Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Dan Capless and welcome to today's online podcast

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Senator, you've misstated some facts.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I have read from the parole file which you have
said you don't recall. Don't have you mis cited. I'm
reading from it. It is right here, and I've just
pursued it to the speech and debate clause. I have
just read it into the record. And the reason is
you have lied repeatedly to Congress and to the American

(00:41):
people about this. They deserve to know, and the only
way they're going to know is if I tell them.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
I've just told them it's in the record now.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I've read it verbatim from the parofile verbatim.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
I just want to know, why did you change your
story so often?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Why didn't you just answer honestly to Congressman Bishop and
Senator Brett.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Senator, I am confidence that justice will be vindicated in
the criminal prosecution of the case.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Well, hopefully he'll get more of a trial than you
got otherwise, there'll be no justice for anyone at all.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
Senator Josh Holly at his level best, which is the
usual for him in these settings. Alejandro Maorcus skipping out
on a hearing on the in a Senate along with
Christopher Ray will soon be former director of the FBI,
hopefully Cash Patel is named in that role, and anybody
but Alejandro Maorcus in the role of Department for Homeland Security.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
I have to say his face whenever I go to
the airport.

Speaker 6 (01:36):
DIA and they're giving you kind of the four to
one one on travel in the United States, and here's
Alejandra Maorcus and his trustworthy face and voice on all
of this.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Of course, I.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Mean, it's just an absolute debacle and embarrassment. The Biden
administration is limping to the finish line here between November
fifth and January twentieth, when the Trump administration, when Donald
Trump himself will be sworn in and then his nominees
for his cabinet will be going through the Senate confirmation process.

(02:09):
Can't wait for Tom Holman, and this again hit close
to home. If you might have seen on Fox News
or reported here locally about a fourteen year old daughter
of an employer raped by a Venezuelan illegal alien in
this country, again under specious means, and they remain in Mexico.

(02:29):
Policy would have prevented all of it. He was furloughed
into the nation with a subsequent date to appear, which
rarely does that ever hold up, and they show up
for these actual court hearings.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
This is a joke.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
It's an absolute calamity and a joke. And illegals know
they can take advantage of that process and that hole
in the system. Tom Holman describes where he is going
to start with all of this, and I don't know
how anyone left or right can disagree with this characterization.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
This plan.

Speaker 7 (02:58):
Yeah, we got three rails of of business lawrence. First ball,
we got securitive border. We know how to do that,
We've done it before, Sycobaul. We need to run this
deportation operations. The President's been clear, we're going out of
the gate. We're going to focus on public safety threats
and national security threats first, and fuss if those who
cross the board legally had great due process, a great

(03:19):
taxpayer spans, were order removed by an immigration judge and
didn't lead they're also a priority and third rail. We
got to find over three hundred thousand children that were
released into this country to so called sponsors that the
government can't find. We also got to find them children
to try to save them.

Speaker 6 (03:35):
So many missing children and Tom Homan, in fact, it's
emotional about a lot of this, and I'm seeing a
lot of texts coming in along these lines. Ryan Everify, Yeah,
and that could be a step in the right direction
this process. Mike and Henderson, this is a good one
that says it demeans the intelligence of every Denver police officer.
Johnston doesn't think they know what the constitution says. It's

(03:58):
very disrespectful to all policeman. Well, it's very narcissistic and machiavellian.
The Johnston thinks he can just on a whim coral
the Denver Police Department to do his bidding and secure
the county border of Denver against federal agents looking to
enforce immigration law, which is law on the federal level.

(04:20):
But he wants to create an insurrection, to use Dan
Kaplis's words, and quite literally, that's what this is. It's
like Wild West times. He's championing it as a Tieneman
Square moment. That moms and Denver residents and citizens are
just going to come out of the woodwork and line
up and prevent ice from doing their jobs. What does

(04:41):
that portend? What is that foreshadow? Kelly's having a hard
time over there, so give her a call eight five
five four zero five eight two five five. I think
we have a caller, and I believe his name's Michael,
and he joins us now on the DANKPLA show, Bryan
Schuling filling in Michael.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Are you there?

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Yeah, some of here Brian doing today.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
It's Ryan with an R. But I thank you for
joining us. So what do you got for us today?

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Sorry?

Speaker 8 (05:04):
Sorry about that.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
That's okay, That's why I said that one home.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
I'm actually the mayor of Johnstown, Colorado. So I think
there's a state we got to look because, you know,
if we look at child's next trafficking, Colorado is the
number one state premiering for kids being kidnapped on a
daily and being shipped across the border there and it's
not really you know, something that's talked about within our state.

(05:32):
So being in Awell County, you know, once they start
to set up the deportation, I'm willing to open up
for them to set up the headquarters in Johnstown to
carry this out and take care of the citizens here
in Colorado. I think we need to be looking at
this from a bigger portion of the state of one.
How much of the funding going into a lot of
these causes, and you know, raise defunded police taking money

(05:58):
away from your emergency services just funns and it's just
not right, the right thing to do for these citizens.
You got to take care of the people, and you
got to take care of your margin services. Being number
one who are going out to these calls on the
daily service.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
Michael Duncan joining us, the mayor of Johnstown, Colorado, and
it's so heartening, Michael to hear you talk about this
in that way, that level of cooperation and have that
higher minded value of protecting kids that have been trafficked
across the border. We know that's happening. They're not coming
across with their family members with an aunt or an uncle,
or their mom or their dad. They're setting up shop.

(06:36):
And Javier Bashera was confronted on this that a strip
club was used as an address at which one of
these children was reported to reside. He had no answers
for it whatsoever. Why do you think, Michael, that there
is either some kind of level of acceptance or at
best toleration or just ignorance by Democrats on that aspect

(06:57):
of this issue.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Well, I think a lot of us just turning a
blind eye till it's your child, you know. So we
had to see AML conference back in July where we
had all the mayors in the state of Colorado there,
and I got up and I said, how are we
protecting our American children from being trapped?

Speaker 4 (07:16):
You know, because it's.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Probably about my second month that I was in office,
And I asked, you know, what are we doing to
protect our children here in Johnstown? And roughly two weeks
later I got an invite to our high school. They
were hosting a church was hosting it, you know, an
event for a traffick team and things of that nature.

(07:37):
And I went to it and come to find out,
Johnstown was a halfway point over there at Johnson's Corner
where they used to transition kids and take them off
to Wyoming, Montana, up to Canada and across the border.
You know, I said, well, what do we got to
do as the community to protect our children?

Speaker 8 (07:55):
Because I think we.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Focus on the big picture here. And I met folks
who are just like you know, I didn't believe it
to me. And one wady told me a story that
they were in a park and they were giving away
free shirts to children and it had some kind of
saying on it, you know, giving away people say free

(08:17):
swag you right, And in those shirts there was Trackers.
So when you took that shirt home, you know where
your kid lived at and so they can watch you
and you know, take off your kids or you got
kids online that are being grown daily and you know, hey,
drain out all your money, shave your hair off, and

(08:39):
come meet me here. You know. It was one way
from Fort Collins that told me that story, and it
really broke my heart that, you know, we're not putting
more emphasis on our state as leaders take care of
our children. Yeah, and I think it's not even a
Democrat or Republican problem. I think it's a statewide and
a national problem that you got Colorado and California being

(08:59):
the premiere states of child sex traff you know. And
I think during my sen year while I'm mayor, I'm
gonna try to put emphasis on that and try to
get us all together as Mayorge to combat this and
fight this in our backyard.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
This happens every.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Day, certainly is and I wish there were more mayors
like you, Michael Duncan joining us here, calling into the program,
and again so much optimism that there is a mayor
out there like Michael that's willing to stand up and
do the right thing. Hopefully more will follow. And if
you haven't seen the film Sound of Freedom yet strongly
encourage everyone out there to do just that. Michael, Thanks

(09:34):
for taking the time to call in today and have
a great weekend.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Definitely use the lost thing, all right.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
Dan Ryan Sheiling filling in on the Dan Kapli Show's
got a lot of texts to get to five seven seven,
three nine. You can send your thoughts along again. The
crime that I mentioned that's been reported here locally and
also made the national news about a fourteen year old
daughter of an employer living in jeff Co had an
illegal living with him in the basement. Not sure as

(09:59):
to the da tales of that arrangement, that story, the
employment or whatever goes on within that, but the Venezuelan
illegal allegedly raped this fourteen year old girl, and this
is just not an acceptable consequence of open borders, no
matter how many votes Democrats want to cynically cultivate from

(10:20):
a base of voters that might not even go their way.
But it is worth all of this risk, all of
this havoc, all this pain, all of this death, and
absolutely is not We'll come back with more after this
on the Dan Camplass Show, and now back to the
Dan Camplass Show podcast. Brian Schuling back with you here
on the Dan Caplis Show, inviting your calls from across

(10:43):
the state of Colorado, all along the front range from
the borders of Wyoming to New Mexico, in all points
in between. Eight five five four zero five eight two
five five. Kelly Cacira standing by to take those calls,
and a lot of texts to get to as well.
Five seven, seven thirty nine on this issue. On this
topic again, the latest development this week, and it seems

(11:03):
like it's a new chapter every day of Venezuelan illegal
in Jeffco staying in the basement of his employer reportedly
and allegedly raped the employer's fourteen year old daughter.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
And is now being held in custody.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
The problem is this particular individual should never have been
in this country, was here illegally, was not properly vetted,
was then released upon entry at the country and wandered in.
And what this employer's arrangement was with this guy, I
don't know. We'll see where it goes from here, but
we're not getting any help from within on our elected

(11:38):
leaders in quotes here in Colorado, all of whom are Democrats,
and all of whom at least tolerate this indifferently at minimum.
Let's go to Officer Rocky in Denver, who wants to
chime in on the subject.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
You can do so as well.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
Once again that number eight five five four zero five
eight two five five Rocky, welcome, Yeah, Hi, thank you.

Speaker 7 (12:01):
So.

Speaker 8 (12:02):
I've been a police officer for over twenty years, and
quite frankly, I would love to see that order come
out from the mayor because I would love to see
all the officers turn their back on them, which is
what he deserves. It's ridiculous that he would even think
that we would do that. You know, I'm only required
to obey lawful orders in my chain of command, and

(12:24):
this is not a lawful order. It's unconstitutional. And when
you've got trende Aragua, who's green lighted their people to
attack law enforcement. What makes him think that we're going
to defend those people and keep ICE from doing their job.
We stand with ICE and we support their mission. You know,

(12:47):
I spent dozens of hours on the riot lines back
in the summer of age twenty twenty. And if he
thinks that we're going to stand on the same side
of the line of those people who are attacking us,
he's he's a lunatic.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
Yeah, I can't make sense of the comments he made
to Denver, right, I mean, there were something like out
of fan fiction where he's comparing it to Tienam and Square.
And again he's viewing you and all of your fellow
officers and Rocky, thank you so much for what you
do to protect the city of Denver, and comparing you
to the Praetorian Guard, like he could just order you around.
Play this out for me, whether it's your your direct

(13:25):
chain of command, and those who were above you, the
union president, the police chief, how would this play out.
Let's say that Mayor Johnson wanted you to do exactly
as he described, guard the county line against ICE.

Speaker 8 (13:38):
Well, I understand, I'm not a Denver police officer, but
it would be the same for our agency as their agency.
Like I said, we assisted them a lot during But
you know that if somebody's if they're coming to us
and they're saying, you're gonna go out there and you're
gonna stop ice, you're gonna whatever, treat a blockade or no,

(14:04):
I why would slat out.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Refuse the order, even if that meant being disciplined or fired.

Speaker 8 (14:09):
Yeah, because that's an unlawful order. I don't have to
follow that.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
I believe you'd be able to suit to get your
job back eventually. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but
I appreciate the principle upon which you stand. We need
a lot more like you, and the thing is rocky.
I think there's strength in numbers. And if all of
the Denver pedes said no, we're not doing that, then
it wouldn't have to happen.

Speaker 8 (14:29):
I think they probably would.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Here's hoping.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
Thank you so much again for your service, and we
appreciate you calling into the show. I phone lines are
blowing up, as Dan Kaplis might say, they are in fuego.
So Kelly deals with that. Well, let's go to the
text line as well five seven seven three nine. Ryan,
like the mayor of Johnstown, suggested it would be wonderful
to have the deportation crew set up a headquarters in

(14:52):
Weld County. We should target the south end of the county.
Maybe an eerie I will join other Wild County residents
and backing the federal agent. Shouldn residents take form to
resist those federal agents. I mean what you're describing, it's
like end of Days. It's like beyond Thunderdome. Okay, Tina
Turner singing and Mel Gibson's starring in this flick, and
it's all Mike Johnston's creation in his own mind. Kelly

(15:15):
thinks that's funny. I don't know if she's talking to
me or not, but maybe, but it really isn't. It's
not funny when you think about the potential consequences of
this and that there could be de facto civil war
engagement or reenactment.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
But it's all too real.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
So this is something to keep in mind, and I
think that's a good idea that we should stand our ground,
be peaceful at all costs, Believe in our police officers
like the one we just heard from. Trust that our
Denver PD is not going to turn against its own
citizens or protect illegals who are not legal residents or

(15:52):
citizens of this country or citizens of Denver.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
And I know that the.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
Whole bleeding heart left wing IDL of this is we
must protect the least among us. Bring us, you're tired,
you're hungry, you're poor, and whether they're legal or illegal,
no human is illegal regardless of their status. If they're
in Denver, we're going to protect them. But that comes
at a cost. And it's like Rocky just talked about,
It's like I've spoken with Cindy and edrad Merrow about

(16:20):
we cannot protect the likes of Trendy Arragua or this
punk degenerate who just raped a fourteen year old girl.
Why did Democrats want to protect those? Why not draw
a line and say, okay, we're going to protect you know,
Abuela and these immigrants that do not have legal status,
but they're hardworking and they're not violating any other laws,

(16:42):
even though they broke the law to get into this country.
Why would a Democrat not meet President Trump and Ice
half Wang. We can get rid of the hardcore criminals
and know we don't want them here. Why do the
Democrats want them here? Let's go to Carl and Highland's ranch. Carl,
Welcome to the Day Capital Show.

Speaker 9 (17:01):
Hi, Ryan, I just so agree with your thinking on this,
and I want to say that my definition of a
good guy is not what Johnston said yesterday. Why are
illegal aliens more important than American citizens?

Speaker 4 (17:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (17:20):
And I did call Polis's office good and I did
call Johnson's office. That's like going through a maze. No, yeah,
and then you have Toltely. But I am so offended
by him being even referred to as a good guy.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
No, he's not.

Speaker 9 (17:35):
And what he said yesterday was inflammatory and like I
think Dan was saying, just give some whack job. Oh yeah, Well,
if this is wrong, I need to go out and
take out some of these cops if they're not going
to you know, I just whole thing is a mess and.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
I hate it.

Speaker 9 (17:50):
And we've and part of my message was to Polish
and Johnston, this is what the American people voted for.
That's all I see, Carly.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Great stuff, and I know the good guy comment you're
referring to. I think this drew the ire of some
listeners Earlier in my conversation with George Brockler, and in
defense of him, he's looking to strike up some kind
of bargain and working relationship, most likely down the line
with Mike Johnston.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
He doesn't want to go scorched Earth.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
I can understand and appreciate that, but Carly, I completely
agree with you. A good guy doesn't compare forming a
praetorian guard against Ice to the legitimacy of tian Men
Square and those protesting Chinese students. It was insane. You're
listening to the Dan Kapliss Show podcast. Always a good
day when I can play spinal tap on the Dan

(18:41):
Camplis Show, especially on a Friday.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Filling in Dan is out and you're stuck with me.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
Five seven seven three nine is where you can send
those texts along. If you're holding right now eight five
five four zero five eight two five five, please continue
to hold that line and Kelly will get your details
in just a moment.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
She stepped out for just that moment.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
Let's go to the text now, and the reason I
played that song has to do with this text that
came in. The mayor has his protests mixed up. Flower
Power photo is from nineteen sixty seven Vietnam protest at
the Pentagon. He had carnations. The brave protester in China
only had shopping bags. Did they run over him?

Speaker 4 (19:22):
I do not know.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
Details are important now what I glean and I remember
I was about a sophomore in high school. I think
when the Ti and Men Square protest took place in
nineteen eighty nine.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
I remember that Chinese student standing in front of the tank.

Speaker 6 (19:38):
I mean, what an iconic image. And you can only
imagine what happened to that poor young man. And he's
probably disappeared. I mean, best case scenario is sent to
a labor camp, maybe for the rest of his life,
or maybe the rest of his life was that day?

Speaker 4 (19:52):
You just don't know.

Speaker 6 (19:53):
There there's no transparency in the Chinese Communist Party. It's
an inherent evil and scourge on the planet for so
many reasons when it comes to trade and cheap borderline
slave labor and the wigers that are providing that slave labor,
and we as Americans who are feeding into that with
an economy based on a lot of products produced in

(20:13):
China with that slave labor. I'm with Ronda Santis on
this decoupling from China and finding a way to do that.
I've spoken about it with an expert on the subject,
Gordon Shang, who believes that China is at war with us,
whether we like it or not, whether we know it
or not, and it's on multiple fronts that they're trying
to achieve this and to dethrone us really as the
world's superpower. And they just don't play by the same

(20:36):
rules as we do. And this dates back to President
Richard Nixon who engaged in folly by trying to extend
Most Favored Nation status to China, categorize them as a
developing nation, try to welcome them into the world economy.
And they still they still to this day, play by
that special set of rules.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
China is not a developing country.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
China is a communist dictatorship ruled with an iron fist.
It is an economic superpower, and it has achieved the
means to that end through slave labor, through devaluing its
own currency, all kinds of means that we can't fight
on a level playing field with them. The trade and

(21:18):
balance between the two countries, the tariffs that President Trump
tried to implement, but I would go a lot of
steps further.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
He sounds like he scares you ou Ji Jianping.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
No, Gordon doesn't scare me. I think Lydia might his
wife the boss as he calls her in with the boss.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
You are good, She'll kill you last.

Speaker 6 (21:48):
But the serious point to be made on China is
you know they are even if you're a lefty like
Mike Johnston.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
They are the chief primary polluter of the world.

Speaker 6 (21:57):
Yet we never hear from the left, from the gredits
from John Carey, from Al Gore, from Mike Johnston. Filling
the blank Democrat AOC, why are they so soft on China?
If they called China out and says this is a
polluting nation, we need to crack down on them, limit
their greenhouse gas emissions.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
But they're not serious people.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
They're not really that serious about climate change or whatever
you want to call it. China and India are by
far the two most egregious polluters on the planet, and
yet we are supposed to hamstring our own economy, tie
our own hands behind our back, join the Paris Climate Accord,

(22:40):
and continue to try to cut down on our emissions,
all the while China and India are cranking out the
coal and all the emissions we all live on the
same planet. If you're serious about this subject, then you
would be very serious about cracking down about China and India.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
But we don't hear that. Can't spa china h y
n a egregious spelling, b ell of.

Speaker 6 (23:05):
A sudden gr E g R E g R I
U O U sho?

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Who's online? One?

Speaker 6 (23:13):
I don't know there's a person online? Why did you
talk to this person? And yeah, are you drunk? What's
going on here?

Speaker 4 (23:22):
I don't think so.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Please please put on the board who is holding the line?
I want to go to the caller if and when
we can. Don't apologize, says to this text, You're way
better than Dan. Well, you're too kind and it's that
a contest. Dan and I are teammates. Now, wait a minute,
I just told that person to call back.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Well, unfortunately.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
I believe.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
It was static.

Speaker 6 (23:50):
Okay, I know what song I'm playing coming back?

Speaker 4 (23:54):
No static at all? Okay.

Speaker 6 (23:57):
Stephen Littleton, retired law enforcement officer, Steve, thanks for your service.
Sounds like Mayor Johnston is letting his mouth write checks
his butt can't cash. Well, you know why you're right,
Steve is I think he knows he's stepped in it,
so he thinks he's talking to Denver Right, which I
don't know for sure, but you think they're leaning left,
if not all the way over there. They're affiliated with

(24:17):
Colorado Public Radios, so you can draw your own conclusions
there too. So here's Mike Johnston acting all tough and
badass like he's talking.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
He's preaching to the choir.

Speaker 6 (24:26):
It's his hard left comedy bass, and he can say
things like, oh, it's just like Teneman Square, it's our moment,
and the moms are gonna step up and the police
they're gonna obstruct ice, and isn't that gonna be great?
And the unfortunate part is that quote got out in
the Denverright article. Newsweek picked it up, then Fox News
picked it up, then we picked it up, and the

(24:49):
audio still hasn't been released. I would love to hear
him say it in his own words. But then Denver
seven tried to follow up, and he was whisked away
into his suv and wanted nothing to do with the
media to further explain his comments because he knows they
are bat blank crazy, not to his far left base.
He'll get re elected. I mean, Denver is an insane asylum,

(25:11):
it's Arkham. But to middle of the road voters, moderates
out there who swung to the right in seven swing
states in this election and won Donald Trump the popular vote.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
This is a loser of an issue.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
Even if Mike Johnson were to run statewide for governor,
I think Phil Wiser he probably shares the same opinions here,
which is ridiculous, But I think there would be a
lane for a moderate Democrat to come away with this
thing the nomination on their side. Wiser went on with
Joy Reid and was basically singing out of the same
hymnal as Mike Johnston on this. We're gonna protect our

(25:47):
citizens whether they're legal or not. And they're not citizens
if they're illegal, but they are in our residents and
they can't come and take them.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
We got a sanctuary status here. Do they even know?

Speaker 6 (25:57):
I mean, outside of their far left cocoons, people aren't
that crazy about sanctuary cities or states on the whole,
Protecting gang members like trend de Arragua rapists like we
just saw in Venezuela coming here illegally setting up shop
in Jeffco living in the basement of his employer and

(26:18):
raping his fourteen year old daughter. I have a feeling
most voters in the middle or center left aren't exactly
cool with that either. But maybe I'm reaching a little bit.
I don't think so. Five seven, seven, three nine. Send
those texts along and Kelly taking your calls at eight
five five four zero five eight two five five. Well,
George Brockler's catching some heat here. I'm happy that callers

(26:41):
called up Brockler said this Texter Brockler always called out
Trump and never said anything nice. Johnston is not a
nice guy. He has ruined Denver and hurt many small businesses.
I don't know that he can take the entire credit
slash blame for ruining Denver. I think Michael Hancock wasn't
exactly outstanding, but I gotta say the stuff that Mike

(27:03):
Johnston says is whack a doodle to the I think,
to the left far left of even Michael Hancock. And
we thought he was bad and he wasn't great. But no,
I've not been a fan of virtually anything that Johnston
has done. I mean, he has put illegals at the
front of the line, in front of disabled and homeless veterans,
in front of Denver residents who need those services in

(27:27):
front of our parks and wreck which he cut those
budgets in order to fund these illegals.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
And it's a never ending stream of cash.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
Because once you open that spigot, the more illegals that
are going to come here, and they're going to communicate
back to their home countries. Come to Denver. You get
free stuff here, you get a free home here. We
will get you a home, Mike Johnston said. He said
that in his inaugural address, we will get you a home.
And the illegals are counting on that charity and they're

(27:55):
taking advantage of it. They are not striking a bargain.
I believe every American immigrants should strike that. My grandparents
struck that, my mom struck. You come here not with
your handout, but with your sleeves rolled up, willing to work,
willing to become an American, willing to contribute to our
society and our economy, to have that work ethic, to

(28:19):
be proud of who you are and what you do,
not to just come here and squat and take up
space and get a free residence and free transportation and
free cell phones and free everything else. When you enable
these people. You give them things and don't expect anything
in return. What do you think you're going to get?

(28:40):
Take this time out down in Fort Collins. Coming back
to wrap up the show along with your text at
five seven, seven, three nine, call in eight five five
four zero five eight two five five. Ryan Shuling filling
in on this Friday edition of The Dan Kaplas Show
and now back to the Dan Kaplas Show podcast only
when Kelly gets a good phone call, because I gotta

(29:02):
tell you behind the scenes little inside baseball.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Here, Kelly. On a scale of one to ten, how would.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
You categorize or grade our phone system here in the building?

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Honest number?

Speaker 9 (29:13):
Now one to ten.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
Scale of one to ten, ten being the best and
one being positively awful.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
I would say negative nine. Oh wow that bad?

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:24):
Okay, well yeah.

Speaker 6 (29:26):
A good craftsman or woman never blames his or her tools.
So we deal with what we have. We play the
hand we're dealt, right, Ryan.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
I say to God, I am going to come over
there and kick your ays. Don't do that?

Speaker 5 (29:42):
Yeah, be nice, Yeah, I'm going.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
To be kind. I would need a stool, a.

Speaker 6 (29:47):
Little step ladder you yeah, yeah, but you'll do it.
I would instead, let's go to Don and Fort Collins.
He's got a question about eating in a betting. I
gotta believe this has to do with the topic at hand. Don,
Welcome to the Dan Kapla show, Ryan Shuling fillingan.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Hi. Ryan Don from Fort Collins, wanted to ask you
this question, isn't what the mayors and governors of these states,
these sanctuary states aren't. Aren't they aiding and abetting the
commission of a crime? And aren't they then subject to arrest.

Speaker 6 (30:22):
There is absolutely an argument for what you're saying, Don,
and I feel strongly that that is the case. I
think sanctuary cities there's a reckoning coming for those they
are in defiance of federal law. You can say there's
an element of federalism in the argument, which George Brockler outlined,
and I would agree with that to a point, but
you can't defy federal law at the expense of the

(30:46):
safety of the citizens of the United States.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
In my view, this is my opinion with.

Speaker 6 (30:50):
Regard to illegals who have no legal right to be here.
You might think we have a moral obligation somehow. If
you're on the left to provide for these people. I
don't don. I would much rather my taxpayer dollars go
to benefit disabled and homeless veterans, of whom there are
many right here in Colorado. You see them panhandling all

(31:13):
the time at intersections and exit ramps, and yet we're
going to prioritize illegals over our homeless vets. To me,
that's reprehensible.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
I agree with you one hundred percent. And I also
would think that the aiding and a betting clause would
subject these people that are defining the federal law. Federal
immigration law should be subject to immediate arrest and thrown
in jail. And that would include our governor. That would

(31:46):
include our mayor and anybody else that would define the
law that's on the books about our immigration system and
aiding at a betting.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
DON appreciate the call, and I know there are a
lot of listeners out there who agree with you. I
think there has to be a consequence because unfortunately, in
a lot of these cities they've been democrat for so long,
these mayors and even governors Pritzker in Illinois, and I
would say, poll us here at the moment, Newsom in California,
they're unaccountable because there's no viable party opposing them. They

(32:17):
have no real threat of losing in an election, and
that would be the ultimate judgment rendered. But they feel
like they can do this carte blanche with no consequence,
a consequence, free environment.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
What are you gonna do about it?

Speaker 6 (32:28):
They're not putting the needs of the citizens first, that
that comes last, if anything, And I agree with you
one hundred percent that you cannot enable and encourage this
behavior by conferring American citizen rights upon those who hail
from outside our borders. I don't know that Dan agrees

(32:50):
with me on this, but I can't figure out why
you don't have a right to be here. You don't
have a right to come here if you are not
a citizen of this country.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Now.

Speaker 6 (33:00):
I encourage legal immigration and I always will, but if
you're here illegally, tough news, Jack, you gotta go. And
if we started deporting people the way that Donald Trump
has promised, and I believe that he will, with Tom
Holman's help and maybe John Fabricatories, you're gonna see that
come to an abrupt end right quick. If they know

(33:21):
they can't get away with coming in here illegally. You
got an asylum claim that's cool here. Remain in Mexico
until we adjudicate your case, and then if we do
determine that you are granted asylum status, then you can
come in. My grandparents were only allowed in this country
once they were granted asylum status. They weren't allowed to

(33:41):
come over here through Boston and l Asyland. Just hang
out until that was decided. Are you nuts? No country
worth its salt should tolerate that a country must have
borders in order to be a sovereign nation.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
This isn't the song imagined by.

Speaker 6 (33:57):
John Lennon, And even he I would be fascinated to
hear where John Lennon, now at age eighty four would
feel about these things.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
We get a window.

Speaker 6 (34:08):
I think a little bit with Sean O'nolennon, but he's
my age and he barely remembers his dad.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
He was like five when John Lennon.

Speaker 6 (34:14):
Was killed, but he said his dad was a free thinker,
and there is a very real chance I think that
Lennon John might have adjusted and adapted to the times,
and who knows where the Overton window might have placed him.
But this isn't that kind of society, and that we're
not living in that kind of world, we have real
world consequences in the form of Lake and Riley and

(34:35):
the fourteen year old daughter who was recently raped in
jeff Co. What are the Democrats going to do about it?
Right now, it's radio silence, there is static I guess
on that connection that'll do it for us from here
for now, my thanks to Kelly Kacher for her help today.
Dan Kaplus back with you on Monday. Until then, have
a great weekend and you can join me live two

(34:56):
to four pm weekdays on six point thirty K how
