believe it. Here we are together again.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
It feels so good. I really, I you know, I
wanted to come over there, but I didn't have anything
to wear.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
That's a lie.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I've seen your closet, Ellen, Seriously, I am just I
am so honored. But uh, you know, what a what
a wonderful, wonderful ride you've had with that starting to
Walk of fame and everything else.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Unbelievable, Rick, nothing like nothing like you've had. And you've
taught me everything.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Hey, listen, Ellen, on a personal note, and again, I
hope this is okay to say I love your son
in Calvin.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Oh, thank you. I love your son too.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
He was just he's just still a little boy. But
I gotta tell you I remember his first words. I'm
not kidding. This is not a joke. We were all
on a wonderful broadcast in Maui and and somebody was
drinking and and not drinking alcohol, drinking awa. And that's
what he said. He said, ahwa a water ahwa. And
(01:16):
I said, that's my man. And I looked at him
and he's just barely like two years, not even one.
Two yeah, oh of that, plus a he was a
two year old bilingual.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Well he is my buddy. I love you so much.
Rick D's Welcome to the iHeartRadio app. We're so happy
that we're back together again.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Oh I know this is going to be so much fun.
You can go back and catch countdowns with Ellen and
me from years gone by, relived the great hits of
your life, plus today we still do today. And so
it's this.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Win win, it's a total win win, and it's about time.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Absolutely and I sotound the scene, don't I.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
You do know you absolutely do? And everywhere I go
and Ryan and Mike can attest to this. Everywhere I go,
everyone always asks me to say hi to Richty's.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Oh are you kidding?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
People come up to me in tears. They're like, I
miss him on the radio so bad every morning when
you guys were together.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Well here's the good news. And let me just tell
your seven listeners that the good news is of all
the people with whom I have ever worked, and there's
been so many, Ellen K is the best listener. Ellen K,
if you're telling a joke, will never step in on
your punchline, and of course that's your cue to go
and stop ring. But you are the best listener I
(02:47):
ever saw, and your listeners love you for it.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Well, now stop Rick, because we have to do this
an inter of you joining the iHeartRadio Apple Family. More
with mister Disco Duck coming up next time process and
(03:18):
welcome to the iHeartRadio app Mister Disco Duck himself my friend,
and we are back with.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Rick D's could you excuse me just one second? Yeah, yeah, sure,
Coming up next Taylor Swift. Okay, now I'm back.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
He's in the middle of it right now. But seriously,
do you dream like do you dream in countdown?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
You know, this is a really interesting thing. Radio is interesting.
So I've been fired a few times and so my
recurring dream, and I'm not going to have a joke
with this, is the door to the control room is
locked and I can't get in and the song is
running out. And then then what happens after that when
(04:05):
the song runs out and there's nothing on, they call
that in radio dead air, and it just that's like, oh,
you can't have dead air. That's the beginning of your
career and the end of your career. So that's my
recurring dream. But finally, now the door has been opened
and I can say coming up next, Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
And I'm so proud of Kevin. Is he still going
to the freezer?
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Kevin D's is the number one real estate broker in
I say the nation. He just sold the Bob Hope estate,
you know, for twenty six millions. He just sold an
eleven million dollar home in Beverly Hills. And it's gotten
to the point with Kevin where if of one hundred
dollars bill blows out of his pocket, he doesn't even
been down to pick it out. Gotta love that he
(04:56):
just looks it. Wow way, he doesn't want to risk
hurting his back. It's terrible. I got to tell you
what happened. Though. Allen has gotten so good. She has
the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She's the voiceover of some
many in international commercials. But when she first got here,
she was come from another show and we went out.
(05:17):
We were having the interview for the job. Now picture
this with a really nice Beverly Hills restaurant, and so
she summons the waiter over and I'm wondering what's going on?
And Ellen said, waiter, my soup is cold, and he
said it's gaspacho. She said, oh, oh, oh, oh, gaspacho,
my soup is cold.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Uninitiated, she was yeah, well, Rick, We're so happy to
have you as part of the iHeart family. All of
your shows, the countdowns on the app right now, it's
just great.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
So you go to the iHeart app type and ridi's
ric a dees or Weekly Top forty or whatever, and
there we are, and then of course all the updates.
It is today's show, it shows from years gone by.
You guys are the best. Thank you so much for
having me.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Thank you for coming on with us. Next time in person. Okay,
we're gonna have to come over there and get you.
We're literally twenty from you.
