Speaker 1 (00:00):
Butterfly, Crazy Town nineties and nine Key one hundred with
Dave and Jin. So I am doing a new podcast
with Bally Health and my good friends Jess Staples and
Melanie Adkins. And so here's the deal. We get into

(00:22):
some deep question okay, Okay. So basically it's called TMI
by the way, Talking Medical Information with Valley Health. And
so we're inviting providers to come on air and just
answer the questions that you feel too embarrassed to ask
your doctor. Oh yeah, so we can get you all
the answers that you need. Nice. And so this next

(00:43):
episode of the episode that we recorded yesterday, it's good to
premiere about mid May. Okay, but it is it doesn't
I mean, it goes into it okay. And we are
talking women's health, okay. And we interviewed doctor Caleb Huff,
who is and ob g y N at Valley Health,
and funny enough, I know a couple of women that

(01:05):
see him, so I've heard his name for years. He's
a very easy to talk to guy. He was very
open and honest about several questions that we had for
him yesterday, nice, including something like we I think we've
discussed this before, like waxing or shaving and preparing yourself

(01:25):
for your doctor's visit for a female okay, you know,
the once a year visit, the annual check up with
the doctor. You want to make sure, you know, you
are cowered fighty. That's a great one. You know, you
want to make sure that your high gien's up today,
you know what I mean. So we talked to him

(01:46):
about that, and we were like, so does that matter?
Does that does that bother you at all? He was
like absolutely not, he goes not even a little bit,
doesn't even phase us. I was like, really, I don't
care if you've not showered in three weeks. Well in
your point? He no. He he was like, listen, basic hygiene.
That's all I care about. That's all I care about.
That's fine. And then he said and some women will

(02:07):
actually apologize to me over and over because they hadn't
shaved their legs or something. And he's like, I don't
care about that. I don't even see that. I'm like, okay,
well that's good to hear from a doctor. Okay. And
then yeah, we did also ask him, you know, just
several female questions, but about like PMS and you know,
is it real or is it just something that you know,

(02:28):
guys love to say to women just to get them going.
He's like, no, no, no, no, no, it is absolutely real.
He goes, hormones are a big deal. He goes, and
I feel like guys, you know, go through a time
of the month where it's a little different in their
hormone situation too. It's like, okay, He was like, so,
hormones are the ones that play the role here. Did
you say, why is it there a word for that? Doctor? Well, no,

(02:49):
because he's not the one to deal with that, but
the main men in the world. No, I don't know
who's going to deal with that. But anyways, he was
very open and honest about things, and he did say
he was starting to go into you know, PMS is
a real thing, but then it could get even worse
and go into PMDD, which is a worst case of

(03:11):
PMS basically, And he said it's kind of like when
you feel like completely out of control for that once
a month, you know, you feel like you're so angry
or so irritable or so upset that you almost affect
your daily life. And I was like, oh my gosh,
maybe I should look into that. I didn't know that
I had had that as well, and he was like, absolutely,

(03:33):
I didn't know that existence. Oh my gosh, yes, he said.
He said, listen, there are so many women who think, gosh,
this can't be just normal PMS, because I'm feeling completely
crazy right now. He goes, that's PMDD. He said, we
can help you with that. I'm like, oh my god,
well now I need to come talk to you. I mean,
I learned so much yesterday. But he basically, he said
his goal is to make women understand their bodies more,

(03:56):
but to help them realize that some things you're feel
are not normal. Like women will come in there and
be like, yeah, I've been on a pain level of
probably eight to ten for the last month and a
half now, and he's like, my gosh, that's not okay.
You need to talk to us about this. I'm like, well, no,
we typically are told to suck it up and deal

(04:17):
with it, so we just we live in the pain
and we're like, oh, yeah, that's no big deal. It's
just like period, you know, it's nuts. So yeah, it's
a very interesting podcast so far. We have got a
few sessions with doctor Caleb Huff coming up. By the way.
This one, like I said, will premiere the mid middle
of May, and it starts off with a bang, So

(04:37):
it starts off pretty pretty interesting. Well all right there,
it's just gonna get deeper into convo from there, so
check it out. Tm I talking medical information with Valley
Health and it's actually on our podcast page. To just
go to key one hundred dot com and you can
find it. Check it out. And that is it for
us on a hump day. Oh well, look at that

(04:58):
hump day. We'll see you back here tomorrow. I have
a great day.
