Speaker 1 (00:00):
Political analys s. David grasshow joints just now to talk
about what's going on with Iran and Israel, but more specifically,
what about these allies of Iran, Russia and China here, David,
welcome in, thanks for being here.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yeah, the horror show that our other allies, let's get
into it.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
I mean, unbelievable. We got the great director of this
incredible symphony of Donald Trump handling the business here and
making a direct, precise, well calculated, very smart attack on
their nuclear program. There has to put together a ceasefire
that you knows up in arms a little bit this morning.
But I think all in all, at the end of
the day, it's you know, he's brought this twelve day

(00:36):
war to a conclusion here and now you got Russia going, okay, well,
if you're going to do that, we'll just send them
the you know, the nuclear weapons, stay out of this.
What do you do and try to upset the rest
of the world here? I mean, so, is this I
mean something now that the Kremlin has learned about with
Trump's success in all of this, something they're still going
to want to push And more importantly, is it still

(00:59):
something that I ran and that regime still wants to
flirt with.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
You know, this is Dmitri Mediev If you remember him
from the hot mic from Obama in twenty twelve, he
was the you know president to that Putin, put In
when he had term limits, when he was pretending he
wasn't a dictator, remember him the shortcut. Yes, well, yeah,
he's back with this crazy comments, which basically are a
non starter, you know, because of nuclear non proliferation treaties,

(01:24):
because of the logistics of transferring a nuclear bomb. You know,
it's not going to happen. They're just you know, trying
to be aggressive in a time where they're looking very weak.
They have issues domestically, of course, the ongoing Ukraine War,
which has made him look like crap. And now you
know their ally in Iran falling because of these strategic
attacks by Israel and the United States. Now that said,

(01:46):
it does lay bare that Iran is a client state
of Russia and China as well as they support terror
all around the Middle East to power all of these
proxies like Hamas has Blah, the hoopies which you always
reading the news and you think, my, oh my, these
people cause a lot of problems. Who's behind them. Oh, wait,
here they are. It's Iran. So you know, I think

(02:08):
this has been a masterclass and what is possible to
stop this? We've been kicking the can down the road
with Iran for a really long time, and hopefully, from
your mouth to God's earth, this is over. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I hope so, because if they're going to settle down
and this is the whole thing is going to be
done and over with and they've decided to cooperate, great news.
But on the other hand, do we really trust Iran
even though this whole thing has been you know, put
to bed, so to speak, and the plan is to
cool it and calm down and let's not get crazy.

(02:38):
Do we still trust Irene?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
No, We're We're never going to be able to. But
this is where we have to walk a fine line,
and this is where we have to depart the station
of you know, what makes sense to what is politically possible.
If you look at the polling, the last ploy looked
at eighty four percent of Americans don't want a more war,
So they don't want a sustained war with Iran. Can

(03:01):
you remember the last time eighty four percent of us
agreed on anything? I don't think we can agree on
whether chicken or fish should be served at a wedding
at that level. So you know, it's one of these
things that, yeah, I agree, I agree with everything you're saying.
You know, I'm not a super Trump guy. I'm not
a very anti Trump guy. That puts me in a
very unique place in this country. But I think in

(03:22):
this specific instance, this was a masterclass. I think you're
absolutely correct. But a sustained war there's no political capital
for that.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yeah, one hundred percent agree with that. And there has
been some pretty good, you know, folks that have responded,
just like you mentioned there, that are on the democratic
side of things, that say, hey, look, you know, this
is a good move here. John Fetterman said, as long
as I've maintained this was the correct move by the
President of the United States, so iran as the world's
leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities. But

(03:53):
then on the other end you got Alexandria Cassio Cortez
over they're slamming Trump over these strikes, arguing they bypassed
congre I mean, I bet they woke up the other
day and said, wait a minute, what do you mean
we have a peace deal. They didn't come to Congress
to find out if we wanted to have that or not.
It's like they just want to find something to you know,
whine about with this president, even though this is one

(04:13):
of the biggest, biggest moves you know, we've seen in
a long time.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah, aoc, remember what she does. And on all fairness,
we have Marjorie Taylor Green on the right. You know,
these are people who mostly governed by social media. They
don't do anything real, and they're both problems for their
own parties. So yeah, she wants to impeach Trump for
bombing around. Like, give me a break, girl, Like, now,

(04:39):
this is actually something that we've been talking about for years.
It makes all of us nervous. Of course, it does
bring on, you know, fears of World War three, But
in the end, it looks like it went fined and
we stopped kicking the can down the road. Remember when
the late John McCain used to say, bomb Aran, Bombaran.
This this is what he was talking about. And look

(05:01):
how long it took to get him.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah yeah, bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran. Yeah, I
get it all right, buddy, David, thank you so much
for checking and I appreciate. At seven forty nine, now
Alabama's Morning News, here's John Fetterman, Democrat from Pennsylvania, who
gets it.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
We all know what.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
That's not going anywhere. And you know he's been in
peach twice and now he's still our president as well
now too, So it's not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
And I don't think that's helpful.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
And I think if you throw that term around, that
actually diminishes what the severity of what impeachment is really
reserved for.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah, that's the senator speaking about Alexandria Cassio Cortez, who
is now calling for the impeachment of President Trump because
of what he has done. How pass awkwards? Can you
possibly be AOC You're impeaching him for settling down nuclear
potential from a nation that's full of terrors. Okay, I

(05:57):
get it. You want him to just thrive and keep
moving here
