Speaker 1 (00:00):
Why don't two point seven? It's kids Harry styles there. Well,
you know, when you've worked with someone a long time,
you just don't fight it.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
You don't I would. You don't fight it. You just
let him run with it. You know.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Tanya has said to me, there must be some meaning
behind the fact that you never finish some of the
things that you start.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Now, let's be clear.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Personally, professionally, I can I steer it to full follow
through in completion.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
That's what I'm saying, though, Like there there is like
if you think about it, you don't. You you are
very you don't like things to finish, Like you've been
doing all your jobs for several several sub.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Several years, two decades plus for most of them.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah, which is indunerable and like amazing.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
So are you saying that I fear the end card?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah? Okay, Well, anyway, you don't fight this stuff when
your coworker colleague brings it up. So Tanya spent endless
hours researching what it all means. Yeah, we were talking
about TV show specifically because I mentioned I finished Baby
Reindeer in one sitting. I had to Everybody told me,
you got to see it, I said, I thought Tany
and Ruby would be exciting proud of me because I
so rarely finished those shows, right, yeah, or even movies

(01:14):
like Saltfurn So what'd you learn?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
So actually it's interesting because there were several different things.
So one of them is like fear of evaluation, and
I think it's specific to TV and movies. So you
might avoid finishing things because you don't want to be
judged on them. Rather, you prefer to be judged on
your efforts. So like when everybody says they're watching all
these things, you want to be in on the conversation

(01:38):
of like, yeah, i'm watching it too, I'm watching it too.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
But then you don't really want.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
The follow up like did you like it, because you
don't want to answer if you liked it or not.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I don't like I don't think that's true. What else
do you learn?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Okay? It could be the anticipation versus completion. So there's this.
You enjoy the anticipation excitement of watching a series or
something new, but.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Then I get sad when it's over.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yes, yes, it's like I didn't want to get a
dog for myself because I was afraid of the lifespan.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Yeah, so the anticipation does diminish as you go on,
and there may be less motivation to complete the series.
Then I found this thing called never finish anything syndrome,
and there is this like five step prescription to like
not to resolve this quickly, create a list of remove
things that you don't want to finish, and kind of
like things like that. But I do think that there

(02:25):
is something there psychologically.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
That it's bigger than just not finishing a TV show. Yes, m.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Le, let's just do this information mark now, I can't,
I won't sleep time.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
No.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I think this is so great. I think when when
you start to kind of like look at these things
in your life and you really start to analyze, you
start to have these breakthroughs where you start to understand yourself,
you have more compassion for yourself and empathy. And I
think this is really going to be great.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Well, I started a new series called Your Honor right now.
It's not new, but I started it. It's new to me.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah, did you enjoy it?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
I watched the first episode in its entirety nice, proud
of you, and it's great.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I'm hooked. Are you going to finish it? I am
going to work on my symbolism here and try and
finish it for you and the focus.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Just put that one show that's.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
