Speaker 1 (00:00):
So it's it's not quite it's not quite here yet,
and by here I mean the United States. But the
eused requirement to support alternative app stores has opened.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Up a whole new world of options.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
You live in the European Union, you can now have
a dedicated porn app on your iPhone for the first time. Yeah,
it's a thing that's called hot tub. It's a porn
search engine, and it's the first native porn app that
can be installed on iOS devices through legitimate means EU
Digital Markets Act that requires Apple to support third party

(00:40):
app stores.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
It's called hot tub my package. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
It's available through the Alternative App Store ALT store PAL
and it allows users to search and watch content across
the number of popular porn sites. The app is also yeah, well,
the app is also built. I guess it's all.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
But the app is also billed as porn without pop ups.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
You know, you stick your finger through the middle of
it and kind of hold it and bite it.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
The app prevents the slew of shady advertisements that you're
gonna get serve visiting these sites on a browser also
saves you the hassle.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
They called a hassle.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
It also saves you the hassle of having to open
an incognito tab for your search. So it's called hot tub.
It's in the European Union. But yeah, it's coming this way.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Let me write that down so I don't forget. He's
the radio voice of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Bob mcgelligate is joining us right now, and Bob Happy,
What day is it?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Tuesday? Happy? Tuesday?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Is it Tuesday?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
It is? It is?

Speaker 3 (01:48):
I don't know what day it is. This this has
been the weirdest.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Trip, brother.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I was gonna say that you have not slept in
your own bed for a long time. Wednesday, January twenty
ninth would have been the last fast time, right unless
you guys left for Vegas that night, which would actually
be well a week now. Okay, So it's been a
week since you've been in your own bed.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Man, right, and in my own time zone?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And yeah, oh my god, you're all over the place, right,
I mean, uh, we left Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
We flew to the Pacific time zone, played in Vegas. Yeah,
flew to the Mountain time zone, the Salt Lake City
and played the next day. Yeah, flew to Texas the
Central time zone and played Sunday got host and slew
yesterday back to the east here in wonderful Buffalo, Yes, wonderful, wonderful.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Hey, let's start back with Las Vegas, which, as you know,
is one of my very favorite places on earth.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
And I was so jealous.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
They know how many people told me to take new
you and Vegas.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I'm wanted there.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I think it was zero.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I hope people money there, That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
They're like, you know that guy, you got his number
because we need to talk to him.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah. Do you do any gambling while you were there?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
No, okay, er zero, I told you I.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Was. You remember the probably least watch vacation movie Vegas Vacation.
Uh huh when Chevy Chase went to the the casino
with like witch hand and take a number between one
and ten. I'm so bad at gambling. I would get
cleaned out in that place.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, paper rock scissors, You'd be like, right, exactly, would
you like a table?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Just hand us your wallet now? Right?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah? What did he say is like, I'll tell you what,
Chris Wald, why don't I just kick you in the
nuts and we, you know, go out back and we'll
say yeah, it was great.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I'm like, ah, that's so perfect. Yeah, yeah, well that's good.
At least you recognize that.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
You're like, no, no, no, no, no no, I won't
be giving away my money.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I watch everybody else get cleaned out, and I mean it,
I mean it was some guys were fast.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
So right and what by the way, so back to
the you know, the hockey part this conversation. Sorry, man,
what a fantastic beginning to a road trip with that
game going into T Mobile Arena.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
You got the Golden Knights, who yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I mean a very very good, good team, no question
about that, and the Jackets taken to overtime and and
end up winning it.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
That was, man, that was so fun to see that.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I'll be I'm not gonna lie and say I stayed
up the whole way to watch till the very end.
But what a fantastic game that was. That had to
that had to energize the guys, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, it's you know, and we've won there before in
games where I thought there would be no chance. I mean,
Elvis had his first shutout in that building in his career.
You know, like, this team's played some really good games there,
so I know that Vegas is good. I also know
that they were kind of they're kind of going through
a rough stretch because the teams that are really good

(04:56):
in this league and they know they're going to be
in the playoffs, they know they're going to challenge for
the Stanley Cup this end of January February. This is
the all in the schedule where you can catch teams
like that not at their best. And so yeah, that
was that was a big win to go in there
and do that.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'll take it. I'll take it, no question.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Then the next night in Utah for the Utah and
that's Salt Lake, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, So that one ends up going to overtime, and
I'm saying to myself, you know, I like our chances
if we get into overtime, because it feels like the
Jackets figured out how to win these close games. Bob,
I am am I correct on that assumption. I mean,
it's it's amazing what we're able to see from them
right now.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
With that. Yeah, it's, uh, you know, the overtimes, the
three on three, I mean, it's there's no strategy to it,
to be honest with you. It's it's a puck possession game
and when you get a chance to score, you better
score because if you miss, the other team's probably gonna
get the puck and then they're going to have an opportunity.
And it's all about odd man rushes. And that's how
that and ended with Cole Cylinder and Zach Warenski going

(06:02):
in on the goaltender two on zho no defense. So yeah,
it's but they've they were terrible at it early in
the year, terrible, and they have overcome it. And I
talked to Zach about this before the game in Dallas
on Sunday, like this team has. There were a lot
of things that were really bad at at the beginning
of the year, and they have slowly fixed those things

(06:23):
one by one. You know, winning on the road was
almost impossible. Now they're going and winning on the road.
Winning in overtime was almost impossible. Now they're winning regularly
in overtime. They hadn't won a game in a back
to back situation until that game in Utah. They had
seven chances where you played two nights in a row,
and on the second game they hadn't won it seven tries.

(06:44):
So they've just kind of checked the boxes off on
the way.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Yeah, that when they when that rush came down and
that tiktak toe. I think that's what is the nickname
for that, or the way that they're back and forth.
You know, as a goaltender, you have you have not.
You're just guess saying once they get close enough on
who's going to try to shoot? I mean he had
no Zach just flipped it in. The guy had no
chance the goaltender. But man, I'm telling you, that is

(07:10):
so cool to watch that when it's the Jackets doing
it and then ending it. But man, when you see
them up there, Yeah, like you said, no defender in
the way, it was just like if they get that
down the and you don't have anything rolling on you
and it's the right sp you know, there's still a
lot of things that can go wrong in that situation.
But man, was that a thing of beauty to watch?
That was really fun.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, he should have tried calling it wasn't as beautiful.
Is that where he passes in the span of the
second and a half.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Douk duk duk duk dug duck pucket buried, right.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I Mean it's just like, man, I'm like the goaltender,
I'm trying to decide who's going to shoot the stamp
then right, and I thought Zach was gonna shoot it,
and he passed it back and I thought, oh, Cole
certainly has to shoot it now because that's almost out
of the picture. And then he passes it back to
him right on the doorstep.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Oh my god, that was so fun. Oh my gosh,
it's exciting. So then they take, you know, a two
to zero so far on the four game road trip
into Dallas, and then they score first and I'm just like, man,
let's go. You know, a very good Dallas Stars team,
let's go. And then all of the oxygen was sucked
out of what felt like the organization when we did

(08:20):
not get the high sticking call and that was that
should have been a no goal. And I'll tell you what, Bob,
to watch Evison coach Evison after the game, and he's
just out and out calling. Now, I don't know, I
never really witnessed that much with with many hockey coaches,
and to see him basically just talking about how atrocious

(08:40):
and I'm paraphrasing, how atrocious the you know, the uh,
the officials were in that game. It was awful that
and uh, I think it was Ken Johnson who got
spun around at one point. I mean there was there
were multiple calls that it's just tough to overcome that.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
You're on the road, it's your third game.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
You're against a very good team in Dallas Stars, and
then you got the officials basically against you.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Yeah, they say everything's bigger in Texas and that includes
the blunders by the official the officials in the game.
So look, and it sounds like crying over spilt up,
but Dante Fabreau got elbowed in the face with no call,
and then the guy that did the elbowing curled out
in front of the net and tipped in the first
Dallas goal. So the plate that should have never happened

(09:28):
because there should have been a penalty on that. That
wasn't Ken Johnson, as you said, Now, I will say this,
Ken Johnson should have got that puck out of the zone.
He held onto it too long and he curled back
and he shouldn't have done that, Okay, But then the
guy grabs him by the hip and spins him out,
so that shouldn't have been allowed, spins him out into
them having a two on one, So that could have
would should have been a penalty, and then I still

(09:52):
have no idea how you can look at replays and
see where that the stick that impacted that puck, how
it cannot be above the crossbar, and how that cannot
be in the legal goal. Uh, it makes absolute zero
sense to me. So I could of the five goals
Dallas had, they should have had two. It's not the

(10:14):
way it was. It happens. Sometimes you run into crap officiating.
Sometimes it's just not your night the whole nine yards.
But it was disappointing, and then you know, and then
you suffer three big injuries on top of that.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Oh man, And that's the thing that really added insult
to injury there.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
You know, Carill Marchenko he's out for what.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
At least for it's four to six weeks, maybe more,
something like that, with a broken jaws, that freak top score.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, it's just like no.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
And Dante Fabreau, of course, like you said, he's he's
he gets injured. And then I thought Zach was going
to go out in the second period. I don't even
know what was going on. He kept messing with his
hand and he kept showing it, and Jody's talking about
it on TV, and I'm going.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Please, no, not, Zach.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I mean, it was just like, you gotta be kidding me.
We're getting killed, is not? I mean, it's the game though, right,
it's the.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Game it is now. None of those guys are playing tonight.
So you've got no Wrensky, no Fabrou. Those are your
top two defensemen, they're out. Marchenko's out. He's your top
line right winger. So you're coming into Buffalo, a team
that you've had great success against in past years, and

(11:23):
I mean you're you're behind the eight ball when it
comes to the injuries. But that doesn't mean that you
can't win the game. I mean it just simply other
guys have got to step up and and do a job,
and maybe some of them have to overachieve tonight to
get it done. But that's where this team sits right now.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah, we need fantility to really elevate here. And still,
I mean, there's we can start naming the people that
really I mean there it's not like they're not producing
right now, but it's just like I'm just gonna need
a little bit more out of you.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
But you know, you know what you need, see so
that that's where you go. And I understand you going
there because those are your big guys. You want your
big guys to do even more. But i'll tell you
where this team is suffering right now. The guys on
the third and fourth line. They're doing very well. Defensively,
they're playing well there. They need some goals out of
those guys. They need to get secondary scoring because you
can't rely on just the two lines all the time.

(12:12):
And now you don't have Wrenski who's just been a
driving force and getting points from the blue line. So
if you can get the defenseman to chip in, that's great.
But those those six guys, and I'm talking about Justin
dan Forth, Zach Aston Reese, Matthew Olivier, Sean Corrally, mckil putia,
and now Kevin Lebank is going back into the lineup,
need to get a little something offensively out of those guys.

(12:35):
Keep playing the defense, are you guys are doing great,
But I need a little bit more from you guys
when it comes to putting up points.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Well, if there's a coach in this league that A
understands that and B can get them to buy in
and say here's how we do this, it would be
coach Everison and I feel like we might be witnessing
that tonight, Bob, And I'm sure you're going, yeah, I hope.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
So we need it.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
We've got to throw the records out obviously twenty one,
six and five, the Sabers and the Jackets. Now at
you know, gosh, this is fantastic looking at they won
more now than they have all of last year. And yeah,
it's crazy and it's fantastic to watch. But man, we
got to keep it going because everybody else is keeping
it going right now.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
It's stiff, man, it's very very stiff competition.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
And look, Buffalo has been playing really good hockey recently here.
The only reason their records crap is because they had
a thirteen game losing streak that they're not going to
come back from. They're not going to the playoffs, but
that doesn't mean they've been playing playoff style hockey here.
They haven't won four games in a row in years.
They have a chance to do that tonight. Their best
player got knocked out of a game against New Jersey

(13:39):
a couple of days ago. Nobody retaliated on the cheap
shot hit, So they're going to be running around like
potentially running around looking for fights that don't exist tonight.
So there's a lot of stuff going on here, Lazer.
This is you know, there's injuries on both sides, and
then that situation where the Savers they feel they've been
called out by everybody in the high key world. So

(14:00):
I have no idea what the first ten minutes of
this game.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Could it involve Olivier dropping the gloves going?

Speaker 3 (14:06):
I will involve it will involve me. That's that's the thing.
Because and I talked to some people. I'm really good
friends with the Buffalo beat Rid here and I've known
him for years, and we were talking about that, and
he goes, oh, yeah, these guys will be looking to
be looking. Besides, said, do they realize we had Matthew
Olivier on this team. I just want to make sure
that you know that you have nobody that matches up
with Matthew Olivier, just so we can be on the

(14:28):
same pat here.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
I can't wait to watch puck drop seven o'clock tonight.
The Jackets are at the Sabers and he's the radio
voice for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Bomb McGall be zero fights because I said.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
That I hope you're wrong, but man, I can't wait.
We'll see, we'll see, and uh, usually you got pretty
good instincts there. I mean, you've been talking about this
for a few years now, you've been looking at this
since and studying it, if you will, so full time hockey.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
You dropped the pucket. Everybody grabbed somebody right, face off.
We this crap before it to start.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I wish we would see something old time like that,
but it doesn't exist anymore, unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Bob, thanks brother.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Bobby Max Sports on Twitter if you want to follow him,
but Bob, thanks, brother, appreciate

Speaker 3 (15:11):
It all right, pleasure, Thanks, We'll see you
