Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Thank you for listening to US Air on Air with
a Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Good morning Friday.
Speaker 4 (00:11):
Oh, Friday the thirteenth. Anybody want to react to that?
Speaker 5 (00:19):
That's Taylor Swift's favorite.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
Number, Friday the thirteenth. Maybe the back room is alive
this morning.
Speaker 6 (00:26):
I'm having light issues over here.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
By the way, I've got I've got printer issues. Tubbs
has put a strange thing around my microphone holder today.
It feels like Friday the thirteenth. I got toothpaste on
my clothes this morning.
Speaker 7 (00:40):
How did you do that?
Speaker 6 (00:41):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Because I got dressed and then I would have coffee,
and then I went to rebrush my teeth in a rush,
and it was at the end of the tube and
I squeeze, squeez, squeeze it right out of the neck
of the tube. And then when I popped it, it
popped onto my shirt. Getting toothpaste out of your shirt
is not an easy task to do when you're trying
to run out the door.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Right, How hard are you squeezing the tube?
Speaker 7 (00:59):
Though?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Well, you know, I take it to the end. I
squeeze it all the way up to this is what
happens to You're like it is at the internet.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Popped out almost yeah, exactly was at So I got
I got all the way up to the top, to
the to the shoulders of it, like the collar bone
of the tooth, and I pressed the collar bone and
then it popped out at me.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
We play a game of like who can squeeze their
tubes out the longest?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Like, oh my gosh, you guys are fun. You guys
are fun.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Like we'll get it down to where you think there's
like no toothpaste left, and then we'll see how many
more days of toothpaste you can get.
Speaker 7 (01:32):
And we're like always so blown away.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
But joy, what's the prise? What's for the wade?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Actually, it is totally annoying. I don't like that I
do that. I wish that I could stop, but I
have this thing. Maybe it's because when I was a kid,
my mom used to make me use all of it
until you can get one last drop out before she
put a new one in the bathroom.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
She should now.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
I'm just anyway, it's squirted all over me this morning?
How are you so tiny? You did not sleep well?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
No, I didn't not sleep well, and I woke up
and my ar ring also told me that I didn't
sleep well, so busy.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I had it for a long time and I loved
it for a while, and then I knew when it
said you got two point one hours of sleep, and
then it just like made me feel bad about.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Me, you know.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
But what's really crazy is I'm starting to realize that
when I wake up, I have a certain feeling when
I don't sleep well, and then when my my ring
confirms it. So now I'm starting to naturally know what
that feeling is.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Like it's called fatigue, but it is time is different.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Like I'm starting to like feel it in myself, which
I think is a good thing.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Obvious, didn't you say you drank last night? And so
there you go. It's like if you.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
To tell you you're hungover.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Between the cocktails and the toothpaste, you guys are having
the time of your life.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
Yeah, we accidentally got drink like four.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Drinks last night, accidentally got drunk. Yeah she was over
served you, Yeah it happens, Yeah, over saving herself. What
did you have?
Speaker 5 (02:58):
What was your drink of champagne? A martini? And then
like some sort of.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
You can't mix mean, what was you Junior varsity.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Literally mixes like that.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
All the players, all the teams know you can't mix. Yeah,
but you know you can't mix, right, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (03:19):
No, I never make She's a freshman.
Speaker 7 (03:22):
From champagne to a martini.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
You cannot. You can't, not not at your not at
our chapter, right, not at our chapter. Our bodies can't
do it.
Speaker 7 (03:34):
We have passed that era.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
That era.
Speaker 7 (03:37):
Robbie was like, I don't feel so yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah you have after the martini more no an espress.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
It was like an espresso. Martine was like a.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Dessert martini, sugary and caffeine.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah, we're gonna send you on with a handbook today. Man,
if you're flying going to Lax one of the airports
tune southern California, And uh, I've got a little tidbit here.
Speaker 7 (03:59):
I am flying today.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
It just dawned on you.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Well, then great, I have a tidbit for how you can.
I know you have your way of initiating conversation, but
this might be better for them to better for them
for you to initiate. You know what I'm saying, Like
it's a good way for everybody to enjoy the initiation
and not be annoyed by it. All Right, Before we
get to the horoscopes this morning. Much more reasonable temperatures
tonight to be outside on this Friday Night Lights. Let's
(04:25):
start with the Southern California Football Action Long Beach Milliken Rams.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
They lost to Downy last week.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
It was a big scoring game though, sixty nine sixty
eight on a touchdown with fourteen seconds left. They tried
to bounce back this week against the Upland Highlanders, who
lost at LA Park last week thirty four to thirty
three on a last minute field goal. Those are always exciting.
The big game in Soritos tonight, this isn't Tanya. The
Sorita's Dons will head down one to eighty third Street
to play the Valley Christian Defenders at their newly remodeled stadium.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
There's nothing better than a fresh locker room, a new field,
new stands, new concession stands, all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
It's homecoming for the Defenders and both teams have started
the season three and oh got a game of the
week Friday Night Lights High school action the number six
Santa Margarita Eagles and their QB Fletch Palmer Fletch. If
that's not a famous QB name, what is could be
a receiver Fletch Palmer, right, but it's QB. Fletch, son
(05:20):
of us C legend Carson Palmer. They head all the
way down one thousand Oaks with a solid two hours
of traffic in their future. You should probably now, guys,
Team Palmer's all you guys. Anyway, they're playing the number
eleven Oaks Christian Lions and running back to Sean Rideaux.
It's guy's a star. There's skies tonights for Friday night
lights high in the upper sixties at game time. Perfect,
(05:41):
So bring a hoodie and enjoy. Goodluck to all the
teams that work so hard during the week. I mean
balance in school, balancing, cheerleading, balance in any extra curricular
and the games go cheer go team you throw.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
In the cheerleaders. Oh, by the way, I know it's
not practice all the time with US.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
I know every day you guys practice hard and you
also deliver well.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Wow, Like it fired me up to see making me
relive my glory days fired me up. Who's my chiller
carry roostack?
Speaker 4 (06:10):
All the football players got like chilladers to make them
snacks growing up, and she would make me chocolate covered pretzels.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
I love them so much.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Brought us some of those chocolate covered pretzels.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
They were super good. Right, it's a salt in the chocolate.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, all right, it is a Friday. How's your day
going to shape up if you follow your stars? Signed
the horoscopes for Friday the thirteenth.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Okay, Aries, pay attention to the messages in your dreams.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
Taurus, crack open a book that will let you escape.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Gemini, you'll be extra motivated to achieve your goals today.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
Cancer, make a lunch date with your boss to discuss
your professional trajectory.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
Leo, you are the voice of authority. Stand loud. Virgo,
you'll be super social today. Libra men fences of misunderstanding.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
Scorpio, connect with a valuable contact today.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
Sagittarius clearsome space in your life.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Capricorn released clutter and relationships that have been waning.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
New down, Aquarius.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Yea boxes everywhere.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
Deeer clear of the same old, same old empisses.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Trust your intuition. Actually I don't have boxes.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Tubs left some boxes. He put some new equipment in
these massive dell boxes. You told me I can get
rid of you. You were hanging on to the like
a week with the styro Pune and all. I thought,
maybe we're going to reuse them.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
Ha ha.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I hate getting rid of boxes. It's the worst. They're
like big Dell computer boxes, right because you gotta break
it down.
Speaker 7 (07:29):
I have to step on them.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
I thought he wanted to come over and make a
force with me or something.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
The new iPhone sixteen's coming out in a few days,
and instead of us trying to figure out by reading
what the features are actually got, I think we had.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
A tech person to help us from KTL I.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Rich over there does all the tech. He's a gadget gy,
loves the new gadget. So this new iPhone, what's it
gonna do? What's gonna annoy us about it? How much
is it? I think I'm not nearer than I'm gonna
look at model I'm on, but it's not near what
the latest is.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
It's time for an upgrade for me as well.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yeah, because mine's doing glitchy. Mine's glitchy.
Speaker 7 (08:00):
My batteries.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
I don't have great battery anymore. And that's always like
the first sign.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
So let's get into that. Let's find understand and find
out what it's all about. After seven o'clock we'll do
that Manetta come back over into the microphone in the
back room for a second. So each morning, the horoscopes
are given out by Sisney and Tanya yea, and we
can choose to use them to navigate our lives or not.
But often when they speak to you and they work,
(08:25):
you think, well, maybe I should really pay attention to
the star sign stuff. Right, Yes, So what happened yours
was absolutely like one point the other day.
Speaker 8 (08:34):
Yeah, I heard it and it said and ex is
coming out of the woodwork. And literally that same week,
my I guess my ex has a girlfriend now. And
she reached out to me and she was.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Like, I know, putting me in a very awkward situation.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Stop no, but this is juicy what she's saying.
Speaker 8 (08:54):
So she was like, Hi, you know, I just want
to reach out and ask if he's been cheaned out
to you because he's been lying about some things.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Oh my god, just like girl, oh you don't want
to get involved exactly.
Speaker 8 (09:08):
But the funny thing is that I heard Tanya's the
horoscope and it just reminded me of how accurate that was.
Speaker 7 (09:18):
Thank you, Mariana.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Yes, but Marianna, hold on for a second.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
I have how make you feel that your ex is
screwing up his current relationship right now?
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Did you feel good about that? I feel good about it.
Speaker 8 (09:29):
I'm not gonna lie. I felt a little good because
when I was leaving him, I was so heartbroken. I
was like, oh my god, the next girl he gets,
he's gonna cheer you so much better, and like, you know,
I'm not gonna be able to get over.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
On the inside of your head.
Speaker 8 (09:45):
Yeah, I mean, everybody talks to themselves, right, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
Let's break up voice my guy voice.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Though.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
I gotta tell you, though, it does make me feel
good if I'm you that he's not getting it right still,
Yeah you know what I mean, still not getting right,
Still can't figure it out, still screwing things up.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
I know.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 8 (10:07):
It made me feel a little good. But what trooped
me out was the fact that Tanya's horoscope was so accurate.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Honestly, job, Tanya, nice work. I don't have to respond.
But the rumor through all of the iHeartRadio halls is
you've got a big date tomorrow night, matting on them.
Speaker 8 (10:23):
I do, and I'm excited for it.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
And that's the difference. She's usually never excited for them.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
So let's not ruin this by getting into it today.
Let's get into it on Monday, okay, or next week.
Let's not screw it up. Now, leave your breakup voice
at home when you go.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
On this date.
Speaker 8 (10:39):
I promise I will so listen to this.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
If you're flying anytime soon, headed to the airport, maybe
you're on their way this morning.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
And Tanya tends to talk.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
She likes to get on a plane and talk to
a lot of people, anybody that will listen to it.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
She likes it.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
Then, some people love a conversation. Other people really don't.
They look sort of not to have a conversation. I
can go either way, honestly. I can go deep into
chat or I can be tired and not really want
to engage too much and just put a hat on.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
It depends on the flight for me.
Speaker 6 (11:06):
Like if it's a flight to Vegas, fine, But a
flight to New York, no, because too.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Long because you have engage the whole time. So all right,
here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Etiquette experts say, there's a perfect time to talk to
the person next to you if you want to talk
to them. It's not when you take off, it's not
mid flight. It's when the pilot announces your discent.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Oh, caise, you got like thirty.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Minutes, twenty two minutes, twenty six minutes where the descent
is okay, thirty.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
That's plenty because if you're intrigued, then you can exchange
information about that.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
That's the point. The point is it's enough time for
the other person. If they're not into talking to you, that.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
Just seems like such a waste of time for.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Your fascinating people. In twenty minutes I need and if
it doesn't go, well, you're done.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
You can escape. So I'm just suggesting it.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
You know, I talked to a stranger my entire flight
from New York back to LA the entire flight a
stranger completely.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
You know what, that person cancel their return flight. Oh no, no, we're.
Speaker 7 (12:00):
Still in touch today.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
It's actually Steven Spielberg's sister, Nancy Spielberg.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Well, no, wonder you kept in touch break, Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Today's quote here it is on a Friday, the thirteenth.
Normality is a paved road. It's comfortable to walk, but
no flowers grow.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
That's true.
Speaker 7 (12:24):
I don't get it.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
Do flowers grow?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
With Vincent Mango FM headlines with well a massive fire
burned through the roof of a three story apartment building
early this morning in Chinatown has left one person in
critical condition and two others injured.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
High bacteria levels at multiple beaches have prompted the La
County Department of Public House to issue ocean water used
warnings at local beaches like Mother's Beach in Marina, del Rey,
Walnut Creek at Palst Paradise Cove, and more. Amazon Fresh
Store in San Bernardino County celebrated its grand opening yesterday
on Highland Avenue in Fontana, and Cardi b Welcome to
(13:08):
baby Girl, her third child with her husband Offset, just
weeks after filing for divorce on air with.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
The Ryan Seacrets.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Cool temperatures. That's nice. Some great farmers markets this weekend.
I was just looking here. Silver Lakes got theirs, Pasadena
Farmers Market, Studio City Sysnant your farmer's markets that week,
West Covina Farmers Market and more. Go out and get
your almonds and berries. So usually I would go to
our engineer Jeffrey Tubbs on you know what the latest
iPhone features are. But I come back after the conversation
(13:43):
a little unfulfilled. I don't know if you felt that way,
But I feel like he hasn't necessarily studied it so well.
And by the way, it's fair, it's fine. It's not
like your job to study all the tech of the world.
So I started from scratching, like who knows tech.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
It's not me.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
I don't necessarily know it so well. I mean, anyone
in the back room when to explain the iPhone to me?
The new one, the new iPhone.
Speaker 6 (14:02):
There's a cool new cool features that are explainable.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
They're easy, kelech, can you explain them?
Speaker 10 (14:07):
I love taking photos, so I'm really excited about the
new feature where it's on the side and you can
hold your phone like an actual camera, like horizontally, and
then you know emergency use for it, and.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
It's like touched on.
Speaker 6 (14:18):
You can like zoom in and out just on the
side of your phone by sliding your fingers.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
An expert that doesn't sleep until they know all the
features of these iPhones when they come out. Rich Tomorrow
from rich on Tech on KTLA. The guy with the
greatest smile and I do like the hairstyle. Didn't mean
for that to rhyme ch How are you.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Thank you?
Speaker 11 (14:37):
That's quite the opening. Yes, thank you appreciate it. I
put a lot of effort into my hair and into
my gadgets because yes, I do not sleep. We just
got back from Cooper Tino all the new iPhone stuff,
iPhone sixteen and yes, the camera control is kind of
like the new thing on this It's an extra button
on the side of the phone that lets you activate
the camera and take pictures.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Okay, so he went to Coopertino. He actually went inside
the opperation. Yeah, that's very cool.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
So it's the sixteen that's coming out, rich, Is that right?
Speaker 11 (15:07):
Yeah, you got iPhone sixteen and sixteen Pro. The Pro
models are where a lot of the upgrades are. But
you know, anyone's gonna see an uprade. You're gonna get
better battery, better cameras. The screens look better on the
Pro models. It's the largest screens we've ever seen on
an iPhone, six point three inches six point nine inches,
but they didn't make them much bigger, which is nice
(15:28):
if you're trying to fit these things in your pocket.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
So I'm still on the twelve. By the way, I've
got a ways to go. I'm on the twelve.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
I'm like more chargers.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
You know, you're not.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
I'm on the twelve twelve. He ish, I just looked
it up. I'm inside my settings. I'm amazed I found
it myself. But it's a twelve program.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
Rich Rich Dumorrow here for all of the text stuff
from KTLA Live on kf I am six forty eleven
am to two pm on Saturdays. What are the what
will be the best feature and what will annoy us
the most?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Because I think they're getting too smart?
Speaker 11 (15:58):
Well, okay, the AI is coming next month, so that's
going to be interesting, and I think Siri is going
to get a whole revamp when that happens. The cool
thing is you're going to be able to finally search
through your photos the way that you want, so you
can literally be as specific as find that time I
jumped into a pool in a blue bathing suit, and
it will it will skip right to that area of
(16:18):
the video.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
I've been that. You can kind of do it right now.
Speaker 6 (16:22):
You just search like beach or pool and it'll all
pool pictures and yeah, you just have to shuffle through them.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
This is so much better.
Speaker 11 (16:31):
This is another one I think if you if you
ever have to capture kids in sports, you can now
pause your video recordings. I discovered that playing with the phone,
and that's a big deal because all the androids do that.
iPhone finally getting the ability if your kids up at
bat and you want to just you know, record them
and not have seventeen thousand clips, you can finally pause
your video recordings.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Good.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
Yeah, that's good because yeah, so you're editing as you go.
Speaker 11 (16:58):
Yeah, you're holding yeah exactly, so you have like one
video instead of one hundred. Faster wireless charging. That's a
new one, so your phone will actually charge faster when
it's on a wireless charger.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
I like that.
Speaker 11 (17:10):
Better heat dissipation. I know it sounds silly, but the
iPhone heats up, and they re engineered him a little
bit so that the heat goes out of it quicker,
so that you don't get that like overheating or in
your car when you're charging in the sun. That should
be better. On the camera, obviously, they always upgrade the
camera every year. This year it's better too.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
So Rich Tomorrow, Rich on Tech from Channel five KKLA,
we watch actually have you on with the SoundOff in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
We see you, guys.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
You can't really hear you, guys, because we're doing our thing,
but rich what's the cost? When should we?
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Like, what is the price point of the sixteen iPhone?
Speaker 11 (17:46):
So the sixteen is going to start at eight hundred dollars,
the pro models start at one thousand dollars. My recommendation,
don't go with that base storage one hundred and twenty
eight gigs because you are going to fill that up
instantly with all that four K video and downloads from
Netflix and music and stuff like that. They'll go if
you can a little bit higher. These phones are available
on September twentieth, and they've got some cool colors too.
(18:09):
So by the way, the sixteen comes in like this ultramarine, blue, teal, pink.
There's some of like the most bright colors we've seen
on iPhones in a long time.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
But that's good because I can't fighting.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Yeah, we want those because you can't find your phone
even if you don't have you know the case, you
know the case?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
All right, rich thanks for conk.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Finally we found somebody knows what they're talking about, because
normally we're trying to figure this out on our own.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
We appreciate you coming.
Speaker 11 (18:31):
On anytime, anytime, all right, Richard.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Murrow, There thanks, great style.
Speaker 7 (18:37):
I'm still trying to figure out one of these features.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
The camera one pause that that is a game changer.
Imagine going to a concert and you're taking a video.
You can now like just I want a little bit of.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
This little now because otherwise you have eighteen you're trying
to search for the right Yeah, and then.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
It's all the best moments.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
So take out your fingers. I mean, I'm sure they're
out right now, but go ahead and look at your
pinky if you can't, does your pinky looks straight? Like
is it in a straight line or is it crooked
in some way? Or is there something that's changed in
your pinky?
Speaker 6 (19:07):
Fingers and look at your pinky that you hold your
phone in specifically up you can definitely see like an
indent in my gross and true.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
You know it's true. So what what are we identifying here?
Speaker 6 (19:23):
We're talking about phone pinky and so we're all on
our phones a lot, and chances are that pinky is
not straight anymore, and it's starting to I guess, I
mean essentially kind of deform itself a little bit. It's like, yeah,
we have a little bet. Mine is very I mean,
we should all deep, we should take pictures of our
pinkies and post them for you guys, just to show
(19:44):
maybe the comparison of like what you.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
See if you're can identify who's pinkish, okay, And so
this is the same pink.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
I used to drink, you know when I stick my
pinky out, and now it's a cross pinky. Yeah, now
it's a little my drinky pinky and my iPhone think exactly,
I had a little bump in it or a dent.
Speaker 6 (20:01):
And it's caused by the weight of our phone when
we're resting. So like if you're holding your phone, that's
right there. It's literally right where I rest my phone
every day that I hold it. Bam, Yeah, thinking about
all the times we're on it and we're just scrolling
and scrolling, scrolling, scrolling and scrolling. So the condition blew
up on TikTok recently and influencers started showing their bent
(20:22):
or dented pinkies, and now everybody just can't stop looking
at them.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
So you're just trying to.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Take a picture. I know you were talking.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
I'm listening, but I'm trying to take a picture of
my pinky. Ever you want to take looks like it's
not a pinky.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
I know, I guess trying to make it look like
a hand look so good.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
It can be confused, so and I need a mind
so like it find's really awful.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
It looks like a slide at raging waters.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Like it's put your phone down.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Okay, everyone has, we've, we've, I've, I've shared my pinky
set Oh wow, wow, wow, let's see it.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
No, you're not.
Speaker 6 (21:06):
That's not the right way to let me show you
how you want to take me the right way.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
To show your pinky. That's the way I show my pinky.
So I kick it out when I drink something. That's
how I kick it out.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Look at mine, at mine, Look at mine compared to yours.
Look at yours. Oh, show me mine, show me yours away.
Now look at that. I'm telling you, it's like the slide.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
That comes down yours is roughestening. All right. Hot Radio
Music Festival is one week from tonight. We'll be there
in Las Vegas. I can't wait to see everybody t
mobile arena looking forward to that. It's gonna be so fun.
Speaker 3 (21:39):

Speaker 3 (22:59):
And what do you do at Triple.
Speaker 9 (23:00):
Am an insurance representative? So I handle that.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Thank you for listening to us.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
We're gonna get into it, and now it's called the
match game for some free gas for the weekend. We
are gonna give you a phrase with a blank in it.
Then our panel here of Siciny, Tanya, Producing, Mikayla and
engineer Tubs will write down what they think should go
in the blank. Then we'll hear your answer and see
who you match with. Now Mikayla's filling in for Rubies,
who's in Greece. So all right, I'm feel bad for Ruby.
(23:28):
Is it a wedding or Birthday's a wedding?
Speaker 8 (23:29):
Right?
Speaker 3 (23:31):
All right?
Speaker 4 (23:31):
So whoever gets the most matches gets the free gas.
We'll start with you, contest the number one, Whitney. Think tight, Kimberly, Whitney.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Yours is.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Blank drop. Don't say it out loud, just think about
it blank drop?
Speaker 3 (23:43):
What kind of drop? Blank drop? A drop? What's the
pane we'l gonna say? What do you think? What'd you say, Whitney,
money drop, money drop? I like the wishful thinking, Okay,
csany I said, Mike drop. Mike Dropp, I said rain drop.
(24:04):
Mikayla I drop engineer in cubs? Did you say money drop?
I said rain drop. You're not supposed to match with
each other's to Okay, so now let's go to you. Kimberly.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
All right, sorry, Whitney, Kimberly, you're up. Yours is blank club?
Blank club? Kind of a club?
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Is it going to be? And panel?
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Look at me when you're ready anytime?
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Tony waiting on you? Are you ready?
Speaker 7 (24:44):
Already ready?
Speaker 3 (24:45):
But that was the look? What was that?
Speaker 7 (24:48):
That one really stumped me?
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Okay, Kimberly, what did you say?
Speaker 12 (24:52):
I'm kind of stuck on that one.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Good kids club, kids club is a great one, siciny.
Speaker 6 (25:01):
I said, nightclub, Mikayla, kids kids Club?
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Nice talk club.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Club?
Speaker 3 (25:12):
How fun?
Speaker 4 (25:13):
All right, Kimberly, you won the free gas by winning
match game. Congratulations, Thank you so much. But Whitney as

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Gonna walk away from you.
Speaker 12 (25:26):
Oh yay, thank.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
You, Thank you for listening to Kiss FM, both of us.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
On air with Ryan Seacrest On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Do you like barbecue?
Speaker 4 (25:46):
You gotta listen to this, especially if you're near Ventura.
Right now, we're gonna meet Jamie and Steve Ross. Want
to have them on because they're doing something really cool.
Just their motto alone makes me like them. Good food,
a good time for the good of the community. So
it's Steve and Jamie Ross and they started this place
called Low Fi Smoke and Grill. It's a mobile barbecue
(26:07):
catering company. Pulled Porks, bear ribs, mac of cheese, creamy slaw,
all the good stuff. Corn bread, Oh love sweet corn bread.
And they work with at risk teens, creating jobs for
them and developing skills. Doing all of this in Vnjera County.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
So let's grab them now. Sweet corn bread. That's what
I did wrong during the pandemic. Sweet you gotta put
honey in it. I didn't, and I'm just made cornbread.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
And Jane would tell you that about the corn bread,
and when you said sweet, that was like, hi you too,
nice to meet you. Rosses, Hello, So thanks for coming on.
We're fans of this style of food and I grew
up in the South, so I know all about this stuff.
So tell me about when you say good food and
a good time for the good of this city, because
(26:50):
this is something you started during the pandemic, hosting outdoor
barbecues for the community, and then it evolved into something major.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Give us a little background, you.
Speaker 14 (27:00):
Know what this is awesome. We have a partnership with
the Housing Authority to serve the least and the last
in our city. It's been outreached for us and at
the pandemic, they recognized that they wanted to still gather people,
but do it safely, and so outdoors over meals that
were safely cooked. Obviously barbecue fits good with that was
(27:21):
the first opportunity. And it's like they're thirteen plus housing developments,
you know, people call them the projects in our city.
Some for low income, some for those who are disabled veterans,
and so we're serving the people who matter really to
us the most. We've always loved serving and you know,
doing compassion work and so we married a passion for
(27:44):
barbecue with that by just saying, yeah, sure, we'll do it.
And so we did that around the city for over
a year and then it made it clear to us
that like, oh you know what, we actually loved doing
this and this is an opportunity for us to start business.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
It's so great to have leaders like you in our
communities here in southern California.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
I just love it.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
It's called Losi Barbecue. What is your favorite things? I
know you do catering. So if people want to do
some barbecue catering for a birthday party or a wedding,
I mean wedding for we'd rather have this at your
wedding than a.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Bank of chicken.
Speaker 10 (28:21):
Oh.
Speaker 9 (28:21):
We had so much fun and recently had a wedding
we did with three appetizers and one was like a
tried teir briushetto and then we did like Ustin on
a lote, which you know the Mexican corn, and we
kind of dressed that up and serve that out of appetizers.
And I'm trying to think what was our third. Oh yeah,
(28:48):
lets say it was a wedding that needed like some handtel.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yes, white dress.
Speaker 11 (28:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (28:59):
So that's advertisers. And then we set up a full
spread with brisket and pulled pork and then grilled chicken
and greens. Yeah, I mean it was. It was a
lot of fun and really delicious.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Well support these two.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
This is Jamie Steve Ross of Ventura Low five BBQ
on Instagram.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Just take a look at them and give them a
little love. Thank you for spreading the love.
Speaker 14 (29:24):
You too.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
We appreciate you coming on and continued success.
Speaker 14 (29:27):
Oh, thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
Okay, guys, take care bye. You know, thing is after barbecue,
I have to drink.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Two bottles of water. Yeah, so thirsty. After we made
a toothpick.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Yeah, we definitely a toothpick. I actually have my water
my my traveling water pick now, which is great. I
just bring that over because that's you know, it takes
the batteries. It's chargeable.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Next weekend's are I Heart Radio Music Festival This weekend
Green Days at so Far, Boys to Men at the
Hollywood Bowl and Pink is a Dodger Stadium, So lots
of music.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
Live music this weekend.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
In southern California, temperatures a little more mild, I was
saying earlier this morning, we were shouted out to all
the football teams playing and going through all the games
in the big game of the week. But temps are
gonna be in the sixties or kickoff tonight if you're
going to watch your favorite high school or your team play.
Tania as a trending report right now, Tanya, what are
we doing here?
Speaker 5 (30:17):
So Demi Moore is poking a little fun at herself
for being single, but I think the reason.
Speaker 7 (30:23):
Why is very, very relatable.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
So she said, if anybody saw my nighttime routine, if
it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I
really am. So she has this like whole setup to
make sure that all nine of her dogs fit in
her bed, which includes propping up different pillows two dog
beds in the bed. But it got me thinking about
(30:47):
nighttime routines because it evolves, like when you're newly dating somebody,
you don't do your like I did not do my
nighttime routine when I started dating Robbie, Like I spend
twenty minutes flossing my teeth because I have these permanent
retainers that have to go around. I put so many
serums on my skin I look like a glazed donut.
Speaker 7 (31:05):
Now with my mouth tape, I.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
Look just totally oh yeah, so wild when I go
to sleep. But it made me, I like the thinking
about people's nighttime routines, because just imagining Demi Moore getting
nine of her dogs in bed with her, pulling up
their dog beds and all that stuff.
Speaker 7 (31:22):
But it's just very funny.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
I'm no expert in this, but I just want to
give you a little bit of guidance in Sysney. Maybe
you can agree or disagree, uh huh, but don't go
too far with this stuff, Tanya, Like, I mean, he
fell in love with you because of like not seeing
some of these things. And I feel like if you
start taping your mouth and tying up your eyebrows or
whatever you're doing at night, Like I worry that it's
gonna be like you're too comfortable.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
Let me tell you, he's using the mouth tape too,
so it's both of us going to sleep looking.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
I just worry that sometimes people become a little uh
what's the right words, issney, too comfortable, that it becomes
that's not gonna say it's going to be less attractive.
Speaker 6 (32:00):
You're never going to be an issue if they love
you the way they're supposed to love you exactly. There's
some things you just want to keep to yourself. Yeah,
Like I don't need to see Michael clip and his toenails, like.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
You leave him on the bathroom floor, Like you know
that's he can do that on his own time.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
But I don't mind that he sees me put on
my night creams and then I have to wear my
mouth guard now at night.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
It's like you got to do? Guy is telling me
My God is just telling me to warn you on
that stuff.
Speaker 7 (32:25):
Really, so missus masel of you.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
I haven't seen it, but anyway. I interviewed the star
Rachel Brosnahan. She's great. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
So the top holiday travel destinations for twenty twenty four,
you know what they're going to be for Thanksgiving? If
you're going to go somewhere for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Is like flying somewhere, or if you're gonna like some
some people take Thanksgiving week and go somewhere and they
don't do traditional Thanksgiving. Can I have a hint?
Speaker 4 (32:50):
Well, if you gonna tell you the top Yeah, and
the number one destination for people to go it's one
of your favorite foods, is there?
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Japan? Tokyo Okyo? Yeah, one number two, Orlando for Disney
World number three, can Kun Holiday travel destinations number four Miami,
New York and London get away. I love all these
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Google flights are real the most popular searches for Thanksgiving travel?
Speaker 6 (33:16):
Yeah wow, I mean some kids get the whole week off,
and so why.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Not love it if you're gonna go.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
If you're doing of that stuff, call us and talk
us about making that decision.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
And do you do turkey?
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Like if you're in can Kun, will you get turkey?
Or do you turkey tacos or turkey fahitas or do
you just blow it off?
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Thank you? Love it off? Okay, Lisa, good morning? How
are you? Good morning?
Speaker 14 (33:37):
Good?
Speaker 11 (33:38):
How are you good?
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Good? Good?
Speaker 4 (33:39):
So you recommended a hair salon to a friend and
it didn't go well. This is and you're feeling a
little guilty.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
What happened?
Speaker 13 (33:46):
Yeah, I really did not go well. So, like my
best girlfriend she was looking for a new stylist, and
I was like, I love my stylist, so I obviously
recommended her to my friend. And basically I said, she
asked me, like what's the price, what's going on? Like
you know, what can I expect? And I was like, honestly,
I don't even know what the cost is because I
(34:09):
go so often. They just have my card on file,
and you know, and sometimes you make changes on the fly,
so the price can change a little bit. But I
was like, listen, you call my friend and get that pricing,
understand it. And so she did. She made an appointment,
and I come to find out afterwards she called me
and she was like screaming at me, saying, I can't
(34:30):
believe you would recommend this. It was so expensive. They
ruined my hair. And not only did she call and
yell at me, she made a huge scene at the salon.
So I'm like, I'm so embarrassed, ye so bad that
my friend felt it was so expensive. I just like,
I'm so, I don't even know what to do.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
That's on your friend.
Speaker 6 (34:50):
She needs to do her own research of what salon
she was going to and if it's then the prices.
Speaker 7 (34:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Yeah, I'm just trying to help out.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
I mean, trying to do a nice thing and help out.
I don't think you should feel any fault for that.
Speaker 13 (35:06):
I don't, but I'm well, you know, I feel guilty
that she like sell caught off guard. But I also
am like, how can I show my face at this
salon again? I have an appointment next week?
Speaker 1 (35:16):
And I'm like, what, don't worry about it.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
Don't worry about that. You're a loyal customer.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
You go in there and give them the loyalty you've
been given them, and then you just sort of blow
this off. But I recommend things to people all the
time that they don't like.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
I feel like I do too. Yeah, I just and
I own it.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
I'm like, really, that's strange because I loved it, right,
you must not like things that are likable.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
You know, it's a good, good thing to say to you.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
Next time, I recommend, Lisa, I wouldn't feel bad about
it and go back.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
They want your patronage? Is that's the right way of
saying it?
Speaker 4 (35:47):
They want your money patronage? Mark, what's the right was
saying patronage?
Speaker 7 (35:53):
Patronage?
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Yeah, paschroonage. Question?
Speaker 1 (36:01):
The weekend watch list just not so?
Speaker 3 (36:04):
What is on your weekend watch list?
Speaker 4 (36:06):
If you're gonna stay home in order pulled pork and
some creamy slaw about you want to watch this weekend?
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Let's start with you.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
There's a lot of good stuff out and this actually
dropped last weekend, but I'm working my way through it
because there's eleven episodes for this selling Sunset season eight.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
I love it. I love it too. I do love it.
Speaker 6 (36:27):
I do enjoy I mean the drama is like whatever
for the show, but I enjoy watching like the real
estate aspect of it, and like I know, so yeah,
that is out right now on Netflix.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
It's like watching candy on TV, you know what I mean, Like,
like you know, when you go you go to a
candy store and you look at all the rows of candies,
Like when they show this Beautiful, they make la look
so gorgeous, looks so gorgeous, you know, I mean it is,
but they make it really glimmer.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
All right, Tanya, what's on your weekend watch list? Okay?
Speaker 5 (36:56):
Tell Me Lies season two, it's on who It's officially out.
I have been so excited since the end of Tell
Me Live Season one for Sea So Good. It was
such a fantastic first season.
Speaker 7 (37:09):
So the first three episodes are out.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Is one of those shows where they drop a new
episode each week. I will give you a spoiler alert.
The first spoiler alert. Well, the first two episodes for
me are a little slow, so I'm hoping that it
picks up, but I am in it to win it
because I'm obsessed with this show.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
Okay, all right, Tanya's watched this? Now, Michael, what's on
your weekend watch list?
Speaker 3 (37:30):
So?
Speaker 10 (37:30):
I'm watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Hulu
and it's a reality show that follows eight Mormon mom
influencers after a swinging scandal that went viral on TikTok.
There's a lot of drama within the friend group. So
this is life after.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
That's so good.
Speaker 7 (37:44):
Everybody that I follow on Instagram is watching this show.
Really social media with all.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
This stuff, you guys, I need a bulletin board with
all your suggestions.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
I'm just on air with Ryan Seacret.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
I've got my best friend's wife's birthday party, key yead.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
I decided to get her olive oil. I think that's craze.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
Yeah, didn't we decide that? I was sending flowers and
then I rerouted to all of that.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
I think we need to bring something, but yeah, that's perfect.
Olio is a great gift if you get a good one.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
What's happening new the new Wicked themed experiences coming to
Universal Studios Hollywood and October showcase and props from the
film and exciting photo ops within the theme park and more.
That's kind of cool coming to Universal. And you know
UCLA is hosting Indiana tomorrow at four thirty. That's at
the Rose Bowl. Chargers are playing the Panthers and Charlotte.
That's early. It's ten am. That's right, Sunday morning. I
(38:40):
love morning football.
Speaker 14 (38:41):
I do.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
West Coast morning football is the best. And the Rams
are in Arizona Sunday at one to play the Cardinals.
Some morning clouds, sunny skies, highs in the upper seventies
and eighties, and same all weekend.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Long as you're Friday the thirteenth rolls on. Systney's going
to Lego Land.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
I am mean Tanya's going to Chicago.
Speaker 6 (39:00):
Yeah, I'm going to epicn So they made me into
a lego. Really, so there's a lego that resembles me,
and then I'm going to place it somewhere in Lego Land.
Speaker 3 (39:10):
They made you into lego. It's not a lego, it's
Lego Lego. I'm a lego, your lego. I'm Lego Lego.
There's no legos lego. I didn't say legos I know
you said a Lego, which makes me think that that's
one Lego Lego, but that is one Lego. No, it's
multiple Lego or Lego. Sure, there's multiple Lego that make
it my one Lego. No, you're a no, that's not
(39:33):
that's not it.
Speaker 7 (39:34):
Can I say I'm a Lego person?
Speaker 3 (39:36):
I don't know if you talk to Lego land.
Speaker 6 (39:39):
Anyways, I'm gonna place it right outside Sofi Stadium because
they have like a little la.
Speaker 7 (39:43):
Area in this.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
I'm gonna do nothing. I'm going to try and do nothing.
Let's see if I can accomplish that. I'm gonna try

To tell Robbie want to do nothing, but it doesn't
you know, no hard feelings. Okay, So we had a
moment of the week. It was on Tuesday. It's when
our friend Jimmy Fallon popped on with us and he
talked about me. I was somebody thought I was Jimmy
Fallon at the gym. Here's what happened, Seacrest.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
Did you get mistaken for me at a gym?
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Yeah? I have. I've been mistaken for you a couple
of times, which is which is really funny because I'm
not I'm not funny.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
You know, I'm like six inches shorter than you. But
I kind of love it.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Place You're not going to run into me in the gym.
Speaker 11 (40:59):
I'll tell you.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Someone came out to me and they go, do you
mind if I grab a photo? Had a hat on?
You know.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
I was like, it kind of looked like me, but
maybe it looked like you a little bit. And this
dude goes, hey, do you mind if we get a photo.
I'm like, hey, no problems.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
You know I don't. I never say no, no photo.
I love it. It's great.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
I said, no problem, and we're talking for a second,
and I have a little bit of believe similar energy.
I think when we're out in the wild, and I'm
talking to the guy for a second, I never missed
a show, and I'm going and I was on the
morning show at the time with Kelly, and I'm going, well,
that's so nice, thank you, And he goes, yeah, go
to sleep every night.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
I love you. You're so funny in your skits. And
I'm like, my skits, I don't, I don't my life.
I go, I'm Ryan. He goes, oh, I thought you
were Jimmy Fallon. I go, do you still want to picture?
Speaker 4 (41:50):
You didn't really want to picture? So no, a true story.
That's true story. It's only happened twice. One person I
was Jimmy Fallon and one person thought it was Nick
Lache and I went with both of it for a minute.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Might as well.
Speaker 7 (42:05):
Nicholas is so good.
