Ladies and gentlemen. You are now to the Fantasy Baseball Smith.

(00:45):
Clark's wanting to write down the line then me go
crazy crazy, I'm hard to one again, Swig, Can I
find ball to me right now? I gotta be all

(01:06):
believable given you that won the game and find the
fall I don't believe when I talk. What's up everybody,

(01:55):
and welcome, It's time for the Fantasy Baseball Hour. I'm
match striker Joe jining me back from the beyond. Mike
the roto cop. What's going on? Everything good? He's safe,
country safe, The country is safe. I am safe. I
could be a little safer if a couple of my
fab bids when I went my way about an hour ago.
But we'll get into that in a minute. But yeah,

(02:16):
Mike the rohto cop on Twitter. If you guys don't
follow me already, follow us at a Fantasy b B
hour on Twitter as well. And I do the Wednesday
DFS at picture list dot com. So DFS is something
that Mad and Matter are both interested in, and we'll
touch on. Also, Matt, did you happen to catch any
of the golf this weekend? No, I just I saw
the leaderboard and then I saw the results, but I

(02:38):
was definitely far more distracted in the sports world. Yeah,
I mean you have had the golf Brooks kept when
his fourth major, the Wilder Fight. I don't know if
you call it that. Yeah. I saw a lot of
stuff online, just the right hand. What I liked about
it the best was so I got trained in Releasas gym.
It's a boxing gym, and you watch it. He he's

(03:00):
he's trying to avoid I guess it's the left hand
coming the other way, and he nails it and he
continues away in his movement and then just calmly walks away.
It was really it was really pretty and I'm I'm
a big moral guy, but I don't know about the
call I don't know if you heard his call for
that one. That was a little it was a little weak.
I don't remember what he said exactly, but it wasn't
It wasn't up to his standard. He has a very

(03:20):
high standard in my eyes, and it wasn't up to
his standard. Um NBA Playoffs, we're recording this on Sunday night.
The Raptors just got finished beating the Bucks and double overtime.
Warriors are up three. Oh. You think the Warriors are
going to repeat again? I think it's Warriors books, and
I think that's fun. I think it's good for leave,
but hanging out, I needed to go back and do something.
I guess that announcers creed Man sold, could you do

(03:43):
a better job on a call? A lot of people criticize,
like announcers and stuff on mine, and I've been subject
to it, and I often wonder, in the moment, I
believe everyone's talented equally talented, how would you, in what
you perceived to be proper hauling of sports based off
of what you've seen, how would you have called that knockout?

(04:03):
Come on? Now you're on the clock. Here we go
to your turn. You're gonna criticize him, call it it's
funny because he doesn't have the opportunity to think before
and and even with the opportunity to think before and
I still wouldn't be able to even come close to
that call. But I'm he just sets a high standard
for ring announcers. So I'm gonna ballow on this one.
I don't think I'm a point for all broadcasters around

(04:26):
the world try to push back and people it's not like, hey,
you do better, but give it a shot and put
yourself in their shoes. So either way, so yeah, all
that goes on. And see what I like is while
there are people people like you, I am seriously obsessing
Mike using you know, out on like friendships and relationships
I own. I want to say one, two, three, I

(04:47):
owned six of what I deemed to be the top
seven call ups in the last fourteen days in my
seven of nine leagues. Right, yeah, that's crazy. This was
an NFPC world. It was called the Fabrigeddon because of
all the collops that that happened this week. You got
Austin Riley, Willie Calhoun, Nikki Lopez, Kesting here, Ara here

(05:10):
are how do you say it? Kest in Hero here.
I don't know why. That's always a tongue twisted for me. Um.
Marcado got called up, Brendan Rodgers got called up, Corbin
Martin was available for the first time on NBC, so
it was a wild fab Sunday. Um, how many of
the guys did you say you had? I owned in

(05:30):
at a seven and nine leagues. I own at least
one share of Carlo Lopez, Hero, Riley Rogers. I don't
know really any count own I don't I don't know
any Martin. Um, yeah, alright, so I in my Yahoo
pro league, I got a hold of Lopez, Mercado, and Rogers.

(05:51):
I missed Keston by three minutes, so that one kind
of hurt. I missed on Austin Riley because I don't
even remember what I was doing. But I missed on
aust And Riley and Willie Calhoun. I missed on as
well by like literally by like ten minutes. So I
was pretty bummed. But all all signs were pointing to
Sunday night, which is at about an hour an hour

(06:12):
and three minutes ago, the fabran and NFBC, and I
got out of all those guys, just Nicky Lopez in
one league for seventy six dollars I got him. He
Um went for a hundred thirteen and the other league
I was in I also put a seventy six dollar
bit on on him. Austin Riley went for three O
nine and two eighty four and two of my league's

(06:32):
Calhoun and for two thirty four. Like the numbers are insane.
Mercado went for one on nine and one eleven, Brendan
Rodgers three on nine and two eleven. Corbin Martin went
for a hundred twenty three dollars in one league and
only six dollars in the t g FBI, which is
an industry league. I don't know if people thought he
was gonna they were gonna be outbid, so they just
didn't place a bid. But um, your your guy, Donkey

(06:54):
teeth eighty seven on Twitter, he he put a keep
him on this bit of six dollars and he actually
ended up winning him, so that was a good move
by him. He also got Scott Kingery for nine dollars.
Who's coming off the DAL so I thought he had
a good fab week the FABS crazy man. There's uh
the runner up on Nikki Lopez that I got for
seventy six dollars was seventy dollars. I got Howie Kendrick

(07:16):
in a league for twenty one dollars. The runner up
was eighteen. Uh. Some of the two step pictures Sean
Anderson I got for eleven dollars actually tied somebody for
eleven and I had the higher waiver. Mike Leak I
got for eleven dollars. The runner up was eight dollars.
So those are some two star pitchers. I also got
home or Bailey. But this fab Sunday was wild. If
you if you didn't spend too much money throughout the

(07:37):
year so far, you've probably wasted a lot of it
this week. And I want to say wasted, but you
probably spent a lot of it this week. Utilized that
it's an asset um. Now here's something I heard on
weekend talk from like, Yeah, a lot of a lot
of are just like buds in the in the game, man,
would you out of all those players, take any of
those players or Malex Smith. Uh, take a handful of

(08:01):
these guys before malexman. Nikki Lopez. I really I'm intrigued
by him. He seems to have the best path of
playing time at all these guys and he's he's done
well so far. I'd rather have Austin Riley. I'd rather
Willy Calhoun. When you start getting to Mercado, that's when
it becomes iffy, because he said two days in a
row right after they called him up. But I would
take most of these guys over Malex Smith. You feel

(08:23):
the same way. I have to admit. Sometimes three in
the morning, I'm sitting there laying hold on my phone,
face up, looking and I just look at guys like
yourn Alvarezer, Kyle Tucker and don't want to make little
moves like them. I want to have Alex Smith in
a couple of leagues. But I just wonder one of
these decisions, two of these decisions may win or lose
me in the league, like it's happened, you know. So

(08:45):
it's it's things like that that you really start to
wrestle with. Why could I go back and I look
who I could have had Player X instead I took
player Why Look, I missed forty five points and making
up stolen basis and I missed out on money. I
was in the fourth place. Yeah, So it's always a
fluid situation when you're dealing with FAB and when you're
dealing with the waiver wire. So if you want to

(09:05):
get your guy at least in FAB, you pretty much can,
depending on how much money you spend on him. If
you want to waste your whole your whole bank account,
quote unquote, then you could get your guy in a
in a league like your league, or a daily or
Yahoo league or CBS ESPN. A lot of depends on waivers,
or if the guys are on on waivers, they're just
free agents. How fast you get the information and how

(09:26):
fast you get to your computer. So let me ask
you this, So you say, how fast you get the information,
how fast you gets computer? How quickly you get you
get this guy in that guy. If I looked at
in a random Yahoo leak, I'll go to one that
I'm in two points league. Fairly unique, but for the
most part it's normal, ununderstandable. The top hitter thus far

(09:49):
in the Yahoo leagues are in two points. I give
you guess who's that hitter, Cody Bellinger. Yeah, okay, now
that's to twenty. That's the top side of bats. The
top picture the top twenty score a two thirty one
or more so conceivably, would you rather have Carlos Carrasco,

(10:09):
Cody Belloner, Max Freed, Cody Bellinger called hamlets like now,
Frankie Montes and Martin Perez Cole Bellon, Cody Bellinger court.
You'd say to Cody Balinger every time, but statistically, numerically,
and practically, you should have any of these pictures, and
you could have four of them. You could have Mike
Miner and Caleb Smith conceivably on your team. I could
own Matt Boyd and Trevor Bauer and hunging Ryou. I

(10:34):
no one knew who I had, and look at me,
I'm winning every league by miles. What do you think
about that? At this point in leads starting to look
at pictures and starting to sacrifice submitters. Yeah, I mean,
nobody saw this coming in what's happened this year. I
know people are talking about juice ball and everything, but
nobody predicted Domingo Herman and Hingin Ryou would be top
five pitchers this late into the season, even though it's

(10:56):
still only a little while in. But Caleb Smith at
the top of the pitcher's list isn't something that anybody expected.
Mike Saroka, as an here right under one, and he's
pitched thirty seven innings already, so there's a lot of
crazy stuff happening. I'd see how it plays out before
I decided to stick to either one of those strategies. Personally,
I'm i'm I'm I love pitching, But drafting wise, I'm

(11:18):
always going to lean towards the hitting side. I think
you can find pitching a lot easier than you can
find solid, solid hitting, So I'm always gonna favor the
hitting side of things. But like you said, if you
did see it coming and you drafted these pictures and
you stacked up on them in that points league, whatever
the categories are, you definitely are towards the top of
your league. So play this game with me. If I

(11:40):
meet you, Hey, what's up? You like baseball, so let's
be friends. Let me tell you about a pitching staff
I own. And I say to you, my pitching staff
is Brandon Wood of Martin Perez, Max Free, Jacodorezi and Lucas.
What do you think you'd be polite and be like, oh,
it's nice. Would you be like, yo, that's that's a
nasty staff. Uh. Five weeks ago, I would have been

(12:02):
polite and said, Hey, that's great, good luck buddy. But
now I would say you you saw something most people didn't.
If that's your pitching staff, Yeah, because those guys are
third and fourth perspectively in the league and wins and
that that that's a high value category in mostly and
as far as strike ats goes, it's been the usual
suspect of the exception. Maybe back, you're smarter than everyone

(12:24):
in the room, Caleb Smith. I don't think you know
everyone saw him coming at these people in my circles. Yes,
it's all the would your random Woodruff is Mike Minor.
Those are the outliers and strike at So yeah, whomever
drafted Brandon Woodruff, of course I own him. That's why

(12:45):
I'm saying this. But it's things like that. Man, I'd
rather have Brandon would thing than than Cody Bellinger right now.
But I just say that I said it. You definitely
did say that. That will be a quote that I
make sure to tweet right after this podcast is released.
Some actually random on yes to undred thirty three points
and bellingans twenty. So let me take that back someone.

(13:05):
But honestly, that but I'm trying to say, it's my
sneaky sleepy sex syson some some other news. Is especially
here in New York is uh Robinson Canoe and this
whole hustling thing that we dealt with last season with
Manny Machado Friday. Canot doesn't hustle on a double playball
and he actually said the video board showed two outs

(13:27):
when there was only one out, and they found out
later that was alive. Didn't say there was two outs,
so he lied about that. And to make things even worse, Sunday,
he hits a dribbler. I thought it was going foul,
didn't run to first base, and what happens, It stays
fair and it was an easy double play. So Robinson
Cano is definitely the uh, the goat right now for
the New York Medicine all their their problems going on.

(13:50):
And I was just wondering in wrestling, is there any
kind of like, um, I don't know the right word
to use here, but hustle, Like if guys aren't really
giving it their whole in a wrestling ring, can you
tell that just by watching being a pro wrestler. So
there's a couple of things you know that I've come
to learn. You expose who's an athletic and who isn't

(14:13):
very quickly if you're doing this two x nights a year.
So I know, if you're athletic, I can go with you.
Let's say I'm making you up. You jump really well,
that's your thing. At least I know every night we
can get a cool like leap from dropkick Rana kind
of thing in and it's gonna be okay. If you're
lazy and you're a sack and you're gonna drop me
on my head and the movie's gonna look bad, you're

(14:34):
gonna be be called blown up, just like can't breathe
Watch next match you watch, try to find out the
guy's breathing. Have you watched his stomach, watch his chest,
watch his mouth. Some guys get blown up quickly. Some
guys never get blown up at all. Tommy Dreamer, bless him,
he is two eighty pounds. Don't tell him. I told
you that that guy will not blow up. He can
got minutes and never ever sack body slammed him. And

(14:58):
that's on the truth. So they got It's definitely an
interesting aspect to the wrestling world and to the baseball world,
and guys are talking about hustling um, Shane Bieber complete
game shutout fifteen kys. I don't know if you caught
any of it. Yeah, I own him. He's mine. The
fewest pitches in a in a fifteen strikeout shutout since
two thousand and fourteen, the fourth youngest picture with fifteen

(15:21):
strikeouts and no walks, the second Indians pitcher ever with
fifteen strikeouts and no walks, the youngest Indians pitcher ever
with twelve plus strikeouts ever with what with fifteen strikeouts
and no walks. Outside of Biebers two stars this year
against the White Sox in Atlanta. He got hit for
five and runs in each of those games. But other

(15:41):
than that, he's been awesome. His his he Earra's down
to three two. He has sixty nine strikeouts in fifty
eight innings pitch and he is the breakout star that
everybody thought he was gonna be. YEA, so far, so good.
I did it. Um listen, man, I gotta tell you
I am happy, happy, joy joy. The weekend that I
had in the Daily Slate, Um, I mean I talked

(16:02):
a lot about it in the last episode, but a
lot of things that I stayed off of just for
whatever reason. I'll be honest, so and so in the lineup.
Everyone pretty much came in for me. I feel real
good about the way the season's going for all of
my fantasy teams. How do you feel right now as
a GM of yourself? How are your team's doing? How

(16:25):
are you doing? Personal? And my three main leagues that
I want to speak about. Um, I am in seventh
place in my Yahoo Pro thousand. I run into some
bad luck there, seven out of twelve. In the main
event qualifier for on NFBC and the Fantasy Benefits main
event qualifier, I'm in sixth out of fifteen. I've actually

(16:50):
dropped a lit I've dropped a little bit there, and
in uh T g FBI I am in eighth out
of fifteen currently. But I have been hit. I have
been hit with the injury bug. I had trade Turner
and both NFPC leagues. I have Jihn Carl standing in
one of those, I have Francisco Lindor and another one
who missed time in the beginning of the year. So

(17:10):
now staying start and rehab rehab stint tomorrow, I think
I read so things. Things are turned around a little
bit now, a turner back, so we'll see where the
next month takes us. Listen, it's giving a passwords. I'll
take over it. I'm telling you, man, I could work
your magic. But well we'll see where I end. It's

(17:30):
not how you finish this, how you end you finish.
Keep that in the show. I'm not touching that. That
stays in bro. I love it again, honestly. That's the
thing about this game, so speaking, whether it's getting nicer stuff,
it's just to keeps you young and keeps your mind working.
That's what I said. I said, it's not how you finish,

(17:51):
it's how you end. I just got it now. Wells
say it's not I meant to say. It's not how
you start, it's how you finish. Right, That's that's what
you meant, all right? What do um? So? Listen? You
also like to do this pretty much every weekend. I
think it's really helpful. Is you have a keen eye

(18:13):
for just guys that are playing that are outliers and
statistical outliers, or guys that are playing over their head
with their hair on fire always kid, So you call
it is he for real? You run down a list
of players and you ask if they're for real? And
by that we mean, it's someone that you're worth you
going out. I'm getting they're probably available on the wire
for the most part, but there's someone a trade for

(18:35):
long term that I wouldn't so much agree with. What, Mike,
what do you think about talking about how Howe Kendrick
is awesome? Sevent out in Yahoo he um coming into
tonight he was hitting three eleven with six homers twenty
four byes, and he homer again tonight. He had his
seventh homer thirty five years old. He is what I
call a stack cast hero. If you look at all

(18:56):
of the stack cast numbers, he's over the ninety percent
talent hard hit rate, expected batting average, expected slugging expected well.
But if he's out there, I would definitely try and
grab Howwie Kendrick. His two thousand eighteen oh swing was
forty point three percent. Now in two thousand nineteen that's
set down to thirty four point nine. Swinging strike rate
last year was a ten point seven, now it's at

(19:18):
seven point oh. The soft contact is down, the hard
contacts up. His babbit is three ten and like I said,
he's hitting three eleven, so he's for real. He's as
real as it gets for me probably the realist on
this in this segment that we've done so far this year,
I'm all over Howry Kendrick. I think if he's available,
you should definitely add him. What would you do if

(19:41):
Christian bas Cansas on your wave wire? I would add
him as well, because he's just about average and all
the stockcast categories not exceptional, but his his per fields
are there. They've also added framing. I don't know if
you saw that on the Baseball Serran to the stodcast numbers,
which I thought was pretty cool. It's like a FULLT Dugget. Yeah,
so they added the percentile for framing back to Vascas.

(20:04):
Though he doesn't strike out much and he's way below
league average and in oh swing and swinging strike and
he's really patient, has a really good eye. If he
played any other position, I would probably say don't go
out there and get him. But the fact that he's
a catcher and he's only on sitting three on nine
with six homers, so that's that's very good for catchers.
So I would definitely go out and add Vasquez and

(20:25):
Kendrick if you can, especially Kendrick. Here's a guy that
I saw you. You sent me a message and to
add him to this list of the questions I I
think I would definitely take take a flyer on this
guy here, depending on if he had like two star
week and who would be against and things like that.
That's Jordan Miles. What do you think? I am actually
going to disagree with you, Matt, even though he is

(20:46):
fifty percent owned and he is having a phenomenal season.
I don't know if you saw our friend Robbie Rowland
did a breakdown on him after his last start. He
thinks he thinks he has the best curveball in baseball
in the entire Major League. So um, if you want
to check that out of the Robbie rolland show dot com.
But Lyles has an interesting story because the Padres didn't

(21:06):
want him last year. They could have, They could have
kept him for cheap. They didn't. The Brewers picked him
up and they didn't want him, so they got rid
of him, and now Pittsburgh is reaping all the benefits
for it. Fast ball, slider, curve ball, change up, simple
mixed there for him, fastball sits around ninety three. The
pitch value on his curve, slider and fastball are all
above three. So all those things sound great, but he

(21:26):
is not the stack cast hero you want to see,
and that makes me a bit skeptical. His fastball spin
his poor, his exit vilo is poor, as hard hit
percentage is poor. He doesn't get as many swings and
misses as you would like to see. So I expect
him to come back down to earth. He's kind of
a guy who I think will be as good as
the competition he faces. So I think he will be
a pretty good sell high candidate right now. So I

(21:49):
have three points to make. First one is if I
was at home and I hear this and I go,
I want to know for myself, where can I find
Jordan Lyles aren't fit? And it's current r A, Like,
what which site would you use to go and try
to find that? If you were sitting at home and
wanted that, I'm a big Google fan man, so I
would just google Google Jordan's Lyles fan graphs and click

(22:14):
the first thing that comes up. And the thing with
fan graphs is you could customize the first thing you see.
So the way I have a customize is probably a
little crazy, but out there, whatever you want, you can
customize it to that certain way, and every player will
pop up that way. The files his FIP is a
three point two four is x fips at three point
nine four, so that's obviously three point two four. And

(22:35):
what's the r A there is one point nine seven?
Do you have some sort of special FIP calculator over there?
No gets a Willard trying to figure out because normally
if the had a descriptancy and that tells you a
little bit more about what the picture is doing, is

(22:55):
also a three nine nine. My other issue was going
to be just say to you. We had mentioned how
Belly is leading all hitters, and y'all believes the two
total points for the season. Jordan ninety teams. So I
came to you and covered the names, and I said,
you can have a picture for two nine points at
this point in the season, or you can have a

(23:16):
hit there for two hundred twenty points. You wouldn't know
who these two players were and you'd never ever think
about it. Also, there's a Ray Serie factor in Pittsburgh,
and that's I think Musco's kind of had a regression
a little bit, but he'll find something. But with what
the coach, the pitching staff does, the coaching staff does
over there is the changes these pictures, and I think
the Lyles could be a fun guy. He's gonna come cheap,

(23:38):
you know what you said, So I mean, I don't know.
I just think he's real. It's yeah, yeah, I would
definitely try and tread him to you. Then that would
probably a lot back from you and see what happens.
That's that's good, all right, next guy, I mean for
real or for not. It's just the question of when
he becomes for broken. And that's Josh Reddick. And I
just think he's a guy that is benefiting from a

(24:00):
he more around him. It's just just like broke a
ten game I think today rights. Yeah, there is a
lot of outliers with Reddick. Here. He is hitting three
four with four homers and RBIs. He's thirty two years old.
He kind of is what he is at this point. Uh.
He's hitting four thirty five against lefties this season and
he's a career too thirty nine hitting hitter against left

(24:20):
handed pitching. He's such a big contact guy. His battles
at three forty seven, which is obviously not sustainable for
for Josh Reddick. He's another guy who is in the
stack cast here, and that worries me. Very poor Exavillo,
very poor, hard hit, average ex well but average ex slugging.
I think he's another guy you might want to consider
selling high on. I like selling guys, I really do,

(24:42):
especially now. Also though I see in a lot of
my leagues people don't trade, you know, and most times
people trade with people like they know. And three of
my leagues I know the guys so by the team name.
I know, Oh that's my god, that's so and so
they dislike we disliked each other. Learn they will not
accept the trade, regardless of how fair it is. So

(25:05):
a lot of times it's difficult to do that. You
have to work the wire, all right. Another guy, if
you see him floating around, you think you could get him,
do you? And that's Pablo Sandoval, very interesting guy here.
Two percent owns he is hitting two ninety three with
six homers f r bus coming into Sunday. He actually
had a Pinshon homer on Saturday night. Then he had
another Pinsion homer on Sunday. So he don't get too

(25:28):
worried because he did start all five games before that.
He doesn't walk much, only three point five percent walk
Ray right now. But he hasn't walked much throughout his
entire career. He chases a ton of pitches forty seven
point five percent oh swing, which is outrageous. His fifteen
point six percent swinging strike rates outrageous. But he does
hit the ball very hard, and when he makes contact,
it's it's hit very hard. Is his hard hit rates

(25:49):
up to fifty percent this here, which is crazy. The
stackcast numbers aren't available on him yet, so I'll be
looking forward to those dropping. But if you're in a
rotissary league and you need power, then I would suggest
Pablo sand the ball. But anything other than that, I
would probably stay away. So he's more of a depends
on what you need kind of guy. So you know,
we we do this and a lot of times I

(26:12):
have to check myself before I rack myself. See, I
know it's up because I'm just like, why am I
making a move just for sake of making a move? Uh?
The other night again, three am who knows whatever? Bleary
eyed and I'm like, yeah, I'll just drop Jolio Turano
like Zach Davis, And I was like, am I doing
it just to make a move? I mean, the they're
the most exception of like strikeouts. And I was like,

(26:34):
all right, well you convince yourself, well, Dave, this is
not a better team, just so you can make a move,
just you could see your name in the transaction log um.
I just have to be careful. And I think when
we do this it makes listeners careful when they say,
oh gosh, Pablo Sanderval, let me Bobo sand them all
And you're like, no, I shouldn't get Pablo sand You

(26:55):
know what I mean? Yeah, No, it's when I was
growing up playing fancy baseball, I wanted I literally made
move so other people would see my name, like guys
that didn't even want. Now I don't do that as
much anymore because I got older and wiser. But I
know exactly what you mean. Nice, nice way to turn
that all around. All right, So what I want to do,
and I think you're you're the only person I want

(27:16):
to do this with, Michael. So that's what I do
when I look at dfs coming up. So I'm gonna
look at dfs for Monday, the dfs for Tuesday. Why
can we just go around just on some quick pitching
matchups and you'll just tell me if you like certain backs,
so I'll just read them off. I'll start so like
you have the socks are at the Jay's David Price
against Edwin Jackson. What do you think? Is there anything

(27:37):
that jumps out at you in a short, little thirty
second tidbit. No, not much there. Edwin Jackson's back in
the majors, which is interesting to say the least. He
didn't do too bad in his first start. He actually
I can't remember who he faced, but I remember watching
the game. I can't remember who was that he facing
his first thought, I'll look it up now, but I would, uh,

(28:00):
I would stay away from Edward Jackson for for that
game for sure. Yeah. I mean, if you want to
go with socks bats, maybe you do. But then again,
you never know. It's just one of those things. And
I think there's there aren't a lot of games I'm
on this slate, but there are others that I can pass.
And it was it was Sean Anderson is who Edmund
Jackson his last started making his debut for the Giants. Yeah,

(28:20):
a lot of people on Shawn Anderson. I heard people
talking about him. I had him, and then I think
I may have just dropped him for I like the
matchups better, uh, Crasco against Brett Anderson, the Ads and
the Indians. Anything there for you, Yeah, I mean Carrasco
is definitely always interesting to watch to keep an eye on.
As far as Brett Anderson goes, I will make it
a goal of mine never to roster him in any

(28:42):
kind of anything for the rest of my life. So
that's how that's that's how I feel about Brett Anderson.
How do you really feel? All right? The next game
is is something and I got bit by saying this
last time out is that I think it was almost
suspiciously chalky. You know. It's this is half Yankees at Baltimore,
Weather Permitting against Andrew Cashner. I just feel like this,

(29:03):
why are you handing me this money? You know? I
mean I think Yankee backs all day. Yeah. Yeah, But
surprisingly um Trey Mancini, Ranaldo nun Yez have had some
success against Halp, so watch out for those two going
uh righty lefty there. But as with like you said,
with cash there, if you could somehow roster Kendry smarts tomorrow.

(29:24):
He has seven hits and and three homers against cash
in his career. He should be playing Tomorrow's I'd be
surprised if he wasn't. I think that would be the
guy to grab in that game, for sure. Nice, that's
a nice little sexy tip. But the Nationals are at
the Mets. Who are the match throwing? Do you know
Drew Gagnon is the projected start of the last I saw? Okay,

(29:46):
fair enough, then I guess your smart money tells you Corbin, Yeah,
for sure, especially the way the Mets are playing right
now and everything going on with the Canos situation, with
the Mickey Calloway situation, I would definitely, uh, the smart
money goes through Corbin and the Nationals hitters in that one. Alright,
the Pills are at the Cubs. It's Jake Garry had
taking the bump against you, Darvish, You Darvish. He keeps

(30:09):
um ropen people back in. I guess I should say people.
People keep giving up on him and then he brings
him right back in. That's a that's a great matchup
five years ago or even four years three years ago.
You dallars against Jake carrieda But I would stay away
from from both pictures in that one. All right, Um,

(30:29):
Mariners are at the Rangers. It will be Mike Leak
against Mike Miner. What do you think? I think that
these this game holds the two guys that I picked
as my one and one from Monday I got. We
spoke about last Monday on the is He for Real segment?
Hunter Pence is fifteen for thirty nine with five extra
bass against Mike Leak. Pence is flying off the charts

(30:50):
with the stack cast numbers. Every single ranking is is
overcential more even as sprint speed is percentile at thirty
six years old, which is something special. Leaks had a
decen season. He has a four year right, but he's
throwing the cutter like an insane amount, and that's Pence's
best pitch to see is in his career against cutters,

(31:10):
He's in three forty two, so I would consider doing
putting him in your lineup. I consider stacking Texas because Pence,
to Mazzara and o'dor all have good numbers against Leak.
And even though there's a lot of good starting pitchers
out there tomorrow, between Chris Paddock, Mikesarroka, and even Mike Miner,
I think I'll go Minor. He is facing the best

(31:32):
offense of the three in the Mariners. But he also
has the best chance to go deep into the game.
In my opinion, the Mariners have seen him a lot.
He's seven played appearances as a team, but they're only
hitting two forty one. And he loves pitching at home.
He loves pitching in Texas. He has at one point
eight right at home this year his whips under one.
So that's definitely a game I'm gonna keep an eye
on and try and stack Texas and even Graham, Mike Leak,

(31:53):
Mike Minor if I can nice and I think that
you'll definitely be able to do that that and it
will be inexpensive, right, I mean most part. And you're
saying your grandparents and grabs my house. I don't think
those guys are going to be highly priced, right, Yeah.
I should be able to put together a pretty decent
squad tomorrow. Um, I don't expect the usage rates of
those guys to be too high. Alright. What about the

(32:13):
socks at the Astros. I mean, everyone that's been riding
the Astros is winning money. I'll say I did it too.
You know. It's I'm not ashamed to say it. It's
Brad Peacock getting great competens I don't know, doyn't coming,
doyn't see that. I have no idea. I don't know
if they've named the starter for tomorrow yet. I still
don't think they have. They're supposed to be many Ben Willos.
But he got hurt, and I would just if you're

(32:34):
gonna stack another team besides Texas, I would stack the Astros.
Springer got hurt today. He has some Baptist come for Yeah,
he's um. He might actually be a little more hurt
than there than they're saying. Maybe he's Diaz is also
kind of nick right now. So a lot of people
are going out and grabbing Alvarez and a couple other
guys in the monor leagues for the Astros. Assuming that

(32:56):
one of these guys goes on the I l they'll
be able to get cheap get there. Man, it's so awesome,
I mean, having all these young players up and stuff.
And then when the team like Houston does it, do
you really start to feel you feel the league? And
there's something about saying, I don't know, it's weird, like
you know Oscar mccott. They don't know. I don't watch

(33:19):
this guy's good. I don't know this is something I
like about it. I felt that way about this brave picture.
Rocketsmorrow and face his INJURWS Wars at San Francisco. Rocket's
form old ah point nine a d r A. I mean,
and he had he had some injury issues, but I've
stayed faithful to him and he's paid dividends for me.
He's my hot tomorrow. Yeah, the numbers speak for themselves.

(33:40):
He's having a tremendous season. You said the ear right
under one thirty six point two winnings pitch thirty four strikeouts.
He's getting his keys. He really has been dominant St.
Louis at Arizona, at Miami, San Diego, at Cincinnati, Arizona again,
and he's got another week opponent the Giants here, so
he should he should. He should definitely play tomorrow in

(34:01):
a DFS. I'll probably get a ton of usage. But
if you could grab him and even pair him with Minor,
you should have a good pitching there. Yeah, I mean
it is now. I'm just like gunshy about the Chalky
because of like I said it, and it happened at
the Graham this past weekend against Miami. But yeah, it's
it's Rock is just there again. It's like, why are
you handing me this money? Two other matchups on on

(34:24):
Slate for tomorrow's Jaco the Reesy at Taylor Cole, the
Twins at the Angels. We you featured in our is
he for real in the past? What do you think
about this matchup? Like it? You love it? You it?
What's up? I'm not the biggest fan of it. I'm
gonna stay, uh pretty far away from this one. Mike
trouts five for ten against Odor is he uh not

(34:44):
not much of a success for the Angels against him.
I guess if you really want to take a flyer
on him, you can. He might be a little expensive
due to the season he's having, but I would stay away.
Taylor Cole, I'm gonna be honest with you. I don't
know too much about him, but the Twins are hitting
c J. Crowns on fire right now, so I would
stay away from that game. Crown is definitely someone that

(35:06):
listeners should try to go out and grab. I picked
them up in a couple of in a fan tricks
league and um yeah, man, just trying to ride the
hot hand. Keep an open roster spot for some fluidity,
but releast it would be like water. And that means
so much because you know, it's great, it's fun to
be in on the action. And speaking of fun, a
game that I just think sometimes got like a game

(35:27):
where I have no money on it, you know, no skinning,
and I just sit back on the couch and relaxed.
It's always like a ten o'clock game. I'm in New
York and it's a game on the coast and it's
the Padres against Diamondbacks. It's Luke Weaver, a former cardinal.
Chris Packick our friend of the show. Guys have that
Nicle records at three and two. Paddock c r A
is just sneak under two. It's one point nine nine
or is we were at three point six? What b

(35:49):
r A and strikeouts with that? This is gonna be fun.
This is, if I'm not mistaken, the first time that
Chris Pack's going to see a team for the second
time or teams canna see Chris Paddock for the second
time and the first. In the first start, the Dyamondacks
on three for seventeen against Paddock with two extra base
hits one more floor has got him for a double

(36:09):
and Gerard Dyson and his speed got him for a double.
Rather than that they didn't have any success against Paddock.
Luke Weaver has shown a lot of bright spots this year.
I know some people are back on him, so that
should be a pretty good pitching match up, Luke Weaver
against Chris Paddock. Alright, So to reiterate, you like Kendricks Morales,
if he's there, Onis feeds their Texas bats if they're there.

(36:31):
My minor if it's there, is that right? So far? Yeah,
that's that's what I got for um for tomorrow Monday.
For Tuesday, I have Michael Brantley against Dylan Covey. I
think Brantley's definite playing this one. He's out a terrific season.
He's the definition of a professional hitter when people use

(36:52):
that term. He's sitting three thirty one this year. He's
having an awesome year. Ten homers, thirty two r B
I crushing right. He's hitting three thirty eight with eight
of his homers against right handed pitching. Covey has been struggling.
Here's a four or four year a and sixteen innings pitched,
only six strikeouts. It takes a lot to full Michael
Brantley and I don't think Dylan Covey as the tools
to do so nice. I mean that's a good gym

(37:12):
to pull out of a day that will be going
on Tuesday. There's a whole host of games, and I
mean I'll run it down as quickly as I can
and just really quick. You'll give me a if you
like something, and then we can dive in. The ads
are at the Indians are Buddy Trevor Bauer against Chris Bassett?
Are you on it? Yes? No, Chris bass is having
some some great starts he's putting together Bauer. I'll always

(37:35):
I'll always be on the Trevor Bauer game. Chris Davis
has success against him, so that's just something to keep
an eye on. But I'm gonna ride Bauer until he
really either lands on the I L because he's doing
so bad or some sort of injury news comes out.
But if he's healthy, I'm throwing him fair enough and
not either backs and that in that series are appealing
with that match? How about the Phillies areout the Cubs,

(37:58):
Zach Aflin versus Jose Can Talm. Jack Evelin a guy
that we featured on Did we feature him? Where? Did
we feature jaredia Coal on the is he for real? Segment? Yeah?
Maybe both? Okay, I didn't remember which one we did
with the riding with Robbie Um. Yeah, Evelyn's had a
great year so far. Canton has had a great year

(38:20):
so far. Phillies is always a good game, So definitely
tune in about DFS wise, I don't know if i'd
go with too many guys in this game. Maybe a
Chris Bryant maybe, Okay, all right, and this one is
again the Chalk. I'm gonna be all over the series.
It's gonna be doing a Harman versus David Stanke. He's
at the Orioles. Yeah, her mom I actually picked last

(38:40):
week when we spoke about the DFS and he went
against the Orioles. He ended up going seven innings, one
or eight strikeouts. He gets the ball again against the Orioles.
This time it's in Baltimore, but that shouldn't be an
issue at all. So I love her Mon. He's had
a great year, and I would just never pick an
Oriole to begin with, but now going against Mingo Arman,

(39:00):
I definitely would stay away from all the Orioles all right.
Out of these next three games with these three pitching matchups,
tell me a picture and a stack you would build? Okay,
Rockies are at the Pirates, Herman Marquez is at Chris Archer,
the Socks for at the Jay's and Water Rodriguez is
at Marcus Stroman and the Gnats are at New York

(39:23):
at the Mets. Erik Freedy against Zach Wheeler. Any picture
there that you love more than anyone else? Yeah, marquees
on the Road, I'm all for. Wheeler might have a
tough time with Washington. Stroman' is gonna have a tough
time with Boston. I got a couple of Boston bats
on my lineup, whether it be Alexander bold Art's, Christian

(39:43):
Baskets who we talked about earlier. Even j D for
his price, would probably worth it against Stroman. But I
think Marquees on the Road is something you should always play.
You would roster Marquez is your picture and what would
you make? Would you go? You go a Red Sox stack.
You had to add those other three games at three
Andrew talking about Yeah, out of those three, I go

(40:03):
Red Sox. That all right, So now I'll do the
same thing. I can read them. It's Clayton Kershaw at
I don't know who the Rays are gonna we're gonna
throw rays. Don't even know who the Rays are gonna throw, right,
Caleb Smith at Spencer Turnbull or Sunny Gray at Gio Gonzalez.
Uh blah. I mean I want if I want to

(40:25):
feel like, I want to outsmart myself and say Gio
Gonzalez is the smart pick out of everything. But I mean,
I guess you gotta go Kershaw just because terms Smith
will give me strang guns. I don't really know a stack.
I would go and brew a stack though, on a
line up. That's it. What do you think Kershaw at
tv D, Smith at Turnbull, Gray at Gonzalez? Kershaw is

(40:46):
gonna close you a lot of money. That's the only
he'll He'll pay dividends for sure. Uh you know, I'm
a Turnbull guy. I think he's a great picture as
far as the stack goes. I don't mind the Milwaukee
stack against Sonny Gray. I mean, Sonny Gray has showing
some a little bit of life this year, but I
think those guys will be able to get to him,
especially Yellow. So I don't mind that Yellow ch at

(41:08):
home against Sonny Gray. Alright, what about out of these
three games. It's the Mariagers don't know who they're gonna
throw against Lance ln White, Sox start dealing Covey against
Justin Verland, or the Royals throw Homer Bailey against Michael Walker.
Don't sleep on that Bailey Walker matchup. I know both
guys haven't put together the greatest seasons, but I think

(41:29):
that might be a little more low scoring than than
most people would think. Obviously, you want to get veryl
in there. He's gonna cost you a ton of money.
He'll be the top picture off the board. But if
you could build a good team around him, I would
I would definitely try and try and roster him just
to give you that extra boost. You might uh, you
might be playing somebody that's not even playing because you're

(41:49):
not gonna have money left over. But that's something you'll
deal with and try and figure out work your way
around it. So here's something I've noticed. Right between it'll
be one days late and tuesdays late, there's enough chalk
that if you want to play more than one lineup,
there's enough shock for you to truly build something around.
And I like that because there are some days like

(42:11):
a Wednesday, Thursday or so where there's the pitching slates.
This is not good. It's like you against you. I
don't want to just play because I want to play.
But yeah, man, the Cardinal Royal. Let's a rematch the
eight five series. Actually, I'm all, I don't. I don't
believe Homer Bill. I think if anything, Waka has has
the good day there obviously very Lands your chucky Chucky,
whatever the marriage do. I would not mind maybe some

(42:31):
Mariner backs against Lanceland. I hate his sax mccardinal fan,
but there it's just it's just a lot of home
run potential the area. I could see it. Yeah, it's
warm time, it's sticky. The Braves are at the Giants,
Julio Tehran Iran against Sean Anderson. The Twins are at
the Angels, Mike Panada at Trevor k. Hill and the
d Backs. You're at the back, all right, at the Padres.

(42:52):
And it's granky against strong. Yeah, I mean, I'm a
big mats strong guy. The Dimebacks do have success against him,
parlatis for for six, Stones three for five, Marte home
and off him sort of water Escobar. But I still
like Matt Strom in that matchup, don't sleep on Sean Anderson,
and we mentioned them earlier in his first star last week.
He didn't look too bad against Toronto, so that might

(43:14):
be a flyer. You want to take even a season
long fantasy and just see where it takes you. Definitely
don't sleep on Sean Anderson. He's got a two star
week this week. Also, yeah form in that regard for me. Yeah,
I do like Anderson, I get it. But if I
don't have to touch that game, I won't. And K
Hills cut and sweet, but again, if I don't have to,
I won't and the Greeky strong thing. Again, if I

(43:36):
don't have to, I won't. Think I'm looking at pictures
for Tuesday. It's yeah, I go back to her Mons
and Herlanders and then maybe to return blin some of
the stacks that I mentioned. That's how I will play
Monday and Tuesday in my daily fantasy. Um, Mike, did
you play this past weekend? And how I did you do?
Did not do very well this past weekend. I got

(43:58):
one line up in each day and um I had
some bright spots, but it was a busy weekend with
all the sports going on and everything going on. I'm
looking to rebound this week though, that's for sure. You
see what happens when real life gets in the way
and you have to go and be like who you
really are. You don't do well, because I I did

(44:20):
quite well actually, but whatever, I don't want to rub
it in there time and I'm just like, all right, Mike,
just give me one third basement, give me just somebody
to fill a roster with. What else you got going on?
Anything else? Man? No? It said, Um, hopefully this this
carries people over into Wednesday's show, and then that will
carry people over into Friday show. And if you didn't

(44:40):
hear um Robbie Rowland's breakdown and the last segment and
Friday show, you can still get some useful information out
of that. Go U follow us at Fantasy bb Hour

whatever questions you got, whatever you need. Alright, So I
think on Wednesday we're gonna go in the lab. Maybe
we'll break down barrel. Yeah, sure that sounds good to me. Alright,

(45:05):
So now that I got Mike in a good mood,
I should quit while I'm ahead. For Mike the Rono Cop,
I am Matt Striker. You can find me at Matt

(45:28):
and we'll see you out. Okay, yeah, yeah yeah
