Speaker 1 (00:00):
Go to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com phone line
and say good morning to Ryan Schmels on Capitol Hill
and a House vote scheduled today to force the release
of the Epstein files and hearing this could be a
unanimous vote, Ryan, it could be.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, and especially now that President Trump has given this
bill his pretty much his indoors been to encourage Republicans
to vote for it. So I don't really think there'll
be much opposition today.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
And not to mention, no one wants to be on
record for saying no because we don't want them released.
It's like, Okay, well what are you hiding?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yeah? Yeah, And of course, yeah, I mean everyone's got
a lot of different things out there. And I mean
there's a Democrat congresswoman delegate who's now facing questions about
why she was talking to Jeffrey Epstein or stinging text
messages a couple of years ago. So yeah, I mean,
like there's plenty of stuff like that that could come out.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Do we need this vote to release the Epstein files.
It's my understanding DOOJ could just release them if they
wanted to.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
They could, Yeah, they could release him anytime. And Chuck
Schumer said that yesterday when he was asked about this,
you know, are you happy that it's going to be
a vote? He's like, well, we wouldn't have to have
a vote if President Trump but just released the files.
But at the same time, you know, the DOJ has
said there's a lot of sensitive information here related to
victims that needs to be redacted. And when you're going
through tens of thousands of documents, you know that that

(01:17):
can be a challenge to redact all that information. That
could be a problem.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
So you mentioned the victims, I mean tens of thousands
of pages, and you know, potentially hundreds of different victims.
Some victims have been speaking out for years, and you know,
has anybody asked them who was involved? Who were Epstein's clients?
Do we know any of that information?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I mean potentially, I mean I don't know clearly if
they've got anything incriminating those people are not in jail
or they haven't sent who they are. I mean, I
don't know. That's a hard question answer.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, speaking with Ryanch Mells on Capitol Hill, Fox News. So,
assuming the House passes us today we think they will,
and then well the seven the it even.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Take this up U we'll have to wait and see.
Dune has said that he is considering ways in which
to bring it up, so yeah, I mean, the pressure
campaign is going to be there if he if he
doesn't bring it up, And there's already Republicans who have
said that they would vote and favor this too on
the Senate side, so it seems like it will be
just a matter of time. But Dune has not exactly

(02:21):
announced plans to do that just yet, and of course
I think he's probably wait until after the bill finally passes.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, I'm mean to get again, the optics are bad.
If you're somebody who's against releasing this, it's like, okay,
well why you know you would have to face the
music and and answer some some tough questions of why
you would block this release, right yeah, And.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And of course you know there are are reasons that
have been given. Remember President Trump was pushing back on
this for for some time, saying that you know, they're
they're they're doing it their way, and they're doing it
the way they think is the best way to do it.
But when this thing got the the the signatures that
needed to force a vote, President Trump had a change
of tune and pretty much said that look we got

(03:02):
nothing to hide, just go ahead and vote for it.
And this is a hoax from the Democrats.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
