Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey all, this is Derek Spentley and you're listening to
the Ellison Brawley Show on Whistle one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
We've got some hometown news with another Ellison Browdie. Prime
times are getting married and raising up a family. Well, actually,
they wouldn't accept prison as a substitute. Sometimes your career
has got to come before family. We've had some really
odd stories lately of the length what we reported on
just yesterday, the woman who locked her boyfriend up in
a storage building.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Right, they're looking for her now.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
And he was in there for four days now. She
left him with his cell phone, which.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Again, that can't happen if you can leave with the
cell phone and he call somebody.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Well, now that leads me into this story that took
place at the Dollar General on East Maine and Spartanburg.
Is it really a crime? Let's examine the details here.
When they closed this store up, the Dollar General on
East Main and Spartanburg Tuesday night, they accidentally locked a
man inside the store.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Okay, oh wow.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
A motion detector alerted the employee who had closed up
the store, so they called police and then the employee
and the police met back at the store or when
they got there, the man was gone, said. They go
to the security cam video. Okay, it shows the man
unlocking the door and walking out around nine forty five. Okay,
But but he returned minutes later, went to the wine aisle.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
A blind spot blocked them from seeing what happened. But
the Dollar Tree employee thinks he may have taken a
couple of bottles of wine before heading back out of
the store and riding away on a bicycle.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
You locked me into a dollar or store, whatever it was.
I'm thinking more than wine. I mean, I'm sorry. They
clean up, well you think they cleaned.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
They're supposed to do an aisle check before. They apparently
did not, or they missed.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
The gun, I says.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I love the fact that he walked down and went,
you know what, come to think of it, get me
some wine.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
They owe me a.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Couple of bottles.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I'm gonna take mine.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
That's Ellison Bradley's Crime Time d Ellison Bradley Show.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
