Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well week number two with b Dub b Dub sitting
in for Thoor once again this week, and there is
a big debate going on right now in the fantasy
world when it comes to questionable players.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
It's time to review your fantasy team down.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Commissioners, It's time guy for fantasy freaking football. Well, Dub,
how did your fantasy week go? Do you have a
successful week this week?
Speaker 2 (00:33):
I actually did?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Oh good?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
That one? Three of my four leagues.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
You're in four leagues. I think you're only in three.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
No family end up doing one.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
So I think I'm have everybody, like everybody in the
league going at one point.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Pretty much, which is fun when you score.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
However, I feel like I always end up like the
biggest guys this year are the guys I'm always facing.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, so obviously timing is three.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Of my four teams I went against jt On to Taylor,
Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
That's awful.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
And that's like you're waking up to where watching the game.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
What the yeah, what the f It's like fifty points.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
That was brutal.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
I don't he's got to be the fantasy MVP at
this point right.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Well, it's almost like it was it three years ago
where he just was scoring touchdown after touchdown. Then they
had that kind of the year who was banged up,
and then last.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Year he sat outright, held out or whatever. But yeah,
I mean he's back. He's fully back. I mean we
should should have been smarter about this going into the season,
but I mean, he was a late first rounder for
most draft guys, but turns out he's like the stud,
he's the main guy.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I think it's just because the unknown, right, Shan Sikin's
been there for a couple of years, but gone back
to old face Daniel Jones.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
You kind of didn't You didn't know what to expect
out of the Colts, right, But Jonathan Taylor's They're consistent
and he has been amazing this year. So yeah, that's
bad timing if you end up playing against Jonathan Taylor.
I've been pretty lucky when it comes to uh like matchups.
So I've been having a pretty good successful fantasy year
most of my leagues, and a lot of it is timing,
a lot of it is luck. So I this week
(02:05):
in one of our leagues, the league that Thorn and
I are in with his buddies, I was the guy.
I'm playing against has Jonathan Taylor, but he's on a
bye this week, so I lucked out. So it's like
that kind of stuff is great, you know when it
works out for you. Then there are times like with
you you're always.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Having to face like them, and you know, I always
say it, so sometimes I'm not. But I never go
and say, Oh, I don't have to face so and
so this week. But that can happen, but it does.
I feel like sometimes you have the luck of the
year and you're like, Oh, I didn't have to face
so and so, and I have to face so and so.
I feel like this year I've had to face everyone's I.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Had one of those a couple of weeks ago. I
talked about it on the Fantasy Show where I was
playing a guy. I was like, Oh, I'm going to
destroy this guy because he had to randomly play a
couple of guys like that that fourth receiver from Denver
who went off, and then RJ Harvey he finally has
a big game, like that week I finally played Denver
and you're like, wait, what happened? Like they hadn't done
(02:57):
anything all year long, and then all of a sudden,
of course against me, they go off and I lose
the game, So it does happen. I had a pretty
good week. I won two out of our three leagues,
and which was kind of a surprise because I have
Josh Allen and he's my go to man. Like that guy.
If he has a bad week, I'm gonna have a
bad week. He's like kind of my star.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
He's like a guaranteed nine did twelve points of just
throwing and or a running touchdown?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Oh oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
So he's probably always a twenty point minimum for sure.
And if he's not, then you're in trouble. Then you're
in trouble. And the team is like the Buffalo Bills,
don't are just.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
They live and die by Hi. Yeah absolutely, and so yes,
so do I. So does my team. And so he
actually he had one of his worst games all year,
but still put up points because he threw a touchdown.
He threw for over three hundred yards.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
You know.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Of course he had the interception and a fumble, which hurts,
but overall it wasn't terrible and so you know, thankfully
I was able to squeak out wins here and there,
and I had ceedee lamb in a couple of my
leagues and he was on a buy. So I was
very thankful that I was able to pull out a
couple of wins. Last week my third team just nobody
showed up for me, you know in that one. So
(04:08):
that one was tough. And I had to make a
late minute change at Kicker because I have Kyrie Fairbairn
from Houston, and he was like a random late scratch
all the blue and I was like, whoa, what happened here?
And so I had to pick up somebody and I
was like, who am I going to pick up? And
I went with Prader on the bills, who got me
one point?
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:27):
One point?
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Well, see you didn't have to really face you didn't
have fair Baron or whatever his name is, Kaymie. Yeah,
but they read before he had like sixteen points and
I faced him.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Oh see yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
I mean so it's like it's that's why, like sometimes
that's the one thing about Fancy nobody cares about it.
Like I love that there's all these memes and people
don't want to hear about when you're doing well, but
people could sympathize with you when they're actually struggling.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
That's kind of what this show is is where Misery
Loves Company. Yeah, and so you know, when we talk
about these, you know, random hurts and losses that you get,
people can relate. And so that's what the success of
the show partially is. So one other thing I wanted
to bring up with you is something that has been
going on in one of our leagues, but it really
is a problem in most fantasy right now. I don't
(05:11):
know what happened, but this is specifically Yahoo, and I
don't know if ESPN or the other leagues do this
or not. They've changed the policy on who you can
put on injured reserve who you can I are and
I don't understand it because it is brutal. And so
if you have an IR spot, that's great, you know,
I mean, it is helpful, especially if you guys like
(05:31):
you have Bucky Irving. I don't know what the hell
is going on with Bucky Irving, Like I thought he
was going to be out for a week, and it's
been how long six weeks or something like five or
six weeks.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
And so the way that the Yahoo's changed their policy,
you cannot IR somebody if they're questionable, and now they're
in the week during the week, right, and so you
know if you get ruled out. Once you get ruled out,
then you can put them on It's only ninety minutes
before kickot, right, which is insane, And so what do
you do? So you can't put anybody on IR if
they're just questionable, even doubtful. You can't put them on
(06:03):
IR for doubtful.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Right, Well, doubtfield doesn't really exist as much anymore, right, well,
very minimal doubtful.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
And I even looked it up online.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
They were saying, how it's not that there's less than
normal before, but questionable since probable's gone questionable, is is
kind of the fact that one.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
It's the new doubtful.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Well, although which randomly this week Garrett Wilson is listed
as doubtful and I'm like, well, what I know he's out.
He's not supposed to play for like four weeks, right,
So I'm like, wait, why not just make him out?
Like I don't understand it. So it is a major
problem now that guys are being listed as questionable and
you can't IR them, so you can't make any moves.
(06:40):
I don't know what's gonna happen, but they got to
change this rule it's brutal.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Well, it's interesting where they went to getting rid of
probable last year. And so I've just recently read about
this because it affects you in one of our leagues, right,
and it's.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Because been a lot of complaining.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, it's because the unknowns.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
You're picking guys up, and if you leave extra roster
spots for that simple then you have to go and
you have to police people for adding guys when they
should be letting him go. So the hardest part was,
and this kind of came up in our league, was
Buck Irvin, who was my second pick, and again it
was a points only league. So again you can tell
how good my team is when I have Justin Jefferson
and Bucky Irvin is my first two picks. I think
that's combined three touchdowns this year so far. And with
(07:16):
that said, is Buck Irvin's been out for four consecutive
weeks going in this past week. Well, I was able
to ir him on game day to pick up another guy.
The reality is you're just picking up like who's left
of the scrubs and hoping you catch fire. It worked
out for me like when I that's how I originally
got Rico Dawdle. So originally that's how it kind of
worked out. This past weekend, I had game Well still,
(07:37):
who hadn't scored anything for those first couple of weeks.
I'm like, why do I summon my roster? So I
ended up cutting him and pick up that cal Manunge
or whatever, the guy from the Bears from the Bears
who happened to score a touchdown. But I still had
Irvin in there the whole time because they said he
was going to probably play.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
I don't even know if he even got in.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
No, I don't think he played, but.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
I don't know why they did in ir him, because
you get it's four weeks. He's missed four weeks anyway,
So I know they don't give a rip about us
fantasy players, but your handcuffs are tied all week long
because if technically you're questionable, you can't just write them
on the instant, you know, on the injury reserve.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
You can't make another move until they come on right.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
It is annoying. So I know a lot of people
are dealing with that too. We are as well. It's garbage,
and so yeah, who's got to fix that?
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Man?
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Absolutely no, Absolutely, something else that came up from last
week and I confirmed this with Jamie.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
We did a little trill and air. You have the email.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Fff oh at Rock one of five three dot com
and fantasy football Fantasy freaking Football at Rock when it
it's in the process of being worked out, So yeah,
we will make sure you absolutely.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Oh okay, well that's kind of cool.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
So we're talking about going back to two thousand and six.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
That f f F at rockwal five three dot com. Wow,
I haven't heard that in a long time. Of course,
you can email us your questions every week. I guess
you can. We email us at that or just our
regular email addresses, or should be back next week. We're
not really sure yet. No, I don't know what's going on, okay,
Or you can hit us up on X at the show,
Eddie at the show, thor or what's your do you
(09:04):
remember what your ex is?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Btubs, I'm at.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Something like that. Yeah, okay, there you go.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
All right, let's get to your questions that we got
going on starts and sits and stuff like that. This
question is a very interesting one because I think it's crazy.
Who do I start this week at quarterback? Josh Allen
versus Tampa or Jared Goff versus Philly. That's a no
brainer to me. I don't care if Josh Allen has
a good week, bad week, whatever. He is a must
(09:35):
start every single week in fantasy. He is the number
one scorer in Fantasy. You don't ever sit Josh Allen.
And it's not like Tampa is you know, Tampa of old.
I mean, Tampa's doesn't have this amazing defense. And Jared
Goff may have a good game against Philly. It may
be the running game though. You just don't know. So
this this is even a question for you.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
The only time I would maybe ever really dig deep
into this is if somehow it was gonna be one
of those snow games in Buffalo and everyone can be
able to move the ball.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
He had some injuries and whatnot.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
But you're right even then.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
But when you look at I just flip it on
real quick and you just look at a Fantasy pros
they have Josh Allen a A plus rating and Josh
and Goff Like I see, but Goff, these are the
kind of games he rises to the occasion. He's starting
to utilize his weapons more. The oppens coordinator him are
starting to get you.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Know, clicked in Campbell's calm plays.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Now, Yeah, I'm not gonna go and take GoF through
over Josh Allen. Like I said, the only way I'm
never not playing Josh Allen is if he's on a
buy or.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
You're not gonna snow game, I might still play.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
I might even say I can beat that person with
Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
No doubt, flex spot question Juwan Jennings versus Arizona or
David Montgomery versus Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
So they're gonna have to pound the rock. Jamier Gibbs
got to go in a little bit. Then they kind
of gave him a little bit. Well, then they gave
my Gery his touches after that.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Right, he used to be a big touchdown vulture, but
now Gibbs is sort of getting all the he's.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
A little bit younger.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
I think he's a little bit more dynamic, a little
more Speedbers that you know is at the Sonic and Knuckles. Yeah,
and Juwan jenningso like, I think Mac Jones is doing
an admirable job. I think he's a gamer. He's playing
hurt where he's at, Well everybody's hurt, but even it's
gonna affect my a little bit later. I mean, I
I don't know if he's utilizing the passing game as
(11:15):
well as he probably could, or if a pretty was there,
And it might be his injuries, it might be just
the lack of confidence he has, maybe some of the
offensive linement at times because he's getting hit a lot.
I'm leaning towards Montgomery on this one because I think
Philadelphia is going to be a grind him out type
of game.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Yeah. I kind of wish I knew if it was
PPR or not. If it was PPR, I would probably
say go with Juwan. Juan found the end zone finally
again last weekend.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
But didn't you think he'd have a much bigger year
this year?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Yes, well, he asked for more money, right, you're gonna
ask for what. He's been banged up too, you know.
According to him, he's got like seventeen broken ribs and
everything else under the sun. But still, I did expect
more out of him, especially with purs All out and
things like that. He's kind of the only guy.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yeah, Persall has been an utter disappointment to stay crazy.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Yeah, So again, if it's PPR, I give the slight
edite Jennings in that one again and a wide receiver
question ted McMillan versus Atlanta or Zay Flowers versus Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
I'm anti Cleveland everything I know. Judy finally did a
couple of things last week that was of course, after
I drop him, right, I should pick them up the
Uh So I'm out on Za Flowers. I mean he
got nicked up in the game last game. Anyway, I
guess I go the other direction.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Cleveland has a great defense, they really do.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Yeah, but Atlanta, like I talked about this last week,
their secondary is actually better. They gave up what we
said was gonna happen. They ran the ball over him.
Their secondary they kind of like you know, uh, they
held Michael Pittman. I think they're just one or two
catches for ten yards or something like real minimal piercedon
do a whole lot. Their secondary is better, So I'm
I'm probably going the other day.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
McMillan. Uh see for me, he's too up and down
like he's a rookie and so you never know what
you're gonna do. This could be an up week.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Cleveland's defense does scare me off. I'd give a slight
edge to say hours but again, it just depends.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Ze Fowers is one of those guys because he's he's
a that division type of wide receiver that comes in
with all this haralded you know, kind of a claim
and they just never really get, you know, like the
Baltimore receivers are the Pittsburgh receivers. I think it's that
division and general outside of the Bengal guys, right, I
think a lot of them play the same.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Say's okay, he's good for like, you know, five catches
fifty yards almost every game, but you want more out
of your number one wide receiver obviously, and he doesn't
find the end zone very much. That's the thing that
kills yet.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Well, that's the fun part is when Cleveland gets down,
then they just start throwing the rock because they're not
gonna be able to run it, and then there's a
chance for some of those big plays.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah, for Baltimore. This question says, hey, guys, I have
a flex question for you in PPR. My options are
Tony Pollard or Jamison Williams. It is PPR. Tony Pollard
seems to be like they're kind of phasing him out
a little bit. He hasn't been doing much as of late,
where it's the opposite for Jamison Williams, where he was
quiet for most of the year. Last week it was like,
(13:58):
I don't know if he said something Dan Campbell or whatever,
but they were clearly feeding him the rock. I mean
they were trying to get him.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
It came three weeks ago right where the AVNS coordinary
came out and said we're gonna started the ball. That's
on us, right and then it didn't really happen that
first game back, but then you saw it start to
happen last week was crazy. The reverses, you know, which
is kind of always been part of his game because
he has electric ability.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Jameson Williams for me.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yeah, me too. I agree. Always love a good trade
question and says trade deadline is next week. Got offered
a deal one to see what you guys think. Uh,
they send me Javonte Williams for Courtland Sutton. My running
backs are weaker than my wide receivers. But I'm in
a good spot right now. Not sure if I want
to make any changes. I mean, I I if you're
(14:42):
gonna give me Davonte Williams, who's having a big year
for Dallas for Courtland Sutton who I mean, he's had
a couple of big games, but it's not like he's
blown up fantasy. I would take Davonte Williams all day.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yes, and again it depends on your depth, sure, and
what you need. I would be leaning on Williams, who's
had a really good year. Oh yeah, And ironicallydown team
is Denver, which is kind of funny in that, but
Sutton is a is the premier guy there, number one,
but they seem to be going to Franklin an awful lot.
I mean, Bnix likes him, Evan Ingram really hasn't gotten
(15:16):
the mix, and then they have a couple of those
other wide receivers. I'm surprised Denver didn't trade for anything
down the trade deadline in the NFL, because if they
gave him another wide receiver that was a little bit
more dynamic and it stretched the field, I think that
would help them out of the bit.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
I'm taking Javonte Williams.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Oh, without a doubt. This isn't even a question, especially
if his running backs are weaker.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
But Courtland Sutton will have one or two more big
games and you're gonna be like, oh crap.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
But if you can consistent, you know, points out of
Javante who he's been great all year long. I mean,
he guy finds the ends almost every single game. I'm
making that trade. It's not I'm not even hesitating in that.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
I mean, right now, Javonte Williams, I was looking at
seeing where he's at. He's a top ten running yes,
which is shocking. Yeah, and right now Courton Sullon is
not a top ten wide.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
No, I don't. I think this is an easy call.
I'm making that deal one hundred percent. All right, let's
get to our starts and sits for the week. At quarterback.
Who's your start this week? Beat up?
Speaker 3 (16:05):
I'm going coming off a bye week, they're playing in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I'm going Dak Prescott. You know, he's had a really
good year this year.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
He got pickings going and again I think over his career,
part of it's the whole America's team.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
And the spotlight being on you know, Jerry and the.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Two big brands going out on Monday Night football.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
I think Dak Prescott though, for not having as many
expectations going on him this year with the trade of
Parsons before the season. Where it's at is actually played
pretty well. I agree, he did have a great game
a couple weeks ago. But I mean I do think
coming off the buy is going to help them out.
I mean, Oakland's a mess right now. Vegas or yeah, Vegas, Yeah,
well I'm doing what people do with San Diego. Okay, yeah, yes,
(16:44):
absolutely loves Vegas is a mess. I think, you know,
Pete Carroll might be one and done.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
I agree. Uh, And you know the thing. The thing
about Dak is he was in the MVP conversation just
as you know, like two weeks ago, and so you
know he's kind of fallen out of that a little bit,
especially with Stafford and Drake May and stuff like that
have in big years. But yeah, Prescott could definitely easily
go off. My start this week is a guy that
has kind of come down to earth. His team is
(17:09):
showing it. They didn't look that great, especially on what
was it, Monday night or Sunday night?
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Everything?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
It was Monday night. Jordan love with the Packers. I
think he rebounds. They got to they got to figure
this out. They got to turn it around. They're taking
on the giants. Who you see it, you may get
a little bit of a spark with the Giants. Whenever
you make a change at the top, you're gonna you
could see a little bit of a spark. I don't
really see it. I mean they're now they're starting Jamis Winston,
and I don't know what the heck that team is doing.
(17:35):
They're a mess. Thorable would agree. And so I think
the Packers are probably gonna boat race these guys. They
have to. If they don't, I don't, Packers may be done. Yeah,
I mean they were. They were talking to you know
a few weeks ago that there were Super Bowl contenders
and this and that. Jordan Loves definitely come back down
to earth. Obviously, it stinks that he's lost his tight
end and things like that, but he's got to have
a good game, and so I imagine he's a good start
(17:57):
this week for me.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
As soon's your it, Jordan Love?
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Oh wait a minute, yes, how can that be?
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Well I looked at it. He's had ten points or
less than two straight games.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Uh, you know, finishing twenty fourth overall thirty two quarterbacks.
Watching that game, it was not that he was just bad.
He had the fumble as well that he got punched out,
and then it was the body language and you remember
it was a little bit of that early in his
career because you know whether he was going to get
the opportunity to actually be the guy, and then he had.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
He jumped on the scene, he threw the ball. Well.
He was awful lot though.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
He reminded me a lot of like watching Josh Fields,
like everything was high.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
He was justin justin.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Fields, Josh is a little bit and so like you know,
watching watching these guys, you know, you kind of just
watch their mannerisms.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
He didn't look like a leader.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
He didn't look confident, and that made me start to
kind of second guess him. The other part is Jacobs
is such a good running back. But they were putting
eight guys in that box and like you can tell
they're still I mean, how many times were they still
run the ball on first and second down? You can
tell they did not want to pass the Jordan who
told me a lot about where.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
One game bro rebound game.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
You said every reason why.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
When I was sitting here at the second, you were
saying all the reasons why it should make sense.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
I'm saying, it's go prove it to me. I'd be nervous.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
I like, if I have another quarterback, because if I
drafted Jordan Love, I probably drafted someone comparable around him.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah. I saw him get dropped in one of my leagues.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Yeah, I would probably play that other guy over him
this week.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Okay, my sit This week is a game that we
were talking about early. You mentioned you think it's gonna
be a grinded out game. I kind of agree with you.
I don't like Jared Goff this week. I actually think
they is going to be a big running game. It's
going to be a lot on Saquon, It's going to
be a lot on Gibbs in Montgomery. So I actually
think Jared Goff isn't going to have a huge game
(19:39):
that we're kind of getting used to seeing. Goff has
been great and that's home in Philly, right, I believe. So.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah, so it's a little bit different dynamic when they're
not in the church.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Door set running back. Who's your start?
Speaker 2 (19:48):
I would with Jalen Warren Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I agree that's mine too, is it? Yeah? Well, you
look at it, it just makes a lot of sense.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
It does, And I mean you kind of look at
how bad Aaron Rodgers played.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
He looked like terrible.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
As my dad said, and who's you know, he's biggeran
Roger fan, and my dad's been over the time. He
looked like he mailed it and he's just like trying
to collect the paycheck is forty million.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
He wants to move on, like, hey, if breaks here
trying to win. Yeah, but they're not.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
He's not as dynamic, and so that puts so much
more pressure on them. If they can get the run going,
it sets up the play action where he's so good.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
And look at who they're playing. Yeah, Cincinnati one of
the worst defenses maybe of all time. They're they're atrocious.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
This could be a high scoring game because that's one
thing the Bengals do do is they score a lot
of points.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Sure, and they give up a lot of points. Right,
So yeah, I like Darreel Jalen Warren as well. Who's
your sit?
Speaker 3 (20:35):
I went with you, Cory Krossky Merritt Bill. I went
with Bill, And that's simply not because of him. It's
because of right now with Washington as well as at times.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
The backup has played at.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
Uh Mark you Rodriguez and you have.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
The start of the backup quarterback to Beagles. Mario.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
I wanted to say I was gonna say to us,
it is just soapoddy, you're really sick Polynesian quarterbacks Tuatsa
Sopo's is nothing close to Mariota.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
But Mariota is serviceable and.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Has done a couple of good things, but that's not
what makes that offense go. They need to getting out
of the pocket, being dynamic, and that's just not gonna
be him right now.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
I said two weeks ago with Thor that I'm done
with Crossky Merritt. I don't think he has it. I
know that he was kind of a fun pickup and
a lot of people were excited about him, but if
you watch him, they don't. They don't have any running game, nothing,
nothing's working there in Washington. So I agree with you.
My sit is a guy that is completely lost in
the shuffle. Now. He was the guy when Aaron Rodgers
(21:36):
was out. Now Jordan Mason is down to like three
to four touches a game. And I don't really get
it because to me, Jordan Mason is a better back
than Aaron Jones. Yep, But Aaron Jones is now getting
all the playing time, he's getting all the touchdowns, he's
getting everything, and I'm like, I don't really. I don't
know what they're doing in Minnesota, and it's starting to
show like they're they're not playing very well, and so
(21:58):
I'm confused at what Kevin O'Connell's doing there. You have
a pretty dynamic back in Jordan Mason. I get Aaron
Jones as the VET, but to me, you can use
him as a third down back or whatever things like that.
I like Jordan Mason more, but he's not getting any
touches now.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, I agree with you. I have on one of
my teams. You saw him emerging coming from San Francisco.
You know he has you know something, Aaron Jones has
lost a little bit off his fence.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
He was playing well when Jones was out, and that's.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
What I'm saying, he was playing well.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
I don't know if it's more of just going back
to the veteran and they're gonna use him and then
they're going to like start like kind of like bringing
in Mason and Spurts. Part of that is too, you
have such a young quarterback. Maybe O'Connell's trying to like
kind of offset that with like a maybe more of
a veteran type honting back compared to Mason, I don't know.
But Minnesota, it's like you really question, like right now,
where they're at, how far they've fallen by losing Sam Darnold.
(22:47):
And I think McCarthy's gonna have a bright future. I
mean he's still only twenty two years old. I mean
people forget that he was he had to sit last
year and observed by Osmos as a twenty one year old.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
But I mean he's still only twenty two.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
But man, Minnesota was arguably the best team in the
NFL last year for most.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Of the season.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
I know, wide receiver, who's your start?
Speaker 3 (23:06):
I went with Stefan Diggs taken for New England. They're
gonna be facing the Jets. No Sauce Gardner there. The
other part of that is at the last seven games,
five times he got over ten points. He's been kind
of a go to. He hadn't scored a long touchdown.
I don't know if you saw it, and if you're
watching red Zone, he finally scored and did his dance
and did his whole thing. Now he's kind of in
the mix. It's not just Boute, it's him. You have
(23:26):
Hunter Henry. I really like Drake manav told you I'm
really high on him, but Stefan Diggs I think has
a big game.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
My start is a guy that was definitely on the
trading block. He didn't end up going anywhere, but you
can see when he plays well, the team does well.
I'm going with Jalen Waddle, and the reason why I'm
taking Dolphin is normally I probably wouldn't although a chan
is having an outstanding season, Jalen Wattle, you're taking on
a commander's team that can't stop anybody. I mean, I
(23:52):
don't know what I mean. It's weird how far they
have fallen. I mean, they look like one of the
worst teams in football, so does Miami at times. But
I mean, at least you know, two can sling it.
When Jalen wattles involved in the offense, they actually look
pretty good and they beat the Bills, and so I
gotta imagine Jalen Wattle is going to continue to see
the ball.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
I have him on a couple of teams, and You're right,
you would think that somehow he wouldn't be able to
make plays. That guy has been a gamer, and I'm
surprised that Menace Miami didn't trade him because they could
have got something good back or return. It maybe just
shows you how good they think they could still build
around him as they probably turn over this team this
out coming off season.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Who's just sit?
Speaker 3 (24:29):
I went with somebody that's gonna surprise him be xavier' Worthy.
He's a guy that you know, like he's sexy. He's
the Kansas City Pat Mahomes is having an amazing season.
Dudes only scored over ten points once this season. I mean,
if you look at a lot, how well that's Rice
coming back? Kelsey is still in the mix. You have
you know obviously, uh Hollywood Brown?
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah? Was it Noah Gray? Who's at the tight end?
Speaker 1 (24:53):
I think so?
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
I mean he's actually catching past the times the running
backs aren't really that great. But you look at his
last couple of weeks Jackson eight point one, Detroit nine
point six, Las Vegas six point three, Washington seven point eight,
Buffalo four point five. This is a premier receiver supposedly,
but again we've seen this before with some of these guys.
When you have a quarterback that will go and mix
in ten different receivers, he's just not getting the touches.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Yeah, that makes sense. I'm gonna stay in that same game.
But I'm going on the other side. I'm gonna sit
Troy Franklin. You know, I just I have a feeling
that this game is gonna be a little bit lower
scoring game. You know, you got two pretty good defenses
going on there, Kansas City. Everybody's writing them off. Everybody's like, oh,
you know know, Denver clearly is gonna win that division maybe,
(25:38):
but Kansas City is still Kansas City. They rise to
the occasion, and I think they're they're actually gonna win
this game. And I think that Denver is gonna struggle
on offense. So I don't like Troy Franklin.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Well, Franklin seems to be explosive, he's got quicks, but
he said two balls bounce off his hands to turning
interceptions as well.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
That's not good.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
That's not good. So you're not gonna win over your
quarterback if you can't catch the ball, definitely not tight end.
Who's your start? So I went with right now, going
back to Jalen Hurt, not looking right, Jalen Hurt, going
back to Dallas Goddard, you know, kind of getting back
on track. You see him's starting to pick up his catches.
He's had a couple of good backup weeks.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
In a row. Again, he'll have the big week.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
We're gonna score a two touchdowns. We talked about that.
I think fundamentally Philadelphia right now has to reset. I
mean the way that they're using Barkley, I kind of
almost feel like they're idling through the season. They're not
being as dynamic as they could be. They haven't figured
out aj Brown. Vonte Smith was used a lot more
last week. But this is the week Dallas Goddard gets
them back on track against Detroit. They're gonna have to
(26:35):
like move the ball down the field and move the chains.
He's the guy to do it.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
It makes sense. My start is a guy who's definitely
picked it up. As of late. I wasn't really sure
how they were gonna look with Davis Mills in at quarterback.
But Dalton Schultz has came out of you know, really
nowhere the last few weeks, scoring touchdowns things like that Houston.
What an incredible comeback win against Jacksonville. I think that
(26:57):
is momentum is going to carry over to this week
taking on Tennessee. Who we know what Tennessee is, so
I imagine that Houston's gonna have a big game again. And
I like Dalton Schultz this week. Who's your sit?
Speaker 3 (27:07):
You're not gonna like this? Oh, and I'm going with
a guy I have who George Kittle?
Speaker 1 (27:11):
How dare you?
Speaker 2 (27:12):
And you know what you're like? Probably Brian? What are
you talking about?
Speaker 3 (27:15):
He had eighteen point nine points last week against the Rams,
nine catches, targets, Yes, but the three previous games two targets,
five targets, four targets. Hadn't done anything really with mac
Jones yet. And I think playing against Arizona, they're gonna
run the ball. I think MCA, I mean, McCaffrey is
starting to look like old McCaffrey. And I don't know
if he's gonna have to he's gonna.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Be a blocker.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Well, he's been carrying the team absolutely their biggest offensive one.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
So I just don't see this being a game or
they're gonna need him to be as dynamic.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
And I don't know if it's the mac Jones effect,
but I do think if Perdy comes back all of a
sudden're gonna see Kittle get better. I just think right now, obviously,
coming off a big week, I think he has a
down week.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
My sit this week is a guy who has been
had a pretty good season so far. But as you
see that, they can go in a few different directions.
I don't like the rounds Harold fannin junior this week
because you have Ndjoku there too, who who can catch
touchdowns as well, and just the Browns offense in general
is pretty terrible.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Who's starting a quarterback this week?
Speaker 1 (28:12):
He's still dying games? I don't know, but yeah, Baltimore,
you've seen Baltimore is turning around there. They have to
win otherwise their season could be over. So they're winning
these games and they're starting to play much better, and
you just kind of knew this was going to happen
that Baltimore wasn't done. You know, if they're one and
five and they weren't, why.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Aren't they giving the ball to Derrick Henry?
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Yeah? I don't know. Maybe again there.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
They lost, Yeah, are they trying to like see if
I mean, you're so you're so deep in the hole
at this point you gotta go win.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
But they're still winning games.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Yeah, the difference being Lamar Jackson being back.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yeah, So I do think that Baltimore is going to
take care of the Browns, and I just don't imagine
har Fan and Junior is gonna have a big game
that that's where my sid is at this week. All right,
hopefully you're gonna go out there and get a win
for yourself
