the pack, the Man Chris Martin, is here with us.
Earlier this morning we announced that he Chris, will be
performing at our I Already of Music festival next month
in Las Vegas. For me, after we speak with you,

I always feel a little bit better, like you have
an You have an energy about you that I think
is it's exuded from you but contagious to us. And
the energy is calming because we're not calm, Chris. We
live in a state of velocity.

But but I'm serious about in person on stage when
we chat. So you do have a centered calmness, and
is that something that is Is it intentional or is
that just like who you are?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Well, that's very sweet if that's true. It's very takes
a lot of work, and of course I'm going to
be calm when I speak to you. If I came
on here first thing in the morning, it would be
no interview at all. It would just be a paranoid
wreck like every other human. But I'm old enough to
I've got some good tools and some good ways of thinking.

That helped calm me down a bit, and otherwise life
would be, you know, terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Do you get Do you get nervous at all when
you perform in front of people?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Not? If we've rehearsed, then if I have the right shoes,
and I was talking about this the other day with
someone that there are certain outfits you can't I couldn't
go on stage in so that would make me nervous.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Like the way Elton dresses. You couldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Uh, I mean that would probably be easier than if
I had to go on and sure I could never
perform in shorts.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
For example, you don't like your legs now as you're jumping.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It's not for me to comment on my legs. I
think if you if you're born in Britain and shorts
are very much like I'm not working.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Right right right, Well, speaking of I know you're gonna
work forever. You're going to perform forever, your tour as
long as you want to tour.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
But it is true.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I guess that you have said you're not going to
make more Cold Plate albums, a lot of new music
in the future or any in the future.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Well, we have we have this one and then we
have two more.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
So you've done them, that's it, that's it.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Well, they're in process, but we have twelve in total. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Well you want to know where I am.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Right now, Ryan, I'm in Vienna and it's so nice
to be here.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Can I tell you one of my fondest memories, tiny
and sisty. I think I mentioned this to you years
and years ago. I had the unbelievable opportunity to go
to Ireland and just outside of Dublin there's a place
called the Slain Castle. And that night you drive, if
you have to use the restroom, you go to a

(03:32):
hill outside like there's no real restroom, and everyone sort
of marches into this beautiful place outside of Dublin and
on the bill that night, the ticket was read out
Chili Peppers, You two, and Coldplay.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
It was one of the greatest. When you look back
at that, what do you think about.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Well, we were opening and for us it was like
being in Madame two swords for the first time. Everywhere
you look like, wait, that's a real person.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
And it was our first time on a helicopter. I
remember that, And I remember that because none of us
knew how that worked, and we were just overwhelmed that
you would possibly show up to a gig.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
And I mean, it's still land in the grass of
the castle. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, And we were so young and and what I
remember is how sweet you two were to.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Us, well three of us from you to the band. Yeah, ye,
three of us whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
But you two and you two and you three were
all becaus. But at the time it just seemed like
we'd landed on another planet.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Had you met you two before? It was at the
first time you met you too.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
But the first proper time.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, this was back in two thousand and one. But
it's just one of those memorable things where you go, wow,
these three acts are on wednesdaye outside in open air,
outside of a beautiful city, Chris Martin, my friend. Thank
