Speaker 1 (00:00):
This week sis and he brought this story to our attention. Yeah,
she said, Uh, more and more parents are getting involved
in their kids dating lives and exactly on dating apps.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
But literally they're using their kids apps because the kids,
you know, they're making their own choice, they're making their
own maybe, but they're on these dating apps and so
now they're just handing their phone over to their parents,
like right, you swipe for me?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
So my hey, how are you?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Hey? How's my favorite team? Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Mom, don't miss I heard week on Wheel of Fortune?
Next week I Heart Radio comes to Wheel of Fortune.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
You're kidding? When do I Hey, when do I get
to come to Wheel of Fortune?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
When would you like to come?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Oh? I'm just teasing?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Are you wait?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
You should go? It's so fun, so fun?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
All right, well, well we'll put that. We'll put that
on his to do list.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Great's sad that he won't even notice it's there because
there's so much on it.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
We're calling you on another business. Mom, I'm sorry, no
dot worries. But she said that more and more parents
are getting involved in their kids dating lives. What they're
doing is they're getting the parent is taking over the
child's uh dating app you know, they're the ones that
are scrolling through the potential candidates for dating, and they're

(01:19):
the ones making the decision to set them up their
kids up on a date. And I thought, huh, now
if my mother were in control of a hinge or whatever, umble, well,
how would that go?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
And here we are.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
You know, I couldn't imagine, you know, how parents are
getting involved in this selection because you know, when you
were in high school, I might say to you when
I would go to the football game, Oh that girl,
that's true, it is really cute. But once you moved
to California, man oday, I wouldn't have an idea of

(01:55):
how to work with with that on that subject. And
we didn't we didn't have those apps. I mean, maybe
I could do better now.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
I think you could, like, like, let's say you're scrolling
through and what would you look for in somebody's profile
for Ryan, like any any words in particular.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Or pictures like with them with dog dogs? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Oh boy? Well, you know, I'm not an app person
or a Hinge girl or whatever, but I would think
a great sense of humor, very very honest and trustworthy.
Uh has to love food and wine this gig? Yeah,

(02:44):
food and wine, and also exercise.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
That's true, has to be active.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I'm a simple guy, I know.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
And you could easily filter through these apps with those
parameters in mind.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Family oriented.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Well, that's truly interesting that the parents even want to
be involved.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I know.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
I think there's been so many breakups that it's time that.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
They In your voice, mother, as you talk about this,
there's no denying it that you want to be involved.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Well, I always hold Meredith that song you Can't Hurry Love.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah, And so everybody here that you told Tanya, that
you told Sisity, that you've told us that for twenty
one years.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I know, but I think it still works, don't you
girls think.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Absolutely it's true you can't hurry love.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yep, you just have to wait. Well, mother, this has
been very enlightening. You know, Tanya got married. I don't
know if you've spoken her since, of course.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I know, And I mean it's been so exciting. Tanya
got married, Sis had birthday. Yeah, I mean, it is
a really special time at your radio ranch.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
All right, Well, I love you and I'll call you
later to catch up on all the things.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I love you, Connie, Love you, Connie, you miss you.
Miss you too.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Bye bye bye bye.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
She's logging in the hinge right now.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Creating your account. She's like that. Seems like I got
the green light to set up an account for her.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
