the neighborhood. Here on the Young Henry Show on News
Radio seven to ten WNTM. Thank you so much for
listening to the Uncle Henry Show. I appreciate that bear
very much. Before I get into all the stuff that
we're going to get into on the Uncle Henry Show,
Shelby Mitchell of ninety five KSJ has slipped into this

(02:17):
studio to tell us about something that she is promoting
this weekend, something you care about very fiercely.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Yes, sir, Hey Mitchell, Yes.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
What are you here to promote? Shelby Mitchell.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
Well, tomorrow morning it is the walk to end Alzheimer's
and it is very important because I'm walking for Nanny Ruth,
who is Colton's grandma. Colton used to be our intern here.
He went just from being a kid in sarah Land
to a superstar in Boston.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
He was our intern for a while.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
The guy, a guy that used to work here with us. Yeah,
he did one of these weird career things that rarely
happened at a mobile where he went here. I think
he went from Mobile to Nashville to Boston.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Right, So he went directly to Boston.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Directly to Boston. They wanted him in nash.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
Right, there was no stepping stones.

Speaker 7 (03:03):
He just and now he's a television star there for
the NBC affiliate. So, yeah, his grandma. He would bring
her in here and she was a hoot. Nanny Ruth
was her name, and she was on the radio with
us years ago. So anyway, she passed from Alzheimer's. So
that's why I walk to end Alzheimer's. They do them
all over the country, but we're doing this in Foley
tomorrow in Oah and it's not too early. That's another

(03:24):
reason I like to do this walk because registration's at nine,
then there's a beautiful ceremony at ten, and then right
after that we kick off the walk. And so we've changed.
It used to be at the Battleship, but it's gonna
be at o Wah Okay.

Speaker 6 (03:35):
The route is great there. You can do a one
mile or.

Speaker 7 (03:37):
A three mile, all right, and we are just you know,
we're doing this fight against Alzheimer'. It's a great community,
wonderful people and there's gonna be a lot of hugs
and probably a few tears, but a lot of smiles too.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
And I like to make friends there. But everybody can come.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Well good and you're and you you're part of a team.
If people want to find out more about this, info
at ninety five KSJ dot com. And when you get
the info, you'll see to where you can donate if
you want to donate to the team, the iHeart Team,
or just make a donation.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Sure, you can do that and we'll take that. And
it's just right there.

Speaker 7 (04:08):
And if you want to show up and register, that's fine,
or if you want to pre register right now, you
can do it. But it's right there on the little
front page at ninety five KSJ dot com.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
All right, so that is tomorrow the mobile Bay Walk
to end Alzheimer's. While you're in the room. Shelby Mitchell
of ninety five KSJU. We had the concert this past
Tuesday night, Veteransday Night at Doherty's on Dauphin Island for
Vets Recover. Yes, talked about it on this show. What
are the final what's the final results in terms of

(04:38):
raising money and awareness for this group?

Speaker 6 (04:41):
Do you want to know the final total that we raise?

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Well, yeah, that would be good.

Speaker 6 (04:44):
That everybody helped us do y'all. It was so amazing.

Speaker 7 (04:48):
It was now I had it in front of me,
now I don't have it, but it was like nine
thousand and a.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Little bit more.

Speaker 7 (04:54):
Okay, I mean that's huge, So thank you to anybody
who was part of that or made a donation. We
had a couple a little anonymous downers that came up
that night as well. But it was a beautiful night
under the stars. We thought, oh my gosh, it's going
to be so cold, and it was, but they had heaters,
they had little fire pits. The artist Dylan Carmichael was amazing.
And then the local favorites who were the openers. They

(05:15):
were so good, Zachary Thomas Dietrich and Marcus Fox, and
it was just a great vibe. Everybody had their blankets
and their drinks or hot chocolate whatever.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
It was fun.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
It was. It was a very nice event.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Can you for being there? You did a great job
on the stage, by the.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Way, well you did all the talking. I just stood
there near her. But the the the great thing about
doing this this for veterans. We know it's a cause
just like Alzheimer's that needs the attention that you can
give it. Yes, it was great though, having the Vets
Recover people there at the event, actually seeing the money
get raised and then hearing the total and just it

(05:49):
was that was very gratifying.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
It really was.

Speaker 7 (05:51):
And gosh, Vets Recover Vets helping vets that that's such
an amazing I'm still learning about.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
It's such an amazing organization.

Speaker 7 (05:57):
And just hearing about what they do I'm just like
in AWE and it was cool to meet some of
the veterans.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
I met an older.

Speaker 7 (06:03):
Gentleman and then another gentleman who had his service dog
with him, and it was really neat to meet them.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
Hey, can I since you brought it up? Real quick, listener, listener,
you the listener. I met a Vietnam vet when I
was at Doherty's. I meant to tell you about it. Yesterday.
I met a Vietnam vet that I will not forget
him because his name is Ronald Donald. Oh, hey told me.
And this is a man. I don't think mister Donald

(06:30):
will mind me saying that he is in I think
he's eighty or in his early eighties, Okay, but did
He said he was like six tourists in Vietnam or
seven tours in Vietnam. It was a lot. And he
said that all of his life he's had a lot
of fun with the name Ronald Donald. His name is
Ronald Donald. Now. He said he listens to ninety five

(06:53):
KSJ that he moved here about eight years ago. He
said he taught himself to love country music and he
listens to K Jay only so's I guess it's not
hearing this, okay, but he said that he has taught
his wife to listen to country music and now that's
all she listens to. Smart his wife's name. His name
is uh Ronald Donald. His wife's name is Donna Donald.

(07:18):
Stop it, And I said, and I said to him,
I said, it must be fun when you two are
going and filling out forms. They're just feeling, you know,
you go and peaces want, people want your name, and
all this time must be fun filling out forms and
have people here that she's Donna Donald Donald, He's Ronald.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Nome or if they're at you know, somewhere where they
introduce themselves together Ronna and Donald Donald.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Yes, it would be diffult that that is very memorable.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Well memorable enough that I can mention it here. I
don't know if I should have, but I remember I
like that. And at the at the end of our discussion,
he wanted me to know that his father, his father's
name was Ronald Ronald stop. Yes, and no explanation given.
There was no explanation given on why his dad had

(08:05):
the same name as his first and last name.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
What it's like George Foreman, George with all of the
kids named George. Yeah, I love it, I think, but it.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Was Ronald Ronald and then Donald Ronald and then Donald Donald.

Speaker 6 (08:17):
Beautiful, very good.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
All right, Well Shelby, thank thank you for helping me.
Thanks tape up an entire segment of the show again.
If you want to go to that walk tomorrow. Registration
at nine, the walk is at ten. All that stuff
at Oha and Foley. Shelby, thank you, thank you, Uncle,
appreciate it. Very very good. All right. We are going
to go into a break or traffic, weather and words
from our sponsors. And I've got many I've got a

into as the Uncle Henry Show moves forward. Here on

headlines coming up in ten minutes. If there's something you

telephone number two five one four seven nine two seven

share is gonna go up double man because of what
Trump doing?

Speaker 5 (10:00):
What did Trump do?

Speaker 8 (10:02):
He signed somewhere. They don't want to stand Obamacare for
right now.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
Yeah, it's something. Now you think he's the he's the
one responsible for this. Or maybe the legislators that passed
it and passed an expiration date on it, maybe they
had something to do with it.

Speaker 8 (10:21):
Yeah, they he signed it, yeah, both of them. And
Andrew you are you just got married man.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Back in April?

Speaker 8 (10:29):
Yes, and you still got a job. Well yeah, well look, Henry,
your wife all your wife married you. She saw, she
saw you looking, and she's still married you.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
Now, now, don't talk about me being naked in front
of people. That's disgusting.

Speaker 8 (10:46):
I'm gonna get you a prison, man. I'm gonna get
your wife and bip overs hell.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
This that is disgusting.

Speaker 8 (10:52):
Uh, you are you're still alright with me? Man, I
although we don't agree with nothing, but you're still alright
with me.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
All right, Well then I'm gonna I'm gonna say you're
all right with me. Just don't mention me being naked
in front of people.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
You going to the game, tomorrow and Ladd Alabama submissions Valley.

Speaker 5 (11:08):
No, I'm not going to that game, but I hope
they have big attendance.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
Well, it'll be alright, it'll be all right. But I'll
tell you what, man, South Alabama ain't gonna make no
board this year. Man, you're gonna have to start doing
better recruit. That's's gonna have to happen.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Well, it does look that way, doesn't it.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
All right, man, I'm gonna let you go. You still
got a job. Yes, I got to congratulates you on that.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
Hey, al I just I just this week I signed
a new three year deal, so three more years.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
Only Alabama and a white man could get a deal
like that.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Alright, man, yes, thank you, Yes, only only white guys
get three years deals. I'm sure there's some other math
involved with every ethnicity. I'm sure there's a chart somewhere
where we can look match the ethnicity to the the
the length of contract. But thank you, al And don't
nobody look, please don't mention me in terms of nudity.

(12:09):
All right, now, there are there are. I know you
have your own reasons you listen to this show. Maybe
maybe one reason is you want to hear the old
man get upset. You think it's so much fun to
hear the old man get upset. Let's see if we
can make him upset. It's terrible to talk about me
in terms of being nicked, especially just with another person.

(12:37):
It is disgusting that you would ever even think of
me in these terms. And I've asked you for years,
do not imagine me nicked. That is just that you
do not have my permission to imagine me nicked. This
is something that you do not have permission to do.
If you are imagining me nicked, then in a state

(12:59):
of undress, that is that you don't have my permission.
You're doing something wrong. It's disgusting what you're doing to
imagine me. There's no reason at my age, in my
position in life, there is no reason. There's no legitimate
reason for you to ever come up with a scenario
in your head, in your imagination where I would be unclothed,

(13:23):
no reason, there's nothing legitimate about it. You'd have to
be a pervert, this is true. You'd have to be
a pervert inside your heart to ever imagine me with
no clothes. There's no legitimate reason for it. If you
are imagining me when you're not listening to me. If

(13:47):
you are imagining me in some type of scenario in
your mind that you've invented, that scenario should have me
completely clothed. It should. There's no other Look, there's no
I'm right about this and you know it, So don't
do it. Don't imagine me nicked, and never call the

(14:12):
show and bring this something like that up. You know,
you know, my mother still is alive, thank the Lord,
And there are some days of the week where she
she's got she knows who she is and all this
kind of stuff, and sometimes she listens to the show
and understands what it is. Do you think, what do

(14:34):
you think that goes across her mind when she hears
something like that. It's horrible, What a horrible thing you're
doing to my mother when she would hear this, here's
some man calling in talking about me being naked in
front of somebody. It's disgusting. Well, my family to hear this.

(14:59):
My family members, guess what I got a relative, he's
on the radio. We're proud of him. Tune him in
and then they tune in the show and they hear
somebody calling in about be me and neked in front
of them. It's disgusting.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
Don't do it.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
It means you're a pervert, all right. Look, listener, I
had to get that off my chest. I apologize. But
you wouldn't want to be talked about it this way,
would you. You wouldn't want your family to hear people
calling in a in a public forum talking about your nudity.

(15:40):
You wouldn't like it. You'd be scandalized by two some people.
It'd be a traumatic event for him.

Speaker 9 (15:54):
Hellow caller, Norman, Well, I try to listen to the
show a lot. I don't get expense to call in
as much or very awful, but I do try to
listen to it, and I can. I can make you
one promise, you know, as a long time listener and

(16:18):
a participant. Yes, but I would never ever ever refer
to to you naked or nudity or or or the
apprehendry you know, skinny dipping or streaking or anything that
involve you. Thank you, nicked, because that is just so
disrespectful and I don't think that's what the audience is

(16:39):
here for.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
Norman. Thank you you by the way, you have blessed me.
You have taken my temperature down several nights. Thank you
so much, thank you for being on hold. Thank you.

Speaker 9 (16:50):
Well, that's not what we're here for. I don't want
to talk about, you know, Nudy. That's just the you know,
the thing is, it's a time and a place for everything,
not that ever a time and a place for that.
You're right, Never a time, especially on this when we're
trying to talk about you know, serious issues and topics
like you know, Alabama football and you're braiding money for

(17:14):
veterans and that kind of stuff. We don't need to
you know, they don't need a lot of garb.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
I agree. I agree. Now, Norman, we are about to
go into our news break. Do you do you want
to hang on? Is there something you want to tell
the audience?

Speaker 9 (17:27):
I can hang you on. Ain't nothing special, but I
don't get to call, so I'll hang on.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
Excell all right, fantastic, All right, I'm putting Norman on hold.
What a wonderful turn around. I believe the Lord is
involved in this. This is somebody would pre you were
praying for me, weren't you? You were praying for me?
And the Lord putting Norman on the phone.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Is News Radio seven ten WNTM.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
The Uncle Henry Show continues here on news radio seven
to ten WNTM. It's five thirty five coming up Monday
on the Uncle Henry Show, going to have I'm going
to have the sheriff back in here, Tobio County Sheriff

(18:39):
Paul Birch the guest Monday on The Uncle Henry Show.
Two five.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Three.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
The telephone number in Norman has been holding through the
commercial break. Norman, thank you for holding.

Speaker 9 (18:54):
Well, find you for that in the whole. You know,
it's only an honor and a pleasure to participate. I
just hate that I can't do it more often. You know,
with modern technology, I can listen even while even when
an old man like me, whenever you even when you're working,
you know, you can still kind of listen. Just you know,

(19:18):
when you when you're greeting customer, you can't really uh
can't really participate right right right?

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Well, what's what's what's on your mind these days? Norman?
What what did you want to bring forward to the listener?

Speaker 9 (19:32):
Well, let the I mean there's a whole bunch of
important stuff going on, you know, of course it's a
it's a shame and disgrace, as always anything having to
do with the Democrats and Schumer and Pelosi. Anything they
do is detrimental to the country, and the media is
still complicit. As long as I've been away, nothing changes,

(19:56):
None of that garbage changes. And now you've still got
know more information of the I mean, the more more
population of low information voters that still support these people,
the ones with their hands out. I've been I've been
real happy that they've been departing a lot of these
illegals and that they're finding out, you know, and they're

(20:17):
cutting off the money flow, you know, and you notice
that the hit dog will holler. The people that are
getting the kickbacks are the ones hollering. And that's why
they don't want some money cut off, because they don't
want to get their money cut off. You know. For example,
you know, how in the world, and we've been talking
about this for years, how do you somebody like Nancy

(20:39):
Pelosi going there on one hundred something thousand dollars a
year salary and she's worth how much one hundred and
sixteen million dollars or something like that.

Speaker 5 (20:49):
It's a lot, Yes, it's tremendous. Yeah, Well, she says
her husband is really good. She says her husband's a
great stock trader. He's really good at it.

Speaker 9 (20:58):
Yes, So if you if you know what what the
what who's going to get the permits and who's gonna
get laws, and who gets patents and who gets what? Yeah,
of course you're a good stock trader. If I had
that information, I would too, right, you know, it's it's
just you know everything. You know, there's so much that's
going on. I actually I wish I could call and

(21:19):
talk more because there's so many topics that I that
I want to address. You know, I think there's dead
gum Ai is is is Antichrist. You know, I think
it's all of the Devil's computers. You know, it's now
got everybody relying and depending on the computers. They handle everything,
they handle the money, they handle it, you know, control everything.

(21:41):
Everything's about control with the leftists, and they got they
just back got everybody under control.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Well, it'll be digital i D. You're not gonna you're
not gonna be able to watch Disney princesses and stuff
in the future. Your children won't be able to watch
Disney princesses unless your family has some type of digital
I D. Once we get the digitali D, that'll be
at Norman.

Speaker 9 (22:05):
Yeah, well that's that's what they're trying to do. Everything
they're trying to do it. And it's also they control
everything so they can control commerce, so they can tack
you make sure you don't get more than what they need. Right,
That's exactly what all these leftists and stuff are saying
out loud. These people they can't remember that it's been
how many years ago? Was two thousand and one? Twenty

(22:27):
four years ago?

Speaker 5 (22:29):
I'm not good at math, but that sounds right, yeah.

Speaker 9 (22:32):
About twenty four years ago and now and then, and
these people you got to because because of our education system,
they're putting people in power or people that are you know,
in in position that openly support, you know, the Muslims
and hate the Jews and hate the America and want
to see us crumble. They don't do't want to obey

(22:53):
our law. They wanted dead. You bring illegals in here,
give illegals the right to vote. They don't want on
any accountability, nothing like that. It again, and I know
that the people that's been on the listening waiting me
to say this, it makes me sick, makes me sick, sick,
sick me too, But I all just inward this. I

(23:18):
don't want to take up the whole show. I just
wanted to, you know, participate because it happening so long.
But y'all still pray for this country. Pray for me. Uh,
pray for Coasting Bar and the Crimson Tide and roll Tide,
God bless.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
America, roll Tid.

Speaker 10 (23:33):
Have a good day you too.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Thank you, Norman. What a wonderful thing to hear from
Norman again. And yes, you know we had that caller earlier.
It was talking about why am I still working and
where that's where we are in America. People like me
and Norman. We got to keep grinding it down. We
got to keep working until until until the grave in

(23:58):
modern America. But if I could only get elected, Ma,
you know, I guess I should have run for Congress
years ago. I'd be I'd have I'd have a I'd
be doing this show from a walk in ice cream freezer.
Two five one four seven nine two seven two three.
The telephone number that's two five one four seven nine
two seven two three. Hello caller, Hi, Hey, you are

(24:21):
live on the radio.

Speaker 9 (24:24):
Hey, I want to call and apologize for it.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
How did that was terrible?

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Well, I'm glad you recognize that that was a terrible
phone call.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
Yeah, nobody should ever do that what he talked about.

Speaker 9 (24:36):
I don't even want to talk about what he said.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
Well, good, I don't. I would prefer that we never
ever talk about those type of topics on the program.

Speaker 9 (24:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
The only thing works than I would be imagining all
the folds that you're meachined, your fat mother naked?

Speaker 10 (24:49):
What you stop that sick? That is so sick, you
fink I feel like somebody is paying for that, some
that was say that that had to be paid for.

Speaker 5 (25:02):
You know, no coincidence. Norman called in and started talking
about these real issues about the country being sold out
by corrupt politician. The corruption now got to be it's
got to be near historic levels of corruption all in
our political system. And as soon as Norman is touching

(25:23):
on that, here comes somebody to talk about my mother
and throw some nudity in there to make it extra perverted.
You're sick. You're sick for doing it, and I want
to I want to get to the bottom of it
and find out who is paying people to do this,
Who is paying people to do this, because it's got

(25:43):
to be it's got to be paid for, I believe,
because what kind of what kind of uh a ne'er
do well good for nothing sleeves bag would just sit
out there in his one room apartment, sitting on a
milk crate, we no furniture, waiting to call into the show.

(26:04):
Who would be out there doing that? Because your garden
variety sleeves Bag. Because think about it, the garden variety
sleeves bag out there. There is an entire galaxy now
thanks to the Internet, there's just all kinds of filth
out there. It's like a golden age of filth. People
want to be filth. If they can just get on
their their smartphone, they can just swim in that filth

(26:25):
all day long. For that person, for that sleezebag scumbag
to be there calling this show, you know, taking valuable
time away from their pursuit of their pursuit of filth.
They could be just wallering in the filth. But instead
they're going to be listening to this and calling in

(26:47):
trying to trying to interrupt this. No, that's they would
never do that. They would never take their attention away
from whatever kind of filth they're watching, some kind of
perverted garbage. No, that had to be paid for. I
want to find out who's doing that, find out how much,
how much how much do they get paid per call

(27:11):
or at lest I apologize again. That is twice in
one day that this show. When there was there was
like a glimmer of something good and then boom incomes
the incomes, the the mentioning of naked flesh, all these
kind of things. Right when there's something good, here comes
here comes somebody talking about it. Uh, an elderly woman's body.

(27:34):
It's just horrible. It's horrible what these people are doing.
But We're gonna get to the bottom of it. I'm
gonna figure it out, find out who's paying them. I
think that there's there's there's you know, I'm gonna have
to ask the sheriff about it. Monday, I'm gonna, I
am I'm gonna ask sheriff birds about this. If they

(27:59):
could track down on these these predators that are going
after kids, they've got to be up they I would
like to have somebody tracking down the predators that are
attacking the elderly. All right, there's more to come. I
will continue the program after we take a time out

(28:19):
for traffic and weather and words from our sponsors, the
Unclaimer Show. We'll proceed forward.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Seven ten timesaver traffic from the main Street Flooring and
Design Traffic Center.

Speaker 8 (28:29):
If you're trailing on Highway ninety eight from Daphne to
it ten, it's a nine minute drive.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
Also, we have congestion west on the Bayway from the
Eastern Shore too.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Now number one for podcasting. This is News Radio seven
ten WNT and iHeartRadio station.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
This is the Uncle Henry Show. It's five point fifty
news headlines coming up in ten minutes. Telephone number two
five one four seven nine two seven two three. That's
two five one four seven nine two seven two three.
A reminder that you can hear me on FM radio.

K s J. Let me get to voicemail voicemail number
tw six nineteen seventy six, that's two five one two
one six, nineteen seventy six to leave a message for
the uncle.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Henry show Bill tied man, what a beautimous day we've
had today. I started out the early part of the
day sitting on the back porch. That's where I get
the sunshine up until around lunchtime. And then are you
getting a little bit warm back there? So I moved
to the front porch to where I've got some shade.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
That's where I remain here at one point forty one
pm on this Friday afternoon, reading all about the upcoming
matchup between Alabama and Oklahoma tomorrow. I don't mind telling you,
Uncle Listener's got me real concerns, real concern I won't
list all the reasons, but it's got me concerned. But

(30:48):
Old Tide anyhow, Roll tied.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
Roll, sixty eight year old Chris of West Locksley, thank
you for that, boys man. I'm also concerned just by
seat seeing, uh, just by seeing how effective the oklahom
A defense has been so far. This season. I think
I heard some stat that they they don't let you
score more than two touchdowns or something like that, so
they're going to be quite a challenge. But we've seen

(31:14):
Alabama challenged this season and Alabama's found a way. So,
as you said, rolltied, roll. Looking forward to that and yes,
once again we'll be watching over the TV antenna because
YouTube TV still has its dispute going on with ESPN

(31:36):
and Disney. I saw a story today claiming that ESPN
and Disney is losing about thirty million dollars a week
in this dispute. That they are losing about thirty million
dollars a week. That is uh. It says something about

(31:58):
a company. If your company can it take a loss
like that and just keep on keeping on. Pretty strong company.
But yeah, looking forward to that game. Two five to
one four seven nine two seven two three. The telephone
number that's two five to one four seven nine two
seven two three, email address Uncle Henry at iHeartMedia dot com.
There was there was a story I wanted to make

(32:20):
sure I mentioned to you today because I've talked to
you now for years about my love of good infrastructure
in a town and how streets that are all torn
up and have potholes in them make me angry, they do.
You see that all the things that government spends money on,

(32:42):
and you wonder how they can't keep streets in good
condition with potholes in them. Well, I saw today that
a company, the company pep Boys, has ranked the worst
roads in America based on repair data for alignments, suspensions,

(33:06):
tires and things like that. And they say the worst
roads in the country, or in Orlando. Orlando is number
one for the worst roads, Chicago's number two. Where is Mobile,

(33:27):
Alabama on the list? Well, Mobile, Alabama is on the list.
Mobile is listed as number twenty in terms of the
cities with the worst roads. Mobile is number twenty. No
other city in the state of Alabama in the top

(33:48):
twenty or even in the top thirty. But Mobile is
twenty for worst roads in the United States of America.
So I would ask the Mobile City Council and Mayor Spiro,
You've got a lot of big, lofty goals, which is good.
We all need big lofty goals. How about getting us

(34:13):
dropped off this list. We're number twenty on the list
of the worst roads. Could you drop us off of
the get us out of the top thirty by next year.
It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't All you'd have to
do is fix the dead gum potholes. That's all it
would take. It's all it would take. Get us off

(34:36):
that list. We don't need to be mentioned. I don't
see Birmingham's nowhere on this list. Get us off the
list of bad roads. All right, there is more to come.
I've got some voicemail, I got some snake trap I've

(34:57):
got some snake trapper voicemail. I want to get to
I'm going to get to that and more as The
Uncle Henry Show continues after the news break here on

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
