Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's jump over to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com
phone line, NBC News radios.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Rory O'Neil. It's like one of those lingering coughs that
just won't go away. Rory. It's the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
It's got Republicans mainly divided on this, Some siding with
the Democrats, saying, let's release everything. Let the chips fall
where they may, and some say, hey, not so fast.
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Well, right, And look, a lot of the MAGA supporters
who brought President Trump back to powers say that they're
disappointed because they wanted all this Epstein information finally released.
Think of Cash Bettel and Dan Bongino, the director of
the FBI and his number two, both of the loudest
voices about releasing the Epstein files, now silence, in fact,

(00:45):
saying the investigation is over. Nothing to see here. So
I think that's caused a lot of frustration within the party.
We're gonna we're supposed to see a vote next week
on this discharge petition. A majority of members of the
House sort of circumventing the Speaker trying to bring up
this to force the Justice Department to release everything Now
the petition may go nowhere after this, but it puts

(01:06):
you on record, and that's a lot of things politicians
try to.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Avoid, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
And if there's nothing to see here, then what's the
harm in releasing everything?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Well, why are you bringing Lauren Bobert into the situation
room for a sit down with the head of the
FBI and the Department of Justice to try to twist
her arm to get her to back off this petition?
And she didn't, So it's being allowed to move forward
despite some heavy, heavy arm twisting by the White House.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So I guess it begs the question, you know, who's
who's mentioned in this? You know, I think a lot
of people are mentioned in this, and you know, both
sides are a little lary to expose some names there
just I don't know, just spitballing here, and I'm I'm
in the camp of release it.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Let the chips fall where they may.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
And because anybody who's associated with, you know, improper behavior
with miners or any kind of abuse situation, they need
to be exposed.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Well, you and seventy seven percent of Americans are all
in the same camps.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
They just release this stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
The guy's dead. Uh, you know one of his victims
sadly recently committed suicide, Like, let's you know, let's just
tear this bandaid off

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
