Speaker 1 (00:00):
Siciny this is you know, when you read something, you go, wow,
that will be with me.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
As you said, I will live with this forever.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Every time you go on a flight you look at
a pilot, you will think this, and now I know
why and it makes sense.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
I kind of consider there is like random useless information
that you kind of didn't really need, but like now
you know, and we will never forget. So yeah, I mean,
being a pilot definitely has its perks, But when it
comes to facial hair, yeah, that's gonna not be a
thing for them. Beards are prohibited on most major airlines,
meaning that they have to not even have like a
really thick scruff. I mean probably like a small scruff

(00:34):
is fine, but I'm talking about like the like the
Santa type beards, you know, like, okay, be what I
have right Yes that is you're like almost clean shaite
right now. But even your scruff, like when you do
get scruffy days, I feel like that would be okay,
scruffy days, what are we gonna get those back?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Please?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
See, Well, it's not an official policy enforced by FAA,
like telling them exactly you have to have a clean
shaved face. But these policies are kind of put in
place by airlines, and so they say no beards or
a minimal beard, and it's all because they have to
ensure that the oxygen mask will fit on their face.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
They want the pilots to be able to breathe so
they can land the plane.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
These are these are the people that are going to
save your lives in case of an emergency.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
To be able to put that mask and fit.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
We can't have a pass out because there's an air
gap because of their big beard.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Exactly makes a lot of sense now.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
It got me thinking though about the passengers that are
on the plane though.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
It's like, whoa, what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
To the big bearded My big bearded husband wants that
rockets beard.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Like, well, maybe we all need to shave our beards
before we fly.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I guess what I was reading further onto it. It's
like they're not expected to perform energy exerting activities that
you know, raises their.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Plane cause it oxygen masks to come down. I'm energy
exerting and panic.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
It's more so like crew needs to probably still be
up and about helping, helping passengers and things like that
while you're a passing your You're just gonna sit in
your seat and hope for the best.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Well, now we know, and we will never unsee it.
I know, look at it differently, and yeah, I guess
I'm I'm cleanly shaven today, I could fly.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I'm ready. Oh did you ever want to be a
pil I can't sit that still for that long, like
every day? What's on it?

Speaker 3 (02:22):
You've been so clean shaven for so long, and I
feel like it's time to bring this scruff back and.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
It's impossible to please you, too, Spirity Carpenter tickets are
