(00:00):
Today we're gonna try something a littledifferent. We're talking guns. Just when
you thought you had everything you need, well, there are a few new
things out there on the market thatmay just catch your eye. All of
that and late breaking news you're notgonna want to miss all up next on
on Target. Good afternoon, Welcometo down Target War Broadcasting live from the
(00:21):
studios of LPD Firearms Range and TrainingFacility that's located at nine nine to nine
Bethel Road. I'm Eric the host, and I have mister j C back
finally in the house beside me.Is it too, Thank you, Thank
you very much. Yeah, it'sit's great to be back. It's on
the radio. It's great to hearyou guys voice. But yeah, it's
(00:41):
nice to see these folks out here. So there is a ton out there
today. And actually I see paulpoin the back there. He comes in,
swipes in for the donuts right backout. That's him hitting on I
remember the pie day where someone broughtus a pie. He looked at it
and said, this looks good.Took the whole look the whole thing,
just walking up pretty much pretty muchthat is I would go, guys,
we wanted to thank all who joinedus last week. All the good candidates
(01:06):
came on the show last week.Unfortunately they all lost. And on the
side note, we're trying to getBiden on for an upcoming show. Yeah
yeah, but what are we doinghere? I mean, it's we're little
Chicago. It is, it's done, We're there, is there is You
hate to say it, there's almostno hope for this city. We are
going have gone down a path ofno return. It is everywhere you turn,
(01:30):
from crime to just the nonsense. It's I don't know, and I
hate to say it, you know, because I'm always optimistic and for the
fight, but we don't have anybodyout there fighting. I mean there's nobody
on the conservative side at all inthe city. I mean the days is
I think that's what the said lastweek, that the demographics have just changed.
Now Democrats have moved in the cityand conservatives have moved away, and
(01:55):
then we're left with the cusspool thatwe live in. Yeah, and it's
bad. I mean, it's justand I see it so much from the
law enforcement standpoint this week, andwe don't have all the details yet.
We were watching the Civilian Review Board, I mean, what what a joke.
I mean it truly is. Itis a joke. And they were
out there. They sustained a complaintagainst an officer this week for asking a
kid his name, not under detention, nothing, no arrest stopped him,
(02:21):
No officer didn't leave his car, didn't leave his car, and sustained a
complaint against him for biased policing. The kid was a white kid. I
mean, it's a white officer.White. It's just it's out of control.
And these politicians who look around andsay, I don't know what's going
on there said he wanted to getthe police, and then then after saying,
oh, we want the section moneyfor police, we really want to
(02:42):
support it. What a bunch ofbs. His whole goal was to to
you know, punish the police. We're going to make them pay, and
spending millions of dollars, at leasta million dollars and trying to conduct off
just four officers after the riots andall of them we were generated total crazyness.
Yes, today though, we actuallyhave a little bit of good news,
and we actually actually have a bunchof news because we've been short on
(03:06):
it last couple of weeks with JCbeing under the weather, so we're going
to talk about that up front, and then then guys, all of a
sudden, it's not shot showtime. It is just midyear basically, and there's
a couple of new things that havecome out that have really cut our eye.
One I will say, we've hadit for two weeks and it hasn't
left my office because I'm just enamoredwith it, really really neat. So
(03:29):
we're gonna talk about that in thesecond half an hour. And because they
can't figure out the time for thefootball game next week, nothing like giving
it a you know, ahead oftime, we might be preempted depending on
the time of the game. Sowe're gonna talk a little bit about Black
Friday because if we're not on nextweek, leave it or not, Black
Friday is right around the corner, that's right. It's such less than two
(03:49):
weeks to Thanksgiving, yep, Sowe are going to talk about that,
and last last more, we liketo thank our sponsors, Jackson, Egress,
Windows, Black Wing Shooting Center,River's Ede Cutlery, seen Us Engraving,
and of course Elli the Training Facility, all who make the show possible
each week. Joining me today isjac It's just JC and me that's the
name me, Jac and Me.If you miss the show, you can
(04:11):
always catch the podcast. It's onGoogle Podcast, It's on iHeartRadio. Really
anywhere you get your podcast. We'reout there. It's the Facebook. It's
on Facebook. Facebook. We needhow many more? We need? Seventy
eight people? That is it?Eight people to I mean we have probably
twenty listening today. Sign up forour l EPD and then that puts us
into the thousand range for YouTube forYouTube. Yeah, so l EPD Farms
(04:34):
arrange. You go out there, you subscribe to our channel. We are
we are seventy eight people away forYouTube for YouTube. Then we can simulcast
this and hopefully do away with someof the bugs and stuff that we see
on the Facebook YouTube. Seventy eightpeople, you know, I'll go down
there on campus today during the gameand solicit seventy eight people. It's so
we need. That's all we need. Seventy eight people could be firearms range.
(04:57):
Just go up there and subscribe YouTubeto us on on YouTube. Let's
see what else is next. JC. I know you're gonna do at the
end, but we just have to. I mean, this is back in
the old days, it was calledArmistice Day. But you know, I
thought about it at eleven o'clock todaybecause that was the old eleventh month,
eleventh day, eleventh hours when thewar to end all wars. Boy was
that over optimistic back in eighteen Butyou know, for all of our veterans
(05:23):
out there, and there are millionsand millions of those, and we just
have to give thanks for that.I was just looking it up. You
know, out of those, allthe veterans we've had from all the love
and major wars, one million, three hundred and four thousand and seven hundred
have given their lives since seventeen seventyfive for the sacrifice for this country.
So for the for those folks, but for the all the current veterans and
(05:46):
past veterans, this this is theday we honor them. Yep. Absolutely
definitely definitely, guys A little biton the election, obviously, the lull
of the land. Now here inOhio legalization of not medicinal, but recreational
marijuana was put into place. Ithink that actually starts December seventh. We
(06:09):
are going to anyways, we aregoing to obviously have to put up signage
and stuff, because that's something thatwe had to have a hard line on
here at the store, but it'ssomething that we'll be watching closely. I
mean, so, yeah, it'sa federal law, so it's not I
can't believe anyone would give up theirright to bear arms for that. I
(06:29):
mean, there's there's little that wouldstand in my way right now to let
me walk away from protecting my familyand myself. There. I can't.
I can't imagine there's some vice thatis that means that much to me to
give that right up. This ismaybe high, Yeah, to be high
there you go. So yeah,so that is uh, I guess the
law of the land right now.Jac What other things are going on out
(06:53):
there? Anything exciting? Anything exciting? Yeah, well, there's so much
news out here. Supreme Court isnow starting to get a group of of
of cases that they're going to hearinvolving guns. Not all our Second Amendment
cases, but there's a big, big, big one. And we had
to start out at the elephant inthe room. And this just happened just
(07:14):
a couple of days ago. OnWednesday, a federal judge blocked the nationwide
enforcement of the pistol brace band anationwide enforcement. So this is so the
judge God bless him. Judge MatthewComeric. On Wednesday, this United States
(07:34):
District Court judge granted a motion tostay the enforcement of the agency's rule banning
the possession and effectively all braced gunsthat weren't registered earlier. They said,
which we all knew that the ATFhas exceeded its power when crafting the rule
and real brief thumbnail sketch when theycame out with the arm brace which are
(07:55):
like six I think something like thatback back then. Anyway, the ATF
looked at it approved, it senta letter out. Matter of fact,
when we sold those letter was inthere from the ATF, this is okay
to use. And then people questionedagain. They sent a second letter,
Hey, it's okay to use,and some police departments had some questions about
it, and they went, no, it doesn't alter the gun. It's
okay to use. Then this administrationcomes in and brings in unfortunately Ohio person
(08:18):
dunbleback for making the age. Whatwe got to do. We got to
take CAAG guns away from everyone. So he went, okay, well we'll
look at these again, and ohno, these now become short build rifles,
which is an NFA what puts itinto the classification of like a machine
gun even though it's just a shorterbuild rifle. Tens of millions of these
are estimated to be out there, tens of millions. Even the ATF said,
(08:41):
well, we don't know how manyof the are. They always lowball
at a like three and a halfmillion, but they said, well,
could be up to ten and thenthe Congressional Library did research instead it could
be up to forty million of these, which would make all these people felons
felons forty million America overnight, Imean overnight for a product John that they
bought legally and in good faith forten years. It was a letter from
(09:03):
the ATF soa it was legal, right. It wasn't like this was something
that was a flash on the market. It was around for two months and
people bought it. This has beengoing on for over ten years. And
the ATF HA said it's okay topossess an own oh until now, and
you're a fellon now? And thething, what's with that? A felon?
There was no there. This isnot a serialized item, so there
(09:24):
was no mechanism for them to eventell people they're felling out. So,
for instance, all these people upto forty million, and we still have
people coming in regularly through the storebought these in good faith. They're not
necessarily gun people. They don't followthe news for some reason, they don't
listen to our show, but theynow are felons. They come to the
(09:45):
range innocently enough to shoot it,and we have to tell them and they're
like, oh my god, Ididn't How were they supposed to hear that?
Yeah, you're now a fellon.Yeah, we didn't get a note,
We didn't get a not ovfication becauseit was legal when they bought it.
So this was a really, really, really a big deal. He
also when Chris Mark, the judge, he also there there are additional harms
because even the ATF admits that theten year cost of trying to oversee the
(10:07):
rule would cost a billion over abillion dollars just to oversee the rule the
thing too, jac what what's thestats on what would it what's the impetus
on taking this out of the handsof the people. What I mean,
is it going to stop crime? Is there a huge number of people that
are dying because of these nothing miserable, nothing, You know what it is.
(10:31):
He wants to take everything away fromeveryone. This is Biden and the
henchmen that are kind of in theadministration. Now, we don't want to
take everything away. How do weget around the Second Amendment? Well,
you know, well, you canstay in your house and shoot your shotgun
through your door. That's what Bidensaid. It's off anyone who's outside.
But yeah, we want to takeeverything. They tried to end school They
tried to end the school support. The story had a couple of weeks ago
(10:52):
where they wanted to defund any ofthe schools that had archery or any kind
of firearms programs. And I thinkwe we heard a several weeks ago from
a Black Wing Joe at Black Wingsaying it's the number one participatory sport in
all the nation is trap shooting.I had no idea those are three hundred
and forty kids out there across thenation doing they want to defund all the
(11:13):
schools. And finally someone pointed outof no, there's a government law that
says that we will be funding safetytraining at school. So then Biden just
out to be going, oh yeah, I'm always yeah. So anyway,
but this is what they're going forso GC with this judge here, We've
had a lot of questions this week, Hey, can I run back in
and buy an arm brace? Well, first of all, I don't know
(11:33):
if we have any on the shelfanymore, because, you know, with
it having been off the market fora while, we kind of ran out
somewhere along the way. We certainlyhave ones that probably have a brace,
you know, that could be fitwith a brace. Should people be you
know, jumping up and down oris it just a flash that that could
come back, or what are thethoughts on that? Well, the Department
(11:54):
of Justice didn't have a response toit because it was a federal nationwide ban
of them enforcing it. So ifthey can't enforce it, and I think
we talked several times in the past. After the first time it was overruled,
like in the Texas and the circuitcourts down there, their dealers put
them back on the shelf right away, and you and I talked about that
was like, okay, but isthis really gonna going to stand And if
(12:16):
you do that and selling it,are you putting your customers in jeopardy again?
But this time it looks like it'sit's the stickler. I mean,
it's just the fact is not aboutthe band. It's just the fact is
the ATF ex seated its authority thelaw. This is a congressional act decided
by Congress, not by some bureaucratthat you put out there and in making
(12:37):
legislating, just by sitting behind thedesk and putting something out there. So
that was the whole the impetus onthis was they can't do it. Doesn't
mean that it can't be done inthe future, that Congress can't get together
and decide to ban at materfact toJudge even said that, yeah, they
get that if they're usually masking,I can understand when they wanted to do
(12:58):
this, but they had no rightto do it do it so it was
a violation of the law what theydid. Not that he said that it
was a bad lie. So shouldwe wait to some further throwing in the
towel from the ATF to say it'soff the I mean, or I mean
because I look at it, like, you know, they say that they're
not allowed to enforce it. Well, you look at prior to last week,
(13:18):
you know, marijuana laws in Ohio. Most a lot of agencies weren't
enforcing it doesn't make it mean thatit was legal. They just weren't enforcing
it. So is that another casehere where where it's either we're not going
to enforce it. It's still notlegal, but we're not going to enforce
it. So I don't know.I'm torn a little bit there. I
haven't seen I have something. Butthey have a right to pass it again,
(13:39):
not them, but if Congress andwants to do it so I don't
wants to pass it and wants tobe signed as you know it would be,
then it'll go into effect again ifthat's the way they want to go.
It's just that the ATF had noright to arrest you or you know,
chargue with THEE and so we'll definitelykeep up on this. The other
question that that is going to comeup next is for those who admitted the
(14:00):
paperwork to have theirs turned into ashort barreled rifle per the rules under ATF,
where do they stand out? Doyou continue along with that and now
you have a short barreled rifle thatyou didn't have to pay a tax stamp
on and be fine, or doyou go and notify ATF that you are
you know, no longer having thatin a short bailed rifle configuration, because
if you can put the brace onit without being a short barreled rifle,
(14:22):
that's probably the better way to go. So there's there's certainly if you send
stuff in here on their list, right, I always send it back.
I don't I don't want to dothat now, okay, yeah, Joe
who lives here here here in NewYeah, So if you haven't done it,
you're probably not going to be ableto get arrested for it, and
you have to wait till the nexttime in case the senator you know,
passes in the Congress passes. U. So, JC, let's jump to
(14:43):
a quick break when we come back. We certainly got more news to get
to and at the bottom of thehours some new guns we're on talking of
broadcasting live from the studios at LAPDFarms. Arrange. Will be back right
after the break, you know,JC, you know who this is,
right. Well, So when NeilDiamond, when we saw him in concert
(15:03):
shortly after nine eleven, matter offact, it was like really soon after
nine to eleven, probably within aweek or ten days, he had a
concert and it was either at theshot or at nationwide and he played this.
I mean, of course it wasafter nine to eleven. Everyone the
patriotism and so forth, and heended up playing a second time in the
set. Oh really, yeah,I remember that vividly, Like what a
performer. Yea, yeah, Ireally really love that guy. Welcome back
(15:26):
to on Target Diamond. Host Ericjoined today in the studio with JC Eric
and JC Show today. But youknow what, we're not by ourselves,
John, because we have a hugelives audience. Yeah, I applaud them,
I coming, I know the veteranstoday. Yes, so Jac kind
of talking the news and stuff, what else you got? Kind of a
(15:48):
could be it is a bad oneand it could be even a gateway to
a worse one. But this justhappened. Also, so the Seventh Circuit
Court in Illinois has upheld the assaultweapons and in large capacity magazine ban for
the state of Illinois. And ithad been they reversed a lower court decision
(16:11):
that blocked the gun band. Thatwas a Court of Appeals that put it
up at the Seven Court of Appeals, I should say, in this case,
they said, you know what,We're going to go ahead and pass
this. The judge in charge wasa said judged and I forget her first
name, but she's one of theClinton employee of appointees. And I think
(16:34):
you know Clinton passing the assault weaponsbeen back in ninety four and had that
explanation. So what she said herlogic and this is this is kind of
a big This is the big significanceof this is it marks the very first
time a federal appeals court issued adecision upholding a statewide ban on assault supposedly
(16:56):
assault weapons and large capacity magazines andif you don't and she opened up a
new approach to it. And thenew approach was because she actually even used
part of the decision from Heller whenthey looked at this. Her name is
Diane Wood. By the way,she said, Heller informs us that the
latter weapons, these are full automatic. These are military weapons. You know,
(17:19):
they're not protected by the Second Amendmentand therefore maybe regulated in band.
And she goes, well, becausethese are indistinguishable from machine guns, they
can be treated in the same manner. And her logic is, really,
they look like the M sixteen's andyou know the only difference is they fire
(17:40):
semi automatic and in M sixteen canfire full automatic and semi automatic. So
there's just that one little difference ofbeing fully automatic that doesn't make any difference
at all. And therefore, sothis is a new opening because she's using
Heller a Supreme Court decision to saythat this is okay to do. And
uh, this is really they said, it's just a sweeping blow. They
(18:03):
had six other cases coming up,and they said, this opens the gate
for a different campro for stakes. But would hold. I mean, I
don't you know where they're you know, they show the uh, the Firearms
Policy Coalition, the plaintiff in this, and they don't you know where we're
going to go with it. Itwill need to be kind of revisited.
I can't imagine the descending justice. This is the most popular. God,
(18:26):
this is the America's rifle. There'slike about twenty five million of these out
there. And he said use fordefense, for hunting, for lawful purposes,
and you know you're going to bein them, and goes, well,
it looks like one and the onlydifference is that auto any But you
know, it's just back to thelooks of it looks mean, it looks
like one then, but the factis it was, Uh, you know,
(18:48):
so we're going to see. Ican't imagine California and all the Eastern
boards and Washington or Oregon trying tojump on this bandwagon. So we'll just
have to wait and see what happened. So speaking about these, you know
a lot of these seem to beultimately going to the Supreme Court. This
week's Supreme Court came out and saidthey were hearing a case about domestic violence
and whether someone who has a protectionorder against them should have their right to
(19:12):
own firearms taken away. We actuallydid a news story on it this week
with Channel four something. Certainly thatI've been reading a lot about you This
just based from you know, lawprofessors of different schools around and what they
think and the kind of the wordis from whoever that it's probably going to
lean towards upholding it, because theysaid, basically, the all the history
(19:37):
of the United States have shown thatviolent people shouldn't have firearm right. So
they just said, you know, they can't predict what is going to happen
on the six or three conservative court, but you know, in either way
it would be a win that theycould not look so bad at doing.
And I think that violent people shouldn'thave those. I think we can all
(19:59):
agree to that, and specifically inthis case the individual, he's a jehu,
I mean he has had It's notjust that he had a reign of
protection order against him for against hisspouse. He had fired a firearm numerous
times that people over the years pulledit on innocmp. I mean, this
man should not own a firearm. But it does beg the question that you
(20:19):
know, should someone in society, maybe a felon, maybe someone convicted the
domestic violence thirty years ago, doesthat prohibition against having a firearm? Should
that continue with them through their lifeif they've paid their dues to society or
whatever, or do you make thatsteadfast rule that if you're a convicted felon,
you lose that right and that shouldbe a deterrent to not go out
(20:40):
there and become a convicted fella. It's definitely a question that it ad you
know, and as you know, they're looking at it, because there's all
sorts of felon aging right, felonieslike one of our former quarterbacks has done
for a hit of state and becomea fella that way, but writing a
bad check, so should that, you know, prevent you from ever,
you know, owning a firearm, your constitutional right forever, you know,
(21:00):
versus a violent phone. So Idon't know how this is going to shake
out, but we're certainly looking atit. Yep, two things before we
go into the bottom of the hournews JC Lewiston, Maine. The shooter
there. It looks like once again, once again it wasn't the gun that
failed here, it was it wasthe system itself self failed to notify the
(21:22):
next database that this individual had beeninvoluntarily committed. So this is what the
second or third time we've seen thishappen and what it resorted in. And
yeah, happened in Texas and thechurch, and its just the fact that
the military is not reporting any ofthese things. Then it happens and it
doesn't go to Nix and so youwalk in if there's nothing on the on
(21:45):
your record from Nicks, then it'san okay thing to do. This guy
should not have had a firearm. We things were in place, and the
government themselves again didn't report it throughthe database. Therefore it never got put
in able to go and buy arifle and commit this handish acts. It's
crazy, you know the fact thatI first they did night it, but
it was no it was an involuntary, involuntary thing. Last thing before we
(22:10):
go to the break, I wantto give a shout out to let's see,
I got people signing up JC forYouTube out here. John, thank
you for signing up. I alsowanted to say hi, and I forgot
his name, gentlemen. Came inyesterday from Chillicothe, listens to us every

a shout out to him. Thanksfor listening and for driving all that way
to come see us yesterday. Sothat's really nice. You're the nameless person.
(22:33):
The nameless person he knows well,I can tell you why he was.
He bought a Kimber mag So thereyou go. KA, all right,
guys, we're going to go tothe bottom of the hour news.
When we come back, we gota little bit more news to get to.
Then we have some really neat newfirearms to the market that you might
want to consider, and then alsosome Black Friday specials that you should be
thinking about. This right around thecorner. Raw Target broadcasting live from the
(22:55):
studios of LPD Farms Arrange'll be backright after the break. Welcome back to
on Target. I'm your host EricFlung with JC. JC and I are
the two up here today and abunch of friends out there in the live
study audience DCS Live Live. Lookat them, I'll applaud them. Great,
(23:15):
all right, so good to seeyou guys. It really is.
If you are at nine nine nineBethel Road right now, you could see
this absolutely know why. Yeah, yeah, we'll find your share. Another
shout out to all the folks. Now I start seeing people subscribing to YouTube.
Thanks Ashley for doing it. Weare close. We will get there
soon. I'm not going to makemy son and daughter sign up when I
get off here. There you go, there perfect. Jesse were talking about
(23:38):
some news one other, one otherpiece of news. I wanted to get
to that. That was kind ofkind of sad news, but I wanted
to get to it before we hitsome of these guns. This is really
kind of surprising to me, andsome people say, well, it's a
Democrat, so it shouldn't be thatsurprising. But this was a gallupole that
came out. The thing about thegalipol a very acurate pole plus and minus
(24:00):
four. But they've been asking thesame question since nineteen fifty nine. This
was the same question, but lookat the results this time. And this
was just came up on the secondis when this was posted of the month
here, So not long ago, almost half of Democrats that they pulled the
United States, almost half of allDemocrats support a categorical ban on handguns.
(24:29):
I was just like shot. Fortynine percent on the poll of self identified
Democrats supported a law that would bein the possession of handguns except for police
and government. That was yeah,I say, I get a Hio Hitler
salute out there. That's exactly that'sI won't wait a minute. Half forty
(24:51):
nine percent. That's plus or minus. So it could be more than half
or a little less. But butand this is a gallup poll, not
you know, somebody just calling onthe line talking to ten people when coming
up with it. It still sowhen it came to people identified as Republicans,
ninety three percent opposed any ban onhandguns. Independents were seventy three percent.
(25:15):
So when you homogenize that whole thing, it came out to twenty seven
percent of US adults believe that nobodyoutside of the police or government should own
a handgun, didn't say semi automatagementa handgun. I went, wow,
this is the United States of America, and half of the Democrats believe we
shouldn't even known handguns. I justthis just forored me. So, dog,
(25:40):
do you think do you think andthere's a reason for this question,
do you think the general knowledge offirearms today versus fifty years ago amongst the
people? I mean, is thatpart of it? I mean, we
don't educate them in schools. Wedon't. I mean, fifty years ago,
you might not have been a gunperson, but you you appreciated the
Second Amendment and maybe knew about it. I mean it has to be I
(26:03):
mean, we and I hate tosay this, but we had an individual
call in this morning and he hadfound he had moved and sounds like a
you know, younger person and uhhe in the course of unpacking his his
father, he said, was agun person. He wasn't a gun person.
And in the course of unpacking, you ready, jac found a bullet.
(26:26):
Goodness, and it's in a box, and did you have to go
to psychology? Scared to death? He wants to know, wanted to know
if we could dispose of it.He wasn't sure how he was going to
get it here, and and waswas you know, I'm thinking, Okay,
you don't have to be you know, we're not here to say everyone
to go out and run out bya gun. But jeez, I mean,
I can't imagine living your life souneducated about anything. I mean,
(26:49):
I don't. I guess I justdon't get that. I guess it's the
environment that they're brought up in.Well, I know, I don't know.
When Yeah, when you look ateverything, look at what's going.
I mean, we went from rural. We hunted. You know, when
I grew up, everyone I toldthe true story. I mean we got
on the bus last time. Ican remember counting your sixteen kids on the
bus with un case shot guns goingto school because we went rabbit hunting afterwards.
(27:10):
And this was the time of yearthat happened, and no one said
a thing. It wasn't any issue. Now, the urbanization and this and
that you're constantly just swamped by mediaand you look at the big media companies.
When someone pointed out to me thatthat two of the three are owned
and the long haul by by Arabcountries that actually own like it's either CBS
(27:30):
or ABC ones owned by ge thebig the big guys, just this whole
sway of what you're fed. Andanytime somebody uses the handgun for anything,
it's major, major news. Neveronce did they tell you about the two
point five million times a year ahandgun is employed, not fired necessarily percent
(27:52):
of the time. They're they're notactually more than that. They're not fired
to defend yourself or somebody else,to protect yourself, not by police or
military. These are citizens and notagainst animals. These are two point five
million. That was a year.It was so big the Democrats made the
CDC take that statistic off this year. It was out there, the statistic
(28:14):
was out there. That comes outto think, do the math. Three
hundred and sixty five and a twopoint five million. I mean it was
almost four hundred and fifty thousand timesa day. Somebody is not a day,
four thousand, five hundred times aday somebody is using a handgun to
defend themselves. You'll never hear that. It's only I will say, only
the negative one bit of potentially encouraging. We've done a lot of interviews in
(28:38):
the last ten days, actually abunch, probably six or seven with local
media. A lot of new reporters. I mean, you know, reporting
is said to they always recycling andgetting to bigger markets, and there's a
lot of turnover and stuff. Thevast majority of the ones that have come
through in these last couple of weekshaven't been what I would call what your
(28:59):
typical media person would be. Theywere ones who I had a conversation about
one growing up shooting trap. Onesaid, oh yeah, I shot all
the time with my dad. Imean, so maybe there's a little bit
of a of a more of atolerant here, or at least telling a
story and not you know, pushingit one way or the other here.
I mean, I think firearms safetyshould be taught in all high schools.
So I mean, even if youhate guns, you never want your kid
(29:22):
to encounter one and not know whatto do exactly. So let's talk about
fun stuff. JC. It ismidyear. I mean it's the end of
the year, but it's really midyearon the manufacturer side of things. But
there's some new things that came outand there's three things I want to talk
about kind of quickly here. Oneis is getting a lot of attention Smith
and Weston came out with another rifle. They came out with the like a
(29:47):
car being rifle. They came outwith I think the the what was the
footing one. They just came outwith the shotgun. No, the footing
rifle. What is it called?I thought we we've ftc there you go,
oh yeah, And it was afooding car being kind of to compete
with this up two thousand. Thisone doesn't fold. But there's some neat
(30:07):
things about this Smith and Wesson response. Nine millimeter has the ability to swap
out the magazine well to take itclock mags and that amazing Smith and Wesson.
It takes a it takes a blockmag easy transition from what I've read.
So if you have a Smith andWesson, you know, nine millimeter
of handgun, those magazines will slipin. But if you want to use
(30:30):
glock magazines, you can easily detachit and it changes the magazine well to
accept the block magazines. So whichyou come in thirty three rounders by the
way, right, and a lotof good things going for it. It
has, you know, it takesa lot of It looks like AR could
take an AR grip and AR stockto it. This stock comes with magpools,
so it's Nikes right out of thebox. A lot of good things
(30:52):
going forward, places to put acceptionesup on the rail. The only thing
I'm not crazy about, and thisis just me, is it is polymer.
A lot of it is, whichyou know, looking on our gun
case, half of our gun caseis polymer, but it has that polymer
fuel to it almost like they're they'refifteen twenty two rifles and stuff. So
that's just one thing that is wepointed out though in the show. I
(31:15):
mean it's not like rudimancluttering lightweight likethe like the fifteen to twenty two,
but what is it? I mean, glocks are polymers, I know,
I polymer' steel. This is justa carbing version. So obviously it weighs
more and it's a nine milimeter andit has the interchangeable. There's so much
there is if you yeah, ithas a lot going on for it.
(31:36):
Yep, uh, you know, because the I really am a fan of
that Ruger pc uh carbing and nineknowing the PC nine, but this,
you knowjustable stock. Everything there asa Smith and Wesson. If you're familiar
with them, then it's gonna you'regonna be very familiar with handling this.
It's it and for home defense,uh nine million, you don't have that
recoiled. I worry that about overpenetration so much if you're not using fifty
(32:00):
five points. But yeah, there'sa lot going for it. So jac
the other one, the other one, this, I don't know why I'm
so much fun. Okay. Sothe contact KSG, as you know,
is a twelve gage shotgun dual magazinetubes holds fourteen plus pl twelve twelve.
Yeah, a pup shotgun. Soit is extremely short versus your standard eighteen
(32:23):
inch Rimmonton eight seven or something. So it has a lot going for.
It's been out of your four pointone inches there you why did I even
doubt you? And so it hasa lot going for. It's been out
there for a number of years.A lot of us have them using law
enforcement use a little bit as well, because you can toggle between those magazine
tubes. A couple of years later, they came out with basically the same
(32:43):
firearm from a footprint standpoint, butwith modern magazine tube called the KS seven
twenty six point one inches. Yeahis this so? Is it so a
little bit lighter? Single magazine toothough, so a little more compact and
very lightweight and s extreme though yeah, but very well, this kind of
takes between it kind of merges bothof those. It's KSG life because it
(33:05):
has double magazine two and it's KSseven like on the width of it in
the footprint and the h and thehand or grip so has that acceptate grip
which also is the site channel. So except JC, what's unique about this
one, Well, it is infour ten. It is so it is
only like an inch and a halfwide. It weighs five point four pounds
(33:28):
and it holds in the two anda half it holds fourteen plus one,
which is the same as the twelvegauge, and in the three inches same
as the twelve gauge. It's eachtube holds five plus one in the chamber,
so you have either you know, ten plus one or fourteen plus one
depending on and the other thing.People as four ten, four ten,
four ten has come, there's likefourteen different defensive loads out there now for
(33:50):
four to ten. You know, well, one of my favorites triple odd
buck where they have to use threeof those in a magnum and it's I
mean, so it's viable. Andas one of the things I said,
they said they would call it almostlike recoil us. They said, just
because of the fourth to ten. They said, it's almost like it doesn't
have recoil. So there you havea twin tubes fourteen plus one of defensive
(34:13):
rounds that probably anybody in your familycan It's just it's cute. So it's
well. Jac The first thing Iwould do, and I don't think I
brought it out here, is giveit to me. Oh that's the second
go all right. But the firstthing would be I don't I'm not a
big fan of the hand the handleto it, but you can remove that
(34:34):
can handle and we sell there's apicatinny rail that celtex sels that will replace
it, so you can replace it, put a little optic on it.
And so I don't know. Ithink it's something that is certainly a feasible
you know, self defense, andit's good and just because I thought it
was really really weird before when thecase you know, the seven came out
yep. But if you look atthe reviews, everyone said, ah ax,
(34:55):
really horrible, he goes boy,But it's really easy to shoot right
and the height is great, andit's got a big long fiber optic in
there. There's about that long.Picks up a lot of lights, so
that has a lot of stuff goingfor it. Last thing, JC and
this is another one that is Iknow people think that my office is just
filled with guns that I want, and it kind of is. But this
is another one that just I guesshas been rebirthed. It's there you go.
(35:17):
It's a second Berth And this isthe Burretta and it's the eighty X.
So the original Bretta eighty series, which that was made up until just
probably a few years ago, Ithink even in the two thousand it was
made. What this is is athree eighty, but it is a I
guess you would say a duty sizethree eighty. It's built on a duty
(35:37):
size, which means it's going tolast forever. It is a blowback three
eighty with the difference is between thisone and the other one. This one
holds thirteen plus one round so youhave like fourteen rounds of three eighty.
Why would you want that, Well, there's a lot of people that can't
handle the recoil, pull them back, slide, things like that. But
the three eighty has been a policecaliber for you know, forever since it
(36:00):
was invented. That's why it wasinvented by the way way back in the
single digit nineteens, nineteen oh fiveor six. I think he has a
lot going for easy heavy duty.Oh also has a optic an optics ready
so and it's also has a placeto put a light on there or a
(36:22):
laser light would be better for it. And so with they're back in stock.
We didn't have them for a minuteand they've been flying out the door
double but really a nice, nicelymade gun. Very nice. That very
nice. So a couple of newthings that have been hot recently, those
were we wanted to make sure everyoneknew about those. We're gonna jump to
a break when we come back. We're gonna talk a little Black Friday.
(36:43):
I know, I'm kind of gettingahead of ourselves. It's a couple of
weeks away, but we're gonna talkabout some of those specials to get people
kind of thinking and there's some reallygood stuff out there JC, so we
will talk about that. On theother side of the break. We're on
Target broadcasting live from the studios ofLAPD Farms. Arrange will be back right
after the break. So this Jactake that. Put that gun back on
(37:04):
the counter and on your briefcase. You know, Dev listens to the show.
I know, I know. Welcomeback to on Target. I'm your
host. Derek joined today in theLPD studios. I got JC and me.
We are right here. A goodscene, John, Really it is
I mean so much. So manytimes you're on the phone and it just
it's not the same as it's notthe same for me either, So so
(37:28):
I really yeah, I just lovebeing here with you guys. Yep,
good seeing you. Thanks for allthe studio audiences out here, and thanks
for everyone. Actually, I tellyou, we got quite a few people
signing up on our YouTube channel today, so that's another good thing. Speaking
of good things, the game nextweek hasn't been announced yet, so we
don't know if we're going to bepreempted for the radio show or not.
(37:49):
So I wanted to get in andtalk a little bit about Black Friday specials.
I mean, it's right around thecorner, right, So, like
we've done in years past, we'regoing to continue our tradition. I don't
know how we continue to do thisevery year, but we're going to continue
our tradition that on Black Friday andprobably that weekend, depending on how long
things last. If you come into LPD and purchase a Level two membership
(38:12):
that's one hundred and fifty dollars,we'll give you a gun. I mean
how, I mean, come on, I mean all you do is buy
the membership and yet now you hadto okay atf your listing. You got
to do the background check. Iget it. Yeah yeah, but you
will get a free firearm, andyou might you might be saying, oh,
what kind of gun are you goingto get? There's a couple of
different ones that choose from this year. You can, first of all,
(38:34):
you can choose from a Buris FastFire red Dot. So if you've been
looking for a red dot, wehave some of these that you could you
could take as your your freebie oragain I don't have it up here.
I have brought one up here,a Celtech P seventeen twenty two, those
little night Neat twenty twos that arethere. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, the seventeen rounds seventeen. They are lightweight and incredibly accurate. I'm
(39:00):
surprised at how accurate there. Yes, super neat, so that would be
a choice or I don't know thisone. I can't believe one option is.
Now, this is a used firearmand there's only a couple of them.
Well there's I think there's I don'tknow how many. There's five or
six of them. This is thedeal. This is this is really fabulous
deal. A two, two andforty, but it comes with I think
(39:23):
two or three mags. There werepolice trades and some of them are I
ended up getting you got I meanit hadn't been fired yet. Yeah,
yeah, I mean you you thoughtabout getting I thought about getting it,
but I really didn't. Uh so, uh, I mean look at that
close. I was close, butI mean to be given. Yeah,
(39:43):
I mean two to six No sucha six and just I mean yeah,
please also has uh night sights onit doesn't exactly yeah, night sights three
mags. So that's just a couplethat the giveaways those are if none of
these excite you, John, ifyou do a level two membership. We
have all kinds of firearms where youcan add a little bit to get so
for instance, like there's a Kimber. I think there's a Kimber three O
(40:07):
eight over there, rifle Century arm, AKD I'm just going down the list.
A double star ar, a bunchof delton Ars for a couple of
hundred dollars. So you get themembership, you pay a couple hundred dollars
more, you walk out with thedelton Ar. WHOA, So all kinds
of good stuff. There's gonna beat some sales on thirty round magazines kind
(40:28):
of we'll call it the Ginther sale, and I mean for inexpensive. We're
talking eleven twelve bucks for a thirtyround ar mag potentially some sale on some
amo depending on if that comes in. What else is here? Let's see,
let's see, and there's that andthat, oh John. Gift cards
(40:52):
always a big thing, right, always a big thing. And when you
go into the store and you're buyingthat gift card, sometimes you're thinking to
your I know, I'm thinking,man, I wish someoneould buy me a
gift card like this. Right well, this year, if you buy a
gift card here, we're going togive you a card for ten dollars off
(41:12):
a future purchase of twenty five.So you get a gift card for a
family friend, we'll slip this toyou and then yeah, to slip yourself,
get off of a twenty five, right, so there you go.
So that will be there. Andthen Smith and Wesson, we have a
bunch John, you can look throughhere a bunch of Smith and Wesson's on
sale. Not just on sale,we're talking about below costs ones where they
(41:34):
just stop making that style for areason or they switch it to another one.
We're talking shield pluses, all kinds. Some of these were ones that
were previously on their l E list, so they're only sold to law enforcement
at this kind of price. Butnow we can open those up. There
is going to be a bunch ofstuff on sale, so I mean,
it really is. This is exciting. So yeah, and it starts on
(41:54):
Black Friday, so the day afterThanksgiving, and the way it's running the
past, if they're things that arethat are left over, if they don't
sell out on Black Friday, we'llcontinue through that weekend, so which I
assume. I mean, there's there'sso many the free guns to give away,
I bet you we end up spillingover to Saturday. Wow. This
is really it really is. Imean no, no, yeah, yes,
(42:17):
on this this is a great greatfirearms there is there weren't talk enough
about our range, but I'm tellingyou if if you're looking for a gift,
I mean our range passes I meanthe good for a year and people
don't realize how good our range is. Our range is actually run by a
guy who are in the Marine Corpsrange at Quantico for several years. I
mean there. We have top notchfolks up there to help you if you
(42:39):
need help. We have great classes. So you know, say I don't
shoot that much, but if youwant to learn, if you want to
be safe, we have beginners classes, we have advanced classes taught by someone
who after a two months they somedays a week for two months twenty four
hours, came in number one inshooting for a personal protection course for the
military. So he does our someof our would do some of our advanced
(43:00):
courses. Don't know if he's stillavailable now, but anyway, we have
great folks you need, you needto come in so well. And the
other thing too, John. Youknow Black Friday. We make a big
deal about Black Friday. We alsolike to call it Cindy's Birthday. I'm
watching on the on the Facebook feedhere that is Sidey's birthday. So maybe
we have time to alter this andnot be Black Friday Special. Maybe it's
(43:21):
Sunday Cindy's Birthday special, so that'salways Aye, that would be it.
Yeah, make a little more personalizedand stuff, So that's a jac.
I don't think there's anything else excitinggoing on other than than the game tonight.
Yeah, game tonight. But again, just hats off. I can't
say it enough for our for ourveterans out there and serving our country and
(43:44):
protecting us, and and I justI applaud them. Yeah, absolutely,
guys, thanks for spending the uhGE's the fastest hour on radio with us
again. We'll be back next weekhopefully fingers crossed. Watch for the football
game. Time depends on when we'reon or not. Stop by and see
us anytime. We're here every daybut Monday, and as always, guys,
(44:05):
let's be careful out there, allright,
