Speaker 1 (00:15):
All right, so we get it early morning texts from you, Mike, yeah,
saying it's a video. Here it is and it's a drone.
And then moments later I see a drone over the
one who want to barrom. I want to just stop,
but there's traffic in front of me behind me.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
I couldn't take a video.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Well, people started pulling over when I saw this thing.
I saw people pull over and they were filming or whatever.
But it was circling counterclockwise and then it was like
a fiery amber light and then it darted to the
left and left a streak of light.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
And where were you when you saw it?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I was right on the sixty and six O five.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Okay, north southbound east.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
West going west.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
We need to post this.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I can post it, yeah, posted out.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
The video.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Might have to bleep a thing or two, but I'll
post it.
Speaker 6 (01:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yeah, I know you were excitable. It is startling. It is.
And then the one I saw didn't quite have that
same activity, but it was just holding a pattern and
then it moved. And the way you can tell it,
it's not a plane. It didn't go forward, it went sideways.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Yeah, and size wise, all.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Size wise, I would say, it's the size of a
box truck. My god, what about you, Mike.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, I mean car.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah, it's a little bigger than a car, I would say,
but it's hard to say. I mean, it was a
fiery bulb tied to light and then it just fired
off to the left, leaving a streak of light.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
How many people pulled over for this?
Speaker 3 (01:46):
I saw two cars pull over and I was trying
to capture my videos that was heading in.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
There were a dozen last night in Jersey. I think
six over Ohio obviously two that we've.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Well and we've had them before over so yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
I mean they've been in Redondo, Pacoima, Temecula now over
the sixty and the one O one.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, So if you've seen them, call us. It's eight
hundred and ninety two nine KOST. You can also leave
us a talkback on talkback Tuesday. Go to the iHeartRadio
out press that mic you're around where Ellen Casco. You
she's gone up, Grandpa Cold. No you. Ellen came Morning Shot.
Speaker 7 (02:31):
Ellen came Morning Shot.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I'm going to bring to go inside entertain a minch.
All right, Jamie Lee Curtis landed her next big role
Oscar winner j LC will tell you all about that.
And then Jamie Fox. Okay, so someone threw a glass
at him at mister Chows in Beverly Hills. We'll all
started with a laser pointer. We now know the thrower,
(02:54):
not the throwy. I guess Jamie would be the throwy.
He was the receiver. Who was the passer?
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Right?
Speaker 4 (03:01):
And are you going to talk about the kind of
laser pointer it was?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (03:05):
Sure?
Speaker 5 (03:06):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Next it's the.
Speaker 7 (03:08):
Llen k Morning Show.
Speaker 8 (03:09):
You guys are great to listen to. Great energy host.
Speaker 7 (03:12):
One oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
All right, Jamie Fox's birthday celebration in Beverly Hills that
mister Chow ended with him needing stitches and it came
from a prank orchestrated by crew members from the Jackass
Production company. Uh so this all went down Friday night.
Fox was dining with his family, including his children. Someone
from a private VIP party upstairs, because there's a glass
of the upstairs of mister Chow's has a glass wall
(03:35):
you can see down into the restaurant. So someone from
that private VIP party pointed a laser at Fox's table,
projecting the image of a male member onto the table.
And remember Jamie Fox's with his kids and his family,
so he was super upset because of the kids at
the table, and the image was of course naturally disturbing.
(03:55):
So he walked upstairs to the VIP room and asked
the folks up there to police. The room was rented
out by well, I can't say their production company, but
it's Blank House Productions, which is owned and operated by
Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jones of Jackass fame. So none
of the Jackass stars were at the holiday party, but
the group included crew members who worked for the production company.
(04:18):
The stunt trigger Jamie who shouted in front of my daughters.
So a crew member allegedly threw a thick drinking glass.
It ended up hitting Jamie in the face and cutting
his mouth. So Jamie stood there bleeding and said, it's
my birthday? What is wrong with you? He left the
restaurant to get stitches, and an attorney representing blank House
(04:39):
production set. Although the crew has the greatest respect for Jamie,
the version of events that has been presented is totally
inaccurate and deeply unfair to those attending their holiday celebration
that night. Law enforcement has heard people from the Jackass
production company their side of the story, but I believe
Jamie Foxx. We miss Jackass.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Yeah, And the name of their production company.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Is that Yeah, So no wonder they have a laser
that points that people. Yes, all right, Jamie Lee Curtis
is headed to murder, she wrote. She's in early talks
to play the iconic Jessica Fletcher, a crime writer turned
crack detective who was at the center of the long
running original TV series that starred Angela Lansbury Murder. She wrote,
we have for twelve seasons starting in nineteen eighty four.
(05:23):
So Jamie Lee Curtis is bringing it back. And if
you are thinking of traveling in the future, the Castle
from the Sound of Music is open to the public
as a hotel. It's called Schloss leopold Skrn and it's
in Salzburg, Austria. I get just some Schloss, all right.
Sophronio Vazquez won the voice and it was Michael Boublay
(05:45):
as his mentor. It's his first win. So Sophronia went
on The Kelly Clarkson Show and revealed what it was
like having first time coach Michael Boublay as his mentor.
Speaker 9 (05:55):
If I'm going to be real, he's very cool and
he's so funny. He is he and always play hockey
with us and yeah, and then it's really weird because
it's not the voice, it's not part of the voice.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
But he was like, do you know how to play hockey?
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Okay, So that's all he wants to do besides singing,
be with his family. I used to chase that puck there.
He is Michael Boublay. Past one of three point five.
Speaker 10 (06:27):
Of a.

Yeah, thirsty for more cool?
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Oh, Merry Christmas.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Coast one o three point five.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
The smell of Success. It's a happiness hack for you
here on Coast one of three point five, Ryan Man, No,
what is the smell success?
Speaker 4 (08:51):
This one today comes from Perceptual and Motor Skills, which
is a research journal. So I'm backing this up to
let you know this isn't just me throwing out nonsense.
Before we get to the actual smell of success, I'll
tell you the three that place the lowest. Oh, okay,
from folks who maybe themselves or their clothes smell of
these three things. Oh oh, they are deemed less successful.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Lemon, which surprised me. I find lemon to be a
nice pleasant yeah. Onion, onion, and smoke.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Okay, okay, so those are all kind of. I mean
not lemon, but the other two are understanding.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Right, right, right? But number one, would you guys have
a guess, like, there's one thing that smells like success?
What does that smell?
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Gosh, I'm gonna say, heine.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
I mean, stop there, how'd you do that?
Speaker 1 (09:39):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:39):
I know that's correct.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
It's pine.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
It's pine.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
I thought it's the holiday season, it's a happiness hack.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
It's pine.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Pine. Wait if we smell like pine trees were successful?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
And I'm going to tell you why in a second.
But yes, this study is fine. Found that people who
smell of pine all perceived to be more successful, intelligent, sociable, sanitary,
and attractive. And here's why why this is crazy. Pine
trees themselves subconsciously, even if we just smell a tree,
a pine tree or pine cone, they're associated with strength
and resilience. Okay, they evoke feelings that we don't even
(10:11):
know we're having, of accomplishment and achievement.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
That is amazing.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
Good guess, Ellen, Thank.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
You Ryan, Oh yeah, you smell like a pine tree.
Speaker 15 (10:21):
Feel good continues next on the L ANDK Morning Show,
Coast one three point five.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Top Stories, Top of the Hour, Good Morning of Ellen,
k and President elect Donald Trump held a press event,
his first since winning, where he announced a new one
hundred billion dollar investment in the US. The money is
coming from SoftBank Group, a Japanese tech company. Their CEO,
Masa Yoshisan joined Trump at mar A Lago, pledging that
huge sum of money in various energy projects and construction.
(10:48):
Thirty four days until Donald is sworn in again at
the US Capitol, and the Chargers just bolted up Christmas
for hundreds of kids in Compton. The team showed up
yesterday along with former Charger Terry Crews and the Canair Elementary,
where every student was given a new bicycle. Earlier this month,
students were asked to participate in an essay competition, but
were told only a few winners would get a bike. Nah,
(11:10):
everyone got one, along with a helmet, of course. And
after all that excitement, the team called up a beloved
longtime McNair teacher known as mister Bill. Terry Crews handed
him an envelope containing two tickets to Super Bowl fifty
nine in New Orleans. Is February unreal? That is such
a feel good and how good are you at hiding
resting gift face during the holidays. There's a recent pull
(11:31):
of two thousand adults who celebrate winter holidays. They looked
at the phenomenon of resting gift face, which is the
expression someone gives when they don't really love their gift.
It happens intentionally or not unintentionally. Resting gift face was
found to come out the most often when receiving gifts
from family members. That's number one, number two significant others,
and then number three when your friends give you a
(11:54):
gift you don't really want. All right, A study found
that eating no sweets might kill you, so go ahead
and eat some sugar. Researchers track the added sugar intake
of seventy thousand people to see how it affected their
heart health. They looked at three sources or sugary toppings
like cookies, sweetened drinks like soda, and honey. They found
that too much sugar, especially in drinks, can up your
(12:15):
risk for heart attack or stroke. But they're also surprised
to find that people who completely avoid sugar are also
at higher risks. So find that in middle ground, all right, sunny, clear, windy,
even warmer for today, touching on seventy five see Valencia
seventy Van nine seventy five and right now it's fifty
in Burbank. We run on Celsius Energy Drinks. It's KOST
Los Angeles Coast one oh three point five. Coming up,
(12:38):
we're gonna send you to Shakira. It's also a talk
back Tuesday here and we're spotting drones all over the
south Land. Call us with your spottings.
Speaker 12 (12:47):
Ole outside is bread four, but the fly is so
did at four. Since we've no place so good, let
its know, let.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
It sot us.
Speaker 15 (13:00):
It's the LANK Morning Show, Mary Christmas cost one three
point five and.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
We are the l K Morning Show. Thank you for
having us on being with us. We are live, local
and late breaking and coming up, we're going to send
you to Shakira at Sofi Stadium. What a show she
You know, when Shakira wasn't as big and famous as
she is now, she would perform at different events here
(13:28):
for the radio station. She did a couple like jingle
Balls or Wango Tangos, and she would be the like
the warm up to the warm up and look at
her now selling out stadiums and we're going to send
you there. So it's your Llen KQ and A coming up.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Even then, she was probably the show stopper. It's like,
follow that everyone, right.
Speaker 16 (13:47):
All right?
Speaker 1 (13:48):
So we saw drones. They're everywhere. What are they? They're
over the Southland. They're big, their car side truck size.
Hard to tell. I saw one over the one and
went a bar them this morning early, Mike, you were
on your way in the.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Sixty on the sixty west, right by the six oh five.
I saw other people pull over to I mean, I'm
not the only one that saw this, a.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Bright amber light and then it just just.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Darted to the left.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Who is it? What is Diana? Thank you for calling.
You saw one this morning too, tell us what you saw.
Speaker 11 (14:18):
Okay, so exactly what Mike just described is exactly what
I saw. I was going ten west and it's like
a fiery bright light, but it was really high up
and then it just disappeared. And then I didn't almost crushed,
but I tried really hard to like try to find
it because it was super bright. I thought it was
(14:39):
a shooting star, but it just kept going and then
it just disappeared. I don't know where it was.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
We are in the middle of a huge meteor shower,
but these are not meteors. I saw one over the
one and one. This is not a shooting star, no, no.
Speaker 11 (14:52):
But I thought it was for a second.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Yeah, right, anything that can change its position on an
access in a second like that up down side side,
that's not the shooting start.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
So what do you think they are?
Speaker 11 (15:04):
I don't know. But my husband's freaking out because of
the Temecula one that you guys are talking about, Like
he thinks the aliens in there here, so he's freaking out.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
I'm not.
Speaker 11 (15:14):
I think more of the drone thing, but I don't
know because I wasn't paying attention. I looked up and
exactly what Mike had said is what I saw, and
then just disappeared. I'm like, what the heck?
Speaker 1 (15:23):
My only fear is why, why the surveillance and what
it wasn't for? Are we being protected or are we
being tested? Or are we being messed with? Right?
Speaker 11 (15:37):
I don't know, right, Diane, definitely don't know.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah, thank you for your spotting.
Speaker 11 (15:44):
All right, guys, have a good day.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Bye, Yeah you too. Yeah. So it's hard to drive
and look up and try to get a video too.

Speaker 17 (16:32):

a Christmas tree farm. Oh my gosh, that is crazy.
Love you guys, have a wonderful day.
Speaker 16 (16:53):
Bye bye.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Thank you Terry for your talkback on Talkback Tuesday. It
is true, like so so the successful people smell of
pine and Taylor grew up on a Christmas tree farm.
It's the song.

the first caller with the right answer to our question.
(18:05):
Okat half of all men borrowed this from their girlfriend.
So even if you're married now, when you were dating,
what was it? Half of all men borrow this from
their girlfriend. It's eight hundred and ninety nine. KOST will
get your guesses and we're gonna get them.
Speaker 15 (18:24):
Next to Coast one oh three point five with the

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Hi Ada, Hi, Hey, Ada, City of Industry. So it
says you're taking allergy shots. Are you on your way
to the doctor? Yes? I am, okay, what are you
allergic to?
Speaker 10 (18:52):
My cat?
Speaker 14 (18:52):
Unfortunately?
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Oh but you but you still keep the cat?
Speaker 11 (18:58):
Yes, because she's my baby baby girl.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
I had to come up with a name, like for
a company, and I had a baby cat at the time,
so I just called it Baby Cat Productions. Okay, so
your baby cat sends you for allergy shots and you
are on your way there. Good luck with that. And
what's your guest? Half of all men borrow what from
(19:23):
their girlfriend?
Speaker 11 (19:25):
Is it shampoo?
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Shampoo's a great guess. It is not the right answer.
Speaker 14 (19:29):
Oh all right, I try again.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
Why do women get the better shampoos? Ours are just like,
here's a bunch of stuff in a bottle. Questions are
just so basic.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I feel like there's more unisex now than there used
to be. But you're right, it's kind of like we
get all kinds of like for every color of year, yep,
and every shade.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
We have like two options.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
I'm so sorry, Well, okay, what about this? Like you both,
Mike and Ryan, you both have really tight fades. You
don't have a lot of hair to wash. You're right, yeah,
so why would you need all the bells?
Speaker 5 (20:05):
And you're right?
Speaker 4 (20:05):
Fair enough?
Speaker 1 (20:07):
What'd you say? Am?
Speaker 4 (20:08):
You're right?
Speaker 14 (20:10):
Hi?
Speaker 4 (20:10):
Christine?
Speaker 16 (20:12):
Hi, good morning Christine on her way to work.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Where do you work?
Speaker 11 (20:17):
I'm a teacher, heja teach English?
Speaker 10 (20:20):
Midool?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Oh nice? All right, well Christine, thank you for listening.
Thanks for Colin. What's your guess?
Speaker 11 (20:28):
I think it's a Carr car.
Speaker 16 (20:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
When I was dating my now husband, he borrowed my car.
I was out of town and he dinged it on
the door on the passenger side. So when I got home,
he's like, hey, here's your rental. I'm like, oh no,
what happened? He got me a rental car while he
fixed it. It's a great guess. It's not the right answer.
Speaker 11 (20:56):
Oh okay, Well, thank you for having.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Me, thanks for listen. In we go to Kathy Riverside.
Speaker 14 (21:02):
Hi, Kathy, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Hey, we're good. Our last listener just said it was
borrowing a car, and I remember Ryan borrowed our very
own Rachel's car and returned it with a giant crack
in the windshield. Wow, I forgot about that, And then
you said, oh I didn't really, I didn't notice. I
did fix it, though you did fix it. Oh shoot,
(21:30):
how did that happen?
Speaker 4 (21:31):
I don't know, like a rock hit, but you fixed it.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
See when you borrow something, I guess that's the risk.
But Kathy, what is your guest? Half of all men
borrow what from their girlfriend?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Is it deodorant?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Deodorant? See, I go the other way around. I use
men's deodorant. I love old spice fresh stick. I take
it from my Kathy says to yodorant. Kathy, you're going
to Shakekaren soap by.
Speaker 11 (22:06):
You're right, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
It is yodorant. Half of all men borrow their girlfriend's
deodorant strong enough for a man, but made for a woman.
Remember that one.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Yeah, secret secret. Yeah. I had to borrow yodurant once
from producer Mike. Yeah, I forgot. I don't know, I forgot,
I ran out or forgot that.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
I didn't try to give it back. I know.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Then I told him I'm going to go to CBS
and get your replacement. But the one he gave me,
was uncentid I.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Do everything uncentived.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Are you allergic to sense?
Speaker 2 (22:40):
I'm not. I just don't. Yeah, I'd rather not have
a cent.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
So I made the mistake of getting the fresh scent
and I gave it to him. He looked at me like, oh,
I love the fresh What this is? I'm not using this?
Speaker 1 (22:50):
I'm sorry. We all have our thing all right, Thank

Close one oh three point five Top Stories Top of
the Hour, Good morning, a Melan k and Apple just
rolling out a brand new update eighteen point two. It
allows you to generate AI images and your own custom emojis.
Plus Siri now uses chat GPT lots to explore want

image Playground. The one downside the new features are only
(23:29):
available on the iPhone, fifteen and sixteen models, So if
you have a fourteen or earlier new Dice and what
about this? What do teachers really want? What is that gift?
If you're giving your kids, teacher gift this month or
you are a student. Here's what they do and don't want.
Someone pulled eight hundred teachers across the nation about common
gifts they get this time of year. And your safest
(23:50):
bet will not cost you much. It could even be free,
all right. Number three personal items like a scarf or
coffee mug that's wanted by your teach. Number two cash
or gift cards. But the number one thing teachers want
is a handwritten letter card from you, homemade. They love that.
(24:11):
Over half of all teachers said handwritten cards and letters
from these students are a gift they would love to get.
And what about this, it's a feel good. A woman
in Pennsylvania named Margaret just turned one hundred and ten
years old. She said she credits God, good genetics, and beer.
Her favorite is Yingling. It's America's oldest beer, which is fitting.
And so we say happy birthday and way to go, Margaret.
(24:33):
And we do have a sunny, clear, windy day, even
warmer for today, temps touching on seventy five. These are
your Santa Anna wins. And we're gonna hold steady all week.

New Year ever. So that's coming too, all right, all
the lines are ringing. It's good to Pasadena. Patricia, good morning,
(25:39):

careful on the road because the crazies are out there.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
And we're all looking up at the drones above us.
Speaker 18 (26:15):
You know what, I'm glad I can't see. I'm totally blind,
and go figure. It's like if whatever happens happens and
we can't change it. And the thing is, God gives
us all challenges. We may think they're problems, but their
challenges because He wants to see how we're going to
(26:37):
handle it.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Oh my gosh, that is so true, Patricia. What's your
strongest sense? You can't see, but what is your strongest sense?
Speaker 14 (26:45):
Hearing?
Speaker 18 (26:46):
Okay, I can hear quite a distance. In fact, I
kept my father, my birth father, out of an accident
because I forced him to pull over. It was we
were going up here and there were all of us
in the car, the whole family, and he wouldn't pull over,
and I told him, you better pull over to ships
(27:07):
fan and you ain't going to be alive. And he
got mad at me. He got mad at me. But
if two fire engines were coming up and over the
hill and he had just enough time to pull in
and they said, and they said, how did you hear that?
I just wanted to say, thanks for everything you guys do.
(27:30):
It means the world because the way you just all
of you describe things. And I love the way Ryan
starts stuff and he starts laughing in the middle of
it sometimes, and it means a lot to me. It
means a lot because I feel like I'm a part
of you guys. Just do me one favor, and please
(27:52):
be careful on the roads and have a blessed holiday season. Okay,

Abundant Life Christian. Six others injured, two of whom remain
in critical condition, clinging to life. Police are working to
determine that motive for the young girls rampage. She did
(35:09):
a ten class starting at a normal time, so there
was no breach. Also, the campus does not have metal detectors.
A student was new at the school this year, said
to have been wanting to start a new chapter in
her life. This marks the eighty third school shooting of
the year, the most since two thousand and eight. And
what about this snowmanning? A new dating trend that people
(35:30):
are warning against. It describes ending a relationship after the chemistry,
whereas off typically after the holidays. Social media users have
said the fling melts away much like a snowman either
after the holidays over the time spring rolls around. The
winter season has also given rise to other dating trends,
including sledging, that is when a person drags someone along

for the holidays with the intention of dumping them at

It's not the voice, it's not part of the voice.
