Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm a dog, I'm a mutt. That is Leon Thomas,
who is from Victorious Who Knew, which was a Nickelodeon
show back in the day, like started in twenty ten.
Sary used to watch that show back in the day.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
And what's funny is that Presley just had me start
watching it with her because it's on Netflix Nowande.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Oh yeah, it's.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Got so much it's so interesting. Anyway, well it's cute
any who, it's cute. So yesterday Heath picked Leo up
from daycare and I was getting dinner ready, and you know,
I had everything set up ready to go. And usually
when Leo walks in, he's so flipping cute.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
He always walks through the door, Hi, mommy, Hnny. You know,
it's so flipping adorable.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
And he always takes his shoes off at the door,
and he throws his socks in the laundry and then
he comes into the kitchen. Oh yeah, okay, you cannot
have a feral toddler. They will run you over. Okay,
you have to train them. So so yeah, so he
comes into the kitchen, he sits at his little table
and he's got his food and he's ready to go,
and he's pleasant and delightful and he's sweet to me.

(01:05):
He hugged me as soon as he saw me, and
I asked him how school was, and he did say
school was not very fun.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Today I was.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
And so when I talked to Heath as he sits
down to eat, he was like, well, he's a completely
different person right now.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I was like, what do you mean.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
He was like he was not happy in the car.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I was like, oh gosh, why.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
He was like, he was just a punk. Everything I
was saying. He was mad at everything I was telling
him he didn't want to do, and he was just
fighting me the whole way. I was like, oh my gosh,
I'm so sorry. And he goes and now look at him,
he's happy as a clean. I turned around and I was like, Leo,
are you having.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
A good day?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
He goes yeah, and I said, is your food yummy?
He goes, it's very yummy. Mommy said dinner, stude, Let's
just thank you, and he goes, huh okay, Well said
that must have been Patricia in the car. I guess
instead of Leah. That wasn't me, that was Patricia.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I know that movie bald Head.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yes, that is James Max, and that is what is that.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
It's called split where.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
He's got like split personalities and he's talking to his
therapist and he's like, that wasn't me, that was Patricia. Yeah,
he was like, that must have been Patricia in the car,
I guess. But he was so sweet to me when
he came home

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
