Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood. See you, thank you for listening to US
Air on Air with a Ryan Seacret. All right, Elle,
how are you?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
I'm good?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
How are you guys?
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Well, I can't speak for anybody but me, but seems
like they're fine. So let's talk about your dating life.
That's why we're here.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
I think, right, Yeah, So I wish I could say
the same for myself. I've been seeing a guy for
a few months and it's been going really well. But
something happened recently and I can't tell if it's a
red flag or not, and I just wanted to get
your opinion.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Oh, we're very good at identifying red flags for other people.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah. So we're both music people and we talk about
our favorite music and we share songs with each other.
And the other day he shared a playlist with me
that he said are the songs that make him think
of me, and I was like, oh my, that's so
cute right then, like the title and that everything is
like an insight joke between us. It's like really secret
and intimate, and so I thought it was so sweet, right,
And then I found out later that this playlist is
(01:08):
actually the same one that he made for his ex
so when he yeah, so he.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Didn't make it repeated it for you.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Yeah, it's like exactly the same songs, like in exactly
the same order too. I okay, Well, he shared the
playlist with the playlist with me, and I could see
his user name on the app, right, so I like
kind of went through his profile, you know, like this
isn't normal stuff like when you're dating, this is what
you do, right, And I was able to see all
(01:39):
this playlist and then I saw one called for Jenna,
which I know is his ex's name, so I was curious.
I just opened it and then I saw it's the
exact same thing he sent me.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
So I don't hate it.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Oh yes you do.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
No, I don't what's Robbie's his name. I don't hate
the playlist. I would hate other things.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
I hate the player, I hate the gamest. I don't
want to say hate as much as I'm saying it,
but I don't like it's a it's complete disingenuousness.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
I'm sure that you have used what's that song, Conrad
School's Firestone on not just one gal but two or three.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Used it on a goal, Like what do I do
whip out my conrade?
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Your Conrad School Firestone.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
That was like our song comes exactly.
Speaker 6 (02:43):
I'm sure like we've all done that before. I've done
used playlists.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Playlist in my phone named things I cannot figure out
how to get out, like they are so and So's,
you know, nude songs. I'm like, why are they still here?
I don't know why I'm there? And are they put
him there? Someone in my stuff in my chest of drawers. Yeah,
(03:09):
but now I still don't like it. So the question
is you don't like it either, you wouldn't be calling
That's the question is what do we do about it?
Have you called him out on this?
Speaker 7 (03:17):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
I haven't talked to him yet because I don't really
want him to know that. I kind of stalk him online,
you know, Like, Yeah, I just I feel like it's
weird that I bring it up, right, because like, I
don't know, maybe some people think it's weird. I just
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, I don't. I don't know if it's worth breaking
up over. But I think that this is a little
cringey for me. But you know, you don't want to.
It's like you don't want to know you're sneaking around
checking him out. He doesn't want you to know he's
reusing songs on you. Let's call it a day.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
I mean, I guess it's.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Even just move on from here, but it's not my
favorite move. Maybe he can add to the playlist, or
maybe he can suggest that you create an evolve one
on there. All right, Yeah, well, good luck dating. You
know how many people have to date before finding the one?
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Well? How many?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Twenty nine? But numbers here?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Gosh, can I just say, I don't keep counting.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
If he's not twenty plus, you just move on because
it's the dead end.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
That's what the she's what if he's like forty though, well,
twenty is really the average, so you could go up
and down.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, but forty somethings a whole set of problems. I
can't get into that, really, I think I have all right,
thank you? Yeah, twenty nine we learned that, and I
can't get it out of my head. Twenty nine people,
twenty nine dead ends, twenty nine lane dates until you
meet the person We are in it this morning, It's
kiss FM. Thanks for being here. Ryan Seacrest, Siciny and
Tanya so is Sistney as something interesting? A lot of people
(04:55):
talking about if you're someone who likes traditional baby names,
you might want to use some of these because I guess,
but you're not gonna be able to use them coming up.
Speaker 8 (05:02):
Now, you can still use them. They're just like, based
on data, they're kind of going extinct in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Okay, what are they? Why do they want to stay?
Speaker 8 (05:10):
So, if you're pregnant or you've had a baby in
the past, you're probably familiar with Baby Center. It's a
site that analyzes baby names and highlights the most popular
ones kind of give you range of like where they land,
meaning of names, things like that. Everyone does lists of
the most popular names all the time. Olivia Emma and
Noah Oliver, right, we get it. But this list is
(05:33):
they looked at basically the names that have fallen the
furthest in twenty twenty four, So all the names that
kind of are starting like to just not be as
popular last year. So they noticed that it was the
beginning of the end for the ad n names like Jaden, Aiden, Caden, Brayden,
Hayden that's on a decline, all that kind of vibe.
(05:55):
Royal names are also out, Catherine and Philip, Albert Edward
and then any names from like the eighties and nineties
are falling fast. Millennial names are going out of style,
like Aaron, Chelsea, Kendra, Alexis, and Taylor.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
I'm gonna name all my kids after cities.
Speaker 8 (06:14):
I love that. I know you always love the name Sienna,
I do. I know that stood out there.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Don't think too many people have taken it now?
Speaker 8 (06:21):
Too many?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, I can look at where it lands because I've
been slow to be a that a parent. Everyone's to
steal Siena.
Speaker 8 (06:29):
Well, here are the top three girl names about to
being extinct for this year. Number three Remy, which kind
of surprised me. I thought that was more of a
unique name, but it's on the outs. Number two is
Katie and number one is Jamie. You have the boys too,
I do have the boys. Three came in canon, number
two Steban, and number one on the brink of being
(06:53):
extinct for twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Is Jamal who cares like you don't care what other
people think. You need to pick the name. This most
meaningful if.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
James, and They're going to be more unique because nobody's
naming their kids these names.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
So I'm calling DIBs on you.
Speaker 9 (07:07):
Kaiak is actually kind of you like the city.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, yes, I told you George's cities towns. This what
I'm gonna do, Hedrahedra, Ryan, You're.
Speaker 8 (07:24):
Number eighty three, by the way, you thank you. I'm
just out of one hundred.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Tanya's dropped out. Huh.
Speaker 8 (07:31):
Tanya dropped out of the top one thousand and two
and twenty.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Ten, and Sistney remains the only Sistine on the planet
so far.
Speaker 8 (07:39):
Call me if you know otherwise.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I called DIBs on Jersey City, So lay off. Jersey
City coming up next? Anaheim Anna for short?
Speaker 8 (07:46):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (07:47):
No?
Speaker 8 (07:47):
Annie?
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Do you know what my name was going to be? Anna?
Speaker 1 (07:51):
We did not know that.
Speaker 10 (07:52):
I do you know that my name was Anna? I
mean fine, we call'd be it'd be Ana, Tanya. We'd
roll with it, Tanya, and we would roll with it.
The number one dream job in the country is flight attendant.
Speaker 8 (08:08):
Yeah, that seems like sexy.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
The number one worldwide is pilot, also sexy. The number
two worldwide is attorney.
Speaker 8 (08:17):
Sexy. My father is an attorney. Like long hours and nights.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Lotter, does you have to go to a special place
to read to question? I don't know. It's like Tanya
wants to chat in the evening, he's got to read briefs.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
It's actually works out really well because he spends his
whole day just like reading documents.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
So when he comes home at night he does want
to chat.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, he does. One two seven. It is Megan here
on ten Megan, good morning. How can we help you?
Speaker 11 (08:56):
Well, I could use some help though, I feel like
anyways here. So basically, my friends and I we have
a group chat, and so it's really active, like everybody
talks all day long. It's a lot of fun. It's
like a great way to keep in touch with, like,
you know, all my close besties. But you know, when
I'm at work, I'm working and I can't be looking
(09:20):
at my phone all the time. So I ended up
muting the group chat, right, kind of didn't have a
choice whatever. So a couple of weeks ago, I was
hanging out with a couple of friends from this group
chat and they were being kind of weird, and they
finally admitted that they were really annoyed with me that
I muted the group chat, and I was like, okay, well,
(09:43):
this is like a dumb First of all, it's a
dumb thing to get mad at me for but whatever.
So we get to talking some more and then I
find out that they made a new group chat without me.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
And just totally left me out.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Well to you shutting them out first.
Speaker 8 (10:02):
If you're muting their conversations and they're like, forget, we're
going to do our own chat because you don't want
to read it.
Speaker 6 (10:07):
Understand, you just mute a conversation doesn't mean you don't
want to partake in the conversations, doesn't mean you why
you're phone pinging every five seconds.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
But I take it like, hey, we'll do you a
favor and leave you out of the conversation. You'll have
to go to the trouble muting us and we start
a new group.
Speaker 8 (10:20):
Chat, tons of group chats that you're not a part of.
Who cares?
Speaker 11 (10:23):
Oh, I mean look, it's like not like I didn't
like looking at the messages.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
All, but making the thing is you. You threw the
first punch.
Speaker 8 (10:37):
By muting. You shouldn't just you shouldn't have told them
that was your miss But she didn't.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
They just saw.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
You can see it.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
You can't see if someone mutes the conversation.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
You can't. I think you can.
Speaker 8 (10:47):
No, you can't, you can you can did you know,
you can also make things disappear. All of my conversations
are muted. I love doing.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
People keep making things disappear on me, like I just
I didn't read it. Yeah, I don't have time for that,
but I get like by day did read it and
it's gone.
Speaker 7 (11:03):
No.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
The ones that like send it pixelated topic it just
text it because they want to say something a little
provocative or maybe a little risque, and they want time.
Speaker 8 (11:13):
No time for that.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Mute, mute, mute. Gosh, I think you should not take
this personally. You did make the first movie. You want
to get back in. Tell me you want to get
back in and mute them again and don't.
Speaker 11 (11:26):
Well double muting. I think I'm gonna double mute, Like
that's the right, man.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
What's that would unmute you? If you hit it twice,
then you're unmuted. Leret we go, all right, Well, good luck, Megan.
I appreciate you calling with this. I'm sure you're not
the only one that's going through it. But yeah, you
throw that punch out and that's the deal. We'lly dot
two point seven. Kiss fan, How do you get a
song out of your head if you don't want it?
There Now some you do, like a Gore Hill's Doja
(11:53):
that's in my head all the time, love it, but
this one I don't want it in my Yeah, now
that I played it might be in your head. Mommy shot, dick,
mommy shot. Kind of makes me feel ill. This song.
Speaker 8 (12:10):
Oh gosh, the amount of times we've had to play
this song on a car ride.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
I know my stomach turns.
Speaker 8 (12:16):
We're finally out of that era, right, Yeah, she wants
apute you look like, yeah she does. She wants apt
that's a big ship.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah, so let's just take that song as an example.
Some people say chew gum to get songs out of here. Really,
some say listen to something else, But the real solution
is something that's gone viral. It's called earworm eraser. Let
me give it to you.
Speaker 12 (12:45):
Oh wow, the Netflix sound gone.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Everything's gone, right, baby Shark's gone.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
People are just tunting it. They're probably very confused.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
You know, that's actually called it's a it's it's a
song called earworm Eraser. It's gone viral, but it switches
tempos like every few seconds. As you heard there styles
and music signatures, and that's what does it actually worked? Right?
I like the I like the horns though, want to.
Speaker 8 (13:31):
Go back to Yeah? I like going It's like salsa music.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
It's like, oh, today's quote. Some people will judge you
for changing, others will celebrate you for growing. Choose your
circle careful, so good, Pick your friends wisely. All right,
Wednesday morning, it's onis headline Sysney. We're rolling up on
seven o'clock. What do you Kiss FM? Headlines with sy Well.
Speaker 8 (13:53):
The La City Council declared a fiscal emergency, allowing the
city to address a one billion dollar deficit in the
twenty twenty five twenty twenty six budget, including plans to
lay off about six hundred and fourteen employees. City and
school leaders in Inglewood announced the groundbreaking of its new
two hundred and forty million dollar Inglewood High School campus yesterday,
(14:15):
which will feature state of the art facilities. The Pasadena
City Council approved an official statement denouncing federal immigration raids
in the city, and breakfast lovers got a bit of
good news yesterday with an announcement by Langers Deli that
it is dropping a fifty cent surcharge in imposed on
eggs earlier this year on.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Air with Ryan Seacrest, This Kiss FM this is Lupe.
Good morning Lupez Panic Seacrest. How are you hi, Lan,
I'm just thank you. How can we help you today?
Speaker 13 (14:55):
Oh? I was just hearing the radios like we do
every morning.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
With my husband and my family, and you mentioned you
were getting some nude nail polish to cover up the
last toe nail.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yes, thank you for listening. As a family, we appreciate that.
So I was in the gym lifting obviously very heavy
dumbells and when I was leaning over on the bench
doing these things where you pull you pull the dumbbell
from the floor sort of up to work on your back,
I dropped the dumbelt on my thumb when I let
(15:30):
it go on the bench, and it slammed my thumb
and turned it black on the underneath part. And for
the last several months, a new nail's been growing out
under it, and it's pretty much disgusting right now.
Speaker 13 (15:41):
I know we get patients like that all the time.
So I work at a podiatris office, and I was like,
I need a call Ria, because Sisney and Saria were
telling you, like you need to go get it checked out.
I was like, most definitely what happened. Sometimes the nail.
Speaker 14 (16:02):
When it's injured, it can like lightly lift up and
then the nail that leaves like entrey for fungus to
go in. I'm like, it's always best to get a
black toenail checked out from a doctor, you know, like
your general doctor. Even like they're mycologists and pedietrists, they
can all help you out.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I didn't know that you need to get it checked out.
And can you tell me why can't it just heal
the bruise? Why can't it just heal it's a bruise.
Why does that have to grow a whole new nail?
Speaker 15 (16:31):
So it's blood that's actually underneath your toenail, it's all
a fungo hematoma. It's blood underneath your tonel. But let's
say you caust the trauma to your tonel, so you're
leaving space in that tonail for fungus.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
To like go inside of it. And you know, I
know you were covering it up with a nail polish.
And it's very common for like people to get this.
But also like for all the listeners out there, if
you guys have black phonols and sometimes you guys don't
know where you get it from, it could be a
sign of a fungol infection or even in some marepases,
(17:10):
be a sign of melanoma that's like a dangerous uh
rare cancer, like skin cancer, something like that.
Speaker 15 (17:19):
Bob Marley Head.
Speaker 8 (17:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
I excited to talk to you until all of the
dreadful news because either I have a lot of bad
things that could potentially be happening under my nail because
it doesn't look it. But I did order nude nail
polish on Instacart, and I've I've never painted a nail before.
It's not easy to paint your own nails, right. I
mean when I stroke the brush, it doesn't really leave.
(17:44):
It looks transparent that.
Speaker 8 (17:46):
It's not your toenail, it's your thumb, right.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
But painting my thumb is very difficult.
Speaker 6 (17:51):
Now that I see it, it's like a teeny tiny
bit black.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
It's like barely black.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Because i've painted nude.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
I did a good job.
Speaker 8 (18:01):
When you showed me just now, I was like, it
looks fine.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Did you not understand why was ordering new naipolish?
Speaker 8 (18:05):
It wasn't just have a fun day outside you showed
us last week.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Was like, whoa because I painted over it. Because you'll
have that reaction. Wow, pressed Yeah anyway, Well, Lupe, you've
terrified me this morning. Just go get it checked out.
Speaker 13 (18:17):
No, just get it checked out. It's always best to
check it out. Even though that you nail growing out.
Sometimes the nail bed gets damaged them stuff, And on
the long run, the I see it all the time.
Pass come years after like oh I got fungus on this,
and like five years ago I dropped something on it,
you know, So it's always better just to get it
(18:38):
checked out. It doesn't hurt or anything.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
All right, Well, thank you for this PSA. We appreciate you. Lupe. Listen,
thanks for the insight. You have a good one.
Speaker 13 (18:46):
Thank you you too.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
Right hurt Sisney, Just feel it right there? Can you
touch it right there? The fungus is contagious, so be
very careful.
Speaker 8 (18:56):
My gosh, thank you so much. I feel connected to you.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
I don't think I have the fungus, so wouldn't I
know or feel it? Oh?
Speaker 8 (19:02):
I want to see it now without the nail polish. Again,
you don't I do?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
It would be a minute. This will come off in
a couple of days. So Sistany's going to share what
you heard about the latest trend in people getting married, right.
Speaker 8 (19:14):
I think traditional honeymoons are not They're not going to
go away. But it's a buddy moon that everyone is
kind of dabbling with right now, and I'm kind of
here for it. It's basically couples inviting their friends to
join them on the honeymoon. Therefore, it is a buddy moon.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I would do this.
Speaker 8 (19:34):
It's kind of one. It's I look at it kind
of like a one big, massive after party after the wedding, right.
Sometimes couples do this, They'll have a you'll go to
like a club or something after your wedding. But this
is like next level doing a trip with your friends
right after the wedding.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
So to me, I mean, the wedding is the hard part.
I don't know about that, but I would do the
buddy moon. If I dig it to the wedding, I
would do the buddy moon. I would split it as well.
I would go like half just us, and then I
want my closest, closest, closest friends to come and join.
Speaker 8 (20:03):
And that's the thing. You can do both, so it's
not one or the other. So is this something you
would consider, Tanya?
Speaker 6 (20:10):
This is something that I am considering because one of
my best friends, Paulina, was like, would you be open
to for your honeymoon all of us coming out for
the last like.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Four days and joining you? And I was like, that
could be really really fun.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
So let me let you off the hook here. Don't
include us, it's too many people. And then where do
you draw the line? Because I would love to be
honored to know that we were on the list, But
I think it should be Becka, Paulina the pop star, Sofia,
Sophia and uh started closest to and you know Robbie
(20:49):
needs a little say as well. Yes, correct, like one
of his bros. But not us from work?
Speaker 16 (20:54):
Right?
Speaker 8 (20:55):
So for you, who would it be? Ryan would be
like to Naz.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
For me Mario Lopez, no, I tee. You be people
who like I speak to every single week multiple times
for example, like me and I have to find it. Yeah,
so you guys are in the front runners. Unfortunately, if
I use that lens, you're right, I talk to you
(21:19):
more than anybody, So that's I can't do that because
I think if you start people from work on the
buddy moon, like where do you draw the line, then
all of a sudden, Ruby doesn't get to go, and
again doesn't get to right. Mark wants to go. He
and Amy want to go on this thing like you
have no idea, No, you got to keep it tight.
All right, Well, buddy moons, I like they're on the ride.
(21:42):
It's interesting we've talked over the years about the order
in which we do things, like, for example, when you
wake up, do you go brush your teeth or start
the coffee machine. I put a coffee machine in my bedroom,
so now I wake up, start the bobby machine, then
go burst.
Speaker 8 (21:57):
What's next?
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Put it right on your bed? I mean I want
it while I'm getting ready, and.
Speaker 8 (22:02):
I get see you building a shelf like in the
headboard of your bed, and then that's where that's where
the coffee machine is.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Ever my laziness can be, you know, lazier. I just
I wake up. I press the button. It's in a
little corner on a little table. I press the button.
It starts making the coffee. I go brush my teeth,
I go wash my face. I go in the shower.
Then I get out, and while I put on my
makeup and do my hair, I have a straw in
the coffee my makeup.
Speaker 8 (22:25):
So yeah, I mean I.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Put myself together changing over there, not makeup, but put
myself together. Anyway, we got into this conversation after the show,
and what order do you do things? For example, at
the end of the day, do you eat your dinner, relax,
then clean up or clean up then relax? Isn't he
clean up?
Speaker 7 (22:45):
No?
Speaker 8 (22:45):
Yes, first, And I like to clean as I go
when I'm cooking, by the way, but.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Yeah you, Oh that's good, you're clean as you go.
I eat as I go when I'm cooking that too.
Speaker 8 (22:55):
But then that way, when it's cleanup time, it's literally
just the dishes that you ate on, a few cups
and then maybe a pant.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Well, what about in the morning, so tany do you
wet your toothbrush first or put the toothpaste on dry?
Speaker 4 (23:06):
I put the toothpaste on dry, me too, I do too.
Oh what good?
Speaker 8 (23:09):
Those cute?
Speaker 1 (23:10):
And then do you put water on the toothpaste? Yes?
Speaker 8 (23:12):
I do too, although we heard it's not necessary from
that dentist.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Remember, I know, but it's so dry it What about
when you get dressed? Do you put your pants on
first or your socks on first?
Speaker 8 (23:23):
So I do two different things here when I'm dressing
my children, I put socks on first for them and
then their pants, But for me it's the other way around.
That ways they slide easier when I'm putting them on them.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
God oh, to get over their feet. That makes sense,
it's efficiency. I put my pants on first, my socks.
If I wear any yeah, later pants reverent. How about you, Tanya?
Speaker 4 (23:43):
I putting on socks first feels criminal.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Mark you must put your pants on first. After that. Laugh.
I put my socks on first. I do the same reason,
assisting the kids. The socks lubricate the pants. How are
your pants? He's wearing acid washed jeans from nineteen eighty two.
Speaker 6 (24:05):
Are your pants that they need lubri kits to make it?
Speaker 1 (24:07):
At your feet, you do not wear tight jeans. You
do not wear tapered tight. They're not that tight, but
they know what you mean. The feet bare feet are
like a like a like a speed bummle.
Speaker 8 (24:17):
Let's say, when you're dressing three kids, it's a fish
in somethings like sucks, socks, pens, and pens. Okay, let's go.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Mine are stretchy and tight. Have you ever seen a
snake swallow an egg? Yes, that's kind of like what
it's like when I put my foot through my jeans,
why are they so tight?
Speaker 4 (24:34):
Oh my, that's like such a good analogy, honestly.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Oh well there, what order do you do things?
Speaker 7 (24:44):
Then?
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Do you put your bracelets on first? Or your glasses?
Speaker 1 (24:47):
I sleep with my bracelets on.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Oh I noticed the new one to take my.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Chain off because it makes noise when I toss.
Speaker 7 (24:53):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
What else do you want to know?
Speaker 8 (24:58):
We got into this combo because of the whole Like
when you go on vacation, do you book your hotel
first or do you book your flight first?
Speaker 4 (25:06):
It was.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Book your flight.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
I booked my hotel first and then my flight.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
What did you take it?
Speaker 8 (25:13):
The right flights? Have tons of flights?
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Did you from? No, No, you're running a wrist there.
You need a book flights? You know you can get
there before we get the hotel, because what if you
can get the right.
Speaker 8 (25:23):
If you can't get the exactly because sometimes I'm getting
a specific hotel and.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
If I can't get five more rooms than you can't flight.
Speaker 8 (25:30):
Not necessarily the specific hotel you want to stay at.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
I'm I'm flexible.
Speaker 8 (25:36):
I'm not I have three children in a family book
Your flights first seems so book.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Me at a different hotel. That sounds like too much
of a circus next door to you with all that noise.
Where are we going next? As a show? Where do
we have to go next? Mark as a show?
Speaker 8 (25:51):
Well, we're gonna play someta carpenter.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
No, I mean, where can we travel? No, tral It
seems like we've been talking about Mexico City for ten
years to go there. I would love to go to Mexico. Say,
we have been talking about that. We need a sponsor.
It's Ryan Seacres with you, It's Siny, it's Tanya. Let's
give the back room a little love. If you can
picture this, So the three of us are in one
(26:13):
room with microphones. We see each other, very close to
each other, and then there's a glass window, and behind
that glass window we can see let's see what we got.
We can see Mikayla, we can see Ruby. Yes, matter
of fact, Ruby's got a microphone in front of her
in the back room. But you know, people will, people
who don't come over to the house will come up
(26:35):
to me and say, what's that back room all about?
Can you tell me what is the back room? I mean,
it's just it's it's a room that's behind the main studio,
but we can see through. It's got a glass and
it's just protected so that you can answer the phones
and we don't hear all that. Right, it's the operator room. Yes,
So in the back room we got Ruby, Jen, Mikayla Elsie,
(26:56):
newest staff member to the team. Elsie, come here for
a second.
Speaker 8 (27:00):
She's on the phone. She's literally not listening to you.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
All right, now, that's what most new staff members do.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
Well, here's the thing. If they're answering phones, they have
like the whole headset on for the phone, so they
can't hear the show when that's happening. That's happening right now.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
So I'll see. How long have you been here?
Speaker 8 (27:22):
I think I'm a month in now, right, yeah?
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Yeah, a month in? Yeah? And what is the worst
thing about working with us?
Speaker 8 (27:31):
Okay, I have to wake up early, but that's just
on my end. It's okay, though, I meant for the
five am life.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Really you like that, huh?
Speaker 3 (27:39):
I do?
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah? Yeah, you Walt After a few years.
Speaker 8 (27:43):
It's been a few.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Years really, because I remember Ellen k one of the
greatest of all time. Yes, when I started working with Ellen,
she goes because Ellen has been, you know, on the
morning show for a long time before after me. She
was on with Rick before you, exactly Rick in the Morning.
Speaker 8 (28:01):
That's right, like I went. I grew up listening to
them driving to high school, listening to them in the
birthday game and all that.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Say too. I used to listen to Rick d'z tell
me what schools were having for lunch. I remember that. Yeah,
I'd read the cafeteria menu Rick ds. Anyway, so Ellen
said to me, because you know, at that time, I
believe we were starting at five am, like the show
was live at five. Yeah, and you were up at
(28:30):
three fifteen, three forty five, four o'clock. And I said
to Ellen, this isn't great. She's, oh, no, no, no, you
get used to it. I win like in a year,
five years, ten fifteen, been here twenty years, Elsie, you
never And by the way, you're getting here late. Five's late.
Ellen wanted to me here at four thirty.
Speaker 8 (28:53):
It's different, though, I understand what Ellen's saying, because there
is some sort of you kind of get.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Used to it. I don't believe that's true.
Speaker 8 (29:00):
And maybe being a mom, you kind of feel like
because kids get up so early, like I I haven't
slept in since.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
Well, I do feel like you're either a morning person
or a night owl. Like you cannot be a morning
a night owl.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
I'm both, no chance?
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Are you both? Are you really? Because on the weekends
you're in night out?
Speaker 8 (29:17):
I wake up super early and I still go to
bed super late.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
No, not anymore.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Well, don't yell at her. You don't sleep with her.
Speaker 8 (29:26):
Gosh she would if she could.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
No, So what I'm gonna do it just marked this
when when we finished this show, whatever year it's over,
I am going to have to think about that. Well,
at some point I'm going to sleep till ten. I'm
gonna work out. Tanya. You don't sleep with me either,
So what do you.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Mean You're not going to sleep till ten?
Speaker 1 (29:51):
She's right, you're not.
Speaker 8 (29:52):
Your body clock is already conditioned. Even on the weekends,
I still wake up same.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Six thirty.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Is like I'm going to have dinner at nine pm.
It'd be one of those people a nine pm dinner.
Speaker 8 (30:04):
So European of you.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Gonna I'm gonna come in with an accent. That's not
Let's get into a lot of people are doing this.
It must not be that expensive because you can just
pay for yourself. But if you were to, you know,
get to a long weekend.
Speaker 8 (30:23):
Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
A lot of people head to the lake right up
to Big Bear for a little skiing. A lot of
people go to Palm Springs right there, or like nature
just past my wrongo and you get out to Palm Springs.
What about a quietation? M what is it quite? Why
is it so popular?
Speaker 8 (30:44):
Peaceful? Well, I think it's on the rise because everyone's
lives are so naturally loud and lots going on, and
it's a lot of like get from this place to
that place. There's phone founds and TV sounds and just
sounds all around us at all times. So that's kind
of where the popularity I think for these quiacations coming from.
(31:05):
It can be a wellness resort that maybe offers like
a noise free breakfast or a walking meditation outdoor walks
with just you and the sounds of nature, no headphones
and music in your ears. And so I we're kind
of doing this. And when I was reading this is
what got me, you know, thinking about the support. When
I was reading this article, I was like, wait a minute,
I'm technically doing this this summer with my family. We're
(31:28):
going camping and we're going off the grid, like no internet,
no phones, like once you're on in the Sequoia National Force,
like that's it.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
But you won't be quiet.
Speaker 8 (31:40):
Well we could be. Yeah, I mean it's not necessarily
being like silent silent. I think it's just more like
figure out what works for you, and it doesn't have
to be the whole time. But maybe there's a moment
where it's like, Okay, I'm going to go take a
walk by myself, and then you're that's a quiecation.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
It's getting rid of the over stimulations.
Speaker 8 (31:57):
A lot of benefits, there's a little Yeah, there's a
lot of benefits from being in silence. It can help
lower your blood pressure, it can stimulate creativity, improve your sleep, calm,
racing thoughts.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
You know, there's a movie that's the closest I've ever
gotten to a quiet case and Eat, Pray, Love. Oh okay,
she goes to a quiet camp basically, yeah, and I
think that you don't. I think you don't talk for
a week or ten days.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
See, they were onto it when they made that movie.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
But people who have done it say it's the greatest
thing ever. I feel like it would induce depression for me.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
No quiet, mhm.
Speaker 8 (32:40):
Aren't you quiet when you go home?
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yeah, but that's not long.
Speaker 8 (32:44):
No, it's not long, but it's but the case. No,
then you're not being quiet. You're turning on devices and
things like that.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I'm not talking to anybody. I'm not talking to people
who won't Lacroix they come by. But this is like
when you go, like, take your vacation time. You get
so much a year, right, right, would you take your
vacation time to just go to a quiet farm?
Speaker 4 (33:08):
No?
Speaker 8 (33:09):
Maybe, Look at my house is so loud and my
life is so loud all the time.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
You would probably like it. Like you probably like to
get in your car by yourself and just sit in
traffic because it's quiet.
Speaker 8 (33:19):
Oh, I wish my commute was longer. Yes, there's times
I just sit in my driveway. Don't go in the
house yet.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
I'm not home yet. I'm not home at Michael, I'm
just pulling inly.
Speaker 8 (33:31):
Like, what are you doing in the driveway for the
last twenty minutes?
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Just just cherish in this moment. Hi, Sandra, Hi, how
are you? I'm good. How are you doing?
Speaker 9 (33:42):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (33:43):
Just hanging in there, Okay.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
It sounds like there's something going on. I'm reading on
the call screen. It says here, you don't want to
invite your friend to your book club?
Speaker 7 (33:54):
Go on, mm hmm, Well, she's not even really my friend. Essentially,
a friend of mine had one of her friends just
move here, and she's just been inviting her to hang
out wherever we go so that she can meet new people.
And at first I didn't mind, because I think that's
a really nice thing to do, But now that I'm
getting the chance to know her, I'm realizing I really
(34:16):
do not like her. Like she's just really opinionated and
like argumentative and just downright obnoxious, if I'm being honest.
So the issue that I calling in about is that
my friend told her about the book club that I'm
part of and suggested that she come with us to
(34:36):
the book club, and now she won't leave me alone
about it, and I don't want her to come. We're
a laid back group. We just like to read fun
romance books, and I just know that she's going to
ruin the vibe. So I don't really know how to
like disinvite her or kind of communicate that I just
genuinely do not like this girl.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
The technical question, do you get credit for listening to
the book?
Speaker 8 (35:00):
Good question?
Speaker 7 (35:02):
That is a good question.
Speaker 5 (35:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (35:04):
Yeah, Oh then I could join your book club.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, because I around telling people I'm reading all these books,
but just listening to I'm an audio girl.
Speaker 16 (35:12):
I do that sometimes too.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Two paths here, Sandrad. Number one. I think life goes
on without you being in a book club. Not going
to be the end of the world. So you could
either just exodus the book club. But if she have
to leave, I'm not getting two options. Or or you
have a conversation with this person and tell them they
don't fit in. M knacked up by other members of
(35:36):
the book club, or say you say you're at your
cap only six people are allowed to the book club.
Speaker 8 (35:41):
And she said, it's so petty. I kind of like that. No, no, no,
I think you just need to suck it up. There's
a lot of bigger issues happening in our city, around
the world, Like this is not going to make or
break you. Be the bigger person. Let her in the
club and move on with it.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
I'm not sucking it up. It's my free time. I
want to be with people. I like she's out there's
a cap of six people.
Speaker 8 (36:08):
Maybe maybe she comes around on you, like she changes
your mind of how you feel about it. People have
done that to me. I used to be very judgmental
sometimes the people that I thought. I was like, oh no,
I definitely don't like that person. And then I hung
out with them in a forced situation because they were
invited to a birthday party or a weekend trip, and
I was like, wow, I really actually like you.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
So and his name was Michael Sandra. I think you
have a path there two paths. Suck it up or
cap it out. It's a book you're reading right now.
Speaker 7 (36:40):
Right now, I'm reading a Court of a Court of
thorn Roses.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yeah, and I haven't read that myself.
Speaker 8 (36:47):
No, neither have I.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
I'm reading that book by what's her name? Just let
them say yes or something?
Speaker 4 (36:53):
That book Oh Mel Robbins, let them.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah them by melro Are.
Speaker 7 (37:02):
I've been using her wake up method, the five four
three two one.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
And it works. Yeah. She's great, she's great. Just let
them bless you. Yeah, I'm reading that book.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
Let them Let's get her on.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Have you read it?
Speaker 8 (37:19):
Uh enough?
Speaker 1 (37:23):
Make the cover?
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Yeah, Like we'll listen to a lot of her podcasts.
Et cetera.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Let them. It's to let them theory. It's a life
changing tool actually that millions of people can't stop talking about.
Speaker 6 (37:36):
It's really a simple, simple, simple motto phrased in such
a fabulous way that it really packs a punch.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
If you can do it, if you can do it,
let them coming back a kiss there with Ryan Seacrest
Devins on the line, Devin and Norwalk thanks for holding
during that song, Devin, good morning.
Speaker 16 (37:59):
Hey, thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Of course. So your friend's ex is into you?
Speaker 7 (38:04):
Uh uh.
Speaker 16 (38:06):
Yeah, it's what it is. Man, It's pretty messy. Should
I start from the beginning for you?
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Just why? Yeah, give me the whole thing.
Speaker 8 (38:15):
I need this cheese man.
Speaker 16 (38:18):
All right. So my buddy, he just got dumped by
his girls. They were dated for about two years. And
what makes us really especially hard for me is he's
devastated over this, like I've been. I've been trying to
cheer him up since it happened. You know, I'll bring
him food, we'll play video games. But the entire time
I see him, he's just always super down. And the
(38:39):
other day his ex texts me and says we should
hang out sometime, and I just started texting her back
and forth. We're talking and she tells me that she
has feelings for me, and that's one of the reasons
she broke up with him.
Speaker 8 (38:54):
Yeah, so you got to pick a side.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (39:01):
So my question is I feel like I've got three options.
You know, I blow her off and I don't tell him,
I blow her off and I do tell him, or
maybe I try hanging out with her and see where
it goes. Like I know he's a good look. She's like,
(39:21):
he's he's my friend, but she's so hot.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
I okay, coming go, bros.
Speaker 8 (39:30):
Are for lying, that's not true. You gotta say you
got I think you have to see what's the best
scenario here for you. You gotta be a little selfish.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
No, you guys are bad friends.
Speaker 8 (39:44):
This being the love of his life. It's not. And
he's not really good friends with this guy.
Speaker 4 (39:48):
He said, he's good friends with this guy.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
Devin's brothers. Yes, bros for others, Yes, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (39:57):
But it's tough out there, Devin, And if you have
a connection with her, then.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Maybe it is the watch come and go.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
They do you too.
Speaker 8 (40:05):
She literally told him that she broke up with this
guy because she has feelings for him, So that is
the truth. She's being honest with her feelings.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
This is a bad idea.
Speaker 8 (40:15):
Do you want to.
Speaker 6 (40:15):
Date someone that's gonna date someone for two years and
then break up with them because they have feelings for
his friend?
Speaker 4 (40:20):
New thank you?
Speaker 6 (40:22):
So that tells me that this girl is a one
minute girl and she's a two year girl.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
I'm not saying, don't hold up with her. Now's that messy.
Speaker 8 (40:35):
Okay, let's rewind. Let's say he does nothing. Does he
still tell the friend though.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Yes, that's the next question.
Speaker 8 (40:41):
I don't know that I agree with you guys what
you're wrong, because if you're not gonna do anything, Devin,
then just don't say anything and then just drop this girl.
Speaker 6 (40:49):
Tell the friend because what if he's sitting there being like,
maybe one day we'll get back together.
Speaker 8 (40:52):
Exactly, No, But then he's gonna he's gonna resent you.
He's gonna be and he's gonna always have in the
back of his head that she dumped him because she
wanted you. You guys are never gonna be able to.
Speaker 6 (41:04):
Eat friends the way you want to be friends, or
he's going to say, wow, this guy really has my
back and I want him to be my best man.
Speaker 8 (41:09):
I think he's gonna think that reasonably. Men usually don't.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Devin, I think you do not go out with her.
I think you do tell your friend and remain friends,
but I don't think you're gonna listen to us. Yeah,
what ends up happening?
Speaker 16 (41:24):
Okay, Yes, I mean I hear what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
I know you hear it. I want to do it.
She's really hot. I got it, I understand.
Speaker 8 (41:33):
I just want you to understand, Devin, when you hook
up with her, just know that your friendship is over
with this other guy.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Oh you can hook up, they can still have the dater.
Speaker 16 (41:46):
What friends forgive? Is all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
Oh my god, friends for dibbs.
Speaker 8 (41:52):
Friends forgive, I mean they kind of do really good ones.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
I guess Devin call us back and let us know.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
I would not forget.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
Definitely going out with one.
Speaker 8 (42:02):
Hundred percent, which I can't say, but I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
We are in it this morning AT's kiss event. Thanks
for being here. Ryan Seacrest, Siciny and Tanya so is
sistany as something interesting? A lot of people talking about
you're someone who likes traditional baby names you might want
to use some of these because I guess what, you're
not gonna be able to use them coming up.
Speaker 8 (42:20):
Now you can still use them. They're just like, based
on data, they're kind of going extinct in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
Okay, what are they? Why are they going to stay?
Speaker 8 (42:28):
So, if you're pregnant or you've had a baby in
the past, you're probably familiar with Baby Center. It's a
site that analyzes baby names and highlights the most popular ones,
kind of give you range of like where they land,
meaning of names, things like that. Everyone does lists of
the most popular names all the time. Olivia Emma and
Noah Oliver, right, we get it. But this list is
(42:51):
they looked at basically the names that have fallen the
furthest in twenty twenty four, so all the names that
kind of are starting like to just not be as
popular last year. So they noticed that it was the
beginning of the end for the ad n names like Jaden, Aiden, Caden, Brayden,
Hayden that's on a decline, all that kind of vibe.
(43:13):
Royal names are also out, Catherine and Philip, Albert Edward,
and then any names from like the eighties and nineties
are falling fast. Millennial names are going out of style,
like Aaron, Chelsea, Kendra, Alexis, and Taylor.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
I'm gonna name all my kids after cities.
Speaker 8 (43:32):
I love that. I know you always love the name Siena.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
I do.
Speaker 8 (43:36):
I know that stood out there.
