Speaker 1 (00:00):
So I found a list of things that people used
to say all the time that would absolutely make zero
sense to kids today.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Okay, let's hear it.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Okay, I gotta print the directions. Give me a second.
Oh yeah, because we used to have to print map
quest direction.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
What I did on Tracy on our first couple of
vacations when we were first married, all the way back
in two thousand, by the way, right, we I went
to the old computer.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Dialed up, yeah, right right. I had to wait for
it to connect exactly like an alien taken over.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
And then yeah, you went to map quests.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
And eat off those instructions.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
I mean that. And you gotta print off the way
back too. You can't forget, because we did forget One time.
My friend Courtney and I were driving to Pittsburgh and
we printed off the go to their instructions, and then
when we were going back, I was like, oh, we're
gonna print, let's just go backwards.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah right, just turn your papers upside down.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Oh and we got lost. That was terrible, absolutely terrible.
Here's a quarter call someone who cares, all right, which
is you know, a paypa always had to have a
quarter to call someone. Let's see here, well okay, And
this one says, would you like to accept a call
from practice? Is over come? Pick me up? Or did

(01:16):
you check the newspaper to see what the movie times
were like?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Check the newspaper. We always made the phone call to the.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Times.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah. Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
This one says, call me after eight, I'm out of minutes.
I used to. I remember telling my friends, hey, call
me later, call me after nine. It was after nine. Like,
call me after nine because my phone my I get
unlimited nights and weekends.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, yeah, I missed those times. I don't know, maybe not.
I feel like things are a little bit better than that.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I want the payphones with quarters back. I do, so
so do. Those are so dirty, but the buttons were
fun to push.
