Speaker 1 (00:01):
Key one hundred with Dave and Jin. Tracy has been
talking four weeks about getting the leaves out of our yard.
Why because she says, it's a real problem.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I had a.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Problem, thank you.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I think they're beautiful. Yeah, I just thought that yesterday
when I was driving home and looking at all the
leaves in all my neighbor's yards, I say, gosh, I
love this time of year, and I love seeing the leaves.
And then I did see, you know, somebody's yards just
like pristine and beautifully green again, and I was like, oh,
they breaked up all their leaves right here.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
You know, what a terrible decision. So that happened at
our house this weekend, Tracy says, everybody all aboard, pulls
me off the couch for watching college football, pulls Jackson
and Tyler off of their PlayStations. Yep, I would Sarah wasn't.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
At the house, I'd be making sure she come home.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
He texts her boyfriend, Tristan good Girl say hey. She says, hey,
I know you mentioned having a leaf sucker. Can you
bring that over and bring my daughter home to to help.
They weren't together at the time, so he comes over,
fires that thing up Tracy had already been out there raking,

(01:20):
and I was using the blower some and you know,
just blowing leaves everywhere.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I'm like this, you didn't care.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
You were like I was not happy, okay, but the
thing was I had to be out there to keep
my wife happy.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, absolutely, buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
So we're all out there complaining, all of us talking
about we're the we're gonna be the only yard in
the entire neighborhood with no leaves in it.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Okay, I agree. Well, then Sarah pulls in the drive
and guess what she gets to start helping too. Well,
literally all of us are out there raking up and
bagging these leaves. Oh, because I didn't tell you Tristan's
leaf so was apparently very old and was not sucking
up any leaves. Oh, so we had to put that away.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
That's not helpful at all.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Just go back to the rake and then stuffing it
in the bags. Eight bags later, Oh.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
We have eight bags of leaves.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Sorry, Ironton City workers. Yeah, for all the extra bags,
but they're not too heavy, you'll say that.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Well, sure, but.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Everybody, all of us were like, this is the most
ridiculous task we've ever done. The most ridiculous way we've
ever spent a Saturday, except for Tracy.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
She's out there, I know.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Get up the leaves.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Here we go. Looks so much better. I was like, Trace,
I don't think it looks any different, honestly. Oh well,
I mean there's still leaves here and there, and it's
not like we had big piles before that. They were
kind of spread out and they're.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Still going to fall and flow from the rest of
the neighbor.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
The wind's gonna blow.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
He absolutely listen.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
That is I tell you. I I love her spirit
of getting everybody together to do it and help. I
am down for that. I love too that the neighbors
were probably looking out the window and seeing the whole
family together and like, oh my gosh, how sweet is that?
What a great family. But if they could hear you.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Here's all complained swhere.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
This is so stupid. It's ridiculous doing this.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
All right.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
