I don't know if America is goingto survive. This country is whacked out
right now every time. But yeah, look at the state of the country.
Oh, but this country is iswhacked out right now. This is
(00:51):
insanity. These people are insane inthe membrane, Yes they are. They're
insane in the membrane, and theirmembrane is affecting my membrane. That's right,
(01:11):
my membrane, the integrity of mymembrane is being affected by these other
people that's insane in their membrane.Uncle Henry Show underway. You're on news

seven two three. Email I addressUncle Henry at iHeartMedia dot com. Uncle
(01:56):
Henry and iHeartMedia dot com. There'sa lot of stuff to get into News
one. Although for many people thatlive in the state of Alabama, our
state of mind, our emotional wellbeing can be affected somewhat by the outcome
of college football games, and wedid have some college football over the weekend.
(02:17):
Let me see, I did geta Let me start with this message
phoned him by a listener about collegefootball, Uncle Henry, South Alabama thirty
three, Oklahoma State seven Jags. All right, very good, have a
good day. Hey, thank youfor thank you for bringing up the Jags.
(02:39):
The Jags are doing quite well, doing quite well. I believe they're
two and one on the season, and they had a just an outstanding victory
over the weekend. I'll get intothat next hour here on news radio seven
ten WNTM. Now the Alabama CrimsonTide. The Alabama Crimson Tide did win
(03:00):
the football game Saturday, although Ifeel like it was kind of a test.
The game was kind of a testfor everybody involved, not just the
team but also the fans, atest to see can you can your love
of the Tide remain true? Whilethey struggled, they were really struggling in
struggling. Yes, they were struggling. It was such a struggle. It
(03:23):
was as if Nayman was Namath wassaying it in struggling, struggling. Yes,
but Alabama did win. Alabama didwin. Now, let me go
to some voicemail reaction to Alabama's victoryover the University of South Florida over the
weekend. Let's see my first,Let's go to a real intense Alabama fan,
(03:53):
sixty six year old Chris of WestLocksley, for his analysis of this
Tide. Uh. Well, uncle, If anybody says they kind of expected
that the way that went, they'relying. Nobody in their right mind thought
that that game would go the wayit did. But I will say this,
(04:13):
I'm gonna accentuate the positives because weall know what all the negatives were.
The defense played lights out, Theyhad occasions where they couldn't tackle that
slippery quarterback, but buying lawyers, the defense played lights out. Hughy Town's
owned roy Dale Williams, he's mystarting running back from here on out.
(04:33):
And Kie Simpsons the quarterback got tobe that last drive he was in charge.
You could tell it. He wasa gun show there the first couple
of times he was in the game. But as the more he was in
there, the more you knew hewas the hm I s it still might
(04:58):
end up being a long year.Defense is gonna have the bills out and
hold me. This thing's gonna beeasy. But if we'll just run this
deepid football. I don't know aboutthis kid offensive coordinator that came from Notre
Dame has not impressed me, alongwith his transferred quarterback horrible. Oh good,
(05:24):
that's gracious, No wonder Brian Kellyleft Notre Dame went to LSU anyhow,
Roll Tide Row, Uncle, RollTide Roll. Sixty six year old
Chris, thank you for your analysis. I was as I was listening to
Chris's analysis, which is easier totake a few days after the game,
because it was very difficult to watch. It just calmed me down. To
(05:47):
listen to sixty six year old Chris'sanalysis. Would somebody should hire him to
do some just a brief segment duringthe Alabama game, just to have the
fan just I don't know what you'dcall it, Guyan Locksley reviews that come
up with a name for it,but it would I would love to hear
sixty six year old Chris give thesecommentaries on the radio on the weekend,
(06:12):
right right after the game, rightbefore Saban's press conferences. Now, uh,
for those that gamble, Now,I'm not a gambler, but I
do have some listeners that gamble. Here is a gambling listener who gambled on
the Alabama game and wanted to callin with their tell us how it went.
(06:34):
Hey, Uncle Henry, the skyis blue today, Baby, it
is blue today. Why I'm rollingin the clams? Really, I got
some of my clams back. Iput five fifty on the opposite team that
played Alabama because even the young Communistssaid, he didn't believe they'd stay'd hang
(06:56):
thirty one points on up. Well, now now l leave the mad truck.
Are referring to the young communists,That would be young Charlie, who
last week was making his picks andyoung Charlie saying Alabama would not hang thirty
one on University of South Florida. That would be the young Communist. He's
Alabama because even the young Communists saidhe didn't believe they'd hang thirty one points
(07:19):
on him. Well they didn't seventeento three Alabama. See, I told
you that old man he needs togo packing. He couldn't even beat a
fourth grade that was a high schoolteam he played, you know, basically,
and he couldn't even barely beat him, barely. He barely had a
score. Well, I got mymoney back. I'm happy about that.
(07:45):
So I want to thank you youngCommunists because he had me thinking. You
know what, I don't think theycan do it either, especially if they're
gonna change quarterbacks and the quarterback's gonnabe scared to death. And it doesn't
look like he did much of anythinglast night, did he A You know
what, I'm an Alabama fan,but man, does Saban need to go?
Get that old man out of there? What fiery the belly? Baby?
(08:09):
Come on? But you know what, you know what might be good.
One good thing about Sabing is I'mgonna bet against him the rest of
the year and I'm sure I'm gonnaget all the clams I need. It's
ridiculous. That is ridiculous. Look, he's the greatest of all time.
It's he lost. It was onegame. It was one game, and
(08:30):
you're and you're still screaming that Sabanneeds to go. What a sad commentary.
What a sad commentary on fandom.Although that tells you all you need
to know about modern fandom. Peoplejust addicted to their gambling and their illicit
(08:50):
clams. Ready to throw Saban underthe bus, even though he's the guy
that brought us the bus. UncleHenry Show News Radio seven ten w nt
(09:20):
M. It is five twenty. We have news headlines coming up in ten
minutes from le Nice lagone of Foxten News and also Fox Radio National News.
If you'd like to join the UncleHenry Show with a phone call,
you can give me a call attwo five one four seven nine two seven

address Uncle Henry and iHeartMedia dot com. That's Uncle Henry and iHeartMedia dot com.
Uh. I've received even more messagesabout the Alabama game. I do
want to get to s some ofthose, although you can interrupt those those
calls if you'd like at two fiveone four seven nine two seven two three.
(10:07):
But for me and for a lotof people, it is a top
issue. Yes, I know wehave the communists running the government, trying
to spend us into oblivion, openthe borders, just completely destroy every institution
in the country or warp it beyondrecognition. I know that's all going on.
It's the fall of Western civilization. But we can also talk a little
(10:28):
bit of football in between noting thefall of civilization again two five one,
four seven nine, two seven twothree. Hello color Hi, Hey you
are live on the radio. Hi. That Alabama game was scary, Yes
it was. It was and itwas hard to watch. Yes. Yeah.
(10:50):
They keep saying of offensive line's gonnabe good either are like three hundred
and fifty pounds each, But theyweren't not any good. I don't know.
They should all be good at thatlevel. They've all been recruited because
they're the best athletes in the country. This should be better, Yes,
Yeah, Nick Saber needs to transferthose trade in those three hundred fifty pounds.
If you are the transfer port andget a five hundred pounder like your
(11:13):
mother. Leave my mother out ofthis. My mother has never been close
to five hundred pounds yet, freak. Never now, Look if you are
five hundred pounds, God bless you. No comment. My mother's never been
that big. She's always been theregular. She's always been the appropriate weight
according to insurance industry actuaries for herheight and age in activity level. Leave
(11:37):
her out of this. If youwant to come after me, come after
me, freak, come after me, freak. Leave her out of it.
Direct your insults right to me.All right, listener, I apologize
for this. I know you tunedin hoping to hear some type of intelligent
analysis of current events. It's alsothe comings and goings of local politics and
(12:01):
all that kind of stuff. ButI've got to defend my family, all
right. Let me, I'm gonnacalm down. Let me calm down,
all right. Let me go backto the Phone's two five one or seven
nine two seven two three is thenumber? Hello, caller, It's really
(12:22):
stop it, all right, allright, I don't look. If I
have to look, if I haveto, I'll just call myself. I
will, I'll figure it out.I'll I'll maybe I'll call in on my
smartphone and I'll just talk to myself. I'll make do if this is the
(12:45):
kind of stuff I know. Welive in these times where you can't you
can't just go out with an opinionlike I love the Alabama Crimson Tide.
You can't have any opinion in thiscountry without somebody trying to attack you,
cancel you after your mother, callin, imitating just completely inferior cartoon characters
(13:07):
like Woody Woodpecker. It's terrible, but that's where we are now. My
generation didn't do this. No,this was whoever came after me mess things
up because my generation didn't do this. In fact, my generation before we
before we lost our usefulness. Weinvented caller ID. We did. It's
(13:33):
the people that came after us thatthat made it so that they can do
all these anonymous things. It's terriblewhat they're doing. All right, Where
was I? Alabama Crimson Tide awonderful victory over the weekend. Let's listen
to more reaction from people that don'tattack my mother. Hey uncle, Henry
Snake Chapher, hey man, sittinghere watching the Alabama football game. It's
(13:56):
almost half time. South Florida's atUS three to nothing boys not playing good,
Henry, But what a call totell you about. ABC is broadcasting
this game, yes, and itis absolutely horrible. I mean it looks
like they have one camera up topof the stadium in the end zone looking
(14:18):
down, or when you see thewhole field, or there's one that looks
like it may be coming from theuh comment taking booth. Uh. I
mean you cannot get good detail outof any of the plays that's going on
the field. Now, that wasthere was a there was lightning in the
area. From what I understand, there was lightning around there, and so
(14:43):
they took all the camera people outand they just had to have mounted cameras
for a while, so Snake Truppord. That's why it looked so bad,
was the lightning, and they theycared. You know, it's okay to
run around in the rain, Iguess and get hit by lightning, but
(15:03):
the camera people had to be protectedanyway. That's why the cameras were bad.
I mean, ABC, You're tobe ashamed of yourself broadcast in the
game like this. This looks likesomething you would see from an amateur maybe
at a pictures stadium or something, somebody up in a helicopter. I mean,
it's horrible. I the only onenoticing this. You were not,
(15:26):
By the way, the announcers,no off everybody's trying to do the best
they can. But really, Ithought of all the people that complain for
years about Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist, and then what I heard on ABC
was as as almost like they wentout into the look you could take callers
(15:48):
from my show. You could haveput sixty six year old Christ and Snake
Trapper in the booth and they wouldhave done a better job on ABC than
the two guys that did the job. No, of course, no offense
to the wonderful broadcast professionals and ABC'snational broadcast, but they were terrible compared
to the people to call my show. It could have been a three man
(16:11):
booth, could have been me,uh, sixty six year old Christ and
Snake Trapper. We would have handledit beautifully. It would have been a
lot easier to listen to than whatwe saw from what we saw and heard
on that broadcast. But anyway,I just wanted to share that would your
buddy, Maybe they'll pull it off. I mean, they're not looking good.
But I'll end this with a bigold low tide. Thank you Snake
(16:37):
Trapper for sharing me, sharing withus that kind of odd role time,
but thank you for that. Yeah, it was a terrible broadcast on ABC.
It's one thing when Alabama struggles andstruggling, that's one thing, But
then you're gonna put it on ABCand they're not going to give you the
A team, the B team, the C team. They apparently thought that
(17:00):
they could put anybody on that game, any announcing crew on that game,
even though Alabama was playing. Iguess they thought only Alabama fans and South
Florida fans would have watched it bythe time they were finished. They were
probably right anyway. Right, look, let's get into other more important stuff
(17:25):
like news headlines. We have newsheadlines coming coming up here. Right after
we checked traffic. We'll hear fromLanice Lagan of Fox ten. We'll get
Fox Radio national news words from oursponsors, and then right back with Uncle
Henry's show here on News Radio seventen w n TA Uncle Henry Show,
(18:07):
News Radio seven w nt N.It is five thirty five. I hope
you're having a wonderful, wonderful evening. I really really enjoyed the morning this
morning with the lower humidity, thecooler temperatures. And we're one of those
(18:30):
communities where I've noticed in the mobilearea that people will people will dress in
shorts and a T shirt up untilright about now, and then when it
drops below seventy suddenly they dress. They're dressing like they're going to the north
(18:53):
Pole. They do it. Ithappens. There's no there's there doesn't seem
to be a big in between withsome people. I'm very curious, will
some people dress tonight like they're gowhen when I drive home this evening,
will I see someone on the sideof the road in a heavy heavy jacket?
(19:18):
Probably so? Probably so. Twofive one four seven nine two seven
two three is a telephone number. That's two five one four seven nine two
seven two three. Email address UncleHenry and iHeartMedia dot com. That's Uncle
Henry and iHeartMedia dot com. I'vegot more voicemail to get to from over
the weekend, many people calling inabout the Alabama crimson tide. I don't
(19:42):
want to spend the rest of theshow on that. I've got a couple
of more messages about the crimson tide. Let's see there's one. I've got
one more from sixty six year oldChris from Sunday morning after he had t
I'm to let the the uncomfortable andawkward victory processed through his mind, because
(20:07):
yes, it was an Alabama victory. But when they're when they're when they
look like that one looked like, you have to you have to go through
a process. You have to gothrough all of your thoughts and your emotions.
You have to feel the victory.Uncle. Sit out here on the
(20:29):
front porch, enjoying this nice coolbreeze and blowing in out of the north,
still a steady eighty eight degrees, which I thoroughly enjoy. You know,
I like it hot, and Ilike it when there's a nice breeze
blowing when it's hot. Anyhow,I didn't call to give you a weather
report. Another take on the ObamaBut they're calling football team right now,
(20:52):
the alleged Alabama football team. Uncle. As you well know, there are
two basics in football, and it'scalled blocking and tackling, and right now
we don't do we don't do verywell at either one. Now everybody's saying,
well, the defense showed up yesterday. In some regards, yes,
(21:12):
but they missed a whole heap anda lot of tackles. They don't tackle
well, and the offensive line doesnot block well. I said before the
season started, though, talking toa friend of mine, that you and
I both know that Alabama would losetwo ball games. Well, I'm doubling
(21:33):
that now. I got to sleepforward. They are giving up on him.
Uncle. It's just that they don'tThey're not well coached. And of
course the buck stops with coach Sabanin regards to that. But he got
hoodwinked on this offensive coordinator. Idon't know if he let Brian Kelly talk
him in to hire anym or what. But and Kevin Steele is defensive coordinator
(22:00):
at best. That was an evenswap or an even gift. When we
lost Golden they still look the sameanyhow, I still enjoyed the football.
But now that I've accepted as whatwe are, well, and I've seen
(22:22):
where the aps got us rank numbertwelve now it is the first time we've
been out of the top ten sincetwo thousand and fifteen. Things have slacked
off a little bit this year, but I got faith in the head man.
He will right the ship, buthe's probably gonna have to run off
a few assistant coaches before that getsaccomplished. Just my two cents worth,
(22:47):
uncle, and I could be wrong. I've been wrong on them before,
Lord knows. I hope they wentall the rest, but it just doesn't
look too bright anyhow. Looking forwardto Monday, take road, mister road
Tiro, All right, okay,it's it's it's not. It's not the
kind of messages I was hoping Iwould get at this point in the season.
(23:12):
But I loved the fact that youbrought us back. Thank you to
sixty six year old Chris for bringingus back to blocking and tacklin. It's
all blocking and tacklin. It remindedme of the late great Bobby Jackson,
Bear Bryant's first quarterback. He usedto be on the UAC Clanry Show with
(23:33):
some frequency in my first days hereon these radio seven ten WNTM. He's
no longer with us now, butBobby Jackson, he used to talk about
blocking and tackling. When Mike Shula, do you remember the Shula years?
The wandering in the wilderness known asthe Shula Years? The University of Alabama
(23:53):
Bobby Jackson went and visited his closefriend Mal Moore. He and Bobby were
very close, and he and Melmorewent and spent some time with coach Mike
Shula back during those horrific Shula years. And I remember he came back.
(24:19):
Bobby Jackson came back on a Monday, and I asked him. I said,
well, what did you tell him? What did you tell what'd you
tell Coach Shula? What'd you tellhim? I wanted to know what did
the great mind of Bobby Jackson, bear Bryant's first quarterback, tell Mike Shula
on how to improve Alabama's performance. And Bobby told me. He said,
(24:45):
he said, I told I toldCoach Shula to bring back the quick kick.
I said, what he said,I told him to bring back the
quick kick. So what do youmean the quick kick? He said,
well, you what you when you'rewhen you're doing this poorly on offense,
(25:07):
one way to win the battle offield position in the football game is to
start using the quick kick and startpunting on third down. Now, of
course this was not This was hardfor me to comprehend, but he explained
(25:30):
to me the quick kick punt onthird He said, if you can't if
you can't pass it, if you'reif you're struggling offense, you'll throw the
other team off guard. If youjust do a quick kick, just put
it on third. Now, Ihope that Alabama's not that bad. You
know they're gonna put in Jalen Milroeagain. He is based on what we've
(25:56):
seen it, he will likely dobetter just because it would probably be difficult
to do worse. So he'll probablydo better. But if he struggles even
worse than the first outing, thenI'm gonna make it my mission to try
and take Bobby Jackson's idea to CoachSaban and ask Coach Saban ifill incorporates them,
(26:18):
just incorporate the quick kick, throwhim off guard. There's no way
that Lane Kiffin would anticipate a thirddown. Just a quick kick. You
teach the quarterback. I'm sure JaylenMilro can punt. Do the quick kid,
catch him off guard, third down, quick kid. Anyway, We'll
(26:47):
move on to other topics when TheUncle Henry Show continues here on these Radio
seven ten WNTM. I reminder thatlast week was a wild week on The
Uncle Henry Show. Some really bizarrecalls. If you want to check out
those shows, they're all available aspodcasts on the iHeartRadio app. Just go
(27:07):
onto the iHeartRadio app, look upUncle Henry Show and you'll find those odd
shows from last week. Or ifyou don't want to use the app,
just go to news Radio seven tindot com and look into podcasts or Uncle
Henry Show. We will move intoother topics as The Uncle Henry Show continues
(27:33):
here on news Radio seven w nt M Uncle Henry Show. News Radio
(28:00):
seven ten WNTM. It is fivefifteen news headlines coming up and ten minutes
on the Uncle Henry Show, followedmore by more Uncle Henry Show. You
can slip a call in two fiveone four seven nine two seven two three.
That's two five one four seven ninetwo seven two three. Now,
(28:21):
over the course of the past severalyears, I've told the people that listen
to this show frequently, then it'sobvious to me that a lot of people
in our country just don't want toThey just have given up on reality.
They've not just given up on theirown lives, They've given up on everybody
else's life too. They've given upon reality. That's why we're seeing the
(28:45):
decriminalization and legalization of drugs all overthe country. More and more people have
just decided to just instead of accomplishingsomething, they just want to take a
drug and go into some type offantasy Alice in Wonderland type life. We've
seen it with the legal marijuana allover these places. Now you've got West
(29:06):
coast states decriminalizing LSD and psychedelic mushroomsstuff like that. That legislation in California,
I think is still wedding to besigned that would make it okay to
possess LSD and mushrooms. And Iguess whatever the cactus is that people suck
(29:32):
on and the toads people lick allthat kind of stuff. Well, I'm
bringing that up to to say,I found a news item today about a
a healing and wellness center in Oregonthat opened up in June that offers psychedelic
mushrooms to adults over the age oftwenty one. If you go to this
(29:57):
healing center, it's in an officbuilding. You go in there and the
average person stays in there for aboutsix hours. And according to the people
that run the business, when youwhen you eat their mushrooms, you see
vivid geometric shapes vivid. Now,see why that's better than reality. You
(30:29):
know, we've got beautiful things tolook at, like oceans, sunsets.
Somebody wants to go take a mushroomand look at a geometric shape in an
office building. Anyway, they takethe mushrooms, they see vivid geometric shapes,
lose their identity in the moment, and feel a oneness with the universe.
(30:55):
Now, the reason I'm even bringingthis story up is the weight list
the people that want to go dothis, and the average is like six
hours. Some people are there forlonger. They have a waitlist of more
than three thousand people. There aremore than three thousand people that have signed
up to go in there and lookat you, to see to lose their
(31:18):
identity in the moment and feel onewith the universe. I'm just I just
want to tell you that this issomething we didn't need years ago. These
people must feel like they needed didn'tneed it years ago. We lived simpler,
(31:40):
Yes, we lived in simpler times. We didn't need to eat a
mushroom in an office building and lookat a triangle and think that we're one
with the universe. We didn't haveto do that. We didn't have to
do that. In fact, backin the day, we were too tired
to even think about this. Wewere we worked hard, We had to
(32:00):
work hard throughout the day. Atthe end of the day, we were
tired. We were happy to havea chair. We were we were happy
to have a chair. And whenthey invented television, whoo, we didn't
(32:22):
need to go to an office buildingand eat a mushroom and become one with
the universe while seeing vivid geometric shapes. We didn't need it. We did
not need it. I have afeeling a lot of these people that signed
up, maybe not all of them, Maybe there's some people that really,
for whatever reason, they have somethingthat that can help them with a lot
(32:44):
of these people, if they werejust to work on a farm for a
couple of days, I'm serious,I'm not just. If they were to
work on a farm for a coupleof days and get tired, then they
wouldn't need they wouldn't feel the needto go into an office building and eat
a mushroom and look at a triangle. The further we get away, the
(33:08):
further we get away from the waywe used to live and exist on planet
Earth, the more problems crop up. And people feel like, no,
what's ailing me cannot be solved byanything other than going to a nondescript office
(33:30):
building and getting on the wait listso that I can sit in there and
eat a mushroom and start staring atthat triangle, stare at some rectangle,
hoping that the rectangle starts to looklike it's got lightning on it or something,
and eventually I'll become one with theuniverse. I think I'll just stick
(33:58):
to mowing the grass. There's moreto come after the news. On the
Uncle Henry Show, this country iswhacked out right now? Everything? What
(34:30):
is happening here? What is happeningto five country? But yeah, look
at the state of the country.Oh, because this country is is whacked
out right now. Yes it isUncle Henry Show, News Radio seven ten
w n t M. In thissegment of the show, going to listen
(34:55):
to some voicemail voice one number twofive one seven zero six boy two five
one seven zero six two eight fivefive to lead me a message on a
variety of topics. Whatever topic youwant to leave me a message on.
As long as it's not filthy,I will listen to it. Now.
(35:16):
Last week on the El Clanery showat this time. In the show,
I had long time caller snake Trapperoffered to take long time caller owl fishing
an awl In a subsequent response voicemailso that he was worried about if he
(35:37):
got bit by a poisonous snake, would snake Trapper suck the venom out of
owl? And he gave the exampleof what if a rattlesnake bit owl on
the rear end, would snake Trapperget the poison out the way they did
in the old Western movies where youwould suck on the snake bite. Now,
(36:01):
And I know that's a weird thingfor people to talk about in twenty
twenty three, Well, snake Trapperheard this and has responded. So let's
listen. Here's the snake trapper talkingabout whether or not he would suck venom
out of owl or any of us. Hey, I'm gre Henry snake Trapper.
(36:22):
Hey man, I've seen bowl said, Uh, he wouldn't go catfish
noodling with me because if he gota bit on the bottom side that I
wouldn't suck the poison. Now,and I'm gre Henry Man. I got
I got a news bulletin prowl owl. That's not the way it works,
buddy, you've been watching too manycowboy movies. You don't cut eggs on
(36:44):
it and suck the poison, now, would you do? You put some
type of tourniquet between the snake bitein your heart, and then you try
to elevate the snake bite above yourheart, and then you seek medical attention
as soon as possible. Now,now I'm sorry to pause this. So
from what you've described, it soundslike it would be very It would be
(37:06):
bad to be bit on the rearend. Not only would it hurt,
it would make the tourniquet and thewhole hard thing a little bit more difficult
than an extremity. All right, let's continue with snake trappers exciting analysis of
snake bites. But I'll tell youwhat, buddy, you would be a
(37:28):
lot safer with me and get snakebit than you would be out on your
own, because you'd probably get yourbuddy killed if you talk him into cutting
eggs in it and sucking the poisonout, because if he's got any kind
of cavity or any kind of woundin his mouth, or any kind of
gum disease where the venom could seek, you know, get into him.
(37:52):
It would kill your body away.Wait a minute, so he has gum
disease. They should not gargle withvenom, is what you're saying. You
should not take rattlesnake venom and garglewith it if you have gum disease.
See this is these are the thingsyou learn on this show. You don't
learn on other shows. Other shows. You're not talking about the the ins
(38:14):
and outs of venom in the mouthgum disease. So I'm gonna guess that
every cowboy in the Cowboy movie probablyhad some form of gum disease. I'd
love to hear how many of thesecowboys fell out from from saving their friend
from snake bite. Okay, backto the voicemail. Anyway, I'll you'd
(38:36):
be safe with me, brother,I would. I would get your buttocks
abot of your heart and get youto a hospital, my friend. But
anyway, I'll try to come upwith another excuse not to go cat and
face noodling with everybody, because thesnake bite thing don't work. And for
another reason, it wouldn't be arattler inside a inside a water or tube
(38:59):
or anything like it, or inwater, it would more likely be a
cotton mouth. So anyway, alright again, brother, I'm telling you
man, you you ain't had norush to You've reached in a hole and
grabbed me by the twenty five poundscatfish by the lip. It's exciting,
Uncle Henry. I think al wouldenjoy it, and he would probably see
(39:21):
me in a whole different way otherthan that I'm a white man is trying
to get him, snake bit.You take care of my buddy. Well,
I'm still up trying to process theidea of the thrill of grabbing a
catfish by the lip. Snake,Trevor, thank you. You give me
a lot to think about here.Thank you for your voice mail voice my
(39:43):
number two five one seven zero sixbull two five one seven zero six two
eight five five. Now let's seewe do have a call about the U
A W strike. Yes, yes, some people locally very excited at the
idea of an automaker's strike. Herey, I am so proud of the people
(40:07):
of Michigan and Ohio for standing upto corporate and this corporate greeted by Henry,
this strike right here, you knowit it's it. It's historic,
and and I think it's gonna goon for a while because these people,
you know, they they they needbusiness right here, and rightfully's so,
(40:29):
Henry, because this is just longoverdue, Henry. I mean, it's
been a long time coming, youknow. I mean, and of course
they're asking for more pay Henry, right, you know, I mean,
these people deserve to make a decentliving. And then as far as the
for they work week, I've beensaying up just all along myself, something
(40:50):
about blow in the face, youknow, a work and work and life
balance, Henry. You know,we're doing that four day work week.
And at the end of the owner, you know, when he's s the
Ford CEO owner, he said, for him though a code of these people,
(41:12):
you know, and pay them thePM, which is a decent amount
to make a decent living, theywould go bankrupt. Yeahup, hear me.
Up, that's some horsemake right there. Bankrupt. And and they're making
historic procts right now. Rock ofprofits. Are you seeing a place on
a new a new car vehicle? Now you can't get one of the fight
(41:37):
thousand? Now do you think allof that is profit? Or you do
think do you think the cost ofmaterials going into a vehicle, and the
cost of getting the material ship toyour factory. You think any of that's
gone up. Look, I'm notI'm not I'm not against anybody getting more
money, and I have no ideawhat would be the fair wage in this
(42:01):
particular back and forth between the automakersand the workers. But eventually the cost
of labor another cost adding to thevehicle. Why do you think so many
cars are not made here versus madeoverseas? Angry leftist, I would ask
(42:23):
you to step back for a momentand consider what role does the government play
in this in terms of rules andregulations in our country. Have they made
it cost too much to make carsin the United States versus in other places
like Mexico and China. The lastthing we would want is these automakers to
(42:49):
shut down here and just start makingthem elsewhere. Anyway, Voice by number

Bye Bye more Uncle Henry Show. After the break here on w nt M.
(43:14):
He's Radio seven ten w NTM,The Uncle Henry Show. You know,
finish out the show by talking alittle football with young Charlie who watched
the Jags very closely over the weekend. In fact, Charlie had to do
the pregame, halftime and postgame.Charlie did Jags won, did they not?
They did, in fact, abig win, one of the best
(43:35):
wins in program history. Went Wait, what why? Why is it one
of the best wins in program history? Well, Lunk, anytime you'd beat
a power five school, that's alwaysa good little feather in your cap.
But to go to Stillwater, Oklahoma, which has such a great tradition of
really good football, really good offensivefootball, and then hold them scoreless for
three quarters, Yeah, that's good, and then out grain them just on
(44:00):
the ground compared to what they didwith their entire offense, that's pretty sweet.
Anytime you can do something like that, Tell me about Tell me how
the Jags looked. Honestly, Unk, it was a really good game offensively
and defensively. That'd being said.South Alabama may have one of the best
running backs in the nation in LadamianWeb. So get this. He is
(44:22):
a short guy. He's only likefive foot seven, so you know you
and him are going to stand rightabout the same height. He's about two
hundred ten pounds soaking wet. Heran for eight and a half yards to
carry wow, sixteen carries with twotouchdowns, including a big sixty four yard
or to put the game away.Jags had an awesome game defensively as well.
(44:45):
Like I said, held the Cowboysscoreless for three quarters, which by
the way, had not been doneto them by a group of five opponent
this decade. Held him scoreless forthe first half, first time that had
happened since twenty and twenty versus theUniversity of Texas. It was just a
great game all around for South Alabama. Are people calling for the other coach
(45:08):
to lose his job, that's notThat's how you know you did a really
good job. If the other teamwas looking to make a change. You
know, Mike Gundy has been therefor over ten years. I think he
has a lot more leeway. Therewere some nice moments with quarterbacks of the
opposing team getting booed, okay, which you never want to hear because you
know they are just kids playing agame. But at the point they feel
(45:28):
so badly about their quarterback going backonto the field against your defense, it
does warm your heart a little bit. Okay, all right, now tell
me more about this running back what'shis name again, Ledamian Webb. Now
you described him as possibly one ofthe best in the country. Describe his
running style. You know, unche does a little bit of everything.
He's got great sideline to sideline burstspeed, He's really good running between the
(45:53):
tackles. And what really stood outhe had several carries this past weekend where
he was, you know, legsspread wide, duck down over his knees,
getting a center of gravity level, and then he's waiting for his blocks
to develop in front of him sothen he can explode. Yeah, and
look, eight and a half yardsof carry is monster numbers reinforced by that,
(46:15):
you know, sixty four yard runI mentioned. But La Damien's just
an awesome back. He broke mostof the school's single season rushing records last
year in his first year with theprogram, and you can only expect him
to do more of that this year. He is a great guy. And
you know, one thing that hereally said that stood out to me in
the post game was he came overhe starts talking about, you know what
(46:37):
this means for the city of Mobileto have a win like this. So
he is a guy who not onlyis a great athlete, he's a great
ballplayer. He's very cognizant of wherehe is, the program he's in,
and what South Alabama's doing to buildtheir profile around Mobile, which is really
cool to see. He's a smartkid. That is nice to hear.
So when I asked you to describethe type of runner he was, you
(46:59):
could you come up with a comparisonto some legendary pro. Legendary pro,
I would say Emmett Smith. He'sgot that grittiness to him, He's got
that IQ every time he touches theball, and he's got fantastic speed.
He is so quick once he getsinto open space. When I think of
him at Smith, I think ofgigantic thighs. Does this young man have
(47:22):
gigantic thighs where he cannot wear ordinaryclothing because his thighs are too big?
He needs extracised thighs and his breeches. You know, Uncle, I've not
seen La Damien that much outside ofathletic clothing, so I'm not sure if
he can't wear other types of clothes. Is a well built guy, though
you can tell he spends his timein the weight room. Okay, all
right, Well, fantastic. Goodto hear that University of South Alabama Jags
(47:45):
had a great win, not justa win, but a great win that
is shaken the other team to itscore. Now, did you see the
Alabama victory over the weekend? Idid. I got to watch the majority
of that game up here waiting forthings to get going underway, and of
course, as we were kind ofgoing through all of our stuff, I
keep a loose eye on it,out of the back of out of the
(48:07):
back corner of my eye. Anythoughts, There's been a lot of moaning
and groaning about the Alabama Crimson Tide. We got word today that Jaylen Milroe
is the guy going forward. Wasthere any doubt about that after this past
weekend? Any thoughts, Young Charlieon what you saw from the Alabama Crimson
Tide roll time row. You know, I think that watched exactly like a
(48:27):
game where Nick Saban was saying tothe fans, this is what happens when
you coached the team, right.I mean, let's go back to a
couple of calls you showed me fromlast week that we talked about on my
Saturday show. Yeah, Yeah, fans were callers to my show were they
were ready to get rid of Saban. They were ready to get rid of
Saban. And one comment that bothof the calls you showed me had in
there was, oh, Jaylen Milrowwas just terrible. You know, we
(48:51):
need to be starting one of theseother kids. J Yeah, clearly.
Not like if you take look, how many games do you see where Alabama
win on ten completions? R Thatis a rarity, quite quite the rarity.
Yes, the passing game was miserable, and it was basic execution,
and not just that it was basicpocket feel. It was you know,
(49:15):
it just wasn't a good game forAlabama. But it was better than a
lot of people think. And Ithink the problem was the quarterback spot,
and Nick Saban proved that by saying, don't second guess my judgment with this.
Okay, all right, well we'regonna talk more about this, of
course as the week goes on.Charlie, thank you for your observations on
the Jags and on Alabama. Thanks. You can hear young Charlie on ninety
