Speaker 1 (00:00):
Cheryl Crow all I want to do. It is the
nineties and nine key one hundred with Dave and jin. Hey,
there is a new restaurant open and Barber's bell sounds great. Yes,
this is where the old Barbersville Library was, which is
literally steps away from our front door. Okay, so it
(00:22):
is called the Old Library Tavern nice and all of
the menu items are you know, based off they sound
like like book names, you know what I mean. It's
really cool and then they have several books inside it. It
is kind of like a library theme. You know. It's
just so cool inside and it looks so different. Like
I told Heath when we sat down to eat, I
(00:42):
was like, oh my gosh. I remember literally like hunkering
down in that back corner with whatever book I had
from the library and like reading by myself for upwers,
like hungring down in that back corner with a little
boy and day Robert Gie Smooth, Dave Roberts do that
at the library. I do that at the library. MG.
(01:08):
Oh my gosh. No. Their food was so delicious too,
by the way, So they have tons of menu items,
which usually happens when you first start, you know, like
a restaurant first opens, they have so many menu items
and then they kind of windle it, dwindle it down
to what really everybody likes, you know. Yeah, so they
do pizzas like fool pizzas they also do. I saw spaghetti,
(01:32):
I saw pasta, I saw there is wings, there's hot dogs,
there were burgers, and so we each got like a
sub that they had, and so I got the Dante
Italian sub, which had all the Italian stuff on it, banana, pepper's, pepperoni,
the lammie, you know, hey, it was so good. It
(01:52):
was absolutely so good. And then Heath got the pizza sub,
which he said was we got like little pretzels to
dip and like cheese to dip and for our appetizer,
and that cheese was amazing and so guess so after
that we went for lunch one day and just Heath
and I tried it out. So then we told Presley
that they have like this dirty soda bar in the back,
(02:14):
and actually it is the owner's twelve year old daughter,
Cammy who runs that dirty soda bar. So we walked
down on Saturday afternoon with Leo and Presley and they
have like a little arcade. So Leo and Presley, just
like run off to the arcade and hang out in
there while we're ordering the dirty sodas and the dirty sodas,
so I didn't know what a dirty soda. So it
(02:35):
is like soda like either sprite or root beer or
pop or whatever. Just want some type of pop. But
then you actually have like like cream in it as well,
so it's like half in half or like a milk
or whatever mixed with it. It's actually really flip and delicious.
I didn't think i'd like it. It was absolutely delicious.
And Cammy actually made them amazingly, and she took our
(02:56):
payment and everything. And I was talking to I think
it was her mom, and I was like, so, how
old are you and she's like, I'm twelve. And I
was like, oh my gosh, girlfriend, you're killing it. I
like it. But yeah, So I was talking to Heath about,
you know, all these restaurants and everything that are around us,
you know, in Barbersville. He was like, Babe, our fifties
are gonna be lit and I was like, what do
(03:17):
you mean. He was like, the kids are gonna be
old enough they don't want to hang out with us anymore.
We're gonna walk to each restaurant, bar, whatever. We're gonna
walk to all of them at the same time. I
don't care. And then we're gonna come on back. We're
gonna have a great, great decade in our fifties. Like well,
I guess you're not wrong about that. I'm down for it,
(03:38):
all right. That is it for a Monday. Oh it's Monday,
December one, by the way. Oh my gosh, it's September,
the month of Christmas. Y'all better get your shopping on.
All right. Well, we'll be back here tomorrow, that's right.
We'll see that great day
