Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yet gosh, we got some people on hold here, all
kinds of different things to talk about, but we were
just talking about this Ohio law prohibiting carrying a gun
while drinking at bars could be overturned.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
And John, do you have a comment on this?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Well, my question is, well, Matt, is it like, what's
it being turned as? You know what I mean? Like,
I already know it's illegal for you to walk into
a bar and have a beer with your dinner if
you have a gun on you, right, What are they
trying to do now? Or that would be that way
you can go in and at least have a beer.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yes, So that's what I was trying to tell you
was and it didn't come out that because there were
some people confused, and that's my fault. But it it
is this law that prohibits you from carrying a gun
into a bar wild drinking. They are attempting to overturn it. Now, Well,
there is an attempt, I should say, to overturned this

(01:01):
at the Ohio Supreme Court level. So they agreed to
hear a challenge brought on by a guy who was
accused of shooting somebody in the neck during a bar fight,
and the way that story goes is basically, this guy
had been drink he had five drinks, He entered the
men's restroom, he got into a fist fight with another

(01:21):
patron there. The altercation ended with the first guy who
had five drinks. He drew his pistol. He shot this
guy in the neck. And that's according to the court documents.
And then from there they're attempting to there's an attempt
to overturn this and allow that to happen, which I
am not a fan of either obviously.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Josh, Yeah, I see.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
That as unacceptable exactly. But the one thing I'm looking
at is the fact that with the laws on the
books right now, it's like, and I can't say on
me time, I've gone out with my lady friend good
Hali Garden, and I'll sit there and I'll order a beer,
and then I'll be like, oh, crap, man, I gotta
run out, and I got to put my firearm back

(02:06):
in the car. Otherwise I'm committing to felony.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, and especially if you have a beer or two
while you're eating and you're there an hour and you're
still under the legal limit. If you have it in
your car and you get pulled over, you know, and
you're not technically drunk. DUI, if you will, then you.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Would still it's a gray area.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
You're right, it is a gray area.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
But if you if I feel like, if push comes
to shove, you're still not violating.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
You're not violating there.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
And and the other thing is this happens, I promise
you hundreds of times a day all across the state
of Ohio. There are people with their CC doubs and
they've got sitting down, You're just sitting down to have
dinner and or whatever going out, and they just don't care.

(03:00):
They're just like whatever, nobody's gonna know.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
I have this on me.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Well, it's all funny. The only problem there is you risk.
Like he said, I think I believe that's an F three.
I believe it's a F three.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Even if it was a justified shoots.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Happened, you could get charged, yeah, because.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, you're in violation, that's right. So that's even if
it's a good shoot.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
John was my point, because let's say somebody was beaten
the tar out of you, they had a tire iron.
It looked like your girl was gonna get you know,
assaulted right there on the.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Hoodie and brings a gun in to start your ya.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
And even if you're like I returned fire and you've
been drinking, that's exactly I feel like exactly right again, you.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Know, it'd make no matter what, exactly.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Even if you saved, even if you save multiple lives,
like now here's the thing, here's the thing, you fight
that Like, I don't think the cops would want to
have to press charges, but they I don't think they
would have the choice.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
It would be out of their hands. They would have to.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah, it's like the mall guy, but it was a
long time ago.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I remember that you saved every life.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
But because they had a sign on the door said
no fire arms, they tried prosecuting for it.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Right that right there.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
And if there's no alcohol involved and you brought a
gun into it, because the sign is put man, that's
letter of the law, spirit of the law.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
And for me, I struggle real bad with that.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
But I would rather, as they say, be judged by
six than carried by twelve. Let him be be judged
by twelve and then carry.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
If you do that, I.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Don't care if you're the restaurant guy having a glass
of wine, olive garden and you stop a shooter from
coming in.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
I don't care. You're a hero. You're a hero.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
And the fact that we live in a society where
you would turn you into a bad guy.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
But if you know the law, you got it. I mean,
that's just it. If you are aware.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
And obviously he's aware because he goes he runs it
back out to his car.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yep, yeah, yeah, yep. Cool. Okay, Well John, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Guys, thanks brother, good we keep the conversation going.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Thanks man. I appreciate that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love it.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Again, all of the different thoughts on all of this, Uh,
I guess kind of pivoting here to the third attempt,
possibly on Trump the assassination, But it turns out it
feels like there really isn't a whole lot to this,
but we'll see.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
But it's another John joining us. Hey John, Hey, how.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
You doing, Mark, because just calling in about the third
attempt and I'm like you when I first heard it,
I'm like, oh my god, you know, here we go.
You know. Then you listen and you're kind of like, okay,
but I've got a question. What about the fake license plate,

(05:48):
the fake pass courts he's.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
A sovereign this guy, this guy Ven Miller, is a
sovereign citizen. He believes that, you know, basically the law
it doesn't apply to him. Like they always say, I'm
entitled to free travel if you listen to what a
one of these people are sovereign citizen. So what they
do is they do that to hide that they don't

(06:12):
want to register. They feel like they should not have
to register their vehicle with the government. They feel like
they shouldn't have basically, they should have not have to
turn over any personal information ever to the government because
they're entitled to it, you know. Blah blah blah. So
this guy was just he had multiple ideas and a
fake license plate because he's a sovereign citizen and tries

(06:32):
to conceal, you know, if he.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Gets pulled over, Well, what am I missing here? Should
we get rid of all of that? What am I
missing here? Because Lottie freaking daw I'd like to have
some amnanimity too, but guess what, I don't.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
And I just feel like it's just like, no, we shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Allow that unless I'm missing something, I'm not caring for it.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
No, No, I'm not coming at you.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I'm saying in general, why do we have any of
that in the US. You need to be able to
be verified who you are because that he is a
big old open door for some genanic.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
You can't bitch and moan about an open border and
then go, you know what, I'm not registering my car.
I don't need a valid ID to travel.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
I don't need wrong. Stop it, dude.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
The rest of us do and you don't. But you're
so special.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
That's why I said, weren't you.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
I dabbled in it when I was younger, in my
early twenties, and then once I sat down actually had
a conversation with a group of him, I'm like, oh
my god, I am getting the hell out of here,
and they're come back.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
I just don't.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Understand why they sign off on any of that. What again,
what am I missing? And if I am, by all means,
bring it to my attention. But why does anybody get
to move around in the US like that? But here's
what I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
He's a sovereign citizen, but he's a Trump supporter, says
he's going to vote for Trump.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
Well didn't you register to vote?

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Then?

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Like, what the hell is guy?

Speaker 6 (07:55):
Like?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
This guy is just he lives in Nevada, so I
don't know what their laws are that.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
I don't understan. Yeah, but I mean it's like, come
on now, yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, I mean those are some great points, John. And
it's a head scratcher for me too.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Man. Yeah, there's something missing, but we'll figure it out.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
All right, thanks. Man.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Yeah, all we know is that President Trump was never
even close to ever ever being in danger and and
yeah he wasn't site. Yeah, and the guy volunteered that
he had weapons to the to the checkpoint cops. You
don't volunteer you have weapons if your intention is to
kill the.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
President, you would think, yeah, you're not going, Hey, I
got all these things.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Get out of the car.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
If you spend money to attend the r n C,
which you and I both know is not cheap, No,
it was not cheap.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
No, no, no, And come on.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Now, come on, this guy, this guy never had any
intention of killing Trump.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
I will go with that. But once again, with the
sovereign city.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Is the sovereign citizen thing, that's a whole he may
have I don't know, like apparently he didn't have warrants
out why he keeps trying to hide his license plate
in his identity.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
I don't underd.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, and he's got passports with multiple names and stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
It's just like, what's happening.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Again, I didn't say these sovereign citizen types for the
smartest yeah, or the sameest Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
We've got about literally about thirty or forty five seconds. Hey, Brian,
welcome to the show. You you have a question for Jordan?

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Yeah? Can you hear me? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (09:24):
I wondered if you could discuss with him. I heard
it on the radio earlier today. A theory that if
Trump wins the election and wins all the electors and
the electors go to the House of Representatives on January sixth,
that Jamie Raskin, one of the representatives, has said that
he's going to invoke the section three of the fourteenth

(09:45):
Amendment to declare Trump an insurrectionist and thereby disqualify them
from the election and disqualify all his electors.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Well, I can tell you that's probably that.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
You said, hold on what I want to read this
in the break quote that.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
Again section three of the fourteenth Amendments. This came up.

Speaker 7 (10:06):
This came up with the states because some of the
states like Colorado, tried to take them off the ballot
rclaring them an insurrection to January sixth. Yeah, and the
Supreme Court voted on it, but they said that the
state did not have the power to alter the election.
It can only be done by the federal government. And
in this case, the federal government would be trying to
mandate and use the section three of the fourteenth Amendment

(10:28):
to disqualify Trump.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
But if they could have done that, you would have
thought they would have done it by now. Seem as
how he's leading all the polls and is the betting favorite.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
Maybe, but you know this is this is the point
where they certified the electors on January sixth, And in
any case, this is their opportunity to pull the Trump cards,
and if the Democrats win the House, they would have
enough votes to go ahead and disqualify them from the
election that came from mudget wards today.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah, thanks, Brian, I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
That seems like a movie almost right.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
I mean, we'll ask you what I will ask Jim
that question for you, brother.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
I'm after I go read section three of the fourteenth night.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Thanks, thank you for listening in for your interest. As
far as a question goes
