Good Morning of ellen k Three of the five nine
eleven terrorist conspirators that reached a plea deal twenty three
years after the attack, alleged mastermind of September eleventh, Khalid
Sheikh Muhammad, and two agreed to plead guilty as part

(00:22):
of the plea deal. The guilty plea allows them a
life sentence rather than a death penalty trial at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The men have been in the US in custody since
twenty or two thousand and three, and it's ninety six
days until we is a nation elect a new president,
Donald Trump Kamala Harris. Things are certainly heating up. The
ex president is grabbing headlines this morning over this remark.

(00:43):
I didn't know she was black until a number of
years ago when she happened to turn black, and now
she wants to be known as black, So I don't
know is she Indian or.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Is she black?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I respect either one, but she obviously doesn't. The White
House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre was later read those
comments and responded with this, what you.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Just read out to me is impulsive, it's insulting.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Stay tuned more on this and let's talk Olympics. Yesterday,
all the medals won for the US were by women.
US womer Katie Ldeki won a gold medal and in
the process setting new Olympic record. She now owns the
nineteen fastest times ever recorded in the fifteen hundred meter free.
This was Katie's eighth gold medal. Men's USA basketball knocked
off South sud Dan and Lebron James became the third

(01:27):
player in Olympic history to record three hundred points. Nice
job everyone. Overall, Team USA leading the medal count with

Athletes are going insane over the chocolate muffins at the

(02:22):
Olympic Village and the croissant crawls that you know, all
of the reporters have the pleasure of doing. To show
us these yummy buttery croissants in Paris goes way beyond
the athleticism to the food and the fuel. Really, did
you see some of the triathletes getting out of the
Sun River area yesterday? No, they said that, okay, here's

(02:43):
the report, we'll do this early and not again. I
think they said they saw and felt things in the room.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, scary.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Hopefully it was just fish.

Speaker 1 (03:01):

he wants to unify the world. He's doing a great job.

Speaker 7 (03:12):
I don't know what job he's earning with this, but
he's earning something. I mean he's gonna be he's I
don't know what it is.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Well, you know he's on the voice, so he's got
that with NBC and now everyone's calling him America's official mascot,
like I.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Could see him doing the news with David Muir at
this point. He's really he's always said he's our dog father. Yeah,
he's winning everyone over.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Got a new album too. Yeah, I mean there's nothing
he can't do. We're loving him, so are our little ones.
And this little girl is five years old. Watching the
strength of the female athletes. By the way, all medals
won by women yesterday here for the USA is much straw.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, I also have stroud.

Speaker 1 (03:57):

as judge, joining Luke Bryan and Lano Ritchie at the

year Idol Champion, the biggest star to be launch from
the show. She's won eight Grammys and more than two
dozen Country music awards. All Right. This weekend, Adele kicks
off a ten night residency in Germany Live Nation Military

(04:45):
personalized arena on the Munich Fairgrounds for one hundred and
thirty million dollars. It's temporary. It's a mega stadium with
a Godzilla sized led screen and it was specifically designed
for Adele, so think English pub experience. She's also working
not like crazy, because she's going to do these ten
nights and then afterward the entire stadium will be dismantled

(05:07):
and recycled. It's all eco friendly. Eighty percent of all
the million people who will see this ten night residency
will go in by train, so pretty good design. All right,

It's so weird. I'm like, oh, okay, let me tell
you what I'm doing.

Speaker 9 (07:03):
All right.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
So I have a friend who is a professional race
car driver. Her name is Catherine Legg. She is amazing.
She's been racing since the age of nine. She was
in the Indy five hundred, and she's just she's a
personal hero of mine and a friend. And so she
shared this with me because what she eats to fuel
her body is everything. And so she's getting ready for

(07:25):
some big races, f ones, indie cars, all this stuff.
She's got to be in really good shape. But she's
not getting enough vitamins or fiber in her diet and
there's only so many protein shakes you can drink. Right,
So she did this and shared it with me and said,
you got to try it. Get a Kiwi fruit anywhere

(07:46):
at the grocery store, right, they have gold or green,
it doesn't matter. Huwis are full of vitamin C and
vitamin K. They're really good for you overall metabolism, everything.
Just wash it, dry it, and then you just buy
a huh oh, oh my god. You eat it with
the peel and it's not even Harry fur.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
It's not Harry. I'm just looking at the hair, but you.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Don't even taste it is the is the peel like rough?
It feels rough when I cut it. It's a little furry,
but you bite right through it. It tastes like think of
like an apricutter.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Can you toss it over here?

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Wait? No, not yet. I'm not done, but i will next.

Here's Chairman Jerome Powell.

Speaker 13 (08:36):
Gross remains let's say, uh, reasonably strong, and the labor
market remains, you know, consistent with its current condition, then
I would think that at a a rate cut could
be on the table at the September meeting.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
It's socker market surging yesterday with that welcome news sounds
like they'll revisit next month. Like you said, Tonga, Barbados, Montenegro.
What do they have in common? They all want one metal.
So are in the Olympics smaller nations And here in Paris,
US swimmer Katie Thedecki won that gold medal and a
sud new Olympic record. Overall, Team USA leads the metal
count with thirty one. And what about this? And tech

(09:12):
news is being reported that Apple's new iOS eighteen update,
we'll have an AI powered feature that let us record
and transcribe phone calls. The other person will know that
you are recording. And a buttload of wine. Who knew
wine and butts were connected? A butt is a real
unit of measurement. For a cask of wine, A butt
load is about one hundred and eight imperial gallon. So

(09:33):
if someone says they have a buttload of wine, believe them.
And the first NFL preseason game is tonight ABCESPN. It's
the Texans and the Bears. And we're hearing that the
NFL will include a segment where AI will predict the

things and doing all of that kind of management stuff.
But it's also kind of a get to know you
activities and things like that. But we'll definitely be talking

she would be awesome.

Speaker 7 (11:39):
Have you guys been keeping up with her beef with
her former teammate, No, that I have not. Mikayla Skinner
Mikayla blocked Simone on Instagram because I guess earlier, before
the the you know game started, she said that this
team was lazy.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
So then when Simone won the goal, she posted lazy
with their picture of the goal. Another beaton.

Speaker 9 (12:03):
Well, that's that's how that's how it goes sometimes.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Oh boy, do you have a lot of drama with
your students sometimes?

Speaker 7 (12:11):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (12:11):
Absolutely, sixth grade is real real.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Oh yeah, everybody's body and hormones are changing. And raging.

stategy in place to kind of try to manage those things,
counselors and all of that.

Betty Inez and newborn Oland. He said, just think about, well,

Speaker 9 (15:12):
Money, food?

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Okay, when you don't like to share, you are a
one person person. It's a great guess. Yes, it is
not the right answer. I'm so sorry. I'm sure you
love love, love of massage you or facial but try again.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
Oh okay, thank you, thank you?

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Hi there, Jose, Hi there, hey Jose. He says, you're
here in Ontario and you called in sick today. What's wrong?

Speaker 9 (15:41):
I don't know. I kind of feel like I get
some kind of cold or something.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
I don't know. Yeah, it feels weird in the summertime.
But it is a thing and it's going around. So
we help you feel better soon.

Speaker 4 (15:52):

Speaker 7 (16:00):

take it easy.

Yep.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
But just listening to you guys all day good.

I would get you're just emotionally unavailable.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
I mean, you know, I think that's a pretty big side.

Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah, you just don't want to, you know, get emotional
with anything about anyone, anyone about anything. It's a great guess.
It's not the right answer.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Hey, Karen, how's Buena Park this morning?

Speaker 1 (16:43):
This all fun things in Buena Park.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
It is well.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
So we're talking about commitment. Are you in a committed relationship.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Currently.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
No, so you're not.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
In a relationship, but you hesitated.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
Well, because I just got out of one has a
lack of trust.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Oh okay, oh no, how long was this relationship?

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Two years?

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Two years? I'm so sorry. Well, so, what is the
top sign you're not ready to commit?

Speaker 5 (17:13):
I don't trust anybody now, I'm sorry. Oh that's okay,
it was sooner passed.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yeah, so this was a non trustworthy person that now
makes you not trust correct. Well, here's the thing. Try
to put it in the past, because when a new
person comes along, they don't have anything to do with it.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
That's a great point.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
It's not their fault. Just remember that. Yes, yeah, well
we're so sorry.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
Oh thanks. Well I was married for almost twenty nine
years when I lost my husband, so I know what
a good relationship is and to trust somebody with my heart.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Okay, good, good, you got the good two good base. Yeah,
you also got the good prize. It's a two hundred
fifty dollars Broke Williams about give card. It is not
trusting anyone. That's a top sign you're not ready to commit.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Karen, you one, thank you so much. That's awesome. I
could use that for sure, for.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Sure, for sure, Brooke Williams spot gift card.

Speaker 9 (18:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
The top sign you are not ready to commit is
that you have huge trust issues. So that's the thing
to work on with The on K Morning Show. It's
your own KQ and I always proven and posted scientifically.

Speaker 12 (18:30):
The ellen K Morning Show on cost one oh three
point five.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Top Stories, Top of the Hour, Good Morning of Ellen
K and a group of US senators introducing a measure
called the No Fakes Act, which would prohibit the creation
of digital recreations of a person's voice or likeness without
that individual's consent. It passed into law, The legislation would
make it possible for individuals to pursue damages if their voice, face,
or body were recreated by AI. One of the senators said,

(18:57):
everyone deserves the right to own and protect their voice
and likeness, no matter if your Taylor Swift or anyone else.
And the NFL will test Hawkeye technology this preseason in
hopes of eventually replacing first down chain measurements. It's not
a Jeremy Renner character. It's actually technology developed by Sony
designed to measure whether or not an offense has successfully

(19:17):
converted a first down. If it worked and it's reliable,
we could see it being used during the regular season
and during the playoffs as early as next year. And
about a week ago, communities in northern California were dealing
with dangerous and disruptive huge wildfires, and during the disaster,
of family had to make the heartbreaking choice of leaving
their home without their Rottweiler dogs. The family was safe,
but first responders could not access the area where the

(19:40):
rottweilers were due to the fire. News of the stranded
dogs reached a guy named Trevor, a member of the
Butke County Sheriff' Search and Rescue Team. Trevor is an
expert HELLI pilot, and he put those skills to use
when he returned to the virus sone firestone to a
rescue those rottweilers right there. He landed safely in that
zone and ran more than a mile to find the

(20:01):
dogs in a pickup truck just where they were reported
to be. He got them back all safe. It was
a mother and four puppies. I feel good and times
keep on climbing as we welcome August Heights today around
ninety five were on a steady rise the weekend. We're
triple digits on the way Irwindale, ninety five Irvine, you'll
see ninety today and it's seventy and Burbank. We run

(20:21):
on Celsia's Energy Drinks Kost Los Angeles. It's Coast one
oh three point five and let's go to Vegas. Coming up,
We're going to send you to our iHeartRadio Music Festival
for the entire weekend. Keep it here to win It.

Speaker 12 (20:34):
The Llen k Morning Show on Coast one oh three
point five.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
It is therapy Thursday. Sarah dashin studio with us are
licensed therapist and friend. Sarah. Thank you for helping so
many people all over Southland.

Speaker 11 (20:45):
My pleasure, So happy to be here.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Well, we have Karen on the line right now. Karen,
Meet Sarah Sarah.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Karen, Hey, Karen, good morning.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
What's going on?

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Mary?

Speaker 10 (20:56):
So?

Speaker 4 (20:57):
I have a fourteen year old nephew that lives with
us full time. I have two grown daughters. I thought
I knew what I was doing as far as parenting,
but parenting a boy is a very different situation. Just
they're just built different, right, and so we've had some
problems with him that I think are maybe beyond fourteen,

(21:17):
maybe beyond puberty, and he's just he's just becoming a
really tough kid. And I'm starting to ask myself, is
this teenage behavior or is it like narcissism? Right, it's
just that fine.

Speaker 11 (21:30):
Line when you say tough kid, tell me what that
looks like.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
He does not accept responsibility. He plays this blame exceptionally quickly,
every like just things that are just off with him.
So my conundrum at this point comes to, I really
think he would do well at sleep away camp. He's
done it in the past, he loves it. But am

(21:56):
I rewarding bad behavior as much as my husband? And
I would really like a break, Like.

Speaker 11 (22:03):
What are you hoping will happen as a result of
the summer camp? Apart from just giving you and your
partner a little bit, a little bit of a break,
you know, from a tense situation.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
That's the main piece of it, is to just give
us all a little bit of space. Apart, I would
love for him to come home a little more responsible,
a little more appreciative, a little more understanding that he's
got a pretty good gig here.

headaches and angst. He's fourteen, he's squrely. She says, no

should she send him to camp or kill him with kindness?
What do you do? Laura? Thank you for way, and
then what do you say?

You know what?

Speaker 10 (26:02):
So, I don't think it's a bad idea to send him.
Maybe something good will come out of it for him.
So maybe he'll come back with more of a positive
attitude or just be happy about things, and maybe he'll
help with what's going on between his parents and him.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Yeah, maybe the missing, you know, missing home or missing
the love and then being around others your own age,
maybe that'll kind of set him straight.

Speaker 10 (26:31):
So, and he's got to appreciate his parents. You know,
we don't have them the rest of our lives, so
we got to take care of them.

but I found one that was just kind of about life.

It's simple, Okay, train hard, train, hard, train hard. I
guess it kind of goes with all walks of life
