is on a serious rise thanks to a new single
called Better Place. It is raw, but it's uplifting, and
it unabashedly tackles Jonah's own serious struggles with mental health.
The lyrics are miles away from the bubblegum songs that

launched his music career, but as Joana explored who he
really is through a very personal journey he would describe it,
it became easier and more natural for him to write vulnerable.

Music, especially going back to boy band roots. It's kind
of ingrained in me to have to think, like, what
do people want to hear? What do people want to
hear from me? What would the most hooky pop version
of this song be? And it's actually become something a
little bit different than art when you're doing that. And

the more and more I've leaned in and been vulnerable
and just said the hard thing this say, I feel
like it connects more because it's just something I've actually
been through it's something I'm actually thinking about.
