the rates. But the great newsis with Frank durand the real Estate Man
dot Com, he'll let you knowwhat you what you can expect to get
based on his vast experience, andthere there's no obligation at all to list
three oh three ninet zero sixteen twentytwo. Got bob logan with us plumb

(01:07):
Line service is always good to talkabout home services. You know of all
the sponsorships I do home services,I know automobiles those are the ones that
get us right. I mean theplumbing, heating, cooling, electric and
drains or when it comes to carsand Bob, the biggest complaint we get

(01:30):
and you know this, and sometimesit's just a lack of understanding. Sometimes
it's I don't know, it's justthe drain work. If I had to
pick home services complaints, it usedto be furnaces. Okay, So why
do you think I'm getting And I'mnot talking about you. I'm not talking
about I'm talking about the industry.Sure, drain work. That's interesting.

(01:53):
No, No, what kind ofcomplaints. Well, here's what I get.
Like they set up I need awhole new line. Somebody else said
I just needed to do this area. Somebody else said I just needed to
do this. It could have beencleaned out. It was just roots.
And here's the thing about drains. And by the way, Crystal, I'm
going to get right to you.I promise Crystal, hold on. But

(02:15):
but here's the bottom line. Whencan you just clean it? When should
you recommend replacement? And then whenyou do, when do you replace more
than just the section that's bad?Think about those I'm going to come back
to them. Okay, those arethe main questions we're getting, Like like
a neighbor. It always happens,Bob, I know you hear this,

(02:35):
and I do a lot of talksto your staff, and I tell your
staff, I bet your buyer's remorsecomes in a few ways. The son
or daughter or neighbor or somebody seesit. Yes, what what you know?
You paid? What you did this? Then they always say this twenty
twenty hindsight right, twenty twenty visionof highsight. You didn't know, we
could have done it. We couldhave had we could have, we could

(02:58):
have, we could have. Youshould have? You should? You should
Anyway, we're gonna get to thatbecause that to me, that to me,
if you can conquer that. Andmost of the time, and I
know you guys don't do that, but most of the time it's because people
don't completely understand what they're getting, why they're getting it, and where the
cost is. That's right? Doyou do you find that? And I

(03:21):
know you can talk. I guessguys do that all the time. I
mean that's they have a whole classroomat plumb Line where they try to teach
people that go into homes. You'renot just selling something you know, first
they tell them if they don't needit, they don't need it, and
if they do, you better explainit because we don't want to get a
phone call saying they didn't understand whatthey got. If they don't understand it,

(03:44):
we don't sell it to them. They must understand it and want it.
That's right. It's all about options. It's all about communication, yes,
and they have to know. Peoplehave to know even if someone I've
said this before, there have beencases where you do every anything one hundred
and again when I say you,it's the universal you not plumbing. Where
a company does one hundred percent everythingright, it's not even a bad value,

(04:10):
but consumers are pissed. Then there'scases where the company did a terrible
job in the company and the consumerloves them, you know, because that
goes to show you that a consumertruly doesn't necessarily know all aspects of a
transaction, but they know what howthey feel. So wouldn't it be great

(04:30):
if you not only do a greatjob, but you have people feeling good
as well. If you could doboth of those, because doing one or
the other is not going to helpyou. I don't care how much great
work you do at reasonable prices, you're never going to build loyalty and people.
I swear to god, there wasone time years ago that this company

(04:55):
was busting there. So weren't ahome services company. I'm not going to
get into it, but they weredoing stuff the right way every time,
and my god, they had astring of unhappy customers and I could not
pinpoint well I did. Finally,I wondered why you got good products,
you got good prices. You knowwhat I did, Bob, I did

(05:18):
pissed off research. I call it. I actually called people and said,
you know, here's what I said. I'm consumer having good Tom Martino.
Now you know I advertised for theseguys, and I want to keep my
reputation and people are people will bea honest They want to tell me right.
And I went out and found problems. And it was weird because no

(05:39):
one knew it. But I foundeach of these sales, every one of
them had one salesperson in common. The others that were not pissed off did
not have the salesperson. Now isn'tthat weird that one salesperson was doing something
wrong. Then I had to analyzewhat it was, and it was a

(06:00):
lack of information and a lot.She was so good at doing it,
and it was floor covering, soit wasn't simply floors. It was a
while ago. This one person wasgood at what she did, but she
was so fast and good. Shewas better at sales than she was at
relationships. I've got some thoughts onthat. I'd be interested in talking more
about that, because you can beto have a good salesperson, but what

(06:24):
good are they? Well, ithappens with technicians or anybody else. And
if you need to get to acaller, we can talk about it later.
But yeah, because they're so goodat what they do, they take
for granted the information that they havein their heads, translating that's right themselves
to a customer, and they assumethe consumer knows about their furnace and air
conditioning system or their electric panels, and they just don't know what THEI knows.

(06:46):
It doesn't make them, you know, ignorant, They just don't.
They don't have the education or thetraining that the technician has. Now,
let's talk to Crystal. Crystal isan issue she believes. Now this is
a great example. Now she believesshe was overcharged for something. Jay Crystal,
what's happening with you? Crystal?I'm here, can you here?

(07:08):
Yeah? I ken? What's goingon? Well? Okay, So in
January of twenty twenty three, Ihad to bring my truck in for some
warranty and recall issues Auto Nation Ford. They're off a Broadway in County Line
considered like Park Meadows locations. Anyhow, they don't have any loaners on their

(07:30):
lot. And I've read a bunchof reviews online where a huge part of
the public is being impacted by theway that they are conducting business by Who's
seductive business, by that Potico theservice department. So they're leaving people with
babies, you know, families totend to work, to go to without

(07:53):
a vehicle, just you know,Crystal. I want to tell people listening
loaners are not part of warranty bythe way, that that's a courtesy.
But go ahead, I'm listening.Go ahead, Yeah, agreed, agreed.
But people are being promised loaners andthen not getting them, ending up
on foot for extended periods of time. So I was without my truck and

(08:16):
I have three sons. I waswithout my truck for five months, and
whoa whoa, whoa though five months? Yes, sir? Now now that
why five months? We're to holdout? That's right? And so wait,
wait, wait, let me askyou some what was what was the

(08:37):
issue you took it in for?Was it under warranty? Yes, it
was under extended warranty and it alsohad a recall issue to replace the blower
the book? Why was it?Five? No? Five months is totally
unacceptable. I mean, I thoughtyou were going to tell me, you
know, you know, maybe evenfive weeks, But what come on?
Five months? What could possibly havetaken that long? Exactly? So I

(09:01):
talked to Ford Corporate about it.Tell me what was it? Well,
it was the blower motor, andthen it was the fact that my truck
was not switching into all wheel driveand four wheel drive. But then they
told me that there were all kindsof other codes. But what was the
reason, you know, you toldme why you took it in. What
was the reason for the delay thatthey gave you no explanation? What they're

(09:26):
going? Keep going? I'm listening. So they work in tandem with Hertz
Rental next Door for their loaner system. There's only one person in the dealership
who can do those contracts, andFord Corporate reimburses because it's a franchise,
they reimburse the dealership for the loanersthat are contracted through Hurts Well. Hertz

(09:48):
said, well, we neeed yourcredit card, and then each time,
like over ten to thirty days, that I would have to extend the contract,
I would have to go down andsign resign and give another card for
fifty bucks, and they would givemy fifty bucks back each time I would,
you know, essentially turn in therental and then re rent it well

(10:09):
three months after I finally returned it. So from January of twenty twenty three
to June of twenty twenty three, when I finally permanently returned that rental three
months later, I thought everything wasfine. Three months later, Hurts out
of Nowhere charged me twenty three hundredfive dollars. Oh wait a minute,

(10:30):
hold honey, here's what I wantto ask you from the very beginning,
Crystal, And did I hear yourhusband on the phone. Yes, okay,
I want to what's his name,Cody? Cody? So I want
to ask you something. When youwent over to hurt was it with the
understanding that somehow automation would pay forthis. Yes, so Ford Corporate like

(10:56):
their bosses of the franchise. Nowyou're positive this? So Ford? You
Ford told you they would pay forit, and you have that somehow in
writing, because that's very unusual andit's very good of them. But did
you have that? In other words, are they denying it or are they
accepting it? Will they pay thetwo grand? Tell me about that part,
Sy, That's the part I'm confusedabout. Me too. And I

(11:20):
tried to well, no, no, what I mean is this? What
I mean is this? When yougot the bill? You obviously called and
said why did I get this bill? What was what was an answer?
There was no response. Who wouldn'tNo, who wouldn't Hurts or Ford?
Correct, Hurts wouldn't. Ford doesn'treply. They don't even reply to Ford.

(11:41):
So you can't get an answer. But didn't Hurt say that the bill
was being taken care of by Seewhat Hurts does is this Hurts holds you
responsible, which I understand, andthey take your credit card and then you
expect Ford to pay them. Sohave you gotten when did you get When
did you get this bill? Solisten to this. So in September,

(12:05):
after I turned it in in Juneof twenty three. In September of twenty
three, three months later, Igot that initial twenty three hundred and five
dollars charge, right, and Iwas just going to let it go because
I couldn't get a hold of anybody. But I talked to Ford Corporate multiple
times and they said you were wellwithin the criteria within the timeframe for us
to cover it, but that AutomationLocation did not file the paperwork for us

(12:31):
to reimforce it. And then onthe sixteenth of May, I got slapped
with another twenty seven hundred dollars. So this is we're talking a year later.
Okay, hold on, here's whatI want to know. The initial
charge that you got. Did youpay that one? I had to It
came right out of my account andit was and and so she So you

(12:52):
paid two thousand dollars on that oneright of roughly twenty then five, and
then you complained to Ford. Theysaid AutoNation didn't turn out the paperwork,
and then and then you got anotherbill. Yep, a year later they
hit my wait, how do youget card? How do you get another

(13:13):
bill? So what was the totalrental for the five months that's the same,
Tom. There was never a bill. It just vanished from my account.
The money just vanished. So oneyear later another another two grand came
out, Yes, sir, twentyseven hundred almost. Oh no, no,
come on, God almighty. Whatwas that for? So so so

(13:33):
far I'm reading here fifteen year old? No, forty seven almost? Okay.
So let's say five grand you paidfive what's over? So that's one
thousand dollars a month basically, Butit wasn't a month. It just came
out out of nowhere, arbternally Soso I understand that. So did you

(13:54):
contest it on your credit card?I did. I tried to go through
the fraud department and I've gotten newcards. So they hit my business credit
cardit? But did they did theytake the charge off? No? Okay,
So where do we stand right now? Where do we stand right now?
Right now? We stand? Yougo ahead? Yeah, So basically,

(14:18):
Ford Corporate told me that I needto seek legal advice and that they've
never seen anything like this. Yeah. But what wait? Wait does Ford
say? Does Ford say you wereeligible for reimbursement? Here's what I want
to know. If AutoNation had donethe proper paperwork, which, by the
way, I don't believe I thinkthat's a cop out of Ford. But
if AutoNation had filled out the properpaperwork, is Ford saying they would have

(14:43):
paid five grand? Yes, No, I don't be by the way,
I don't believe it. I don'tbelieve Ford. I don't believe AutoNation.
Hold On will come right back toyou and more. I'm Tom Martino.

you choose Frank durand the real estateman dot com to list your home with
remax Aliance three all three nine twozero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martine

(16:10):
here three all three seven one threetalks seven one three eight two five five.
Compass Insurance Group are doing insurance checkupsthree all three nine nine six nine
thousand, nine nine six nine thousandto make sure you're not under insured,
you're not over insured possibly paying toomuch or not enough coverage. It's free.

(16:32):
Three oh three nine nine six ninethousand. Hey, I have never
heard personally of Ford paying for rentals. Now. They do have some warranties
where you get some out of pocketexpenses up to seventy two dollars a day
if you have a Lincoln Navigator, but it's part of the Lincoln Navigator thing.

(16:57):
They also have forty five five dollarsa day for other Lincolns. But
unless there was a special arrangement orbecause of special things, usually they have
a Blue certified warranty. It's anextended warranty where you may get thirty five
dollars a day up to ten days. Now, this is what I'm seeing

(17:19):
from Ford. But I'm not doubtingwhat she's telling me. I'm just curious.
Then there's protected extended service plans?Does ten days of rental benefits under
no circumstances? Do I see anyprograms from Ford that would pay for five
months? Ever? And I justdon't see it? So I need.

(17:42):
What I'd like to do is fightfor your your money. But I want
to get first. I want toget something straight first first and foremost,
Did Ford not pay a dime? That's the first thing I need? Ford
or AutoNation, did any of thepay a dime toward this? And let

(18:03):
me tell you something, Crystal,Crystal, you started, Crystal, I
just need please? Did they payanything at all towards your rental? No?
They're okay, what kind of warrantydo you have? I had an
extended warranty? But what's the name. What's the name of the warranty?
Premium extended warranty? Through fore itit's for protect extent. It's probably this

(18:29):
one, the ten day one.But okay, now, another thing,
can you show us in writing anywherewhere they agreed to pay for your five
months rental or however long you haveit. So here's the thing is,
they should never have had my vehiclefor five months, but they had done
this to me in the past whereI had a mind why did they have

(18:51):
it so long? But they didthis to me in the past. They
I had it for several months therental, and they covered all the charges
because Tanya, Yeah, but rightnow, all I'm worried about is,
right now, why did they haveit for? You said they shouldn't have
had it this long? Why didthey have it this long? Was was
your car? Was your car truck? Your Ford expedition? To me?

(19:11):
Was it undrivable? That's what theysaid. That's what Adam Solano with their
service department. See. But andI also don't know of any extended warranty
on A twenty sixteen. So thishappened in twenty three, so that would
have been seventeen eighteen, nineteen, twenty twenty one, twenty two twenty that's
seven years later. So what warrantydid you have? That's the thing.

(19:34):
They kept it past my extended warrantybecause in March, well, no,
I don't, you said it wasin twenty twenty three. Crystal, A
lot of your story doesn't make senseto me. I just wanted to make
sense. I'm not arguing with you. You had a twenty sixteen hold on.
You said the problem came up forseven years. Crystal, you had

(19:56):
a seven year warranty. Okay,so seventeen in eighteen, nineteen, twenty
twenty one, twenty two. Youknew when I bought it it was a
certified pre owned Okay, Crystal.I need to see something in writing because
we can't we can't possibly go afterFord. Okay. I don't need it
all. I don't need it all. This is what I need I need.

(20:18):
Give me your email and I'll sendthis this thirty long email. I
want the one where they say they'regoing to pay. I want to see
the one where they're going to payfor your rental. That's the one,
because there's going to be an easyway to get this money back, whether
they filled out the paperwork or not. And that small claim score. If

(20:38):
you have something saying they're going topay for your rental and they didn't,
you're going to win. I don'tcare what they say. AutoNation has a
Colorado agent, You're going to servethem and you're going to win. You're
absolutely going to win, but wemay be able to get to check for
you first, So send Kelly, give her. I'm going to mark this
as pending. All I need todo is proof because under normal circumstances,

(21:03):
all I'm saying, Crystal and Codyis not that I don't believe you.
I am telling you Nowhere do theyever say they will do this unless it
was special for you. That's whatI have to see in writing. And
if we don't, we can't fight, and you're gonna lose in small claim
score. But we'll try. Uh. Three oh three seven one three.

(21:26):
Talk Katie, what's going on withyou? Katie? Welcome to the show.
What's happening? Hi, Katie?Okay, Hi, it's a bit
of a long story. Okay, start, just start and I'll listen.
Okay. I have a special newschild who is on the autism spectrum.

(21:47):
So we originally had lived up inGreeley and my son had endured some abuse
and neglects from a teacher there.I mean, we went, it was
absolute hell up there. We endedup moving down to Jefferson County because we
were told that we would have moreresources down here. So we moved.

(22:10):
Who told you that? So likethe community board that we were working with.
Okay, So what happened in jeffwas up in Greeley and goldbound.
So my son was on homebound dueto the abuse that Now, when you
say abuse, Katie, how badwas it? Was it physical abuse?

(22:30):
So here's the thing is that myson has an expressive language delay. And
the only reason I found out whatwas going on was because I had a
neighborhood kid go into his bathroom andI was like, I just tell me
what's going on? Like, tellme what everything that you see? And

(22:52):
so Gabriel's the only way to copewith what the teacher was doing to him
was he was throwing up over twentyone times a day. That we're talking
about a nine year old boy,Okay, And so what were they doing?
What were they doing to him?Do you know? Or was he
just not coping? Well I don't, I don't really know, okay,

(23:15):
but he was very unhappy and extremelyWe're talking like ripping my shirt, massive
meltdown, like don't leave me typesituation and gotcha. So, okay,
so you moved to Jefferson County andhe was home being he was you were
keeping him home for a while, and then what happened, So we had

(23:38):
Jeff Coo orth so, I'm sorry, COVID hit. So Jeff Coo would
not accept the IEP in Greeley, and so during the heat of COVID,
they had the online programs going andI'm like, okay, you know what
it is, what it is,I'm just going to try and make the
best of it. And well whatis that Wait? Wait, Katie,
Katie, you're assuming I'm going tounderstan and what you're saying. So during

(24:00):
COVID, it is what it is. You're going to do the best you
can tell me what that means. So what that means is I was unhappy
with the placement that they had putGabriel in. So the district is legally
responsible for proper placement, and sowhat they did was they threw him into
this j r LP, which iswell, okay, but what during COVID

(24:25):
are you talking about? Now?Yeah, okay, go ahead, yah,
during during COVID, so we gotstuck with this j r OP program
and once COVID ended, so Ihad called Tammy Hurtado, who works Now,
now, listen, I don't needa lot of detail. But here's
what I need to know. Okay, and I have to take a break.

(24:47):
I need to know the gist ofthis. Now. You said during
COVID he was put in a program. After COVID, I assume he went
into another program. You know, they they kept him in the same program.
Okay, hold on and we'll comeback to that. Hold on,
Katie. What I'd like to knowis what the problem is today, since
COVID was like three or four yearsago. So let's talk about that part.

(25:10):
And I really want to help Katie, But I but I sometimes I
think what happens is you think weneed all the details at first. We
don't. At first, we justneed to know the general story and then
we'll go into detail or have oneof our deputies look into it. Three

Yes, sir, give us somewisdom. Come on quick. Well
this Trump trials still going, man, That's what I got to say.
I cannot believe he's not out onthe campaign trail. Yorg's got him stuck
in there. Oh was that aShannon? Was that your sound effect of

(26:49):
a jail door? Oh? Celldoor? You're so stupid anyway, So,
and then how about this, howabout the President of I ran croaking
in that helicopter crash. Yeah, that's that's terrible. That's unbelievable. Man.
I think Israel had I asked forthat matter, had anything to do

(27:11):
with it. You know, that'sthe very first thing I thought was CIA.
But god, I mean, it'syou who knows. I mean,
it's the very first thing I thoughtof. But they said he flew.
It reminded me a little of theKobe Bryant helicopter crash. They said it
was foggy and he flew directly intoa mountain. I mean that sucks,

(27:33):
you know. I just listen.I am not one of these people that
look back on things. Oh wow, how the hell are you? You
know this? No, it allpilot kind of stuff. But man,
I just don't understand why that happens, that that proceeding into bad weather.
Why I don't understand it. Ijust don't, truly, And anyway,
I digress. I mean, ifI don't know, I haven't been on

(27:56):
YouTube for my morons. But hisdeputy chopper there, he could weigh in
on that. He has way moreexperience than I do, although although he's
been retired. Awhile, hey,Katie, I want to know this,
Okay, this is what I wantto know when you came to Jefferson County.

(28:19):
Of course, we can't count COVIDbecause COVID sucked for everyone, but
after COVID. He tell me aboutafter COVID and what you're unhappy about today?
Go ahead for your son. Andby the way, for those listening,
I can't even imagine the hardship parentshave when they have a child with

(28:41):
disabilities of any kind, intellectual, physical, whatever, because you know,
I know what it is when youjust have a little problem with a child
who's completely a one, healthy accordingto all standards. So I don't even
know, and that's why I wantto try to help relieve some of this
pressure if we can. But Ineed to get to what happened after COVID

(29:02):
and why are you still unhappy?Okay, so they made him fail an
entire year before they gave him apara. He finally got a parrot.
And then I tried and tell us, tell us what a parent is,
tell us what a para is.Sure, A para professional is somebody that

(29:22):
is hired by the district to bea one on one support for a special
needs child. So that is meansthat they're supposed to abide by all modifications
and accommodations written within the light, written within the I e P. Which
is a legal binding document, andthat's an individual education, so correct.

(29:45):
Yes, So she the straw thatbroke the camel's back was she was on
a call with my son and thethreatened to come to his house, take
him to the and show them whatthe hood was really like. So I
called the principal at GENERALP. Imade a complaint and they brought up his

(30:11):
attendance and in general Katie in John, I had let me ask something,
Katie, and I know you cometo this really frustrated. Let me just
ask you, in general, arethere specific things right now you're upset with
or do you think the entire programbasically has let you down? The entire

(30:32):
program So basically they're not abiding bythe I E. P. They've broken
federal and state law. And againGabriel has indured abuse. That's that's now,
what kind of abuse? This isthe thing I'm concerned about. What
kind of abuse? Oh, theycalled him a deadbeat. They just provoked

(30:57):
him, can you hear me?Okay, no, no? They literally
wait a minute, are you tellinghow old is he? By the way,
nine nine sixteen? And you're tellingme that they're calling his teachers and
the people in the program are callinghim names. Yep, Do you have

(31:21):
any proof of that, I suredo. Okay, what kind of proof

in the very beginning where we talkedabout there. I told them some of
the problems we get, some ofthe main problems we're getting on home services
now and it has been this forabout a year or so. Our drains.

(33:38):
I think the main problem with drainsis that people don't understand what they're
getting or why they need it,and then there's a discussion as to what
they need. So first, let'stake the clearing out of the drain.
Drains can be cleared, but theynot necessarily it's not better, Okay,

(34:01):
So when do you want Just becauseroots get into a drain doesn't mean it
should be replaced. In an idealword world, maybe but not. I
don't know what do you think?Like? Can't you just clear out weeds
inside a drain and not replace it? You can? You can also do
repairs to an engine with three hundredthousand miles on it. Okay, now,

(34:22):
but here's what I want us toget to. If you can clear
out a drain bob for three hundreddollars, it's sure as hell beats twelve
grand. That's true. But andso all the older drain systems, at
least the majority of them around Colorado, were made out of a clay tile
similar to what you'd see a claypot that you put flowers in. Yeah,

better than that good water waterpros dotMan three h three eight six two five
five five four. Speaking of water, I have plumb line services with us,
and we ended the hour by talkingabout just some drain repairs and drain

(36:15):
line issues. And by the way, this is the season most people have
drain issues because of rains and becauseof weeds and because of growth of roots,
and for some reason, well notfor some reason, but as nature
would have it, you have moreof that in the spring and summer.
And so the biggest complaint we getis did the whole first? Did it

(36:37):
even need replacing? You know? And again in a perfect world, it's
like asking a chiropractor do you needan adjustment? Of course you do,
but do you you know? Ora doctor who does you know? Concierge
medicine, do I need supplements?Well, of course you do, but
do you you know? I mean, obviously you couldn't make improvements so on

(37:00):
a drain if you have weeds. To me, Bob, I wouldn't be
anxious to replace a drain line ifI just had weeds, unless they keep
coming back every year. But ifI could go to three or four years,
I don't know if I'd replace itnow, I don't know. What
do you think? You know alot of our a lot of our clients
do exactly what you do. Andif you've never experienced a backup, that's

(37:23):
that's technically I don't have one.I'm just saying personally, I think that
I would evaluate the cycle, andmost people do. Most people want to
put and it doesn't matter if it'sdrains or furnaces or water heres or anything
else. You know, typically youwant to maintain and you want to try
to get by it for the leastamount of cost. That's why I think

(37:44):
it's important. Very rarely is thereone option. Now, of course,
if somebody's telling you there's one andonly option, there's a there's very few
cases that that's the case. Sotypically we try to give options. You
know, you can maintain it,you can continue to clean it, you
can do a spot repair at thespot where it's bad. If you never
want to deal with this again, you can replace the whole. Those are

(38:06):
the issues I'm going to talk about, like three oh three seven to one
three talk by the way, sevenone three A two five five. We
got bob Logan with us from PlumbineServices. But we'll talk about anything you
want. A lot of things comeup that I think bear repeating. One
thing. We we just constantly arebattling this dream thing. Is it dishonesty?
Is it honesty? Is it tooexpensive? Is it not expensive enough?

(38:29):
Are you just you know, isit better to do it all and
get it over with or you know. And one thing I do want to
say, though, here's a blanketstatement. You can get homeowners insurance for
sewer backups and all that. Neverever buy sewer line coverage. It does
not work. I'm talking about whenyou get this notice in the mail that

(38:50):
you can cover your water and sewerlines for four ninety five well or twelve
ninety five a month or whatever.Don't ever they I don't know. Have
you ever had one services pay fora drain for people? Not once?
Not once, now once. Andwe do more sewerd line replacements and repairs
than anybody in the state. Youhave your own division, Yeah, we'll

(39:10):
do over fifteen hundred replacements this year. So we do more than anybody in
the state. Never, not asingle time, has a home warranty company
covered it. Oh my god.Wow, and you heard it first folks
on the Troubleshooter show. Now let'stalk about this then, Okay, So
we say with weeds, you gotlook, you got to be reasonable if

(39:32):
it if it's clogging over of sixmonths or a year, or you're getting
backups, that's one thing. Andthen then when you have a shift to
belly or problem. Can you spotrepair? When do you spot? And
when do you do the whole thing? That's another thing we get a criticism
and they say, well, youdidn't need this, you just needed this,

(39:52):
little lady, So when do youdo the spot? When do you
do the whole line? Sure?So many times if the us of the
line looks pretty good and there's justone either a crack in the line,
maybe it's coming through a joint orsomething damage it maybe, then then a
spot repair might make perfect sense. If the rest of the line looks good.
And what might push that forward isif you do not have outside cleanouts.

(40:15):
So a lot of the older homesdon't have outside cleanouts. That way
for ongoing maintenance, they don't haveto bring those big, dirty machines into
your house. They can access theline from the outside. So that's a
good time to do a spot repair. Okay, And you guys can tell
with cameras the condition pretty much ofthe other before and after the break with

(40:37):
shut out, and we'll have thehomeowner right there with us showing them the
whole thing, walking them through them, explaining what the condition of the pipe
is. You know why we suggestcertain things and then as far as spot
repairs. When we say spot repairs, are we talking about what ten feet
twenty feet? I mean what theycould be pretty big too. Usually usually

(40:58):
it's ten feet or less. Otherwise, if you're gonna go do all that
work, maybe you go with thewhole thing. Yeah, and again you
can depending on the conditional line, you can do everything from the house to
the sidewalk to save you some money, because once you get in the street,
that's when it gets really expensive.Or the basement or or or the

(41:21):
basement, Yes, when you gotto start breaking up. How often under
the basement is it bad? Quiteoften? And a lot of that has
to do with you know, kitchenlines that go down there, the grease
and god, and they you can'tjust clean that out. The cast iron
again to an extent, but especiallyif you got you know, the cast
iron pipes down there, they're they'regoing to crude over time. Okay,

(41:44):
So when did they stop using castiron? And what what's the best material
to have? PVC? Yeah,PVC or a form of PVC SDR.
There's a lot of different names anddifferent types. So when do they stop
using the crap, the tile, the iron? About about the seventies is
when they started to shift over toplastic. Seventies early eighties is when builders

(42:06):
started to shift into the plastic lines. Okay, So if you had a
home in the late eighties, there'sa pretty good chance you got a pretty
good line. Yeah, I mean, plastic in and of itself, it's
gonna last seven hundred years. Sookay, there's not a whole lot of
that go wrong with the plast shiftingof the ground, shifting of the ground,
damage from heavy equipment, other things, what other things would cause it,

(42:27):
or from internal from you screwing itup workmanship. There's not a whole
lot you can do to screw itup, I mean, okay, because
you could pretty much clear it right, okay, Yeah, I mean even
if you're putting stuff down the drainthat you should not be putting down there.
Yes, typically you can get itcleared. Okay. So really most

(42:51):
of the drains when you do allof that drain work. There are pre
eighties homes or pre nineties, manyof them are not all of them because
again could be workmanship. So thereare some new ones that need redone,
yes, but it's pretty rare, and bellies are probably more bellies, meaning
they did not properly prepare the ground. So the line, if you can

(43:13):
picture it going, they usually wantto bed that line. And when I
say betted, do they put gravelunder Put gravel underneath it to keep it
stable, compact and then put gravelto keep it stable. But if you
don't, that thing will slope overtime. You get a belly or a
droop is a better word maybe thana belly droop. And so when you
get that, that's when you'll experiencesome backups because things will get hung up

(43:35):
in that belly. So one thingI will tell you for sure, I
don't care who you get to yourhome. You need a second opinion.
And make sure you get a video. Make sure when they give you the
video that they're filming where they're startingfrom, So either outside in your yard
or in your mechanical room. Makesure that it's your video and they're not

(45:52):
talk seven one three eight two fivefive, give us a call if you
have a problem, question and complateryou need help, and uh and do
I have a lot of questions comingin on text for some reason, And
Bob, as far as as somebodywants to know, as far as the
basement thing, are there any waysyou can do those modern ones that you

(46:12):
talked about, those hocus pocused onesin the basement that to me is where
you need it the most. Andwhen we talk about hocus pocus, let's
talk about and that's my joking term, my choke term for it. But
they're modern ways to replace without digging. So can you bullet or pull or
feed underneath the foundation without tearing thedamn thing up that basement or anything?

(46:36):
When you're talking about a line that'ssmall, it's pretty rare. I know,
we do, we do. Whatyou're called talking about is called bursting,
and we do that quite a bitout in the yard. You can
burst or or line the pipes. So those are two other options that we
always look at. And again everyevery situation is a little bit different based

(46:58):
on the condition of your line.So the best thing to do is just
get an expert out there, giveyou an evaluation of what's going on,
and give you some options on whatmight be best for you. Because for
one person bursting might be the wayto go, for another person, it
might not be the best option.Okay, so what other options we have.
Bursting is where you literally pull somethingthrough it and it destroys the old

(47:22):
pipe as it goes through, layingthe new one right now. This again
is another reason why you might wantto be proactive and replace the line rather
than continuing to clean it, becauseonce it collapses, you got no choice.
But you can't burst it right,so it has to be opened to
run it. So you basically runa cable down through the line from the

(47:44):
other side o sid and then youpull from the house out correct and we
attach what we call a bursting head. It looks like a gigantic well it
really just goes through and it reallyjust God, that's the force involved.
So it moves the dirt out ofthe way, and it moves the the
old pipe. It cracks the oldpipe while pulling the new pipe through it

(48:05):
at the same time. Right, right, man. And it's a lot
like watching grass grow. I mean, it's you know, there's nothing super
excited about slow. It's it's prettyslow. Yes, yeah, you can't.
I mean you can't just pull it, you know, yeah, yeah,
yeah, So it's not like right, it works off hydraulics and it's
a pretty slow process. But evenwhen I say slow, I mean we

(48:27):
get in there and get out ina day. But you don't dig up
the house. You dig two holesone typically, if we're doing the whole
line, it's typically right next tothe house and then out in the street.
But then if it's the house,if it's from the house inward though,
that's where it gets really complicated.Yeah, it does get more complicated,
and we don't do a lot ofbursting inside the house. Okay,
Now there are other options like whatis that one? Isn't there a liner

(48:53):
pipelining? Yes? Okay? Canyou line clay though? And that kind
of you can yes, and againit all as on the condition. So
so basically think of it like ayou know, like those balloons that they
used to make balloon animals out ofokay, long long, thin plaid rubber

(49:13):
or rubber eyed like like that.So so you pull that through, so
they put it right, they'll putan epoxy on the on the balloon,
I'm gonna call it, and thenpull it through the line and then they'll
inflate it. And then once it'sinflated, it had a curing process where
it's fall right and it's a brandnew pipe and it basically gives it though

(49:35):
the walls or does it? Doesit? Just mean it's it's fairly it's
fairly thin, but it reinforces theold one, right exactly? Does it
last? Uh? It does?It does, and it should last quite
a while. But why when, why wouldn't everyone do that? Why would
you choose the bursting? Then?Well, it's it's not necessarily less expensive

(49:58):
than bursting. No, it's justanother option. It's just another option.
Are those the only two non excavatingoff for the most part? Yes?
Yeah, And what do they callthat lining? Lining? Pipeline? Well,
when would you recommend lining when we'drecommend bursting. For goodness sakes,
it again it all access is abig part of it. And then in
some of the smaller, smaller lines, we'll typically do a lining liner rather

(50:22):
than a burst. All right, three zero three seven one three talk is
our number? Three oh three sevenone three eight two five five. I
don't know, and you probably haveheard of this, but right now the
fast food industry is in crisis. Now why Okay, my YouTube morons can

(50:44):
even answer that. Why, well, there are they The value has gone
out of it. One of thereasons people would go there is for value,
and even Starbucks is suffering from thisand everyone. But basically what they're
saying is they have to win backcustomers and they have to in some cases
even have lost leaders and then hopepeople will pick something else. But they're

(51:07):
trying now to give certain discounts becausewhat people used to spend four and five
bucks on is up to sixteen seventeendollars, mainly because of labor. Now
that doesn't mean you shouldn't pay people. I don't want to hear all that
crap, but you know, there'sa certain amount of reasoning that should go

(51:30):
into pricing. There are jobs Ibelieve that are not meant to be careers.
They're not meant to support an entirefamily. They're not meant to that.
Not every job is meant to supporta family. Because whenever I hear
a discussion about wages, you hearthis, well, how can anyone a
wife, and if you have awife and two kids, support a family
who can't can't? And and minimumwage was meant as just that entry into

(51:58):
the workforce, not career, notcareer. And I know it's far less
than normal college educated or trades careers, but at the same time, you
can't have it at a level whereit then starts hurting people. Because here's
what's happening in the fast food industry. Now. You would think, oh,

(52:21):
we're going to just raise the prices, and that's what they've done,
by the way, and then we'regoing to all be honky dory. But
guess what, the very people whohave jobs that are minimum wager lower are
now not able to go to thoserestaurants. They can't afford them. So
now you've taken away options on thelower cost foods, and not only taken

(52:44):
away options for them, but you'retaking away jobs. Why is that There
is not one fast food chain, not one that has not been experimenting with
AI and kiosks and automatic delivery systems. So they're doing a way with workers.
So you see, we always getthis thought, oh, I know

(53:07):
what we're going to do. We'rejust going to We're just going to increase
wages. But then guess what happens. The labor force goes down and the
accessibility to your product goes down oryour service. So I have this expressions
never failed me. Life is itsown teacher. Whenever you screw with one
thing, something else happens. Nowthat doesn't mean we can't make slight improvements,

(53:31):
but I think it gets to apoint of ridiculousness. And I don't
have to prove it. All youhave to do is look at the results.
Right now, less people are beinghired in the fast food industry,
less more and more automation is beingimplemented, and we are going to actually
create fewer jobs. So we've donejust the opposite of what we want to

(53:52):
do. We want to create moreplentiful, better paying jobs. What we're
doing is creating less paying jobs.I mean, are less plentiful paying jobs.
And we're also taking out of thereach of lower wage earners. Low

You know, I happen to betalking to Bob off the air here
and we just happen to talk about, you know, Jim's athletic clubs.
And I don't know if if alot of people do that. I mean,
I think it's more popular than everand I just want to ask something.

(55:23):
I might have brought this up before. I used to bring up stuff
about gyms all the time. Theone thing I used to bring up was
excessive nakedness. But that that's kindof like who cares? Right? But
and I used to say, theolder the men, the more they like
to prance around naked and scratch themselves. God's honest truth. I swear to

(55:43):
God. It's like, please, you're hideous. Also, I have another
theory, just because it grows doesn'tmean it's natural or should grow. You
should. There's something called grooming. But I want to get into that.
I'm not going to get into thelocker room. I want to get into
the exercise floor. And I'm serious. Now I want to ask a good
question for those who go to gyms. Are you sick and tired of what?

(56:07):
I'm sick and tired of? Now? What I do? I do
workouts where I like to get everybody. I do a complete body every other
day and so I have a dayof rest and I like to start.
There's certain muscle groups, right youhave without getting to you know, you
have your buys, your tries, you have your legs. You're all different

(56:28):
just groups. There are groups ofmuscles. And then what you do is
you want to do a succession ofyou want to start and do a there's
a certain routine you have, sofor the back you might have three back
ex as. I say, so, you know, you want to do
your reps and move on. Andthis myth about resting in between is be

(56:50):
asked by the way, But that'sokay. I don't mind if people rest
thirty seconds a minute in between. But here's the trend at health clubs.
And I thought it was just ourhealth club. And then my membership allows
me to go to others, soI was able to observe. And it's
all over and I don't know whypeople are putting up with it, and
I can't be the only one whocares. Now I'm serious, Now,

(57:12):
I swear to God, I wantto scream. People will get on a
machine, a leg machine, Ihave abs, it doesn't matter, pick
it, biceps, curls, youknow, and they do a couple of
reps or you know, whatever theydo, if they do ten, twenty
twenty four, whatever, and thenthey stop and they sit there and pick

(57:36):
up their phone and start texting peopleor talking to people. And I know
what they're doing. They're resting inbetween their reps. But instead of resting
thirty seconds to a minute, theyliterally sit there sometimes five or six minutes
and you're trying to work out right, And so I've gotten to a point.

(57:57):
I used to be try to bepolite or something, and now I
just I just say something. Isay, dude, if you're going to
be on your phone, how aboutI work in there? And they actually
kind of get pissed, like, well, I'm not done, and I
say, but you're on I literallyhave I'm not polite anymore. Now I'm
not a jerk. I mean,I don't yell. I say, but

(58:19):
come on, man, you're onyour phone. Okay, go on your
phone. I'll be done. I'mgonna white. I'm going to rip out
one hundred reps before you even knowit. I'll be done, okay,
because I do twenty five four totwenty five's at certain weights, and I
do them quickly because I want notquickly where you're using momentum, but quick

(58:39):
enough where I have a little aerobicthing going on. But has anyone noticed
that or is it just me?How about you, Shannon? Last time
you were at a gym was whatsixty years ago? But here here's the
deal. Does anyone notice my YouTubewarns you notice it at all? Any
of them. I swear to god, people are so you're right. This

(59:01):
one guy says they are. Uh, they're like inconsiderate. And I'm not
some big muscle bound musclehead kind ofyou know, give me the roids and
let me work out. I'm notinto that, but just work out.
In fact, I don't care ifyou know, I don't mind a lot

(59:21):
of people. They don't want togive up a machine. They don't want
to give up a machine. Ifthey are doing you know, four sets,
right, they might rest in between. I don't care if they rest
a minute. I don't care ifyou're resting. But inevitably they will pick
up their phone in between. Andit's not like they're changing a song.

(59:42):
Okay, if you can pick yourphone up during that minute of rest or
thirty seconds of rest, by theway, a minute of rest way too
much. You want you want athirty seconds or less. You want thirty
seconds. You just want to keepthat. You want to get near exhaustion
on that on that muscle, andyou want to get that anaerobic and going.
But here's the deal. You pickup your phone and you start texting,

(01:00:06):
and then they start chuckling, andthen they start, you know,
and then and by the way,men are the worst. Okay, Now
women get pretty bad too. Wherewomen are bad is like they like forget
where they are and they're in theirroutine. They're like la la la,
and I'm sitting there and I swearto God, one time I saw a
woman on a leg press machine. They make love to it. They're there

(01:00:29):
forever, They're there like, andI'm thinking, this is not your boyfriend,
this is a machine. This isThey do these slow reps. They
do like three of them and thenwait ten minutes and do three more and
then they then they get up andtake a drink, but they stand next
to it so you can't get onit. And God almighty, am I
am I the only one? Iknow? I'm serious? Now? Am

(01:00:52):
I the only one? Or?Have you noticed this crap? This is
like the worst thing, Bob.Do you ever go to Do you ever
go to a GYMG? Have younoticed it? Or not? Tell me
the truth? If you have it? Maybe maybe I am being a jerk.
I don't think of being a jerk. Tom. Have you noticed you're
exaggerating a little bit? No,I'm not. I wish I was exaggerating.
No, you're right. I mean, and I think you know,

(01:01:15):
with technology in our phones these days, a lot of people do that.
But you're right. Thirty seconds aminute, answer your email, answer your
text, but don't bring your phoneon the floor. Just be considerate of
the people around you if you getcaught. What drives me crazy is the
people that think it's social hour. One person sitting on the machine and on

(01:01:35):
the other one's leaning on the machinenext to them, and they're talking for
thirty minutes. I know it.And and what's really weird is when you
go up and say could I pleasework in here? Can I? They
they make it, They make youfeel weird about it. Now. I
literally went to management privately and said, could we like have a rule,
like like, let's have a rulethat you don't you can't have now.

(01:01:57):
No, they say, well,we can't forbid phones on the floor.
I said, okay, but howabout this. You can't use your phones
while you're working out. You know, set your music if you want to
set your music, and if youwant to change your music, get off
the damn machine while you're hunting fora song to Bailey. Okay, Karen
Mark, Now you know, seriously, does it really sound like like that

(01:02:20):
to you. But does this soundlike a petty complain to you? No,
I'm serious. If I'm really serious, if you were working out and
this was happening, you wouldn't putup with it. If I was working
there and you came up to meand wanted for people not to have their
phones with them, I'd call you, Karen. What I meant was they
should not be holding up machines whenthey're on their phones. That's all there

(01:02:44):
is to it. Now, Idon't all be on their phones in the
movies or at dinner or anywhere else. It doesn't matter. They're no.
No. But what I'm saying isyou're what you're doing is you're using a
machine that someone else could use whileyou're on the phone. That's just playing.
That's just plaining politeness. No onein the world can think that's right

(01:03:06):
to sit there using your phone.I mean, it's just not right.
I'm not saying you shouldn't use yourphone. I don't give a damn off
people use their phone. I justthat you don't sit on the machine while
you're talking to your friend or textingor LMO. Yeah laughing, my ass
mine would think that that's right. But common courtesy has gone completely out the

(01:03:27):
window, Tom, and not justat the gym. Common courtesy exists.
Now. Now here's one I've justgiven up on. And this is not
this is a little karen ish okay, And this one I don't have a
right to say, don't do itright? But have you ever noticed?
No, I'm serious, now,God, I can't be the this is
under the category. It can't bethe only one. Now, this one,

(01:03:47):
though, I can't. There's nothinglike I don't want to make a
demand. I mean, people dowhat they want to do. But have
you ever ever ever wanted to parkand you see someone and they get in
their car. They started up,they even put it in reverse. You
see the reverse lights. But whatdo they do sit there? And why
their phones? They're going through alltheir texts. Oh my god, I'm

(01:04:12):
thinking phones are really, really, really really a problem. Another thing I
noticed, and I'm not kidding onthis one. I have noted. I've
started looking at people when I'm gonepast them. I happen to glance into
the cockpit when they're alongside me,just for a second or two. They're
on their phones, texting, mostlyyoung people. I've not seen older people

(01:04:38):
do it all I do. Okay, if I want to text someone while
I'm driving, I simply put myknees on them. Wee. No,
I'm just kidding. Now. WhatI do is I have the verbal thing,
you know, Siri, text Mark, Hey, Jared, what are
you doing? But I don't.I swear to god, I have watched

(01:04:59):
these people. They have both handson their phone and on their steering wheel
and they're texting while they're driving. That scares the living hell out of me.
Or it's done in their lap,and there can't be should there be?
And I'm serious about this, shouldn'tthere be a technology that doesn't allow
texting while you're driving? I mean, we have got We've gotten no long

(01:05:19):
for so many years without texting anddriving. I mean, come on,
people texting and driving, just callthem, you know, with your hands
free call them. Okay, Sogo ahead, Mark, that's all Karen?
Right? No, I don't know, man, I mean I don't
know. I don't know how toanswer that. My car drives itself,

(01:05:42):
but the texting and driving is aproblem. I mean that's I don't know
the statistics. How about when thecar's driving? Come on, Bob,
what happens when the car's driving. You mean you mean not everybody has that
technology? Yeah, but well Iimagine this. It is way safer of
the car drives itself, for sure, if you can. But how about
a novel idea like stuf about womenputting on makeup? How about guys eating

(01:06:05):
an ice cream cone? I meanthere's a thousand things outside of texting people
do all the time. Yeah yeah, what would you rather have someone texting
with one hand while they're driving orputting on lipstick looking in the mirror?
How about neither? I usually putmy lipstick on at the stop light.

(01:06:26):
Well, but isn't it funny? No, but for real, isn't it
funny? How one of them isa crime and the other isn't a crime.
No, they're both distracted driving andthey're gonna go. Texting has its
own rules. Well, they allshould have a rule, of course they
should. I agree. I lastlady that hit us slammed into us,
screaming at her kids in the backseat, ran a red light, almost

(01:06:47):
killed us. That's ridiculous. I'mserious, No, I mean distracted.
No. I once talked to alady who she was a guest on the
show years ago at common women.I belie even she we're in a mortgage
company. Her husband was killed byhe was running along. He was a
runner and somebody was texting and theyliterally killed them. I mean, you

(01:07:13):
think about this, and why dopeople think they can text while they're driving?
I mean that's insane. I mean, I know people can and people
do, but that doesn't mean it'sright. For God's sakes, but you'd
be shocked how many people do it. And you know from the YouTube warns
you know you should shut up becauseto say that this is grumpy. It's

(01:07:38):
not grumpy. It's common sense, for God's sakes, I'm serious, and
it's common courtesy. But anyway,Oh, but I also had a first
where I held the door open.I hold doors open for men and women.
I don't care if somebody's walking towardthe door at the same time,
I'll open it up and let themgo first, right, I mean,

(01:07:59):
just who cares? Right? Butthis was the first woman had to be
in her thirties. What do youthink I'm lame? Now? I said
no. And then next time, you know, I had this twice so
far, and uh, she said, are you doing this because I'm a

Welcome to the show. Three Othree seven one three talk seven one

take complaints, make your life alittle easier no matter what. That's
what we do and we've been doingit for years. All you have to
do is call us at three ohthree seven one three talk three O three
seven one three eight two five fivegood news, no more routine traffic stops.

(01:11:25):
By the way, I got BobLogan with me from Plumbline Services and
he's sitting in We were talking aboutsome household services and oh uh, speaking
of consumer news. By the way, I just posted the thing about gap
insurance because that's a big misunderstood thing. Gap insurance doesn't cover what you think
it does. So many people havegotten burned by that. I mean,

(01:11:47):
in fact, more people get burnedby it than helped by it. Gap
insurance. You heard that it helpspay off the car when your car is
not worth what you owe on Itnot true. It only goes to one
hundred and fifteen to one hundred andtwenty five percent of that of the then

(01:12:08):
current value, and it does notpay off your loan. It might pay
off your loan if you paid agreat price for your car, but in
most cases does not pay of foryour loan because most people do not buy
their car right. They overpay orthey have negative equity going into their car.

(01:12:29):
What is negative equity? It's themistake you made in the past buying
cars. So when you make amistake and then you want to get another
car, you take the part that'snot paid off on the old car and
put it on the loan for thenew car, and it keeps going.
It's called the negative snowball, negativeequity snowball. Well, gap insurance isn't
stupid. They're not going to say, well, oh yeah, you made

(01:12:51):
stupid mistakes. We're going to coveryou for that. Now they won't.
So just I just wanted to throwthat in as an aside, posted something
on that. But anyway, wewere talking about all kinds of problems,
question complaints. But in the newsthis one you may have heard that Denver
police And by the way, thisis being picked up by other police departments.

(01:13:15):
No more low level traffic violations. And they're not going to stop for
expire tags. You're not going tobe stopped for a headlight out. You're
not going to be stopped for brakelights out. You're not going to be
stopped for failure to signal, nothinglike that. Okay, you're only going
to be stopped for sigzagging, likeunder the influence, speeding, if you

(01:13:41):
run a red light or stop signs, that's considered dangerous or reckless driving,
careless driving, but no, seeand stop basically where you're driving normal,
but they stop you for something else. They will not do that any longer.
And that includes you know, notyou know, stopping so called suspicious

(01:14:08):
people. And that's the way itis. So a lot of people like
that. I mean, I guessI like it. I mean, why
would you stop now? No,I'm all for stopping speeders, people running
red lights and all that. Maybereckless driving which would include tailgating or stuff.
But you're not going to be stoppedfor minor violations. But Mark,

(01:14:29):
I think if he's still there,he brought up the other day, I
think he said. I think itwas him who said, well, then
why would you bother ever registering thecar again? Because they're not going to
stop you for expired plates? Yeah, that's what they say, man,
And didn't you say that? Mark? Like, why bother spending all that
money? I don't know why youwould. It's crazy. They're not going

(01:14:53):
to stop you for it. Well, I guess if you leave Denver they'll
stop you still. It's just youknow, well, no, but other
police departments are creating I did LiberalLand, and you don't have to renew
your plates now and then and anyway. That brings up the topic of auto
insurance. It's not just Colorado, but all over the country auto insurance rates

(01:15:14):
are up, big, big, big, big time, twenty six percent
average, twenty six percent. Bob, have you noticed on any renewals on
what you're paying for insurance? Now? Well, I'm such a good driver
and I don't speak and don't gettickets, and so my rates haven't gone
out that much. Are you sure? I'm just kidding? No, no,
big, because even good driver,I mean just normal, they're going

(01:15:36):
normally, they're going, they're goingup and that's something now according to so
you won't be pulled over, whichis good for that. But did you
know, now, this is whatI find shocking. In the top ten
most dangerous cities in Colorado, thisis where I find shocking. Do you

(01:15:58):
know what came in in the topten? Greenwood Village really top ten in
Colorado? Top ten dangerous or ofcrime crime city is dangerous according to statistics,
the most dangerous property crimes Greenwood Village. Well, actually at ten is

(01:16:19):
Trinidad. Nine is Greenwood Village,So I mean it's up there, but
it's in the top ten. Doyou know this is another look at look
what's say loan Tree? Wow?Yeah, why is that? With murders
and property crimes? Okay? Andnow we're down to Alamosa. But now

(01:16:42):
we're getting worse as we go on. Aurora Lakewood is worse than Aurora.
It's the eighth most dangerous for propertycrimes. Okay, and then excuse me,
okay. And then we have Inglewood, by the way, their fourth
place for murders. I Ingwood sucha wide area. Though Denver is not

(01:17:10):
the most dangerous city, but it'sup there. I think it's fourth.
Pueblo is more dangerous than Denver.Sheridan more dangerous than Pueblo and Denver Sheridan.
What a small little sliver to bedangerous. That's it, Sheridan the

(01:17:30):
most dangerous place. How why isthat? I mean you gotta be skewed
by percentages because it is such asmall area. One or two things happen,
and all of a sudden they jumpup to the top. Yeah,
because they're so simall. Maybe, but they go by they they go by
population. So who knows? Okay, So, Bob, someone wants to

(01:17:53):
know on plumbing water heaters, atwhat point does it pay? And who
should consider a constant flow water heater? And we talk about water heaters a
lot, so we call them instant. They're actually constant flow. Right now,
I have one. I love it. I have one too, I
love it. I've had them inmy last two homes. I love them.

(01:18:13):
Okay, So when is it worthdoing though? Really? Is there
a size or is there as faras an energy savings if you're looking to
reduce your electric bills or your gasbills and pay for it, it's it's
almost never makes sense. Oh itdoesn't. No, Oh so then why
do you get it for? Endlesssupply? Endless supply? And and and

(01:18:35):
they are better for the environment becausethey're not you know, they're not using
it. That's interesting. You wouldsay it doesn't necessarily pay you back,
right not with with with the maththat I've done in Colorado. It would
take forever to pay it back. And they will last longer too, I
mean that's another thing you can saythat. I mean, yeah, there's
no tank. You know, thetank's typically last een twelve years, you

(01:18:58):
know, if they're maintaining and eightmaybe, but we're we're a tankless you
know, you'll get twenty so you'lldouble a lifespan out of it. So
a lot of people don't take youknow, they'll look at double the cost
and say, well, man, that's twice as much I can get a
tank. Well, yeah, it'sgonna last twice twice as long. So
in the long run, they don'tcost you any more than a tank,
but it will take a long timeto pay for itself. Now, and

(01:19:20):
if you do go with tanks, now they have the quick recovery tanks,
which means while you're using it they'reso fast at recovering it that it doesn't
double the capacity, but it maybeadds what another twenty five to fifty it'll
double the capacity. It will,Yes, you actually will. So if

(01:19:40):
you have a fifty gallon tank, you could literally have the capacity of one
hundred galls because by the time youget down that fifty, the other fifty
has warmed up. Yep. Reallyyeah, well you that's almost like constant
flow, right, except you're keepingfifty warm all the time. Yep.
Those are Yeah, those are youryour power event high recovery systems. And

(01:20:01):
again they're going to be quite abit more expensive than and are they all
so hard to pay back as well. They are right again. Even when
it comes to furnace and air conditioningsystems, yes, you will see savings
on your utilities. Sometimes it's significantsavings. But if if you're looking for

(01:20:23):
the savings to pay offside the costsin Colorado, that's typically not the case
some other states where there's a higherdemand for air conditioning or higher gas bills,
then you'll see, you know,a higher return. Oh, by
the way, I want to tellpeople, we have something that we call
the no wait time when you callthree oh three Martino. So a lot

(01:20:45):
of people aren't necessarily available during theactual show to wait. So if you

(01:22:55):
a scammer a cult? You knowPrimeerica. It's not a scam. I
mean, by pure definition of ascam, a scam is something illegal.
It's not illegal, and they dohave Now whether I would use Primeerica,
of course I personally wouldn't, butlisten, here's what they are. They
used to be, and this isan offshoot years ago of Al Williams.

(01:23:18):
Do you remember the Al Williams Company. The Al Williams Company's whole deal back
in the day was to do awaywith whole life insurance by term insurance,
basically by term insurance, and theninvest the rest. They're big on term

(01:23:39):
life insurance and it's pretty affordable, nothing really wrong with it. So then
they offer but now it's called Primeerica, and it is kind of like a
network marketing plan where you have peopleahead of you on the totem pole and
all that. But it's not apyramid, it's not illegal. And the

(01:24:00):
company goes back years, as Isaid to the Al Williams days, and
their main product is term life.Next they do investments opportunities like twenty five
dollars a month, but those areusually annuities, mutual funds, and educational

(01:24:23):
savings plans, not securities in thepure sense like playing the stock market.
Or they don't go to Schwab andhave an account on there with you,
and then they do. They're inpartnership with Rocket Mortgage and they do mortgages
and they'll hook you up there. They also have gotten into the auto and

(01:24:46):
home insurance, but again I wouldgo to Compass if I want at home
and auto insurance. And then theyhave something else called prepaid legal services.
Now there are all kinds of prepaid legal services, and in all my
years of looking into these, Ihave never once found ever one worth anything.

(01:25:08):
It's just not worth it. Andthen they have identity theft protection,
and then they have home security systems. So really it's weird that it's like
they get into all of these servicesand then they send these people, these
representatives to school or you pay foryour training to become one of them,

(01:25:31):
and then you start selling this arrayof products. It is a multi level
marketing strategy, So the representative recruitsother people to sell these products and services.
So if you wanted to just buyone of these products or services,
most likely you're also going to behit up to sell some of these products
and services. Now, again I'mnot saying it's a scam, but I

(01:25:54):
think people I don't know to me, I think they're getting fed up with
these kinds of things because what theysometimes want is to just buy the product
and not have to be pitched onselling the products. But again, in
my opinion, term life insurance canbe had better somewhere else. Investments certainly

(01:26:15):
could be. You know, I'drather have somebody who's been doing it as
a lifetime advocation as opposed to aweekend warrior who's you know, recruiting other
people to be weekend warriors. Andmortgages, of course, you know,
I'm not saying rocket mortgage is abad thing, but obviously I would go
with a live and local lender.Home and auto insurance, I'd go with

(01:26:39):
Compass Insurance Group, pre paid Legal. I wouldn't bother with identity theft protection.
Listen, that's up to you.You know, I've not ever heard
of anyone getting paid on identity, identity theft protection, I mean, and
then home security. We've gotten alot of complaints about Vivid, so really
I'll answer the question. Uh,no, they're not a scam, but

(01:27:00):
I wouldn't use them, And that'sthe way I feel. Three oh three
seven to one three talks seven onethree eight two five five. Now somebody
else wants to know. Are therestreet legal vehicles that don't require a driver's
license? Well, I think thosewell, e bikes would come close,

(01:27:21):
right, But I believe that youfor those scooters, though, you need
a license with those scooters, doyou know, Mark, I think even
those little scooters you need a license. But not not a moped or an
e bike. You mean the electricscooters? Yeah? None, you know
the reg I don't know what youcall them, the little vespas and stuff?
Right? Don't you need a licensefor those? Right? Yeah?

(01:27:41):
I think, yeah, I thinkyou do. That's right. I think
there's a CC limit for when youneed a license. I don't know if
that's true. Oh, you don'tknow about the CC limit. If there
is, I think I think atone point it was like forty nine ccs
or fifty and lower was okay,But I don't know if that's correct,
man, Okay, let me lookit up here. But so, uh,

(01:28:05):
anyway, that the idea is ebikes. Now, although I don't
think you can do a lot oflong range with e bikes for sure,
you know. And okay, here'sone somebody asked, this is a true
true question I got. I can't. I love this quession, and I'm
going to give you a turn outof Mark. You first, Mark,

(01:28:27):
if you could tell the world oneuniversal truth, what would it be?
Just one? Ket I don't evenknow what you mean by that. I
don't either. They just said auniversal truth. In other words, I'm
always spouting off with people die,you will die there, I know.
But but I mean, but whathow is that going to enhance anyone's life?
What I mean is something that willAlthough they didn't say that, Mark,

(01:28:50):
they did say just one universal truth, So I guess technically or correct,
Bob, what would you what wouldyou say as a universal truth?
Hold on, I'm sorry, thereyou go, bro. My mine's got
to come from my faith, becausewithout Jesus, everything on this earth is
irrelevant. Okay, Okay, Now, if I wanted to get philosophical about
life itself and because I would gowhere you go. But let's let's talk

(01:29:13):
about this. I would say alsothat really and this, I really believe
in the long run, what youput in is what you get out.
That's with everything. That's with food, that's with health, that's with life,
that's with work. Don't you thinkover the long run, I mean,

(01:29:34):
what you put in is what youget out. I don't know.
I mean, I you know,so Marx though it was Marx. I
think everyone will have the T shirt. Everyone dies. That's a good one.
Come up with one, dragon,Come on, man, you don't
get not to come up with ona universal truth? Come on, dragon,

(01:29:58):
a universal truth? Or is hehitting universal truth? Kelly's dislike for
chocolate is just inhuman that's a universaltruth, a universal truth. There are
so many universal truths too, likeokay, no, no, not,
that's not a truth. But ifyou had to, if you had to

(01:30:19):
make people do something, okay, what mine would be, don't be on
a cell phone and workout at thegym while you're on a machine. The
other one would be, there's onethat just bugs the living crap out of
me. In fact, this wholeday has been what bugs me. Okay,
you know what. We used tohave a segment called what chafes your

(01:30:40):
rear? So call me about that. What chafes your rear? You know
what mine is? Why can't peoplepark between the lines? Just I?
Have you ever had it? Whereonce too far over this way, and
the other one's too far over thatway. You can't fit in there,
and there's a perfectly good parking space. Have you ever had it? Sometimes?

(01:31:03):
I guess so pissed off, Ijust pull in anyway and I climb
out the back. But really,I'm thinking, can't you just park between
the lines? I don't know, man, I might be signed sounding like
Biden today. I don't know.I don't mean to, but park between
the damn lines. So what isyour universal truth? Or what would you

(01:31:27):
like to tell people to do?Give me one thing? One thing?
Park between the lines is mine? How about another one? How about another
one? Come up with something thatif you could, if you were king
or dictator of the world, whatwould it be? Come on to got
to be something? Okay, howabout this? Don't don't no, I'm

(01:31:48):
not gonna do it. Never mind, I don't care. I have seen
Okay. Instagram is being over usednow by the way because now I'm getting
now I see Instagram shots. Iswear to God, that's nothing more than
I'm on my way to the supermarket. All right, that's it. Okay,

(01:32:10):
I'm on my way to work.Feeling good today. I've seen some
that say, what's up now? Now? Okay? Is that? Okay?
Never mind? I guess I couldjust not read them right. Three
oh three seven one three eight twofive five. By the way, waterpros

(01:32:32):
You know, I did an experiment. I told people this and they
don't believe me. And Bob,I know you guys do water too,
But water pros three oh three eightsix two five five five four soft water,
Bob, I wanted to tell yousome I did an experiment and wash
clothes in a washing machine without soapand it gets them clean. You know,
soft water is an amazing thing. It is because and I figured out

(01:32:56):
why they take the minerals down soand then I'm on a molecular level.
What I mean is it's an emptywater, meaning so it has the capacity
to draw out and to sustain andto suspend dirt and all that, but
it really does work. Now I'mwondering, though, and I'm gonna do

(01:33:19):
some more experimenting. Could you literallynot use detertion? I really mean that,
but I'm not kidding. I havetaken bloodstains out with your soft water
purified soft water. I'm serious. It is a remarkable thing, and I'm
wondering if, anyway, if anyoneelse has noticed that. Anyway, we

By the way, did you knowthere's a time traveler on TikTok Yep?
He claims to be a time traveler. I just thought you'd like to know

(01:34:35):
that from twenty six seventy one,and he's predicted a bunch of disasters,
but not one of them so farhas come true. He warned of twin
planets crashing into Earth. Didn't happen, extraterrestrial visitors that haven't happened, World
Works three that didn't happen. Nowhe's saying there's going to be an earthquake

(01:35:01):
of epic proportions and it'll strike inHouston, Texas first. But so far
nothing. His record is zero, but we'll I think maybe he just keeps
trying and he figures out. Bythe way, on a serious note,
here, on a serious note, the question about getting a license. I

(01:35:27):
did find out for motor vehicles,Mark there is a cc limit. So
if you have a motor vehicle selfpropelled engine less than fifty ccs or an
electric motor less than six horsepower orforty four or four and seventy six watts

(01:35:53):
with a maximum speed of not overforty miles an hour, my god,
Well, but you can drive withouta license, so that's not bad.
Fifty ccs or six horse power,Now that's six horse powers for electric right,
I think the way I'm reading this, they must have a maximum speed

(01:36:14):
of forty and that's what you soyou can drive, but you still need
to register them to drive them onthe street. I didn't ask that,
damn it. I just asked abouta driver's license. So I'll ask that
next. So an electrical now listento this. You can have a mopeed,
a segue or what they call nonthere are two wheel systems, non

(01:36:39):
tandem wheels with electric propulsion, soI mean that sounds specifically like a segue.
But the other insurance as well. There's other things like mark those There
are these tires that you stand onthat's, lack of a better word,
like a unicycle anyway, I don'tknow. Then they have off you can
actually drive a farm tractor in thecountry on roads for a limited time without

(01:37:02):
a driver's license. Bicycles and ebikes we know that, and then motorized
wheelchairs. Okay, so those arethings now as far as registration, I
don't know about that, actually Idon't. I mean I'm looking only in
the driver's section. I'm not lookingin the vehicle section. Where would you
drive it if you didn't have adriver's license, Because you couldn't drive those

(01:37:24):
things on a sidewalk no, No, that's what I'm saying. You can
drive it on the streets without adriver's license, but they're not going to
pull you over for not having aregistered Well, I didn't know that.
That's the part I got to lookup. Okay, so that's the part.
Because I'm only in the section ofthe DMV, they only pulled up
the driving requirements. Deputy Doc,you have a follow up on one of

(01:37:46):
these things. Go ahead, Doc, what's happening? Bro Okay? Remember
Mari? Oh my god, yesI do. Let's let let me recap
this. Listen. I think you'rewrong on this advice. Man. I
think you have to have a licensefor a scooter. You do, but
under fifty c they say under fiftyCC you don't. I think you're reading

(01:38:09):
it wrong, man. Okay, all right, look it up for me
then and see what I'm if I'mtrying to do it all on the earth.
If it's over fifty ccs, youhave to have a motorcycle license,
But if it's under fifty ccs youstill have to have a driver's license.
Does it say that that's what I'mreading? Hoh, Because this says.

(01:38:31):
Here's what it says. While youmust have a valid motorcycle license to ride
a scooter with an engine of fiftycc or larger. You don't need a
special license for a moped. Tooperate a moped in Colorado, you only
need a valid basic driver's license.Your moped must be registered as well.

(01:38:53):
In this one, I'm looking atthe law I'm looking at, by the
way, is CRS forty two.I don't know which one you're looking at.
And I'm not disagreeing with you becauseI'm trying to do this while I'm
on the air, but it's lookare you looking up? Forty two dash
two dash one oh one. No, I'm actually on the will Height law

(01:39:13):

I understand. Let's see driving thewrong vehicle clear, I'm trying to
see this here. I don't Yeah, they this may have been an old
l I don't know. I thinkit's forty two dash too, dash one
oh one. Okay. Anyway,So in any case, a doc Marina

(01:39:36):
she had a VRBO and had problems, then went to a hotel Monarch said,
you know, she switched to monOarch hotel. They they rented her
a place. Then said you're gonnahave too many people. We can't have
you do it. And then sheshe's just basically upset because she says she's
running out of time and they couldn'tgive her a good reason why she couldn't

(01:40:00):
have thirty to fifty people up inthat penthouse. But they said, listen,
that's just the way it is.There's too many people. That's true,
Tom. And you know, unfortunately, her wedding is in July,
which is really tough to get aplace this close to an event. Did

(01:40:20):
you call Monarch, doc? Icalled three different people at Monarch. I
called the director of sales. Icalled the general manager something else. I
feel her title was all right, fine, None of them ever got back
to me. All right, butthe good news, doc, or you

(01:40:45):
your fate? You're fading in andout. I'm not sure that you or
is that the phone could be both? No, you should be okay?
Now, all right, go aheadanyway, So I got a text that
she was able to get some She'sgoing to be able to do it to
be Amerastar, which is right acrossthe street. So very cool. But

(01:41:06):
here's the thing. She thinks shemay have who lost her deposit with the
caterer because I think amerasar On isgoing to have it catered. So I
told her, once everything is done, if she doesn't get her refund from
the caterer, I think I'm goingto call them and tell them. Look,

(01:41:27):
it's you know, it's a monthand a half in advance. There's
no reason why if they didn't buyanything, Doc, you know what that's
true? I mean, but forall we know they did reserve. We
don't know. I mean, obviouslypeople can have cancelation fees and all of
that crap, and they could saymaybe they turned down other people on that

(01:41:48):
date, and we'd have to takehim at their word. But normally,
you know, if you didn't loseanything, why not, right, So
I say, once everything is setwith you, marasar I'll give the caterer
call. And also we got acall from Jeff about Stone Cloud construction.

(01:42:09):
All right, hold on a second, if you could, Doc, I
gotta take this break, and Iknow Dragon is gonna kick my ass.
I bite on. So right afterthis, Hi, Tom Marts. You
know here three oh three seven toone three talks seven on three eight two

(01:42:30):
five five, So Deputy Talk wason the phone. Quick, Doc,
you had another update. What isit? Yeah, Jeff called about stone
Cloud construction and which one was that? Uh? Is Jeff the stone Cloud
construction? Is this about the Isthis about the solar the solar system?

(01:42:56):
No, it's about damage damage tohis property when they did some work next
door. Okay, gotcha, yep, what's going on? Well again,
I tried two people two times. They goosed him and they won't call me
back. So we have to putstone Clouds Instruction on the semi sleeze list.

(01:43:18):
Okay, So when did that callcome in from Jeff? Do you
remember? Probably about a week anda half ago. Okay, I have
one Jeff here. I didn't findit, but I will find it.
And stone Cloud just completely they're they'renot returning any calls. Nope, and
they go and they just ghosting Jeffas well. Go with a sure thing

on your mind today? How canwe help you? Got a lot going
on at three oh three seven onethree talk three oh three seven one three
eight two five five Stone Cloud Construction. I want to start out with a

(01:44:55):
new member of the sleeves we're gonnahave. I haven't posted that yet,
but I will. Now let metell you this guy lives in Washington Park
and they came and they were buildinga home. They're called infill projects where
they buy houses, knock them down, put up a new one. And
they were knocking down a house anddid damage to his and they have stonewalled
them completely. Now I want tosay something though, and this is really

(01:45:20):
something I want to stress. I'mnot sure they're completely liable. To him
for his house damage. But thefact that they stonewalled them completely is kind
of weird. And here's what Imean by that. If you have an
old house and it's not structurally sound, but you don't know that yet,

(01:45:43):
and they happen to do normal demolitionto build a house, and that normal
demolition creates normal vibrations, and youknow things like that, and your house
simply under the pressure cracks, that'snot necessarily their fault. There's a fine

(01:46:05):
line between causation and negligence. Youcould cause something without being negligent. For
example, Bob, if you guyswere putting in a sewer for somebody a
drain line and you have a backoout there, back hoos makes some vibrations

(01:46:27):
stuff. Yes, if it destroyedthe old sewer line in the neighbor's yard,
I don't know, because it's oldclay, I'm giving it maybe a
stupid example. But something where normalactivity destroyed it, then there's no negligence.
There could be causation, but nonegligence. There are times, for

(01:46:50):
example, a roofing company will havewe'll be doing a replacement roof, and
the roofing supplier will come and stockthe roof. Do you know what that
means? That means they take thematerial and they take it off a palette
and put a pile of it onthe roof. What if they did that

(01:47:10):
and it fell through the roof, that's not necessarily the supplier's fault or the
roof's fault. Right if the deckingwas bad, so causation. So I
would say in this case they mightbe liable, but maybe not. I
mean, did they do anything negligent? Now, by the way, speaking
of that, though, there areplenty of times I think people are negligent

(01:47:34):
or times that people should be calledout. Now, let's talk about this
one. As far as recent sleevesfor gays, I haven't put up yet.
This one landscape or so Co Landscaping, Mike Sexton a year ago took
a deposit and totally totally ghosted them. And that is Mike Sexton so Co

(01:48:00):
Landscaping. Okay, never start, never did the job. Okay, Now
he took fifty seven hundred bucks. That guy's a thief, Mike Sexton.
Here's another one. This real estatebroker recommended a painter to a client.

(01:48:23):
His name is Reese Houghton, ourh Painting took eighteen hundred bucks, never
did the job. Reese Houghton hO U G H T O N.
The reason I'm saying this, I'mhoping you're going to google all these or
go find him and let him knowyou heard about him. Okay, So

(01:48:44):
having know that, look up soCo Landscaping, look up Mike Sexton,
or we can go to Reese Houghtonr H Painting and what else. I'm
looking now just specifically for sleeve becausewe come across so many that I talk

(01:49:05):
about on the show, but Ihaven't yet had a chance to put them
up. How about this one. This one is going to go up.
This is Valor Roofing. We've talkedabout them now. They don't think they're
sleeves. They think they're righteous people, but they're not. Valor has refused
to make right on the solar systemand one solar. They suck. Both

(01:49:29):
of them suck. Okay, ValorRoofing sucks, and so does one Solar.
Do not deal with these people.I'm telling you that right now.
In fact, I've had multiple problemsabout Valor dealing with one Solar, multiple
and Hoffman Weber. I did putthose up on the site. Hoffman Weber.

(01:49:54):
Yeah, let me take that onedown, be I mean, not
put it, take it down. But it's been listed already, and they
suck hoff and Weber and then wehave Let me do another one here.
Brian Williams, an electrician. Hetook thirty nine hundred bucks. Nothing.

(01:50:18):
Brian Williams, the Denver electrician.Mister Slee's bucket. God, there's so
many. Let me tell about thisone. Alexander Cruz Cruise restoration. They
pay twenty grand up front. Nothing, think about this? God, is

(01:50:40):
this pissing me off? How aboutTotal Energy Solutions another solar system put twenty
eight grand down nothing, that's bob. Does it astound you that people get
away with this thievery? It doesnot, because they don't get prosecuted.

(01:51:00):
They don't, and then they justopen a business under a different name and
they do it again. Steve RuleRules Solutions thirty two grand, they paid
eleven up front. Lousy job ghostedthey What he did was he poured the
concrete pad. She paid another tengrand, then he ghosted her. Gosh,

(01:51:28):
dang it, I'm sad when Igo through these. These haven't been
put up yet. How about ChampionWindows They have gone to hell. Champion
Windows have gone to hell. Yep, Champion, that's right, paid them
got nothing. Champion used to bea great company. How about this one

(01:51:55):
a patio door and put down? And this was Oh this is another Champion,
another one. By god, Championhas taking money and just not doing
the job. Then we have anotherone. This is Sam the concrete Man.
Years ago, Sam the Concrete Man, which is a franchise, We

(01:52:17):
had one of them on our referrallist. This guy paid sixteen grand nothing,
sixteen thousand dollars. Here's another one, Creative Windows, Mark Castro ten
eight hundred dollars put down fifty fourhundred nothing. Oh my god, I

(01:52:44):
can't believe how many there are.How about Lakewood Collision seven grand, no
work. How about this one? This is Lauren Lauren Hogo boom. It's

(01:53:06):
called first contractor, thirteen hundred dollarsno work. Were actually seventeen hundred.
This was another contractor. So she'sgot ripped off by two. And we
have yet another one to hire anelectrician. And that one was called James.

(01:53:31):
Wait wait no, never, wonyno, that's no wait wait wait
wait wait, private detective did ohokay, this private detective took twenty five
hundred bucks and did nothing. Hisname is James Albi Metro Intelligence Agency.
I could go on and on,folks. I mean these are just recent

(01:53:54):
ones from this year Slee's buckets extraordinarythat have done nothing for people. When
you hear people on this show, you need to spread the word. And
of course we're going to eventually listenthem at Sleavesbrigade dot com. And I've
been a little deficient mark unlisting theseman now, Bob Logan during the break

(01:54:15):
ass are there any commercially available dronesthat carry people? Wouldn't that be nice?
You know, drones are going toput helicopters right out of business.
I mean, why would anyone havethe complication and maintenance and all of that
crap of a helicopter when you canhave a drone you sit in and basically

(01:54:36):
take off, fly around, andland with virtually no skill needed, and
in fact, you can program iteasily to land and take off. And
the only thing I can think ofis why they're not so much available is
that I believe that the auto rotationcapability or when the engine quits where they

(01:55:00):
go and what they do, theythey'd have to put some kind of parachute
system on it. I think forthe whole vehicle, like they want serious
aircraft, and then you have,in my opinion, the perfect vehicle.
I don't see how anything comes closeto these, but I looked it up
and there are actual people drones availablethat can carry people. Thirteen Passion or

(01:55:23):
drones either under development or being sold. Work Horse Surefly was made back in
twenty seventeen and they have a lotof attention. They're not plentiful, but
they have them. There's another onecalled e hang Onet eighty four. But
I wonder though I think this isgonna be weird. You're not going to

(01:55:45):
need a pilot's license yet because theydon't even have. They have nothing to
compare it to. And I don'tknow where you fly it out if you
can fly it out of your damnbackyard. The FAA is going to got
to get involved. I mean they'vegotten involved with drones that are on a
UAV unmanned aircraft, but as faras these drones that can carry people,

(01:56:08):
I don't think they've yet begun toto tackle this. Oh, Uber elevate
Uber looking at one for people, and they are looking at Uber is developing
an on demand aviation service of adrone that will pick you up and drop

(01:56:30):
you off. And then there's anotherone called Innovation City air Bus. I
didn't realize there were this many, this many being developed for carrying people.
So I see an end to thehelicopters altogether. I mean, I mean
I can't, well, not really, I mean, I imagine if you
want to go really fast or somehelicopters that they would have to use.

(01:56:54):
But think about it. Right now, about half of the helicopter's missions have
been already taken by drones, automaticdrones, a pipeline patrol. They used
to hire helicopters to do that. You don't need a helicopter Daddy more.
In fact, they have You canhave infrared and different kind of imagery on
a drone. You don't need apilot, you don't need a photographer,

(01:57:16):
you don't need an aerial photography. You don't need a helicopter at all.
And you know, really, Isee helicopters as being dinosaurs in the near
future. I mean, think aboutit. Why would anyone go through that
brain damage of maintenance and expense tohire a helicopter when you can hire a

(01:57:38):
drone. I think it's spells thatI mean, that's the next thing.

you? Sir? What's happening?Hey? Are you doing mister Martino?
Good man? What's happening with you? Not too well? I got an
issue going on today. I I'vebeen trying. I'm I've been having hard
times for nast couple of years sinceI lost my job at course, and
just recently I came across this thingon what's app. I know you probably

(01:58:55):
heard of it. Yeah, no, What's app for sure, But but
you know a lot of people,by the way, and I hope this
didn't happen. But a lot ofpeople who are unemployed or in need of
money or looking for loans, they'rethey're often in a position to get ripped
off. And I hope you didn'tget ripped off. Well, I mean,
I basically I'm out three hundred andninety eight dollars right now as it's

(01:59:17):
does. Okay, so tell mewhat happened, Mario. You were out
of work and desperate for what? What? What caught your eye on what's
App? Well, this lady camecame to me and she said, Hey,
are you interested in making some moneyonline? And I was like,
well, yeah, what would Ihave to do? And I'm usually wary
of all kinds of stuff like that, and I just kind of followed along

(01:59:38):
and I looked into it and Istarted participating a little bit the last couple
of days and I was making alittle bit of money, nothing big.
Well how did she first of all, how does she contact you on What's
App? I don't know. Ithink I might have reached out on Facebook
at some point, I might havereplied to something that. Okay, that
it had to be because What's Appdoesn't just let you anonymous or reach out

(02:00:01):
to people you don't know. Youjust can't go out. It's I don't
think when you get on What's App, you know you have to have your
contacts and all that. So youreached out to her. Did the ad
or whatever it's said on Facebook?Did it ask you to go on What's
App? Yeah, they said thatthey would refer me and that somebody would
reach out to me, and that'swhat happened. Okay, I get it.

(02:00:23):
Was it Facebook Marketplace. I'm prettysure it was something like that,
Yeah, yeah, okay, Andwhat was the what was her offer?
Basically I could make some easy moneyand I'd have to work too hard,
just kind of participating in this appthat optimizes apps or something like that for
okay, So what did you dothen? So then it's said to respond

(02:00:45):
to her? So you went onWhat's App? And what happened? And
then I started talking with her.She started explaining the business to me and
then kind of talked me into beginningto participate. But I'd did the last
couple of days and now hold onso you were on what's we When you
say talking to her, you meanon WhatsApp? Right, Yeah, what's
happening? And did you use thetexting or the talking? Mostly texting.

(02:01:09):
I've sent a couple of voice messagesand stuff. I've saved everything on my
phone of you know, the communicationthat I have going on with them.
Okay, and so then what whathow did you lose the money? Well
on the app? Like, okay, yes, I've just spent three days.
I've been doing this now. Thefirst day I did the three sets
of tasks. They call it theselittle missions. You do forty or forty

(02:01:31):
three times for the day and thenyou cash out. Wait wait, wait,
what are these missions for? Didthey have a meaning? Yeah?
They're supposed to like help them optimizetheir their system somehow bring attention to these
apps, is what I understood itas. And what did you have to
do? Give me give me anexample of what you had to do.
I'm interested, especially if other peopleare listening that might be wondering about it.

(02:01:55):
What did they have you do?Basically, all I had to do
was like click and submit the fortyforty forty tasks and I would take the
pictures of each one. They didn'ttell me to do that, but I
took a picture of each one.So what they wanted you to do is
use a few apps. Yeah, you're basically using their system. That's called

(02:02:16):
reox website dot com. All right, Okay, I know I want to
It's called reox. Yeah all right, OKF I have the full website here,
Well, give it to me,man, give it to me right
now. What's the actual website?I'm gonna put it in. What is
it? Let me pull it upAryl because I'm driving. Yeah, I
mean I want, I want othersto know about this, and I'm gonna

(02:02:38):
go see it. So you hadto go to this website and do tasks.
Yeah, okay, give me thewebsite okay. R I O k
S m k t l LC dotcom. Okay, so ryos m k
t l C dot com. Okay, it's a market something LLC ryocks market

(02:03:04):
LLC dot com. And then let'ssee if I cut type that in right,
and then when you go here todo these, uh, where did
the money? Okay? There? You need a log in? So did
you do a log in? Yeah? When I first logged in with her,
she logged in with her log inand okay, and what are you

(02:03:26):
supposed to What were you supposed todo? Uh? What kind of tasks?
It's really simple. You just kindof like you have to on the
screen. It shows you a wholebunch of little little squares like all these
different apps, and it's this start. So you start, you click on
submit and it starts counting down eachone you click and submit. It's you
know, one, two, three, and eighty. But where did the

(02:03:47):
money come in? The money comesin? When to start the mission you
have to put down one hundred andone dollars and there their reasoning behind that
is is that they were getting somany people that were signing up and then
just kind of making a few bucksand then getting on them that I guess
they said, you know, ifyou put down one hundred one dollars,
you're serious, you're gonna stay forthe day or for the whatever however related
to Yeah, but where do youeven read about this damn thing? I

(02:04:11):
mean, when I go to thiswebsite, all you see is a log
in. Where did you get thedetails about it? So the lady that
reached out to me from the Facebookthing, the lady that that that they
said to me so so far,you know, you're lucky man. So
far you've only lost three hundred bucks. I know. Well, like I
said, the first time they askedme, the you do the one on

(02:04:33):
one every day, you have todo one on one one one dollars.
Well, yesterday they asked, thenegative amount came up of eighty four dollars.
I was like, what's this? What's this negative amount? Oh,
she says, don't worry, it'snothing big. All you got to do
is put it another eighty four dollarsand then at the end of your cast
for the day or three cats, three missions, that's the forty you pull
everything out, including your one tellme, tell me, tell me the

(02:04:57):
reason. See things normally have tomake makes sense. So when they said,
hey, here's how you make moneyby doing these missions? What was
supposedly the purpose of these missions,Well, for the way I understood it,
it's like it's optimizing their apps forthese these companies or something. It's
bringing attention to the apps. Andthey have some kind of an algorithm I

(02:05:19):
guess that they utilize, and byus sitting there and clicking and submitting,
clicking and submitting, maybe they're fillingin the rest of the information in regards
to our click and submits, sothat it's bringing attention to those apps for
whatever reason. I don't know whatthe reason is behind it, but that
that was my that's our that's myjob. That's all I have to do
is pick and submit, clickings submit. And like I said, after three

(02:05:41):
days they have this this little spill. It's after three days as well,
straight working for them, you geta two hundred dollars check. After five
days you get a five hundred dollars. Yeah, obviously it's a scam.
You got nothing. Well, Imean the last couple of days I made.
I made fifty the first day,I think, thee hundred yesterday and
then today wait wait wait wait waitwait, so hold on it almost I'm
almost gonna make a hundred bucks today. And then they pulled that six hundred

(02:06:03):
and ninety four negative thing, andI was like, wait a minute,
So they were luring you. Theywere luring you in, right yeah.
And she's still sitting here trying toconvince me. I'm I'm on the line
with it right now, and what'shappen? And she's still trying to sit
here and tell me that it's okay. If you just put the money in,
it'll be okay. And I'm like, no, I said, I
want my three and ninety eight thatI'm out so far, and I'm done

(02:06:25):
with you people. I said,if you don't give me my money,
I'm talking before they did that negative, Before they did that negative, how
much money was out and how muchmoney was in and were you net ahead
or net behind? Okay, Originallythis morning, this was my thirday,
I put in one hundred and oneand I thought, okay, I got
to do with my three fits offorty and I'm gonna get my two hundred
dollars chick. And that's what theyeven told me. Lucy was like,

(02:06:46):
hey, after the day, you'regoing to get your two dollars chick,
and I was like yeah, cool. But then they had and she talked
me into joining this group. Theyhave like a group thing too, and
I heard them talking about those negativethings, and I thought, okay,
I haven't had that pop up onme and so hopefully it won't. But
then it did, and it didit twice to me, to be first
one was from two ninety four.I was like, okay, I'll William

(02:07:09):
and cover that. So I'm gonnaget it back. And then I just
did a few more tasks and thenboom to sit undred ninety four dollars.
Wants you above it? That's whatI was like. Do they call this
money that you put down an applicationfee something like that? It's it's like
it's to them, it's like coveringthe negative balance they call it or something.
And then okay, okay, letme pash out. Listen, listen,

(02:07:30):
man, did you do? Iwant you to hold on. I

five. The more I'm reading aboutthis REOs uh this and it's r ioks
reox or Rios market LLC. Itlooks like a platform, and probably not
the ones doing the scam, butthat people using this platform just it's kind

(02:08:43):
of like they're using this platform toget people to sign up, I think.
But Mario's only Mario, I say, only out three hundred bucks,
You're lucky. But did they takeit off your credit card? No,
I'm utilizing the coin base account andI have to send the money to a

(02:09:03):
They sent me an address of theirwell listen, listen. Okay, So
if it was a credit card,I was going to say, I would
definitely just contest it for fraud, just out now fraud. I wouldn't even
give a long story. I'd justsay I have no idea what these are.
Now here's what I want to know. Though, the money they popped
you for that seven hundred bucks, did that come out of your coin base

(02:09:24):
account? I didn't do that.I'm now I'm telling them I'm not going
to do that. I said no, but I'm saying, hold on,
bro, I'm asking you, wasit already withdrawn from one of your accounts.
No, no, they count itwasn't. No, not, You
have to send it to them directly. Wait a minute, Wait a minute.

(02:09:48):
That that's what I don't understand.Then why did they assess you a
charge? I don't. I meanthey call it a negative balance on the
thing. Like, no, Iget it. But the money okay,
so the money you put in there, When you put that money in there,
I'm asking a plane question. Dothey have access to your coin base
account? No? No, okay, Then how do you deposit money without

(02:10:13):
them having access? I have tosend it. They tell me the amount
to send, and then I sendit to their wallet address. Okay,
I got you. Good? Good, good, Okay, that's good because
I want I wanted to make sureyou did not give them access. That's
very very important that you did notgive them access. So right now,

(02:10:33):
all you have is really a paperloss. Well, you got the three
hundred, but I'm saying the othermoney is just a paper loss. Right
They're saying you owe it. Wellno, they're not saying I owe but
I like they're not giving it backto me right now. Like right now,
I still have the one on onethat I put down today and the
two ninety four of that first negativebalance, and then now they have this

(02:10:56):
other negative six forty eight sixteen thatthey want to get. Yeah, but
the negative six four, hold on, the negative six forty eight is not
actual money. The only actual moneyyou're out is three hundred, right or
three ninety four three ninety eight rightnow? Can I put down for four
today? Okay? You just obviouslyyou're not going to get that money back.

(02:11:18):
Okay, you're just not. Yeah, but you got to go on
that Facebook, accain that marketplace, and you've got to let people know about
her. Do you have a wayto communicate with her? Is it only
through What's App? Yeah? Rightnow, it's just through I have her
phone number on the What's App becauseit's tied into her What's App. Is
that a real phone number? Idon't know it's I can give it.

(02:11:41):
Did you try it? Well?Did you try calling it? No?
If I put you on hold, would you try calling it to see if
she answers? Okay? And ifshe does, just ask her, just
ask her if you can give outher information to some of your friends who

(02:12:03):
want to get involved. Oh okay, okay, So hold on Okay,
I'm gonna do it. I wantyou to do it right now. I'm
gonna put you on hold, okay, and let us know what happens.
Three oh three seven one three talkthree oh three seven one three eight two
five five. From what I cantell, this is some kind of scam,

(02:12:28):
but this is just a platform they'reusing. And you know it's all
over Reddit too, so you know, it amazes me how many scams come
through Facebook marketplace. For God's sakes, I mean, it's incredible. Anyway,
Bob Logan is with us from PlumblineServices. We have another question here

(02:12:56):
on sewer replacement does a does itmean when they have a sewer backup?
Okay, and it cleared out andit was a year and a half later
they had another one. That doesn'tseem to me like to be a critical
problem. But why would they haveone a year and a half apart?
Why do you think, Bob,Well, again, it could could be

(02:13:18):
a fluke or there could be aproblem with the line, but it could
be the system itself not necessarily hersright, sometimes the neighborhood could do that.
No, no, no, aneighborhood, no it does it have
a check valve? Or somewhere thatwouldn't happen. I mean, I guess
there could be a major catastrophe andall the neighbors could be back. Not

(02:13:41):
all the neighbors, But there's nota situation where you would back up.
Is it usually always your service line? Is all My experience tells me it's
always her service line. Okay,So but what would cause such an intermittent
year and a half apart? Well, again, it could be the growth
of roots, It could be anumber of contributing factors. So you know,

(02:14:05):
a properly functioning sewer line does notback up right period. Okay,
it never backs up, and that'swhat people think. It's normal right now.
So even if it happened once andthen again, there's something going on,
there's something going on. Have somebodyout there now run a video.
What would it take for you guysto check something like that out? Well,

(02:14:28):
Being one of your listeners, Ican send somebody out free of charge,
and I'll take care of her.I'll have to get her. I
think text normal charges two and eightyfive dollars to have a sewer scope done.
Yeah, but that's certainly worth it. It is, especially if you're
if you think it might have anissue, but we'll do it free of
charge for her. But that's thebest thing. Let's let's figure out what's
going on, what's happening, becausewe can speculate all day long, but

(02:14:50):
we can't see underground, and inevery situation is a little bit different.
Hey, Mark, did you isMark? Are you still there? Yep?
Yep? Did you hear the commentswe made about I made about minimum
wage wasn't necessarily always meant to supporta family. It was to get into
the workforce and work your way up. And I heard your stuff. Well
what do you think about that idea? Because one guy said on text thumb,

(02:15:15):
don't you believe every job should beable to be survived? You know,
you shouldn't make enough money to surviveevery job. I agree with you,
that's insane. I mean, Idon't, I mean survived me.
I mean, obviously you want tobe paid something. But I don't believe
that every job was meant to bea career or to support a family.
I just don't. When we wereyounger, we had part time jobs,

(02:15:37):
we had even full time jobs thatwere to buy our first car or for
summer spending money. Right right,It wasn't meant to be supporting a family.
And I'm not saying that. Imean, yeah, I am saying.
I'm saying it's ridiculous to expect everyjob to have a minimum wage that
can support a family. It's justnot meant to be. That was it

(02:16:00):
meant to be, and it's notbecause and again, I think when you
do do this, you're going tomake merchants look for ways around it.
They're going to eventually reduce the workforce. Three oh three seven one three eight
