Speaker 1 (00:00):
At about twenty minutes before nine o'clock.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Let's go over to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com
phone line and say good morning to our buddy Terry
Shilling from American Principles Project.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Terry, how are you, sir?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Good morning, Mike. So happy to be here. Thanks for
having me.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I appreciate it. How was the weekend? You watch some
old college football this weekend?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Oh? Man, Yeah, it was great. Notre Dame take the
crap out of Pittsburgh. It was. It was a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Good for you. Let's jump right into it.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
And it seems like at this stage one of the
big stories is going to be the Epstein files. President
Trump has sort of a reverse course and he is
now calling on House Republicans to vote to release those
files related to Epstein, saying that he has got nothing
to hide that you know, nobody really cared about FCA
when he was alive, and Democrats if they had anything

(00:48):
on him or other prominent Republicans, that they would have
released that already.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
You buy that?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
I do? Actually, I look. Trump was loud and proud
the whole campaign from for years saying that he was
going to release the Epstein files. There's no way. If
there was anything incriminating that he would have ever uttered
Epstein's name, he would have ignored it the whole time.
So I think there was probably something where he wanted

(01:15):
to protect some people that might be listening to it
that you know, weren't guilty, or something along those lines.
I don't know why he backed up, but no, I
think this is the right call. Democrats are demanding it.
Let's give it to him because I guarantee there's gonna
be a lot more Democrats on that list and then
than anyone else.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, starting with one. Bill Clinton I think is probably
at a little nervous on that. And you know, those
emails that the Dems released are leaked out to liberal
media late last week. It's funny, terry because as I
read through those, it seems like those emails that were
written by Epstein to you know, Glaine Maxwell and the

(01:52):
gossip columnist whose name escapes me off the top of
my head, but Michael Wolf Wolf, Yeah, they exonerate Trump,
they'll implicate him because it says that once Trump found
out that Epstein was a dirt bag, he banned him
from mar Lago and cut all of his ties. I
don't understand what they were trying to go for.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
There no exactly, Mike. Look, they're they're they're reaching, they're
trying to do anything they can't to destroy Trump. This
is what they've done the entire time Trump's been on
the scene. But there was one email exchange that I
found very interesting between Michael Wolfe and Epstein where he's
where Michael Wolfe is saying, you know, it's right before
the election in twenty sixteen, saying, you know, you really

(02:31):
need some political cover here and this would distract everyone
from you and put it on the Trump and by
the way, coming out against Trump, that give you some
political allies, but you don't really have right now. It
was total garbage like extortion. Basically, it's totally crazy. I
can't believe that the Democrats are actually pushing to get
this out because I guarantee again there's going to be

(02:53):
a lot more of them on this list of many Republicans.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
And look, we've been talking about Epstein and these files
for some time now, and it is important because crimes
were committed. And I don't care if you have an
R or a D behind your name, if you were
involved in the abuse of young women, you need to
be held accountables. I don't mean to minimize this, but
I think let's release the files. We need to move

(03:17):
on from this story because I want to start focusing
on the economy and the affordability issues in this country.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
No, that's exactly right, Mike. Like, first of all, you're
exactly right. Let's get this out there. Let's go after
every single person that's on this list and make them
pay the full price for justice. Right, But at the
same time, we got to be future oriented. Right. That's
about the past, which is important. You need justice for
the past. Yeah, but we need to be future oriented.
And we've got a housing crisis that's booming for young people.

(03:47):
The average age that someone buys their first home in
America is forty years old. Now that is not accessible.
Young people are priced out of our economy and we
wonder why they're not getting married and having kids. We've
got to fix this now for the future of our country.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I couldn't agree with you more. Let's let's take care
of keep the home fires burning. As they say, what
is going on with Marjorie Taylor Green. She started to
sort of split from Trump, and you know, he called
her out and she's now gone on social media apologizing
for being divisive.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
She's getting threats. What's the story with her?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
You know, Mike, I'm the eldest of ten kids, and
I find myself in this position. You know a lot
where you have basically two siblings that are fighting between
each other, and you want to just get along and
get over their problems. I don't know what's going on.
I do think that she really does want to get
to the bottom of the Epstein debacle. I think she

(04:46):
wants to get that release, and I think she was
willing to throw some punches to get there. I think
they'll get over this. I think this is like a
sibling squabble and then we'll get to peace here soon.
But you know, she's a good person, and I've known
her for a while. I first met her on War
Room with Steve Bannon, and I do think she's a
really honest person who's who's a strong fighter. I just

(05:09):
you know, I also love President Trump. I think he's
doing the right things for a country. So I just
hope these two brothers and sisters get over there fight soon,
because we've got a country to save.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
It's a good analogy, and I guess my question is is,
why does this have to play out on social media?
Can't they just get behind closed doors and you know,
whatever differences they have, just hammer them out and you know,
don't involve the media or you know, because you get
people saying, well, if she doesn't like Trump, I don't
like her, and then she's you know, getting death threats
and all of this.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
So yeah, let's just handle this and uh and move on.
There's no doubt.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
So what's going on, American Principles Project dot org. What
are you guys up to?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
We are trying to figure out how to solve the
supportability crisis for young people in America. Okay, right, if
you look across the board, it's it's not just groceries,
it's not just gas. That's what gets the headlines, but
young people price out of homes, healthcare is super unaffordable
right now. You know, I look at this this stat
last week and it said that the top ten percent

(06:08):
of America owns eighty seven percent of all stocks and
bonds in this country. We got to start changing that
because our young people. You know, if you don't you
can't have a free market if people don't own things, right,
the people are going to embrace people like Zormamdani, promising
them the sky when they don't own anything. So we've
got to figure out this crisis. And it's not just

(06:28):
about figuring out the right solutions. We've got to figure
out what America actually wants. So we're gonna be sitting
down with voters, with focus groups, and we're gonna be
doing some polling to see what Americans, where Americans are
hurting the most, what they want to dress first, and
how they want to address it.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
