Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Dan Caplis and welcome to today's online podcast
edition of The Dan Kaplis Show. Please be sure to
give us a five star rating if you'd be so kind,
and to subscribe, download, and listen to the show every
single day on your favorite podcast platform. We'd protect Americans,
but not Jared polisy Mox Danielle Jirinsky trying to silence
others who would tell the truth about Venezuela and gang
(00:22):
activity and Aurora because it hurt Democrats, It hurt Kamala Harris,
it hurt Jared Poulis. So guess what better to compromise
public safety by suppressing the truth than to hurt Polis
or Harris. That's their mentality, which is a perfect lead
in to our next guest, the legendary Dick Watams. He
has a great piece in the gazette Polis Griswold reveal
(00:44):
rot of dem domination. Dick, you don't see the our
word very often. I was trying to remember the last
time I saw the word rot. It's a great word.
Why don't we hear it more often?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I think we're going to hear more of it, Dan,
as the people aren't understanding the consequences of this dominant
Democratic majority and the issues I talked about in that piece,
in addition to what you're talking about today with Aurora
and this gang activity really underscore it well.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Later, honest brother, tell folks what's in this piece.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Well, we've watched the Garrett Poets who he and his husband,
the First Gentleman, have essentially imposed this bull free introduction
on communities and ranchers in northwest Colorado, and it's been
a disaster. It's been a disaster for the community. It's
(01:38):
been a disaster for the ranchers. It's been a disaster
frankly for the wolves. I mean, all these wolves reminding
their own business in Oregon, right and they get shifted
to Colorado and they've been dying. And it's not the
wolves what's going on. But the real problem was the
Colorado Counties, Inc. Which is an organization of all sixty
(01:59):
three counties who have county commissioners. Denver does not have
county commissioners, and at their major conference recently, which the
governor traditionally speaks to, I was at that conference several
times with Governor Bill Owens when I worked for him.
But it's always been a great opportunity for the governor
to act to these locally elected officials talk about the
issues coming up in the session budget other sessions, and
(02:22):
when a when, and then they have a Q and
A and when a Grand County commissioner which has been
affected by these wolves when he had the TI marit
to ask Governor, poets, could you consider delaying the additional
implementation of this Wolfrey introduction in order that we can
really understand the negative effects of saving on communities and
(02:43):
also from a vegetary standpoint, and and he got very indignant.
The governor got very indignant. He basically blamed the ranchers
of all people for the lack of success of this program,
and then he stormed a OUSTI podium out the door.
I got to tell you, Dan, I like I say,
I've been with I was your governor on several times
(03:04):
for that particular event. I don't think any democratic governor
has ever done that until now. And it just shows
you how arrogant he is and how he is he
is above any criticism or any question of his poets.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Did he just snap?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Was it like one of these moments, Because I know, Dick,
you remember this police on the floor of the house
when he just like had a break, a snap.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
And you're saying we're addressing them, and that's what you're
upset abowt Madam Speaker, I want you amount of speaker to.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Address the reason that they are here.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
They are here because our.
Speaker 7 (03:37):
Government is carried apart their families.
Speaker 8 (03:39):
Madam Speaker, Well, gentlemen from Colorado understand, all members.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Well the speaker understand that the speaker is obstructing HR
fifteen from coming to the floor.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Will speak, Will a speaker understand that leaders? Will the
speaker understand that gentlemen may proceed?
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Will the speaker understand, and that the speaker is preventing
h R fifteen from coming in the floor. And that
is why there are men and women in the gallery
the potentially face deportation and their families are being torn apart.
Speaker 6 (04:10):
It's very simple.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
It's very simple, very simple, Madam Speaker.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Sounds like kind of a psychotic break, a sexist psychotic
break there, So I'm not saying he actually had clinically
a psychotic break.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
It just sounds like him exactly. He didn't hysterically scream
at CC like like he did in that audio clip,
but the era it was that his comment was dripping
with arrogance, dripping with the elitism. Are you stupid rangers
out there responsible for these wonderful wolves to not be
successfully implemented in Colorado?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
That was the And to walk off though, to walk off.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
And then to walk away from the podium and out
the door, basically, And I've never seen any never, I've
never heard of anything like that happening before.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah, Dick Attams our guests, nor have I. But I
think it is the real Poliss, right, it is the
real Polis. And now that he's term limited, and I
don't mean to divert because I know we need to
talk about Chris Wall, But now that he's term limited,
where does he go from here? Because hicken Looper during
the DNC seemed to stake out his turf and say, no,
(05:14):
I'm serving another term. Does Polish try to run hicken
Looper out or where does he go from here? Is
that part of what we just saw on fold. Now
that he doesn't have anywhere to go politically or anything
to run for right now, he's just going to blast
the double middle fingers.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
If I were Hickenlooper, I'd be a little nervous, which
is on my shoulder at Polis. I think there is
going to be pressure within the Democratic Party, Dan for
Hickenlooper to step aside. I mean, he's in his seventies.
He would be eighty years old at the end of
the second term. And frankly, I think other than Polish,
there will be a lot of young, ambitious Democrats are
(05:49):
going to say, listen, you've served the term in the Senate,
you've been governor for it, you were governor for eight years.
Maybe it's time for you to step aside for a
new generation. Now that's a debate within the Democratic Party.
But back to povist Dan, I think he'll run for president.
I really do. It's an open seat. It's anybody's game
to be the Democratic nominee in twenty twenty eight. And
(06:11):
I think that's where he said it.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Well, that's like me running for quarterback of the Broncos.
I mean, yeah, I officially declare. Ryan put it on
social media. I am running for quarterback of the Bronco.
Isn't anybody's going to care?
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Right? I mean, Dick, really.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Much more plausible for you to be quarterback than him
to be president.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Right, That's that's what I mean. Who's going to care
if police says he's running for president. He we've seen
this act before, right, These guys get coddled by the
media bubble and Colorado. Then they venture into the real
world and they get they whacked like baby seals.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, and he cultivates the same age thing. I'm a
libertarian Democrat, which is far. I think he's going to
continue to try to cultivate that though.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yeah, you're free to do whatever Polis says you can do.
That's his definition of freedom exactly. So tell us this
is a great pecetick. Tell us about the Griswold part.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Of this, Well, I mean Griswold, she is incompetent her
only she's blindly ambitious. She has spent more time seeking
and getting on MSNBC for interviews be where she trashed
Donald Trump and the Republicans for the past such years.
And meanwhile, her office was clearly there are some good
(07:27):
people in that sectuary State's office who had propped it
up in her absence and while she wasn't while she
was seeking her her national attention. But clearly there was
a breakdown within the office when an underling in her
office basically revealed pass codes to voting equipment and a
bunch of counties across Colorado. And her response was, well,
(07:50):
I will have an outside investigation, while she she had
an investigation by a firm he selected she paid for. Now,
how outside is that they controlled the thing?
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah, and the script in the office was a really
big deal. But then her decision conscious delivered, premeditated decision
not to tell her own clerks. How does that not
get your run out office? Run out of politics. I'm
hoping she's the dem nominee. That's the very best chance
we have for a Republican governor.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Oh, I think I think she I think that would
be marvelous if she was a Democratic nominade, because I
think she has I think even Democrats, many Democrats who
might have been inclined to support her because because there
is a historic factor of Democrats want to elect a
woman governor because we've never had one, and I think
that there would there was there was some sentiment within
(08:42):
the party to nominate her, But I think that's that's
drifted away. I don't think she knows that she's terribly
unself aware. Yeah, well I doubt she does.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
And Dick Quandams are yes, you your piece, and the
gaze Paulish Griswold revealed rod of domination. I think goes
to this old point, Dick, and I'm not sure the
origin of it, but this this old saint that good
times create weak people. Weak people create bad times. And
so the Democrats have had such total domination that they
(09:15):
have become weak and flaccid, and your great word rotted.
They're doing all this crazy stuff. At a certain point,
obviously they've created bad times for Colorado. Just look around,
and at a certain point, do the people of Colorado
take notice? In number is large enough to actually elect
a Republican governor or senator?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
You know, Dan, I think we are starting to head
towards a tipping point in Colorado. Now, whether that's enough
to elect a governor in two years, I don't know,
But I do think that when you add all these
things up, the arrogance of Polis, the incompetence and blind
ambition of Griswold, the way that you have so well
(09:59):
said talking about Poet's dismissal of the game problem in Aurora,
I think this is starting to add up. And so
I think the public is going to start taking a
look at this and saying wait a minute, maybe one
party control is not the best idea.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Amen to that well, great piece in the gazette. Thank
you for that, Dick, and hopefully get you in studio
again soon and kick all this.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
I thank you, my friend.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
You take care all right, Dan.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
That is Dick Wadham. Catch this piece in the Gazette.
Polish Griswold revealed rot of dem domination. By the way,
Danielle Jerinski with us at five point thirty six.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
And now back to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.
Speaker 6 (10:41):
Do you think you'll be satisfied with what you've here today?
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Probably not.
Speaker 9 (10:45):
I think they're going to say they they don't know.
And that's a concern in and of itself that if
we have drones flying around military bases and we can't
identify where they came from or who's responsible for them.
I know they're a lot of commercial drone out there,
and it's Cecuary my ORCS has talked about this. That's fine,
(11:05):
but the ones flying over our military bases by definition,
and I would say adversarial, we need to know who
is behind that because I believe there's.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Spine drones that is.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Congressman Mike McCall of Texas. But Joe Biden to the rescue.
He cleared it all up on the drones, says only
Joe Biden can do things.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Apparently, but they're checking it all out.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
They look at this one.
Speaker 9 (11:36):
There's a lot of drones authorized.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Who helped up.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
I think one started and they all guys, everybody's wanted
to get in the deal.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yeah, one started, and they all wanted to get in
the deal. So the President of the United States doesn't know.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Obviously, this goes to a bit bigger point that we
don't have a president of the United States, and the
fact that the Democrats allow that to continue and don't
remove them tells you what they really think about you
in the country. International security, which is not much eight
five five for zero five eight two fivey five the
number Danielle Jerinski with US at five thirty six. Dick
Wadhams just joined us. And Okay, so we got this
(12:13):
poll out Magellan, really good pollster poll out Colorado Democrats
on the governor's race, because you're going to have this
open seat, right Polis is term limited, and so who
do the Democrats like At this point, Jonah Goose leading
with twenty he's the Boulder congressman, great prominence in Congress
(12:34):
right now, leadership position with the Dems.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
A potential speaker.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Some say, Jenna Griswold, he had Jonah Goose is at
twenty percent, Jenna Griswold sixteen percent, can sell as our
eleven percent, Phil Weiser eight percent, other candidate eight percent,
and then of course the Whopper number undecided thirty seven percent.
But a couple of things jumped out in this polling
to me, the first one being the low support for
(13:00):
phil Weiser, you know, at eight percent, but then even
more so when you when you get wonky and you
get into the crosstab stuff. His favorables real low for
phil Wiser's favorables down around thirty two percent if I
remember right, and like Griswold led with favorables, believe it
or not. Let's let's hope, really, let's hope she's the nominee.
(13:21):
If somebody said, Dan, you can give money to guarantee
Jenna Griswold is the DEM nominee, show me where to
send the check.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
Let me just break it down this way, Dan, She
has done so many things wrong. I mean, even Kyle
Clark here locally in Denver. I had a tay to
tay with her where she sighed known less than three
times in her responses to him.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
What positive you never signed?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Not like that?
Speaker 5 (13:44):
She's like Kyle that.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
I've heard so mean.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah, but don't you think that that was a hit
that the left wanted? What left once are out of
the understanding.
Speaker 7 (13:54):
But these numbers are in spite of that, Dan, when
I'm trying to think of it, is there any positive
news coverage she's gotten, anything positive that she's done or
accomplished that that we even know about.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Well, I think it was her birth. I mean, she listened,
she was born female.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
And the Democratic Party, right, the Democratic Party is so
obsessed with identity politics, and listen, who could blame females
inside the Democratic Party talk about getting conned whether you're
a person of color, you're a female, you're some other
type of minority. You get all this, oh yeah, we're
all about you, this and that, And then who do
the Democrats elect over and over again, boring old white guys? Right,
(14:31):
and you got a couple in the Senate who are
just taking up space. So don't you think that's it? Ryan,
That's the only possible thing that could explain her leading
that poll and the high servables. Yeah, I like her
because she's a woe.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
I mean, I want a woman, Gum.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
It might fall under the it's better to get bad
publicity than no publicity, because she's got a lot of
bad publicity. Dan, I can't think of it, Oh, Jenna Griswold,
let this room revolution room.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Within the Democratic Party. No, it's it's about ident And
can't you imagine Ryan right now? Within that Democratic Party
in Colorado, as far left as they are, as identity
politics as they are, they are absolutely sick and tired
and done with and disgusted with middle age and an
older white man.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
And because think about it, they've all been jobbed.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
It's just like voters of color when they vote for
the Democrats, thank you for your voting, and then they
kick them in the grind and then they deprive their
children of equal opportunity and education if they even you know,
let their children get born the way Democrats push abortion.
So no, I think I think that's what's driving Griswold's support.
So let's do this as a group. Can we, in
(15:41):
the words of Rodney King, can we all just get
along and agree we want no other female candidates in
the Democrat governor's race. We want Jenna Griswold to be
the Democrat nominee because it's hard to imagine a weaker one.
But even then, can a can win that race. Now
(16:01):
you hear some people I really respect to know what
they're talking about, say Colorado right now is D plus fifteen.
Others say it's more like D plus ten. Whatever it is,
that's a hell to climb, right, So let me ask
you this and text on this as well. If you
would da n five seven seven three nine, if the nominee,
(16:22):
if the Democrats nominate Jenna Griswold, and that'll only happen
if Jonagoz stays in Congress, right, If Joe Nogose wants
the nomination, it's his. That's just a given. I've never
met the guy. Try to get him on. If you would,
Ryan and Joe Negose. Everybody I've talked to is met
Jonah Goose likes him and and respects him. You know,
(16:43):
he's way left, He's going to do all this lefty stuff,
and so he shouldn't be governor, he shouldn't be congressman,
et cetera. But apparently a good guy, a talented guy.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
A likable guy. If he wants it, he's got it.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
And Jonah Goose also happened to be of color, and
I mentioned that because it's so critical to Democrat and
the way they approach things. But if he doesn't want
it and he stays in Congress, yeah, yeah, let's hope
it's hurt. But even then, does the Republican win? What
do you think do you think the Republican wins?
Speaker 7 (17:12):
Ryde, It's going to be like you said, you got
a threat a needle here, and a lot of the
unaffiliateds who are listed, which is our largest percentage by plurality,
lean left, tend to vote left, tend to vote Democrat,
and even in these latest ballot proposals have been stunned
by how many have gone in such wayward directions. But
it would have to be a unifying voice in a
(17:34):
Republican party right now, Dan, that is, let's face it,
bitterly divided from the leadership on down. I mean, Gabe
Evans won that gave Evans won the congressional seat in
spite of Dave Williams in leadership, who endorsed his primary opponent,
Janet Joshie, who didn't even live in the district, and
then Dave ran against Jeff Crank Crank one, I mean.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Is that's proof that these things can be healed, these
things can be fixed? So hey when with Quebec, daniel
Jerinsky has emerged as a real hero. Remember, Polish tried
to mock her, to intimidate her and others from telling
the truth about Venezuelan gang activity in rock Polis. Didn't
want you to know the truth, even though you're safer
if you know the truth. He wanted the truth buried
because the truth is bad for Polish, The truth is
(18:15):
bad for Kamala Harris.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Danielle Jirinsky stood up. She's next.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
You're listening to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Oh yeah, she roared, and America's better off for it.
Danielle Jirinsky joins us from the Aurora City Council. She
came out, She told the truth, an important truth that
would keep the public safer, and she was mocked and
ridiculed by a governor who wanted to hide the truth
for his own political purposes. It does not get any
better than what she did, any worse than what he did. Danielle,
(18:53):
welcome back to the Dan Caplis Show.
Speaker 8 (18:55):
Thanks for having me, Diam.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yeah, well, hey, please tell us the late just because
obviously the whole nation now paying attention when you've got
this mass invasion, these these people abducted, tied up, tortured,
and I wish it had never happened, obviously, but the
silver lining is maybe going to prevent a lot more violence. Pataniell,
(19:17):
what do you know about the home invasion itself?
Speaker 8 (19:20):
Well, it's terrible, Dan, And you know, from day one,
I have stood my ground. I said that this gang
was here. I said that I had law enforcement telling
me that this gang was even worse, even scarier, more
violent than MS thirteen because they're savages and they're more organized.
And what we're seeing here, you know the gentleman in
(19:44):
Denver that Trende Aragua kidnapped him and chopped his fingers off. Well,
now what has happened is this couple out of the
same apartment complex that I went into and moved the
Romeros out of this couple. And this is because the
wife hosted on social media and they kicked in their door,
(20:04):
kidnapped the husband and wife, moved them to another apartment,
vacant apartment tied them up, beat them, pistol whipped them,
stabbed the man multiple times in the leg, and Dan
took a pair of pliers and ripped the woman's fingernails off.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
They should never be let out, and I know the
laws don't allow life for that, but they should never
be on our streets. Are anybody streets, anybody streets, And
these are the type of people Jared Poulos wants to
help cover up four by mocking you nationally. Oh yeah,
that's all a figure of Danielle Jirinsky's imagination.
Speaker 8 (20:44):
Yeah, like more like a worst nightmare, A worst nightmare,
not feature of my imagination. This is a worst nightmare.
And everybody who says, oh gangs have been in a
roar forever and there's the bloods and there's the crips.
I've been in a war of my entire life. And
I know that there's other gangs, but other gangs fight
each other or fight for territory, not this torture, ripping
(21:11):
people's fingernails off.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Right, And now, what are the next steps. I've read
that the sixteen arrested gang members tortures allegedly are now
in federal custody, immigration custody, pending the criminal charges. What
do you think comes next?
Speaker 8 (21:28):
Well, and actually, Dan, we're up to nineteen and just
to note, the Oral Police Department under the new leadership,
under the with Chiefs Chamberlain, they single handedly arrested more
individuals in twenty four hours than the previous Chief's office
did in the entire five months that I've been beating
(21:49):
the drum. So that is the next steps. We have
a solid chief in place, who is leading, who is
getting in front of this, telling the truth, hosting conferences
and reassuring the public, which is what should have happened
from day one. And then obviously we're in this transition, Fave.
We're waiting for the incoming administration, President Trump to come back.
(22:12):
Operation Aurora has been thrown out there. I don't actually
know what that means at this point. I think we're
all going to kind of learn together. But I think
Swiss help is on the way, and even Tom Holman
coming out and saying that they are coming for the criminals.
They're going to have their handsful. There are nineteen people
in custody for the torture of two. If you do
(22:33):
the math on that, there's a heck of a lot
of criminals here.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Ay Man, and I don't think there's any doubt that
this is going to start in Aura with Operation Aurora,
whatever form it takes. Danielle, you should be very proud
that this is the best of public service. When you
make a truth like this known, it's going to make
everybody safe for long term. And you stood up to
the mockery of Jared Polis and you were proven right
(22:57):
and he was proven wrong.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
So great work. We'll look forward to the next visit.
Speaker 8 (23:02):
Thank you so much, dam.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Thank you take care of that is Danielle Chirinsky from
the Aura City Council and and Ryan as we've talked about, Hey,
a lot of great things going on Aurora too. I
will be dining in Aurora tonight with our son. He
just finished his finals and he's flying back in from
law school and we will dine of course edit in
and out.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Yes, yes, well.
Speaker 7 (23:24):
You prefer an in and out burger to most steaks.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Doesn't everybody?
Speaker 6 (23:27):
I mean true animal style got to do animals?
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Does the Animal style Animal Style?
Speaker 1 (23:34):
I just i'd have to map quest like what's the
big hospital Aura, you know, South Aurora Medical Center, And
I'd have to kind of map quests that I have
to go straight from the animal fries to the hospital.
But I have a couple of cheeseburgers, a couple of
orders of fries, and yeah no, but it you know,
you got it. Truth will set us free, right, And
(23:54):
that's the thing is, is so much of left now.
They just want to bury the truth. He speaking of
which US Supreme Court has taken on a couple of
biggies and will be previewing those tomorrow on the show.
Just today they said they're going to decide whether and
they've rocket docketed this. They're going to hear I think
they're gonna hear argument January tenth. But it's on whether
the law banning TikTok violates the First Amendment. This is
(24:19):
going to be fascinating and on so many different levels.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Are you guys on TikTok? Absolutely not, because you don't
want to be spied on exactly, Well, my.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
Kids are, My kids are on TikTok?
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Yet, Yeah, there's so much wild content. Our daughter shows
it to me all the time, and yeah, there's so
much stuff there. But yeah, I'm not on it either
right now.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
And then whether states can defund planned parenthood, including in
a medicaid context, very important life case. So Supreme's taking
those on and I can't wait to see how they
decide this TikTok thing, because if you're a geek for
those kind of legal issues, that's going to be fascinating.
You see a Supreme Court justice on Broadway?
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Did you see that? I did? Yeah? Yeah, very talented.
Speaker 7 (25:06):
Yeah, wowt it it's Dot dot Dot and Juliet. They
cut Romeo right out. It's a lesbian story now and
she was a part of it. Kentanji Brown Jackson, Supreme
Court Justice of the United States.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
She had some fun. She's a theater kid apparently. Yeah. No,
it's a blessing to live in interesting times.
Speaker 10 (25:25):
Far So, Adam wants to know if you're going to
get a three by three or a four by four tonight?
Speaker 4 (25:31):
What is that?
Speaker 3 (25:32):
I don't even know what that is?
Speaker 6 (25:34):
Oh my gosh, what what is that?
Speaker 10 (25:37):
A three by three is three patties, a four by
four is four patties.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Wow, I didn't even know they had.
Speaker 6 (25:45):
Yes, that is the secret menu and in and out.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
See I am a.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Thin hamburger guy, and I would guess most people listening
now the same way he was I'm a thank kicking
me at thin hamburger just charred and in double melted off.
Speaker 6 (25:56):
It you get the double double probably.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
I like the end vigual thin ones. I don't need
to eat the whole cow. I mean, I love me so.
Speaker 10 (26:04):
Yes, So Adam's usual Adam and people. Yeah, Adam and
Trevor will usually do two three by threes each.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Wow, that is impressive. That My claim to fame is
remember they used to do They don't do these things anymore.
I don't know if it's a political correctness, but they
used to do like PiZZ eating contests, and I and
I've they had a big PiZZ eating contest that used
to be Josephine's, uh downtown on Larimer Square. I went
to watch the contest and date more than the people
(26:35):
who won it while I watched it. Yeah, so that's
that's my claim to fame. I'm looking for Linus. Where'd
Linus go? The Charlie Brown thing? I want to play
that going into the break. Do you guys have a
number on that? Where are you Charlie.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Eight or nine? Okay? Yeah, let me.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
I just want to play this going into the break
and we'll come back. We'll talk about all this serious stuff.
But you know, we haven't had that big snow in
the last few weeks, so it doesn't quite feel like
Christmas yet.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
But how about this one. I guess I really don't
know what Christmas is all about.
Speaker 10 (27:08):
Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?
Speaker 11 (27:13):
Purse HARDI Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is
all about.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Likes please.
Speaker 11 (27:20):
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in
the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo,
the Angel of the Lord came upon them. The glory
of the Lord shall round about them. And they were
sore afraid, and the Angel set unto them. If you're
not for behold, I bring your tidings of great joy,
which will be to all people. For unto you is
(27:42):
born this day in the city of David, a savior,
just Christ the Lord.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
And this shall be a sign onto you.
Speaker 11 (27:50):
You shall find the Babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying
in the manger. And suddenly there was with the Angel
a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God. I'm saying
glory to God in the highest an on earth, peace
goodwill toward me.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
That's what Christmas is all about? Try Brown.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
And now back to the Dan Kaplas Show podcast.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
I'm glad you're going out on a Christmas carol. This
is Ryan's last day before his well deserved Christmas break. Yeah,
without a big snow in the last few weeks, it
just doesn't quite feel like Christmas yet.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Does it.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
And uh, And I don't think we're going to get
a snow before Christmas, so we're gonna have to do
it in our minds. And I think I'm just going
to dedicate myself to listening to Christmas carols. Oh I
love me now and Christmas our listeners don't do that in.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
Front of the fireplace, Dan, have some egg than Are
you pro or anti eggnog? This was a topic earlier today.
I believe with the Roskominski o ron koa.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Let's see kind of coin toss, get thrown off a
bridge or drink eggnog?
Speaker 3 (28:54):
You know, could go either you could take it or
leave it. Yeah, I'd leave it.
Speaker 7 (28:57):
I am so pro eggnog. Really, I love it. I
love this time of year that comes with it. And yeah,
I put stuff in it, whether it's rummer whiskey. Yeah,
and go either way.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Yeah, well that might explain your your Philly, your infinity, infinity,
thank you, thank you.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
Tap into it now.
Speaker 10 (29:17):
Kind of a funny story. So an ode to our
friend Leland Conway. Yes over here, remember he used to
do the shots of the bourbon cream. Yep, So I
actually made mashed potatoes and I put the bourbon cream
in the mashed potatoes and I cut it with milk.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
None did that go? Bourbon cream mashed potatoes actually really
would be too.
Speaker 6 (29:41):
Sweet, and I would a little bit, but I cut
it with milk. I mean, okay, it was okay. And
I texted him this morning and he was like, what
the hell are you doing?
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Kill kill another thing I'll never try and never miss.
Don't do that.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
What would go into that bucket if things like yeah,
I'll never try and never miss cream herring or well
that yeah, drugs cream herring or if you had to
have creamed or pickled herrings, which one would it be?
Speaker 3 (30:10):
Neither? Terrible? I mean yeah, they're really awful. Yeah, Alexa
writes us.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Every cybersecurity professional I've worked with in the last five
years has said, do not get on TikTok, and I won't.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Well, unless you want to be spied on.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
I do not want, but a lot of people probably
don't care about that, right, don't you think most people
on TikTok are many know that Chinese government's watching them,
and they don't care.
Speaker 7 (30:32):
Well, one of them is our own icon, Shannon Jenna Scott.
He's big on, very big.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Ontok okay, and he probably just gives a double middle
finger to g like every time he turns it on.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
Yeah, probably literally.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Dan Colorado will never vote for Republican governor, at least
not in the near future. Shouldn't we look at Republicans
at finding a moderate Democrat to support him or her
to keep these crazy democrats out of office?
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Interesting thought.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
There is no such thing in the Colorado Democratic Party,
and nationally, there's no such thing as a moderate Democrat anymore.
There's no such thing as as a left winging Democrat anymore.
You are a far lefty or you are not in power.
In the Democratic part I'm sure there are a few
state reps who are just well like hardcore lefties, who
aren't the crazy lefties. But Colorado that's a crazy left
(31:17):
Democratic party.
Speaker 7 (31:18):
My state senator who I believe would be yours, jan
if I'm not mistaken is Jeff Bridges the dude as
I call him, and I've interviewed him and he's very open,
and I would say he's a moderate Democrat. He's a
dying breed, but he's not one. And I've had these
arguments stand up to these loons in your own party,
and he's not really eager to do.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Hey, listen, he I really enjoy him. I think he's
a great guy, but I don't think he's any kind
of moderate. No. Well, and I don't know how you
define him as matter but not a crazy guy. He's
fun to be around, but I think I think what
used to they are the best you can hope for.
The modern Democratic Party is far left, and then you
(31:56):
just get to the looney bin, right J Sputterman, You
know he I wouldn't vote for him because of life issue,
but he's impressing me a lot more. I like him, Yeah, Oh,
I like him personally. I enjoy watching his stuff, and
I appreciate some of the intellectual courage he's shown. H Dan,
We've got a couple of Texters saying Jason Crow is
going to get in that governor.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
He's not a moderate, by the wall, He's terrible. Yeah,
and he has no chance.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
He has no chance in the current Colorado Democratic Party,
which is all identity based. But let's face it, if
you are, if you've been active in the Democratic Party,
you're a person of color, your female, et cetera. You're
sitting there right now thinking that they had all these
people in power, you know, Hick and Looper, Polish Johnston,
the whole bandit, the whole bunch of them are just
lying hypocrites because and wiser they preach all this DEI stuff,
(32:46):
but then they suck the big jobs up for themselves.
So I bet, as Dick Adams talked about a little earlier,
I bet there's something really brewing in that Democratic Party.
It'll be interesting to see if they try to run
Hick and Looper out of that sentence, because obviously, and
thank goodness for the rest of us, we wish it
was a Republican. But he's just so extraordinarily ineffective. He
(33:07):
truly is just in taking up a spot so doing
less damage than then a younger, more motivated Democrat would do.
But will that day come, because we need it, We
need it soon. When you get a Republican in there.
Dan Dan, Dan should we call Jared Poulis Bratt. I
don't think that Bratt thing worked out so well.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
The Horrice campaign. The why would you say that? And
you're saying we're addressing them, and that's what you're upset about.
Speaker 5 (33:38):
Amount of speaker.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
I want you amount of speaker to address the.
Speaker 8 (33:41):
Reason that they are here. They are here because our government.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
Is tearing apart.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Can you imagine if a Republican did something that sexist,
that was to a woman who is sitting as Speaker
of the House at the time, now, decease, God rest
her soul. Joe Biden didn't realize she was deceased when
he welcomed her do an event. But besides the point,
do you any conservative would have been run out of
the office, banned from politics for life, totally, completely, totally, Well, Ryan,
(34:10):
I know we're running out of time today.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Heavy great Christmas you as well. Yeah, thank you for
just nothing better. Better.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
I'm gonna be driving and be seeing the country. And
if it runs as in Nebraska and stay in Iowa,
I'm gonna go through Illinois and then through Indiana and
out of Michigan, I go.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
You are a great American. Hope you get good weather.
Hope you get good weather, Kelly, and you will be
around right for the last few days. Okay, great, because
I'll keep doing the show through next Monday as long
as they keep card work.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
So have a safe evening and can't wait to get
together tomorrow. You're on the Dame Capital Show.
