From Hollywood to you.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Thank you for listening to us on air with a
Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Let's talk about things that we learned yesterday. Let's go
back into good morning.
Speaker 4 (00:15):
It's kiss, good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Hello Siciny and Tanya, and hello to the back room.
Good morning. Well, we were riding, we were rolling to
La to the valley yesterday. We I'd never done so
much ride in back to back with this crew, this
group right here, right baby. A lot of damn and
(00:39):
a lot of energy, a lot of excitement.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
It's fun.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Let's talk about things that we learned yesterday.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
We were at Disneyland, we were at Los Alamito's High School.
We actually, you know, we should do we should recap
some of this with some of the things actually happened
out there with all y'all without you guys. So let's
do that in a little bit throughout the show. Just
recap some of the spots where we were exactly. I've
never done what we did. Never, No, I've never done
(01:05):
what we did. We started at Children's Hospital of Orange County
in the Seacrest studio, amazing team, amazing patients and families
that we met there, and then we carried on to Disneyland.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Never a dull moment.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
There so much action at Disneyland, exactly Los al and
then the Snow Corner and Ruben Ruben's Bakery.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Good time.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I mean I ate more than I normally eat consecutively
as well, but I didn't take I didn't finish things.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
I took bites.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
Yeah there's more to eat.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Oh, I like a shares eat me too.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Uh So, that's the first time we've ever as a
show traveled through some of the listener areas from southern
California's Orange County to LA to the Valley. I don't
know the same time next year, what do you say?
Speaker 6 (01:52):
Maybe an annual tour.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
The next twenty years.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
It's so fun and you guys want to rush me along.
Come on, we got to go next up, No.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
One, guy, get behind and behind. We were already like
late to a few.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Stops, and I was like, well, this is gonna get
ugly if we will get the schedule.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Do you know why we were late to a few
stops Because I'm the worst selfie taker. I can't get
in the shot, so it takes me three times as
long to get the picture than what it takes you
guys here you just have to.
Speaker 7 (02:17):
Learn which arm you're is longest for you, and always
stand to that far side of whatever.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
There's a longer arm I have, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
My right arm is very long and I can are different. Yeah,
I think it is.
Speaker 7 (02:29):
And so you just have to know which arm is longer,
and you get to the side. So like, my right
arm is longer. So I get all the way to
the right of the frame, and then you get everybody
else to come onto the left.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Information we could have had twenty four hours ago.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
By the way, not only that, I can't hold the
phone with one hand without it falling.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
It's too heavy.
Speaker 6 (02:50):
Well, that seems like a personal problem.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I mean maybe the long arm, the bigger gadget, the
bigger phone.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
They're hard.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Now we're gonna pick bills this morning. It is National
Pretzel Day.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Partly sunny all weekend this morning. You got that fog
out there. Should take off by the weekend. Back next
week high's gonna be low to mid seventies. And just
a thank you to everyone that came out to say
hi yesterday, Malik, thank you for having us yesterday for
a twentieth anniversary tour. We'll get into that too. Malik
is the best. That energy is what I want to
(03:25):
bottle up and take with me everywhere. Malik's energy, I
want to say. He lo to honey Green's Cafe on
Lakewood Boulevard in Downy. Got some folks there listen to
us early in the morning. Honey Green's Cafe, Lakewood Boulevard
in down Eights, r Secretsiney, Tanya, good morning. Yeah, so
we got a little fog, and FOG's gonna come back
(03:47):
next week, partly sunny weekend coming up here in southern California.
Anybody have big plans for the weekend? Sicany, is your
hair lighter?
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Yes, it is lighter.
Speaker 6 (03:59):
Yeah, good mister observing it.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Was light yesterday as it was well, I was out
in the wild with you here.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
In the studio lights, I guess it.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Yeah, it does look a.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Little bit lighter Likeand you're the same color as Tanya.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
It's a little not the same color, but you are.
You're literally a caramel. We have carmel caramel.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
You and Michaele and Tany have the same color hair.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Now cute.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
How did I not notice that? Twelve hours on the
tour with you, I was constracted it.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
Does look different, Like, it does look different.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
To me, Like it does look lighter in person.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
So do you do you like it better than what
it was?
Speaker 5 (04:37):
I do?
Speaker 4 (04:37):
It's me too yet thinks me too too?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Was Michael think you didn't even notice right away?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
I was so mad, Wait, how do you not notice that?
I mean I didn't know it's for a day. But
at least I.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Noticed today because I was like on the couch when
he got home from work and it was just like
yeah that.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
I was like, are you gonna say anything about my hair?
It's like, oh, it looks great, typical Michael.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And that's a minute. You don't get that fast.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Oh yeah, I was in the chair for a long time.
It was like gossip hour the salon.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, a lot of foil, a lot of oil, and
smell that stuff too.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
M hm.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Makes me want to change up my look actually.
Speaker 5 (05:12):
Now, I mean join the club.
Speaker 7 (05:14):
I've been having that itch with myself as well. We
go blond and you go brunette. So it wasn't necessarily
about my hair. I can't change my hair before my wedding,
but it's about my style, Like I feel like I
just want to change my style totally different.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
What do you want to do? I want to simplify mine.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
Yeah, I want to simplify Chaker.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
So what does that mean.
Speaker 6 (05:36):
I don't know. You can't figure it out.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
You got to go to the color specialist, to the color.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Is and it's like, I think Chaker to me means
just wearing the same thing. Yeah, it's just easy.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
Like you know those cool girls that you see like
on Pinterest with like, right.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
That's out for me. Right, I'm never going to be
the cool guy.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Thank you to Children's Hospital of Orange County for latinus kind.
We started to show there and then we did the
show secretively a little bit for a few hours there,
and then announced that we were in. The patients came
in and families came in, and then we left there
and went to Disneyland and losal We're gonna actually recap
Los aliment tilS High. You're Alma mater here in a second.
But it was funny. Also the night before, all of
(06:18):
the staff that works for KISS and some of the
executives that Kiss, we're texting how excited they were for
us to get out there. I thought, well, maybe they're
going to show up, you know, along the way they didn't,
but they were just excited for us to go out there.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
No exactly, I mean, if anything, our boss Beata is
at stagecoach right now.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
So she was like, I will not be there just.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Three weeks, four days, but yes, so, but I saw
a big spirit stick from John Ivy and group text and.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Said, let's go.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
Let's do it.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
It actually really was so much fun.
Speaker 3 (06:52):

lot of promotions seemed Eileen would Bury shutting it out.
Speaker 4 (06:59):

a great honor to be here at Los Alamitos.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Thank you for having us.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
We've been looking forward to this day for a long time,
celebrating our twenty years. You've got some pretty rat students
here some pretty much. This is I'm very happy that
the future of this city is with them in charge.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
It's going to be good news. But thank you very much,
thank you.
Speaker 8 (07:39):

alumni returning here with Tanya and sister. Yeah, that's right,
class about absolutely, and we're just so honored that we
are a part of your tour stop. We have an
amazing school with amazing kids. Our programs are just exceptional,
and we know our community is why. And so I
love these students so much.
Speaker 6 (08:00):
Are the best things part of this.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Day and every day.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
By the way, a very cool principle. Well done. Well,
thank you guys very much.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Continued success, keep up the positive energy and spirit.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
We need you, we love you, we appreciate you. Plus
telling me just go with that. So that was so
sad means so hot.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
We are just taking you back if you missed anything
yesterday of us being out and about, because these things
happened after the morning show. And next hour, where do
you want to go?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Next hour? Let's mark what do you have play next hour?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Maybe right, we're rehashing the itinerary in the timeline, all right,
so we'll go to snow Corner, Long Beach, next hour,
recap that and your morning hack. The three gerneyest places
in our house, so we never remember to clean. You
do want to hear this, but you're gonna want to
deny you heard it, and you're gonna want to You're
probably going to want to defend some of these things.
(08:53):
I definitely don't do any of them. And I am.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
I'm a clean guy. Like I'm a clean person. I
like clean stuff.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Although I have to tell you my mister coffee machine
must have been used now too many times because I
bless you, thank you, because I'm tasting the inside of
the coffee machine and my coffee. And I use a
simple mister coffee machine from the drug store I bought.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Maybe you're cleaning it too much.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
No, I'm not cleaning enough. I can't get it clean enough.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
You know you're supposed to.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
Buy things to like to do a cycle through scaling.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
Yeah, yes, that's what it's called.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Huh, it's called de scaling the scale.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
You're supposed to buy.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
Scaler, Yes, like a filter. Then you run like a hole.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
You fill the whole thing up and then you can
run that whole thing down of water.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Yeah, Well it's what is the whole thing? What is it?
What's it? What is it? Descaler?
Speaker 6 (09:45):
It's a cleaner. It just cleans the inside.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
One of those, different for every machine.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
But the fact that you don't know what that is,
that means you haven't done it once for your coffee machine.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Well listen, I'm the guy that wears socks twice.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Okay, Yeah, we're learning a lot.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Every time I put on a pair of socks, again,
I think of you guys, and it really upsets me.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Do you know what a waste?
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Well, because you can wear socks for a few hours
and then wear them the next day to the gym.
It's a fun you can you can't. Well listen to
these three things Jeremy's places. We never remember to clean.
Number one, the surface above the stove.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
You ever clean that?
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Nope?
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Well you have to. It collects.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
That's why I'm telling you. It collects moisture, which leads
to mold. Mold is the worst thing you can get.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
One two the water and ice dispenser. If you have
one of those on your fridge, how do you clean that?
Where do you clean that?
Speaker 4 (10:39):
The thing you put in?
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, it goes, Yeah, Oh, I was thinking mine, because
like I have like a pull out drawer from my
freezer and our ice is and ice bins.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Oh, I was thinking the automatic thing, like you know,
you put the cup in the door and it comes
right right like that, Like, well, whatever find out water
ice is dispenser.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Well, when you change your filter, you're supposed to run
at least five gallons of water out and it's like
turns black at first and then it like cleans it
all out.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Yeah, No, I haven't done that ever.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
You just keep resetting the filter light, but like never
change the filter.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Bad. Bad.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Here's the next one. Jeremy's placed in your home kitchen
and bathroom trash cans. When was the last time you
cleaned those?
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Never?
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Right, you just kind of dump them out and then
on furughly.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Inside and out. I do not clean.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
Them that I do clean.
Speaker 5 (11:23):
Think about all the flushes and.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
The I know, I know, I remember that hack where
you talk about one million germs them come up every flash. Right,
I can no longer be brushing my teeth over my
toilet when I flush. All right, this enough, let's just
get to the quote. Today's quote. Some things are not
meant for us. Some things are not meant for us
right now, and some things are not meant for this
(11:46):
version of us could apply in several different ways.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
FM the headlines with well.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
TikTok's Chinese parent company said it has no plans to
sell the social media platform. It's first response since President
Biden signed a bill that could lead to a nationwide
ban of the app. After facing criticism over its decision
to cancel its valedictorian speech, USC is now canceling the
main graduation ceremony altogether that had.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Been planned for May tenth.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Elon Musk announced Tesla will be slashing its workforce by
ten percent, with more than three thousand, three hundred layoffs
in California, Alcohol in high school in Sara Bernardino is
celebrating the success of its former quarterback Jaden Daniels, who
was selected second in yesterday's NFL draft by the Washington Commanders,
(12:41):
and Timothy Shalomey and Kylie.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
Jenner are not expecting a child.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Several people close to the Kardashian Jenner family denied that
the swirling rumors, saying simply Kylie is not pregnant.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
On air with Ryan seacrest.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I was reaching an article I think it was in
my feed about Taylor and her trainer.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Kirk at dog Pound.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Yeah, and Kirk at dog Pound here in La was
saying he trains her like there's off season and on
season training site depending on which cycle she's in with
the tour. And he also said that the normal person
or anyone maybe was I can't remember what it was,
but like, if you tried.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
To do her workout, most likely you would throw up insanity.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
That's exactly how I expect Taylor to work out though.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Yeah, she's like one hundred percent on everything, and you
could see her in the gym grind it didn't.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
She run on the treadmill for three and a half
hours and do her entire sets.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
That's what you told me.
Speaker 7 (13:42):
Yeah, with her with her posture correcting.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Sports bra because you've got to work on the breath
control while moving exactly.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Song and the notes and lyrics and the pitch. It's
a lot. And I was reading that article all right.
Speaker 3 (13:59):

Now we got to know them, actually Ruben, because we
saw in the news they were victims of a smash
and grab robbery that was back in January. Did a
(16:15):
lot of damage. Put Ruben on the air. We talked
to him about it and he's back. The man is back,
the business is back, and he's grateful to the community
for helping him get back, and we want to go
see him. So we went there in person. We had
free burritos yesterday and one person got a thousand dollars
get the bills paid.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
I don't think that you're gonna I don't think you're
gonna get excited by something I'm wearing, right, I mean
you're excited about.
Speaker 6 (21:59):
This, Yeah, but you still look like polished and chic.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Well, I appreciate you, Tanya.
Speaker 6 (22:05):
Yeah, you're welcome.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
Appreciate that. Yeah, all right, let's get to our hometown huster.
Speaker 5 (22:09):
Come on, I'm a hustle bit let's go.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
I got Rend and Caroline on the line. Guys, you
have so great you have scored a sweet spot in
my heart. So let me just break it down. This
is Rent and Carolina bakes some noise. So Caroline worked
in advertising. Ren was a DJ. They're our hometown house.
Are celebrating some folks here in southern California doing their
own thing, found their own business or own niche and
making it work and paying their bills and they're having
(22:38):
fun doing something they love.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
That's really what we all want.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
It's hard to find, hard to do, and take some
courage and a lot of times big sacrifice. But you
guys did it. And I want to hear Ren Caroline,
which everyone wants to speak. First, you got to tell
me about the trip you took to New York and
what you realized LA didn't have.
Speaker 10 (22:57):
Yeah, so you know, we were both working in our
respected industries. I believe it was in twenty nineteen, we
took a trip to New York. We were there for
like six months, just working, and what we realized there
was that there's cookie specific bakeries, which LA lacks.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
At that time.
Speaker 10 (23:14):
A few popped up, you know, recently, but at the
time they didn't have that here in LA. And so
when we got back, we were like, you know, let's
give us a try, let's try to do our own thing,
and let's make it fun. And that's how Bake Some
Noise started.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
Yeah, cookie only bakeries, a lot of them in New York,
in the city.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
And they came back they decided to do it and
now you offer the most I'm looking at pictures like
the most unbelievable looking chocolate chip, a peanut butter chocolate chip,
a walnut chocolate chip. And you took a nineteen seventy
two Volkswagen bug and customized.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
It a bus.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
A bus actually, okay, you can customize it.
Speaker 10 (23:49):
Yes, what we did was we actually chopped the top.
We took out one half of the bus to make
a counter just so people are able to walk up
and enjoy the cookies with us. And it's this is
completely customized and we've just been enjoying, you know, driving
it around and just servicing people.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
So do you sell the cookies just out of the bus?
Is that what you do? How does it work?
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (24:13):
So what we do is we have a facility where
we do everything there and then we love up the
bus with our team and we just take it around town.
Pop the top open, we drop the counter, and you know,
we go from there and we sell out of the
bunch yep tops.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Will you do me a favorite, Give me one of
my file folders where I can put all the things
I want to make sure when it's like my birthday
and stuff that I pull up because this is what
I need at my birthday.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
I'm a cookie.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
I'm not a sweet sky, but I melt renting Caroline
for cookies and I love it when they have that
that Like I didn't know how to describe the thickness
of the moisture in the center, right, like moisture in.
Speaker 5 (24:52):
It's just the perfection.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
What is it that gives them so soft and moist
in the center when they're big and thick like that?
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (24:59):
You I think a lot of it has to do
with the preparation that goes into making the cookies. And
then you know, one of our secret is the high
heat at a you know X amount of time. We
don't want to give away all of our secrets. Yeah yeah,
but you know, I I think for us especially we
we really only do the classic flavors. Right, So if
you were if you took a look at the menu,
(25:21):
you'd see that it's a you know, the original chocolate
chip or a walnut chocolate chip, oatmeal raised in it's
We really don't try to complicate anything and really just
stick to what we know best. And that's why our
menu is is really very simplified.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Well it looks awesome.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Ren and Carolina bake some noise wilshin Serrano in Korea Town.
That's where we're talking them from. And you can go
to app bake some noise on I g or Bakesnoise
dot com. But this is the perfect Volkswagen bus to
have roll up for something fun like Tanya and Robbie's wedding.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Yeah, this is what we want.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
The late night snack is.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
Well, I yes, of course, to have some sort of.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
Late night snackets.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
And look at this bus and he was a DJ.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Come on, we could put it. We could put a
DJ in there, you know.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
After party.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Awesome, guys, thanks for being the whole toownhouse or continued
success love a local business like this, all right, appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (26:18):

Speaker 5 (26:20):
But I want to dunk in my should come here
and park in the loading duck.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
And but let's let's let's save it for a special event. Cookie,
we had a lot coming up. Ruby you got one too?
Speaker 5 (26:30):
Yes, right, I would love that with like ice cream too.
I like cookies.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
Did you ever go to DD Reese in Westwood?
Speaker 7 (26:39):
There's a harder okay, easy, no, No, I'm just saying that,
don't talk cookie.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
It's not hard, it's homemade soft and they put ice
creams and make ice cream sandwiches out of them that
are homemade too. Mikayla, you got a big wedding coming
up as well, and you're going with some guy from
Hinge the Cookie vand right you could say, look, I'll
come along and I'll bring a cookie van.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
You know, we had the hometown user on earlier.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
If there's somebody that like, maybe it's you, your business
or somebody you know that you want to be a
hometown hustler. In that segment, we you have a Friday
easy break it down for us. It's got to be
like local and it's got to be something they're loving
to do. And there's a great story where they the
leap and they left their day job to do something
they wanted to do because it was their passion and
(27:24):
they made it work.
