You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. All our work.
College Football Today Memphis and Wake Forest have just kicked off.

(00:51):
Welcome to College Football Today, brought to you by bet
d s I, Joelsi, Ritzerminello Day, Mournci and Hall of
Famer Marshall Falk. Breaking on all the bowl action for today,
December two, straight through Friday nights games Big One on
UM I think it's Tuesday's Wednesday Wednesday Boise State in Boston,

(01:12):
College first Responders Bowl, the games played in the Cotton
Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Contrasts and styles. More wide open
offense with Brett ripping at the helm and you have
a more of a ground and pound type of blue
collar offense with a J. Dillon and Anthony Brown. I
like the physicality of Boston College here they're catching two
and a half points. I like their defense up front seven,

(01:34):
especially in run support. I think they wear down Boise
in This matchup. Should be a close game, Joe. I
mean I would be hesitant to put any money on
this game. I think I could be a toss up
in either direction. I like Boise State. To me, this
is a team that slightly better defensively. If you could
stop the ground game of Boston College, you have a shot.
And with Jabrill Frasier, Curtis Weaver, Tyler Horton out of

(01:56):
the second day, this is a very good Boise State
defensive quite frankly got banged up door in the regular season,
lost a lot of bodies, but the veteran quarterback in
Brett Ribbon. I like the backfield of Boise stay better.
Ripping and Alexander Madison versus A. J. Dillon and Anthony Brown.
Anthony Brown a little more up and down, a little
more inconsistent. Yeah, give me Ripping in his final game

(02:17):
with Boise State, He's been an all timer for the Broncos. Again,
bit of a toss up game. I would stay away
from it, but I like Boise State in this one.
If you can't pressure Boise you you have the pressure
ripping if you if you don't, I watched the kid play,
um watching him against San Diego State, and you you
have to pressure him. You gotta try to confuse him

(02:37):
and get the ball out of his hands, because, uh,
this kid is sharp. Obviously. You know father played in
the league. He was he was born to be a quarterback.
It's it's just what it's it's in his d n
A UM this game. I like Boise in this game
just because the ability to put up points. And then
on the back end, defensively they're better than people think.
The question is upfront, can they can they stop the

(03:00):
Will they commit to stop the run? Because San Diego State,
anytime we played them, that's what we wanted to do.
We want to get physical downhill and then hit the
edges because defensively they lack a little speed. But but
but they're pretty decent on the back end. It's a
very fair point too, because the offensive line of Boston
College one of the strengths of that team veteran offensive
line all upper classmen, versus a slightly undersized defensive line

(03:23):
of Boise State, which David Moa was one of the
top players on the interior of that defense. He's one
of those guys that they lost for the season. So
Boisey State, you know, they're using a lot of youth
in that back seven of the defense, front four of
the defense. Can they hold up against that offensive line
of PC if A J. Dillon starts to roll downhill
could be a long time. That's why I like Boston College.

(03:44):
Here at Boise State giving up around a hundred and
twenty two rushing yards per game, but they're giving up
to thirty three in the back end. Then, and when
you look at ripping you mentioned the solid season thirty
touchdown passes, but Anthony Brown, we saw glimpses. We saw
that rate team when they can run the football and
his ability to challenge defenses vertically. He can he can
move the football, and I think that's what I'm gonna

(04:06):
see play out here. The way you have to BEBC
two is over the top. They're giving up around two
forty passing yards per game over the top, over the top,
and you look at the the ends for Boston College.
We saw them get some pressure on Trevor Lawrence. If
you can do that against a smaller offensive line. In
Boise State, you can't have third days. You got thunder

(04:28):
and lightning in terms of the book and you got
you got the thunder of Zach Allen and I had
the lightning of why it read so Allen and Ray
that book end of Boston College will be a big
concern for Boise staying. I mean, Brett Rippet could have
a long afternoon if those two guys are on his
back all day, if they pressure him, he'll turn the
ball over. It just that's that's just that's who he is.
And that's most quarterbacks. I like a Dozzio, but they

(04:51):
just they just got an extensions. So now you know costability,
Let's win this one gave you like Boise like Boston
College in this match, like Boise State in this game.
I always find that the love for Boston College is
a little bit. Uh so they're a little bit overrated,
I find, I mean, you know, at least, like I
look at the numbers here. You know there's seven and
five against the spread. There's seven and five straight up

(05:14):
as well. They have played a much tougher schedule. I mean,
they had quite the gaulllet they played, you know, Virginia Tech, Clemston,
Florida State. I know these aren't the same teams anymore,
but you know they lost to these teams. I mean
they got blown out. They lost by twenty one to Syracuse.
They they lost to Florida State, who are a terrible team.
This year they got drilled by Clemson. Uh to me,

(05:35):
I don't know. I just don't know. I get it.
Dylan's a good back, but I don't see what people
see in Boston College. Plus Boise's I think this is
Harson's best team that he had, even though they couldn't
beat Fresno State. Um Boise lived for these bowl games. Man,
this is what Boise's program is all about. Beating power five.
You have power in Boston, calls all. They lost less
this year to Baylor, Baylla ren all over them. This

(05:59):
Bill Bailer wasn't a bull game last year. This is
uh two years two years ago. It might have been
years ago. It had to be two years ago. And
they get tattooed in Arizona. Remember, Yeah, I think it
was Arizona where the Diamondbacks play. I think it was
two years ago. Boys, give me, give me. Boys stayed here.
I'm gonna take boys with a lot of points in
that matchup, all three on Boston College. I'm flapping my

(06:25):
is flute playing in that matchup and just checking uh
not Doug, Maybe a distant Mattie Ice. Then alright, Maddie
Ice in that matchup. This has to be Remember who
he played Maddie Ice in the bow? Yeah, Michigan State. Yeah.
Who was the quarterback back then? I couldn't even tell you,
Connor Cook. I think it was a Hoyer. Yeah. Wow,

(06:46):
remember the game? I watched it. I watched I remember
watching a game at a sports bar in Montreal and
I remember telling someone I said, this guy, Matt Ryan's
gonna win a super Bowl one day. He got to
a super Bowl, but he winning a super Bowl. That
was That was. That was such a huge argument at
the draft um at the time because I'm working with
Mike Mayakin and mayok uh BC guy was all for

(07:09):
Matt Run and I'm looking at him. I'm like, I'm like,
so this guy like you're because I'm I'm worked together.
I don't know many years before quarterback had that those
kind of interceptions. He was not a first round pick.
Matt Ryan first round pick. I'm like, why does due
the interceptions not count? Are you not looking at the

(07:32):
I N T s at the collegiate level? And he
went on and Matt got better. You know, he's great quarterback.
But the final season, but the expectations were really hard
during his senior season and he just didn't do a
lot of do a lot of interceptions, almost like a
Dan Marino's. It was like it was like it was

(07:55):
like he had like twenty he had like twenty five
touchdowns and like interial. Yeah, it was something like that.
Sam Darnald last year forced the ball. It seems like
when guys know they're going to the NFL. I don't know,
they might they might force Sam. Sam was on Sam.
I don't I don't know if last year they had
a wide receiver or running back go into the NFL
that played with d how Josh out again example, like

(08:18):
they said, oh, you know he forced the football. There's interception, Wyoman.
He had to throw the ball. Here are y Ooman?
What's he gonna do? Right? I mean, if you had
good receiver he's he was, he probably could have threw
it and caught it. He's the best player on their team.
So but You're getting a chance to see kid. The
kid is is uh And And you know when when
your quarterback, it's not just your talent, it's your leadership.

(08:40):
He's a leader. They play better when he's playing, and
not just because of his talent, like everybody, everybody plays better. Yeah,
so we'll see, we'll see what happens in the NFL drafty.
The contrast in styles here between Georgia Tech in Minnesota,
I mean blue collar teams. Paul Johnson's last game as
head coach, does he go out a winner. Georgia Tech

(09:02):
a run heavy offense that's averaging three thirty seven rushing
yards per game. They have take Kuan Marshall at the
quarterback position. You have Tanner Morgan at the quarterback position
from Minnesota, another blue collar, run heavy type of offense.
I'm gonna roll them about Ritchie. I'm taking Minnesota and
they were good to me against Wisconsin. Not sold on

(09:24):
Georgia Tech, especially if they fall behind. I know it's
a triple option last game, but I'm taking the Golden
Golfers in this matchup. Like I began this evaluation liking
Georgia Tech, and then I went over to your camp.
I went to Minnesota just because it feels like a
lot of points. I mean, Georgia Tech is such an
up and down mediocre program. They have the ground game
with take Kwon Marshall, Debias Oliver played really well at

(09:45):
quarterback late in the season, but defensively, I see nothing
at Georgia Tech. I think Minnesota will be able to
move the ball. Mohammad Ibraheim. I mean Minnesota always seems
to come up with a running back. Rodney Smith goes
down and Ibraheim comes in as a freshman and his
fantastic Watch this kid against the Georgia I think both
teams will score. I think this is a game that
could go over even though you'll have a lot of

(10:05):
running in this game. Two things, Mohammad Abraheim and Seth Green.
We talk a lot about those quarterbacks that are used
sort of in a hybrid Taysom Hill B J. Daniels
type of mode. Seth Green number seventeen is a player
who began the year as a wide receiver now is
taking direct snaps. Big kid will mix it up with
Tanner Morgan. My only concern by Minnesota, and you know

(10:25):
the Bowl season is a is a problem when two
Minnesota players are now sitting out Blake Cashman, the linebacker
and Danielle Green, their best offensive line in Minnesota. Golden
Gophers are now losing players skipping bowl games. That's my
one concern. But at least half their team isn't suspended
like here. I like Georgia Tech. Not because not only

(10:48):
because you got a head coach coaching in his last
game and and he's done great at the program. But
when you have an option team that's that's scoring more
points per game than a non option team, you have
to score points in order to to to be a
threat to an option team. And yeah, Minnesota has struggled

(11:11):
Georgia Tech going thirty five, and now george Tex is
gonna play keep away with the ball. I think like
the five and a half, it does seem like a
lot over. I'm sticking with Over on this one here.
But I like Georgia Tech. There's there's something about sending
the coach out winning his last game. It's just something

(11:31):
about that Minnesota is the definition. It's fitting that there's
an M to definition and mediocrity. It has just always
been though. And yeah, well Georgia Text had flashes at
least Georgia Attack have sent a few players in the
National Football League. The richest point, I said Maurenzi, the
last time, who else is from the golfers in the NFL?

(11:57):
Minnesota the back There was another back that last time.
The Minnesota Golden Golphers have had a quarterback draft in
nineteen two. That's even before back in the day. I
think back in the day to me, I think of
the golfers, I think of the TV show coach. Yes,
I think the Screaming Eagles have had a quarterback. It

(12:18):
really was Minnesota, right, It was a really good six
Who are the best games I've ever seen? Nine nine
Ohio State Minnesota, Minnesota up thirty one nothing. Ohio State
comes back six per Due in Minnesota, you had to
to at Well and Corey sat A going up against
Rick trust Skur for Perdue. I think you're just making up.

(12:41):
I swear to you, Mike all Stott looking up those
Perdue unis back in the day. The only concern I
would have for Minnesota is the fact of they haven't
faced the triple option in the Big Ten. So that's
a concern of mine, even though I'm taking Minnesota here.
But I feel like Fleck is the better coach, he's younger,
he needs this recruit. I don't know. Again, we're playing

(13:02):
cracks psychologists. I really don't know. I'm taking a guest here.
I don't know if there's a love affair with Paul
Johnson at Georgia Tech. A curmudgeon, you guys know, exactly
a teddy bear. Yeah, I don't know. His face looks
like it should be at the No. I'm just saying
that he's always crinkled. He's like, I don't know, it's
he's never happy. It's like he's going, I'm just what

(13:25):
their last five. I mean, obviously Georgia did what they did,
but they won the last four. Understanding that this is
their coaches last year. I cannot imagine that that they
that they do lay an egg and they've been good
at ball games. They knocked off Utah. Remember when they
had half their second they had half their teams suspended.

(13:47):
I hope Minnesota wins, but they had half their teams suspended.
They still beat Washington State. Anyways, imagined they not an
option team on their schedule. Noleven's seen it. It's gonna
be hard. Plus they don't have a quarterback. That's mobile
on the roster. You're talking yourself. I might do an audible.

(14:09):
Minnesota will do enough to lose. Let me just say
they don't have a mobile quarterback because p J Fleck
has been there only a year, hasn't really gotten his
type of and he still likes a pro style guy
like Zach Terrell that can. He's got pocket presents, but
he's not the type of quarterback to run the triple options.

(14:30):
So if you don't have that mobility stout team, how
are you going to prepare? You think p J elevates
that program in time? Give him about three or four years.
Do you think I'm not talking about I'm not talking
about Wisconsin level, but I think there you see, But
here's the problem. They hammered Wisconsin to finish the season.
By they were getting there with Tracy Clay's I did

(14:50):
think they knocked off Washington State in the Holiday Bowl.
They were getting there. They let him go. He had
a nine and four overall record. That was all field too,
there was some off field issues. So what are we
expecting to get back to? Yeah, nine of four is
reason for Minnesota. That would be a major every year,
and knocking off he's nine. If he's winning eight or

(15:11):
nine games, he's getting promoted to a bigger program. We'll see.
Here's one bowl game that I absolutely love, California and TCU.
Cow has done a fantastic job getting back to a
ball game six and uh seven and six overall this
year with Wilcox at the Helm lost their regular season
game ending against Stanford. Couldn't pick that up. TCU at

(15:32):
six and six overall, they barely got into a ball game,
knocked off Oklahoma State to become Bowl eligible. To solid defenses.
But I really like Patrick clair To, I like Garbers
at the quarterback position, and I think Justin Wilcox is
a coach that's gonna elevate this program. To me better
defense by Cow giving up around a hundred and thirty

(15:53):
rushing guards for a game and the speed to contain
ECUs wide receient. To me, it's it's so hard to
pick the very similar teams. I mean, you have teams
that are led by their defenses. Yeah. I won't spend
much time talking about Wilcox because I completely agree with you.
I think he's one of the rising stars and coaching
did a remarkable job. There is not a name player
on that defense, and they were phenomenal. They were airtight

(16:15):
against the likes of Washington and USC, four superior teams.
He's done a tremendous job with kids like Evan Weaver
Jordan Kazanic at linebacker for Cal, but their lack of
offense worries me, especially against Gary Patterson. They're very similar teams.
I mean, the same kind of coaches. You you like
the Collins Collins need Collins is still banged up. I

(16:35):
don't know you see that just a few more weapons
Jalen reagor Darius Anderson, the running back at TCU. I
give a slight edge to TCU, but this game petrifies
me because neither team could move the ball. That's why
I think it's low scoring. Comes down to the kicker,
and I think Lair would be the difference. He's not
Marshall Falk, but he can catch the football out of
the backfield, and that's where I could see some mismatch

(16:56):
problems for those TCU linebackers. And I look at Cal,
it's just uh. For whatever reason, when they were getting
ready to play Stanford, we were talking about it. I said,
this is this is like Bottle of the Bay and Stanford.
They just they have that little something sometimes but whatever Cow,

(17:17):
they don't rise to the occasion. Like they get close,
but they don't rise. Todocage and I just think is
gonna have He's there's something up his sleeve. But let's
just will be one of them kids from Texas. Let's
see what happened they You know that you can listen

the Bowl Laster We talked about Cal TCU. We're talking
about Alabama offensive coordinator Brian Davil that's now back in
the NFL. We all, I like Cal, you like t
like TCU. I wouldn't bet my hard earned money on it,
but I like Marcia likes I like TCU, Gabe take
Tu any particular reason why I think they'll be hungry

(19:00):
at the kids from Texas. As Marshall stated, I don't
really think. I don't trust to kick its from Kyle
stepping up into this spot. It's been a bad year
for Patterson. I think it actually matters to him not
to be six and seven and have to lose a record.
All Right, we'll see how that game plays out. That
game is Thursday. I believe that is Wednesday. Wednesday. We
got a huge sl Wednesday. There's a huge slate on Wednesday.

(19:24):
A cheese It bowls. At least they're being real about it.
That's funny. We'll see that cheese. It's how many bowls again?
How many's? That's that's like gettinghyry es both making me
hungry for like a big handful of cheese. It's to

(19:49):
see that, by the way, So I just would I
think i'd be like an eating Yes, Ritchie, Ritchie got
on on TCU, But David Cutcliffe and Duke take on Temple. No,
Jeff Collins, he will not be there as Anthony Russo
and the crew take on Duke looking for a big

(20:10):
bowlwin here, I mean again, contrasts and styles. Two good quarterbacks,
Russo completing around fifty six percent of his passes. Rich
and I are very high on this kid, especially at
the next level. I think this is a guy that
you're gonna see. I want to see almost like a
Ben Roethlisberger tight now great that not less be a
Bortles a little bit. Yeah, I think he's a little

(20:31):
I think he's better than the college version of Blake Bortles. Yes,
the one that the one fails, the seven team brewing
under dog Blake Bortles. Yes that you remember that game
against what was the storm with the storm Dan Daniels. Yea,
the Storm Daniels. Actually, yeah, there was star Stormy Daniels.

(20:54):
I'm sorry, story Storm Johnson, Johnson, Storm. You guys are
killing me, okay, Storm Johnson, the Miami trans progression, his
pocket presence, He's not gonna wow you and put pressure
on the premier. Yeah, he's he's can move the football.
Daniel Jones now has struggled with inconsistency. Now that one

(21:15):
thing about David kuck Cliff, He's had his team's prepared.
We'll see how it plays out. I could see this
game being high scoring game. What do you think about
this matchup? The totals fifty four and a half in
this game. You know, listen Temple and Duke and play
some great basketball games over the year. Uh, you know,
I don't know how great this football game is gonna be.
I'm gonna side with Duke and the fact that they're

(21:37):
able to bounce back after that humiliating loss to end
this season. Um. I like cut Flett a lot here,
and even though the interim coaches have been successful so far,
I think it catches up. Temple is one of these
programs similar to Minnesota. To me, every time I bet
on Temple. I've watched a lot of Temple games over
the years. They're okay, they're good, They're not great, They're okay.

(21:58):
They're always offensively challenged. Yeah, they've got a smash made defense.
But with with tied to prepare for this game, I'm
gonna go. I gott I'm gonna take to do Blue
Devils here is it? It? Is it the lock of
the year. No, I can't say it's my Jamie Heath.
Uh you know, um five star lock lock in a week.
But I'm gonna lean with the Duke Blue Devils in
this spot. Yeah, they're leaning three and a half, which

(22:20):
is I guess it's confusing in the sense because we've
seen we saw two inter dukes getting three and a half. Now, yes, yeah,
Duke right, So Temple the favorite with no heads. You
know what it reminds me. It reminds me of the
game that's going on now Memphis against wake Forest. You
know I would side with the A C C team
against the A A C team. I Temples done a

(22:40):
great job eight and two over the last ten games,
only losses at BC and u C A record that
game seven seven right now with five and a half
and is left in the first scoring that's what we expected.
We expected to see scoring, just temp Temple, Temple. They
can put up points. They can score points, and and
the quite Sinnez can't, can't can Duke stop them because

(23:03):
we know Duke can score as well. We know they
can move the ball up and down the field. We
we know that, but I don't know I'm gonna side
with Temple on this week. Yeah, here's the thing. When
you say a CEC team, you know do to me
statistically they're only giving up a round a hundred fifty
five rushing guards for a game. But Temple, to me,
just plays more like a physical a CC team, like

(23:24):
a Wake Forest. So I I like Armstead in that
aspect of running back for Temple. I think you going
to be another player he I think he can play
on the next time. Would he be uh first or
a second round picked? No, But this is a guy
that's gonna be picked in the fifth, sixth, or possibly
seventh round that will make a team and spell a
starter in the tone of perseverance. Had some injuries her

(23:47):
his career, does play her versatile, could catch the ball
out of the backfield. But you know, to your initial point.
One of the great things about the ball games for me,
and we'll talk about it a little bit when we
get to West Virginia Syracuse. I want to look at
these young players for next season. So a chance to
watch Anthony Russo was new time. At the beginning of
the year. Russo takes over. I like the body of
this kid. I like his his ability to stand hole

(24:09):
in the pocket. He's young and developing. But the combination
of Russo and Armstead will be interesting at the end
of the day. For Daniel Jones, this is an NFL audition.
We don't know what he's gonna do yet in terms
of his decision, but I think he's the best player
on the field. And I think Duke's defense, especially at linebacker, underrated.
I like the Blue Devils. Thursday, December twenty seven. This
is becoming one of my favorite bowls, the Pinstripe Bowl.

(24:30):
I mean, we have Miami, we have Wisconsin. It's a
rematch of last year that Wisconsin did win that ballgame
high ten points today where thirteen one. Yeah, in Miami's
home field. They didn't step up. They were six and
a half point underdog. Wisconsin won that matchup. Horner Brook
did toss four touchdown passes in that game. Will not

(24:51):
play in this ballgame. Jack Cone will be the starter.
Struggled in his first start against Penn State and really
hasn't looked good the US to the way. How does
that affect his performance going up against the Michigan Miami
defense without their defensive coordinator Mannidas, and more importantly, a
defense only given up Andre Flordy passing laungs for game

(25:12):
and also without Gerald Willis. Gerald Wilson was one of
the better stories individual players had. Another player who struggled
with injuries while he was at Florida transfers to Miami
and now he's being looked at as a serious NFL
draft choice. Played very well on the interior that defense.
But you have the defense of Miami far superior to Wisconsin.
You have the ground game of Wisconsin. I'm gonna side

(25:32):
with I hate to do it because this sounds so elementary,
but I'm gonna side with weather. You know, you have
Miami coming into the Bronx. Wisconsin used to that kind
of terrain, that kind of weather, that that type of climate,
the ability to run the ball. Miami has been awful offensively.
Nkosey Perry now has some some some sex stapes of
all field problems that are going on, this type of

(25:53):
a ground and pound, bad weather game. I'm taking Miami.
It's one of my better picks. Mark. You know why.
You know, I'll tell you why Miami lost that game
on their home field in the warm environment the rematch.
So that's why I like that. I'm not sold on
Jack Con. I watched Jack Cone. He cost us money
against Penn State. He had the ball inside the thirty.

(26:14):
All he had to do with score touchdown eight straight incompletions.
It felt like the guy's horrible and Miami to me,
coming to New York, I know what's called. If they
can't stop the run, they're gonna lose. But coming to
New York, this is a game. I could just see
the Hurricanes winning. UM three points that we're three, I

(26:35):
am I'm the favorite in this ball, right you? Three?
Three over young quarterback hasn't played well New deep as
ave coordinator who knows what the tendencies are. I'm going
in Miami like it just that that that points that
points Miami to me. I'm I'm I'm going there. I
can't trust the Miami Hurricane team that's a one in

(26:57):
seven in their last eight bowl games. Um crect had
a really really bad week this week to horrible recruiting week. Basically,
like you know, the smaller Florida schools did as good
as he did. It's amazing too, from the turnover chain
to early last year and the big buzz around the
program to to where they are right now, where people
actually look at the Rick and say, what the hell
is going on here with his football team. I don't

(27:19):
trust them. I'll take a Wisconsin team has been in
a bowl game for seventeen consecutive years. I know this
is a down Wisconsin team. I like what Rich stated
to about the weather. I think the Miami kids could
have a hard time getting interested in this football game. Yeah,
we'll see. I'm kind, I agree. I agree with this
is one of the matchups. I want to see why
you make it the best bet only because you like Miami.

(27:40):
That's fine, but I can't you know why. Here's here's why.
Because ricked again the pressures on and I didn't think
he was a great higher for them, but he over
exceeded expectations in year one. Now you have to show up.
You have no defensive coordinator, you're not expected to win.
He needs this game, and how does he get these kids?

(28:01):
Here's listen Joe Jackson on defense, shock quarter and Jaquan Johnson,
Trede John Bandy. A lot of these kids are considering
going pro, so I don't know how far their only
motivation could be is they lost to the same team
last year. I mean, if the kids have any pride
on Miami, yeah, I think in Wisconsin they have. This
has to be a running the running you gotta line

(28:23):
up and play big boy football against Miami and see
if they want to tackle in the coal That's what
That's what That's basically what they're going there. Hey, we're
gonna play all kind of football. We're gonna come out,
two backs, two tights. Let see what they can do.
Like they have to play that kind of football. John
Taylor's on the other side, I mean, that's that would
be true. And and John John's from the area, is
gonna got big contingious. That offensive line is huge and

(28:47):
the offensive yeah yeah, so I just I don't know.
I mean, and that's what it is that clogged those
gaps early on. You know, he's gotta be aggressive. I
think I think Mark Ricks has to pull up. I
don't think he has the quarterback. I think Malik Roser's
is better quarterback quite well. I hope he does start him.
Because of the sex tape allegations. That's why I'm leaning
towards what are you suggesting that Perry underachieved that the

(29:09):
sex tape that I don't even know if the sex
tape was with him. It was too see, I like, what,
what's the problems with the sex tape legal? Like, I'm
just I was just sex tape like like it on
his Twitter feed the day after one of the games,
he missed the Twitter etiquette class that they that's come

(29:30):
on that that had to be what are you gonna
say he's representing. There's no way, you know, so he
supposedly in school. Now whether he plays in this ball game,
That's why I think Roser is the better, really experience.
I really liked Wisconsin when I thought Hornerbrick was gonna play.
When I when I realized he wasn't coming out of

(29:52):
concussion protocol, and I would go Wisconsin. I agree, this
would be a easy game to me when Er could
be focused. I mean, just because he lost that matchup
lest I actually think I think he's a He's an
okay play's okay college quarterbacks, not a great college. I'm
not great, No, I agree. I think if you have
an I think if you have an adequate running game
with Travis Homer and d J. Davis, I think you

(30:13):
know you you could survive with that. I mean, it
wouldn't shock me if Wisconsin runs all over them and
wins this ball game by seventeen points or more in
Miami lasan egg. I mean, it would not shock me
in the least audible. No, I'm staying with Miami. Miami wins.
It's one of my better picks. We'll put it. Pick
it up at the end of the show. Vanderbilt Baylor.
No Jalen heard for Baylor. No punter Galitz is out

(30:37):
for this matchup, so keep an eye out for that.
Both teams are six and six overall. I mean, if
you don't have a punter in college, you're stuck, right Um.
I like Baylor here. I mean Baylor to me, if
you're gonna give Matt rule four weeks of preparation, I
think he's a better head coach than Derek Mason. He
might have the better quarterback, possibly in Shermer. But I

(30:58):
love the way Charlie Brewer play's I've watched them all
season long. He's progressed and I spoke about it earlier.
He has the h thing, the hit factor, and he
wants to lead his team to victory. Plus they have
playmakers Mims, they have Dner. They have John Lovett at
the running back position, and this defense has gotten better
over the stretch. Baylor wins out right, maybe they got better, Joe,

(31:20):
But to me, what what stands? I like Vandy in
this game. It's a close game. I think Matt has
taken Baylor about as far as they can go this year.
Both teams are six and six. I think it matters.
I think you'll see a lot of spirit and passion
in this game. Both want to finish the year over five.
This is what I boiled it down to. Baylor defense
under intent. Nationally, it's stopping the run. Vandy with that
sec balance of Schermer Kalijah Lipscomb, they have a good

(31:43):
tight end his Sewn Vaughan in the backfield. I think
I think it's a blowout, but I think Vandy by
seven to ten points. I could see points here, I
could see points. I don't know really this. I think
Vanderbilt's physicality be a little bit too much. Baylor did
a nice job getting to a bowl game, but they're
basically inconsistent and they're a little bit under size. Vanderbilt's

(32:05):
physicality is gonna be too much. You look at Vanderbilt
They've won three or last four games. Twenty five point
beat down over Tennessee, uh seven point win against the decent,
very athletic Mississippi team, only a five point loss against
Missouri and a win against Arkansas. To me, there's a
lot to like about Vanderbilt coming in here. I just

(32:25):
don't love laying the points. But without being stated, I mean, look, Vandy,
the Commodores are eight and four against the spread. Baylor's five,
six and one. I don't really know what we're talking
about here. I mean, Vanderbilt is a much better football team.
I think Baylor haves some bull wins down the road
rich but not this year. I think Vanderbilt Vanderbilt beach that.
I think that's a good summery. I think I think

(32:46):
Matt has taken Baylor about as far as they're gonna
go this year, going up against a decent It's not
a great SEC team, but a decent SEC team with
a veteran quarterback, quality defenders. I like their balance on offensive.
I just think the Indie pulls away in this game.
I'm looking at the schedule of Vanderbilt played. A look
at the schedule they played Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas before

(33:08):
dot Kentucky hosted Florida at Georgia the freaking gauntlet. Man,
all right, it's not easy today. They their battle tests,
their battle tested. But I think I think Baylor played
well against Iowa State, and I think if they can
run the football, they're in this ball game. And again,
if you have a young quarterback like Brewer Marshal, anything
could happen. I mean, you give a team for weeks

(33:29):
of preparation, they have to score points. I mean, obviously
you have to score points, but they I mean at
an alarming rate because they can't get into a close
game with with Vandy. Vandy then then the power and
how Vandy plays, it's going to overwhelm them. They are struggled.
Marshall and bowl games too. If you look back, even

(33:50):
when Baylor were really good, guys, what was the game
against Michigan State. They blew the massive lead. There's a
track record of Baylor in basketball and football. They don't
win big games. Talk about col just sort of not
never getting over to hup. Baylor is one of these
flashy teams, but come st double a tourniament, come ball time,
they'll lose. Yeah, we'll see the underachieve. To me, there
Prental underachievers, but this is a different team. You can't

(34:12):
say this Baylor teams underachieving. You know they're they're rebuilding,
so it's a different scenario. But I just think they're
a year or two away from like winning bowl games.
Last last time Vandy won a bowl game was with
James Franklin. So we'll say, you know, if they can
do it back to back to nine or four years.
The gust Bus is under pressure here as he faces
Jeff Bram in the ball game. Their four point favorites

(34:35):
in a must win scenario. If they dropped this ballgame,
Auburn will be seven and six overall. I don't think
they can afford to lose this game. This is an
Auburn defense given up a hundred and forty four rushing
guards per game. They have the better front seven, they
have the better offensive line. They should wear down per
do at the point of attack. Yeah, I think it

(34:55):
comes down to Gus malls On. Last year they went
in kind of fast and loose against UCF and they
got embarrassed by losing to the Nights. I know that
it happens this year. Glad that Brahma is back. Watch
Ron Dale Moore, David Blow, DJ Knox, Perdue is capable
of pulling this off. I think Gus has the motivated
this year. Marshall, you think you think they win, I'm
gonna go purdu here. I just um. These are the

(35:18):
kind of games you know that that that they get
up for and and this is this will be one
of those statement games to show, hey, here's what we
did to an SEC team. Well we come back. We'll
be talking about Purdue and Auburn with Gavin Marshall. Keep

now in Atlantic City. So that could be really yeah,
So that could be another reason why that could be
another apologies. I love the idea of betting on things,
even outside of sports. I love that. I don't know

(37:41):
how you would like what do you do like? Well,
the Bachelor starts I think January six, So you watch
all of the all of the all of the women
that come out, women that come out, and you get
to choose which of the women you think we'll want
a party. Last week here with the Bachelor at there's
a bunch of hot, up, tight chicks running around here.
Last Sunday they we're blocking our NFL. Corey was freaking out,

(38:04):
but our apologies there. I was just a dude in
the hallway. I was talking to him. He's a fat
of the network, and he stopped. He goes, is that
Marshall Falk Oh my god, and he's all freaked out.
He goes, I want to say something, but I got nervous.
I choked and I said no, no, man. I said,
it's cool. He's cool, dude, I said, I said. He
just coming quickly shake his head. But I didn't realize
commercial break was my path. Did you tell him just
don't look Martial in the eye, not allow anyone to

(38:27):
look him in the eye. So, how do you analyze
the Bachelor? What do you want? That's a good question.
Jesse Palmer was the how do you Yeah? How do
you so? Was Jordan Rogers what do you what do
you say? I mean when you're I don't I don't
know who that would be pretty Um, I don't know
how I would break that down because did you go
off the past experience? Like you know, like in the

(38:48):
same way we're trying to break down he's doing Auburn
games alright, a lot of guests at work analytics. I'm
sure there's analytics though, like I can guarante and algorithm
they are. You know, I'm proud to see more blue
and every time he wears blue, he's got a seventy
five success rate that the girl. There might be metrics

(39:11):
out there you'll never watch. You'll figure out when of
the producers or decision makers are winning the money too. Yeah,
I've never watched a second of those shows that I'm
proud to say, so. I like Auburn, Auburn, Auburn, Marshall Auburn.
I'm gonna go Auburn. Yeah, Lone Wolf, we know you're
on Perdue and Jeff brom I'm gonna be anes with you.

(39:34):
This is the time of the day where I'll probably
step out and do something on Friday afternoon because out
of all the bowl games, this is because there's a
few of them that are just sort of this is
the wind, this is what's the excited. But first of all,
is per gonna finish seven and six this year? How about? No,

(39:54):
I'm not I'm not just trying to make this up.
Perdue beating an SEC paler. I think it's a storyline
an SEC. This is this is like, this is a deal,
is an underdog. But like I said, I'm not come
on to me. This is one of the this is
a nothing burger games. See we get that way with
like Marshal us f you want to watch it, But

(40:17):
this is a game. It's an SEC versus Big tim
this is the game that beat Ohio State by twin
exactly for Purdue. Let's say you your six and six,
you win this game, your seven and six, your season,
but you say, okay, we beat Ohio State and we
beat an SEC team, and you carry that into the
and be a successful your for Purdue. Yeah, right, Like

(40:37):
it's it's a huge it's a while hanging on by
a threat, right, Okay, so it keeps Gus's job and
and it makes produced season look better than what it was.
And next game I'm excited about. Like you're excited. You're
excited about that game because you love Syracusan. You think
there's no way West Virginia could move the football on
Syracuse's defense. Let's see the Purdue Auburn one and the

(41:03):
Minnesota Georgia tack. The Minnesota Georgia Tech is a dog
that can't. But if you had to pick, you know,
I would take Minnesota. But I don't like that game Purdue.
I'm interested in Jeff Brawn because he stayed at Purdue,
resistant the temptation to go to his alma mater. Now
he's playing in what for Purdue is a big bowl
game against Auburn. I think there's still a name brand,

(41:26):
top tier SEC program, So I I don't know. I
think it's a good storyline. Yeah, it's it's interesting. I mean,
I like Syracuse in this ballgame here against West Virginia.
But it's scaring me that everybody. I don't think you
should be frightened. I like everybody, no no will, no will,
And if he's standing on the sideline and the quarterback doesn't.

(41:48):
That's out there for for for West Virginia is playing bad.
It just it it more orlows the team. I'm telling
I liken it to a suspended player that can't play
into the second half being on the field. That team
never plays well. There's just something mindset. Yeah, he's a
healthy scratch. Yeah it's it's gonna be. I'm curious to

(42:12):
see if if Dana Holgersson could draw up a plan
for Jack Allison to attack Syracuse defense. I mean, I
can't see them putting up thirty. Can you see West
Virginia putting up possible? Because listen, we haven't seen Jack
Allison since he was in high school. Jack Allison was
a high profile recruit of Miami transfers to West Virginia.
So is he ready? How the hell do I know?

(42:34):
I mean, I'm basing it off of high school tapes.
I don't have no idea. One of the top receivers
is out. Gary Jennings is not gonna play in this game.
So listen, Allison could come out and potentially lighted up.
Syracuse is a pressure defense, not a great defense. You
could beat them there's just there's just something different about
when a guy is like player goes down, next man
up town. That's a good point. It's different like the

(42:55):
team when when you get a quarterback, the team rallied,
and when guys just just sitting there. Yeah. Plus not
only that they know that he's not playing because of me,
because of ex Yeah right, you're you're you're taking the
me factor out of the team. You're with us for
twelve games and now all of a sudden, you're worried

(43:16):
about one thing. One thing we can substantially breakdown is
West Virgin's defense. We can talk about their quarterback not
being there. We can also talk about them giving up
over a hundred points in the last two games, albeit
against both Oklahoma schools Oak State and the Sooners, that
Syracuse's offenses for real, all right, you know Syracuse put
up forty two points a game. They're gonna score forty

(43:37):
two points in this game. They're gonna get They'll get
into their ballpark figure of what they're gonna get. I
don't know if West Virginia, with the new quarterbacks, that
will be able to keep up with that. And I'm
buying into the motivating factor but Joe, what may I'll
say to and I'm not trying to be a great
jow screw dot ball game. But I don't know. I
don't know if you guys agree, but I just find
somebody's bowl. The matchups are getting stale. I'm I don't like.

(43:58):
I get why they do it because you eat a partner,
but I'm getting talk out of the old SEC two
Big ten too, right, I mean, guys, I'm a Michigan fan.
This is the third time we're playing Florida Gators in
about fourteen months. It's too much. We played him a
ballgame two years are we're playing a stupid kickoff playing
again till the play South Carolina's the same crap. You

(44:19):
could change that, just win the Big Ten. Yeah, thanks,
thanks Marshall. I thought that too. Ohio State doesn't have
this problem. House States to play. Feel free to drop that, Mike,
if you would drop the mic. Well, let's talk about

(44:41):
the last ball game for the week. It's Washington to
State and Mike Leach. They lost the Apple Cup to Washington.
Now take on Matt Campbell and Iowa State. Brock Purdy
at the helm. We have gardener Minshew. This is a
team that got screwed. They should have been in a
bigger ball game. In my opinion, Wazoo, they should have been.
But until you beat Washington and you know you're lay
an egg in a Holiday Bowl against Michigan City doesn't help.

(45:02):
I'd rather see I'd rather see Washington State in the
New York's six New Year's six Bowl game in Florida
to your rank thirteen, you're tinning too, and you're playing
in the Vallero album. How about this Florida exactly? Because great,
So it's gonna say the screen that's only good for recruiting.
That's it. Michigan. Michigan have never played l s U

(45:23):
before and in their histories, the school has never played
each other before. And meanwhile, the Forda Gators dodge you
cef all the time. They don't want to play them, No,
they they're perfect. Forced them to play them. You see,
versus Florida, you have that nice Florida derby. The problem
Michgans they could, they could. The problem what you see

(45:44):
F Florida is a two verses one and that's the
scenario where Florida wants to home games. You see, f
wants it even being I don't think that's the case.
You just just you cannot lose, damn. And here here's
I don't mean to cut you off, but I wonder
like did they get the call, like, hey, um, we

(46:06):
want to put you guys, because that would be that
would be a great bowl game. Just think about it.
If you see, right, that would be a great bowl game.
But hey, Florida, so look we we would you guys,
we have you see No, no, no, we don't want that. Yeah,
that that can be too you know. That was the
boy I said it two weeks ago. That was the
bowl game. I'd rather see. I'd rather see you see

(46:27):
Florida versus you see Florida. Florida cannot handle that now,
L s U multiple We'll get into that game later
in the in the in the week next week, but
L s U with multiple injuries. A couple of points. Uh,
some coaches are really good Bowl coaches. Summer terrible. Mike
Leach has been a terrible, horrible. He's been horrible in
the postseason. Matt Campbell, we lost in that Minnesota team

(46:48):
that the last eight games one and seven against the spread.
Mike Leach in bowl games one and seven, that's a
trend to me, that is not just a one against Memphis,
and you're as an underdog. We all have the Mac
Campbell love affair every Saturday morning slash afternoon. Let's have
it against say. I think that defensive Iowa stay finds
a way to stop Gardner Minshew. I like the cycle.

(47:10):
Let's rip through the best bets for the week. We
already talked about wake Forest, so I'm on Wake Forest.
I like looking good seven Memphis sucks. I'm a Wake two.
It's okay, it's etaarly. You gotta believe Memphis led one
seven against you c F and lost that ball game
by sixteen. Believe Miami they're they're laying three three and
a half against Wisconsin. I like them in the pinstripe

(47:32):
boll Baylor catching points. No Jalen heard, no problem. I
think they went out right. Give me a J. Dillon
and a J. Brown. They get the upset over Boise.
I like cal is a minor dog against TCU, and
I'm rolling the dice with the gust bus over Jeff
Bramin for doing that matchup. Yeah, I got four best bets. Unfortunately,

(47:52):
I'm on the wake Forest train as well, So I
guess we're all we're all going on. That's true. They
have the offense, that's we're catching points. That's true enough.
Three half. I got him on the money line. Actually,
wake Forest Army later today, I think they roll. I
know the line's been going up. We had it at
three and a half, it's now at six. I would
still take it at six. Uh, Syracuse. I loved him

(48:13):
plus seven when Will Greer was playing. To me, that
was a shootout that would would have come down to
the last possession. The only thing that's changed other than
the line is the fact that Greer is not playing
and Gary Jennings are are not playing as well. So
I love Syracuse. The other thing I wanted to bring
up to this is a culmination. This is the exclamation
point for Dino Babers. I think he, you know, he
had a great season, possibly good Coach of the year season.

(48:34):
The dude, you know I didn't leave, Gonna stick around,
you know, for at least one more year. I think
he adds the exclamation point at the expense of Dana Holgerson,
another coach who's been horrific in the postseason. One of
five against the spread. Dana Holgerson and Louisiana tech. I.
I just think, um, uh you're doing now, I'm gonna
do it to you. I won't even be up by
the time this game ends. To bust your job, I'll

(48:58):
be ribbing you about six am one. We know you're
gonna be texting Bulldogs. Bulldogs are gonna be in the
Jalen Ferguson. I'm gonna say it right now. Three sacks tonight.
Hope he forces three fumbles too, because I think the
the over is a play in that matchup. Hey, best
bets what you got. Unfortunately, we're going down in flames

(49:18):
right now in wake Forest, but we do have the
over in this game, and the end game total right
now is eighty two and a half. Um, so we
got a puncher's chance here. Um moving forward, I got
a light of six with Army. I am it's almost
too trendy right now, but we're not going to abandon
ship on this one. I think Army you're gonna end
the season. Would have win. I never win when I

(49:39):
bet on uh when I bet on unders, but I'm
going on the under here. It says over on the board,
but I actually want under uh sixty in this game.
I just look at I look at Armies um ball
possession thirty eight minutes a game. I think they're gonna
be able to chew up that clock. I'm gonna take
the Buffalo Bulls always. Man, it's always dangerous when you're
betting on a team from a mac and a ball game,

(50:00):
And it's always dangerous betting on anything from Buffalo. I
don't care what sport it is, but Sabers, Bills Bulls,
but taking a Buffalo Bulls and tonight let's get a
track meet going out there in Hawaii. Louisian attack in Hawaii.
Over the number. But just for people who are watching
the graphic right now, Houston Army under UH sixty, which
made it probably goes over because every time I correct

(50:22):
picks I should have left them. But the Buffalo curse
real quick? How much of an impact is with a
Buffalo bull win isn't you know? It's it's college and
it's how much will that kind of none in the
city zero zero. I've been to Buffalo and I try
to support them. It's not traction. I want to buy
like a Buffalo bull track suit. Marshall in the whole

(50:44):
nine yards nothing game. How long have you been a Buffalo,
a Buffalo fan? How long have since? Like nineteen seventy
eight that Joe ferguson days before that? No, they always
sucked you just you just go rid for the heart
out of here that he got. When I grew up, Marsha,
we'll talking about tomorrow, but I grew up was all

(51:05):
Pittsburgh and Dallas in the Super Bowl every year. Right, Yeah,
I'm not a front runner, man, I'm blue collar. I
just had to ask him. Joe Crips, remember Joe Cribs Crimps,
my guy. Yeah, I felt the same way. The Saints
were awful. L s U couldn't win. I felt the
same way we lost the Jazz they couldn't win. I
felt the same way as a kid growing up Pistol Pete. Yeah,

(51:28):
I'm just like that. That was my every Every l
s U was bad. Uh, the Saints were bad, the
Jazz were bad. I mean when Marsha was in high school,
l s U had Jeff Wickersham and Chad Lupe quarterback.
I think you're still good with Nicks Haben essentially, or
at least like they were good when they had Orange

(51:48):
Parker and they had Gary James back in the day,
you know, and they had Tommy Hodson and but not
great you know what I mean. I'm talking about good
good yeah, like like no Dalton Helio when Dalton was
there in the actually Beckham with Beckham, they were pretty
they were pretty decent, like the first year that Beckham
was there. Um, but I mean it was they were

(52:09):
They were never a powerhouse, like like you felt like
they could be with the talent that we had down
in Louisiana. We got two minutes. I want to get
it in Memphish over Awake and three best betches. I'm
going with Army. I know they're Land six. I I
can go with that. I feel like the ball control Syracuse.

(52:29):
I'm taking I'm taking a cuse and I'm I know
I'm going against somebody, but I like Hawaii and Hawaii.
He's going again. I like Hawaii and Hawaii. This is
this is like a statement game for Hawaii. I mean
it's like if there's a home game and then there's
a home game on top of a home game for Hawaii.

(52:50):
This is unbelievable. Should be a better crowd for the
