I don't know if you've heard this yet, but you
need to be prepared. Think about I twenty six, two
forty trying to get around downtown Ashville. CNN has named

us the number three best spot to visit.

town in twenty twenty five.

In twenty twenty five to visit. So more of them
are coming, locals, isn't this.

hate traffic, h I really hate getting cut off on
I twenty six as people are trying to get out
of the right hand lane at Longschal's Road to get
back onto the highway.

I really hate getting cut off what I'm trying to
get onto two forty from twenty six and people are
in the far left, and I'm like, oh no, I
need to go right like especially this day and age,
because we all have GPS's and your GPS will recalculate
if you miss an exit. That's what I think about.

You can't help that we are under construction right now.
Our roads already are the worst.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
But on the flip side, I do want our businesses
that were highly affected by Helene Yeah to get all
the love and money in the world. Absolutely so it
is a catch twenty two for me.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I read this morning Asheville Downtown Association posted this. If
every US family were to spend ten dollars a month
at a local business, that is nine point three billion
dollars that would go back into our economy.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
They want ever US family to come here and spend
ten dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Sure, why not. We're in the top three. Could you
imagine how much money that would bring Ashville? And listen
to this. I mean, we have we have the Bill
Moore House, Lucky Us, and then we have the James
Beard Award winning chefs like Ashley Shanty of Good Hot
Fish Downtown Ashville. She just won a James Beard award.

We have amazing chefs in Ashville.
