Okay?
Speaker 5 (00:47):
Which side of this coin do you on?
Speaker 2 (00:50):
The flag?
Speaker 5 (00:50):
He wants to flag. He wants this flag right here.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I don't want that.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
He wants the flag.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
If Bryson any instance of the coin toss, I will
reflip it. He's supposed to flip it and it's got
a spin and.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
He's gonna gess it. Okay, he messes up, I will.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
All right. He called the flag.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Okay, it don't matter, but you can't mess up.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
All right? So muchy guy?
Speaker 6 (01:11):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (01:12):
So who.
Speaker 6 (01:15):

Speaker 3 (01:15):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
All right, this young man has won. What do you
want to do?
Speaker 3 (01:18):
We want to receive the football. You want to receive
the football in the field.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
You on to defend.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
You want to kick from the clock. It's behind me.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
Okay when we turn, y'all gonna turn.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Your back to this.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Okay, all right, very well? Said there by the white hat.
There you hear enterprise winning the toss. Say, we want
to have the football first, So we'll see up alike
on defense and see if the Bulldogs can get a
big stop when we come back.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Captains.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Tonight for the Bulldogs, you had Kimori Stintson, Reese Beasley,
Eli Brogdon, Andre Van Antonius Peters, and Keon Reid and
again our coin toss brought to our friends. Rentals Outdoors,
locally owned hunting, fishing, archery outdoor store. Take care of
all your outdoor sporting needs. It's Rentals Outdoors off Geneva
Street and ope Laiko. We'll continue to get you ready
for kickoff on the way next here from the wiregrass
(01:59):
it's Enterprise and Opelaka coming up here on the kicker
opening kicked by Reese Beasley in to the end zone
for a touchback, and we are underway here from the Wiregrouse.
That's Paul's ten seconds for station identification W kick Auburn
Opalaika is League County's best country ninety seven point seven
(02:21):
kicker FN and iHeart Country station. Well, the Wildcats winning
the tall say one of the football first, so we'll
see the Enterprise Wildcats. They'll start first and ten from
there on the twenty yard line. Their quarterback Mason Burkhart.
He's been a little banged up the past few weeks,
had a shot at the Auburn game, came back after
the golf week and played last week against Carver Montgomery.
(02:42):
It'll be uh Jyrel Reese who will work in the
backfield with Burkhart out of the shotgun. Here on first
and ten, it'll be an option to play. They'll go re
first right off the bat far side of the field,
turning it up his key low and he has forced
out of bounds at around the twenty five yard line.
Tremain Thomas on the stop, so I've been not breaking
On the reverse play, Ben Blackman comes out with a
(03:03):
trick play. No surprise there. He does get five, maybe
close to six yards there on that play.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Looks like it'll be five. Coach McCracken.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Yeah, they look like a little holding on that tu Van,
but that's okay. Let's go.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
The line of scrimmage will be the twenty five yard
line here for the Wildcats first intend. They line up
with Trip's receivers out to the left side of the field.
They'll bring a man in motion and it's a quarterback
keeper straight up the middle. Burke Hart will have the
first down up to the thirty three yard line. So
burke Hart picks up eight yards and enough for the
Wildcat first down. That's one thing Coach Moore says, he's
gonna do a lot of it, and he can really
(03:39):
wheel his team. And he doesn't have the guardian cap
on this week. He's got the normal helmet on Wildcats
with the Navy jerseys, they're going fast into the white pants.
Quick drop back throw caught at the four thirty nine
yard line intended receiver over the far side of the field,
unable to hang on to it as it falls incomplete.
Xavier Thomas up and made a nice hit on Kenyon
(04:01):
Keiloh at the thirty nine yard line, and it will
be second down and ten again the Wildcats from their
on thirty three yard line. Burk card I shot gun
hard count now checks the sidelines. They'll have two wide
receivers either side. We're just underweight here in enterprise and
now Reese the tailback will look to the right of Burkhart.
(04:24):
It's the snap option play quarterback. We'll keep it straight
up the middle. Got some good moves here at the
forty forty five and he slides down shy of the fifty.
They'll give him the forty nine yard line and that
will be a sixteen yard scamper for the quarterback. And
he looks like he's back to his old self here
after a couple of weeks banged up.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
That's a big play. Can't let him keep the ball
like this on us. TJ. Thomas, Josh Davis, Money Thomas
and Tres up front.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Five wide.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Look now for Enterprise first and ten from there on
a forty nine yard line. They're right near midfield. Pressure
comes from the Bulldogs. A quick throwing its incomplete inten
for black Men at the forty five yard line.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Or he took a shot then he.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Did tray stone with good pressure on the quarterback and
he got a lick on him. And boy, he is
slow to get up. And you know, coach McCracken, he
has been a.
Speaker 6 (05:12):
He got that was a great tackle. One of our
linebackers came off the edge.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
You just don't know how many hits that this quarterback
can take. It looks like he does have a special
light helmet and it will be the backup quarterback Mac
Houston checking in the ball game now as burke Hart
comes out, certainly hope he's okay. Is he has taken
some licks this season and a big shot in the
Auburn game. He's still trying to get back one hundred percent.
Seck it down and ten from the Wildcats on forty
(05:40):
nine yard line. Houston drops straight backs, got time throws
and it is caught near the first down marker in
the wide receiver was able to hang on to it.
They'll mark him down at the forty two yard line
and that'll be a nine yard pickup. We'll fault on
the reception there for the Wildcats. It'll be third down
in one and Wildcats will hurry up here with the
sophomore Houston in the quarterback show two white outs right,
(06:03):
single receiver to the left side, enterprise move that's going
to back them up five yards. That left side of
the wild Camp line came and more did before the snap.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
We've got Caden Harris and Bray Howard and Jamao Griffin,
Norman Matthews, Xavier Thomas, Antonius Peters, and Caden Harris to
wridend it out.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Boy, that was a penalty against Opalaikah. I'm not sure
if they said opelika with barking out of cadence or
something is the only kind of penalty I could think
it is. Coach Bryan Moore has his hands up wanting
an explanation.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
But we can't let this happen. Man.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
They already have gone fifty five yards on their first
possession against our defense.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Now let's go, guys, all.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Right at the thirty seven yard line now of Opelaikah,
black Man will go in motion and Burt Hart's back
in the ballgame. Burt Cart drops back left, rolls here
inlie a far side of the field. Got to take
off and run for it inside the thirty and Burkhart's
down close to the twenty six yard line. It's going
to be close to an eleven yard pick up. Another
(07:10):
first down for the Wildcats here on their opening drive.
Ninety underway. Here in the first quarter of play, I've
already seen the quarterback Mason Burkhart take a shot. Come
out of the game. He's back in the game, tough
kid at the twenty six. Now voplika first and ten
Wildcats bunch. Two receivers take to the right side of
(07:31):
the field, the short side near the enterprise side line.
Burke Cart checks the sidne lines to try to change
his play. Jarrel Reese tail back to the right of Burkehart.
Burkhart out of the shotgun. Now he'll bring a man
in motion from right to left play action. Burkehrt wants
to throw steps up in the pocket. Now we'll run.
(07:52):
Bounces off a defender and he's inside the twenty down
close to the nineteen yard line. So another good run
for Burkhart to seven yards on that busted play.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
Where they are just chewing us up on these play passes.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Goodness, now market inside the twenty down to nineteen of Opela.
Like Enterprise marching down the field here on their first
drive of the game. They've gone right at eighty one
yards so far on this one hard count here by
burke Hart. He'll check the sidelines. Two receivers either side.
Windy night here and Enterprise. That wind continues to whip
saw gust around twenty six miles an hour expected tonight,
(08:29):
a little like the offensive round week again, and burke
Hart's going to be hitting Elijah Odin tackles him down
in a sack back at the twenty one yard line.
Didn't get the flag on the movement, but the Bulldogs
do get the sag and that's gonna set up around
a third and seven coming up here for the Wildcat.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
The center didn't snap that ball on time, right there,
van third down and seven.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
White of scrimmage back around the twenty two yard line
now for the Wildcats, setting up around a third and
six long third and six here for the Wildcats. Burke
Hart out of the shotgun, two white out, tright, single
receiver to the left. It'll be a screen pass far
side of the field. Receiver's got it turning up field
knocked out it around the eleven yard line, and ain't
gonna be enough for a first down close to an
(09:12):
eleven yard pick up there on that quick throw and catch.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
By the Wildcats.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
So now it's first down for enterprise, and it will
not quite the first and goal situation. They've got the
ball spoted down at the eleven yard line, so it'll
be first in ten at the eleven yard line, and
the quarterback Burke Cahrt drops back and he's going to
be tackled down right near the line of scrimmage by
Tremaine Thomas Good stopped there by the Bulldogs. He wanted
(09:39):
to run inside, unable to find some running room that time.
He did pick up close to two yards, and it'll
be second down in eight. Wildcats can get a first
down inside the one.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
You need to play this run better than what we're doing.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Four man front, two white outs to the left side
of the field, and again the tailback will be Jarrell Reese.
They'll fake it the Ree's quarterback keeper. He's hit and
gotta be brought down around the eighth maybe the seven
yard line, not much there, a couple of yards.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
It'll be a third down on a third and.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Seven coming up here for the Wildcats. As that wind
continues to whip here inside Wildcats Studium, third and seven.
The ball is at the seven yard line. Hold on,
crowd getting on their feet, two white outs either side.
Reese will stay the tail back to the right of
Burkhart out of the shotgun. Now he'll bring a man
(10:38):
in motion, fakes right, rolls back far side. He's got
a man wide open in the end zone for the
Wildcat touchdown that was caught by Kenyon and Keilo for
the Enterprise scorer. And Burkehart carries his team all the
way down the field and they punch it in with
six point fifteen and a heck of an opening drive
for the Enterprise Wildcats here on their home field tonight,
hungry for a win right now. Four we're in region
(11:00):
play and that was a big time boy. Tell what Van,
We couldn't have played much worse than that. They went
seventy yards on us. Then Jose roach us extra point
into the wind is good and the Wildcats take a
seven nothing lead here on the Bulldogs of Opalaika.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Seven nothing.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
We'll see what the Dogs can do on offense when
we come back here. Listen, hop like a bulldog and
football here on the kicker while the Wildcats march it
right down the field. The wind got a hold of
that kick there by the Wildcats. It seals almost into
the first row of the visitor bleachers here where we're sitting,
(11:44):
and so the uple like a Bulldogs should have some
pretty good field position. Our coach Brian Moore could make
him kick it again. I think Coach Moore is gonna
elect to kick it again. It is a boy a
stiff breeze right now here inside Wildcats stadium. They're going
to back them up five yards and have him rekick
Ose or Rocha is the kicker have it teed up
at the thirty five Wildcats march at eighty yards down
(12:08):
the field and chewed up almost half of the first
quarter on that drive. Good running by Mason burke Hart,
seeing how dangerous that junior senior quarterback can be. Roach
you again into the wind. It will be a line
(12:28):
drive kick, and I believe Opalikah touched you as it
went out of bounds. I don't know why he did that.
He did at the twenty nine yard line. That's where
Opelika will have it. Coach More, I know, will be
frustrated with that, so I Opelikah touched it out of
bounds and now the Bulldogs will take it from their
own twenty nine yard line. I'm not sure if he
(12:49):
thought he was going to stay in bounds and was
helping things out by knocking it out of bounds, but
lost about six yards on that one.
Speaker 6 (12:56):
How we got they had seventeen plays on their first
drive with.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Cooper is first road start six foot, one hundred and
sixty pound sophomore and a big road start here on
the road at enterprise, Jordan wakes a tailback for the
Bulldogs from their on twenty nine yard line and right
off the bat Oplaika offensive line moves with that shift
from enterprise. That'll back the Bulldogs up five yards and
now we'll start for their own twenty four yard line.
(13:23):
It'll be first in fifteen. I know, Coach Moore on
the road, can't do that. Coach McCracken, no, sir, with
this is just really bad way to start. Coach Moore
have been preaching all the week trying to start fast
here on the road, but the Bulldogs find themselves down
seven to nothing. Now first and fifteen dogs from their
own twenty four yard line. Hand off to Waits and
not much running room there. Wakes is up to the
(13:45):
twenty six yard line, picked up two yards. It will
be second down and thirteen coming up for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
And not.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
The strength of Enterprise is their defensive front. You really
feel like Opelika's large offensive line will be able to
get some movement. But they've got some really good linebackers.
Walker Turner, the senior number twenty five, a guy that
gonna be the difference maker for the Wildcats tonight. Second
and thirteen here for the Bulldogs. Cooper out of the
shotgun and we'll hand it off. Try to run near
(14:13):
side and a good run there by. Jordan Wakes got
stopped shy of the thirty yard line for a three
yard pickup. It'll set up got a third and ten
though still after that penalty. Gavin White side on the
stop four of the Wildcats, and see if coach more
trust is Southport quarterback exactly throw here on third down,
(14:35):
wit Cooper out of the shotgun with a hard count.
Now they'll check the sidelines. Tail back this time is C. J. Johnson?
Is he checks in the game. Blake Johnson fall back
to the left of Cooper. Third down play whitplay action
drops back, frozed and got it to I Tree Van
it's called at the thirty nine yard line. Good job
right in for a Lambert transfer in storage first down.
(14:56):
Got ten yards on that throwing catch and just enough
to move the chain. It's good throw there by Witch
Cooper and to what is a tough win kind of
through with the wind on that one. But it's going
to play a factor of this passing game tonight if
you're behind it or into it.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Cee J.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Johnson stays in the ballgame, trips receivers to the left
of Cooper now first to ten Bulldogs from there on
thirty nine, they'll throw again and out in and out
of the hands of Jalen Washington at the forty four
yard line. Incomplete and Jalen just couldn't hang on to
that one second down in ten.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
For the Bulldogs. That was a great throw, Yeah, that
one on the money.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Then at young wide receiver here to the near side,
two wides to the left side here for with Cooper
out of the shotgun. Johnson stays in there ballgame at
the tailback position, and again Bulldogs want to throw. Cooper
rolls left throws and zip that one incomplete, try to
get it to Andre Van at midfield, and it will
be third down and ten for the Bulldogs from their
(15:57):
on thirty nine yard log. Sure if that one got
in the wind or not that one was.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Tell you what.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
It's gonna be tough to pass tonight downfield in this
wind twenty nine mile an hour gust expected here tonight,
Bulldogs will go empty backfield. Here were two wide receivers
either side for the sophomore quarterback with Cooper Enterprise Band
to our right on our sidelines.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Making plays and making noise.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Cooper empty backfield, Whit drops back steps up.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
In the pocket. Wint gonna try to tuck and run it.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Nice move, but it'll be hemmed up at the forty
two yard line for about three yards, and it will
bring up a bullet down where there's a shove out
of bounds. And now all flag does come in and
Wit Cooper signals first down after he was slung out
of bounds late on the play, and that's gonna be
a fifteen yard penalty on the Wildcats.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Pre league flag on the plane.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
A little unnecessary roughness on that one there by the
Wildcat's gonna cost them of the Bulldogs fifteen yards. Don't
get that call much on the road, but you got
it right there. So you see wit Cooper try to
tuck and run it there close down quickly there by
the Wildcat defense. But at fifteen yard penalty, we'll put
(17:17):
it in Wildcat territory down to the forty two yard line.
And if your a team that's been struggling like Enterprise has,
coach Ben Blackman certainly got to be frustrated with that penalty.
First and ten Bulldogs at the Enterprise forty two yard line.
Now after that penalty, progged in in as a blocker.
(17:38):
Now Washington will go in motion, toss play to Washington
trying to block on the outside, and Jalen pop down
at the forty two yard line by Gavin White signed
the linebacker and Enterprise really fast on defense there and
sniffed that one out. Gonna lose a yard back around
the forty had.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
A forty three yard line.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
You gotta have that player to run that ball in
between the tackles to begin that before you.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Start going outside. Van, we didn't do that.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Second down a loss of one. It'll be a second
down at eleven four. Opalaika Now the Bulldogs are going
to get a penalty, and they had twelve men on
the field, two running backs in the backfield, and that's
going to be illegal substitution. And we'll see a couple
of Bulldog players run off and five yard penalty replaced.
(18:28):
Second down.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
Well, we got fifteen yards in penalties already, three five
yard penalties.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
CJ.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Johnson in the ball game with Blake Johnson, Oh Enterprise
leading seven nothing with three thirty five to go here
in the first quarter, Cooper out of the shotgun. He's
got one ride receiver to the right side, single receiver
to the left side of the field. Cooper gets the snap,
hands in to c. J. Johnson, and CJ's hit right
at the forty six yard line walker turner Gavin White
side linebackers on a short two yard pickup there right now,
(19:09):
the Bulldogs trying to run outside. The quickness of Enterprise
is closing down fast on it. I have to make
some adjustments. I know, third down and long here for
the Bulldogs. Third and fifteen. Cooper out of the shotgun
with rolls here to the near side, gonna get the
(19:29):
hold on Opal like and it's incomplete and it will
probably be declined to be fourth down of the punting
situation here for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
I don't though hope it's been Blackman.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Couldn't back the Opal like of Bulldogs up some We'll
see he is waving the decline it so it'll be
fourth down. That was a very blatant obvious hole. One
of those offensive lineman got whipped right off the bat
on the line of scrimmage and almost had to tackle
the defender for Enterprise at punning time as Reese Beisa
will come out on the field, so Opal Likea's defense
is gonna have to come out and do a much
better job than the on that opening drive. His Enterprise
(20:00):
march to eighty yards down and scored. And the Bulldog's
offense really sloppy and unable to get much going here
on their opening drive. As the Bulldogs trail seven nothing
here with two point fifty to.
Speaker 6 (20:10):
Go in the first quarter, got no running game whatsoever.
They whipping us right now.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, this is an Enterprise team that let Dothan score
on every single possession. Punted it down at the eleven
yard line. Great coverage down field by the Bulldog punt team.
They knocked the defender there for Enterprise or turnman for
Enterprise down in his tracks and it will be first
down and ten for the Wildcats at around the eleven
(20:37):
yard line.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Now we're gonna have to get a stop here, Van.
Speaker 6 (20:40):
You don't want to let it team, this team get
up like they did last week, like Dothan did at home.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
No, you certainly can't. We'll get down and check in
with Mac McCracken as soon as we have an opportunity
to for our very first four seasons Federal Credit Union
shideline report. And hadn't been able to get Mac yet tonight,
but they've already had seventeen plays. Been a fast start here.
Wild Cats start first intent from their on twelve inside
hand off and busted through the line of scrimmage was
Reese and stays on his feet up close to the
(21:07):
twenty one yard line, so a good run close to
him nine yards. Braydon Howard comes up, makes the stop
and there's an injured player down on the field for
the Bulldog. So time out on the field sething nothing
left here in the first quarter, Enterprise with the lead
to twenty seven to go, and we'll be right back
if this time out you're listening to Bulldog football on
(21:28):
the kicker Tray Stone injured Bulldog coming off the field,
and certainly one of those players has been huge for
the Bulldogs of late, and that's a spot that's kind
of thin right now. Linepacker with Leakedrick Burk's already out.
Trey Stone has been a guy that's really stepped up
(21:50):
and been playing good of late. And we'll see the
Bulldogs get some substitutions in as Darius Coats Soyfobore will
check into play linebacker now for the Bulldogs segging out
in short, got two yards to go for the first down?
Wildcats with there on twenty one yard line, quick inside,
(22:11):
give again, Reese boy, he's just blowing through the line
and he is up close to the thirty yard line
for a pickup a close to nine yards and it'll
be enough for a Wildcat first down.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
They got twenty plays and five first.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Downs right now, so they'll say he got the thirty
yard line. It'll be first and ten Wildcats. So right
now this Enterprise team is playing like a team that
is with their hair on fire. After the play, there
was a flag.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
What was that man?
Speaker 2 (22:43):
See down the field?
Speaker 1 (22:44):
Mac McCracken with a sideline report man Wood was pided there.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
See yep, we got you.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah, okay, I'm not sure all right, Ay, oh.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
It wouldn't be a face mask. That'd have been a
fifteen yard if it was throw to backfield. That was
read nicely by the Bulldogs. Not much there at all.
They have lost a couple of yards back around the
thirty three yard line. Shul it'll be second down and
around eleven now coming up here for the Wildcats. They
lead seven to nothing, just one forty left in the
(23:17):
first quarter of play, and the Wildcats from they're on
thirty three yard line, second in eleven though split two
wide receivers out to the left, single receiver to the
right side. Burt Hart, the quarterback out of the shotgun
backside pressure coming gets rid of it, throws and it
has caught for a first down out of hounds at
around the forty six yard line. Thirteen yard pickup and
they first down will fault on the reception there for
(23:41):
the Wildcats, and again, Burt Cart, you give him time.
He's good enough and experienced enough. He is going to
find somebody open down field.
Speaker 6 (23:48):
I'll tell her that you're stuck enough.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
This argument col kurk Cart has gone to the guardian
helmet here from his own forty five yard line, throws
out in the flat's fault, has its stiff arm to
defender and down the sidelines. There's a flag down at
the forty yard line, and you would imagine that is
in the range of a hole. But it looks like
Enterprise saying face mask on Opalaikah. We'll wait and see
(24:12):
what the white hat says. If that's a face mask,
it's a fifteen yarder on Opalaika. My white hat heads
towards the Enterprise sidelines, talks to the side judge. We'll see.
I didn't see them. I really didn't see anybody downfield.
That could have been a hold on. It looks like
it's going to go against Opelikaen. That's going to be
a backbreaker after a long run. It is a face
(24:35):
mask on Opelaika, that's going to be a fifteen yard penalty.
And right now Bulldog's in danger zone with Enterprise leading
seven nothing here with one sixteen to go in the
first quarter, and a fifteen yard are tacked on after
that long run there by fault down the sidelines are
Kenyan Kilo rather I should say number five for the
Wildcats inside the thirty down to the twenty eight yard line,
(24:58):
the line of scrimmage. Now, Bulldog defense, it's got to
come up with a stop here as Wildcat's trying to
take a two score lead here on the road. Three
receivers to the left side. Burke Hart quickly goes to
the line of scrimmage to change his play and Burt
Hart now checks the sidelines and Jarrell Reese, the tailback,
will line up to his left. Under a minute to
(25:19):
go here in the first quarter. Burke Hart gets the stamp,
it'll be a handoff to Reese, try to find some
runner him down the side lines. He's inside the ten,
inside the five, and he is in the end zone
for the Wildcat touchdown. There's an offfitsive lineman down and
I believe we got a flag down on the play
and there's a hold against Enterprise, so it is coming back.
(25:42):
So hold the phones on that one. And we saw
number seventy one, one of the big linemen there for
Enterprise standing by the official, and that was never a
good sign for Enterprise. So Bulldogs needed that one right now.
As Jerrell Reese boy hit the sidelines and he was
off to the races. We that touched down White off
the board thanks to a holding penalty forty eight seconds
(26:03):
to go here in the first quarter. Enterprise already leading
seven to nothing, and after that penalty, the light of
scrimmage will be the thirty seven yard line. First down
and long here for the Wildcats. Two receivers right now,
they'll bring a man in motion and fake the snap
to the motion man.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Don't see that very often, and.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
We'll see Burt Cart check the sidelines, cakes Blackman the
full back to the light of scrimmage to the left
of Burt Cart. Quarterback drops back, got time, stepped up
in the pocket and gotta be wrapped up. Sacked down
at the thirty nine yard line by Isaiah Gray comes
in there and drops down burn Cart. A good sack
there by Gray, and it'll be second down in long
(26:42):
the junior comes up with a big sack number fifteen
in there for the Bulldogs. Good news tray Stone in
the ballgame. He was out for just a few ployees
and back in the ball game, so he's been back
out playing for the Bulldogs. Good to see him back.
Second down and long here for the Wildcats. At the
Opalika thirty nine yard line. Burke Hart with two wides
(27:08):
to the right side, trips receivers to the left. Burkhart
taking his time, and he's gonna let the first quarter
expire here at Wildcat Stadium.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
So we'll head to the.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Second corner with Enterprise leading seven and nothing, and we'll
be right back after this time out. You listen to
Bulldog football here on the kicker. Welcome back here to
Wildcat Stadium. Van Riggs lastside, coach, Spence McCracken. Matt McCracken,
(27:43):
rumin our sidelines, and Jason Lee beside us here spinting
and engineering. Let's head down for a four seasons Federal
Credit Union sideline report.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
Mac.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Thank you, Van, Hey, Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 8 (27:52):
Look, you know, first quarter right there, we wanted to
come out, you know, strong and early, but you know,
we just got hit in the mouth and basically, you know,
they're gashing us run in it where you know, missing tackles,
so they're they're running out us. Pretty good defense offensively
against us. We've got to make some adjustments here and offensively,
like you know, Pop said, you know we're gonna be
able to run the football and then open up some
(28:13):
passing games, but yeah, we got we gotta step it.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Up here, boys, all right, thank you Mac. Wildcats here
to open up the second quarter, second down and long
close the second and twenty from the thirty nine yard line.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
I'll give it up.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Quarterback will fake it, runs up the middle in a
huge hole and he has got the twenty two yard
line for close to right, a seventeen yard pick up.
I'm gonna be short of the first down, but it's
gonna be third and short yard line. Samel Griffin was
on the stop for the Bulldogs out of the twenty
(28:47):
one yard line. There's an official time out. I think
they're running measure all right, offensive lineman, I believe with
equipment problem there knee pad issue. I think are he hurt?
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Oh? It is he hurt?
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Now to the twenty one yard line is the Wildcats.
This will be a third down and four. It looks
like for Enterprise.
Speaker 6 (29:16):
Need to get a stop here. Don't let them, don't
don't let them get this first down.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
I'll tell you it's four down territory here for the Wildcats.
You know, down to the twenty one of o Polaika.
Third down and four Wildcats with two receivers to the
right side. Burke Cart the quarterback out of the shotgun.
Burke Hart gets the stamps straight hand off and.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
A nice stop at the back field.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Isaiah Grave brings down Reese for a loss on the plane.
It'll be fourth down, and we will see what coach
Ben Blackman decides to do here into this stiff win.
He would be kicking it into the win or with
the win, rather not into it. God, He's gonna keep
the offense out on the field here down on day
twenty four yard line. Although Polaka, he'll be a down
(30:00):
in five coming up here and burk Heart will go
under center. He'll here bring a man in motion, and
if Burkhart will throw, they're gonna go. Trick play down
film caught inside the Stix touchdown Wildcats Brandon Cook on
the reception. You could see it coming a mile away.
You knew something up Ben Blackman's sleeve. He is the
(30:23):
trick play master, and he pulls one out there and
he hits Brandon Cook for a twenty four yard touchdown
and the Wildcats looking to go up two scores here
on open like on a fourth down and five wide
receiver throw.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Coach into the top point.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
After here's roacha for the extra point. It is up
and it is good. Wildcats with a two score lead
here at home over the open likek of Bulldog's fourteen
nothing with ten forty eight to play, and we're right
back after this time at your listen open like a
bulldog football.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
On ninety seven point seven kicker.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
FM Wildcat Kent goes out of bounds and that will
be a penalty flag on the Wildcats. We'll see if
coach decides to back them up here and rekick. I
think he will. Jose Rocha kicking into a cross wind
(31:23):
right now, kind of with the crosswind, I guess. But coach,
I'm cracking you down fourteen to nothing on the road here,
and you need to answer quickly here in the ople
like I wanted the football to start the second half,
but right now, you know, Enterprise is just playing with
a lot more HEIGHTE.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
Yeah, we're not doing anything good. I mean, I'm just
I'm gonna tell you the way it is. We're not
running the ball, we're not throwing the ball, and we're
dang we'll not playing good defense.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Here is a squib kick on the ground. It's going
to be off sides on the Wildcats though, is it
dropped down around the thirty two yard line before the
Bulldogs could pick it up. That was blowing well dead.
So I think Coach Brian, we're going to back them
up again. Appreciate those watching. Is also on WTM TV tonight.
They picked up our broadcast Coach McCracken, so on the
(32:11):
TV side tonight and hopefully.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Now they got twenty nine snaps to our eight.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
So now Roach a little or kicking from the thirty
yard line now, And this is something that Coach Moore
and the team really puts a lot of emphasis in
during the week of special teams and taking advantage of
these situations. See if opal I can get a good
return here, Roach, you're probably going to go with a
swip kick again here ten forty eight to play and
(32:40):
it pops at the forty yard line. Bulldogs pick it
up at around the forty five and out of bounds
at around midfield and a good return for opel Iko.
Speaker 6 (32:52):
Now we've only run the ball four times Van for
six for eight yards.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
Leave Jordan waits on the what we got return there
for Bulldogs?
Speaker 2 (33:02):
What Wakes comes in the game along with C. J. Johnson.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Two tailbacks here for Opelik and Bulldogs. A good field
position coach, and this is where you need to take
advantage of it. Here down fourteen, nothing in the ball
right at midfield to start right at the fifty yard line.
Dogs moving from right to left to the open end
zone here at Wildcats Stadium. Cooper gets the snamp fakes
that throws out here to Jalen Washington, and his knee
(33:27):
was down when he went to catch it at the
forty forty six yard line, So the Bulldog's gonna lose
yardage on that one back to the forty six yard line.
So a four yard loss now to be second and fourteen,
and good.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Gracious springs up second and fourteen.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Young will split out wide to the right side and
single receiver here to the near side of the field.
Now the Bulldogs will bring a man in motion from
left to right. Handoff goes to Blake Johnson trying to
get something going with the hammer, and he gets close
to the midfield worker but just gets back up to
(34:08):
the forty nine. Gonna set up a third down and
eleven for enterprise or for the Opelika enterprise. Right now,
they've been playing with their hair on fire from the
get go tonight, certainly laying with the team that backs
are against the wall right now. Ople likes going to
(34:30):
have to get it together here on the road down
two scores, and now it's a third and eleven near
midfield Bulldogs from their own forty nine yard line. Cooper
drops back, flushed out of the pocket, looks down field,
will tuck and run, and he's popped down at the
Wildcat forty nine yard line and a short pick up
there for win Cooper. It's going to be fourth down
in ten and bunting team tries out here for the Bulldogs,
(34:51):
and Reese Beasley will try to pin the Wildcats back deep.
So Bulldogs picked up one positive yard on that series,
actually two down to the enterprise forty eight yard line.
So here's Reese Beasley to punt it away deep men
for the Wildcats. Stands up around a ten yard line.
(35:14):
Kenyon Kilo easily with a high hanging punt and it
will hit down at the fifteen yard line. It'll take
an open like a roll down around the eleven yard line,
so that's where the Wildcats will start. We'll see a
coach Massey's defensive group can come out and any adjustments
have been able to make as Enterprise has been able
(35:34):
to move the ball down the field. They converted a
fourth down on a trick play for their last score
on a fourth and five, and their starting field position
now will be their on twelve yard line. Berk Cart
will bring the troops out first and ten for the
Wildcats eight forty two to play. Here in the first half,
(36:00):
Cats on eleven yard line. As Burt Hard out of
the shotgun, here one was one tail back to his left.
That's Darien Buford, quarterback. Will try to keep it though,
run and left, broke two tackles and finally got him
down as it crossed the fifteen yard line up around
the sixteen, but they're gonna give him close to the
eighteen yard line. Goodness, six yard pick up there for
(36:29):
Burke Hard as he was had two defenders in the backfield.
Seck it down in four for the Wildcats from their
on eighteen Burkhart's with trips receivers to the right side.
Beauford is the tail back to the right of Burt Hart,
and quick hand off to Buford breaks a tackle twenty
(36:50):
five thirty down the sidelines thirty five forty and Bulldog
defender twisted down around to the twenty yard line and
no flag thrown on that with Antonius Peters on the stop,
but Huford gets to the forty yard line a twenty
two yard pickup and a wildcap first down and an
(37:12):
injured player down on the far side of the field
for Opalaika.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Looks like Antonius Peters.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
The one who made that tackle, banged up, and we
will see Leland Bell, who plays some wide receiver in defense.
We'll check in the ball game to replace him off
with Peters is okay? Training staff looking at his shoulder,
looks like as he comes off the field, seven fifty
three to play first half of it's enterprise leading fourteen
(37:39):
nothing here on their home field, and we got seven
to fifty three to play left here in the first half,
Peter's taking his time coming off the field and oh
he's okay. Well, we could use a turnover here, coach mccrast.
Speaker 6 (37:53):
They got thirty one steps right now to our eleven.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Central and a Carver tight at Fourteenn Gummery of Battle
two teams that are undefeated in Region playing seven a
Region two bird card out of the shotgun from his
own forty yard line, fakes it throws here in near
side to Keilo across the forty five cross midfield. Kilo
broke another tackle and stays on his feet and Kelo
all the way down to the thirty five of Opalaika.
(38:18):
That's a twenty five yard pickup. And right now Enterprise
looking like the number one team in the nation. They
have not made a mistake.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
Nope.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Right we have a bulldog defense, a team that held
at Dothan to fourteen points last week, and remember us
Dothan offense came down here and put up sixty nine
points on this Enterprise team. But playing like a different
team tonight. Handoff in the backfield's Buford, you got to
be hit down and cutting down. There's a flag on
the play, Isaiah Gray on the stop.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
That's the holding penalty.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Yeah, should be it around the thirty one yard line
where the tackle was made, like Beauford had close to
six yards. But we'll wait for the white hat to
officially come in to make the call. Seven O eight
to play here in the first half, it is a
hold against the Wildcats.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Matt McCracken was the scene down on the sidelines.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
I'm sure a lot of conversation working with that offense
right now.
Speaker 8 (39:15):
Yeah, that frustration, van would be the key word. Frustration, Mack.
You probably called the trick play, didn't you.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Yeah. Absolutely, he's one for three. You got gig. He's
gonna run two more, all.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Right, first and long here first and twenty for the
Wildcats backed up now at the forty five of vocal
Like after that penalty, they'll bring a man in motion.
Burke Hart checks the sidelines, changing his play f lake
Lock down to four, down to three, got to get
the snaff away, down to two, down to one.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Just got it away. Burt Cart drops back, throws.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Out of the flats, and Gauffort's wrapped up right at
midfield by Norman Matthews. He sniffed that one out and
a loss of five yards on the play, and then
will he's second down in a mile coming up now
for the wildc It's good defensive flay head very nicely
there by Norman Matthews. It'll be second down and twenty
(40:15):
five right at midfield. Now the Wildcats there loading everybody
to the right side of the field at least. Now trips.
It'll be a five wide. Look now two wide receivers
of the left side. Play light down to seven, down
to six Han in motion from right to left, and
we'll give it to the motion man Noe purk Caark
keeps it. The quarterback got outside and tackled down Shy
(40:36):
of the thirty five to the thirty six for fourteen yards.
On that quarterback scamper. It'll still set up a third
and plus ten play for the Wildcats, all right. At
third and ten, five point fifty two remaining in the
first half, it'll be a third and eleven play for
the Wildcats. And gotta imagine Coach Blackman's going four down
(40:57):
territory again. Here now at the Bulldog third six yard
lock two wives right single res.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Ever to the left side.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
Burt Cart gets the snap, quarterback drops backs, got time,
bumped now inside wants to scramble, shut her steps and
lunged ahead close to the thirty one yard line. He
picked up five yards when just about nothing was there.
Money Thomas on the stop for the Bulldogs. It's gonna
be a round a fourth and six coming up here
for the Wildcats. They need the twenty yard line for
(41:26):
the first down line of scrimmage of thirty one Bulldog
crowd in there, Fick Mike McCracken saying, coach, watch out
for an up trick. Play five nineteen Flock continues to
run play clock down under twenty as burke Hart will
line up two receivers to the right, two receivers to
the left. Bulldog crowd gets the cow Bills going in
(41:47):
there on their feet. Burk Hart empties the backfield here
on fourth down, burk Cart drops back throws its colt
at the twenty five yard line. Wrapped up though, and
gonna be right at the first down marker. I think
they're gonna Mark come short though, Yes, Markham Jordan at
the twenty one yard line and not enough for the
first down, and the Bulldog.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
Defense is gonna come up with.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
A huge, much needed stop down fourteen nothing. Coach Brian
Moore with a big clamp of a fist pump and
he tries to encourage that offense as they come out
on the field here with four fifty to go. A
score here before halftime. Coach McCracken will be huge with
opal like an getting the football to start the second half.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
We've got twelve yards of offense in the first half
so far, running the.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
Ball then you figure right now, for like, I'll be
able to run, and you know coach More wants to
get that run game going.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
Yeah, they're just whipping us. Let's see if we can
get something going.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
All right, Cooper out of the shotgun, drives back, wants
to throw, got it to Andre Van at the thirty
Van makes a man miss cut up at the thirty five.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
He's up to the thirty six yard line.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
They'll mark him down at the thirty five though, for
a nine yard pickup and close to a first down.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Cooper's completes.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
So Andre Van with the reception, scheck it down in
one four twenty eight to go. First half again, Bulldogs
trail here fourteen nothing on the road at enterprise two
wide receivers to the right. Cooper out of the shot
gun and it gets the snamp hands the ball off.
This is Blake Johnson, and Blake hit right at the
line of scrimmage. But he got a nice surge up
to the thirty six yard line. That'll be enough for
(43:22):
the first down. Just picked up one yard the yard
he needed for a lamberate transfer in storage first down.
Haven't said that much tonight where the Bulldogs needed one.
There clock stout with four o nine to go here
in the second quarter, and you know when it gets
tough sled and you put Blake Johnson in there, you
feel like you can get the yard you need now.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
CJ.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
Johnson, another big tailback for the Bulldogs, lined up behind
Cooper with trips receivers to the right side. Hand off
goes to CJ. And CJ hit breaking tackles across the
forty up to the forty one yard line.
Speaker 6 (43:57):
We got to go a little faster van that was
five yards here of the Bulldogs. We have three forty
left to Johnson.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
So you feel like if you can get the ground
game going, coach, that may open up that pan game
a little bit more. Ye Bulldogs will line up two
wide receivers to the left, sink a receiver to the right,
Cooper out of the shotgun as Jordan Waits checks in
the ballgame with drops back hands the ball to Wait's
actually Jalen Nelson. A flag comes in the ballgame, so
(44:27):
Jalen Nelson quickly comes to the ball game, carries it
up to the forty one yard line and it's like
a holding penalty against the Bulldogs and that will back
open like us and again starting back behind the chains.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Fifty yards and penalties in the first.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Half on US, so tough flag they're against Opelaika, gonna
back it up around the thirty yard line, will be
the thirty one now the line of scrimmage coach mentioned
the time third, three nineteen to go here is all
(45:03):
we got in the first half, and wit Cooper will
go under center now on a second down in long
play Bulldogs from there on thirty one yard line, and
a whistle stops the play. That must be a shift,
I guess against Opalaika. And have you ever sived your penalty?
And back the Bulldogs up five more yards. But just
when you get going now you're backed up to the
twenty six yard line, and add the ball up around
(45:25):
the forty six yard line, and just like that, two
penalties and you're backed up to the twenty fourth secure
second down in long close to twenty yards to go
here for the Bulldogs. Three oh three to go here
in this first half, Dogs down fourteen nothing. Cooper out
(45:45):
of the shotgun see j Johnson the tailback, and with
gets the snap, drops back, throws one deep down field.
He's got Jalen caught inside the forty jaling inside the
twenty five and he's down around.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
The twenty three yard line.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
A huge transfer in storage first down, and what a
throw from Win Cooper as he hooked up with Jalen
Washington down to the twenty two yard line for a
fifty two yard throw and a Lambert transfer in storage.
First down. Boy, the Bulldogs needed that one, Coach McCracken. Yes, sir,
Dogs will hurry the line of scrimmage at the twenty
(46:20):
two of enterprise.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
Cooper hand off to CJ. Johnson.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
Hit right at the line of scrimmage and just nothing
doing there right in the middle of that defense. Second
down in ten again upcoming here for the Bulldogs. They
picked up one yard down to the twenty one. I
look like op our enterprise rather was thinking run, run, run,
(46:46):
and Bulldogs go to the air for the big pass.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
C J.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
Johnson again the tailback. They'll fake it went throws contree.
Van's got it inside the five and he is down
to the two. Right at the one. They'll mark him
down for a huge throw. Go to that passing game,
coach McCracken. Bulldogs down to the one, a twenty yard
throwing strike and a Lambert transfer in storage. First down,
first and gold Bulldogs at the one really good pass
(47:14):
from which Cooper two huge passes on this drive to
set this up. I formation, you got Blake Johnson and CJ. Johnson,
Johnson and Johnson duo in the backfield. Cooper gets the
hand off and a flag and this will be and
it looks like maybe off sides against could be off sides.
It is off sides against enterprise good oh Polaika. Of
(47:38):
course fans were all with a big aggravated side thinking
it was a false start if it was off size.
Not much closer you can put the football to where
it is right now, those of the football almost at
the white pain of the goal line here, Mack McCracken.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
Pretty close, aren't we, sir?
Speaker 7 (47:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (47:57):
You bout five inches from the goal line.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
All right.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
One at thirty to go here in the ball in
the first half of play, and again whit Cooper goes
under center here with an eye formation, quick hand off
to Blake Johnson. It is hammer time in the wire
ress touchdown Bulldogs fourteen to six, and here comes Reees
Besley for the point after with one nineteen to play
(48:24):
here in the second quarter, and remember opehaikah, we'll get
the football also to start the second half, so a
huge score and you leave the Wildcat still some time
and not much time.
Speaker 2 (48:35):
One nineteen.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
Reece Besa will be kicking into a pretty hefty win
here for this extra point, but certainly plenty of plenty
of leg here for Reese Beasley eighteen for twenty two
on the seasons on Pat's whit Cooper also serves as
the holder, and the extra point is up and good
scoring drive power by our friends and Opelaca Power Services,
Hometown people working for you online and ophiaka power Dom.
(49:00):
Fourteen seven our score, one nineteen to play here in
the second quarter, you us know, like a bulldog football
on the kicker back here in the wiregrass in enterprise,
and right now some rains starting to fall here in enterprise,
(49:22):
which is certainly not a good situation for us at all.
Where this came from as we were outside here the
fourth Peede Clinic broadcast booth tonight and a strong end
over end kick sales into the back of the end zone.
One nineteen to play and certainly hope this is short lived.
(49:44):
Fourteen seven our score. There was no chance of rain
inside at all.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
Here tonight.
Speaker 6 (49:49):
Oh, that's exactly what that mister weatherman said.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
A little bit of go no rain, and we still
have no rain showing up here. Maybe that'll hurd enterprise
a little bit on this drive. Wildcats will come out
here with the football one nineteen to play and Opeleaika
(50:12):
trails by a touchdown here fourteen to seven. Wildcats with
the football from their on twenty yard line turnst on
ten Burkhart five wide.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Look, he'll throw.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
Here to the near side of the field and out
of bounds at around the twenty nine yard line.
Speaker 6 (50:30):
Ridiculous. I was hoping we could use those timeouts right here. Van.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Yeah, that was a first town throwing catch up to
the thirty yard line, and it'll be.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
First in ten.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
Wildcats when they're on thirty yard line. That steady mister
rain continues to drop here at Wildcats Stadium.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Burkecart rolls far side.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
Of the field and that one under throw almost interceptive
by Opelanka the thirty nine yard line by Norman Matthews
looking at chatty yard line. One ten to play, fourteen
(51:19):
to seven. Again our score and the clock style for
that incomplete pass. Wildcats will have it from their own
thirty yard line, second down in ten.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
And drop it back.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
Is Kirk car coach far side of the field throws
and it is caught at the thirty four yard line
and brought down at the forty one yard line. And
a time out here taken by Enterprise. So we'll step
aside time out on the field one oh two to
play your listen, No like a bulldog football.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
Here on the kicker.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
Out of the timeout, quarterback Burke Cart will keep it
up across the forty five out of the forty six
yard line. It will be a first down for the Wildcats.
Is we're trying to stay right here, we're at the bleachers.
There's no chance of rain at sight, and it is
starting to a steady down four here on us tonight.
Burk Hart out of the shotgun, drops back from his
(52:16):
forty six yard line, takes a shot deep down field
and it is incomplete and Enterprise one of the flag
is well overthrown as it was intended for.
Speaker 2 (52:27):
Will fault.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
Incomplete and it will be second down at ten again.
Wildcats are there on forty six thirty eight seconds remaining.
Speaker 6 (52:41):
Four.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
Now you got to get a pressure.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
Running bulldogs trying to get a late player off. They
just get them off and burk Cart out of the
shotgun drops back here on second down throws saying it
is incomplete knocked away by Norman Matthews up the forty
five yard line.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Good stopped there by the Bulldogs.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
It will be third down and ten again the Wildcats
for their on forty six yard line here with thirty
four seconds to go.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
Stop from here, Van maybe block a punt.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Rushing three two wides to the right side and two
wide receivers of the left side, and Enterprise will take
a time out here with thirty four seconds to go.
Fourteen to seven is our score, and we'll be back
right after this.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker hut
of the time out.
Speaker 1 (53:32):
Wildcats have thirty four seconds to work with from their
own forty six yard line. Here's a third down play Wildcats.
Burghart drops back throws one down the sidelines. Kolp stayed
in bounds at around the thirty five yard line, and
that is where they'll say he went out of bounds.
Wide receiver number seventeen, Brandon Cook on the reception there
(53:53):
for the Wildcats with a big catch.
Speaker 3 (53:56):
This guy's a good quarterback. We have to pressure him.
Speaker 1 (53:59):
Yeah, he's got it down to the thirty five first
down and they're trying to get down and put on
another score. Here with thirty twenty eight seconds to go here,
I think Wildcat's still with one time out remain.
Speaker 3 (54:10):
We rush three that time.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
To white outs either side. Burt Cart at the thirty
five Opalaika Wildcats lead fourteen to seven in the closing
seconds here burn Cart drops back, he's in trouble, throws
it away. That should be grounding and right now there
is a flag and they're going to get a flag
I think on Opalaika on a late hit on Burkhart
(54:34):
by coach Brian Moore thinking it was a grounding call.
But I think it's going to be a call against
Opalaika on a hit on the quarterback and much to
the displeasure of Opalaika quarterback was throwing it away and
(55:02):
no flag for the grounding. It looks like it's gonna
be the fifteen yarder against Opealaika and coach Bryan Moore
having a word with the side judge here.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
Back here, if Enterprise gets.
Speaker 1 (55:16):
The first down on the roughing, the passer penalty to
throw back across the field, almost intercepted by Opelikah Trey
Stone near leaked dip.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
He's going to be short. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
Blake looked like he got a good surge there at
the end. I don't think he's got enough though. He
didn't get the spot. Oh he's short. Yeah, that was
an offensive lineman that was actually down. So the Enterprise
will have it at the Opelaika thirty nine yard line
and it'll be first and ten Wildcats. So a tough
break there. Yeah, with the downpour, Enterprise new fourth and short.
(55:49):
It's going to be a run there.
Speaker 7 (55:50):
And they saw Tank Johnson in the game at the
full pack position and put ten guys there in the
box and just couldn't pick it up there. Enterprise does
have astroid, so we won't have a lot of puddles.
It's just gonna be very slick to keep you footing. Yeah,
it's very slick turf too, it's very thin. Burke hard
out of the shotgun for the Wildcats at the thirty
nine of Opalaika. They'll give it to Reese and Ree
(56:12):
slips a tackle inside the thirty five. He's down to
around the thirty three yard line. Of Opelaikah got close
to seven yards ten for thirteen remaining here as we've rank,
continues to pour here at wild Kent Stadium. Yeah, and
even if the rain quits, which we're hoping it does
here in the next couple of minutes, that's not gonna
do anything to the field. So this is gonna be
a rushing battle here on the ground by both teams.
(56:34):
The team that makes the most stops on the ground
is gonna win this game.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
Here at the thirty three yard line, second down in
four for Opalaika they'll bring a man in motion, they'll
hand it to reach the tailback. He's hitting the back fields,
bends around and tries to bust it outside and he's
gotten hit dropped at the twenty nine yard line and
gonna have a first down Opalaikah. Coaching staff rushing on
the field thinking there was a hold there lead on
(56:58):
that one, but it's gonna be a first down on
Wildcats inside the thirty down at the opal likea twenty
eight yard line, nine forty to play in the third
quarter again, Wildcats leading fourteen to seven.
Speaker 7 (57:10):
Yeah, in these conditions, the advantage is going to be
the running back. If he's able to cut back with
no defenders on him right away. It's very hard for
the defender to make that cut and go with him.
So a great job there by the enterprise running back.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
All right, they'll bring a wide receiver in motion and
they'll give it to the motion man. He's head at
the twenty five, bounced outside, and that looks like there
will be a hold on that play on the Wildcat.
So this one should be coming back. Nine thirty two
to go, So nine thirty two to play. Here in
(57:46):
the third quarter, Wildcats again leading fourteen seven Bulldogs.
Speaker 2 (57:49):
Opening drive of the.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
Game came with a steady down pour, and Opalaika tried
to go for it and enterprise with the football here,
trying to make the Bulldogs pay. But a big holding
penalty will back things up. Hopefully that'll give the Bulldogs
some momentum. Here fourteen seven Wildcats with the lead, trying
(58:13):
to stretch their lead. Here on Opalaika out of the
shotgun formation is burke hard. He'll bring a man in
motion from right to left. They'll give it this is
tail back right, bounce at it outside. Well, he stayed
in bounds and got down in cloth of the twenty
six yard line. That was Darren Buford on the kerry,
(58:36):
and I did not pick up a first down, but
got back the penalty yardage and then some. It'll be
around a second and eight as the Wildcats have it
down to the up like a twenty six yard line,
and this will be a second down and eight coming
up here for the Wildcats.
Speaker 7 (58:49):
Yeah, and you can see coach Ben Blackman's philosophy here.
He wants to run that thing to the outside and
see if our linebackers can slutch through this ring to
get out there and stop it.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
Man in motion again from right to left for the Wildcats.
Give it back to Buford inside and Buford's down one
maybe two yards down to the twenty two yard line.
This will set up a third down and around six
maybe five yards to go here for the Wildcats.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
It's like a third and six.
Speaker 1 (59:23):
Well, we welcome the fact to Wildcats, say up here
Van Riggs alongside Jason Lee. We do apologize. And the
good news is I keep a fingers crossed. This rain
is going to stop. It has killed us. We've had
a short here on our equipment and trying to keep
on the air here and bring you open like a
football here on ninety seven point seven kicker FM. Right
(59:44):
now it's twenty one seven. The bad news while we're away,
Enterprise was able to punch it in with a short field.
Mason Herkhard was able to cap off a run and
the Bulldogs do have the football now Opalika down twenty
one seven before twenty six to play and out of
the shotgun formation as with Cooper, Cooper drops back. It'll
be Jillen Nelson checking in the ball game and running back.
(01:00:04):
And Nelson is hit at the forty nine, but does
what he does so well, let's continue to push the
pile up around the fifty yard line. We need to
get a score here quick, Van, Yes we do, coach mccracktor.
Speaker 6 (01:00:15):
That just that killed us right there. You know we
went three and out the first time we had the
ball and in the second half, so we get we
can by no more mistakes. We got to take this
one in and score if we want to get back
in this day.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
Wait, Cooper r out of the shot down here second
out in six, here's a good run by Nelson. Nelson
carries it down to the forty five and down to
the forty four yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Brick blocking.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
A good job there. Jalen Nelson.
Speaker 6 (01:00:53):
Bason had a good block over it right tackle te
On that one.
Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
Rain has stopped here for the moment at Wildcats Stadium.
We certainly hope it stays that way and we can
continue to bring you this ballgame. Here hit right at
the line of scrimmage was Jordan Waits Waits hemmed up
there at the forty five yard line, three thirteen to
go here in the third quarter, twenty one seven opal
I could try to answer down two scores again here
(01:01:20):
to the Wildcats of enterprise and Big Blake the hammer.
Johnson is up on the line of it's with Cooper
out of the shotgun, standing around midfield to get this stamp.
A quick throw picked off. Here comes the Wildcats down
the sidelines, a disaster inside the ten five touchdown.
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
They pick stick with the Wildcats.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
They go up twenty eight car twenty seven to seven
here with two forty nine to play in the third quarter.
Cooper just with one interception, really just throwing it into
the end zone last week by that one a picked
six here with two forty nine to go in this
third quarter, disasters play thereby.
Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
Yeah the bull Dykes.
Speaker 6 (01:02:03):
Good play by enterprise and he tied that thing and
knew he was gonna throw it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Yeah, I read that one, coach, you definitely hit that
one on the head there he did. Twenty seven to
seven our score and a enterprise right now. Oh, and
foreign Region play. They're playing like one of the better
teams we've seen all season. And roacha for the Wildcats
(01:02:30):
for the extra point Jose Roache to forty nine to
play in the third quarter in the extra point attempt
coming up here for the Wildcats extra point hump and
good Wildcats take a twenty eight to seven lead here
with two forty nine to play in the third quarter,
and you're listening noble like a bulldog football here on
(01:02:52):
the kicker back here Wild Kent Stadium, Van Rigg alongside
coach Hitch mccracking Matt but I could run on our sidelines,
but our audio feed to Mac is not working at
the moment, so we'll try to get back down to
Mac here coming up shortly and hopefully Max's equipment is
(01:03:15):
still working down there after our unexpected rainstorm here and
wild can Territory tonight in the wiregrass twenty one point
lead though for Enterprise boy, they're playing some football here tonight,
twenty eight seven and a squib kick taking down at
the forty five yard line. Good return here for Opalaika,
end up around the forty yard line and down close
to the Enterprise thirty five yard line. A really good
(01:03:37):
return there for the Bulldogs. And that was Jacoby Jackson
there on the return for Opalaika.
Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
The feeder coming out.
Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
If let's go all right, Mack, you got us down
on the sidelines.
Speaker 8 (01:03:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I had a little rain down poor
then then we're vanl yes, sir, we're back on though.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Well, I'm glad your weather report was okay, hold it
all for us? Okay, a little right had the thirty
five yard line. O like of a good field position.
Not out of this thing, but an uphill battle to
climb here down twenty one points, twenty eight to seventh.
Score here with two thirty five to play in the
third corps got to make every possession count. Now, if
you're opal like and you got to start getting stops.
Wit Cooper will go under center, They'll bring a man
(01:04:15):
in motion. The quick gift is to Blake Johnson and
Johnson Harry's right at the thirty yard line. They'll bring
him down at the thirty one close to five yards
there for the hammer.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Johnson on the carry down to the thirty one yard line.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Picks the four yards at that down to the thirty
one yard line. Here's Cooper out of the shotgun. Second
down in six play for opalaika two O two to play.
Here in the third quarter, Cooper gets the snap, drives back,
(01:04:54):
taught about throwing hit, spins around, stays on his feet,
went inside the twenty five and went and got a
hit and popped down.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
At the twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Hung on that football. He's down to the eighteen yard line.
It'll be a Lambert transfer in storage first down.
Speaker 3 (01:05:07):
Good job, had to scramble, didn't have anybody open. Good play.
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth is a is a wet and
nasty one right now as we come to you from
the bleachers here at wild Cat Stadium. First and ten,
those Bulldogs at the twenty of enterprise I formation, wit
Cooper will give it to the back. That's Jordan Waits
broke one tackle and hemmed up it around the eighteen
yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:05:32):
We got to stay on our blocks up front now, like.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
You getting close to the fourth quarter here and whistle
whistles come in here by the officials. Looks like an
injury on the field. One of the Wildcat players looks
like they're down, but think everybody popped up. Sa okay, Whit.
Cooper comes up with his jersey pulled down around his
shoulder pads and will be a second down and nine
(01:05:58):
coming up here for Palaika.
Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
Come on, and clock's running.
Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
Let's go down inside the twenty down to the nineteen
yard line, wide out either side. Cooper gets the snap,
drops back play action. Cooper throws, and Andre Van says
he came up with a note, scooted out of his
hands incomplete and passed a little.
Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
Behind Andre Yeah, a little low too.
Speaker 3 (01:06:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Tough passage situations right now. Even though the rain has
stopped at the moment, it is still very wet down
on the field. And it'll be a third down and
ten coming up for Plaka. You know, four down territory
here for the Bulldogs trailing twenty eight seven one oh
two to go here in the third quarter and need
a score quickly. One tail back to the right of Cooper. Now,
Blake Johnson moves in motion from left to right. Wit
(01:06:46):
gets the snap, rolls to the right and throws one
in the.
Speaker 5 (01:06:49):
Back of the ends.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
One of the wide receiver was tackled in.
Speaker 1 (01:06:52):
There comes an interference flag as Jalen Washington was interfered
with by the defensive back. Good therefore, prize that was
Brack Sawyer on that penalty. And that will be a
fifteen yard penalty and will be enough to give opal
like a first down to the first and goal situation
after the penalty, So that will certainly help. Under a
(01:07:18):
minute to go here in the third quarter, we need
to score real quick here vance yeah, I formation here
for the Bulldogs. It will be the Johnson Johnson duo
Blake Johnson and CJ the tailback, which changes his play
at the line of scrimmage. He's under center now and
we'll get snaped handed all off to Johnson Johnson inside
the five and Johnson is.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
In the m zone for the touchdown.
Speaker 7 (01:07:41):
Ah.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
But like I needed a big answer and gets one.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
At is hammer time late in the third quarter twenty
eight thirteen, and here comes a point after a ten
by Reese Beasley, and well, anything kicking off a tee
right now.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Is not going to be automatic.
Speaker 7 (01:07:55):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
We still got plenty of time I'm telling.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
You, yeah, defense has just got to get some stops
that the Enterprise right there had the short field. So,
like you said, coach, plenty of time, try to make
this a two score game. Right now, we Cooper will
handle the holding, dude, He snap and hold very important
here wit and gets it down and the extra point
kick is up and good. Twenty eight fourteen. Dogs still
(01:08:18):
down fourteen, but a huge answer there by the Bulldog's
fifty one seconds left here in the third in your listen, noble,
like a bulldog football here on the kicker kickfielded there
at the one brought back to around the twenty four
yard line thereby the Wildcats and a return man there
(01:08:39):
for Enterprise able to get a pretty good decent return
will fault. Who's called number of passes tonight. We'll just
see what Enterprise can do. So far tonight, it's been
really on the shoulders of the quarterback Mason Burkhard, who's
been banged up most of the season, who brings the
truth back out.
Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
Yeah, this is the this is the series of the
game right here. We got it, We got it. We
have to make a stop here.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
Yep, I've got to get a stop here. Wild Cancer.
Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
They're on twenty yard line. Actually they're on twenty four
is the line of scrimmage. They lead at twenty eight
fourteen to forty four seconds left in the third low
Stampburkehart got it back and gets it to his tailback,
who busts a scene across.
Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
The forty one man to beat across ed field.
Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
He's inside the thirty yard line and he is gonna
out run the defense for a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Oil my on mine.
Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
Seventy six yards to the house there by the tailback
Darrel Reese. And with thirty two seconds left, the Wildcats
are going to make this a twenty one point game
again here with thirty two seconds remaining, nothing fancy, just
to run it right to the right side of the defense,
and Rees did the work, and he outran the defense
(01:09:55):
and busted about two or three tackles, and I thought
there was a couple of oplo like a that could
chase it down, but he put on the after burners
about the forty five yard line and no chance. Extra
point up and good And with thirty two seconds to go,
it's a thirty five to fourteen Enterprise lead here with
thirty two seconds to go in your listening. Opaka football
here on the kicker back here a while Kent Stadium,
(01:10:25):
thirty five fourteen and drel Reese on a seventy plus
yard run for a touchdown. To answer that, Opealaika score
and Jose Rocha will kick it off from right to left.
Bulleyes will have to get another quick answer here to
try to get back in with the striking distance. But defensively,
Opelika has not been able to slow down Enterprise at all.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
Tonight, coach.
Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
It can't be our offense against their offense. It's just
got it. We got it. We had to have a stop.
Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
Now there's a squib kick and Opalika not gonna fall
on it. It hits one of the Bulldogs defends. There's
no hope like it did come up with the football
boy it ricocheaded off Jake.
Speaker 3 (01:11:05):
No, that was that's good.
Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
Jorian Barry and he was able to come up with it.
I thought Enterprise came down with it. Very dangerous as
that hit the upman on the kickoff there. But the
Bulldogs will have it at the forty five Enterprise first
inten so a breakthro plike in another short field for
O Palaika and we'll see if they can get a
quick score here and answer and defense hopefully can get
(01:11:28):
some stuff worked down on the sidelines here thirty five
to fourteen, Enterprise leading Bulldogs back with the football at
the Wildcat forty five. They'll bring Blake Johnson in motion.
The handoff goes to CJ. And boy, he has hit
and he is knocked down right when he hit the
hole by Gavin Whiteside, the linebacker. These linebackers tonight for Enterprise,
they have been very impressive cure and a very small
(01:11:53):
defensive line for Enterprise, it has not had any problem
stopping the run.
Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
For o Palaik.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
It's a seconden and ten again at the forty five
of the Enterprise Cooper gets the snap. Cooper drops back,
sets fires and wants to go deep down field. And
it was incomplete intended for Andre Van. The closest person
there was actually Brack Sawyer in the secondary. That'll be
the end of the third quarter. Bulldogs will have a
third down in ten when we start the fourth quarter
(01:12:22):
here wild Cat Stadium with Enterprise leading thirty five fourteen,
and you're listening to Ope like a Bulldog football here
on the kicker. Welcome you back here to wild Cat Stadium.
We head to the fourth quarter, Bulldogs trailing by twenty
one thirty five fourteen, and right now hope like I
(01:12:43):
got to convert a third, intend to open up the
fourth quarter, and well, it take a moment here to
apologize to you for our technical difficulties today. We do
take our utmost pride in bringing you a great broadcast uninterrupted,
and certainly hate that we got caught in the middle
of an unexpected rain shower and mother nature got the
(01:13:04):
best of us for a while. But we're back here
and hopefully the Bulldogs can make a good comeback here
in the fourth quarter, we went Cooper out of the
shotgun at the forty five, Enterprise Cooper dropping back, steps
up in the pocket with is in trouble sack back
at the forty five. I didn't see anybody open down field, not.
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Sure what neither.
Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
I think they were trying to set up a screen.
It was like Wick was looking for a screen but
just could not find anybody and is gonna lose ten yards?
And you saw the offensive line coach break down the
field like that was a screenplay, but you just didn't
see Enterprise did a good job either, reading it.
Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
And making that up covered everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
Yep, back to punted away.
Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Reese Beasley stands at the thirty two yard line and
coach Ben Black mc gonn to take a time out
as the punt team hurried on the field for opalaika
and then return group there for Enterprise wasn't ready. Let's
send down for a four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report.
Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
Mac.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
I know, tough sledding right there on for the Bulldog
on that sideline, but I got a fit out a
way to maybe get a turnover here. It's just about
that time running out offensive chances.
Speaker 3 (01:14:04):
Yeah, there is right there.
Speaker 8 (01:14:05):
You know, that was a good touchdown that we answered
and then you know, gave up that backbreaker of a
seventy yard run or whatever long it was, and that was,
I mean pretty kill shot right there.
Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
But you know, courag's been by coaches.
Speaker 8 (01:14:19):
Some players going around, you know, trying to keep it
up just you know, got you gotta play it all
the way out.
Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
Just you know, you can see a lot of disappointment
on the sidelines.
Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
Yeah, there's no doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
And this is an Enterprise scene that's fighting to try
to find a crack of daylight in the playoff conversation, Opelika,
with a win tonight would have wrapped up a playoff spot,
but it is looking like it may take another game
or two to do that. With a loss tonight certainly
could put a wrinkle in everything. And Opelika right now
(01:14:48):
eleven twenty three still to go, not out of it completely,
but having to get the football now back to Enterprise
down thirty five to fourteen. Be easily stands inside the
thirty five the thirty four yard line to await this
snap from Cam Rayley.
Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Good snap.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Reese runs to his right, takes his time, but it's
a high boot into this one, a fair catch called
for at the twenty and Calton hauled in there by
the Wildcats and Enterprise will start for their twenty yard line.
Only took him one play their last time out to
break that seventy yard run. There By Jarrell Reese around
a seventy four yard run and Wildcats will start for
(01:15:27):
their own twenty yard line.
Speaker 2 (01:15:28):
Eleven fifteen to go.
Speaker 6 (01:15:30):
You know you got to give Enterprise though, no doubt
about the coach boy, he have really played good tonight,
Damn have not had turnovers?
Speaker 1 (01:15:38):
If not well, if you never if you didn't know anything, coach,
and you came to this game, watching the ball game,
you think Enterprise is the better team.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
I mean they played like it tonight, so it's no
doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
Trips to the right side, Burt Cart quick hand off
to the tailback and trying to find some runner room outside.
That was a good tackle by Kayden Harris at around
the twenty one yard line. If he got a yard,
that was good pursuit there By the defense, Enterprise is
going to be content to slow this game down. Now,
run and run some clock here. Eleven minutes to go
in the ballgame. Wildcat's lead at thirty five to fourteen.
(01:16:11):
Well to thank the Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth, East Alabama's
go to center for orthopedic care. Been a rough go
in the Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth here tonight. Appreciate Terry
Rosenthal and their sponsorship of Bulldog football. Ten thirty eight
to play in the ballgame. Wildcat's up thirty five to
(01:16:32):
fourteen over the Bulldogs. Burkhart out of the shotgun. He's
got two receivers left hand off in the backfield. You
know the run's coming and get outside and he got
up close to the thirty yard line, going to be
close to a first down, big cup of seven yards,
going to set up a third and one. I'm not
(01:16:53):
they've had all kinds of issues on the offensive line
of enterprise. They were shuffling folks around this week talking
to their radio crew, and I'm not sure what they're
doing down there to be successful tonight, but they've done
a heck of a job. They've banded the call. I
know a lot was put on them after that lopsided
lost here last week. They failed a car for forty
nine fourteen and have answered back.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
Very well.
Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
Tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
Be a third and one Wildcats from their own inside.
They're on twenty nine yards line and you could see
the run coming, quick hand off to the tailback Reece.
He's him for the back and field spins and bounces
it outside. Gonna be short of the first down. They
have lost to half a yard. It'll set up a
fourth down, and you would have imagine, hear coach Blackman
(01:17:36):
will pump this thing away. But they ever put it
past him. I saw him go for it two years
ago here on fourth down. Coach McCracken. Remember that was
early in the game too, from his own twenty yard line.
Sure he does sit on the punt team here. I remember,
remember that coach a couple of years ago we were here.
He went forward on his twenty he got the first down,
and you were talking to him on the ride back.
Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
He goes, boy, shouldn't have done that. That was I
got a good decision.
Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
I remember that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:00):
Uh I know Mac McCracken. Whatever's that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
They will punt here at least show punt punter stands
at around the twelve yard line. That's Garlington and he
gets it away, just got it away. And if air
catch called for by the Bulldogs at the thirty nine
yard line, andre Van hauls it in. They'll give them
the forties of the Bulldogs will start first in ten
(01:18:28):
and need a quick score. Here they got an enterprise
with thirty six points. They don't have thirty six, do they?
Speaker 3 (01:18:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
Sure, so they go for two. Uh I, sir, I
sure don't remember that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:52):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
I don't think so. But anyway, first and ten, Opelaka
from their own forty yard line. Here's a handoff near side,
good run by Jordan Waye's and it is late and
right there it comes to flag in. That was an
elite hit on the defense there, Jordan Water, So that
(01:19:16):
should be a fifteen yard penalty.
Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
Oh no, what is that? You didn't call it on us?
Speaker 7 (01:19:22):
Did it?
Speaker 6 (01:19:26):
Well?
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
I don't know. I hadn't seen the white hat indicate
that was a late fly thrown.
Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
It looked like the defender was almost had a bounce
when they threw the flag.
Speaker 9 (01:19:40):
No, it is.
Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
It is against enterprise. They were removing the wrong direction
here thirty six fourteen. I suppose you're trying to get
a confirmation on that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
I don't remember.
Speaker 1 (01:19:55):
I'm going for two. I believe it's shull be a
thirty five fourteen ball game. Well, they've got the score here,
thirty six fourteen. But we'll see man in motion Dalen Washington.
They're gonna try to throw it with Jalen and it
is covered up, but they throw it downfield. Andre somehow
caught it the twenty one stutter step and he's down
(01:20:15):
around the seventeen yard line and no idea he was
gonna throw it to Andre. He looks to cover, but
that was a good throw by Jalen Washington, and it's
a lambor transferring stewards first down inside the twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
Get a quick score.
Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
Now down at the seventeen of enterprise. Two wide receivers left,
single receiver to the right for the Bulldogs. Cooper gets
the handoff and the handoff goes left side to Waits.
Waits inside the fifteen. Waits down around the twelve yard line.
Come on, come on, come on, guys, close to five yards.
It will set up a second down in five for
(01:20:51):
the Bulldogs. Allright, got four yards, looks like it'll be
second and six. Cooper gets the stamp, handsed off to Waits.
Waits again. Hit at the ten, bounce it inside the five,
wait de ends on touchdown.
Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
Bulldogs. Seven fifty one to play.
Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
We've got time, fan if our defense, we.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
Gotta get some stops. Well, they've got thirty six to
twenty on the board. I don't know. I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
I would think that would be an incorrect score, but
it's still up there, So I assume that that is
the case. Seven fifty one to play. Here's the snap down,
and the extra point is and it is good. The
flag after the play, Oh, the kick is no good.
Speaker 3 (01:21:54):
There's a flag.
Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Yeah, kick no good. It is thirty five. They had
it incorrect. Makes sense.
Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
But the Bulldogs did miss the extra point flag after
the play a personal foul against Enterprise, and it will
be assessed. I don't know, personal foul on both the
off setting penalties. Now they did say them.
Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
Now they change it back to thirty five man.
Speaker 1 (01:22:17):
Yeah, all right, Well they said the extra point was
no good.
Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
It's a fourteen point game. We got two touches.
Speaker 6 (01:22:24):
I'm telling you we got enough time if we can
make them, if we could just do something defensively. Now,
why are they penalizing us?
Speaker 1 (01:22:36):
I thought they're going to market back and then mark
it off. I believe, Oh, it was a personal foul
on Oplaika, so they were gonna mark well, they little
why they marked off setting. But apparently it was nine.
So the Bulldogs will kick it from the twenty fourteen
point game right now is seven fifty one to play? Well,
(01:23:01):
it is a fifteen point game. They just corrected that,
so the extra point was no good. Thirty five to
twenty is our score, so a fifteen point game. And
Reese will put a boot into this one and it
will hit out of bounds inside the twenty down at
the fifteen yard line, So the Wildcats will have a
pretty good field position here, But coach McCracken got to
get a stop not out of this thing yet.
Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
They gonna make us kick this again.
Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
Yeah, they're gonna back this up five yards make up
like a rekick. So Reese Beasley now will be kicking
from the twenty yard line and gonna have to put
a really good shot into this one.
Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
Gon pull like it down. Fifteen seven fifty one to play.
Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
Then, Rix coach Spence McCracken coming to you from the
Orthpedic Clinic broadcast booth.
Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Wild Series here on this play. What is the decision
being made here?
Speaker 8 (01:24:07):
I think they're gonna I think they're taking the ball
rekick here. They're not gonna rekick it. I think they're
taking it right where it is, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:24:13):
So they're gonna take the penalty.
Speaker 1 (01:24:14):
It looks like an enterprise will have it in midfield then,
or at least that's where the officials are.
Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
How they get it at midfield?
Speaker 7 (01:24:26):
Oh that was huh.
Speaker 1 (01:24:30):
Good field position here for the Wildcats. Starting field position
will be at midfield. So hope like unable to rekick
and Burt Cart will work out of the shotgun. They've
gone really well on the ground tonight and number seven,
Jarrell Reese.
Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
He's in the backfield.
Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
He just broke not long ago, a seventy four yard
run and it'll be an option play.
Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
Burt Cart will keep it right side.
Speaker 1 (01:24:53):
Burt Cart's got running round inside the thirty five out
of bounds inside the thirty down at around the twenty
seven yard line and a first down run for Mason Burkhart.
Speaker 6 (01:25:05):
For our defense just hadn't done it tonight, Van were
giving up way too many big plays.
Speaker 1 (01:25:13):
Yeah, down to the twenty eight yard line. That was
a twenty two yard run there by the quarterback Mason
burke Caart and right now, op it. You can't give
up another score here with seven forty four to play
down fifteen thirty five twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:25:25):
They need to turn the ball over and they do
something good.
Speaker 1 (01:25:28):
Part Burkhart out of the shotgun, Reese to the left.
Burk Hart got a low snap, did get it up
though Reese has it, but a nice job there by
Isaiah Grave brought him down at the thirty yard line
and that will be a loss of two on the play.
Clock will wind down under seven at thirty to play. Reminder,
the Encore Rehabilitation High School Scoreboard Show will be coming
(01:25:50):
up later tonight. Here on the kicker guard of ground
ten o'clock tonight, Jared Bavarro eddio and run down on
all the local scores. Man, we do apologize, I had
to bring you a halftime report. I know earlier we
saw it was a tight game with Carver and Central,
but forty four twenty two Central pulling away in that
(01:26:12):
one in Montgomery. Two wides to the left side, singer
receiver to the right here for Burt Cart second down
in thirteen and Burt Cart will keep it straight up
the middle. He had to sing him right inside the
twenty burke Cart inside the ten five touchdown Mason Burke
Cart with a thirty two yard run right up the gut,
(01:26:35):
that old midline play there by the quarterback. And burke
Hart has done what he's done all night tonight, has
killed the Bulldogs on the ground and Henry Our Jose
Rocha in for the extra point, forty one to twenty
with six fifty one to play. This has been enterprises
night tonight. From the start, good snap, place down and
(01:27:03):
the kick is up and the kick is good. Wild
Cats lead at forty two to twenty, and you're listening
op like a Bulldog football in ninety seven point seven
kicker FM short kick taking my opal like a good
return across the forty up to the forty one yard
(01:27:25):
line for the Bulldogs. But dogs right now down twenty
two was six forty six to go, and right now
you just want to try to get you some momentum
head into next week. Opelika still well set up for
a playoff spot here in this seven A Region two battle,
But this loss today it will certainly need to be
a wake up call for this team down the stretch.
(01:27:45):
Coach for cracking, Yes, sir, they got Central. Next week,
I've had a home game against a very good Carver
team coming in which very well may come down to
spotted the playoffs with Cooper out of the shotgun hand
off left side.
Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
And yeah, it has been.
Speaker 1 (01:28:01):
Tough running against Enterprise up to the forty one yard line.
Just picked up a yard on the ground. Enterprise is
banged up. They've had bodies on the deck all night long.
But I don't know up front, coach, I just saw
one of the two of our outfitsive linemen were on
the ground that run there by the quarterback, and shoot,
they played. They just hit the hole. So quick and
(01:28:21):
you're right there. Defensive front is not big. No second
down to eight, whit's gonna try to throw. He rolls
here near side, pressure, throws and Andre Van behind him
around the forty three yard line. Incomplete. Clockell stet was
six ten to go. It'll be a third down and nine.
Though for the Bulldogs, you.
Speaker 6 (01:28:39):
Know they have nothing and that we have not been
able to establish any kind of a consistent running game tonight, No, sir,
If you just look at it, we had like twenty
eight yards in the first half, and then we didn't
do the first time we had the ball in the
third quarter, down by seven, we go three out and
(01:29:00):
can't make a first down.
Speaker 1 (01:29:02):
Three wides either side. Pressure coming from wit Cooper throws it.
It's incomplete. Try to get it to Jordan Waits now.
We had to get rid of that one in a
hurry as he was pressured. It's fourth down and nine.
Bulldogs are going to have to keep the offense out
and try to go for it here, just six o
six to go in the ball game. Desperation time for
the Bulldogs to try to get a score here, and
(01:29:25):
you're in a score and go for two mode or
scoring go for onside kick mode.
Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
At this point.
Speaker 1 (01:29:33):
Two wide receivers either side for the Bulldogs. Blake Johnson
will be the loan back in that a mainly blocked
here for w. Wit drops back on fourth down pressured
throws and it is picked off inside the fifty yard line,
down the sidelines and pushed out of ounds on the
interception there flag after the play gardener done on the
(01:29:54):
interception there for the Wildcats down the sidelines, and it
is a a tough night to try to throw the football,
and Wit put a little.
Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
Too much air under that one.
Speaker 1 (01:30:08):
Gave the defense an opportunity to come down make the
interception defense, So I have to come back out on
the field. But there is an injured Bulldog on the
field that around the twenty nine yard line. At this
point of the game, you just really can't afford to
get any more guys banged up and beat up. With
this game right now well at hand for the Wildcats
forty two twenty five point fifty five to play time
out on the field. We're back after this here on
(01:30:29):
the kicker back here Wildcats Stadium. Injured player for the
Bulldogs able to come off the field there and uh
Mac I was trying to get something situated here. Did
you see who the injured player was there for the Bulldogs?
Speaker 3 (01:30:48):
I didn't van. I think that was a I.
Speaker 2 (01:30:51):
I was one of the linemen.
Speaker 3 (01:30:52):
Yeah, somebody said, like a crackback shot right there.
Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
But you know, all right, we'll get a support report
if you can on those guys down there the tent.
And there is a personal foul against Enterprise, it's going
to go on that play, but it will be Enterprise
football though. Forty two to twenty right now, Wildcats with
(01:31:17):
the lead and with the football, but a couple penalties
going to back the Wildcats back all the way back
now to their forty two yard line, our forty seven
yard line, just five point fifty five to go here
in this one. And this has been a tough game
all around for us and the football team.
Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
Tonight is.
Speaker 1 (01:31:43):
Mine soon late second half, all the way through halftime
at early into the start of the second half. That
kind of put us off the air and just made
the playing conditions difficult. And when you were down, it's
tough to amount to come back to in these conditions.
Hand off here to the Wildcats and good tackled there
by the Bulldog I'll stop him right at the line
of scrimmage at the forty seven clock will continue to run.
(01:32:06):
Here with five forty three to play, Wildcats will hurry
a new set of troops in the ball game. Two
wide receivers to the right, single receiver to the left side.
Blackman in motion. Burt Cart gets the snap flushed out
of the pocket. Another good move. He'll slide down short
of the first down. They'll mark him down at the
(01:32:26):
forty eight of opalaika and that will keep the clock
going under five twenty to go. I've been in pressed
coach with Mason Burke hard he's a good one. He
took a shot in the Pike Road game, and you know,
they went on the road beat Pike Road, and Coach
Moore said, you know, if that doesn't tell you something
about this team what they're capable to do, and we
know how good Pike Road was, yep.
Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
And they went to Auburn.
Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
Their quarterback he took a shot down on the ground,
his helmet came off and he hit his head on
the turf. Missed most of that Auburn game of the
second half and did not play against Central came back
after the awful week and played last week against Carver
just wasn't quite himself, but he seems like he's coming
(01:33:10):
back to for him here.
Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
And I have to take a time out.
Speaker 1 (01:33:15):
The Wildcats will as they were trying to get their
offense situated, play clock was whinding down on them, and coach,
I know, and you've been in these situations. You weren't
in these situations many time in your coaching career. You were,
you were normally up multiple scores.
Speaker 8 (01:33:32):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
But if your coach Brian Moore leaving this game, coach tonight,
you know, I know you still have everything in front
of you.
Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
Got to use this as a lesson to the guys.
Speaker 1 (01:33:41):
You got to be ready to go every every week
and next week an opportunity to kind of do what
Enterprise did do Opelika tonight, go into Central and try
to shock them next week.
Speaker 6 (01:33:49):
You're you're absolutely right, man. You know you don't sometimes
you don't see these kind of things coming. But you
know that's why you basically don't need to get too
far up, too far down each week. You just play
as hard as you can play and win. Done that tonight,
especially defensively. Yeah, it's been a rough night for the week,
(01:34:11):
and we just have not done it, and we don't
really have we don't have enough offense to really really
you know, put people away. In the middle of the
third quarter.
Speaker 1 (01:34:25):
Yeah, here's a third down. Enterprise will trying to keep
their drive going. Here on a third and four and
a quarterback burke Hart breaks another tackle. He's got the
first down down to the thirty five yard line. That'll
move the chains. Here at four thirty to go and
the ball game while Kat's leading forty two to twenty. Yeah, coaching,
(01:34:45):
it's one of those offense when you know, no Polaka
is an offense where you want to play your game,
and that's run the football, run the football, work the
clod take your shots when you can, and when you
get down two scores, it's tough, especially on the I
don't care where you're playing at lay action, Burt Cart
rolls far side, throws back across the field and incomplete.
Speaker 6 (01:35:08):
Now you got four minutes to go in the game
and you're throwing the ball. I don't Brandon, I don't
have any I don't have any comments on that.
Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
Brandon Cook was the intended receiver I've been blaming. Can
put up one hundred on opal like a coach he
would tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:35:28):
I can tell you that.
Speaker 1 (01:35:36):
There's not much love loss between these two teams, especially
in the past couple of years.
Speaker 3 (01:35:40):
No sure, oh sure.
Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Two white outs to the right side.
Speaker 1 (01:35:44):
Burt Cart out of the shotgun, second down in ten
at the thirty five Vocalaika Burt Hart quarterback keeper and
he has hit at the thirty one yard line, brought down.
That'll keep the clock running three point fifty five to play.
The flag is down in the backfield. Clock will stop.
Speaker 6 (01:36:02):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:36:04):
White hand comes over and calls a hold against Enterprise,
and that will back up the Wildcats.
Speaker 6 (01:36:08):
That was on number seventy one. Excuse me, number eleven,
not seventy one.
Speaker 2 (01:36:14):
Huh, holding goes against Enterprise.
Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
Coach Brian Moore walks down the sidelines frustrated night tonight.
And I hadn't hadn't had many of these as a
head coach at opal ichad coach kind of going back
and looking at the games last year, it was a
(01:36:43):
you know, a tight loss really against Carver and Auburn
and coach I don't think coach Moore has lost a
double digit game, has head coach at Opleka.
Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
I hadn't had many of these.
Speaker 1 (01:36:58):
There's a run here near side tackle down of the
forty one yard line, picked up four yards tail back
there for the Wildcats. Three eighteen to play here in
the ballgame forty two twenty and it will be a
third down and.
Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
And you're sixteen to go here for the Wildcats.
Speaker 1 (01:37:21):
Trip receivers to the left side, tailback to the left
of Burkehrt the quarterback Mason Burkhart out of the shotgun.
It's a snap play action and want to throw a screen.
It's incomplete. That'll stop the clock with two fifty four
and fourth down of the Wildcats will send down the
punting team on a fourth and sixteen at the Oplaika
(01:37:43):
forty one.
Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
Next week. Reminder, Bulldogs will stay on the road.
Speaker 1 (01:37:52):
Need a big crowd heading to Central Phoenix City, a
chance to go on the road, lick your wounds and
go knock off the number one team of the region.
It'd be a nice way to flip the script on
this one here tonight. Punter gets the snap, knocks it down,
gonna hit inside the fifty five yard line up well
like I had, nobody back and it rolls into the
(01:38:13):
end zone for a touchback, so the Bulldogs will have
it first and ten from their own twenty yard line.
I can tell you one thing tonight, we're going to
have a maybe the heat going tonight. On the ride home,
we're we're soaking wet, Coach m kracking, We're gonna be
hearing no out and equipment and everything else. Uh Mac
no ac on the ride home.
Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
Okay, you're right about that.
Speaker 2 (01:38:33):
How are you doing wet? Wise there?
Speaker 3 (01:38:35):
I'm all right.
Speaker 8 (01:38:36):
We got underneath the bleachers there at halftime, so that
was nice of you. A little wet though, but I
got my fun drive all right.
Speaker 1 (01:38:44):
Four seasons Federal Credit Union signline report on Mac mccragan's wardrobe.
That's where we're at right now, forty twenty enterprise with
the league. We got to forty five to go on
Coore Rehabilitation High School Scoreboard show will be coming up
later on right here on the Kicker next week here
at Harrison Stadium in Phoenix City, the site of a
(01:39:07):
Big seven A Region two game, and boy two more
to go after this when the Bulldogs.
Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
We'll need to at least get one of the two.
Speaker 1 (01:39:18):
Dropping that quarterback hands it off with Cooper and the
play is blown dead procedure penalty against Opalaika. Move it
(01:39:38):
back to around the fifteen yard line. Two forty four
to play, forty two to twenty again our score. Cooper
out of the shotgun. It's the stamp whit play action
defender in his face, batted it down. There's no chance
as a defender for the Wildcats. Came crashing in. Kyron
(01:40:01):
Lewis the defensive end, and he jumped right up and
we had no chance.
Speaker 2 (01:40:07):
To throw that one.
Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
Thankfully it fell incomplete second down at fifteen for the
Bulldogs at the fifteen yard line. I will say this,
there's a decent amount of Apulia fans that have hung
in there with the Bulldogs here tonight in a monsoon
and a long road trip. Play action Cooper drops back
throws across the middle. What a grab throw, A sliding
(01:40:29):
grab there by Bennett Young. It's just Bennett's fifth grab
of the season. He's right at the first down marker
shy of the thirty down of the twenty nine yard line.
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
Looks like they will mark them.
Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
Sure it'll be third and one, But a heck of
a zip across the middle and a good sliding grab
for Bennett Young. Third and one play and off in
the backfield.
Speaker 2 (01:40:50):
It's Waits.
Speaker 1 (01:40:50):
Waits has the first down, broke a tackle inside the
forty Waits at the forty five, spinning at midfield, holding
on to that football, and goes down to the Enterprise
forty nine yard line. Good dry there and a good
run there by Jordan Waits. Clock winds down to two
to four to go. May not win the fight today,
(01:41:14):
but certainly want to have some momentum and get something
going here to end on a positive noted leads two
wide right single receiver left empty in the backfield with
Cooper drops back, throws and got a slipped out of
his hand. Yeah, wet football there, a little like just
didn't get a good grip you can see, which shaking
his head, didn't get enough on that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:35):
We first second down in ten.
Speaker 1 (01:41:40):
At the forty nine of Enterprise Bulldogs, moving from right
to left towards the open end zone here at Wildcat Stadium.
Cooper checks the sidelines. We have two receivers to the right.
Single receiver to the left, Jalen Nelson. Check it in
the ball game forka Eli Brogden will be the blocking
(01:42:03):
full back to the right. Pressure coming for enterprise. They're
ringing the house picked up good by the Bulldogs. Went
throws one. It is caught by Nelson at the forty
six and pushed out of bounds at around the forty
five yard line, picked up four yards. But there is
a flag on the play and it is in the
area of a possible hold on Opal like on the
(01:42:23):
outside yep, hold against Opelikah had trouble picking up those
defensive ends tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:42:33):
Kyra and Lewis and Brady Watsworth.
Speaker 6 (01:42:34):
How do you call holding when you get throwing a
screen pass on the other side of the field.
Speaker 3 (01:42:41):
I don't understand that. I think, I mean, think about that, man.
Speaker 1 (01:42:46):
I think somebody got a hold on Brady Watsworth. Godey
and Brady of course an old Opelikah player back in
the day as a youngster as this coach John Wadsworth
was a basketball coach at Opelikah. One of your old
buddies there coaching buddies. Yes, sir, Brady playing defensive end
for the Wildcats. Second down and long after that penalty
(01:43:08):
wits pressure throws on the run. It's caught by Andre
Then at the forty four, still on his feet, but
himmed up there before he could turn it up field,
and we'll pick up about five yards. It'll be third
and long here for opalik and we just got a
minute four and the clock continuing to run. This one
almost in the books. Under a minute to go in Opalaikah.
(01:43:29):
We'll let the clock wind on down forty two twenty
our score. Just another player two for Oblaika here third
and long and Wit rolls back. He's got backside pressure coming,
turns to throw and saw it coming out of the
corner of his eye and just will hold onto the
football and hit the deck as he was hit by
(01:43:50):
the defender. For the Wildcats, that may be the final
play Opelaika certainly in no hurry. It's fourth down, and
I think coach Ben Blackman waving off his troops and
Opelaika will not have to take another snap, and I
don't believe they will. Where they're signaling and one from
(01:44:12):
the sidelines, we'll see with Cooper out of the shotgun.
He will line up with four wide receivers to the right,
single receiver to the left.
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
They're gonna snap it here with one on the clock.
Speaker 1 (01:44:27):
Now, a short throw incomplete intended for Keeling Banks that
will do it forty two to twenty. The final score
here is a while. Can'ts have Enterprise win this one tonight?
Have the celebration there for the folks over there that
haven't had a whole lot to celebrate, and they win
it forty two to twenty. That's your final score and Opelika.
(01:44:50):
Next week we'll head to Phoenix City to take on
the Central Red Devils.
Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
We're back after this time out.
Speaker 1 (01:44:56):
Postgame show coming your way after this your listen, No
ple like a bulldog foot all right here on the
kicker back here and Wildcat Stadium, the Enterprise Wildcats celebrating
on their home field tonight with a big upset win
over the Opalika Bulldogs forty two to twenty. The final
(01:45:18):
score here tonight, Bulldogs dropping US six and two on
the season, three and two in seven A Region two
play Bulldogs will have to wait to try to clinch
a playoff spot, and it didn't come tonight here at Enterprise.
As the Wildcats try to work their way and squeak
their way into maybe a playoff spot if they can
try to run the table, and they certainly got a
manageable schedule down the stretch they've got Jag and Smith's station.
(01:45:40):
Only were teams remaining in the region, but they would
have to have some things go their way down the
stretch to try to pull off a playoff spot. But
they're completely not out of the conversation. But Coach McCracken
for Opalaika, we talked about it. You got to lick
your wounds, get ready for Central next week and an opportunity.
I think coach Moore can spin this where you know, enterprise.
Anybody gave them a chance to win this game here tonight,
(01:46:02):
but they found a way to come out, play hard
and win this ball game. We can do the same
thing next week, going on the road against the number
one team in the region and still a win at
a place where not many people are giving Opalanca a
chance to win.
Speaker 6 (01:46:14):
Coach Yep, well, I agree with you, Van, but we
got to fundamentally do the right things. And I'm just
telling you defensively, tonight we got whipped the whole game.
Speaker 3 (01:46:28):
I mean, it wasn't even close.
Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
Yeah, it wasn't pretty, there's no doubt about it.
Speaker 6 (01:46:33):
But you know, and the running game, our running game,
which was really really good early in the season.
Speaker 3 (01:46:41):
If we just I think.
Speaker 6 (01:46:42):
I think I told you we had twenty four yards
at halftime, and then we didn't get a whole lot
more of that in the second half. And you know what,
and I don't mean this against Wit or anybody else quarterbacking,
but everybody has to contribute and make big plays. We
(01:47:04):
do to make big plays tonight, you know why.
Speaker 1 (01:47:07):
Now, the biggest play of the night was certainly the
past that went through the andre and they had that
huge game there and.
Speaker 3 (01:47:14):
Listen, that got it.
Speaker 1 (01:47:15):
You know what, once the rain started, coaching kind of
kind of ended any chance of those big passes doing field.
Speaker 6 (01:47:21):
But that that first drive of the second half when
we got the ball and we go three and out
and we don't even get eight yards and three downs
all running plays. Yeah, and you know, if you can't,
you got to be able to do better than that.
But are you right, Let's just get ready for Phoenix City.
Speaker 2 (01:47:39):
Yeah, all right, we'll take a time out.
Speaker 1 (01:47:40):
Forty two to twenty again the final score here as
Enterprise knocks off opalaka coach More talking to his bulldogs
huddled up around the twenty yard line to our level,
catch up with him and continue things here in our
post game show on the way. Next you're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kicker back here why I
can't stadium again? Bulldogs on forty two twenty make mccracket
(01:48:02):
down on the field with Coach Moore.
Speaker 8 (01:48:03):
Thanks guys, Coach Boar. You know, I know this one
what you expected. I know we wanted to get out
of early to a good start, and you know, just
you know, physically and emotionally and everything on those sidelines.
You could just tell the frustration from not only you know,
the staff, but the kids. You know, Offensively, we just
couldn't get it going defensively, couldn't make the stops.
Speaker 3 (01:48:22):
Just one of those nights.
Speaker 8 (01:48:23):
But you know I heard you addressing your boys, and
you know you can share with the Bulldog nation of
you know what could you pull away from this game?
Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
And you know it ain't over with. We got Central
coming up and just how to how to prepare for
this week?
Speaker 9 (01:48:35):
Well, I mean, you know, our our mentality going in
the next week is gonna be everything. I mean, you
know tonight I didn't have the kids ready to play,
and our and our coaching staff, we've got to be
better as a whole. I don't know why I don't
at the moment, I can't. You know, it's very disappointing.
H I thought we had a great prep, a great
week of prep. It felt like our best honestly.
Speaker 6 (01:48:55):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:48:56):
And then the trip was good man.
Speaker 9 (01:48:57):
I mean, we were together all day since eleven this
morning and got down here and just just didn't play
good man. They outplayed us, out toughtess you know, and
and the things that we worked on couldn't show up,
you know, because we were down.
Speaker 5 (01:49:09):
And Uh, it's disappointing. Uh, you know, we hadn't felt this.
Speaker 9 (01:49:13):
You know, every single game that we've lost in two
years had been inside of possession.
Speaker 3 (01:49:17):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:49:17):
And we've been writing the game, you know, and and
it's so disappointing.
Speaker 6 (01:49:21):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:49:21):
And I've got to be better and and we'll moving forward,
all right.
Speaker 8 (01:49:24):
Coach, I know, you know, being a part being part
of a you know, you know, a family of coaching,
you know, with the old man. You know, I've seen these,
like you said, you know, we we we really run
into these type of games. But you're you know, I
know it's hard to take away any kind of positives
that we can see this, but hey, the boys never quit,
like you said, it's this week is going to tell
a lot of.
Speaker 3 (01:49:45):
How you rebound.
Speaker 9 (01:49:46):
Absolutely, I mean yeah, I mean I don't think our
kids quit and and they never will.
Speaker 5 (01:49:50):
I mean, you know this is we worked too hard
for that. But it's not just the work.
Speaker 9 (01:49:54):
I mean, you got to work with purpose and intent,
and uh, obviously we didn't do enough of that. I mean,
our kids came to work, they were there, but you
know we got to be better moving forward, and you
know we'll have our all checked again next week. But obviously,
well we expect to play better and put a better
product on the field for our people.
Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
All right, coach, have a say trip back to the
oh thanks man?
Speaker 1 (01:50:12):
All right, man, my cracking there with a very disappointed
coach Brian Moore is his Bulldogs fall to night forty
two to twenty here to enterprise O Pelaika and falls
for the second time this season. And it comes both
in region play Opelika right now three and two in
seven A Region two actions, six and two overall on
the season. We'll come back and wrap up our broadcast
after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here
(01:50:33):
on the kicker. All right, that'll do it here from
Wildcat Stadium, Bulldogs fall to night forty two to between
the Enterprise getting ready for the Central Phoenix City Red
Devils coming up next week. It'll be on the road
at Garrett Harrison Stadium. Need a big crowd next week
to make the trip. There's two more games to go
(01:50:54):
on the schedule to know. POLAC will finish up after
that road trip to Central back at Bulldog Stadium against
the car Wolverines as they fall tonight to the Red
Devils of Central. All the scores from around the area
coming up tonight Jerry Bavaro Eddio in the high School
Scoreboard show that's coming up on the way next but
again the Wildcats of Enterprise winning here tonight forty two
to twenty. As the Bulldogs will also go into fall
(01:51:15):
break coming up next week, so Opelika Lease can's focus
on football for at least the first three days of
the week and then back to school on Thursday and Friday.
In that trip to Central forty two to twenty tho
Enterprise wins it here Wildcats Stadium. Stay tuned for the
Encore Rebilitation High School Scoreboard Show for Mac McCracken, Jason Lee,
and the Hall of Famer coach Spence McCracken. I'm Van
Rigolong here from the wirerass. It's great to be an
