Speaker 1 (00:00):
One up, two point seven kids, step back. I look.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
So I think sometimes people's bodies give off an odor.
They may not know they're giving off an odor. Like
I think, if I have bo I don't know. I
have to check my pit, I have to touch my
pit and smell my hand ye or invite someone to smell.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
It like me mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
You just don't know if you have it.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Sometimes, right, because like when I work alone, I can't
even smell my colone anymore.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
You get used to it.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Exactly, what do you do if someone has an aroma
that is less than pleasant? And what do you do
if you're at the gym, for example? That's where Tanya
was when this happened.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Right, Yeah, So I was on a treadmill and the
guy to my right, I had Robbie to my left,
another man to my right, and it actually wasn't b oh.
It was bad breath, very very bad breath. And I
just could not stop smelling it. And so Robbie kept saying,
move over, move over, move to a different treadmill, and
I was like, you know what, no, because then you
just never know who you're going to go next to.

(00:53):
So I went out to the front reception desk where
they have the pure l for your hands. I rubbed
a little of it under my nose. Was and I
couldn't smell anything but the purel for the rest of
the class.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Genius. That's so fascinating and obvious.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Yeah, sometimes you never know, you don't know what to do.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
You're like, what do I do? It was like very.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Aromatic, aromatic, Yeah, aromatic, aromatic, And so I just rubbed
a little purel under the nose and.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
And that's all you smell.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I smell the rest of the class. And I'd have
to say anything, very easy.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Thing to do. I was on an airplane or.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
If you're on a train, Yeah, right under the nose.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Very easy to do. But what about if I a cologne?
Would that work?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Put it under your nose?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Anything but purel, I think is like anti bacterial. And
I feel like, yeah, sense do something.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, good on you with that tip today. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I was really proud of myself.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I was like, I will smell it anymore.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
