Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ron Neale joins us now Roy, welcome in. Happy Monday too.
You've been a good weekend, very nice, how about you.
Fantastic fantastic so over the weekend though, a number of things.
Incredible weather here too. Marjorie Taylor Green, she was on
CNN over the weekend and I guess apologize for some
of her toxic behavior. Here's a little clip. Listen.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking
part in the toxic politics. It's very bad for our country.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, she was all about calling out Donald Trump on
the Epstein Files, and she didn't like some of his
I guess foreign policy things. But they used to be
buds joined at the hip, moving in the right direction.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, and that's what's so remarkable.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Look, there's a lot of speculation that Green is trying
to move more to the middle to make herself more attractive,
perhaps for future office that may be vice presidential slot
somewhere got some of the talk out there. But look,
it was this Epstein file issue that really was the
straw that broke the camel's back.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
But now it.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Sounds like President Trump is reversing course and is encouraging
Republicans in the House to vote for this that would
tell the Justice Department to release everything. The president essentially
seeing he's going to lose and changing teams.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Wait time on, now you're telling me Trump has changed
course and he's pushing for the Republicans to vote to
release these files.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Exactly. Yeah, that was what the message we got last night.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
So he says, there's nothing to see here, there's no
shame in releasing these, so go ahead and vote for it.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Hell I love it. I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
My Democratic friends were all over me all weekend with
text me to say, oh, yeah, how's your boy now?
Huh know, he wants to hide everything. All of a sudden,
here it comes. How do you like Trump?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Now? So?
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, I think they ought to be released as well.
So does Marjorie Taylor Green save any face? I mean,
she's be getting some serious death threads for turning on Trump.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah she has.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
And you know, let's see how far it goes if
it's just about the Epstein issue, you know, even on
the Florida fair stuff.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
She just says the.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
President should spend more time focusing on the US. You know,
he was in Asia and the Middle East and making
trips overseas and things like that was as she put it,
she said, Air Force one should be parked and he
should be here all the time focusing on Americans agenda.
So it's not really a big divide on most policy issues,
but this Epstein issue clearly was front and center.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Well, now that Donald Trump changed course on this and
is pushing for the Republicans to come back and you know,
go ahead and vote this now that they've got that
one person sworn in and they can have the vote,
I think they should be released as well. We've talked
about this numerous times. But as far as the front
policy goes, anything he's doing globally ultimately is for the
benefit of the United States. So Marjorie Taylor Green, when
(02:45):
you're elected president, then you can decide what part of
the world you want to go visit.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
All down girl. Did you see his nickname for her? No,
I missed that. This has got to be margor Marge. Well,
he had two. One of them I didn't like. The
one I didn't like.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Is Marjorie Taylor Brown because she turns everything brown as
death with it.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
But Marjorie Trader Green that was my favorite.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Oh, there's a good one. Yeah, it's got a little
ring to it all right. Also, what's going on now
with the hemp industry? Apparently now it's in trouble and
what do you mean.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Well, what happened last week when they passed that bill
to reopen the government.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
They included it.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
A provision that says, essentially, it makes illegal most gummies
and vapes and drinks with THHC.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Now that's not going to take effect.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
For a year, but this has become a thirty billion
dollar industry out there with the gummies and the vapes
and the drinks. But now they will be outlawed essentially,
and then three hundred thousand jobs could go along with it. Now,
this got tacked onto that spending bill in order to
reopen the government, so it sort of went through and
everyone held their nose. Let's see if they can change
(03:55):
it at least these provisions and save this industry in
the next year or so.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
I mean, it exploded, that's for sure. I mean, how
many shops and distribution centers are there in Colorado? I
think that seems to be the hub before all this
got started.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
And it's like, well there are bait shops, Yeah, bake
shops are everywhere, you selling a lot of this. The
gummies are everywhere selling a lot of this. Yeah, it's again,
thirty billion dollars. This is not just a Denver issue
or Colorado is.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, exactly, And Die Roy, thank you, buddy.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I appreciate you.
