Key one hundred with Dave and Jin. We got to
go to South Point Elementary for our final Teacher of
the Month presentation for this school year.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Yes, and we got to see our good friend and
the principal, Bill Christian. Yes, it was so good to
see him again. We've been to South Point Elementary for
several Teachers of the month. Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
And by the way, mister Christian let us know that
he and his foreign exchange students, Oh.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
My gosh, yes, David Remsick, he's from Slovakia.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
They listen every morning.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
They listen to us every single morning.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yea.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
And they do the battle as well. They love to
you know, play along in the car and that's yeah.
Mister Christian said, I cannot call in because he's like,
I'm the principal of the school and I will not
know half of those. It's all good, I understand. Oh
my gosh. Well, so we got to award our April
twenty twenty five Teacher of the month. That would be
(00:59):
missus Best. Yes, she is our teacher of the month.
She has been there for years and she was so
surprised yesterday. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
So all three of my kids went to South Point Elementary. Yes,
now Sarah graduated with her oldest daughter. We've known their
family for years.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Crazy people.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
She's amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
She was so sweet. She was surprised, absolutely, and I
thought she had the best shirt on. It was, you know,
like a little hard, but it was made out of
pencils and it was about teaching. So I thought, well,
that's perfect for the teacher of the month. And she
was like, oh gosh, had I known you all were coming,
I would have looked better than it.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Like now, that's why we liked the surprise. Yeah, you
don't expect anything to be perfect, saying you know, I
can't believe my desk is a little messy or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Girl, Yeah, I didn't notice anything. I was her to say, nobody.
I didn't notice at all. I just noticed that the
students were all so sweet, so happy that she had won,
and all of them were so excited for summer break,
except for one one little girl. She was like, no,
I don't want to go.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
I would just like to keep going to school every day.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I was like, well, honey, we bring you on down
to the station. You can be an intern for the summer. Well,
we should work show you what to do.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
We also ran into Miss Jill Young and her students
there in the cafeteria area as we were about to leave,
and one of our students, or I guess maybe even
a few of them overheard that we were there, and
we stopped and got to wave at them. Yes, they
were super excited to see us.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
They were like David jen like from the radio.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Okay, here in our school. That was cool. And then
Miss England before we left, came out to say hello
and said that my son Tyler, who's now a senior
in high school, had given her her favorite gift ever
from a student, which was a can of tuna. She
loved tuna, ate it every day, and he knew she
(02:54):
loved it, and she he loved her, you know, she
was one of his all time favorite teacher. Oh my,
and hooked her up.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah canatuna.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah. So she said she's gonna have to do, you know,
something a little special for him for his graduation.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
That's hilarious. Yeah, pantatuna, man, that's all takes.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
She had him in third grade, by the way, now
he's a senior.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Well, congratulations to missus. Beth A Stokely, a south Point
Elementary School our teacher of the month.
