Speaker 1 (00:00):
The song is ticking on TikTok. I wonder what's gonna happen. Guys,
what do you think? Do you think we're gonna lose it?
Everyone's going to another Chinese app anyway. So we're the
len K Morning Show. I'm Mellen.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Hey you Happy Wednesday. I'm Ryan Manna.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Hello, I'm Social Queen Darlene.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hi, good morning. I'm producer Micromos.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Okay, I'm going to give you all of the latest.
So the Palisades fire has increased to eighteen percent containment,
red flag warning in effect, Alta dina more containment. But
it's so sad. There's so much history. I hate to
see the history burn. There are century homes in Altadena
that are just gone. They've been there over one hundred years.
(00:41):
So yeah, we're going to keep fighting that fight today.
And let's talk about given too.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Did you see the van, the blue VW van in
the burned out area of the Palisades, that's right, Yeah,
this is a bright blue van. No, I haven't seen this,
so it's burnt hillside and then a old blue VW
van that just is intact.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
It looks like a black and white photo with a
really bright VW bug yea burned out that area.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
It looks photoshopped. Well, there's a theory and conspiracy theory
that blue things don't burn. And so now some people
are saying, paint your roof blue. But it's a whole
like the and then it gets crazy. It's a whole
conspiracy thing. But they call it direct energy weapons. Things
that are blue, recycling, blue containers that didn't burn, the
(01:33):
blue van, that a lot of blue things. They say
that it actually repels fire. I've heard of this. It
happened in Hawaii too. They were talking about the same
things that blue roofs did not burn. Isn't this what weird? Yeah,
it's called do direct energy weapon. Never heard about that before.
I just heard some people talking about it. I was like, Oh,
that's so interesting. I don't know if it's if it's true,
(01:54):
I would hate to rely on it. Yeah, but yeah,
it's a we'll post that photo up. It's just thisw
van in alf burned out area.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I will say that, you know, if you're looking for
silver linings.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
One thing this situation's done is giving us a lot
more knowledge on a lot of things that we never
would have known about.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, you know, in fact, like how many of us
have an emergency kit in our cars. I do now
now you dom h just like things that you might
need toothbrush, underwear, whatever it is. And they say always
keep that some duplicates of your medications. Things like that.
I never knew that. We want to say hello and
(02:31):
thank you to the Dream Center and everyone who's been
to the Dream Center. Nancy sent us this video.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
Good Hi.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
My name is Samley Nudes.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
I'm from Sampy Joe, California and heard about the Dream
Center listening to Coast and decided to come out and
do whatever I.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Could and donate as much as I could.
Speaker 8 (02:50):
Everybody, do what you can.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Do what you can. You've done more than you can do.
We need a drum roll for this, Oh shoot, I
mean the Dream Center is so full of donations, people giving, giving,
giving and volunteering that iHeart and Coast are happy to announce.
If we don't have a drum roll.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
It's not I'm working on it.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
I got it here.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Because of you. Five million dollars, Oh my God has
been raised the La Dream Center. It's incredible and it's
only Wednesday, and we're going to keep on keeping on,
you know, Clinton Kershaw is how we first met the
Dream Center ten years ago. Then of course Justin and
(03:34):
Courtney Turner.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
And they still have their food bank there too.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, so yeah, what a place it's It's refreshing to
go volunteer and be with other people and talk about
your feelings.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I got a phone call yesterday from a guy named
Michael Foley. He lives in Carlsbad. He runs sock guy
dot com. So we spoke on the phone. He had
sent an email at first, and then he called me.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
He said, okay, how many boxes of socks do you need?
How many?
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Just give me a number, Just tell me how many
should I send? And he said, look, we do this
year round for various homeless shelters and places and people
in need. He said, I'm just gonna keep sending monthly
if that's okay with you. I'm like, dude, where did
you come from?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (04:11):
And then I even asked him, I said, do you
wanna do you want to pop on and you know,
just shout out. We'll give you a shout out and
talk about what you guys do. And he said, no,
we like to do it quietly. I don't want to
come on because I don't want it to feel opportunistic, and.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I'm like, man, yeah, angel Well, like David Muir said,
the City of Angels living up to its name. Yeah, Okay,
coming up, we're gonna go Inside Entertainment. So Fia vere
Gara has opened her wallet and her heart. She found
love in all of this through the smoke and ash.
Someone walked towards her. They had a two hour lunch
(04:45):
and now they're coupling up. And they're both very, very wealthy,
so they're both giving back as well to the City
of Angels.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Also, I know you watched the Diddy doc Will you
tell us about it? Coming up?
Speaker 9 (04:54):
Okay, Oh, there's more feel good next on the L
and K Morning Show Coast one oh three point I
host one on.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Three point five Inside Entertainment with Lan k Well.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Al be Sure is definitely the star of the Diddy
Show on Peacock. It's a documentary called Diddy The Making
of a Bad Boy. So alb Sure says, for the record,
I received more than forty inquiries from production companies and
networks since brother Sean's incarceration, adding that he decided to
speak up because he owes it to the late Camporter
to share the truth. So there are a lot of
(05:27):
there's a lot of b roll in it and al
be Sure kind of taking credit for Ditty because al
be Sure built Diddy's label. I mean that was bad
Boy Records. It was all about alb Sure. He was
the one who had all the number one hit he
financed basically for all the other acts that did he signed.
So anyway, I bailed after about half an hour.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Did you really?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Yeah? I didn't. I don't know. I think I wanted
just to get to the to the Diddy, the dirty
Diddy stuff. I wanted to see, like, WHOA, what is this?
But it was a lot of the preamble history first,
so it might it might teach us something later, Yeah,
but I didn't feel like I was learning much. Okay,
(06:15):
so it's born, I thought, So, okay, okay, what about this?
The LA benefit concert called Fire eight has yet to
name the performers. Some of the acts managed by Irving
A's off and his son may perform on this Friday
night before the Grammys February second. They include Harry Styles,
Mamon five, Fleetwood, Mac, Earthwind, and Fire And this upcoming
show is so big they're gonna do it at the
(06:35):
end to it Dome, but now we need more rooms,
so they might also do it at the Forum as well.
The performances will also be live stream, so that full
lineup is still being finalized. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Marshmallow, Sophia Bergara.
Their GoFundMe raises one hundred million dollars for the fire victims.
A lot of celebrities pitching in. All of the property
(06:55):
damage between the Palisades and Altadena said to be two
hundred and seventy five billion dollars. That's awesome, but nine
figures donated to the victims, some of just globally recognized
biggest names living in the Palisades and so Fia Vergara
also had a nice lunch date and she went out
for two hours after donating, opening her wallet with Lewis Hamilton, Oh,
(07:20):
the Indy car driver. Yeah, so they were flirting after
their two hour lunch. They didn't want to leave each
other's side, and they said that their friends. Lewis famously
dated Nicole Sher's name back.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
In the day, wasn't He also somewhat kind of rumored
to be with Taylor before she got with trav.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
I don't remember that yeah, okay, yep, he also dated Shakira.
So Sophia dated this wealthy orthopedic surgeon named Justin Salomon
last year. But she was flying solo at the Golden Globes.
And now they they're smiling. They look like very friendly,
like they're just having a good time. Anyway, let's talk
about Caitlin Clark. Chris Stocker was in the courtroom, a
(08:01):
Texas man arrested for stalking Caitlin Clark. Turned his court
arrangment into a white spectacle. He's fifty five. His name
is Michael Lewis. This is a felony, it's a well,
it's for stalking. Anyway, this happened, mister.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
Lewis, No, sir, this is initial hearing.
Speaker 10 (08:24):
We are not.
Speaker 9 (08:26):
You have a right to remain silent, and I.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Expect you to exercise that. Okay, this is just telling
you what the charges are, all right. He said, he
doesn't want bond, bail, whatever. He's here, he's staying, so
they're just trying to get him to know his rights.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
So he walked into the court and just said guiltiest charge. Yeah,
I want to hear that beginning again.
Speaker 8 (08:45):
Lewis.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
No, Lewis said, he lives in his vehicle. He's one
hundred dollars to his name. That's why he hasn't hired
an attorney. So anyway, well we're glad that he was
caught the.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 11 (09:01):
You guys are amazing. I appreciate everything you do and
for making everybody smile every day, no matter what the circumstance.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Oh my gosh, I need to hit you up because
my husband he spends a lot of time in his
office chair and now it has a lean.
Speaker 11 (09:38):
I got you.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Okay, I need a new one too.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Mine's pretty gnarly O.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yours is Ryan Like I think our whole studio needs
to be outfitted. We're gonna we're gonna call you up
and talk.
Speaker 7 (09:48):
About the whole studio.
Speaker 10 (09:49):
I don't know about the whole studio.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
But take the L and k Morning Show.
Speaker 7 (09:53):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Jan I love you guys.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
You guys are the beast.
Speaker 10 (09:57):
You make me happy every day when I.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Listen to you guys one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Thank you four having a sign It's Coast one at
three point five and we give you happiness hacks at
this time every day. I love the happiness hacks. It
is turning into a YouTube channel starring Ryan Manow.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Starring you two. And you're the star of Today's.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Of Today's Happiness. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
So a lot of us obviously concerned about security too,
I mean lately, I mean three more arrests for burglary
last night in the Palisades.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Was is just insane? Stop? What are we doing?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (10:31):
But I know Ellen that you guys dealt with while
you were away. You dealt with a false alarm from
your security company. Yes, and there's a hack here, Yes,
there is. We're visiting my mother in law and my husband.
I get these late night phone calls and it was
our security company saying your alarm is going off and
(10:52):
we have sent a patrol car.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
And then the police came. And of course we're in Dallas,
so we were, you know, just anxious trying to get
more information and we find out that it was a
false alarm. That we hadn't closed the door one of
the doors of our house all the way, the one
that led to the garage, so there was a crack
open and that so it couldn't alarm, right, so we
(11:15):
got the false alarm all right. So, you know, a
month goes by, my husband opens the mail. We had
a false alarm bill for one hundred and seventy six dollars.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Just for what just for the cops showing up.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, for the police showing up.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Wow, I had never heard of that before. No, So
a false alarm bill comes to our house and carrely
proved that it was the cracked open door. Maybe someone
did attempt, I don't know. We didn't see any evidence
of that, but one hundred and seventy six dollars. So
my husband said, no way am I paying this. Well,
(11:51):
he decided to go online and look at the website
and he read all the fine print. It would be
like reading just you know.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, the terms and conditions of everything.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Yeah, yeah, like you know when you open a medication,
and then there's that seven page pamphlet like that, and
there at the bottom, at the bottom it says, if
you go to false Alarm School online, we'll wave the bill.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
So he went on false alarm school. He did it
and zeroed out the bill. So if you get a
false alarm, go to false alarm school, all the directions
will be there on your bill and you can wave
that fee.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
So it's just a quick like online e learning.
Speaker 5 (12:31):
I don't know how quick it was, okay, So it's
a lengthy online it says thirty minutes. Okay, all right,
now let's go back to this really quick. Because you
said I don't know that it was the door. That
to me sounds like you left the door open and
you're trying to not blame the door.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
I I don't know. I don't have a three point five.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
It's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 12 (12:50):
Good Morning, Coast QTS.
Speaker 10 (12:52):
That's my new name for you, Coast QTS by.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Coast one of three point five top stories top of
the hour.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Good morning, I'm Elian Kin. Our red flag warning remains
in place until six pm. Possible gusts today ap to
fifty miles per hour, so it is windwatch. Alta Dina
fire forty five percent contained, Palisades Fire nineteen percent contained,
with twenty two thousand first responders continuing to fight those
two main fires this morning. All right, A growing number
of displaced families say Airbnb isn't playing fair. One In particular,
(13:22):
the Skidmores who fled from al Dinas say they found
arrential in Pasadena, but they were shocked to see that
the price for their second week had gone up forty
three percent. To Under state laws, that's considered illegal price
gouging during an emergency, businesses are only allowed to raise
prices by ten percent. Airbnb has yet to comment on
these claims. That's a big ouch. And who do you trust?
(13:43):
A new Gallup poll asked Americans which professions they trust
the most and which they trust the least. All right.
The ones we trust to most number three, military officers,
number two grade school teachers, and number one, with seventy
six percent of Americans having a positive view of nurses.
Thank you nurses, all right. Least trusted profession a lobbyist,
(14:04):
followed by members of Congress and then TV reporters. Yikes,
all right. President Biden's farewell address is tonight at five
on all the major networks, and the people in the
top three spots on Forest Billionaire list, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos,
and Mark Zuckerberg. We'll have prime seats at President elect
Trump's inauguration next week. That happens on Monday. The three
(14:25):
tech billionaires will be sitting together on the platform with
other high profile guests, including Trump's cabinet nominees. All right,
our red flag warning, like I said in place till six,
so much milder conditions ahead at least for the next
four to five days. Glendale and Glendora. You go to
seventy today it is forty five here in Burbank. We
run on Celsius Energy drinks. It's Kost Los Angeles. Coast
(14:46):
one O three point five. Your letters to Ellen coming up,
and we're going to send you to Vegas to see
Lenny Kraftz keeping It's the llen k Morning Show.
Speaker 8 (14:53):
You guys do.
Speaker 6 (14:54):
A great job, and thank you for starting my morning
every day.
Speaker 8 (14:57):
I appreciate you all so much.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Coast one O three.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I like to Ellen for advice because she's seen a
thing or two.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
She is Ellen, and I think all of us know
someone who has been in the situation or who currently is.
Dear Ellen, my ex husband of ten years whom I
share a child with. She's fourteen now, likes to skip
out on child support when possible. He doesn't pay a
lot to begin with, and I try not to rely
(15:24):
on him. Sometimes I've let him slide. Problem is, for
the last two months he has a new girlfriend and
he's skipped out on payments. But I follow them on
social media, and every time he skips out, I see
him on a fabulous weekend. They're most currently in Tahoe.
They've also been to Vegas and they went down to
(15:46):
Julian in San Diego. I feel like I'm being taken
advantage of, and I don't know what to do. Am
I being manipulated or am I jealous? And this is
from Gina hmmm, I mean out their legalities to this.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
I think it depends like I had an ex with
a son and they did not enter into any sort
of court ordered situation.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Oh so they did like a handshake deal.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Yeah, and it wasn't always easy for her to get
that money.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yeah. Guess what if there's no court order or no
way to police it.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Then Look, there's that quote, we encourage what we tolerate.
She's letting this guy slide. You're gonna he's gonna get
used to it well.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
And now he's going to Vegas with a new girlfriend
and she's financing it, so to speak, right, this is
what I would say. This is your fourteen year old daughter.
It's not for it's not for your ex as much
as it is your daughter. So you're depriving your daughter
of the payment. And she's fourteen, and teenagers. Teenagers have
(16:56):
different needs. They're going places with their friends and you know,
just to be a normal teen hanging out and doing
more than when they're just a child.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
Right, So, and this guy's an idiot for posting his
getaways by the right side.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Note on that Vegas, Tahoe and Julian. Have you ever
been to Julian?
Speaker 2 (17:15):
I don't even know what Julian is.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
So Julian's gorgeous. It's kind of apple country. It's hilly
and green. Then you go pick apples and it's it's
outside of San Diego. It's ranchy and farmy and apple sightery.
So you know, it sounds like he's he's not only
whining and dining her, he's like traveling with her on
you know, on his money. Okay, it's eight hundred ninety
two nine. Kost your letters to Ellen. What do you
(17:38):
think and are you going through it? Give us a call.
Speaker 9 (17:40):
The feel good continues next on the L and K
Morning Show, Coast one three point boy.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
We're the LK Morning Show. Thank you for having us on,
Thank you for giving, Thank you for supporting Dream Center.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
La.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
We have joined forces. And Ryan, do you think that
we could pop our friends back on? Oh yeah, Judy.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
This one's this specific one is Nancy. She was out
there last night. Yeah good, Hi.
Speaker 7 (18:09):
My name is Sampey News. I'm from sampe Joe, California
and heard about the Dream Center listening to Coast and
decided to come out and do whatever I could and
donate as much as I could.
Speaker 8 (18:21):
Everybody do what you.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Can, and you are and we just want to say
thank you so much. We just want to help the
helpers who can help, and you are helping. And if
you are in your car with your mom and dad
right now, and you have friends who've lost their house,
you've watched the news and maybe you've lost your house yourself.
(18:44):
Child psychologists say that these are the three phrases. As
parents we need to say, I'm so glad you're talking
to me about this. Number two, I believe in you,
and number three tell me more because they're all designed
to get your child to talk more. So let your
feelings out. We've been getting a lot of calls about
(19:04):
people and coping with this disaster.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
So I mean, yesterday, Eleen, we spoke with a fourth
grader Mia, I mean, and she said all of her
friends have not all, but many have lost their homes.
And I mean, you think about being in fourth grade.
These are places you'd go to play and have sleepovers.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Yeah, speaking of sleep, sleep as much as you can.
Sleep helps e raise bad memories. It's therapy for your emotions.
So you might feel sleep less. Everyone's adrenaline is running high.
But try to sleep as much as you can. It's healing,
all right. So is Lenny Kravitz, by the way, and
he's going to be in Vegas Park MGM, dob Be
(19:42):
Live Lenny Kravitz. Two nights at the park, MGM, two
tickets to the show, gas card for the road. We
want to send you there, all right. If you want
to win an argument, do this. It's one thing you
can do to win an argument. So you want to
win an argument, do this. It's eight hundred nine two
(20:03):
nine kost. We're gonna get your guesses, and we're gonna
get them.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Next The llen K Morning Show on Coasts one o
three point five. Hello, it's the llen K Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Three point by. Hi Jesse. Hello, Jesse's stopping at McDonald's
in Corona. Pick up some breakfast. What ach you're gonna get?
Speaker 13 (20:41):
Oh just a big muffin and some coffee.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Nice sounds good. Well, thank you for having us on
on your ride. Where are you headed today?
Speaker 8 (20:50):
Oh I'm gonna we'll celebrate our friend's birthday party in
San Diego.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Oh okay, all right, Jesse. Well, we want to know
what you think it is if you want to win
an argument, what should we do?
Speaker 8 (21:02):
Well, my guess would be to apologize.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Apologize? All right, apologize. That's a great guess. It's not
the right answer.
Speaker 8 (21:11):
Oh okay, well, thank you anyway.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Thank you. Hav a great, great breakfast and a great day.
Go to Jay working in Garden Grove.
Speaker 11 (21:18):
What do you do, Jay, I am a drummer for
a senior transportation company.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
All right, well, thank you for having us on. Tell
your passengers we love them.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Absolutely, we'll do we all do.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
What's your guess?
Speaker 14 (21:36):
My guess was you're wrong basically a bit fault or
your side.
Speaker 10 (21:42):
Of the argument.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Oh, even if you know you're right.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
That's what I do.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
When Ryan and I go back and forth. I never
admit I'm wrong when I'm wrong.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
No you Ryan, I don't either.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
We do like we do. We spit facts at each other.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
Yeah, and it's always a kind of like, there's this
weird thing when one of us says the other one's right.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
We just kind of like, wait, what did you just say.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
It again?
Speaker 12 (22:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah, yeah. I like your method, Jay, but it's really
hard to do, and it's not the right answer, admit
you're wrong, But that's a good one.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Thank you, that's Jay teaching us how to be gracious. Hi, Lauren,
how are you? Hi?
Speaker 11 (22:31):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
How about you?
Speaker 11 (22:33):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (22:34):
We're good. We are we're well, I think that as
a city, just as a region, we're just all in shock, yeah,
and trying to find those bright moments and just trying
to help people.
Speaker 11 (22:49):
So and you guys do make that bright for everybody.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Thank you. We feel so lucky that that we can
be here in the morning and hook up people with help.
Speaker 11 (22:59):
Yes, you are doing a great job. That's awesome what
you guys do. So everyone appreciates this.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Thanks Lauren. Well, let's get your guests. So what do
you think it is to win an argument? And you
work as a legal secretary, so you know a lot
about arguing. What do we need to do to win
that argument?
Speaker 11 (23:17):
I'm gonna say stay silent.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Stay silent, the silent treatment. Just stop talking, Lauren. I'm
sure you've learned this being around a lot of lawyers.
Stay silent.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
You're right, Lauren.
Speaker 11 (23:38):
Oh my gosh, I would love to see him a
thank you.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
It's an entire weekend in Vegas at Park MGM, Adobe
Live and then you're always going to stay at Park
MGM Gas cut for the road. Congrats.
Speaker 11 (23:52):
Oh my gosh, thank you guys. You guys are amazing.
I appreciate everything you do and for making everybody smile
every day, no matter what the circumstance.
Speaker 8 (24:02):
So thank you, thank you, thanks for being here.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
If you want to win an argument, stay silent.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
It's hard to do.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
And then if you're the kind of person who likes
to keep talking it out, when someone stays silent with you,
it almost annoys the person that wants to keep.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Talking, right, that's why it works.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
I guess wake up with Ellen k You guys are
the best. I love listening to you. I listen to
you every day. We'd love being here with you Post
one o three point bis.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
You want to win an argument, stay silent. That is
your ellen k Q and A always scientifically proven and posted.
A lot of people are disagreeing with that. We got
to talk back from Julianne Hi Ellen Hi.
Speaker 13 (24:45):
Ryan, I just wanted to say that that's really not
winning an argument.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
That's more like sweeping it under the rug.
Speaker 11 (24:52):
Winning an argument is more when when you see it
my way, touche.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
It's the LNK Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
I got a program doing my phone.
Speaker 12 (25:05):
I got you on the heart radio app on.
Speaker 10 (25:07):
A daily basis.
Speaker 8 (25:08):
I listened to post one oh three point five. You
guys are awesome.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Coast one oh three point five top stories top of
the hour.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Good morning, I'm Ellen k and thankfully yesterday's expected windstorm
didn't fully develop, but the National Weather Service says it
is still on the way. We are currently inside that
forecast pocket strong Santa Ana wins. Santa Anna is predicted
to peak late morning through three o'clock this afternoon. Of course,
we're keeping up with the latest the PDS. Particularly dangerous
situation looks to be most concerning for the five corridor.
(25:39):
Northern La County Fire Chief Christian Crowley says that the
entire department is ready.
Speaker 15 (25:44):
We are taking an aggressive lean Ford posture and the
LAFD has staffed all available resources strategically placing fire patrols
and engines in the unimpacted high fire risk areas in
the city.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
All right in the LAPD, I've arrested four people on
ours charges for allegedly trying to ignite new fires as
firefighters continue to fight the Palisades and Eaten blazes that
have killed a combined twenty five people so far. The
four were arrested in separate arson incidents that occurred outside
the wildfire zones. And it go fund me for victims
of the fires has raised more than one hundred million dollars,
(26:17):
thanks in part to donations and awareness from celebrities like
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sophia Vergara, the Jonas Brothers, Pink, Kristen Bell,
and so many more. Paris Hilton was able to raise
eight hundred thousand for the relief effort in just seventy
two hours. And thanks to you in the Dream Center,
La iHeartMedia and Coast raising five million dollars so far
for the victims. And what about this if you're thinking
(26:40):
of divorcing your millionaire husband for Brad Pitt, Yeah, I
got to make sure he's real. First, there's a fifty
three ye old woman in France. She got scammed out
of eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars by a fake Brad.
The scammer first pretended to be Brad's mom and said
she was exactly the woman that her son needed. Then
she started sending ai photos from fake Brad for a
year and a half, with homes and even a marriage proposal. Eventually,
(27:02):
fake Brad claimed he was hospitalized with kidney cancer anyway,
taking eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars from this woman, Wow,
that is shocking, and we do have highs up to
about seventy today in most areas, much milder conditions at
least for the next four to five days as far
as tempts go. And in Burbank it is fifty. We
(27:23):
run on Celsias c Entergy Drinks KOSG, Los Angeles. It's
Coast one of three point five. More of your calls
about our letter to Ellen. Some payments aren't being made
in a divorce and also we have one thousand dollars.
It's a non pay and a pay coming up. Keep
it here to win that cash.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
It's the L and K Morning Shell.
Speaker 6 (27:44):
There's a lot of negativity in the world, and you
guys drink so much positivity.
Speaker 10 (27:48):
I cannot even tell you how exciting world are.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Coast one oh three point five live press conference going
on right now with.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
LAPD chief Luna also amyer Karen Bass there. But survivors
are suing LEDWP over an empty reservoir, also so cal Edison.
Let's see what else can we tell you about that.
The fires in Palisades and Eton are not growing, which
is good news, but they're not contained either. So I
(28:17):
believe it's a thirty five percent for Palisades, and nineteen
percent for Eton.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
And eighty eight thousand.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
Angelino's still under these evac orders, so not even allowed
to go back home.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Oh my gosh, my friend Monique lost everything in the fire.
Three children, two dogs are okay, and she'll be coming
on with us later on. So many stories of kindness.
Wait until you hear what people are doing for each other.
Speaker 10 (28:45):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I witnessed a story about the lady who was carrying
her German shepherd and someone pulled over and said, take
my car. You know, don't you have to carry your dog.
I'll come get my car later. So people are paying
for others fast food lines and it targets. We've got
the Dream Center La, so many volunteers. So just thank
(29:07):
you so much. I'm here to help you. We also
want to help Gina, she wrote to us. It's your
letter to Ellen and Gina's ex husband of ten years,
who they share a child with a fourteen year old girl,
likes to skip out on child support and sometimes she
lets them slide. They never went to a court arbitration
or anything like that, but they've gotten along so far.
(29:31):
Now he's a new girlfriend and he's sliding on payments.
And she's noticing he's going on these fantastic weekend trips Tahoe, Vegas.
Let's go to Orange. Diane, you heard the letter and
you have some knowledge, so.
Speaker 12 (29:47):
A couple things. You're absolutely right. If she doesn't have
a court order, then it's hard to enforce. But every
county has a department of Child Support Services and they
will assist people with either obtaining a court order or
enforcing an existing court order that they have, and it's
(30:08):
free of charge. It's a county agency.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Okay. So does it matter how long they've been divorced.
Speaker 10 (30:16):
No, Okay, it does not.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Gina said, ten years they've been divorced and they have
a fourteen year old and she's let him slide because
they never involve lawyers or courts or anything.
Speaker 12 (30:27):
Okay, Then she probably doesn't have a court order, so
she's pretty much lost out on those ten years of
child support. But they can help her establish an order
now and they can enforce it for her so she
doesn't have to deal with him.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
That is a good solution because he is partying it up.
Speaker 12 (30:47):
Yes, yeah, so we need to we need to put
the kebash on that and get that fourteen year old
child the money she deserves.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Absolutely, Diane, thank you. Do you work at a court system?
Speaker 12 (30:58):
I did?
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Okay, all right, thanks for your thanks for your tips.
Speaker 12 (31:02):
If every county has the Department of Child Support Services,
it's free to off citizens.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Okay, great, Thank you so much for that information, Diane.
So Gina shared with us off the air, and we
can't put these pictures up anywhere, but a picture of
her ex husband with his new girlfriend skiing in Tahoe.
I mean that's expensive, just a lift pass alone, and
then you got to stay there, and then they stayed
(31:31):
at the wind in Vegas instead of the child support. So, Diane,
that's great information. Let's get let's get Gina her cash,
and let's get you your cash. One thousand dollars. We
want to give back, so we're doing it one thousand
dollars to help yourself or someone in need. It's coming up.
Thank you, zenhi sushi. Stay here twenty after is what's
(31:53):
going to happen.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
It's the L and K Morning Show. I wake up
to your station, I work out to your station.
Speaker 9 (32:00):
I listened to it throughout the day, and I go
to bed listening to it.
Speaker 3 (32:03):

Speaker 1 (32:17):

We had a we were near the West Hills evacuation,
but that we were good.
Speaker 1 (32:33):

Speaker 8 (32:35):
In the middle of it, we got Yes, I'm black,
you're dude. You guys make me cry every day.
Speaker 1 (32:44):

Speaker 2 (32:47):

Use it for yourself to help someone else whatever you like.
Speaker 8 (33:21):

Speaker 12 (33:41):
You make my day, you make my morning, and I
love you all.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Coast one oh three point.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Five And your letters to Ellen, we read them. That
one from Gina, her ex of ten years who they
share a fourteen year old daughter with U likes to
skip out on child support when possible, and she's been
letting it slide. There's court agreement, but now he has
a new girlfriend and Gina is watching their socials, seeing
(34:06):
them live it up, spending money, going fun places, and uh,
let's go to Leilani. So you heard our letter. Gene
upset seeing her ex live it up.
Speaker 6 (34:21):
Which is understandable. Is I would sit and talk with
them and say we can come over the understanding and
if not, then I would say, since we can't come
to an agreement together, then it's time to go to
court and get it in paper.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Yeah, I want that Vegas money for your for your daughter,
by the way.
Speaker 6 (34:46):
Exactly, it's for the kids.
Speaker 11 (34:48):
I always do anything for my kids, that's right.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
All right. So Gina's gonna have to have a big discussion.
And also why is he posting on social media?
Speaker 2 (34:59):
Dummy the wind more.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
If you need a friend.
Speaker 12 (35:06):
Solo to a strange you know.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
In the end, Filo.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
This is Jeremy Renner, This is Kate Hudson, This is
Joe Coy and I'm chilling my whole girl. Ellen K
Morning Show, Ellen K Morning Show on Coast one three
point five.
Speaker 14 (35:26):
I love you, Sola Jeli.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Top Stories, Top of the hour, Good morning, I'm ellen
Ka And the latest on the fire containment Eaten fire
so for forty five percent contained, Palisades Fire nineteen percent contained.
More than twenty two thousand. First responders continuing to fight
our two main fires. Fire Chief Christian Crowley says they
are ready and she gives us the latest.
Speaker 15 (35:48):
As we enter into the third day of this additional
wind event, I urge everyone to stay alert. The combination
of low humidity and strong winds has further out the brush,
increasing the risk of fire.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
All right, And as the clock ticks down on a
US ban on TikTok, a growing number of social media
users are flocking to another China based app called Red Note.
The app surged in the top position in Apple's app store.
Just yesterday mid talk that TikTok could potentially go offline
in the US this week, a lot of users have
said they joined Red Note as an active defiance, and
(36:25):
within two days more than seven hundred thousand new users
have joined red notes. So Jerry still out on that.
We don't know what's going to happen. Okay, our red
flag warning remaining in place till six pm possible. Guess
up to fifty miles per hour. We're going to go
up to around seventy most everywhere, and right now it
is fifty in Burbank. We run on Celsi's Energy drinks.
(36:48):
It's KOST, Los Angeles, Coast one of three point five.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Wake up with ELLENK.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Hi, this is Tiffany Hattison.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
You're listening to the llenk Morning Show. Coast one oh three,
She lady, it is Coast one of three point five,
Sabrina Carpenter. And we said, you know, hey, she went
a date with Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers, and well
they got a hold of us. It's not true. Oh
(37:17):
it isn't She's not dating Oh anyway, so maybe they
just said there they're fun Sabrina single and here she
is on Coast nice.
Speaker 5 (37:27):

Speaker 8 (37:29):
See like so so you can seems so little dull.
Speaker 1 (37:39):

Speaker 4 (37:55):
And I got this by the llen K Morning Show
Coast one oh three point by our.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Post one o three point five. We are iHeartRadio. We
are here for you. We want to help you out.
If you have a gofund me and if you have
lost everything, we're here to help. I was scrolling online
and I come across this picture of this family and
(38:22):
I look again and it's my friend Monique and her
three daughters. And it was about the loss of their
home in Palisades, the Palisades fire and Monique working nearby,
seeing the smoke, and she joins us now and we're
all getting those alerts. But as others were leaving, Monique,
(38:43):
you were headed into the smoke and flames to save
your dogs. And we don't want to traumatize you to
relive it again, but take us through what happened.
Speaker 10 (38:54):
It was just it was insane. And each moment that
I was driving, every little bit that I went, you
could see clouds of smoke just pouring in like it
was just it was getting closer and closer, and that's
when I realized, Wow, this is this is this is
not good. This is really bad. So when I got
to the bottom of Sunset, that's when it had gotten
(39:16):
really bad. The entire side of the mountain was on
fire and it was within, you know, a few feet
of me at that point.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
And were you told to turn around?
Speaker 10 (39:25):
I was told to get out of my vehicle.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (39:28):
There was the officer at the bottom. He was stopping
everybody and he was like, get out, get out, run
because it had come so close that it was getting
towards the street and everybody was. It was just complete chaos.
I felt like I was in like a movie, you
know when you see those movies that people just running
(39:48):
and panic, and this fire or an earthquake or a
natural disaster, that's literally what it was. There were people
pushing wheelchairs down Sunset and then I attempted to go
up my street. I walked up and it was just
there was so much smoke, but I was I had
a pair of leggings that I wrapped around my mouth,
and I just attempted to go up my street and
(40:10):
my ex is the father and my children called me.
He was facetiming me and he's like, what are you doing.
I'm like, I'm going up to get the animals, and
he was just like, you can't. You're gonna, you know,
you might not come down alive. He's like, the kids,
what are you doing? And I just literally I.
Speaker 12 (40:23):
Just at that point, I just.
Speaker 10 (40:26):
My poor animals. I felt so bad for my animals.
I just I just felt like if I didn't try,
you know that I would never see them again.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
Yeah, you did all you could.
Speaker 10 (40:39):
I wish I would have told my neighbor to grab them.
I wish I would have had her, But I didn't think.
I had no idea that the fires were going to
move in. At the rate that they did and the
speed that they did, it just it was just it
happened so quickly.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
I want you to tell us the story of what
happened to you at Target. We know that through friends
you haven't played to stay. You're finally sleeping, but you
had to go to Target for some essentials, and I
loved what you told me about it.
Speaker 10 (41:08):
Yeah, so I stopped by Target to get a few things,
and my girlfriend who has been calling me, who I
hadn't spoken with. I was on the phone with her
and I was just kind of giving her, like you know,
she was asking me I was doing, and just kind
of giving her an update on everything. And so I
got to the cash register to pay for my for
my items and this woman comes up to me and
(41:29):
she says, I'm so sorry. I don't mean a pride,
but I heard your conversation and I want to take
care of this for you. And she gave the cashier
her card and I was just so shocked. I mean
I had I didn't even see her near me when
I was shopping, but she was just like I heard you,
I heard you talking. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Let me let me help you. And she paid. I
(41:50):
mean I think I had a few bags. It was
like one hundred dollars, but she insisted on paying for
for my items and she said, welcome to Miracle Mile.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Oh. The heart and the outpouring of help has just
it's really it's really unifying everyone. And Monique, we are
praying for you. We're so happy that you're okay, and
we're going to come back stronger than ever. We've got
your gofund me. We're going to post that up on
our socials and just take care of yourself and your daughters,
(42:20):
and we know that life will get better.
Speaker 10 (42:23):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
Ellen, it's the llen k Morning Show. Hi, it's Christina
from Downey.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
Ellen.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
We love you guys.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
We listened to you every single day post one oh
three point five and our.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Hearts go out to all who have lost so much.
And two hundred JPL workers have lost their homes in
the Alta Dina fire. The fire chief in Altadena lost
his home to the fire in Alta Dina. So just
we keep hearing these stories. We are happy to put
your gofund me up on our socials and get the
(43:00):
word out. So reach us any way you can. You
can call us, you can go to the iHeartRadio app
and leave a talk back. You can email us, but
get a hold of us. We're here to help this morning.
In all of this, let's go to Elon Musk and
Starlink so carrying twenty one satellites. It was a SpaceX
launch and that was a big deal because it was
(43:21):
two moon missions on one rocket, and so along with
all the satellite that they put up there, they also
have the Blue Ghost, which is a lunar land there
and that's from Texas. And then another rocket from a
Japanese company called Hakuto. And so I'm obsessed with rocket
launches for years.
Speaker 5 (43:42):
You have, you know, sort of low key presented yourself
as someone who could maybe do a countdown.
Speaker 1 (43:48):
Yeah, I mean that would be that's your dream to.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
Voice the countdown. And I think you'd bring a lot
of fun to it.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
Well, I don't know if it's a fun How was
it not fun? I just think it's well, it would
be fun for me, But I think that it's a
serious you know, it's a serious thing. And I don't
know who does it. But you didn't sound very excited
this morning.
Speaker 14 (44:06):
Three two one and your ignition and lift off with
the Falcon nine rocket on the Starlink twelve dashed for
mission Falcon nine has cleared the tower.
Speaker 5 (44:20):
I'm going to disagree with you, and I think we
need to we need to re visit, revamp it like this.
You can just put a six hundred ton rocket in
the air. Let's liven the soup, clapping the DJ.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
I'm not doing it right now. The thing is off.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
It's the L and K Morning show.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
This is Caesar from Los Angeles and I'm listening to
Ellen K every day.
Speaker 3 (44:48):
Coast one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
We are the L and K Morning Show. It's Coast
one of three point five. As we go live to
our phones. Now to Eva. All right, Eva, you heard
us talking about go fund me and how we want
to help anyone who needs it, and you're in need.
What's going on?
Speaker 13 (45:08):
So we have two people. I work for a wildlife
rescue and we have two people that have been affected
by the fires that help with the animals. I was
just trying to spread some awareness.
Speaker 10 (45:17):
That was it.
Speaker 1 (45:18):
Yes, no, please tell us.
Speaker 13 (45:21):
I help with animals wherever I can. I'm an artist,
and I met Zoo Corner Rabbit, which is a sanctuary
run by a lady named Kat, and Kat lives in Pasadena, Alta, Dina,
and she runs the Zoo Corner Rabbit for senior and
disabled rabbits out of her house. They had to evacuate
and unfortunately lost their house. We've been run I don't
(45:44):
run her personal GoFundMe. She's had another fund run that
one for her. I'm running one on my own Instagram
for her. And now I've been dedicating my time to
the Wild Fosser program and she her parents lost their
house and their elderly. Between the director of our program
to the woman who runs the Funny Sanctuary, it's just
(46:06):
been really rough and I'm helping rescue with the raccoons,
the opossums, all of that, and then we're going to
be getting in burn Burn victim animals probably over the
next week. But our director is dealing with repairing to
just lost their home. So we have two go fundmes
happening at the same time. They absolutely can't call you, guys.
(46:26):
I just happen to be in my car today and
heard that I'm getting nothing from this. I don't want
any money. I'm not asking for anything. We're just running
their go.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
Fund what's your instagram?
Speaker 13 (46:37):
My well, my instagram is Critoriosity. It's a c R
I E T E R O s I T Y.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
Thank you so much. We are going to put it
out there. We want to help save you know.
Speaker 13 (46:52):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 11 (46:54):
God bless you guys.
Speaker 13 (46:55):
