It was awesome. Came back home. But the thing watching

But when I tell you the energy on our sidelines

I mean, Quinn Yours was supposed to be the next

Stroud and there was no way that he was going
to get on the field. I love the fact that

But right now, you got to talk about motivation, and
it's in life, man. It's all it takes is something
small to get you to play larger than life. Something
some type of doubt, proving people wrong, have that little
chip on your shoulder, whatever it may be. And him
going against a team that he wanted to play for,
he couldn't get on the field. It's probably no ill will,

boy and to get the duck, the buck, eyes and
those motivating factors. Those little things do make a difference.

thoughts on this decisive routing of Oregon in the Rose Bowl?

It was absolutely awesome. I actually blazed. I was out
there at the game. I flew in on a red eye,
you know, I got in nine fifty eight m this morning, man,
and so we went to the game and I had
an opportunity to speak to the team before the game,
which was absolutely awesome, and flew in and watched the game.
It was awesome. Came back home. But the thing watching

it like live and in person and you're watching the
body language. I know, It's not something that they brought
up on TV. It's not something that they talked about.
But when I tell you the energy on our sidelines
from all the guys that have last names that you've
never heard of because they never get in the game,
and how those guys kept the crowd pumped up. When
I say all four quarters, I think Coach Day said,

your only drive to day is to jump up and
down with towels and keep the crowd into it to
make sure that they the Buckeyes know that they got
their fans here all the way in Pasadena. It was
absolutely amazing. It was a one thousand percent total team wins.
And when I watched the domination up front, the difference
between Ohio State and the Michigan game and the Tennessee

game and now in the Oregon game is the dominance
up front on both sides of the football. The offensive
line is keeping Will Howard clean, keeping him up. I
mean he gonna in that game. Will Howard was pretty
much cleaner than Chuck's gonna be in that new suit
that he's gonna wear in the spring. When they do that,
when you know Chuck, because you know Chuck gonna wear
the matching top and bottom linen fit with the shoes,

and he's gonna probably have one the hat of some
one of them old school favors.

and those two factors, and while we've been dominant these
last two games.

double overtime where they finally pulled it off, you know,
winning to move on.

But what are you thinking about the Buckeyes of Texas.
I mean, quite.

Frankly, if this team that showed up yesterday and the
team that played the balls, if they continue that, they're
they're going They're.

Gonna be the national champions. There's no question about it.
Speaker 6 (15:51):
Yeah, they can continue at this pace, blaze and all seriousness,
and there's nobody that can stop us. But we got
to make sure we protect Will. And Will's on target
and throwing arts the way that he was, we cannot
be stopped. And obviously when you try and take that away,
that's when you get the explosive run the game. But
I think the storyline in this game is Quinn Yours.
I mean, Quinn Yours was supposed to be the next
guy for us. He had that one million dollar NIL

deal when Nil just first started rolling, but they couldn't
allegedly implement it because he wasn't playing. It wasn't gonna
get an opportunity to play, and so he transferred to
Texas and then obviously he has been building his career there,
so he wanted to be at Ohio State. He was
supposed to be the next guy, but then we had CJ.
Stroud and there was no way that he was going
to get on the field. I love the fact that

he was able to transfer and go and do his thing.
But right now, you got to talk about motivation, and
it's in life, man. It's all it takes is something
small to get you to play larger than life. Something
some type of doubt, proving people wrong, have that little
chip on your shoulder, whatever it may be. And him
going against a team that he wanted to play for,
he couldn't get on the field. It's probably no ill will,

but I know he would love nothing more than the
boy and to get the duck, the buck, eyes and
those motivating factors. Those little things do make a difference.

Don't sleep on that. Yeah, you can't sleep on that.
You're absolutely right. Did losing to Michigan? Was that the
best thing to happen to Ohio State? You think that
kind of lit this fire or got them going?
Speaker 6 (17:13):
Yeah? I think so. I think so. I think anytime
you lose or you fail in life or whatever it
may be, you can use it. You know, pain turns
into purpose. It gives you a different type of passion.
It makes you stronger. Sometimes it give you a little
bit callous. You know, you got Kalli's hands. You can
build better. You can grip those bricks different. You can
swing that hammer better like your Your grip is different.
You don't need gloves when you've got Kallis hands. And

so I think it hardens you a little bit because
you see who's with you, You see who's not for you, You
see who the fakes are, you see who the phonies are.
But you also see the people who are right next
to you and still gonna keep pushing through. And there
was a lot of people screaming fire coach day, a
lot of people saying get him out of here now.
All of a sudden, those same people have to make
a decision. Do I keep yelling the same thing and

stand on with the young people call business, or do
I turn roun and say, you know what, I apologize
for me getting in my feelings and my emotions and
getting up out of there. So it makes you stronger,
you get better along the way. Just think about it.
Chuck is now married, but he got dumped some time
ago by somebody broke his hard. Look at how he
rebounded now, all of a sudden, he's what it told me.
It's absolutely awesome how pain turns around into purpose.

So the Buckeyes are six point favorites right now if
you place the bet, they got to cover six versus Texas,
And I gotta be honest, I exactly. I was like, what,
cause you know, I fancy a bet or ten. Not
necessarily sports betting, but I do some of that a
little bit.

But when I saw six points, I was like, wow,
that seems But I think they're just going off of
what they've done to the balls and what they just
did to Oregon is all I can come up with.

I thought so right now, unless I don't know what

You have a trained eye, a trained brain for this

What was the line for Oregon?

It was two and a half Buckeyes two and a half.

Yeah, all right. So if you look at if you
look at Tennessee and then you look at organ and
you're talking about the number nine team in the nation
and then the number one team in the nation. And
when you look at how Texas does on third down,
sometimes they go three and out, they random turnovers, and
then they're in a dogfight with Arizona State, who many
believes shouldn't even be in the discussion for to have

a buy. And so when you take those factors and
you're looking at it, man, those numbers tend to be
pretty favorable and accurate. Man, the Buckeye is the way
that they're playing right now. I don't see anything on
Texas side that would make the line some shorter than that.
