And Jason Lee. Here's the Voice of the Bulldogs, Van Riggs.

Speaker 8 (03:22):
Well Life Form Bulldog Stadium in Opelayka, Alabama. It's Friday
Night at his homecoming and his time for Opelaka High
School Football. After a hard fought battle in the one
hundredth edition of one of Alabama's most storied rivalries. Opelika
Bulldogs looking to bounce back. Last Thursday, the Dogs came
up just short against the Auburn Tigers, following seventeen to
ten and an offensive slug fest that dropped Oplaik at

(03:44):
a two to one on the season, started the Bulldogs
off with an zero to one record in region play.
It also marked a sixth straight loss in the series.
But the fire far from out to night. The Bulldogs
ready to turn the page and get back. Ready Topelika
Bulldog Football here in the friendly confines of Bulldog State.
I'm Van Riggs, a lawside Hall of Fame coach Spence
mccrack and Mac McCracken will be roaming the sidelines giving

(04:04):
us our sideline reports tonight. Jason Lee also spotting engineering
and hosting our halftime here tonight. Jag Jaguars. Last season,
they were dominated by the Bulldogs here inside Bulldog Stadium.
Second year in a row they've made the trip up
I eighty five, opall I could dominate that one fifty
two to six. The series has been all Bulldogs. But
tonight the Jags trying to shake off a couple early
losses on their season. They dropped one against Hewitt trustful

(04:27):
in Week one, had an off week and then fell
to Carver Montgomery last week. Coach Brian Moore looking to
get his offense rolling early tonight. It has been a
challenge of late. Quarterback kolbe Key has been battling illness.
Fullback Blake the Hammer Johnson he's been limited with an
ankle injury sustained in Week one against Benjamin Russell. He
was not anywhere close to his one hundred percent self

(04:48):
last week, so he could expect a heavy dose of
the ground game tonight, led by senior running backs Jordan
Waite c J. Johnson. Johnson turnheads last week with a
Sports Center worthy sixty three yard touchdown run that gave
the dog a chance late against Auburn. Night to celebrate
tradition and pride. It's homecoming and it is open like
a Bulldog football, and we'll continue with a Bulldog count

(05:08):
down to kickoff coming up on the way next year. Listen, Nope,
like a Bulldog football. Here on the kicker.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Now it's time for a pregame visit with opaak A
head football coach Brian Moore, presented by South State Bank.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Now with coach, here's Van Riggs.

Speaker 8 (05:22):
All right, coach two and one home coming tonight here
at Bulldog Stadium. Chance to pick up the first region win.
I know it's just big to kind of bounce back
and get your first one.

Speaker 10 (05:30):
Yeah, no doubt, I mean it. They all matter. And
you know, JAG as much improved.

Speaker 11 (05:34):
You know, they've done a good job there of kind
of getting them organized and getting the kids playing hard.
So what to play well and as you said, bounce
back and hopefully we're healthier this week and you know
again we have a better show.

Speaker 8 (05:46):
Yeah, a tough situation for your offense, short handed last week,
and I know, besides the quarterback position change up, you
had a lot of guys that were beat up and
banged up. It's been a physical first few weeks in the.

Speaker 10 (05:55):
Season, no doubt.

Speaker 11 (05:56):
You know, last year we stayed pretty healthy all the
way through and you have those, you know, years where
you're not and this is one of those.

Speaker 10 (06:02):
But you know it's our job to overcome.

Speaker 11 (06:03):
And you know, the silver lining is you find depth
and you find other guys that can step in and play.

Speaker 10 (06:08):
You know, we found CJ.

Speaker 11 (06:09):
Johnson and Jordan Waites both stepped up for Blake last
week and Bennett played a little wasn't great, you know,
couldn't couldn't do a whole lot. Wasn't himself, I guess
I should say. And the same thing with Blake. You know,
he had two carries in the game, not himself, but
other guys have to step up in those moments.

Speaker 8 (06:25):
Jordan was the big bag for you in the Callaway game,
and I know CJ kind of had his breakout game
against Auburn on Friday night. Talk about the runs he had,
especially that big sixty three yard touchdown.

Speaker 10 (06:35):
Unbelievable. I mean, we've been waiting on those big ones.

Speaker 11 (06:37):
I mean he's been a step away kind of all year,
whether it's kickoff return or you know, running the football.
So it was good to see him, you know, stretch
it out and really run. You know, he's been bottled
up kind of all year and fighting for extra yards.
But it was good for him to break tackles. And
then I thought our offensive line played better late in
the game. We just got to find out way to
start faster and hopefully with the new confidence.

Speaker 10 (06:56):
Of CJ and Jordan will do that.

Speaker 8 (06:58):
Yeah, coach, you've been able to wear down d defense
was two weeks in a row, and I thought Auburn's defense, boy,
they were really tired. The defensive tackles they were. They
were slow getting up off the ground and you kind
of had them where you wanted them. And how do
you start fast though and kind of wear them down early?

Speaker 11 (07:12):
You know, anything we've dom sized since I've been here,
we've gotten better at. And so that's been something this
week that we worked hard on, you know, from changing
up practice tempo to you know, when we get to
the good versus good periods.

Speaker 10 (07:23):
And that sort of thing. So we're doing everything we can,
you know, to exhaust all you know, avenues to.

Speaker 11 (07:27):
Figure out, you know, what can kick start this team,
even looking at pregame warm ups, you know, and how
we go about that. So, you know, I think as
our kids gain experience, though, they'll start to settle into
games faster.

Speaker 10 (07:37):
But we're going to have to do that.

Speaker 11 (07:38):
We've trailed seven and nothing in every game we've played
this year, and we've got to stop spotting people points
and find a way to get a lead early in games.

Speaker 8 (07:45):
Things could have spiraled out of control in that first half,
but it's the little things that stepped up for you.
The block field goals, Auburn missing a field goal, but
the defense been able to come in and put them
in a tough situation and make plays when they needed
to to keep that game close.

Speaker 11 (07:59):
You know, really, pre preseason I talked a lot about
the offense being sort of the strength early and you know,
if we can get healthy, we can still do that.
But you know, defensively, they've been a pleasant surprise. I
mean in every game, they're fighting their guts out. You know,
they're playing so hard for their city and community. And
you know, they had seven possessions Auburn did in the
first half in our territory and scored ten points. As
you said, block kicks, you know, huge stops, huge third

(08:22):
down stops.

Speaker 10 (08:23):
Been really proud of those kids, how hard they're playing.
We got to play a little bit better we had.

Speaker 11 (08:26):
You know, we got had a guy cut loose on
our reverse pass, you know, kind of a trick play,
and so we got to continue to clean some of
those things up.

Speaker 10 (08:32):
But I mean, really pleased with those guys and where
they're at.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
Coach. I know the big things that sticks out right now, turnovers.
I know you've been working on that this week.

Speaker 10 (08:40):
No doubt.

Speaker 11 (08:40):
I mean, you turn over four times two interceptions and
then two you know, fumbled snaps, you know, and then
that's after a week we had a bad snap at Callaway.

Speaker 10 (08:48):
You know, just things that we've got to continue to
work on, you know.

Speaker 11 (08:51):
And we've got guys new operations, whether it's field goal,
whether it's you know, our new center, new quarterback.

Speaker 10 (08:58):
Now, you know, we've got a lot of things going on.

Speaker 11 (09:00):
But you know, I think as the season, you know,
moves along, I think we're going to get better there.
We're certainly working it, you know, time after time again
after practice, you know, continuing to get.

Speaker 10 (09:10):
Extra snaps and extra reps. So at some point that's
going to pay all.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
Talking to head coach Brian More, home coming to night
inside Bulldog Stadium, open like getting said, take on Jag.
We'll continue with our pregame visit after this time out
here on the kicker, Welcome back, visit my head coach
Brian More getting ready for home coming tonight at Bulldog
Stadium as the Dogs get ready to take on the
jag Jaguars final home game before the Bulldogs take a
trip next week in Reach and Play to take on
Smith's Station.

Speaker 12 (09:34):
Coach.

Speaker 8 (09:34):
I know, homecoming sometimes can come with distractions, a lot
of things during the week that lead lead up to
this game, and then of course the dance coming up tomorrow.
But just kind of talk about how you tune all
that out and focus on football.

Speaker 10 (09:45):
Yeah, I mean we're going to have to.

Speaker 11 (09:46):
I mean, our our team's still try and improve, you know,
and find a way to play better. And you know,
so our kids have been locked in.

Speaker 10 (09:51):
You know. The big thing was I gave them Sunday off.

Speaker 11 (09:54):
You know, I felt like we were so fatigued after
that week leading into Auburn, and so we saw better Monday,
and the rest the week was good as well. So
we're excited about playing again and getting an opportunity to
get that taste out of our mouths. So, you know,
I think our kids understand, you know, keeping the main
thing the main thing, and understanding that you know, homecomings
for families and the girls and that sort of thing
and celebrating our tradition.

Speaker 10 (10:15):
But for us, we got to play a football game tonight.

Speaker 8 (10:17):
I saw a little bit of Jag on film. I
saw him go right down the field on Carver at
the beginning of the game. And they're a team that's
really big upfront on offense. They look like in any
typical Montgomery team. They're going to have athletes, no.

Speaker 10 (10:27):
Doubt, and they're more organized.

Speaker 11 (10:29):
Like I said, you know, coach up Church has done
a good job with them and you know, continues to
get them better. You know, little things like they're not
having snap issues, they don't have special teams issues anymore.
You know, they're doing a really good job of cleaning
some of those things up, which has been the achilles
heel of those guys over the past few years. But
you know, we're seeing a different team and a much
improved team. And as you said, they move right down
the field on Carver with a great running quarterback that's

(10:51):
making plays. He's a very, very much a dual threat
guy that we're gonna have to get on the ground
and rally to to get him to get him down.
So again, always skilled, always can give you fits if
you let.

Speaker 10 (11:01):
A team hang in the game with you.

Speaker 8 (11:02):
All right, coach, good luck tonight and enjoy the homecoming festivities.
But hopefully it's to enjoy the homecoming festivities after the
first reach and win, no doubt, thank you, Van Go
Dogs Head coach Brian More will be back after this
time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
You are listening to oplelike high school football here on
ninety seven point seven Kicker FM.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Now it's time for Coach Vince mccrackens Keys to the.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Game, presented by Glenn Smiths, Chevrolet, GMC and Opel.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
I got get ready to smile.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
While we welcome you back to Bulldogs Stadium. And is
time now for Coach mccrackens Keys to the game and
Coach what you got for us tonight? Dog's gonna get
back on track.

Speaker 13 (11:48):
Oh, last week was a nightmare. Let me just tell
you something, Net. We've played three games and I every
one of them went right down to the end. But
the Keys to the Game tonight, I was telling you earlier,
I was thinking about this. First of all, we got
five starters out tonight that won't be playing with us.
Jeremy Dillard's gonna sit out another week with a foot injury.

(12:11):
Blake Johnson's not gonna play, Kobe Keys out for another week,
Bennett Young is out, So that makes that makes five.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
Excuse me I left out.

Speaker 13 (12:25):
Leakedrick Burt's the fine inside linebacker, is out for six weeks.
So we got five starters out and so you replace
those five starters with juniors except for one. And you
know that's something that we you know, you ask what
the key to one of the keys to the game is.

(12:46):
We got to get those hurt players back van as
quick as we can. But you know, I got to
looking at the stats, and I think for the fans
listening to the game out there, we're playing Jag tonight.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Now Jag for all you people that don't know this.

Speaker 13 (13:02):
That used to be Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery
and then the name was changed several years ago. And
we had some great games with jeff Davis back when
they were jeff Davis. And their team is struggling a
little bit right now. But we got to just come
out and do the job.

Speaker 11 (13:23):
Now.

Speaker 13 (13:23):
I give you all these stats every week of things
that I think that we need to keep up with,
and this is what wins football games. Who's going to
possess the ball the most, who's going to have more
plays than the other team. Well, that makes a lot
of sense that the team that's got more plays has

(13:43):
probably got a better chance to score yards rushing, if
you outrush your opponent, you have a good chance to
win the game because you keep the clock running and
you keep making first downs.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
Just like that last drive against all we.

Speaker 13 (14:01):
Drove it sixty eight yards valil all the way down
to the six yard line and fumbled. So anyway, yards rushing,
yards passing, the same thing. And when you throw the ball,
you can't throw it to the other guy. Can't have turnovers.
And while I'm on turnovers, we had three four turnovers

(14:22):
last Friday night, and you just cannot do that and
win against.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
A good football team.

Speaker 13 (14:29):
We had two interceptions and we two fumbles, and one
of the fumbles was on the six yard line. Well,
we were ready, hopefully to win the football game or
tie the football game. You gotta be able to make
first downs and keep the clock running. Whoever makes the
most first downs is probably gonna win the game. Third

(14:50):
down conversions, third and fourth down conversions, Auburn, I bet
you had eleven or twelve of those, and I don't
think we had three or four at half tonight. I'm
gonna give you how those results went by And anyway
to sum it up.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Don't turn the fall over.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Four turnovers. Auburn had won and that was a big deal.

Speaker 13 (15:17):
And penalties I think we had six or seven penalties
last week Auburn did not. And so those kind of
things like that decide the game. And one other thing
that decides the game, excuse me, is each play last
about five seconds. Whoever makes the big play. A famous

(15:40):
coach told me.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
This one time.

Speaker 13 (15:43):
He said, big time players make big time plays and
big time games. Well, this is a big time game
because it's a football game. And we'll see who makes
the most big plays tonight. And I didn't ignore for
the kicking game. We gotta make field goals and extra points.

(16:04):
We can't miss those chip shots. And we got to
use that firm. Have good punts, good pump returns, good kickoffs,
could kid, We gotta be real solid in.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
The kicking game.

Speaker 8 (16:16):
All right, Well, coach, we appreciate it, Thanks so much.
He's the game brought you back. Glensabith, Chevy GMC and
Opelika get ready to smile. We'll continue with more of
the pregame show presented by Frederick Dean Funeral Home. After
this time out home coming tonight open I can getting

with more after this here on the kicker back hereld

(16:40):
the pregame show up. I getting ready to take on
the jag Jaguars. I'm being Riggs joined alongside coach Spence McCracken.
Jason Lee and Mac McCracken roam in the sidelines tonight.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
W KKR Auburn, Opelika is League County's Best Country ninety
seven point seven kicker FM and iHeart Country Station.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
Bold on Stadium, Gooding home Crown Tonight A very sparse
crown on the visiting side tonight for the jag Jaguars,
we'll get a count hall of the visiting fans tonight
with coach Vince mccrackens. How many fans are their segment tonight,
So we'll see magmacraculvey roaming our sidelines and the Jaguar
marching van is letting in rip. They got a heck

(20:07):
of a marching van across the way. Jaguars now with
the purple pants, white jerseys, purple numbers outlined in yellow
yellow helmets with a Jaguar emblem on both sides. Bulldogs
white pants tonight, red jerseys, and they kick it into
the end zone as Reeese Beeasley another good kickoff and
that one goes into the end zone for a touchback.
The Jags will start from there on a twenty yard

(20:28):
line first and ten. As we mentioned earlier, there's some
big matchups going on around the region around the area tonight.
We're gonna keep an eye on, of course, that Auburn
game as they get ready to take on the Enterprise
tonight and up the road in Phoenix City, a very
interesting matchup with Dothan and Central tonight. That Dothan team
really put it on the enterprise last week.

Speaker 13 (20:48):
They did you go see a lot of running tonight
or a timpted running by both teams, and uh so
we on defense.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Let's stop the run, all.

Speaker 8 (20:57):
Right, Bulldogs, we'll come out on defense. King Anderson the
quarterback ad into the back and he has brought down
in the backfield. A nice loss on the play as
the tail back there for the Jags went nowhere and
that was number one on the carry there, Christian Williams.
He was tackled by Terres Thomas for a loss of form.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Great job TJ.

Speaker 13 (21:19):
Thomas, Josh Davis Looney Thomas Tres up front.

Speaker 8 (21:24):
Back to the sixteen yard line on the play.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Good start right there, van.

Speaker 8 (21:32):
So Williams was the carrier there. Quarterback drops back here,
dangerous past tipped and it was nearly intercepted by the Bulldogs.
Norman Matthews got a hand on him, but it was
tipped into the hands of July Gay and he was
got it up to the twenty five yard lines. That
was a nine yard pickup there. Third and five and

(21:53):
it'll be a third and five. That one almost intercepted
by the Bulldogs Norman Matthews, but a tip into the
hands of Gay. The receiver trips to the left side,
single receiver to the right. Here for the Jaguars on
their first possession of the game. Anderson, the quarterback, drops back,
steps up in the pocket, wants to run. He's got
a first down, and he's tackled down at the thirty

(22:13):
five yard line on a busted play. Trey Stone gets
him down, but not before the quarterback scrambles for ten
yards up to the thirty five and that will be
a Jaguar first down.

Speaker 5 (22:22):
Yeah, that's a we didn't cover the middle of the field.

Speaker 8 (22:28):
Trey Stone gets the start tonight for the injured Lake
Trick Burts, Trey and Kate trey Stone is a junior,
and it'll be a first and ten for the Jaguars
with their own thirty five yard line. Anderson hands the
ball off. Tailback goes nowhere. He goes bottled up by
Isaiah Gray and there on the stop and that is
Gray's second tackle for loss this season. It'll be dropping

(22:51):
down for a two yard loss back to the thirty
three yard line.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Great job right there.

Speaker 13 (22:55):
Jamal Griffin and Braden Howard at the corners, Norman Matthews
at strongs safety Xavier Thomas and Antonios Peters and safeties.

Speaker 8 (23:04):
We are just underway, scoreless, ten oh two running clock
here in the first quarter. Two whiteouts right, single receiver
to the left side. Out of the show.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
There's movement that's five on them.

Speaker 13 (23:18):
Van head of a stout start on the offense, says
a high joint pendalty.

Speaker 10 (23:26):
Free place looking down.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
I see that's theirs penalties I was telling you all about.

Speaker 12 (23:33):
So far.

Speaker 13 (23:33):
We're played pretty good defense on giving give them another
first down.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Get to that quarterback, fan.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
Show, second down and long here for the Jaguars. After
that penalty from their own twenty eight yard line, quarterback
drops back pressure and he's gonna be sacked down on
the play by Terres Thomas, big time. Sacked back to
the twenty yard line. It'll be a loss of eight
yards and third in law coming down.

Speaker 5 (24:01):
That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 8 (24:03):
Good job defense did a really nice job pinning their
ears back. It'll be third and twenty five coming up
for the Jaguars. Nine sixteen here in the first quarter.
Don't let anything get behind you, guys. Get pressure on
the quarterback. Anderson la King Anderson the junior quarterback five
eight hundred and seventy two pounders. Changing blaze up there

(24:23):
with his offensive line. He goes back out of the
gun now with the two whiteouts in either side. Now
he'll bring one wide out in motion from left to right.
Anderson drops back too in his face. Tried to set
up a screen and overshot Williams, the intended running back
out of the backfield. He was trying to set that
screen up to. It'll be fourth down in a mile,
and here comes the punting team for the Jaguars. And
this is something that coach Morre said earlier this week.

(24:45):
Special teams not their forte So this is something he
hopes they can really take advantage of, maybe even get
a block on Madarien Smith, the punter who's sort of
a almost like a tight end tight kicker.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
They're bringing them.

Speaker 8 (25:00):
Oh, he's going to bring the house here. He stands
it around the five to await the snap. See if
the Bulldogs can get a play here. They moved, they moved,
they checked the sidelines. Now they all come back sit here,
fourth and long. Here punting time for the Jaguars. They
just got in away line, drive end over end punt
and will take a bounce. The Bulldogs will scatter away

(25:22):
and that'll be a pretty good punt there for the Jaguars.
They'll get it all the way to the Bulldog forty
four yard line, so that will be about a thirty.

Speaker 12 (25:34):
Man.

Speaker 13 (25:35):
Jeff Davis had six carries running the ball minus two yards.
Great star.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (25:44):
Other than really the the tip pass is what kept
the drive alive initially, and then that quarterback scramble really
just two plays. But Fuller Young getting his second career
start for the Bulldogs. First ninteno polaka from their own
forty five yard line. A hand off to Jordan Waits
right side, and Wait's gonna be initially right at the
light of scrimmage, and he lunched ahead to up to

(26:04):
around the forty six forty seven yard line, maybe got
two yards.

Speaker 13 (26:08):
Got Corbin Fears at center, Isaiah Howell at left guard,
Juliet Pritchett left tackle, Dais Whitlowdt right guard, and Harriet
Mason number sixty eight at right tackle.

Speaker 8 (26:20):
Yeah, up to the forty seven. So that'll be second
out of eight for the Bulldogs. Moving right to left,
eight twelve left in the first quarter, the clock running,
here's a hand off the Waits again. Waits stays on
his feet at midfield. Nice cutting. Waits still pushing the pile.
He's got a first down. Waits carries the load across
the forty five yard line down to the forty four
and that's going to be a nine yard pickup and
enough for a Lambert transfer in storage first down for job,

(26:44):
great job. Bulldogs want to go fast here down to
the forty five. They'll call it the line of scrimmage.
At the jag forty five fuller Young hand off again.
Jordan Waits. Waits doing some nice shifty running through the defense,
and he's got another first down down to the thirty
three yard line. That's another Lambert transfer in storage first down.

(27:05):
That's good for twelve yards. Jordan Wakes with some nice running.
The Bulldogs will do that all night long if the
defense will allow.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
He's smooth.

Speaker 8 (27:13):
This peanut butter thirty eight carries one hundred and sixty
four yards coming into tonight. Just one touchdown that may change.
Here's a reverse to Jalen Washington. Got something set up
at the thirty cut at the twenty five. Jalen still
on his feet inside the twenty and Jalen falls down
to the fifteen yard line that played good for eighteen
yards and a Lambert transfer in storage first down, little

(27:35):
nifty reverse to Jalen Washington and the Bulldogs set up
down to the Jaguar fifteen yard line. Now Young gets
the snab. Now CJ's in the game. SEJ. Johnson cutting
down rather quickly there, but does get up to a
couple of yards down to around the twelve yard line.

Speaker 5 (27:56):
Dogs wanted to grow fast.

Speaker 8 (28:01):
Picks up two yards down to the thirteen second down
and eight for the Dogs, and now a timeout having
to be called by the Jaguars as they try to
get a late defensive man off. With the Bulldogs marching
on down the field. Scoreless, game six fifty three remaining
here in the first quarter. Time out on the field,
and we're back after this here on the kicker. We're

(28:29):
back here Bulldog Stadium and offense comes back out on
the field. Here'll be second down to eight after the timeout,
Jaguars had to burn one trying to get a late
man out.

Speaker 10 (28:37):
C J.

Speaker 8 (28:37):
Johnson will be the tailbag here for fuller Young Bulldogs
will bring a couple in motion from right to left.
Young gets the stamp and again to give us to CJ.
Here left side, CJ inside the ten, inside the five,
and CJ getting down close to the two yard line.
I think he's down to the two. That's enough for
another Lambert transfer and storage first down eleven yards here

(28:58):
by CJ. Johnson, and that'll set the Bulldogs up first
and goal from the two. Nice drive right here, Van
Dogs first and goal from the two. Now, Jalen Washington
goes in motion from left to right. They handed to
c J's in the end zone for the Bulldog touchdown
see Jane Hunson and Johnson his second rushing touchdown as

(29:19):
a Bulldog, and he gives the Dogs a six nothing
to lead here the six twenty two mark of the
first quarter, and the Dogs wanted to start early regardless
of who they were playing against. They marched it right
down the field using a good short field too. Starting
field position was what was coach, We're riding around the
forty five yard line where this thing started. Yes see,

(29:41):
if we're asking to get an extra point here through
good snap, the hold is down on and the kick
is up and the kick is good scoring drive and
power bo Opal like a Power Services hometown people working
for you online open like a power Giant com Dogs
on Tome seven nothing s remaining in the first quarter.
Well back after this time out here on the kicker,

(30:11):
Dog's up seven nothing over the jag Jaguars six twenty
two remaining here in the first quarter. Let's head down
to the field for a four Seasons Federal Credit Union
sideline report. Matc did start for the Dogs.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Yeah, that was you know, before the game. Coach board
just told him.

Speaker 14 (30:24):
He said, look, we haven't played Opaka football in three games.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
We have not been who we are in three games.

Speaker 14 (30:30):
And you know, I know no one of that was
controlling the offensive line of scrimmage right there.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
So hey, he never threw on that opening series right there.

Speaker 14 (30:37):
We ran the football after our defense did their job,
and you know he's somebody, you know, cleaning up penalties
and all that stuff, getting back to the good old
Opaka football. And that looked pretty good right there. Van
Ice drive touchdown.

Speaker 8 (30:48):
Very well, said Matt McCracken down on our sidelines tonight.
Every sideline report brought to you by four Seasons Federal
Credit Union. The boy, they're huge supporters of the Opalhika Bulldog.
Glad to have them. Long time sidelight report sponsors for OPA,
like a high school football it is homecoming tonight. Goods
starting so far Dogs on top seven to nothing, and
here comes Reese Beasley. I had to kick it away.

(31:10):
He'll kick from right to left as the Jaguars await
the football down into their back to the end zone,
which is the indoor facility, and that kick a high
sailing punt into the end zone as it takes Christian
Williams falling into the end zone, and that's the Jags
will start from their own twenty yard line versed in ten.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
If they had a quick word about Fuller.

Speaker 13 (31:33):
Young Fuller since the seventh grade has never started a
high school football game till last week against Auburn High School.
Dead quarterback, so this was his second game to start.
I thought he looked real good executing offense.

Speaker 8 (31:48):
Yeah, I thought so too. Yeah, really interesting here, coach.
You know, I said that la King Anderson was quarterback,
but it actually is number four and this is not
a quarterback. At the start of the year earlier for
them at quarterback. So this will a little change up
here for Jaguars. Tail Man gets the ball and he
is taken down in the backfield on first down from

(32:09):
the twenty yard line. Williams is final living the backfield.
Kaden Harris, the linebacker, flies in and brings him down
for a loss of one back around the nineteen yard line.
Second down to eleven coming up for the Jaguars.

Speaker 5 (32:21):
Great play right there.

Speaker 8 (32:25):
Jaguars trying to bring in some substitutions. Their roster, boy,
I tell you, is like where's Waldo online? You just
can't find it. And you can find Waldo sometimes, but
you can't find their roster.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
They're not very big over there either.

Speaker 13 (32:38):
You can tell their numbers aren't much, but they just
they don't have a lot of size.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
We got to just keep at them. Stop the run.

Speaker 8 (32:46):
Boys, Young out of the shotgun. This is Kingston Young
for the Jaguars. And a flag comes in, gonna to
lay a game against the Jaguars. That's going to back
them up five yards.

Speaker 5 (32:57):
That's ten yards penalties for them. Play second down.

Speaker 13 (33:03):
Yeah, we're gonna We're gonna get every one of these
stats tonight, get them to Jason at half, and we're
gonna go over these because this is a this is
a big thing. And even in a game like this,
uh where we can eliminate our mistakes.

Speaker 8 (33:21):
Well, here comes jag after the after the penalty, it'll
be second down in sixteen. Jaguar is now back inside.
They're fifteen from their own fourteen yard.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Line, and they're gonna chuck at this time.

Speaker 8 (33:35):
Second and sixteen and it'll be Young dropping back and
you're gonna take off and run. He gets up across
the twenty up to the twenty two yard line, so
he'll scramble for eight yards and terrees. Thomas comes in
makes the stop. You know, coach, they've changed quarterbacks from
the beginning of the season, so they're going more and
more of a running back and in this and Kingston

(33:56):
Young is listening on. The rosters are running back, but
right trying to change something up. It looks like this
week against Opelika. Third and eight, after the scrambled trips
receivers to the left side here for the Jaguars, and
they moved again.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Good, we'll take it.

Speaker 8 (34:12):
Oh signal. Yeah, Oplaika defense did cross into the neutral zone.
But I believe they were brought over my movement from
the offensive line. We'll see it couldn't go against the Bulldogs.

Speaker 12 (34:22):
Here.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
They're gonna huddle up and talk about it. White Hat
comes over to listen to the back judge and the
two side officials come meet together around the twenty two
yard line to discuss, and we'll get the call from
the white hat. He is miked up, so you'll hear
that it's gonna be an off sides against Opelakas. That's
gonna make it a really short field here. Third and three, yeah,

(34:45):
third down and three now for the Jaguar. We don't
need to see. That's a stupid penalty right there. Need
to move when the ball moves, boys, come on and
I'll move it up to the twenty seven yard line.
I'll be third down and three, four forty eight remaining
here in the first quarter, Bulldog Stadium, ople like in
the jag Jaguars and the Dogs leading seven to nothing.
Second possession of the game.

Speaker 9 (35:06):
Here for the Jags, I think they're gonna run it.
Could see a quarterback drawplay here.

Speaker 8 (35:11):
Defensive line shifts over for the Bulldogs and now Young
Kingston Young out of the shot gun running back Williams
to his right. Young gets the snap, drop the snap,
and there's a scramble for it. He picks it up
and he's in trouble. Rolling back now throws and throws
it away and there's no flag. Norman Matthews was there
with the pressure on the quarterback after he dropped the snap,

(35:34):
and he was lucky he was able to throw it away.
It'll be fourth down though, and the punting team comes
in for the Jaguars. So another good defensive series. That's right,
good pressure despite a couple of quarterback busted runs. Coach McCracken,
defense has played really good. And now one totally is
only negative.

Speaker 13 (35:49):
Really, yeah, they got I'm gonna give you these, give
you these stats in a minute, but a lot of
minus yards rushing.

Speaker 8 (35:59):
See if we get this pot maybe hunt Madarien Smith
stands around the eleven yard line line of scrimmage of
twenty seven, gets the snap and puts the line drive
boot into this one. Andre Van will look thought about
fielding a a hop and now we'll let it roll
and takes a good Jaguar roll inside the thirty yard
line down to around the twenty eight yard line. So

(36:20):
good punt there by the Jaguars that got down to
the twenty eight yard line of opelaika. So that'll be
a fifty yard punt there for the Jacks.

Speaker 12 (36:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (36:31):
That that that that I think we probably could have
picked that up or came up on it and caught it.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
But anyway, let's go to.

Speaker 8 (36:38):
Work Opelika from their own twenty eight they scored on
their last drive out of the game. Bulldogs will go
I formation. Here under center is Young with a white
out either side, quick hand off here to see J. Johnson.
He has wrapped up immediately there at the line of scrimmage.
A good stop by Deshan Williams safety flight in there
making the stop for the Jaguars. No game on the

(37:00):
play second and ten.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
Yeah, it's a little power playoff the right side. We
didn't we didn't get anything on that one.

Speaker 8 (37:07):
Auburn High School leading ten nothing in Central Phoenix City
leading toth in twenty to seven. Couple of big region
scores here at seven to nothing with three forty remaining
and the clock running here in the first quarter, wide
out either side, Young gets the snap again. They go
to C. J. Johnson, CJ right side, and CJ doing
a good job of not much there, carries it to

(37:27):
the thirty four yard line. Six yard pickup and it'll
set up a third down and four coming up for
the Bulldogs.

Speaker 10 (37:37):
Late six yards.

Speaker 5 (37:41):
Good man, it's a pull first down right here hopefully.

Speaker 8 (37:45):
Three oh eight clock running here in the first quarter.
Again I formation offensive line showing that the defense jump,
but they were able to get back Eli Briandon in
as the full back here for the Bulldogs on this
third and four counterplay back inside good hole here by
Jordan Wakes, Waits across midfield. Waits just brought down at

(38:07):
the forty five yard line. Waits almost broke that one,
and that play good for twenty one yards and a
Lambert transferring storage first down. Great counter looked there for
the Bulldogs as Jordan Waits was playing the wing back position.
Coach McCracken, they snuck him out there. Beautiful first and
ten now at the Jaguar forty five yard line. Waits CJ.

(38:27):
Johnson both in the backfield here, they'll give it no,
they'll play action and fuller wants to throw down field
and it is in and out of the hands a CJ.
Johnson at the twenty five yard line. CJ. Hannon and
his fingertips couldn't hang on. It's incomplete. Good looking throw
and good looking play there design by that offensive staff J. D.
Atkins and coach Brian Moore, sneaking the pass in there.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
Golly, that's a pretty good throw right now.

Speaker 8 (38:53):
Was could have caught that, yep, let him and ceej
just could and quite hang on second and ten man
in motion van from left to right and a flag
on the play and that is going to be a
procedure penalty against Opalaika. So that will move the Dogs
back five yards. That'll be back to midfield now and
we'll be a second out in five fifteen coming up.
Brother for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
That was our left end. Ah hit do that. That's
ten yards and penalties on both teams so far.

Speaker 8 (39:22):
Jalen Nelson saw him with some good run so far
and Nelson seven carries forty one yards on the season.
He's in the backfield now, second down, fifteen play. Nelson
gets the handoff here he goes.

Speaker 9 (39:34):
Busting through across the forty and Nelson races down close
to the first down marker.

Speaker 8 (39:38):
He'll be stopped around the thirty seven yard line. But
a good time run, big time run there by Jalen Nelson,
thirteen yards. He nearly got all of it back. He'll
set up a third and two Bulldogs go fast here too.
Fuller throws a scrip pass out to Washington Washington's got
the first down inside the thirty five as they tackle
Jalen down at the thirty four yard line. A three

(39:59):
yard pick up, but enough for the first down. Lambert
transfer in storage, first down. Bulldogs want to keep the
pace up too, is jag good job? Not a very
deep team. Bulldog's trying to gas him here first and
ten at the thirty three yard line, thirty four yard
line of Jack Fudder's doing a good job, gets the snap,
hands the ball off left side. Here again, this is

(40:20):
Jalen Nelson, Jalen in side the twenty five, Jalen inside
the twenty and Jalen down to the fifteen yard line.
What a good run by Jalen Nelson. That is a
nineteen yard run and a Lambert transfer in storage first down.

Speaker 5 (40:34):
Bye.

Speaker 8 (40:35):
Just keep them coming, coach, rolling new bodies in new
bodies out. Here's Jordan Waits in the ball game.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
Five first downs already, first.

Speaker 8 (40:44):
Quarter at the fifteen of Jaguar. First and ten and
here's Jordan Waits right side. Wait stays on his feet,
another fresh running back, and Jordan down close to the ten,
close to five yards. Good job, so I'll be a
five yard pickup. Bu u can get a first down
inside the five, so they'll be second down in five

(41:05):
at the ten yard line of Jag. Dog's leading seven nothing.
Trying to add to it as a whine under fifty
seconds remaining here in the first quarter. Waits will stay
in there at the tailback position to the right of Fuller.
Young Fuller gets the snamp, hands the ball off. Here's
Waits inside the five.

Speaker 9 (41:20):
Waits spinning his way and if the in'son for the
Bullog touched down Isaiah Howell with some good lead blocking
there for joorning Ways and the Dog's up thirteen nothing
on the Jag Jaguars with thirty seven seconds left here
in the first quarter, Rhys Beasley all for the extra
point with Cooper, who we may see get some snaps tonight.

Speaker 8 (41:45):
To hold. Cam Railey is your snapper. Here's the extra
point attempt, good snap, place kick up and good which
fourteen nothing Bulldogs leadings of the Jaguars of Jag and
that's scoring. Drive and power by Opal like the power

(42:06):
services hometown people working for you online at oplelakapower dot com.
Fourteen nothing, just thirty seven seconds left. We're back after
this time out. You listen to.

Speaker 9 (42:14):
Bulldog football on the kicker. Good starting for the Opaka Bulldogs.

Speaker 8 (42:26):
They leave the jag Jaguars fourteen nothing with just thirty
seven seconds left here in this first quarter. Opallika has
scored on both of their offensive possessions and the defense
has held jag in check. I think just two first
downs for the Jaguars so far, both of those on
quarterback scrambles, actually, one of them being a tipped pass

(42:49):
off the Bulldog defender into the arms of the wide
receiver too for Jag Reese Beasley a good boot in
this one, and no chance for the Jaguars. They just
turned around and waved goodbye to that one. Is it
sailed into the end zone and Jaguars will come out
with just thirty seven seconds remaining here in the first
quarter in the Bulldogs leading fourteen to nothing.

Speaker 5 (43:11):
We are right out one hundred yards rushing right now. Man,
first quarter. That is bad.

Speaker 8 (43:16):
Yeah, had a really good dose of everybody too. You
saw Jordan Waite, C J. Johnson, and Jalen Nelson all
get carries so far in the first quarter.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
This is their tenth play of the game offensive.

Speaker 8 (43:30):
Young for jag drops back. He wants to throw it's
going to be complete of the twenty five yard line.
Turning upfield at the twenty eight yard line. That pass
is good for eight yards and close to a first down.
And that pass was to Mardarian Smith. Second down in
two under seventeen. Now on the clock, running here in

(43:52):
the first quarter, maybe the final play from scrimmage here jagging,
no hurry down under nine as young gets the snap
and we'll give it to the tailback Williams. Williams got
a whole left side. Williams still on his feet across
the forty across the forty five cross midfield. Really tough
running there from Christian Williams. He carries it all the

(44:12):
way to the Bulldog forty five yard line. A seventeen
yard run to check that that was a twenty three
yard pickup and a jag at first down. We come
back to start quarter number two like a leading of fourteen.
Nothing you're listen, know, like a bulldog football here on
the kicker. Really neat recognition going on here in between quarters.

(44:47):
As members of the Tunnels to Towers Exhibit, which are
many members that were actually a president of nine to
eleven in New York Fire Department and parts of the
police force that were there that are working that exhibit
if you do get a chance, said that it's there
at Southern Union State Community College through Tuesday fourteen. Of
the Bulldogs. What the lead is? We start the second
quarter and the Jaguars at the Bulldog forty five yard line,

(45:09):
they'll throw here at near side. Jackson's got a forty
miss lips of tackle. He stays on his feet and
the Jaguars with some really tough running all the way
down inside the thirty. Now that is a sixteen yard
pickup down to the twenty nine yard line on that
reception was Christian Jackson for the Jaguars. So just not

(45:31):
good tackling near by the default.

Speaker 5 (45:33):
We missed two tackles right there.

Speaker 8 (45:35):
First and ten Kingston Young out of the shotgun, he
drops back, throws far side of the field. It is
hauled in and in his calt Maderien Smith for a
short pickup. They'll say he got down to the twenty
seven yard line, so he picks up just two yards
second down to eight. Norman Matthews, strong safety for the Bulldogs,

(45:56):
coming up making the stop. Eleven twenty left in the
first tab. Bull Dogs leading fourteen nothing over jag But
Jaguars offense is putting together a couple of big plays.
They're down to the Bulldog twenty seven yard line with
a second down and eight, two white outs left side,
one receiver to the right side, and here's a gift
to the court and running back Williams right side and ways, whoa,

(46:17):
he had a good cut at the twenty five, got
to the twenty three and he got a Hello, mister
hit by tray Stone. Job, big hit by the junior
linebacker tray Stone. It'll be third down and five coming
up here. Four the Jaguars at the twenty four yard
line of Opalaiko ten forty three, the clock running here

(46:37):
in the second quarter. This is gonna be four down
right here. Bub Oh, no doubt about that, coach, yep,
come on. Receivers to the left, two to the right,
five white empty backfield here for the quarterback Kingston Young,
maybe a quarterback keeper here. Young gets the shotgun snap. Yes,
it is right side, trying to find some running room,
and the Bulldogs do a nice job stringing that out

(46:58):
for no games remain tom on that side of the
defense collapsing things down. It might go for this and
it's gonna be fourth down and four play gain one
yard down to the twenty three. They'll need to get
to the nineteen for a first down in the line
of scrimmage of twenty three.

Speaker 5 (47:16):
Yeah, they gonna go for this.

Speaker 13 (47:18):
They are.

Speaker 8 (47:21):
Kingston Young out of the shotgun.

Speaker 5 (47:23):
Gonna throw something quick out here Van.

Speaker 8 (47:25):
Again the five line look maybe a quarterback keeper again
here and that time the offensive line looked like they move.
But now that they're saying the defensive opal like a move,
that may be a free first down on the Bulldogs.
Well wait and again the officials will huddle up here
defense trying to plead their case that it was against Jag.

(47:47):
Now the jag players look frustrated. Maybe going against them here.

Speaker 5 (47:51):
Yeah, I think it is. I think it's gonna be
against against Jag.

Speaker 8 (47:55):
I think be a huge call here, could be a
big first down the Jaguars. I believe it's going to
be all sides.

Speaker 13 (48:02):
How Ago.

Speaker 8 (48:04):
Oh the Jaguar coaching staff, Del Tolliver and his staff
can't believe it. First year coach Del Tolliver first season
he takes over for Roy up Church. He went two
and eight last season, so second coaching two years at
Jag and now that penalty will move it back to

(48:27):
the twenty eight yard line.

Speaker 5 (48:30):
We got to get good pressure on this guy.

Speaker 8 (48:32):
I don't let him actually the twenty nine yard line.
So this will be a fourth and ten and the
offense stays out here for Jag like running nine twenty
one remaining here in the first half, Trip's left, single
receiver right there is a tailback, Christian Williams winds up
to the right of Kingston Young Young hard count it's

(48:53):
the snap.

Speaker 5 (48:54):
Where was that?

Speaker 8 (48:56):
And I think they're saying the defense jump for o Palaika. No, no, no, no, no,
that fall star offiend I gotta quit list of those
Jag players. They gonna back them up five more yards
just we'll back it up to the thirty four yard line.
It will be a fourth down. They might read to punt. Yeah,
I would think I'll be fourth and fifteen coming up

(49:18):
for the Jags. I don't think they're gonna I don't
think they'll punt it here. They're gonna go for it again.
Nine oh three o'clock running here in the first half,
Bulldog's leading fourteen nothing. Get pressure on the sky now,
Jaguars will line it up again to go for it.

Speaker 9 (49:34):
Here fourth and fifteen at the Opaalanka thirty four yard line.

Speaker 8 (49:40):
Young drops back, steps up in the pocket. He is pressured.
He has sacked. Gonna go down to the thirty eight
yard line. A nice loss on the play in a
big time sacked by Tremaine Thomas, Baby TJ. And coach McCracken.
That is his fifth sack of the season. Yes, sir,
his seventh tackle for loss. Baby TJ can play some defense.

Speaker 13 (50:02):
Yes, sir, All right, good, let's get the ball. Take
you down there and get us another store.

Speaker 9 (50:09):
So Polaika starting field position will be from there on
thirty nine yard line, and.

Speaker 8 (50:19):
We'll see whit Cooper come in the ballgame. Wit Cooper
gonna run the quarterback here for the Bulldogs. Coach McCracken
and coach, Yes, sir, Jamie Cooper. His father told me
you coached him on the Yankees back at West Rich Park.
He said, make sure and let you know that. Oh gosh,
I don't remember that hand off. Here's Jalen Nelson running
left side. I had a boy, Jalen, Jalen with a
good carry, and Jalen carries it up to the forty

(50:40):
six yard line. That will be a pickup of seven yards. So, coach,
anything that Witt Cooper does from now on, we're gonna
say it. We're gonna credit it to his coach, pitch
coach Spence McCracken.

Speaker 5 (50:54):
Isn't that right, Mac? That's right back, I don't remember that.

Speaker 9 (50:58):
You have to enjoy about that later, all right, second
down play for the forty six play, action went pressured
and he got face mass down to the thirty.

Speaker 8 (51:06):
Two yard line. Head stays connected. Thank goodness, boy, that
was an ugly there's this mass. My goodness, there's a
holding in the secondary back there too. Boy, he pulled
went around in circles by his face mask.

Speaker 5 (51:20):
And these two are both gonna be against Jag. I think.

Speaker 8 (51:31):
Personal fould face mask a fifteen yard penalty. As the
referees mic has lifted out in the rain, it is
it has seen.

Speaker 13 (51:39):
It's better day, thirty five yards and penalties already for
for Drag.

Speaker 8 (51:46):
That'll march it down to the thirty nine yard line
of Jag and it will be a first and ten
eight oh five remaining here in the first half, Bulldogs
leading fourteen to nothing, and went Cooper, the sophomore quarterback
six foot one hundred and sixty pounder out of the shotgun.
Two white outs to the left side, singer receiver to
the right. Now they'll bring a man in motion, hand
off again to Jalen Nelson. Come on, and Jalen stood

(52:08):
up at the line of scrimmage. But Jalen able to
fall ahead for one yard down to around the thirty
eight yard line. They'll be second down and nine coming
up four opelaiko and we'll see Jordan Wait's check back
in the ballgame. Colt Dixon will check in the ballgame
as well at the tight end position. And also staying

(52:30):
in there is Eli brogd at number forty four. Second
down in nine at the thirty eight a jag fuller
or check that Coomber throws and it is.

Speaker 9 (52:42):
Caught by Jalen Washington inside the ten. Jalen inside the
five and he's down at the four yard line. What
a beauty of a throw there from Win Cooper as
he hooks up with Jalen Washington.

Speaker 8 (52:53):
Bulldogs will have it first and goal at the four
yard line.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
Man I told him that too, as long as it
was coach your baseball.

Speaker 8 (53:01):
First and goal inside the five down to the four
yard line. Jordan Waits the tailbag behind Wit Cooper. Two
white outs to the right side, Cooper out of the shotgun.
It's the stamp hands the ball to Waits. Wait slips
one tack in there. It's going to be down at
the two. It looks like helmets go flying too. Maybe

(53:23):
it'll be second down and goal coming up. Looks like
around the two yard line. That's a really good touch
on that pass too by Witt Cooper. Coach, wasn't it?

Speaker 5 (53:31):
Yes, sir? What was that penalty there?

Speaker 8 (53:34):
I think we've got a face mask all or I
don't know. Something went flying there. We'll wait and see
if I.

Speaker 5 (53:39):
Think you're right. I think you're right.

Speaker 15 (53:45):
On the offense thirty eight playing without his helmet, that's
a fifteen yard penalty.

Speaker 5 (53:50):
Take it down.

Speaker 8 (53:50):
Yeah, his helmet came off and he continued to play,
So that is illegal participation against Opelaika. Unfortunately, that's gonna
be a fifteen yard penalty. That's a tough penalty on
but it is a rule. It's going to back open
like a back now to the looks like the seventeen
seventeen yard line.

Speaker 13 (54:10):
See, we got to get used to it. When we
get into red zone like this. We can't make mistakes
like that.

Speaker 8 (54:16):
So second down and goal of the seventeen of jag
with Cooper again the quarterback for the Bulldogs. Jordan Waits
the running back to the right and Cooper out of
the shotgun. Cooper gonna roll to the right, looks downfield
and now Cooper will chuck it and run it and
get out of bounds. And picked up a good little

(54:37):
chunk of yards down around the eleven yard line. So
good scramble there for six yards, had a guy, but
it was mighty tight coverage downfield. And it'll be third
and goal from the eleven yard line for Opalaika. Dogs
have stored on every possession so far tonight. Trying to
remain perfect. Here with six sixteen left in the first half. C. J. Johnson.

(55:00):
Here is the tailback of white out on either side.
Here for the Bulldogs. Cooper the quarterback out of the shotgun,
and Wit gets the stamp, drops back pressured throws in
the end zone.

Speaker 9 (55:12):
Audrey Van back corner touchdown Bulldogs. What a throw by witness,
nice snack of drave. Van goes up in the back
corner for the Bulldog touchdown. Holy Smoke's coach m Kraken.

Speaker 8 (55:26):
Sophomore off the bench, comes in with super passes and
the Bulldogs put up six twenty nothing with six o
nine remaining here in the first half.

Speaker 5 (55:38):
Big play, big plight.

Speaker 8 (55:44):
Here's the point after a tenth extra point is up
and it is good score and drive and power by
Opal like a Power Services hometown people working for you
online at open like a power dot com Dogs on
top twenty one nothing was six o' nine remaining here
in the first half. We're back after this time out.

(56:05):
You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker. Big
high fives going around for mister Witt Cooper on the sideline.
Two great passes for the sophomore in his first varsity action,
coach McCracken. Boy, it didn't look like he had any
rust on those throws, did he.

Speaker 5 (56:26):
No, sir? No, sir, very good, very well done.

Speaker 8 (56:30):
Two great passes from Wit None bigger than that touchdown
passed to Andre Van.

Speaker 11 (56:36):
Yeah, that was a.

Speaker 8 (56:38):
It was an eleven yard touchdown pass.

Speaker 13 (56:40):
Is that right?

Speaker 8 (56:41):
There was eleven yard touchdown throw and catch there to
Andre Van back corner of the end zone. Six o'
nine remaining here in this first half of Playdogs up
twenty one nothing and coach McCracken one important thing. They
scored on every offensive possession. That's really good.

Speaker 13 (56:55):
That's twenty two snaps. Broplika has prepared to fifteen for Jack.

Speaker 8 (57:01):
What you think about old Wick Cooper Mac.

Speaker 14 (57:02):
McCracken, flashback right there too, his baseball days. Hey, I'd
be lying if it didn't just show a smile right
there on the sideline. That was a great throw right
there at Andre a good touchdown right there, and you
know we opened it up a little bit, started to
throwing the ball a little bit with the with the
mixed up with the run. So great job right there,
six oh nine and I know coach Moore wants one
more shutout and then get the ball and the end

(57:23):
zone again.

Speaker 8 (57:23):
Mac. You know there's a happy pop a hole in
the chain over there too, and Jamie Coop Coop is
a happy pap up there. He is all right twenty
one O. The Bulldogs leading six oh nine remaining, and
there's a kickoff a and it sails into the end
zone for a touchback and the Jaguars will have it
with six oh nine remaining. Here in the second quarter
of play, Auburn leading at ten to nothing, still over enterprise.

Speaker 5 (57:46):
Well that's four kickoffs in.

Speaker 8 (57:51):
Twenty seven fourteen Central leading Dothan over in Phoenix City
keeping update on those scores, and here twenty one nothing
ople like a leading the jag jag Wars of the
Jaguar offense back out. They'll start from there on twenty
yard line, first and ten for the Jaguars. Quarterback stays

(58:16):
Kingston Young. He'll go out of the shotgun. He drops back,
wants to throw here near sides. Got a completion to
Marlowe Harris, and Harris spins up to the thirty two
yard line. Good completion though, good for twelve yards, and
that's a Jaguar first down. Jamle Griffin on the stop
for the Bulldogs. Five point fifty eight remaining.

Speaker 5 (58:42):
We played, we can't play on that saft fan. They
throw it down the field.

Speaker 8 (58:47):
Kingston Young out of the shotgun for the Jaguars, gets
the snap, drops back, pressured in his face, throws and
it is overshot. Good coverage thereby. Brayden Howard on number
eight mer Darien Smith incomplete second down in ten coming
up for the Jaguars. Clock stopped here with five forty
one remaining here the first.

Speaker 5 (59:06):
Half battle on our side of the fifty.

Speaker 8 (59:18):
Second down in ten coming up for the Jaguars. Five
forty one remaining here in the first half. Jaguars second
down and ten from there on thirty two yard line.
Kingston Young out of the shotgun, drops back, looks steps
right now a roll here, right, flag comes in, gonna
be holding on the Jaguars and a good tackle in
the backfield by Braden Howard, but it looks like it

(59:42):
will be a hold against.

Speaker 5 (59:45):
I think it's two holding the Jags. Both against the Jags.

Speaker 8 (59:51):
Holding on the offense. Break it down, all right, So
a hold against the Jaguar. Good pressure there by Elijah
Oden on that play too. By thirty four left clock
has stopped after that penalty, and uh, I think coach

(01:00:14):
Moore maybe saying he wants to decline that penalty. All right,
So the penalty is declined, it'll be third down for
the Bulldogs. It'll be third and ten.

Speaker 5 (01:00:27):
Only biggest third and thirteen.

Speaker 13 (01:00:33):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 8 (01:00:33):
Yeah, they did lose three yards on that play, so yes,
we get some good pressure here. Yeah. Back to the
twenty nine is the line of scrimmage. King out of
the shotgun. Our Young drops back rather now he's flushed
up in the pocket, steps up, wants to run and
got a big hit for the Bulldogs. That was Josh
Davis coming over and then really put a hit on

(01:00:53):
the quarterback Kingston Young. It'll be fourth down and about
seven coming up for the Jaguars, and the punting team
trots in. He gets to the thirty five yard line,
scrambles for six, but that is it, and now Andre
Van will drift back around the thirty five yard line
and I'll wait this punt from Meridarien Smith, who plays

(01:01:14):
wide receiver for the Jags. Now I'll try it back
out the punt man.

Speaker 13 (01:01:17):
They are zero for three on third down conversion so
far very good. I got a feeling we gonna we
might get this.

Speaker 8 (01:01:28):
Punt at punt high snap. Smith comes down with it though,
just goided away though, get fair catch called for and
it hit one of the Jaguar players. It should be down,
but they've yet to if yet to die. They come
in and finally spot it down. I think it'll be
around the forty six yard line is where Opalaika will
have it first and ten. They've scored on every offensive
series so far and the Bulldogs will try to keep

(01:01:50):
things perfect as they come out and work from their
on forty six yard line. First in ten, we saw
wit Cooper Lee the AE last offensive SERI and it
was pretty good. And he gets another shot here at quarterback,
and it'll be Jalen Nelson who works the running back
position here for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 5 (01:02:08):
Really, hey, he showed some good, good moves tonight.

Speaker 8 (01:02:12):
He really has done well, average about five point nine
yards per carry coming into tonight. First down carry goes
to Jalen Jalen forty five Jalen inside the forty thirty
five hit at the thirty yard line and he's down
close to the twenty nine yard line. There's a good
run there by mister Jalen Nelson. Coach McCracken owned Q for.

Speaker 9 (01:02:31):
A twenty five yard run at the Labor Transfer and
storage first down.

Speaker 5 (01:02:35):
Awesome.

Speaker 13 (01:02:37):
You know Jalen was the fastest guy on our football
team last year, and we know when they tied him.

Speaker 5 (01:02:43):
I don't know where that's still t or not.

Speaker 8 (01:02:46):
First down and ten at the Jaguar twenty nine yard line.
Cooper the quarterback out of the shotgun Bulldog's leading twenty
one nothing Cooper drops back fade pass and it is
hauled him.

Speaker 9 (01:02:57):
I Jalen washing it the five. He turns around and
runs back right. He's in the inside touchdown Bullogs. How
about that twenty nine yard touchdown passed from went Cooper
his second touchdown on back to back drives. This time
he finds Jay Wise for a touchdown. How many are
twenty nine yard touchdown yards?

Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
Awesome? Awesome?

Speaker 8 (01:03:23):
And the Bulldogs punching in here? Twenty seven nothing, coach,
Bulldogs moving on down the field like they're rowing a
gondola down the field.

Speaker 13 (01:03:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:03:32):
Absolutely, here's the point after a tempt flags down movement,
I think or off sides. I think off sides against
the Jags. I wish you could just decline those try
here go they blew it, but they blew it dead,

(01:03:53):
so they did didn't but I guess you got to
blow it when the contacts made. But the extra point
went through, and now Reese Visa will have to kick
it again. Good pass with sideline too there by Marshall Myers.
We see hit. He threw that from the thirty five
yard line, almost hit his snapper in the back of
the head.

Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
All right, listen to this ten big plays for us.
One big play for.

Speaker 8 (01:04:17):
Jack Yeah, the quarterback that just chunked that twenty nine
yard touchdown pass with Cooper the holder on this one
good snap place down and the kick is up and
the kick is good. Twenty eight nothing, three fifty six
to go in the first half. That scoring drive power
by Opal like a power services hometown people working for
you online at oplelakapower dot com. Three fifty six to

(01:04:38):
go in the first half. All Bulldogs twenty eight to
nothing here on the kicker score update from across the way,
Auburn High School is leading thirteen seven over Enterprise. But
a closer ballgame there down the road. Here it is
twenty eight nothing, all open like over the Jack Jaguars

(01:05:00):
of jag That kick will sail into the end zone
by Reee Beasley.

Speaker 5 (01:05:07):
That's five at the end zone for Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:05:09):
That was another good kick there by Reece Beasley.

Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
Five out of five.

Speaker 8 (01:05:14):
On sophomore quarterback off the bench for the Bulldogs has
two touchdowns, that being with Cooper yep who has looked
really good, but.

Speaker 13 (01:05:23):
Trey Stone and Caden Harrison Elijah Olden that really picked
it up for Bert's who's hurt and they're playing some fine.

Speaker 8 (01:05:31):
Football central all over Dothan forty two seven. Shot can
score there after what Dothan did last week.

Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
But well, you never know what happens when you go
over to Phoenix City.

Speaker 8 (01:05:42):
Cooper three for three, seventy six yards and two touchdowns
in his work off the bench. Pretty good for the
sophomore quarterback. Yes, sir, so here comes the Jaguars. Now,
I'll start from there on twenty yard line. Trailing here
twenty eight to nothing. Out of the shot gun is Young.
He drops back, dumps it off a good tackle. Ball

(01:06:04):
popped out, they'll say, incomplete, a really good hit by
Caden Harris the linebacker, and Davie or Thomas there as well.
So to be second down in ten for the Jaguars,
three forty one remaining. Let's head down in just a moment.
We'll get back mc cracking with a sideline report. He
is well overdue a lot to talk about his former

(01:06:29):
pee week coach, pitch star and quarterback. Empty backfield here
for Young. He'll throw, try to set up a scream,
but a flag blows this one dead. It's going to
be a procedure penalty against jag.

Speaker 5 (01:06:44):
Right at the stout bull start.

Speaker 13 (01:06:47):
That's fit fifty fifty yards and penalties are drag.

Speaker 5 (01:06:54):
Both mount up and ricks. They go, we got twenty
five and they got fifty.

Speaker 8 (01:07:00):
Yeah, that'll back it up to the fifteen yard line.
It'll be a second down and fifteen now and same formation.
We'll see if the Jags go back to the same play.
They've got four wide outs to the left, single receiver
to the right, and they will they'll throw here near
side and again that same play, this time wide open.
Twenty five flag down though is a cut down the
receiver out of bounds around the thirty three yard line.

(01:07:20):
Looks like around a seventeen yard pickup, but gotta be
a hold against Jaguarks. Wait for the white hat comes in.

Speaker 5 (01:07:29):
On the offense.

Speaker 8 (01:07:33):
Place second that off bag. Gonna have to check. That's
Mike frequency there for the official. He's he's going in
and out on us tonight in just a moment. What's
you guy down there on the sideline?

Speaker 14 (01:07:48):
Mac, Yeah, you know you're just talking about coming in
and everything. And you know when when he was younger,
men men and Dad were you know, two of his
coaches and everything, and which's always been like the sidelines
as and you know what I'm saying to you, you know,
not very vocal, but he leads by example of what
he does on the field and all ways, so you know,
it doesn't surprise me what he's doing right now.

Speaker 5 (01:08:05):
A lot of them.

Speaker 14 (01:08:06):
Everybody's rallying around here with you know, with you know,
with Fuller and and everybody. They're having a good time
right now.

Speaker 8 (01:08:11):
Boys, all right, third down play, busted play. Quarterback gonna
take off and run and gonna be brought down across
the ten up to eleven yard line. He picked up
one yard. Elijah Oden comes in there and makes the stop.
As that was a busted play. Kingston Young had nowhere
to go for that one. And this will be third
and a mile coming up here for the Jaguars, and
Bullda was trying to get the football back with two

(01:08:32):
forty nine remaining here in the first half, chance to
putting this one well out of reach with one more
score here.

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
There are a zero for three on third down conversions.

Speaker 8 (01:08:48):
Out of the shotgun, a four wide look to the right,
single receiver to the left side to throw here near
south right. Smith Smith were out running the defense though,
and he has got a first down. Boy, Smith was
almost brought down the backfield and that screen pass, but
he was able to explode down the far sidelines and
he gets out of bounds. Looks like at the thirty
five yard line for around twenty five yards and enough

(01:09:13):
for a Jaguar first down.

Speaker 13 (01:09:14):
We didn't do good with our coverage out there. They've
had four receivers out there and just threw a screen
out there. When you have people out there.

Speaker 8 (01:09:22):
Coach, I can tell you what's coming here. Same play
this side. They've got four wide outs to the left.
Now seeing a receiver to the right and Young out
of the shotgun. Young drops back here. It is again
the screen. This time it falls incomplete, and it'll bring
up a second down and ten.

Speaker 5 (01:09:41):
He's six of eleven the quarterback.

Speaker 8 (01:09:48):
My goodness, it central is all over Dothan. They just
put up fifty now forty nine to seven, shock and
score from across the way.

Speaker 12 (01:10:07):
Here.

Speaker 8 (01:10:07):
It'll be second down in ten, up for the Jaguars,
a jag for their own thirty five yard line. Second
and ten. Young flushed out of the pocket, pressured by
Carson Riddle. Now he'll throw and dump here near side.
They'll say it is complete and receiver here near side,
breaks a tackle of the forty five, stays on his feet.
He's up close to midfield for another Jaguar first down,

(01:10:28):
and it's gonna pick up fifteen yards a well, like
a busted play there, good pressure by Carson Riddle in
the backfield. The quarterback was able to scamper and finally
jump it off on the run here to the near side,
and another first down at midfield. Now are the Jaguars
under two minutes to go here in the first half
of play twenty eight to nothing our score hope like

(01:10:50):
a leading Jaguars trying to find the end zone for
the first time tonight again that four wide receiver look
kind of diam of in formation to the right single
receiver here to the left side, and you again will
throw a screen pass and it's hauled in and caught
by Medarien Smith. This time Braydon Howard and the quarterbacks
and safeties come up and say no, not the same
play again, and it'll be a loss back inside the

(01:11:12):
forty five down around the forty three yard line. Come
out there comes Opolaika taking one of those timeouts with
one thirty five remaining here in the second quarter, trying
to get a chance to get the football back leading
twenty eight to nothing, and we'll step aside as well.
Time out on the field. You're listening to Bulldog football
here on the kicker out of the timeout, Young for

(01:11:34):
the Jags drives back punk face got a receiver down
feel nice play there and bat it away. That was
a really good play by Leland Bell as he knocked
it away from the intended receiver Christian Jackson at around
the thirty two yard line and completed. It'll be third
down and long here for the Jaguars. Lne of scrimmage
there on forty three yard line. Really good play there

(01:11:56):
in the second there. That ball hung in the air
for a while. Really good throw there by and Young
they had they had good pressure on him. Then he
barely got that off. So the Jaguars from their on
forty three and that stops the clock too, so the
Bulldogs don't have to burn a time out. One twenty
seven left and the clock has stopped. To begin that
four wide receiver diamond formation to the left and one

(01:12:17):
riding one wide receiver to the right for Kingston Young
Young out of the shotgun but gets the slaves. But
we had to lay a game, lay a game.

Speaker 15 (01:12:27):
Step on the offense, five yard put.

Speaker 5 (01:12:31):
Down, sixty five yards in penalties.

Speaker 8 (01:12:36):
Bestavia Hills leading Hillcrest two in that region twenty seven
to ten. And that was a Hillcrest team last week
had knocked off Hoover and Hoover. And that's the uh
that region is who's going to be paired up with
Region two our region come playoff time Region three. So
first round one through four will take on that region.
So that's going to be an interesting starting to the

(01:12:57):
playoffs when that rolls around third and twenty two. Now
for the Jaguars, out of the shotgun drops back quarterback
Pressured gets the sideline though, and he cuts across the
fifty but a nice saving stop there by Brayden Howard
at the forty four yard line, but not before a
thirteen yard scamper.

Speaker 13 (01:13:20):
Jag.

Speaker 8 (01:13:21):
There's the Jags. Now take a time out as a
fourth down is coming up here and certainly looking at
going for it. But if they don't make it here,
you give opal Like a decent short field to work
with here as they're at the forty four of opal
Like in a fourth and four when we come back,
all right, so we'll stay right here, macdown the sideline, Mack,

(01:13:41):
what you got, Yeah, man.

Speaker 14 (01:13:43):
I was going to tell you our administration has done
a tremendous job here pregame, you know, mid game, post game,
they honored at the end of the first quarter for
those who aren't here, they honored some New York firefighters
who are there on ground zero on September eleventh. And
it's just a very very good tribute to them and

(01:14:04):
was standing ovation by this crowd. And we know how
that day affected every every American here, So it was
it was an honor and a tribute to them. And
that Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Van is still over at
Southern Union. If nobody's gone by and saw that, I
know a lot of people have, I don't know. I
think it ends either there till Tuesday. Tuesday, and so

(01:14:27):
I buys everybody to stop buying and check it out
and you know, give you respect. It's that was a
very beautiful moment right there.

Speaker 10 (01:14:34):
Van.

Speaker 8 (01:14:34):
Yeah, it's a free thing too. So if you get
a chance to go by and see you check out
opal like a dash al dot gov. They've got all
the info in the and the hours of operation for that.
But out of the time out here going to be
fourth and fourth for the Jaguars are going for it
at the Bulldog forty four yard line. Quarterback thought about it. Actually,
this is lake La King Anderson, the quarterback the start
of the season, in the game, and he's going to
be brought down and that'll be a turnover on downs.

(01:14:57):
Norman Matthews brings him down in the backfield, so they slipped.
Then La King Anderson, the junior who started the season
at quarterback, he goes down for a lost turnover on downs.
The Bulldogs will have it with one o eight left
and Opalika will have it from their own forty seven
yard line, So a short field coach, and we'll see
what Cooper come back out. He's thrown two touchdown passes

(01:15:18):
on back to back drives. We'll see if he can
march the Dogs down the field.

Speaker 5 (01:15:21):
Ear they are zero for four on third and fourth
down conversions.

Speaker 8 (01:15:25):
Trips to the right side, it'll be two receivers to
the left side, so a five wide look here. Now
Cooper will move Jordan Wait's over to the right side,
so it'll be four wide outs to the right. Bulldogs
trying to get a line correctly here down to eight
on the plate, like plenty of time for Cooper. Cooper
drops back, throws a screen here to Washington, got a
block at midfield, Washington cross the forty five. Washington wisely

(01:15:47):
gets out of bounds at the forty two yard line,
and that will be good for eleven yards a Lambert
transfer and storage first down, so they'll mark it down
to the Jaguar forty two fifty nine seconds remaining here
in the first half, waits to the left of Cooper,
out of the shotgun. Two wide outs either side, and

(01:16:10):
Cooper taking his time. When the clock stopped at fifty nine. Now,
Cooper drops back, looks right, keeps his eyes down field.
Got all day. Now Cooper steps up in the pocket,
dumps it off short to Andre Van Good wise throw
there on the sideline, then gets out of bound, stops
the clock with forty eight seconds left. They'll mark it
down at the thirty seven yard line, just a five

(01:16:33):
yard pickup, but it'll be second and four. Actually, they'll
mark it to the thirty six, so it'll be second
down and four. Clock stop with forty eight seconds left.
Five two receivers either side, empty backfield, though with Eli
Brogden the full back to the left of Cooper. Cooper
gets the snamp, looks right, throws and down towards the sidelines,

(01:16:57):
making the grab as Jordan waits at the thirty one
yard line. Play good for five yards. It will stop
the clock as they move the chains for a Lambert
transferring storage first down. Now the clock will wind under
thirty eight to go. Bulldogs leading twenty eight, nothing trying
to add to it. At the thirty one of the Jags.
Cooper drops back, looks to the right, throws in underthrew

(01:17:18):
that time wide receiver Andre Van and it's incomplete clock
stout with twenty four seconds left. Bulldogs do have two
time outs, second and ten coming up at the Jaguar
thirty one. C. J. Johnson checks in the ball game
Now for the Bulldogs, well see if Opelika tries to

(01:17:39):
go run play here just twenty four seconds to work with.
Though Keelan Banks also one of the receivers to the left,
play action, They'll throw Jalen Want a nice snag inside
the twenty. Jalen makes a nad miss at the fifteen.

Speaker 9 (01:17:54):
Inside the ten, Jalen spends his way down to the
six yard line for a Lambert transferring storage first down,
and that is a timeout taken by coach Brian Moore
with fifteen seconds left and a lambort transferring storage first down.

Speaker 8 (01:18:08):
Coach, that throw you saw it just like I did.
That throw led Jalen Washington coach to his right and
he was able to turn up field.

Speaker 5 (01:18:18):
Did you see that?

Speaker 8 (01:18:19):
It was a good throw by Witt Cooper.

Speaker 5 (01:18:21):
Oh? Man, you know he's got a good nice release too.
I really like him.

Speaker 8 (01:18:26):
Fifteen seconds left, first and goal from the six yard
line coming up out of the time out, Opelika will
still have one timeout remaining twenty eight to nothing the
score right now, and we'll see what opelaikah? Where they
go here? You got to run play still, You got
one run play if you want to run it because

(01:18:48):
you got the time out in your back pocket. Well,
you got a little roll out maybe here for Witt Cooper.
Coach McCracken.

Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
Yeah, let's see, fifteen seconds left.

Speaker 8 (01:18:57):
It's on Cooper seven for eight right now, one hundred
and one hundred and twenty three yards, two touchdowns. Pretty
good for the sophomore off the bench.

Speaker 5 (01:19:05):
Thank You's pretty mauch this way and oh.

Speaker 8 (01:19:08):
They're gonna go high backfield here Waits and Johnson from
the six yard line, first in goal with fifteen seconds left.
It'll be a handoff to Waits in the backfield. He's
gonna be brought down for no gain and coach Moore
will have to come in and burn his final time out,
so it'll believe eleven seconds left. So not what he
was wanting there, but we'll have time to think this

(01:19:30):
one over. And we got homecoming at auburnon and they
lead twenty to seven at the half, forty nine to seven.
Gothing all over Central and Carver right now, shutting out
Smith's Station twenty six to nothing. Lee Scott also at Beulah,
a tight game there, twenty one to sixteen at the half,

(01:19:51):
Lynette shutting out Barbara County thirty seven nothing in real
Town leading Ranburn twenty eight to seven. Jason Lee will
have some more scores around the end area coming up
at halftime, so don't miss out on that. Coach McCracken
will also have his cooking segment, brand new segment here
at halftime, cooking with Coach McCracken.

Speaker 5 (01:20:13):
Mac.

Speaker 8 (01:20:13):
I slipped that one and he didn't even see it coming.

Speaker 5 (01:20:15):
I heard it.

Speaker 8 (01:20:17):
I was just I'm just waiting on coach to see
if he's there, you know, like.

Speaker 5 (01:20:22):
Make mean permitted cheese sampling got.

Speaker 8 (01:20:26):
Second, second and goal from the seven. Here's Cooper play action,
wit rolls right, looks down field, throws on the back
of the end.

Speaker 9 (01:20:34):
Zone and Cam Raley did he cut down with touchdown
doll dolls. Cam Rayley somehow got a foot down in
the back corner of the zone.

Speaker 8 (01:20:44):
Touchdown, Dodos win.

Speaker 9 (01:20:46):
Cooper three drives, three fasting touchdowns and that is Cam
Rayley in the back of the end zone with a touchdown.

Speaker 8 (01:20:55):
There's a deep staffer coaching there. Life receiver. I got
to see the replay of that one. What a snag
by Railey in the back corner of the end zone
by the marching band. He might have went into the
tuba player to get that one. As they're lined up the.

Speaker 9 (01:21:10):
Spirit of the South ready to take the field here
to have time.

Speaker 5 (01:21:15):
Awesome.

Speaker 8 (01:21:16):
Here's went Cooper to hold and Rhese Beasley for the
extra point. Thirty four nothing. And here's the point after
up and it is good thirty five nothing. Bulldeves are
perfect on every single drive tonight. They've scored touchdowns and
that is the end of the first half.

Speaker 13 (01:21:34):
Man, that's number fifty who kicked the extra point right
there in front of you, all right, a little guy. Yeah,
so that'll be the backup. You got his name, yeah
that is we'll get what a name that I know.

Speaker 5 (01:21:55):
He's a nice one.

Speaker 8 (01:21:56):
They got a nickname for him. Well, but a great
kickup and good for him, and we'll get that. We'll
get to make sure we get that one right here
and a half. Thirty five nothing is our score, and
we are at the half all Bulldogs win. Cooper the
story of the first half of the Bulldogs coming in
with three passing touchdowns for the sophomore and the Bulldogs
take a thirty five nothing lead into the breaks. Hear

(01:22:17):
of the South Marching band coming up to perform here
at Bulldogs Stadium. And we are at the half. That
scoring drive by the way, power by ople, like of
Power Services, hometown people working for you. Before we head
to the locker room, we'll get down with coach Brian Moore,
Mac mccrackett standing by.

Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
Thanks a lot, Coach Moore.

Speaker 14 (01:22:33):
You know you talked to him before the game and
you say, guys, we have not played opal like a football.
We have not been us for the first three games.
Tell me how you felt about this first half and
a good to see what Cooper get out there. Yeah,
he played really well spinning that thing around.

Speaker 8 (01:22:47):
Proud of him.

Speaker 11 (01:22:49):
It was nice to see a lot of different guys.
Camra ready catch the touchdown there. You know, I think
we're five for five on drives offensively, so that was
good to see some more urgency and consistency up front
by the offensive line, So that was really nice to
see as well as they're starting to jail. I thought
they had a really good week of practice. We kicked
it pretty good kick offs. Two of them were in
the middle of the field. Luckily went the ends on,

(01:23:09):
but we got to be a little better there. And
then defensive we got tackle a little better. We you know,
let them lose a couple of really long third downs
third and twenty and thirty and seventeen they converted. You know,
we got to get them off the field right there.
So we've just got to run and tackle a little
bit better and handle that quad stuff that they're doing
a little bit better.

Speaker 14 (01:23:23):
Like coach, I know, another one that stands out real
big to your penalties and then you want to share
those up.

Speaker 5 (01:23:27):
Definitely it was better. I mean it was better.

Speaker 11 (01:23:29):
We still had I think one on special teams, but
it was definitely cleaner. I mean they've obviously been heavily
penalized and with some holes and stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:23:36):
On the perimeter, but I thought for the most part
it was cleaner.

Speaker 11 (01:23:39):
You know, the challenging games like this is to get
our kids going, and especially after three really really tough
ball games, physical games, and I thought our kids responded
really proud of the efforts so far.

Speaker 8 (01:23:49):
Let's go talk to them. Coach, thanks mine, all right,
thanks so much. Matt mccrackley. Coach Brian Moore. Happy to
be up thirty five nothing here at the break and
you're listening up like a Bulldog football. We're back with
more at the half after this time out, listened to
Bulldog football. I'm the kicker. Gory back to Bulldog Stadium

(01:24:11):
as we get ready for the second half. Hopefully I
a leading thirty five to nothing, being Ridge a lossid
coach Mince McCracken, Jason Lee, might McCracken roam on our sidelines.
Bulldogs with a commanding lead here at the half and
set to get the football. Here's a short kick and
the Bulldogs bibbled it and hit the turf and Jag

(01:24:33):
is gonna come up with it at the twenty eight
yard line and C. J. Johnson, I think, came up
trying to scoop it up, went off his foot and
I turn over there by hopeful I can so Jack
will have the momentum here to start the second half.
So not the way you wanted to start the second

(01:24:54):
half there, Coach McCracken.

Speaker 5 (01:24:56):
No, sir, I thought he was gonna catch the ball.

Speaker 13 (01:24:59):
But you know, if he hadn't a cart it, if
he hadn't tried to go for it, they would have
got in any way.

Speaker 5 (01:25:03):
It's a perfectly kickball.

Speaker 8 (01:25:05):
Yeah, it was short, and now JAG's gonna have the
football down inside the upen like a thirty at the
twenty nine yard line, and again they line up with
that four diamond look. Punk faked and this time Adarien
Smith quarterback keeper down the sidelines and he's got a
first down inside the twenty and he's gonna be down

(01:25:26):
around the fifteen yard line. That is going to be
good for fourteen yards and a Jag first down.

Speaker 5 (01:25:32):
Yeah that was he let that guy get outside of him.
The end over there on that side. That's one of
the Thomas boys.

Speaker 8 (01:25:42):
Yeah, Mendarian Smith is now running the quarterback position here.
He looked left and again it's gonna take off and
run for it and gonna be tackled down around the
eleven yard line. A four yard pick up there by
Madarian Smith. Tray Stone on the tackle for the Bulldogs.
So this is the third different quarterback we've seen for Jag.

Speaker 5 (01:26:09):
Okay, we got to do good here, don't let them.

Speaker 8 (01:26:13):
It'll be second out and six coming up for the
Jaguars who are just underway here to start the third quarter.
And our Darien Smith, who's played wide receiver also punts
for Jag, is running quarterback now. Christian Williams to his right.
He gets the snaff it'll be a quarterback keeper right side,
cuts it inside the tent, slips the tackle inside the five,

(01:26:34):
and he spends his way into the end zone for
the jag Jaguar touchdown. And really good speedster there, Madarien Smith,
and he gets into the end zone. The senior wide
receiver turned quarterback here in this game. Yeah, and he
found a little something there offensively, and they got a
short field to work with. And now jag and that's
where he got on the scoreboard here, thirty five to six.

Speaker 5 (01:26:56):
You turn the ball over first five minutes and the
third quarter.

Speaker 8 (01:27:02):
Yeah, that's one of those things coach McCracken preaches. They're
gonna go for two here, and I believe it's gonna
be the same play again. Probably the quarterback keeper here
by Smith, he gets the snab. No, he'll throw it
and scooped it to Marlow Harris short arm that one.
It scoots across the turf and the conversion they're no good.

(01:27:23):
But the Jaguars get on the board. Was six thirty
five to six our score and Opalaikah will get the
football and we come back. You listen to Bulldog football
here on the kicker Jaguars line up to kick off

(01:27:43):
after a turnover by the Bulldogs on the last kick.
See if the Bulldogs get a better return here. Yeah,
we got to answer that that first drive right there,
and it was a good short kick by the Jaguars
and got the turnover and they made the Bulldog by
putting up a touchdown. It'll be another short kick, takes
another hob but this time andre Van's got into the

(01:28:05):
twenty three yard line. Trying to set up a turn
here near side, slips one tackle, stays on his feet
at the thirty one, cuts it back left side of
the field, and all those broken got up to the
forty four yard line. He has such a dangerous return
man with the football.

Speaker 5 (01:28:19):
Good moves. That's good good return.

Speaker 8 (01:28:23):
How about Wit Cooper on the kickoff return team too.
Gant on the tackle there for the Jaguars and Opealaika
will have it from their own forty four yard line.
After that good return there by, Andre Van and now
Fuller Young will come back in the ballgame get a
chance to play quarterback.

Speaker 12 (01:28:42):
C J.

Speaker 8 (01:28:42):
Pink will also be the running back for the Bulldogs
from the on forty four yard line. It'll be a
hand off. Pink is laid down in the backfield back
at the forty yard line. He was tatooating there.

Speaker 13 (01:28:55):
Yeah, we didn't block anybody. Then somebody really really didn't
do way all there on the.

Speaker 8 (01:29:00):
Front because I and Corey Posey is on the stop
there for the Jaguars. So a lost back to the
forty one. Now it'll be second down in thirteen afore
the Bulldogs see Jaguars come across the line of scrimmage
early there and that will be a five yard penalty

(01:29:21):
against the Jags, So the Bulldogs will get five three
yards up to the forty six yard line will be
the line of scrimmage now for the Bulldogs and will
be second down in eight as full or Young again
in a quarterback here for the Bulldogs. Two white outs
right side, hard count no bite that time by the Jags.
They'll check the sideline. We'll open like and change the

(01:29:43):
play two wide right, single receiver left side here for young.
Young gets the snap, hands the ball to the tail
back at CEJ. Pink, cuts it inside, Pink inside the
fifty to forty five, gets the sidelines and finally forced
out of hounds inside the thirty five down around the
thirty two yard line, and.

Speaker 5 (01:30:04):
Good blocking on that right side.

Speaker 8 (01:30:07):
Got down to the thirty two yard line. So that
was good for twenty two yards and a Lambert transfer
in storage first down, and there's an injured player down
also for the Bulldogs. Looks like big Darius Winlow and
certainly can't afford to get him banged up. No, we
don't need to get any more lineman hurt now and
Darius is hobbled and banged up and coming off on

(01:30:29):
his own power. So that's good to see. Let's go
send Darius to the showers for the rest of this one.
We'll get some substitutions on that defense or the offensive line.
We'll get to you shortly. But I formation here as
Young will go under center first and ten of the
Jaguar thirty two yard line hand off, we'll go to CJ. Johnson.

(01:30:50):
CJ inside the twenty five cut at the twenty inside
the ten five.

Speaker 9 (01:30:54):
CJ will walk it in, touchdown Bulldogs one. Another good
run by c J. Johnson, his second. That's down of
the night. With nine thirty three to play here in.

Speaker 13 (01:31:03):
The third quarter, that offensive lineman that came in there
was Robert Woods came in there.

Speaker 8 (01:31:11):
Look at Darius coming back to the game with the
extra point team he is he's coming in on the
extra point here.

Speaker 5 (01:31:17):
They bribably don't want him out there. But that's okay.

Speaker 8 (01:31:22):
Yeah, that was a good job. Sixty two Robert Woods
who checked in the ballgame there block it on that one.
Nine thirty to play. It's forty one to six with
Cooper to hold and again this will be an extra
point up and good by Cloud Keyo. So that is
Cloud Keyo his second extra point at scoring drive and
power by Hoople like a power services hometown people working

(01:31:44):
for you online at oplelakapower dot Com forty two to six,
all Bulldogs in this one. Nine thirty to play in
the third quarter, and you're listening to Bulldog football on
the kicker.

Speaker 3 (01:32:04):
CJ.

Speaker 8 (01:32:04):
Johnson second touchdown of the bull ball game and Opal
like and leading forty two and a six over the
jag Jaguars nine thirty to play. Still here in the
third quarter. Score update from Doug Sandford Stadium, aulbur leading
Enterprise twenty three to seven. Central Phoenix City leading big
overdoted in Carver, Montgomery shutting out Smith's Station twenty six
to nothing. This kick is short by Cloud and it'll

(01:32:28):
be filled it and dropped inside the five, and now
the Jaguars are in trouble and there's a holding flag down.
Good tackle there in special teams down around the twenty
three yard line that was a good stop by the Bulldogs.
Was look like Rico or Aiden McCullough making the stop
there for the Bulldogs and a flag down on the play.

(01:32:50):
This made back the Jaguars back up even more we will.

Speaker 5 (01:32:54):
Walk in the back.

Speaker 8 (01:32:55):
All the receiving chiefs happit a system goal for so
so block in the back. As you heard there, there'll
be a ten yard penalty from the spot of the foul.
So the Jaguars are going to be backed up here
near they're on end zone to start this drive. With
nine twenty two left to play here in the third quarter,
Opeca leading forty two to six.

Speaker 10 (01:33:16):
Cee J.

Speaker 8 (01:33:16):
Johnson two touchdowns with Cooper there in the first half
eight to nine at one hundred and thirty yards passing
three touchdowns. Buller you on the last drive out mainly
in the handoff department, but both quarterbacks get an opportunity
here and here is a quarterback keeper again by Madarian

(01:33:44):
Smith and a short pickup. They had gotten one yard
mind as scrimmage was the seven got up to around
the eighth yard line. Tray Stone on the stop for
the Bulldogs again, the linebacker coming up making a nice play.
Second down to nine. Now for the under nine minutes
to go here in the third quarter, Just.

Speaker 5 (01:34:08):
Stop that run. Don't let them have any big plays.

Speaker 8 (01:34:12):
Quarterback Smith again with a keeper right side, broke one
tackle but couldn't out run the Bulldog defense. Nice stop
over there on the far side of the field by
the Bulldogs. Xavier Thomas on the stop for the Bulldogs,
and it'll be third down and four coming up under
eight thirty to play. A line of scrimmage will be

(01:34:41):
the thirteen yard line here for the Jaguars. Third and
four again that diamond look and the Bulldogs saying the
offensive line move that right side, and everybody pointing, including
Carson Riddling was a false start against the Jaguar. It's
gonna be a five yard penalty and that's gonna back

(01:35:04):
them up out of the eight yard line. It'll be
a third and nine now eight oh six to play
here in the third quarter again that diamond look with
four wide receivers stacked to the left side for the
quarterback Madarian Smith. He'll throw near side. It is Camp

(01:35:24):
turning up field across the twenty first down run for
the Jaguars up to the thirty yard line on that
reception was number twenty eight save the iron Gilchrist. Xavier
Thomas makes the stop.

Speaker 5 (01:35:37):
We didn't have everybody position right dead. We didn't run
to the ball. It's a good played by.

Speaker 8 (01:35:45):
Them at twenty two yard to pick up on that
throw and catch. Frustrating coach because you know it's coming
to when they get to that formation. They've ran that
play a million times, and I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:35:56):
Where our two other corners were going. They just jumped
to the middle of the field and they read right
by him.

Speaker 8 (01:36:03):
Seven twenty seven to play here in the third quarter
again quarterback keeper by Smith. He went right cut it
up and there's a flag as he carries it up
to the thirty six yard line. Six yard pickup as
it stands now, but I hold against jag and that
will back him up ten yards.

Speaker 5 (01:36:24):
The office.

Speaker 8 (01:36:26):
His thoughts played first out, all right, that'll back him
up to the twenty yard line. It'll be first down
in twenty now coming up with the Jaguars with seven
eighteen as a clock has stopped here in the third quarter.
Next week, Opalaka heads on the road. Opulaka will travel
to Smith's Station just the second road game of the
season against the Panthers next Friday night at Panthers Stadium.

(01:36:47):
He had a big crowd to make the trip over.
Smith's Station has picked up one win on the season.
They dropped a game to Central Phoenix City last week
and trailing big to Carver to in Montgomery. Jack going
to take a time out here with seven oh three,
They're gonna think of this first and twenty play over
and want to step aside and take a timeout as well.

(01:37:09):
Your list open like a Bulldog football. Bulldog's leading forty
two to six over jag was seven o three to
play here in the third on the kicker time out
on the field, seven oh three to play here in
the third quarter. Bulldogs leading forty two to six. Let's

(01:37:29):
head down for a four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report.
Mac McCracken has the sidelines looking.

Speaker 14 (01:37:35):
Looking okay after that last scorer rut there though, But
I know, you know, coach Bassi wants to show up
this here defense. I know he really wasn't satisfied a halftime, so, uh,
they're definitely looking.

Speaker 5 (01:37:45):
For a three and out here. Boys.

Speaker 8 (01:37:47):
Ho's coach Burdett working down there on the sideline.

Speaker 14 (01:37:49):
Man, Coach Burdett's doing pretty good and kind of all
of his ball boys ready to go.

Speaker 5 (01:37:53):
Uh, he's doing a heck of a job here. What
do you say?

Speaker 8 (01:37:57):
Yeah, cow's that one for words? A little bashful. Here's
a quarterback he's gonna be brought down in the back
field back in the six yard line, and I sat
there by Antonius Peters as he brings down Kingston a
young and the barer actually Maderien Smith in the backfield
and that's a big loss on the play and it'll
be third down in a mile coming up now for
the Jaguars.

Speaker 13 (01:38:17):
Excellent, excellent play by mister Peters there.

Speaker 8 (01:38:21):
We're gonna say Coach Burnett had something to do with
that one. He was on the line of scrimmage eye
in that one. That was a good job there. It
Actually they'll be second down coming up here, second and
long from their on eight yard line. As the Jaguars
here with six twenty five o'clock running here in the
third quarter, they got that four wide receiver sent this

(01:38:41):
time to the right quarterback drops back and he's gonna
throw it to the far sideline. It is complete turning
up field and getting up across the fifteen to the
sixteen is the wide receiver there from jag Isaiah Gray
makes the stop and getting a little chippy too with
between the players that was saving Gilchrist on the reception

(01:39:06):
there for the Jags gets up to the sixteen yard
line for eight yards and this will be third down
and twenty four coming up for the Jags, and Jags

(01:39:27):
taking their time, trying to get their play and lining
up again with that diamond look, and again it's Smith
throwing far side of the field, trying to tight rope
the sideline was number one Christian Williams. It'll get up
close to the twenty five yard line. Well, market looks
like at the twenty four, so an eight yard pickup,

(01:39:48):
but still well short of the first down to be
third and long still coming up. Darius Coats on the
stop for the Bulldogs, and there's a heat time out
on the field, so we'll step aside for this time out.
Five forty third quarter, fourth and fifteen actually coming up
for the Jaguars. We come back here on the kicker.

(01:40:15):
Welcome back here to the Bulldogs stadium. And here's the
punt out of the time out. It is blocked by
the Bulldogs. That is Xavier Smith again with the block.
He's inside the five, dives a head towards the end
zone and they're gonna say he's down at the one.
But Xavier Thomas had two block field goals last week.
He gets a block pun out of the timeout and
the Bulldogs are set up first in goal at the

(01:40:36):
one boy.

Speaker 5 (01:40:38):
Great play Exavier, great play boy.

Speaker 8 (01:40:41):
What can't Xavier Thomas do?

Speaker 13 (01:40:44):
He'll never forget that in the rest of his life,
I promise. Nothing like blocking a punt, Nothing like it.

Speaker 8 (01:40:51):
Oh, and we'll see the Bulldogs run out at as
with Cooper bringing the offense out.

Speaker 13 (01:40:56):
Look at those big offensive linemen running out there. See
they're punk. Now they got that adrenaline flowing.

Speaker 8 (01:41:02):
We got a cracking score update after this play here
first and goal from the one Bulldogs. They are up
forty two to six with Cooper will get the troops
under center, and the tailback is CJ Pink. Pink gets
the handoff and he's gonna be bottled up right at
the line of scrimmage. So CJ notine much there, A

(01:41:23):
little bit. Body's flying everywhere on that pile. A lot
of new faces in there for the Bulldogs on offense
getting a chance. Coach Dixon in there at full back
for the Bulldogsck, we lost the yard, didn't we? I think?

(01:41:43):
So gonna go I formation. Brogden will be the full
back and CEJ Pink the tailback. It'll be second in
goal from around the three. Now after that play, Cooper
under center. Cooper gets the hand off the pink. Pink's
gotta laying outside there, and he's gonna walk it in
for the Bulldog touchdown for to go.

Speaker 9 (01:42:00):
Third quarter, and the Bulldogs put up forty eight on
the Jags with four forty six to play here in
the third quarter. And we'll see it looks like it'll
be Cloud coming back out for the extra point.

Speaker 8 (01:42:17):
Cloud keo with Cooper to hole four forty six. I'll
have to kick it right in front of a loud
Jag marching vand h Snap got it down though, and
the kick is through the uprights and good so Cloud

(01:42:37):
perfect on his extra points. Three for three tonight, forty
nine to six our score with four forty six to
play here in the third quarter. And Matt got a
score update for you. I know you've been keeping an
eye on this one. Syracuse leading Colgate fifty two to seventeen.
That's in the fourth quarter with eleven oh three to play. Okay,
I got We're gonna we're gonna keep your random score

(01:43:00):
update of the night coming. And uh, we're gonna get
a sponsor for that one before the season's over. Mac okay,
and the Braves lost eleven to three to the Astros too.

Speaker 5 (01:43:10):
You know you in front of me, or uh see
if the Brewers were.

Speaker 8 (01:43:12):
Losing four forty six to play here in the third
quarter and Cloud will come back out. He'll kick it
off now that score and drive power, my friends. It'll
open like a Power Services hometown. People working for you
online at open like apower dot com. Jay Stern got
us cranked up at the lake too, And I know
Jason got us going on the NFHS network tonight and
he's probably scanning some scores too, like that Colgate Syracuse

(01:43:36):
game locked in on that one. Always good to go
into a college football weekend. Coach McCracken with a bulldog
will win. It looks like the dogs are well on
their way here on this Friday night. For the Dog,
a lot of yall clown puts it end over end kick,

(01:43:57):
Gonna be sure it will be returnable here for the Jaguars,
they feel that at the nine yard line cutting two
flags come flying in as the Jaguars carried up to
the twenty four yard line and another flag down. I
think that's going to be a late hit against the Jaguars.
Aiding McCullough on the stop for the Bulldogs, and there's

(01:44:20):
four flags on the field. They came flying in. I
mean like confetti cannons were going off. Officials huddle up
to sort out the damage here.

Speaker 5 (01:44:36):
I don't ever think i'd seen four flags place came
flying in.

Speaker 8 (01:44:39):
I think we got two flags blocking the back end,
a personal foul got a hold, and then after the
playing sportsman like conduct against jag So move it on
back already, Yeah, we'll have to back.

Speaker 13 (01:45:00):
It on up.

Speaker 5 (01:45:01):
We need the.

Speaker 8 (01:45:03):
We need the sound effect for the semi truck backing
up here and after the play so in sportsmanlike conduct
will be the penalty. I think with a hunch portsmanlike conduct,
I said, I'll take both of them. I thing yep,
So you'll get the ten and fifteen, So twenty five
yards and penalties there, Coach McCracken, that's fine, and that
will back things up to the ten yard line. It'll

(01:45:26):
be first and ten for the Jaguars. There. They're gonna
roll with number eight still at quarterback. That's Maderien Smith,
a tailback or the Jaguars remains number one, Christian Williams.

(01:45:46):
Smith gets the snap, it'll be a quarterback keeper all
the way right side. He gets up to the fifteen
yard line and he'll have close to five yards. He's
got some good speed back there. He's I think after
Elijo Oden made that tackle, coach I think right now
Coach Tolliver at JAG is just going, I'm gonna get
my best athlete the football and tell them to tell

(01:46:06):
them to go.

Speaker 10 (01:46:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:46:10):
Four fourteen clock running and Jag in no hurry right now,
trailing forty nine to six. Smith out of the shotgun
gets the snap here on second and five. He runs
right and goes through the line, had a burst up
for five yards, gets a first down up to the
twenty one yard line. Actually we get six yards and

(01:46:32):
that'll move the change for the Jaguars. But Brayden Howard
makes the stop for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 13 (01:46:39):
Where did the where did JAG get the purple jersey?
Purple pants from bandit there? You know they're green and
gold what they've been in the.

Speaker 8 (01:46:50):
Past, Well, this is the color they changed to when
they started the school. Jag. They voted on the colors
and you know they were green and gold for Jeff
Davis and they got when they got the new school
name that the pass is thrown out here near side
and dropped. I think they're gonna say it was a fumble.
I thought it was an incomplete pass when they threw
it out to Gilchris. But they're gonna say it was

(01:47:12):
a fumble. He's gonna lose yards back around the eighteen
yard line. But perst six, Percy, Jillian and Jag both
change colors. Percy Jillian's now orange and blue and Jag
is purple and yellow. Now, oh okay, here's that diamond formation,
four wide receivers to the left side, second and fourteen.
After that loss, it'll be inside the twenty. Now around

(01:47:33):
the eighteen yard line. They'll throw here near side. Gilchris
catches it. There's a flag down for a hold on Jag.
He gets up to the thirty yard line for around
twelve yards down the ople like a sideline, but it'll
be coming back as it is, another hold on Jag.
It looks like they got number fourteen, Jaden Williams as
he shakes his head in disbelief. They have been flagged

(01:47:57):
I don't know how many times for holding tonight one
yards in the first half. All right, So that's a
hole it'll back them up ten yards and that's what
twenty five yards and penalties just on this drive inside
the ten down at the nine yard line, the line
of scrimmage for the Jaguars. We just got two fifty

(01:48:20):
six to play here in the third quarter. Forty nine
six O Pelaika with the lead and again a four
wide receiver dive in formation to the left for the Jags.
One receiver to the right. Smith now brings a man
in motion. He'll give it to the motion man on
the speed. Sweet nice play in the backfield there by
the Bulldogs. And that was a really good tackle by

(01:48:40):
number twenty eight. And that was Jordan North on the
stop there for the Bulldogs. And that was a good
job going low on him too. By North. There's a
sophomore defensive back five seven, one hundred and forty one pounder.
Third down and long coming up for the Jags from
they're on ten yard line. This will be a third
and twenty two just to pick up of one on

(01:49:01):
that speed sweep. Jaguars with four wide receivers again stacked
with a diamond set to the left side, single receiver
to the right, shot guns snaps, Smith drops back steps
up in the pocket, takes off, it's tipped in the
air and it is incomplete. Good job by the Bulldogs

(01:49:22):
tipping that one up in the air and it falls incomplete.
He'll be fourth down in twenty two. Getting a hand
on that one was Isaiah Howell for the Bulldogs tipping
that one up. It'll be fourth down in twenty two.
Jag will have to punt it away for their own
ten yard line here with just one fifty six left
in the third quarter, andre Vann with a chance on

(01:49:45):
a return here. He'll stand it around his thirty the
Jaguar thirty five yard line to await this and the
Jags will have to punt this one away a few
steps back in there on end zone here and quarterback
Madarien Smith will be the man that will punt it away.
Always be eerie of a fake, you wouldn't think in
this area, but who knows hi punt? And then we'll

(01:50:09):
get out of the way and let this one take
a Jag roll close to midfield. It'll land right inside
the l of Opelaika near midfield. It likes to be
the jag forty nine yard line. That's where Opelaika will
start first and ten looks like Fuller Young will be
the quarterback. It looks like at the moment that'll be
coming out and leading this drive here for the Bulldogs.

(01:50:30):
Just one forty seven remaining. It will be Fuller Young
coming in the game forty nine six. Our score Opelaika
with the lead Bulldogs at the forty nine A jag
all new offensive line here too for the Bulldogs. Here

(01:50:51):
on this first down play, here's Nelson getting the hand
off right side, and good hard run there by Jalen Nelson.
He's down to the forty seven yard line, just two
yards on the play. Under one thirty to go. Officials
blow the play, Dell, we got another offensive lineman.

Speaker 5 (01:51:11):
The goodness that.

Speaker 8 (01:51:15):
I'm not sure who the injured player is. We've got
some trainers coming in from the jag side. First Courtney
comes out now to check on him. We'll see who exactly.
We've had a tough night with the big guys getting
banged up.

Speaker 13 (01:51:35):
But Trammel Sparks is out there. But it's not him.
He's a tenth grader, number two guy. I can't I
can't see the number from you here.

Speaker 8 (01:51:45):
We'll get some clarification. We come back time out on
the field forty nine six o plaika with the lead
one twenty eight to go here in the third and
we're back after this on the kicker injured Bulldog was
Teddy Houston and comes off on his own power and
hobbows off to the sidelines. Hopefully he's gonna be okay.

(01:52:06):
It'll be a second down and eight play fuller young
hands of all lost. CJ hit running near side, good
block CJ. Pink inside the forty down around the thirty
eight yard line. That good block must have been a hole.
The flag comes in. I believe this will back the
Bulldogs up ten yards and the gate. That pretty good
run there by c J. Pink. There's gonna be a

(01:52:27):
run of around nine yards, but looks like it will
be coming back. White hat will.

Speaker 15 (01:52:35):
Personal foul block plug the waist on the defense penalty
from the end of the run.

Speaker 8 (01:52:41):
Results of the first out, Well you heard that. That
was a big penalty against the Bulldogs. That was a
cut play by the Jag A personal foul hit below
the waist on them. I don't see that very loll
that's a personal foul.

Speaker 5 (01:52:54):
How do you do that if you're going to tackle somebody?

Speaker 8 (01:52:57):
I don't understand that, well, I think they just went
down and cut a black locker down, cut his legs
out from under them. So that's the penalty. So down
to the twenty two yard line, first and ten play
and that one to wrap up in the backfield there
on the carry was number forty two and that was
Jaden Lyles on the carry for the Bulldogs. A loss

(01:53:24):
on the play back to the twenty eight yard line.
Jalen Nelson back in the ball game before the Bulldogs.
Second and sixteen Dogs with thirty three seconds left here
the third quarter, moving left to right, Fuller Young, the
quarterback for the Bulldogs. Young gets the hand off, gives

(01:53:48):
a no. It's a play action pass and it is
called inside the twenty down to the nineteen yard line.
Good reception there by the Bulldogs. And coming up with
that snag was.

Speaker 5 (01:54:02):
Do you know that what before you?

Speaker 8 (01:54:08):
My pass was complete to number fifteen Matthew Pritchett wide receiver.
So good snag there to do. Third down and eight.
When we come back to start the fourth quarter here
a Bulldog stadium forty nine to six. It's opal like
a leading jag. Fourth and final quarter coming up next.
You listen to Bulldog football here on the kicker swag

(01:54:35):
surfing heading into the fourth quarter here at Bulldog Stadium
forty nine six. Our score all Opalaika going to you
for the Northpeeda Clinic broadcast booth thes Telabama's go to
center for orthopedic care online at the Ortho Clinic dot com.
And it will be a third and eight for the
Bulldogs with Cooper comes in the ballgame now at quarterback

(01:54:56):
here on this fourth down play a wide receiver either
side for the bulldog Dogs. Tail back will be C. J. Pink.
Now they'll empty the backfield and there'll be a quarterback
drawplay with Cooper runs straight ahead up the middle, stays
up high and keeps those legs moving down inside the
twenty down around the eighteen yard line, and opala are
now going to try to put a field goal up.

(01:55:18):
They're gonna give Old Cloud a shot of the field
goal here at the eighteen yard line. You're out a
thirty five yard field goal here from just inside the
left hash for Cloud Cloud keyo see if he can

(01:55:38):
put this baby through with Cooper to hold good snowlow
snap got down a fight down and the kick was good.
But they're gonna blow it dead. Something was off there
made them movement. Way do you let Cloud kick another

(01:55:58):
one and you get a five yard pillot. I'm mighty
close to a first down here. I think Coach Moore
is gonna let him kick it again.

Speaker 10 (01:56:05):
Here.

Speaker 8 (01:56:06):
It'll be just a fourth and one, now fourth and two. Actually,
how they jump again, you'll get a first down?

Speaker 5 (01:56:16):
What day? He's got a good leg man.

Speaker 8 (01:56:18):
That last one, that was a good looking field goal
just inside the left hash now line of scrimmage is
the twelve, and that one is up and it is good.
Cloud Ko puts it up in good twenty nine yard
field goal up in good by Cloud and the Bulldogs

(01:56:40):
extending there lead fifty two to six of the jag
Jaguars and eleven oh five to play here in the ballgame.
And that's score and drive power by Opal like a
power services hometown people working for you online at opallikapower
dot com. Back after this time out here on the kicker,

(01:57:02):
eleven oh five to play here in the ball game,
Cloud k O putting up a twenty nine yard field goal,
extended the Bulldogs fifty two to six lead, and Cloud
going to stay in the ball game and kick it away,
good kick end over end sales inside the ten field
and at the eleven yard line here by the Jaguars,
and at the twenty yard line, or turnman is gonna
be hemmed up around the eighteen yard line. And coach,

(01:57:25):
we just discovered you left your readers in the car
going to callaway. You've been looking for them and I
got them on my desk at work.

Speaker 13 (01:57:31):
So bring them, bring them to me whenever we at
the luncheon neck this week.

Speaker 8 (01:57:35):
All right, the luncheon. Hey, by the way, Bulldog fans,
don't forget the luncheons every Thursday, First Baptist Church opal
like a great way for you to hear insight into
the team and what's happening. Ten dollars will get you
on lunch. They asked that you let them know you're
coming ahead of time. If you forget, no worries come
on anyway. But I look for that link on social
media this week there and follow up like a bulldog

(01:57:56):
football on Facebook. From the twenty yard line, Jag comes out.
They are trailing right now big here in this one
in the fourth quarter, fifty two to six. Quarterback keeper
again scrambling at the twenty five thirty. Good seam across
the forty. This guy can scoot Madarien Smith. There is
a flag down again, he's inside the thirty twenty five.
Finally brought down from behind at the twenty yard line.

(01:58:20):
Good stop there by, Michel Jackson's another one of our neighbors,
and play there by mckel. I think it's gonna come back.
There's a holding flag around the forty nine yard line.
Boy Dell Tolliver, the coach from jag is going to
be I rate about the score, but also about these penalties.
He's had a number of holding flags and that when

(01:58:46):
they gate. A good play by the quarterback Madarian Smith
from this Jaguar offense going against a lot of threes
and fours here, and you know what we have not
done tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:58:58):
You want to guess one major phase of the game
we have not done.

Speaker 8 (01:59:05):
Punted.

Speaker 5 (01:59:05):
We have not punted. That's exactly right.

Speaker 8 (01:59:08):
It's just about you had me for a minute.

Speaker 5 (01:59:10):
Yep, no punts. That's good.

Speaker 8 (01:59:13):
That was coach McCracken's athletic trivia question. No punts all right.
After the penalty, it'll be a the thirty eight yard
line and this will be La King Anderson getting a snap,
he'll take it on the quarterback keeper. Trying to run
far side of the field, he finds the sidelines and
he's up around the forty eight yard line. Good run

(01:59:34):
there by Anderson, as he's got close to ten yards
in a first down. It looks like Jordan Williams on
the stop there for Opalaka Jason Lee doing a good
job spotting for us tonight. A lot of new dogs
in the ball game getting their first chance at some
playing time this season. JV and Holloway and several other

(02:00:09):
Bulldogs here on the defensing line.

Speaker 5 (02:00:15):
My leak I Grant malakai ya malakai Yeah.

Speaker 8 (02:00:22):
Ta Kwan Robertson also at the ball game, Jack him
take a time out. While we got a time out,
we're gonna head down for a four seasons Federal Credit
Union sideline report. Mac McCracken, once you got on the sidelines, Mac, A.

Speaker 14 (02:00:34):
Bunch of dogs having a good time, man. So I
know a lot of them are getting in right now.
A lot of coaches are still coaching them all but
a lot of smiles and hat I know you'll talk
about this. Old Cloud's got some swag. Fellas he's been
joking around like a bb and a wash dog, just
as happy as could be. I mean, he's done great
on his kicks, and when he knocked that field gold in,

(02:00:57):
he just glide across the field.

Speaker 5 (02:00:58):
So he's down here on a sideline having a good time.

Speaker 14 (02:01:01):
It's just gonna see these dogs smiling, and like you said,
all the rest of them are getting to play.

Speaker 5 (02:01:06):
So hopefully we can get another score here.

Speaker 8 (02:01:09):
Guys, Mack, we got to see him height. Hey, Ron's
gonna get in the game.

Speaker 14 (02:01:12):
Yeah, hey maybe, Hey, what's my so what's my latest
score update.

Speaker 8 (02:01:17):
I'll check back with you here in a moment. Okay,
all right, we'll keep you updated. Ten eighteen to go
in the game, fifty two to six Bulldogs with the
Lee Jags. After that nice scramble a first down and
ten for they're on forty eight. Low snap and a
throw here near side. Smith gets it to the wide
receiver for a first down catch. It's Marlow Harris and
he gets it to the forty one of Opelaika and

(02:01:39):
that's gonna be good for eleven yards. Lambert Trent, I
should say a Jag first down. Jalen Jackson on the stop.
There is sophomore defensive player for the Bulldogs, getting a
stop ten o three to play here in the ball
game fifty two six, so Polaika with the league clock
running here in the fourth quarter, nine fifty seven to play,

(02:02:04):
Jaguars trying to march their way down the field line
up again with four wide receivers stacked to the right side.
Quarterback Smith drops back, looks left two flags down. It
was almost intercepted by Xavier Thomas prior to the south
ard on the offense by back. Score update for you

(02:02:32):
in the Indiana Indiana State Big rivalry game seventy three
and nothing Mac Indiana all over them. Okay the Sycamores, Yeah, yeah,
you know that. You know who went to the Who
was Indiana State grad Andy Bircham, voice of the Auburn Tigers.
He will not be happy with that score as his
Sycamores are getting to put on them Indiana States. That's it.

(02:02:55):
First down play tempt incomplete. It was tried to hook
up here nearside with saying Gilchrist and they'll stop the
clock from nine twenty to go, second down and fifteen
coming up for the Jaguars.

Speaker 5 (02:03:08):
Did ay know, Larry Bird, I don't know. Wait minute,
you know I have Vienna State. Yeah, they have Mack.
You knew that, didn't you. Absoluela.

Speaker 8 (02:03:17):
Yeah, man, there's a player for the Jags. He is
really having a rough time out there. Looks like he
may be injured. That's Christian Jackson on the wide receivers.
But he'll tough through it. Line up here to the
right with that four wide look stack formation of the
quarterback faked right. He'll run left side and he is
scooting close to a first down inside the thirty five.

(02:03:38):
They'll mark him down at the thirty three yard line.
They'll play good for close to around nine nine yards.
Can trail Odin on the stop for the Bulldogs. Third
and two coming up for the Jags down at the

(02:03:58):
thirty two yard line at the thirty three. Actually it'll
be third and two certainly four down territory, and the
Bulldogs look like they jumped on a hard count. No
gonna be the Jags. Well, I don't know. The penalty

(02:04:21):
discrepancy said this one will, Coach McCracken. The Jaguars tonight
have been flag ridden all night long.

Speaker 5 (02:04:28):
They've got to have let's see, they had sixty five.
They're right at one point fifty at penalties.

Speaker 8 (02:04:37):
Third down and seven. After that penalty, mind a scrimmage
the Bulldog thirty seven yard line, Jags moving from left
to right, shotgun stamp quarterback keeper again as Smith running
near side, got a couple of good blocks ahead of them.
They'll scoot inside the thirty and another flag and they're
gonna get another hold against the Jags. Trail over Ben

(02:05:02):
treill Odin on the stope again for the Bulldogs and
get the official call from the white hat. Here boy,
another flag against the Jags.

Speaker 3 (02:05:15):
On the office from the front of the south.

Speaker 5 (02:05:20):
My goodness, that coach is not happy.

Speaker 8 (02:05:22):
He's got to be beside himself. Referees giving him no
mercy to night coach is for sure any positive play
it has been a flag. I'm sure they're there. Third
down and at nine at the forty yard line. Now
of v Opal like at that penalty height on want
to play here in the ball game? Fifty two to

(02:05:43):
six Opeleaiko with the lead here at Bulldog Stadium, two
white outs right, single receiver to the left side. Smith
quarterback keeper again left side, trying to get outside, and
he made a nice move cutting back in and he
gets across the thirty five down the thirty four yard line, Jackson, Canada.

(02:06:03):
On the stop. You can hear that family down below.
Fourth down and three decision time for the Jags. I
think they're gonna go for it here, but they are
going to burn a time out. I think to think
about it here inside the thirty five of the thirty
four of Opalaika. So time out on the field, seven

(02:06:26):
sixteen to play. We're back after this time out. You
listen to Bulldog football here on the kicker, I'm g
seven sixteen to play in the ball game, Opeka leading
fifty two to six in our fourth quarter. Coming to
you from the Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth, East Alabama's go

(02:06:48):
to center for orthopedic care. Two great locations eighteen hundred
Lakeside Circle in Auburn, eighteen Medical Arts Center, one twenty
one North twentieth Street in Opelaka's where that's located, and
they're also low online in the Orthoclinic dot com is
where you can find everything you need to know, and
they certainly take care of all the great athletes all
around the area. The or what the pede Clinic does

(02:07:11):
seventy to sixteen at least got over Beulah. Boy, they
only had twenty one points at halftime. They really had
a big second half up the road in Beulah. Fourth
down and three here for the Jags. It'll be the
quarterback keeper boy. He made a nice move inside. He'll
get the first down inside the thirty and he's out
of bounds at around the twenty nine yard line. Great
run mir Darrien Smith and defender diviit he's supposed to

(02:07:33):
made him go inside, but he made a great athletic
move for that first down. Keep the chains going as
he's down inside the thirty at the twenty nine of
Opelaika with seven o nine to play like, starts back
running after that first down, chain set four wide receiver.
Look again, it's that diamond formation to the right here
for the Jags. Smith throws near side. It is complete

(02:07:57):
to Williams. He cuts it at the twenty, stays on
his feet in the fifteen, cut at the ten inside
the five, and it was a touchdown saving stop by
the Bulldogs. That was number twenty two with that touchdown
saving stop. Rico Kendrew, Yeah, Haiden mccullaugh rather on that.

Speaker 5 (02:08:21):
Turnning back.

Speaker 8 (02:08:22):
Aiden McCullough gets the stop there. Good job, he saved
the touchdown and it will be first in goal. Now,
get to be a tough spot for this young defense
for the Bulldogs to keep the Jaguars out of the
end zone. Here was six twenty six to play first
in goal from the three quarterback keeper right side. He
walks it in the end zone for the Jaguar touchdown,
and the Jags, for the second time tonight, they find

(02:08:43):
the end zone. The quarterback says, you know what I'm
getting beat fifty two to six. I'm gonna spend the
football and celebrate a little. But he's gonna get a
fifteen yard penalty for it. But they've had a lot
to celebrate tonight. Uh, he's gonna get his money's worth.

(02:09:04):
White Hat will come over and ask coach more how
he wants to handle the penalty situation here. I think
you'll take it on the kickoff. Well, we'll get the
White Hats a touch up after the play was over.

Speaker 9 (02:09:17):
Unforse on the offense, not fifteen yard penalty will be.

Speaker 8 (02:09:21):
Assessed on the tryndack, Oh, they're gonna make it on
the on the point after attempt here, Well, here we go, Coach,
it'll be a long two point conversion here for the Jaguars.
This will be from the right at the eighteen yard line.
Fifty two twelve. Jaguars will go for the two point

(02:09:44):
try and eighteen yards out to get it here. Got
a feeling it'll be a quarterback run. What do you think, coach?

Speaker 5 (02:09:49):
Oh, no, he's gonna throw.

Speaker 8 (02:09:50):
I think he's gonna too big.

Speaker 5 (02:09:52):
See big fourteen over here. He's gonna look how big
that boy is?

Speaker 8 (02:09:56):
Big fella all right, trips to the right, he looked left.
Throws towards the end zone and two of the players
for Jack collided at the five. They had to get
in the end zone and they had no chance. They
didn't make the reception. That was number four coming up
with it Kingston Young. But it won't matter as the
two point conversion fails and it's fifty two to twelve,

(02:10:18):
six point twenty to go in the game. Bulldogs looking
to get the football back. When we come back, you
listen to Bulldog football here on the kicker. Welcome back
here to Bulldogs Stadium. A happy student section being shown
up on the jumbo tron as the Dogs lead at
fifty two to twelve. It is homecoming so always special

(02:10:40):
when you could win at homecoming and Mac lots of
scores from around the area tonight, I know UCLA, New
Mexico was on your mind. They're scoreless right now, so
I just still can't get used to Friday night college football.

Speaker 5 (02:10:55):
Mac.

Speaker 14 (02:10:56):
I can't either. It's made for high school. Friday night
is always hi hi school football. Yeah, but you know
they gotta chase that money.

Speaker 8 (02:11:03):
Yeah, six twenty left here in the ballgame, Opelaika getting
ready to receive the kick for the Jaguars. Fifty six
twenty eight Central knocks off Dothan. That score has gone final.
Auburn also knocks off Enterprise tonight. Twenty three to seven
was the final score there and it was Carver leading

(02:11:26):
Big over Smith's station. So next week, Opelaiko ahead to
face Smith's Station, and I believe jag they will be
heading to Auburn next week. Pike Road to see them
in a few weeks. They are leading Wood Tunka twenty
nine to six. Here's a short kick left side. It's

(02:11:51):
gonna bounce with the twenty two yard line. Bold I's
got a fall on it, picked up by the dogs.
Nice move of the thirty yard line and tight roping
the sidelines across the forty five.

Speaker 13 (02:12:00):
He may have a.

Speaker 9 (02:12:01):
Return inside the thirty inside the ten five touchdown Bulldogs.
What a great return there by Rico Kindred for the Bulldogs.
He scooped it up and made some nice moves and
takes it down the bar side where a Bulldog.

Speaker 8 (02:12:16):
Touchdown out of boor Rico Rico kindred with rate run.
Nice return number twenty two for the Bulldogs down the
far side. And the Bulldogs have put up fifty eight
points on the Jaguars and six oh three still to play.
Here are they calling down?

Speaker 12 (02:12:43):
No?

Speaker 8 (02:12:43):
Okay, they're lining up to the extra point. I thought
I thought it like it was coming out of an
offensive set. Here, Fuller Young is ain't gonna actually hold here?
Who's this kicker here? Van seventy one? So I got
a new kicker here. I don't have a seventy one
on the roster. He made it, but the extra point
is up and it is good. We'll hopefully find out

(02:13:04):
Matt McCracken can find out for us who seventy one is.
He is a vacant on our roster, or we'll get
that for you. Fifty nine twelve Opalaika with the lead
six zh three to play here in the fourth quarter.
We're back after this time out. You listen to Bulldog football.
I'm the kicker back here, Opelaca leading the jag Jaguars

(02:13:30):
fifty nine to twelve. The happy home coming at Bulldog
Stadium and Carver Montgomery all over Smith's station tonight and
the big win for them and Central and Auburn picking
up wins tonight. Bulldog's well on their way here. Cloud
Ko will kick things off here and ball is teed

(02:13:55):
up and an end over end kick and it will
sail down and be returnable at the ten, ropped by
the Jags. They'll pick it up inside the five. They
were turned. Man's in some trouble and he's brought down
and around the fourteen yard line by mickil Jackson. A
job there by, Michel Matt Did you find out who
number seventy one was?

Speaker 5 (02:14:12):
For us? Still trying to track it down.

Speaker 8 (02:14:14):
I'm back in a minute.

Speaker 5 (02:14:15):
I'm tracking it.

Speaker 8 (02:14:16):
Down, all right. You've got a mission here and you
got five minutes and fifty five seconds, so good luck.
Coach Moore will tell us I'm sure here in just
a moment. See lots of substitutions coming in for the
Bulldogs on defense or Jags will have it from their
own fourteen yard line. First down and ten shotgun stamp

(02:14:49):
and a chunk played down field, and that's going to
be a pass interference called on the Bulldogs. They tried
to get into Marlowe Harris and defensive back for the
Bulldogs not to down on the route, and that'll be
a pass interference.

Speaker 5 (02:15:12):
All right, Mac, what you got Ashton Harris with the point.

Speaker 8 (02:15:15):
After all right? Well, good job Ashton Harris, number seventy one.
We will pencil him in at number seventy one there,
so Ashton Harris, good job for him on that extra
point four wideouts to the left side, low snap picked
up there by the Jags and he overshot his intended
wide receiver, Christian Weed, will be incomplete. Second down and

(02:15:39):
at ten coming up with the Jags again from their
own twenty nine yard line. All right, back down to
the field for mac.

Speaker 14 (02:15:45):
Correction Ashton Smith from coach Ferguson Smith, Smith Harris, Okay,
hey is I hey?

Speaker 12 (02:15:53):
Is?

Speaker 13 (02:15:53):
His number is seventy nine? All right, seventy nine?

Speaker 8 (02:15:59):
All right, Well there you go, seventy seventy nine seventy one.

Speaker 5 (02:16:03):
Now, I don't know where seventy one came from.

Speaker 7 (02:16:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (02:16:06):
That's an incomplete that maybe backwards past the Jags. It
is a live ball and he's gonna lose yards back
inside the twenty around the eighteen yard line. And that
was a big time loss on the play. That was
a loss of close to eleven yards.

Speaker 5 (02:16:21):
Oh, they called this one on the Dogs. I believe.

Speaker 8 (02:16:27):
We got a penalty flying down could Yeah, they.

Speaker 5 (02:16:30):
Were shoving and pushing each other. I don't know who
they called it on that. I don't know.

Speaker 8 (02:16:37):
We'll wait and see white Hat has yet to It's
like the Jags are moving backs.

Speaker 5 (02:16:47):
Work on the offense.

Speaker 8 (02:16:53):
Man, they're gonna get the Jags fifteen yards and then
we'll back it inside the ten down to the nine
yard line. So other big penalty against the Jaguars. Third
down and thirty two coming up here for the Jaguars
back inside, they're on ten yard line now, low snap
quarterback keeper left side and broke through there across the

(02:17:14):
twenty twenty five down, tight roping the sidelines and nearly
broke it for a big game was Madarien Smith. He
by far as their best playmaker, and they have decided
when they put him at quarterback, sit back and let
him cook five minutes to play here in the ball
game fifty nine and twelve, All o palaika here at

(02:17:35):
Bulldog Stadium, like I believe, it's gonna keep rolling here,
Jaguar marching band making their way down. They're gonna actually
perform at the end of the game tonight. They were
unable to due to the homecoming festivities at the half
to be a fourth down actually in seven coming up
here for the Jaguars. They're gonna go for it. They'll

(02:17:56):
get the first down up to the forty two yard
line and that will move the chains.

Speaker 3 (02:18:04):
Number twenty seven, Pimoni.

Speaker 8 (02:18:09):
Number twenty seven, Kimoni Stinson on the stop for the Bulldogs.
First and ten up to the forty three yard line
for the Bulldogs four or nineteen. The clock continues to
run here in this fourth and final quarter at Bulldogs Stadium,
mnor next week on the road against the Smith's Station

(02:18:31):
Panthers and coach McCracken. Isn't that hard to believe? It'll
be game number five. We'll be at the halfway point
of the season. Ye and off to the Panthers up
the middle, a good run first down, broke another tackle,
he stays on his feet and he's gonna head to
the house.

Speaker 3 (02:18:46):
And the Jags.

Speaker 8 (02:18:47):
Christian Williams finds the end zone for a late score
for the Jaguars, and they've continued to fight a bunch
of in the end zone again for another score here
late in this ball game, had an injured player on
the field for the Bulldogs. Trying to find out who

(02:19:13):
exactly that is down on the field. Micah Cannon forty
seven or Camon is the injured player and he's coming

(02:19:34):
off a little bit of weight on that left left leg.
Not much so, certainly hate to see any players yet heard,
but certainly in again the well out of leaks like
this one is here in the fourth quarter, three fifty
three left. The Dog's still up by forty one points,

(02:20:00):
though Jaguar is going to go for the two point conversion.
Jaguars trying to get everybody situated and let them go
for two. Here with three fifty three to play in
the ballgame, fifty nine to eighteen is our score. Two

(02:20:22):
white outs to the left side, single receiver to the
right side. Quarterback again Madarien Smith in the backfield along
with Christian Williams who just broke that touchdown run to
his right. Smith gets it, ran right, cuts it back
inside and he is in the end zone for the
two point conversion, and the Jags make it a fifty

(02:20:42):
nine to twenty ball game here with three point fifty
three to play. We'll be back at this time out
you're listening to Bulldog football on the kicker, and we're
back after this word from the orthopedic clinic. A couple
of scores here in the ball game against the second

(02:21:04):
group for the Bulldogs, fifty nine to twenty. Our score
right now, three point fifty three to play here in
the ballgame, and here is a short squib kick and
the Bulldogs scoop it up and see if the Dogs
can return another one here as Rico kindred on the return,
he just ran one back for a touchdown. He get
up to the thirty yard line before he stood up

(02:21:26):
by the Jaguar defense and the clock continues. Well, it'll
start with three thirty nine remaining here in the ballgame.
Thirty nine point lead now for the Bulldogs after a
couple of late touchdowns here by the Jaguars. Fifty nine
to twenty our score, and we'll see who comes out

(02:21:47):
here for the Bulldogs. A quarterback. Looks like it'll be
Fuller Young trying back out. Lots of new faces in
there on the offensive line for the Bulldogs. Snam runs.

Speaker 11 (02:22:07):
That.

Speaker 8 (02:22:07):
It's a quarterback keeper Fuller Young. He's blown up in
the backfield and takes a shot hit back down around
the twenty though martin Ford progress at the fifteen yard line,
twenty five yard line rather so it'll be a loss
of six nowhere. Reese running back in there for the

(02:22:29):
Bulldogs three thirteen to play Young out of the shotgun.
Here's second and sixteen after that loss on the play miscommunication,
Fuller went to hand it off left side and the

(02:22:50):
running back was on the right. And it'll be third
down and we'll see Young come out after taking a
couple of hard hits. And when Cooper comes in the
ballgame here on this third and twenty six, two thirty one,

(02:23:14):
it'll be third and long coming up here for the
Bulldogs to Kwan Robson running back for the Bulldogs. Cooper
the quarterback here on third and twenty one. Roverson will
get the hand off and he is hit and he

(02:23:35):
slung back down around the line of scrimmage. Jack still
playing with everybody there on that number one defense, A
lot of third and fourth teamers in for the Bulldogs,
and hope Alkah will send down the punting team for
the first time tonight. That's right man here with one

(02:23:58):
of forty six remaining, Well, they're gonna keep confidence in here.
On fourth and twenty two, Coach Moore may call a
time out here, hard count, I think with Cooper's gonna
punt it away. Cooper steps back. Well, no time out

(02:24:22):
called here by coach Moore with one twenty three, but
look Fuller was gonna come back there and maybe just
poops kick it. They'll call a time out here with
one twenty three to go. Fifty nine twenty Opelika with
a lead of fourth and long for the Dogs. We'll
see if the punting team comes out and we come
back here on the kicker bull Dogs out of the

(02:24:42):
time out, punt it away. It'll hit around the forty
six yard line and me down am Raley falls on
it at the forty one yard line. That will be
where Jag we'll take over here with one twelve to
go in the ball game and We'll see if Opelaika
keep the Jaguars out of the end zone. They've been

(02:25:03):
red hot of lake here in one put, it gets
most of these twos and threes for Opelaiko. And I
know the message I'm sure down on the field Mat
McCracken from this defensive grip was keep these guys out
of the end zone.

Speaker 14 (02:25:14):
Right, Yeah, yep, Let's just get a final stop here
and down on them score. Hey, this might be the
first post game show with Brian Moore during a live
band performance.

Speaker 8 (02:25:24):
Maybe le King Anderson is in a quarterback play action.
He'll throw far side of the field. It is complete
to gay and he gets down close to the first
down marker. He gets down to the thirty two yard line.
That will be enough for a first down. Camory stints
it on the stop for the Bulldogs. I mean we'll
be a first down. Oh. Hoover has lost back to

(02:25:47):
back home games for the first time in a while.
They fall to Hewitt Trustful seventeen to fourteen. Hewett is
in the game control of that region there up in
the Birmingham area right now with two big wins. They
dropped back. Think a shot to the end zone and
it is fought four and incomplete. Good defensive play there

(02:26:09):
on the backside. Well, he was saying, I thought they.

Speaker 10 (02:26:15):
Third down.

Speaker 8 (02:26:16):
What the player there for Jag was saying he had it,
But that was a good defensive play for the Bulldogs.
That was Jalen Jackson defensive back making a nice play
for the Bulldogs on the back end of that one.
And I think the receiver for Jag just fell down
had a cramp when he went up for that one
twenty nine seconds left to be a third and one.

(02:26:38):
Jack still taking some shots towards the end zone, trying
to get some positive things as they gonna head to
Auburn next week to take on the Tigers at Duck
Sanford Stadium. Tough couple of games in the row for
the Jaguars, but he trust will winning seventeen fourteen tonight
at Hoover and coach, We're gonna keep an eye on
that region a lot this year because that is where
our region is paired up and mentioned Earts earlier in

(02:26:59):
the play. You know our one through four seeds will
take on their one through four seeds in the round one.
So can you imagine that, I mean you're the three
or four seed and you got to head up to
face probably either Thompson or you at Trustful. Whoever wins
that game, probably be one and two in that region,
at least the way it is looking right now in
the early going. But that's a big road win for
you at Trustful. Hillcrest knocked off Hoover last week, and

(02:27:23):
you at Trustful knocks them off tonight. Because Hoover falls
back to back, third down and one with twenty nine
seconds left here in the ballgame, will like a leading
fifty nine to twenty over Jag And here's a quarterback
keeper by La King Anderson flagged down. It'll be a
hold and he's pulled down from behind and a good

(02:27:46):
looking stop by number ninety seven Malachai Grant, and that'll
be a hold on the offense. Bulldogs will back him up.
Just eighteen seconds left in this one. May you have
to start the clock back up, but eighteen seconds left

(02:28:06):
in the ballgame. Oblaga heads the Smith's Station next week
before they get a breaking region play to take on
Pike Road back here at Bulldog Stadium on the twenty sixth,
But the next week on the road at Smith's Station.
Need a big crowd of Panthers Stadium. That maybe the
last play Jag is lined up. I think they're ready
to come across the field and shake hands. They may
run one more here you line up with six, down

(02:28:30):
to five, down to four, two, they just get it
off quarterback keeper right side and the Bulldogs tackle him
down at the thirty five yard line. Stop made by
the Bulldogs Ladarien Oliver the defensive lineman on the stop,
and that'll be the final play of the night here
at Bulldogs Stadium. Fifty nine to twenty Dogs on Winter

(02:28:54):
tonight over the jag Jaguars. Bulldogs improved to three and
one on the season. Bulldogs also go to one and
one in region play. Jaguars tonight fall to and two
and and two in region play. They'll head to Oliver
next week. The Bulldogs will head to Smith's Station. Both

(02:29:14):
teams on the road next week, fifty nine to twenty.
Again our final our postgame show coming up on the
way next and stay tuned. Coach Brian Moore will join
us up here in the booth and we'll break down
this game and preview next week's game on the road
against the Smith's Station Panthers. As we continue with our
postgame show on the way next here on the Kicker,

(02:29:40):
Welcome back to our postgame show, presented to you by
Jeff Coach Trent Funeral Home in the Opalaika. Bulldogs a
winner tonight over the jag Jaguars fifty nine to twenty
our final score. Now the jag Jaguar marching band about
to perform here after our game tonight. They are unable
to perform at halftime of this game, but they won

(02:30:03):
it big tonight. Did you have the final stats or
did you did you have anything? Okay, but I do
know certainly some of the big things at halftime went
Cooper eight for nine. He had one hundred and thirty
yards tended to finish the game with three touchdowns. Certainly
a good good day for him. We'll have Coach Board
joining up with us here in just a few moments

(02:30:24):
here and as we will talk this game and highlights
from this game, which certainly was a big one. I
certainly hate to see one of the Bulldogs getting carted
off here and getting medical attention. Looks like okay, but
some sort of a lower body injury. And it was
a physical one down the straps too. But fifty nine

(02:30:47):
to twenty was our final score here as the Bulldogs
winning over the jag Jaguars, and our postgame show will
continue with a visit with head and coach Brian Moore.
That's coming up all the way next, we'll take another
break and we'll come back with Coach More after this.
You're listen to Bulldog football on the Kicker. Bulldog fans

(02:31:10):
getting entertained by the Jag Jaguar Marching van here as
we await coach Brian Moore coming up here to the
booth wile our post game show continuing here, brought to
you by Jeff Coach Trent Funeral Home. Fifty nine twenty.
The Bulldogs a winner tonight because of the first region
win of the season. Dogs one and one in region
play now three and one overall in the season with
a win over Benjamin Russell Callaway heartbreaking loss last week

(02:31:30):
to all of them, are following it up with a
win over tonight over the Jag Jaguars fifty nine to twenty.
And hey, we're being entertained by the Jag Jaguar Marching Van.
We'll listen in here and listen to some of the
Jag Jaguar Marching band.

Speaker 7 (02:32:06):
Y'all say along with us.

Speaker 8 (02:32:10):
I will tell you this, there's not many of the
Hope Alika fans have left. They're staying plea to watch
this uh marching band perform here at halftime Jag Jaguar
Marching Band.

Speaker 10 (02:32:42):
And now, ladies and gentlemen, brace yourself for the systems,
the fire, the fish.

Speaker 5 (02:32:47):
Getagy of the Dynamic Devas dance team.

Speaker 15 (02:32:49):
They're about to turn them to La La La by
Notty Bar featuring Sam Smith.

Speaker 8 (02:33:14):
Hold I tell you Joe continues on fifty nine twenty
Dogs a Winter Tonight over the Jag Jaguars listed Now
to the Jaguar Marching Band performing here Jag Jaguar Marching

(02:34:11):
Band performing here at Bulldog Stadium. And uh we got coach,
We got Coach Brian Moore now with us in the
booth as we continue with our post game show. Close
up of the windows down so we can hear what
a great great halftime show right there, Coach Moore at

(02:34:32):
a postgame show. I guess you could say that's ah.

Speaker 5 (02:34:36):
They do a good job over there.

Speaker 11 (02:34:37):
I'm glad they got to play with with it being
our homecoming, so I'm glad they got to do it.

Speaker 10 (02:34:41):
Postgame.

Speaker 8 (02:34:42):
All right, coach, I know you wanted to see a
fast start. I think you scored on you what your
first four or five possessions of the game. And talk
a little bit about Wit Cooper coming in. What a
spark he gave your offense today?

Speaker 5 (02:34:53):
Did I mean he played well?

Speaker 11 (02:34:54):
You know, he threw some things, he took some choice
balls and you know, did a good job. And so
good to see what get his first real varsity experience
and think you what through three touchdowns in the first
halse So that was exciting.

Speaker 8 (02:35:05):
And he was eight for nine one hundred and thirty
yards and three touchdowns. Pretty good, good start. And the
best throw was to Ja wash the one of the field.
That was this big boy throw right there. I had
a Cam Raley catch that one.

Speaker 5 (02:35:16):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 11 (02:35:16):
I couldn't see him at all. I'm now eager to
watch it on the replay.

Speaker 8 (02:35:20):
But as Cam's first touchdown as a Bulldog and varsity
action too.

Speaker 9 (02:35:23):
Couldn't have him to a better kid? Yes, glad for well,
I know it was good just to have a bounce
back when what was some of your big takeaways.

Speaker 11 (02:35:30):
From Yeah, I'm with you, five for five in the
first half, you know, shut out in the first half. Defensively,
I thought Reese was clean the kicking finally, you know,
the pat stuff.

Speaker 5 (02:35:40):
He wasn't just trying to aim it.

Speaker 11 (02:35:42):
You know, it's kind of like a you know, a
quarterback sometimes and kind of get in his own head
and aim it and just you know, let it loose.

Speaker 5 (02:35:48):
And that's what Reese did tonight.

Speaker 11 (02:35:49):
He bangs some all the way over the ipf over there,
and I thought our operation was really clean.

Speaker 5 (02:35:55):
So that was good to see.

Speaker 11 (02:35:57):
Cut down on penalties, I thought, especially with our older kids.
I just thought the ball didn't hit the ground, and
I just thought we did a good job with.

Speaker 5 (02:36:05):
That kind of thing.

Speaker 11 (02:36:05):
And then of course coming out of halftime, it was
a little bit frustrating to you know, kind of bobble
the kickoff. We've got to do a better job there,
and so we will, you know, we'll handle that. That
that to me, and I know coach m kracken understands
this completely, but when you have no clue where the
ball's going off the tee, it's the hardest thing in
the world to return those kicks. Those things are kicked
all over the place. So uh, you know, we we've

(02:36:26):
got to do a you know, better job of handling that.
And then you know our defense came out right there
and they gave up the touchdown on online I think
three plays.

Speaker 5 (02:36:33):
So that was that was tough. So we'll we'll, you know,
we'll look at some things to improve on.

Speaker 11 (02:36:36):
But the biggest thing Van is that you know, those
young kids being able to play, you know, twenty twenty
five snaps.

Speaker 5 (02:36:42):
And I appreciate coach not wanting to run the clock.

Speaker 11 (02:36:44):
You know, we both wanted our kids to play, and
I thought we needed some some reps and to gain
experience with those guys.

Speaker 8 (02:36:51):
Yeah, and your defense, I know that was some of
your threes and fours, I know in there late in
that game, getting some good game experience against an offense
that had some athletes. Boy number eight was a load
to bring down. He was a fast guy too well,
and they and they never subbed. You know, they don't
have a lot of guys to to bring in for
for for depth, and those can be the most difficult
because you're still playing.

Speaker 5 (02:37:09):
Their their starters.

Speaker 11 (02:37:10):
I mean, our our young kids were playing their starters,
and you saw a smiss some tackles on the back end.
The things happening a little bit faster than they're used to.
That's a lot faster in the JV game right there.
So you know, for them to learn to tackle in
space with that kind of speed, I think is huge
for us to evaluate that and go back and look
at it because really, you know, play the JV game Monday,
play a lot of a lot of reps tonight, then
we'll play another JV game this coming Monday. So those

(02:37:32):
are this is great building, you know, great development for
those young guys.

Speaker 8 (02:37:36):
Had some guys get banged up and beat up tonight, Coach,
I know we saw one late there. It didn't look good,
but uh, I know it's been a grind this season
with those injuries.

Speaker 5 (02:37:44):
Story of the year. I don't know.

Speaker 11 (02:37:45):
We held I don't know, five starters tonight, good to
good to hold them and still win and get some
other guys reps in those positions. We're building depth. I
mean the silver silver lining is that we're we're building
our depth and and uh, you know it's helpful. I mean,
now we've got quarterbacks that have played a lot in
varsity games. You know, we expect to have kolbe back
next week. He will return to practice on Monday, So

(02:38:07):
that's really exciting for us. And you know, we we
could see Blake and Benett back, you know, we held them,
probably could have played, but again, we can't be seventy percent,
you know, like you can't win at this level with
a guy that's hobbled like Blake was not himself last week,
and so we just made a decision we're not gonna
do that, and we're gonna try to get him fully
healthy and you know, make you know the stretch run.

(02:38:28):
Lukudrick had surgery Monday and it went really well. So hopefully,
you know, Jeremy Dillard is back soon. Lukudrick's back probably
by the end of the year, you know, in game nine,
game ten, So there's a chance to have all of them.

Speaker 5 (02:38:40):
We just at some point need those guys to start
layering back in.

Speaker 8 (02:38:43):
Yeah, and you got a road game next week against
Miss Station. I know they've been a team that's been
struggling in the past couple of years. They got to
win early in the season, had a couple of weeks
they fell to Carver tonight pretty big. But you can't
take anybody for granted anytime you go on the road
to their place. You know, it's going to be a
packed out atmosphere and when Opalaka comes into place, misstation,
those guys are going to be fired up to play
their game of the year.

Speaker 13 (02:39:02):
No doubt.

Speaker 11 (02:39:03):
You know, that's something that has always happened for us
when our program, you know, coaching all these guys made
it what it is, you know it, that's what happens
when people play.

Speaker 5 (02:39:11):
So let's play well.

Speaker 11 (02:39:12):
And really, man, we're not right now where we can
take a step back, like, We're still progressing and our
team is still relatively young. Now we have four games
under our belt with those seventeen new starters this year.
I think that's been massive. You know, we're seeing improvement
though every game. We're improving in some areas and so
that's exciting. Our coaches are doing a good job of

(02:39:32):
you know, pouring in and critiquing those things and making
sure we grade every single thing that we do. And
again we're seeing growth. But it was a good night.
I'm glad that we handled our business and did what
we needed to early in the game.

Speaker 8 (02:39:42):
All right, Coach unk some sorry coach, Yeah.

Speaker 13 (02:39:45):
Let me just ask you a couple of questions I
I was looking at I told Van I was looking
at our stats tonight and I was trying to say, okay,
keys to the game, and then I looked at what
our stats have been in the first three games. I
thought we did a great job tonight defensively not allowing

(02:40:07):
them to run the ball, especially in the first half.
They had like thirty something yards rushing and we had
one hundred and seventy two. That's what you want, and
I think I think that was one of the big things.
You know, nobody turned the ball over in this game.

Speaker 5 (02:40:24):
It's incredible.

Speaker 13 (02:40:26):
There was not a turn I told Van Riggs, there
was no punts until the end of the game, right
at the end of the game when we punted.

Speaker 8 (02:40:34):
Well, the only turnover we had was on special teams
we did drop yet, Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 10 (02:40:40):
And that was it.

Speaker 5 (02:40:40):
That was not for their kids.

Speaker 11 (02:40:42):
Look at their improvement though to not you know, a
lot of times those guys will give it to you
three or four times, and that didn't happen to night.

Speaker 13 (02:40:47):
It made us earn it, you know, yes, and uh,
if you go down the list, the possessions were not
that much different. But here's the other big one that
we didn't have last week. And we didn't have against Callaway.
We didn't and that was we had seventeen big plays

(02:41:10):
in the game. And that was in the right there
through three quarters. You don't usually have seventeen big plays
a run over ten in a pass over fifteen, but
we did tonight. And your backup quarterback Cooper was responsible
for some of those, I mean, you know, and a
couple of those catches that Washington made incredible.

Speaker 5 (02:41:32):
Man, But the big plays were there tonight.

Speaker 13 (02:41:37):
At the big time players come up big time in
big time games, and we just couldn't make the big
time plays against Auburn last week. But we did tonight,
and I hope and I feel like that's gonna carry over.

Speaker 11 (02:41:52):
Yeah, And I think I think we have the kids
to do it, you know. I feel like Jalen can
do it. I feel like dray Van can do it.
I feel like Bennett when he's back in healthy. Obviously,
we can make big runs with our backs, you know,
CJ got oh gosh, yeah, Jordan had a couple of
big runs too, And so you're right, coach, I mean,
that was something you and I talked about in the
all season that we just had to and we're starting to.
We've started tracking that, you know, at practicing in games,

(02:42:13):
and we just felt suffocated against Auburn, you know, we
just couldn't get behind them, and finally we had the
big run at the end. But you're right, like those
big plays helped make easy offense and it opens up
those run lanes too. You start to see some gas
runs when you're throwing the ball over their head and
get the safeties out of the fit. So hopefully that'll continue.
We'll continue to work on it. And again, Wit was
a certainly a bright spot tonight.

Speaker 8 (02:42:33):
Yeah, it makes you feel better though you said you
getting coolby back, but boy, if something happens again down
the road, you know you've gotten these two, both quarterbacks,
such a valuable experience. You can't buy experience like Fuller
had in the Auburn game. And uh and like you
know you saw win half tonight.

Speaker 11 (02:42:48):
Yeah, Fuller and I and I'm you know Fuller played
well too. Yeah, Fuller had moments as well, So you know,
you're exactly right. That's a great room of just kids
like we you know, Carson Daniel, our quarterbacks coach, done
a good job with them and they're fun to be
around and they just work their tail off. I mean
they're in there at six point thirty most every morning
watching the virtual reality stuff. I mean, they're going through
It's just amazing what those kids do. But nothing could

(02:43:10):
help prepare them until they played in these games. And
you're exactly right, man. Now you feel a lot more
confident in that room in general, and you know, heck,
maybe there's a way to see a few, you know,
do some different things. I used to do it with
Matthew Christian and Jake Bentley and we played both kids.

Speaker 5 (02:43:23):
And you know, I'm not saying we have split quarterbacks.

Speaker 11 (02:43:25):
I'm just saying, if there's a package and things that
those kids can do, they're good enough obviously.

Speaker 5 (02:43:29):
To help us win ball gain.

Speaker 8 (02:43:30):
They come in somewhere to ever exactly right, coach, enjoy
the win. I know it's always better to head into
the weekend with a win like this and getting ready
to prepare for another big region win or another region
game next week with a big win like tonight. I
appreciate you guys, Go Dog all right, Thank you very much.
That's coach Brian Moore as we wrap things up tonight
here inside Bulldog Stadium. Stay tuned the Encore Rehabilitation Show

(02:43:51):
coming up next with Jerry Bavaro and Eddie Owen for
Mac McCracken, Coach Spence McCracken and Jason Lee. I'm being ricks.
