Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well thanks for coming down and saying something, dudeveny Christmas.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Oh, I don't think she had ever been in this
studio with that many people, and that many people with
big names before.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I mean, we had a lot of players in here.
I know, I mean any Christmas, this is this is
pretty sweet.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I could, you know, I could just start dropping names,
like you know, certain people do around here, right, some
people do.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
And by the way, going back to the memorial, when
we were out there, it was this year. So Mets
comes up, Dave Metzel, who's of course with ballet sports,
and so he comes up and he's talking to us,
and I go, so, what's going on, man, Like, are
you just here? An? He had his daughter with him.
Oh gosh, she's so she's so cute. By the way,
his daughter gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I remember eating at Planks with Larry Larson when Larry
mister high school sports. That was he also Larry worked
at planks when he worked here. And I remember his daughter,
Ellie being like running around little four years old, and
now she's she's like growing up. Yes, she's growing all up. Anyway,
So I go, so what you know, like, what are
you doing here?

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Whatever?

Speaker 3 (01:04):
You just kind of wandering around and watching the golf.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
He goes, yeah, I was over in the pavilion with
Sean Corally and I go the great.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Number sevens when you won, and you bring him over here.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
And he's like, oh, I didn't think about it. I'm like, gone,
it that would have been really really fun. It just
made me think of it because I'm like, wow, we're
getting invaded by blue jackets people, and I have to
admit it's actually pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
So cool. Yeah yeah, yeah, so right now it's the
one the only.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Muchly cal Marshall, how much hardware do.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
You have now? Award winning?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Oh my gosh, it's incredible, man, Seriously, how many are
you up?

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Now? That's all of two?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yes, there it is.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
It's not a collection until it's at least three.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Well that's more than one.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
One's good, one's good, two's better. Three as a collection.

Speaker 6 (02:03):
Well you're on your way. And sometimes it's also nice
for you to be able to, you know, allow other
people to win that same category for best Meteorologists, because
I would like to point out, well, you have two
those are the only two times you have submitted, right yeah, yeah, see,
so I think you're doing.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
It has not been like, oh yeah, trying every year
he's these are the two times that he submitted and
he's won both times.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
That is so cool. Yeah, I mean so cool.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Seriously, that can't get that'll never get old. Even if
you're like, this is my seventh one, it has to be.
It has to be amazing because you're being recognized, man
for what you do.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
And we talk about we brag about you all the time.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Of course, especially like after storms and stuff are like,
well Marshall said it was gonna.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I mean, it's it's we've more.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
Time for that now.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
See that's the beauty. That's the beauty of it is
you've you've got this down to uh. I mean you
can feel you know what, I think you shine the
most and like, you guys, this thing that you do
when inclement weather starts, and unfortunately it's on the doorstep
of that inclement weather. But you guys, when you start

(03:21):
riffing and you guys are there and you you've grabbed
this enormous segment where you're keeping everybody updated and you're
there usually and you guys are going back and forth,
but you can really see your passion and your know
how when it comes to this, it's like breathing, you
know what I mean, it's stuff.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
But I think in this we don't talk about this enough.
It's not just about knowing the stuff. Because Marshall, you
are indeed a scientist, you know how to explain these
things in these terms, because some of them are very complicated.
I think what Marshall really does well is explaining these
things that are right in ways we can all understand

(04:03):
because there's a variety of people at home watching who
need to know this information.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
So yeah, I mean, let's just face it.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
What really put him over the top for the Emmy
is the dad joke segment.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
We focused on that. That was the highlight for them.
That was like he wins hands down.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
But I think Marshall starts to explain, you know when
you guys know that that whole dad joke thing is
Stasia's idea.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Yeah, yeah, she was telling us earlier. She took credit.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
No, you turn it into something.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I'm discussing it.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
But I told him where it kind of started from
where you went home first during COVID and I was like,
here's a funny joke thinking of you, and then you
just started bringing them to the segments, which was so fun.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
I'm like, we need to do that onto. Everybody needs this, right,
we need to do this on TV. That was your
four years now.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yeah, I think it's five four yea four yeah, twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
We've repeated a joke once, but.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
That was because it was such a key joke that
we loved so much. Yes, that's the the one about
the Wizard of Oz.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Is that the one?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Where do you where do you weigh?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Where do you weigh? Way?

Speaker 6 (05:11):
Way a rainbow way pie pie? Sorry, if we knew
the actual joke, it was really funny.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
He could pull it out. He's got a whole system
better on the air than it did here.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Well, it kind of it kind of a.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, I'm saying that.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
I'm saying here it is where do you weigh a pie?

Speaker 6 (05:43):
Somewhere over the rainbow way?

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Pie way up?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Pie?

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Come on, it's funny.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
That's the part We're all supposed to last.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
That's well, we've repeated that one twice because it.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Was the only one we've repeated.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Yeah, station is very joke, very first submission. Why can't
you trust Adams? Why can't you trust Adams? A?

Speaker 5 (06:08):
T O M. S. Adams A T O M. S.
They make up everything science jokes, science. I can't believe
he used to.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
That's why why did why did the electron not have
any friends Marshall because he was so negative.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
He was so negative. Man, if it's a science type joke,
he's gonna know it.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Just if he hasn't heard it. He just understands that.
That one I just had to put together real quick.
It's like the electron negative. Oh negative, there it is, Marshall.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Marshall's like, sit down, words down for making fun of
his Rainbow show. That joke is amazing.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Every time you start describing, by the way, like all
the crazy weather that's going on, and you're putting it
in Layman's terms, I think he he goes, how can
I say this?

Speaker 3 (07:01):
In his mind, he's gone, how can I say this?
So Blazer understands and then.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
He's like, I'm sing it on the air.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Then we can have everybody understand it.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
So I would like to understand when this muggy weather
is going to go where I have had it with
the humanity.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
It is something today man.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Chelsea, who's our ten o'clock producer, got out of her
car this afternoon. She said, Oh, this feels like Florida.
Is this the happiest place on Earth? It's like pretty
close here you go. So so here's the thing. We
are looking at another chance for random showers and thunderstorms,
kind of like we had yesterday at the station. I

(07:44):
talked about this yesterday where at six point thirty there
was nothing on the radar. By six forty five there
was a big storm popping up on the west west side.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
By about six.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Point fifty it was absolutely pouring cats and dogs on
the station, and by seven fifty it was gone again,
just like that today, just hit it and quit it.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
The same thing happened in Dublin on two seventy in
Sawmill area.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
And those kind of random storms are going to be
possible again tonight. Now, this just in from our friends
at the Storm Prediction Center. A few minutes ago. They
are considering right now there is a thunderstorm watch for
the Cincinnati area in Kentucky. They are considering a watch
for western Ohio and central Ohio right up to Columbus,
and they're giving it about a sixty percent chance of

(08:31):
watch issuance.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
So they're keeping an eye on it.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
If we start to get some of these pop ups
that have some gusty winds and hail, they may end
up issuing a watch for us. It's not for now,
but that's possible in the next few hours, so keep
an eye out in case there's a watch issued for that. Otherwise,
seventy two muggy tonight, a chance for some showers and thunderstorms.

(08:54):
Friday and Saturday both a chance for storms and muggy conditions.
Eighty seven on Friday, eighty five on Saturday Sunday, that's
your mowing day.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Eighty nine and partly cloudy.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
All right, marshall, thank you so much. Congrats again eighty nine.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Right now, all right, without further ado, let's get this
thing started, and it is time once again for stump Stay.
We have three headlines today. She's going for three in
a row. Three in a row. This would be the
third win in a row.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Today. You need to pick out the they put fake news. Okay,
we're looking for the fake news, looking for the fake news.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Andy.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Today, since we have Congressman Troy Balderson in studio with us,
he's going to read one of your news headlines.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Okay. So we have obviously two real and one's fake.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Got it?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I will read my headline first.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Olympic Gymnastics proposes new event for twenty twenty eight, synchronized
trampoline doing trampoline.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Have you seen like a ESPN two at like three
in the morning they actually have, Like the trampolining is
becoming a thing now with all the trampoline parks around.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Oh okay, that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
My son goes to all those trampoline and he loves
that stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
It's really cool. But those places stink so that like
when you go in. I've been there for kids birthday parties,
little like free does and like feet feet like anyway
dozen feet, which is almost synonymous in those.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Places to our park.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Uh, Joshi, your headline stay sha man finds creepy evil
Barbie Doll shrine in the woods. Maybe man finds creepy
evil Barbie Doll shrine in the woods?

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Do we know is evil.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Barbie Dolls shrine? That's odd?

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Feel Congressman Troy Balderson will do the honorary reading of
yet another the third and final headline and TV what
have we got man?

Speaker 7 (11:17):
We've got mother claims doctors blamed her daughter's ticks and
seizures on excessive TikTok yse whoa, whoa, you get the
TikTok talks.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
So mother claims doctors blame her tics and and seizures.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
On excessive TikTok.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Oh the irony Wow call the turntables.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
I don't have a TikTok, but I do have an Instagram,
and I buy myself down that rabbit hole. Sometimes they're
really good at that, and it sounds like TikTok is
even better at it, Okay, So that seems plausible. And
then we have back to the first one, the Olympic
gymnastics adding synchronized trample leaning?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Is that what it is? Lean?

Speaker 6 (12:10):
As an event in twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
This year?

Speaker 1 (12:13):
This today, you are to one of two things, going
for three in a row, okay, and you're choosing the
fake news out of the three headlines today's and.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
Then the man finding the creepy evil Barbie doll shrine. Hey, look,
you know all of us who played with barbiees back
in the day. You have an evil Barbie. There's an
evil Barbie that's in the mix. Just so we're all clear.
And I'm in a room full of dudes, so you
probably don't know this, but there's always the there's an

(12:42):
evil weird Barbie. Yeah, that's real, but a shrine about
a Barbie Dolls shrine in the woods, that's just kind
of weird, okay. And then we have the Olympic Gymnastics
synchronized trampolining that seems like it could be a real event.
And then the mother claiming the doctor that a doctor
found her daughters ticks and seizures to be blamed on

(13:03):
excessive tiktoking. That also seems like it could be real
as well. I'm gonna say the TikTok one is the
fake one?

Speaker 5 (13:15):
That's real?

Speaker 6 (13:17):
Wow, okay, which one is the fake one?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Mine was the fake one.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
The Olympic Gymnastics proposing new event for twenty twenty eight
synchronized trampoline what a bummer?

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Really fun?

Speaker 2 (13:28):
I threw you off with my talk of trampoline parks,
didn't I?

Speaker 3 (13:31):
No?

Speaker 6 (13:31):
I mean that just seemed very plausible.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Wow, it'll probably be an Olympic sport eventually.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
My god, break dancing I think is this year, right,
break dancing is in the.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Olympic Dancing Surfing, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Trampoline will be there by, Like twenty nine break dancers.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
Now, it's an interesting it's an interesting time to be live.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
And men men, it's so obvious, I have to say it.
And men can beat up on women too in the Olympics.
I'm just saying it.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
I mean it was said that was so sad. I
felt so bad for that entire chair you stole my.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Nuh oh no, trust me. There's more to discuss. Yeah,
we'll get to it alright. Trafficking what
