Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you, thank you for listening to us.
Ryan on Air with a Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Where it's everybody Mark, They're supposed to be going vacation,
Tanya coming back.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Any second, you'll burst of the room.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Everybody's here, and then all of a sudden, Shakira is
finished and I'm just looking at Mark in the back room.
Well all right, hi, so listen, he's off on vacation
this morning. Tanya's using the bathroom. Actually, it's funny. You know,
the word great is overused in several different contexts.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Oh, hi, Tanya, welcome back.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
How do you use the restroom?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
We heard it's it's that's the word.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
But you know what's funny is that when I, uh
say to Mark, our producer, Hey, just kind of like
just letting him know I'm not leaving the building during
a song or something. I'm like, Hey, gonna go use
the restroom. He goes, great, Wow, are you excited?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Great? Meaning great? Thanks for letting me know. We're great.
I'm happy that your your system is working or racially
like what great?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Great because then we can all go to the restroom.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
For sure, but also it's great timing, like you know,
you've looked ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
You've seen that you have a longer song, and you
have an opportunity, that great, great choice of a time
to go to the bathroom. Yeah, I don't make the proposal.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I don't make the acknowledgment unless I've mapped it out
like I usually do the math to make sure it's
going to be the right time. But I really was
walking down the hallway last time I went to the
bathroom after him saying great, thinking, Wow, he's cheering me
on at this set, and I'll say, oh, I don't know,
if you have enough time, you should take this.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Call you that sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
All right, an Tony, why did you choose just now?
Because it seems like that would have been something on
your checklist now, you.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Know, sometimes sometimes you just gotta go.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Get around to it.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, here we go, Sistney out on our camping trip
for summer vacation. We got sunshine today. He's in the
seventies and by beautiful sunshine, loving that kind of like yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
We also have this cash to give away.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
At six fifty five, we'll talk about the best thing
to drink during a heat wave for hydration. It's at
the top of the I'll tell you why about that now?
Also a second date update. Their dogs hit it off,
and they hit it off, so that's kind of great,
like when you're a dog can be an excellent icebreaker.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, for sure, And that's so cute.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I think that someone who loves their dog can love
in a good way, like their heart is something special
to me if you love your dog in a certain way.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
But and you're if your dogs get along like that's so.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
What if they don't? Is that a problem too? Yes,
we'll talk about it. But basically, so, here's what happened.
So she offered him her number in this second date update,
we're gonna get to after seven, and when he called it,
it didn't work, as in, it was like a made
up number and she gave a fake number. So he
must to find out what happened why and if it's
there's still a chance.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
I was driving in the car yesterday with one of
my best friends and this guy rolled down the window
and was like, hey, are you guys sisters? And we
were like no, and he was like, basically like, the
light's about to turn, I gotta get to Can I
get your number? And my girlfriend didn't give him her number?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Well, I wouldn't either. Who is the person I know?

Speaker 3 (03:09):
She was like, I mean, it was just like a
little too much. The color was the person's car, uh,
not a calm. It wasn't like black. It was like
some sort of like blueis or like a light blue
or something.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Think my memory serve me correctly.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
But didn't you meet mister Wilsher by giving out your
number two? A guy that rolled up next to you
on wilshe Of Boulevard, Ye put his window down your number.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yes, I would have totally given my number. But it
wasn't me he was flirting with it. It was my girlfriend
and I was trying to tell her, like a come on.
And then we went through the light and then again
he was next to us, and I was like, let's
get your number. Let me get your number, and then
the woman behind us honked, and then my girlfriend drove
off and now we'll never know.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Well, we just want to thank that woman right now,
whoever honked, We appreciate you because you you put close
to this. I would for a lot of things I
would never do here. One even make eye contact, like
look over. If I look over and they look at me,
I quickly look back to the steering wheel because I
get like nervous. I would never put down my window
and start talking to somebody like that and ask them
for their number.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
It's just so forward.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
It's too forward, and you're too unknown to the other person.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
But we're all strangers when we meet.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, but it just didn't seem like the right place
and the pressure of the light changing. And also when
you met mister Wilscher, did that go well for a while?
The guy you met on the street for like.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
A week and then he was like dating so many
people at the same time.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Were up to the tell me Something Good segment each
morning we do about this time. It's like you want
to put the right sort of energy into your thinking
to start the day off. And I'm be in a
tough place or that place or negative. So here's some positron,
some positivity. Tell me anything good time, it's happened to
you recently, just good news.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
So we have been doing a lot of picnics in
the park. The weather's been really nice, and we've been
taking our little pup to the park and picking up
like salads and just eating and being outside more this summer,
which I really love.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
It's fun. I like it ruby tell me something good.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
So I went on my evening walk last night in
Highland Park off Figarola, and this woman was just making
these flowers out of palm trees that she collects, like
the leaves from the palm trees, and she was just
whipping them up. And she was at the bus stop
and she turns around and she's like, here, take this,
it's for you, like you could have it, and she
just made me three on the spot and they were
so pretty and unique, and I just was like, it's

(05:41):
so nice, like for someone to just do such a
kind gesture.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
It like really made my evening.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I agree with you, it's a lovely thing to do.
Did you think at any point there's a catch like
I did.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
I was like, oh, I don't have any cash on me,
but no, she just was like so happy to like
just share her little like her not little, but to
share her flowers and her creed.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
But put you in a great state of mind and feeling.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Totally even this morning. I was like, that was so nice,
Like it just was such a kind thing to do.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Agreed, tell me something good.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I will tell you something good that we all know
about here, which is just a wonderful story.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Here.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
We have a gentleman that works with us for I
mean he's worked with us for two decades, Dennis Clark,
who works behind the scenes at different Ieart radio stations,
and we meet with him regularly to talk about different
stuff for the show. Anyway, Dennis Clark, whom we look
he produced, He was in Mark's role. He was the
executive producer of this show for years and he's been
a good friend for over two decades. We found out

(06:35):
Monday that after eight weeks of radiation, he told us
in his message he is cancer free. So Dennis Clark,
we wouldn't be here without you, and he said the
cancer cells are eliminated, and that just was the greatest news.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Everybody is touched by.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Cancer, affected by cancer, if not for themselves, by a
family member. And he actually said in his text lots
to celebrate, and I thought that was such a wonderful
thing to hear. Yeah, that he's celebrating that, But you know,
there are things in life that we should be celebrating.
Maybe we don't, so think about those things and celebrate them.
And that is started tell me something good, I mean, lovey,

(07:14):
Dennis Clark, not let city.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
I think he's gonna come by next.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Week to say hi, so we'll give him a an
in person hug. Sicany out on vacation. Tanya is here.
You know, I'm so used to saying Ryan Sistey and Tanya.
I was about to say Ryan Sisney before I said Antanya.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
I remember she's on king to keep you on your
toes as well.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I got but I got it, I got it. You
did hear my thought?

Speaker 2 (07:34):
My thought was oh no, yep, I corrected myself in
my head before I said it.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
It was one of those moments. Got it out on air, right,
but my head was almost going to go wrong.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Professional She's uh, she's camping with the family and Tanya
is filling in for her on.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Her news and weather and things like that.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Tanya was telling us about her morning routine, which evolves.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
It does change up quite a bit, seemingly, doesn't it.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yes, you know, I am a person that's constantly trying
to grow, change evolve, and I always have like a
new hyperfixation, like especially when it comes to food, and
I mean food that.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Is supposed to be doing something for you to benefit you,
or just any.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Food, any food. But yeah, sometimes it's like, oh, this
is the new super food. I'm gonna try eating this
right now. Like I get pomegranate is good for fertility,
so I'm going to start eating like more pomegranate. But
my newest obsession, and I don't think I've actually ever
had one of these in my entire life. I have
had scrambled eggs. I usually bring in my my hard

(08:35):
boiled eggs into work. I've had eggs sunnyside up. But
now my new hyperfixation is a fried egg.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
A fried egg like in the pan with running running.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Eggs, a little running on the inside, like just a
little run on the inside.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Into toast or anything, or is just run on the plate,
just runs on the plate. Why you obsessed by this
and why is this such a new discovery for you.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
I don't think I've ever had a fried egg in
my life, and so I feel like.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yes, my gosh, a shock from the back room, Kayla,
I can't believe it.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
They're so good. Like I wake up every day so
excited for my fried eggs. I put a little pepper
and a little bit of salt on them. That's all
you need. I eat three of them, and I'm like
so happy the way.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
It's so.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I love your passion for things because you told us
that as if no one's ever had an egg before
in their lives, like you discovered some sort of.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
New food group I feel no one's ever heard of.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Feel like I've cracked the code on like my new
egg situation. And I just want to tell the world
that fried eggs are really just like making my days better.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Okay, Well, the world knows, and we appreciate the breaking news.
We like it that you have found something new for you.
The fact you've never had a fried egg like I've
had a fried egg on pizza. I've had a fried
egg on salad. I have had cause I like them runny.
My dad used to make frieda eggs all the time
we're growing up, and they're very good.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
I've had one on a burger.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
You should try that, anybody.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Gosh, yeah, life change. Where have you been? Have you
met a chicken before? Have you seen have you seen
a chicken laying egg?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
So I love it because on the burger that that
the yoke that's runny. This just goes down into the
all the stuff on the burger. It is messy and delicious.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
But Mark, Mark, this show.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
This is the date that Tany introduced us to eggs,
and let's see how long this trend lasts for her
liking the Friday.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
And like over the weekend, Robbie will be like, I'm
gonna make onion egg. It's like a different egg that
he makes, and I'm like, no, I want my Frida eggs.
He's like, Babe, we can't have the same thing every
single morning. And I'm like, yes, we can.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
To the back room, please, no one tell her about
omelets her birthday.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
That's Friday.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Your birthday's coming up, Yes it is.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Say that, well, omelet, I'll tell you about omelets on Friday.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
So what do you drink when it's really hot?

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Just go I'm thinking about hydration specifically, Like I love
to drin kombucha all the time. I love it in
the summer. I love it cold, I love it after
a workout. It's refreshing to me, it tastes good. So
that's something that's a real good go to in the
summer anytime of year. But to stay hydrated. I was
reading about what doctors are talking about, and I think
that this stuff changes over time. Yea, Like one day

(11:27):
you read something's good then the next day is they
you read.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
It's not like red wine. It's like is it good
or bad? I feel every day there's a new report.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Honestly, I'm gonna tell you. For me, it's good.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yeah, Okay, I don't know what the science says, but
for me, yeah, it's good.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yeah, I like it.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
So A doctor in the UK is trending now after
telling people the best thing to drink in a heat.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Wave is milk milk.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
It does not come to my mind that when I'm
hot for hydration to drink milk.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
I was gonna guess watermelon juice.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
I like watermelon juice. Eighty seven percent of milk. The
makeup is water, but takes longer to digest, so it
keeps you hydrated longer than water does. Water goes quickly
through you, this lasts longer. It's also got sodium to
help your body hold onto the water. So if you
can't drink regular milk, this second one they say is
soy milk. My parents drink soy milk. Did do you

(12:20):
drink regular milk anymore?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
I do not drink regular milk anymore.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
It doesn't for Tanya and I have the same system
where we can't process certain things like that, like legging
milk is a problem from my system.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
I mean, it can happen, but you don't want to
be near me.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Afterwards, just like you, Tanya, Yeah, exactly, just like me.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Today's quote, even the smallest belief spoken often becomes truth
manifest smallest belief truth tes Stay July fifteenth, partly sunny.
I was in the EP seventies and low nineties Inland.
Today's National Gummy Worm Day.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I'm not into gummy worms. Not my thing.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Also National Orange Chicken Day that I could do in
National Tapiocre Pudding Day. The MLB All Star Game tonight
on Fox from Atlanta. Dodgers have three starters in that
if you want to check it out later, and five
bucks in summer cash on it deck.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Didn't she that loved gummy worms?

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Seasy's on vacation. Tanya is here asking questions. Yes, And
she kept a drawer she kept to the bedside drawer.
Inside the drawer she had gummy gummy bears and gummy
worms like at.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Her Saturday gummy worms, I sour gummies.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, so you knew that.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
So you asked the question, but you knew the answer. Why,
Like why Why Why did you even do that? Why
did you even want to bring up a past relationship
knowing the answer.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Because that's all I think about now. Whenever I see
a sour gummy worm or I hear the word sour
gummy worm, I think about that.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Yeah, well that's sense.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
I'm sure she appreciates that, and we we should actually
want one day take a picture of what's in our
bedside drawers if we can, right, just like what's in yours.
I don't keep foods or snacks in mine, just like
throwing away same. It's like just stuff that randomly ends
up stacking up inside of it before we get to
our second date. Up to later this hour, Tanya's at
Trending Report. Very surprising that Justin Bieber dropped it out

(14:12):
manas Yes.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
So the album Swag. It came out on Friday. It
was a big surprise. I listened to it all weekend
and I am obsessed. It is so so good. But
one of the songs getting a lot of attention is
walking Away because the lyrics are very telling. So I'm
gonna play a little bit for you now, let's go
baby Gayday.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
Hey, it's just un He's going face.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Baby, I have chills listening to it. The lyrics are great,
go ahead and do your thing on then let's talk
about it.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Okay, So the lyrics obviously exactly what you just heard.
But I feel like there's been a lot of rumors
out there about Justin Bieber and Haley Bieber's relationship and
they're on the rocks and the turmoil and blah blah blah,
And here it is, point blank from his own mouth, Baby,
I ain't walking away. I made you a promise, I
gave you a ring, I told you I would change.

(15:25):
It's part of growing pains. But he's not walking away.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Just hearing that.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
So I don't know, like in any relationship, if you
if they feel like you're gonna walk away, or you
feel like you need to walk away, or you want
to walk away because you're going through something, it's just
best to start the whole conversation with Look, Babe, I'm
not going anywhere.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
We're not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
However, this is situation, is a challenge, is a growing pains,
so I'm gonna deal with But there's no end to
this story. Like the bottom line is, we're together, We're
staying together. I'm not going anywhere. You're not going anywhere. Now,
how do we grow together?

Speaker 3 (15:57):
And that's it?

Speaker 1 (15:57):
And I think that's a good way to talk about it.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Perfect advice you've ever given, because I think people who
are insecurely attached. Anytime you get into a fight, somebody
who's insecurely attached thinks that you're breaking up with them.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
You in the case fight you need to you almost
want to say, look, we're not breaking up, right, it's
not happening.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
But can we argue about this for a second, right?
I mean you just you're right.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
You want to know that that security blanket is there?

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:20):
And do you think I don't know that maybe this
is reported, but did he rush this album to surprise
us because he wanted that story out now because of
a lot of these headlines.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Do you think I have not seen any reports about
him rushing the album or anything like that, But I
definitely think he was just like wanting to kind of
get some of the safe stuff out there. And then
I want to give an honorable mention to the song
go Baby, because when I heard this one lyric that
I'm going to play for you, I literally squealed like
a dinosaur like it I freaked out.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Okay, first song, then you squeal, there's my baby, She's
I Connie my phone case. They have got.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
It.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Dude, why did that strike you?

Speaker 2 (17:07):
So you said dinosaurs squealing in a dinosaurs squealing way.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Because like she's iconic iPhone case lip gloss on it.
You know that the iPhone case that Haley Bieber, it
just makes better.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I'm sure I've seen it.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah, it has like her road lip gloss on it,
and it's the iPhone case everybody wants. Everybody. It was
just like so iconic, and I just feel like it
was I don't know the fact that he put that
lyric in there. It was just so good, just like
praising his queen.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
You know, we have been around for a few of
these Justin Bieber released dates, times albums.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Love it every time.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Huge fan, A really big fan of Justin Bieber for
many years, since first time we met him when he
was like fourteen years old when he came in here.
So congratulations JB. Love getting new music. Still love the
classic dialog of Justin Bieber's songs. But a lot of
people are wondering, dude, dinosaurs actually squeal, so I'm not
spelling squeal correctly. I typed it into my chat GPT, but.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I knew what I was talking about.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I did you spell it to to ease.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I didn't get near near it because I was talking
and typing, but I did get squ anyway. Dinosaurs likely
no one would know. Chat GPT wasn't around to even know.
But dinosaurs likely did not squeal or squeal. Maybe that's
what I typed in the way mammals or modern day
pigs might, But they did. These dinosaurs make sounds, though

(18:27):
not necessarily how we imagine from movies like Jurassic Park.
Most didn't roar. Some have used body parts to amplify
or produce sound.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
It's so funny. Dinosaurs are on top of mind because
I saw Jurassic Park this weekend, so I feel like
that's what why I said the squeal.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
There's Tanya once again, justin Bieber now for a second
date update. Gonna jump right into this the net net here,
and what we're trying to get at is peace of mind.
When you go out with somebody and you get blown off,
why what happened? And you want to know you can
reach out like Chris did in Claremont, and Chris basically

(19:08):
has said here, he's confused, right, he says, Hey, guys,
I'm confused. A gorgeous woman offered me a dog poop
bag when I ran out. Our dogs hit it off.
We started talking and she offered me her number. I
called her the next day and it was a fake number,
but she offered it to me. So what happened? Let
me grab Chris to get more. All right, Hey, Chris,
thanks for coming on. I understand your confusion here.

Speaker 7 (19:31):
Yeah, yeah, thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah right, So one thing to think about is did
she not really? Was she not so in do you
per se? But more just the fact that your dogs
got along.

Speaker 7 (19:44):
Now, she was definitely into me, like she was super flirty,
like uh, a lot of eye contact, you know, laughing,
touching the arm kind of thing, and yeah, no ring too.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
So hey, I love that he knows like I would
not know somebody's in me for a long time. Like
you know, if you know that so fast as it stands out.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
You don't catch a vibe.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Uh Uh. I almost have to be like I prefer
you just say at some point, hey, I like you.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
That's so cute, is it?

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:14):
I find to be not so cute if you're living it.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
I'm surprised you can't catch on vibe.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
I'm not not.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
I don't catch them clearly necessarily always or like that
confidently that quickly for sure? What like Chris did, I'm
a notorious vibe misser right, Like I can't catch the ball,
I can't catch.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
The vibe sometimes.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Don't know, Chris, the phone number she gave out?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Do you think she intentially give you a fake number?
Or does she maybe make a mistake?

Speaker 6 (20:44):
I mean.

Speaker 7 (20:46):
It's her own number. I mean don't most people know
their own number, right?

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Yes, most people know their phone numbers.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, all right, Chris. What was so amazing about her?
What stood out?

Speaker 6 (21:01):
Like?

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Why was she different for you? M she.

Speaker 7 (21:08):
It's been a while since I've felt like somebody's sense
of humor mind have actually like meshed, if that makes sense.
Like there was a lot of back and forth. There
was a lot of like building on jokes there. It
seemed like she was into you know, she was throwing
in references to some old TV shows and movies that

(21:30):
I was picking up on, you know, like little a
lot of little things. And she just seems so comfortable
in her own skin. I don't know, there was a
confidence to her. It was really really cool.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
All right, So we're gonna get her on the phone.
I believe she's agreed to come on. Let's find out
what's up, Like why the fake number? Why, you know,
not wanting to connect again? As where we gather mornings here.
I appreciate that Ryan Seacrest Isney on vacation, Tanya is here.
Got Chris on the line for a second date.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Update.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Now this is the moment of impact. We actually figured
it out. So Chris got a phone number from her.
Their dogs hit it off. They shared a poop bag
or something.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
They didn't share it. Just trying to keep you up,
all right.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
So there was a barring of a poop bag. Great moment.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
The dogs hit it off. Another good moment. He said
that there was a vibe he could tell right away.
He said she was gorgeous. He asked for the number.
The number she gave him was a fake number, he thinks,
But we don't think it was, because we figured out
the numbers one digit off. Actually, vibes don't lie. We
have her here, but maybe you misread vibes. Some people
misread vibes. So let me just bring up Chris for

(22:43):
a second.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
On the line.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Chris gonna listen in on this. So what happened? Their
dogs hit it off? She intentionally gave this number wrong
or she made a mistake. Does she want to hang
out with him again? Chris is down and he thought
there was a vibe, So Chris, be quiet. I can
hear you breathing, so breathing now. And I have Liz,
that's her name, Liz on the phone, who's agreed to
come on the air with us. Okay, she does not
know you're listening.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Okay, Hey Liz, Ryan Seacrest and Tany here Kiss FM.
You were on the air with us.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Good morning. How are you doing, Liz?

Speaker 6 (23:12):
Hi, good morning, I'm good good.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Well, it's great to have you with us.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
So, jumping right into this random call out of the blue,
we want to talk to you about a guy named
Chris that we learned about.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Do you remember a date with Chris or a meeting
with Chris?

Speaker 6 (23:29):
I don't think I know anyone by that name.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Actually, uh okay, So were you recently.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Out with your dog and you met somebody need a
dog poopy bag?

Speaker 6 (23:44):
Oh yeah, okay, yes I do I remember him. He
was hot and his dog was so cute, Nacho, it
was his name, so cute.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
What was hot about him?

Speaker 6 (24:00):
I don't know. He just is very attractive and he
was very kind and I don't know I remember him though.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Okay, that sounds good.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
And then what happened after you meet the poop bag?
Thing goes down? You think he's hot? What happened next?

Speaker 6 (24:16):
Honestly, that's it. I gave him my number. I never
heard from him. Why are you calling about him? Though?

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Well, I've learned of this story and it will make
sense in a second. But first, you did want him
to call you, right, You liked him enough to give
me your number to reach out to you to go out.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
Yeah, that's why you give people your number, of course.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Got it?

Speaker 2 (24:33):
And why do you think you've not heard from this
hot Chris?

Speaker 6 (24:38):
I don't know. I've been you know. I thought he
would call, so I was surprised he didn't.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Good news, great news, good news. He called us. He's
on the phone and he's tried to reach out to you.
But you gave him a wrong number. You must have
made a mistake with a digit in your phone number. Yeah,
Chris is on the phone.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
Chris, Hey, Oh my gosh, Hi Oh my, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 6 (25:08):
I must have messed up my number. I actually just
changed numbers. I moved here from Kansas City like two
years ago and finally switched to a six two six number. So,
oh my god, that's so embarrassing. I don't know it
as well as I.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Thought I did, because I'd be feeling very good about
this call, knowing that he's hot and she was into
it and she's waiting for the call.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
I mean, it doesn't get any better than that if
you're listening in on it.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
So, just so you know, Liz, Chris told us that
I thought you were gorgeous and really.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Wanted to go out. Rachel.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Here we are, Uh NATCHO wants to know? Also, Chris,
I'm sure what's the next move? So what is the
next move?

Speaker 6 (25:51):
I'm glad you called.

Speaker 7 (25:53):
No, I'm glad you picked up. I'm glad. I'm glad
that it wasn't a fake number. Oh my gosh. No,
if you're around weekend, I mean I would love to.
I would love to. Maybe our dogs could get together
or something.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
Oh my god, I would love that, honestly. I would.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Let's not play the dog card here with you, Yes, Chris,
don't get this on the dogs. We're at that point.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
I would like to go out with you.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
I would love that. Honestly, I feel like a problem.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yes, yes, this could not have gone better.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Chris, Liz. At this point we get out of your
lives and you take it from here. I have a
wonderful time. I'm going to tell you now I pretty
good things. Your laughter is compatible.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
Thank you so much. This is crazy, this.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Is giddy school girls.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Everybody wants and this is why we do second ate
update right there, Chris and Liz.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Thank you, Chris and Liz. What's your dog's name?

Speaker 6 (26:56):
My dog is Susie.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Wait till not very sweet and that is very cheesy.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
All right, So thank you Chris. Yea dad jokes all day. Uh,
that's it. That is why we do a second date
update here one of two point seven Kiss FM. Love
it the laughter, Ray, I mean they feel right for
each other.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Yeah, they're gonna go out this weekend. They're going to
hit it off and they're going to go out again.
It's not gonna be a summer fling. It's going to
go until.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Details what they're gonna do, where they're gonna go and
what happens we should follow up.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
You said, all right, well almost eight, so he's going
fast for me. It was eight o'clock here.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
I love that you do, yeah, because you know why
time flies when you're having fought.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
I do have fun doing this. So let me give
you a quick update. Sysney's out. Tany's about to get
the headlines for you, and then after that we'll be
back with some more Kiss music. Back to back ruviies.
Got details on a new law. Something you cannot do
anymore while you're driving. First, Tanya with the headlines.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Kiss FM headlines with Tanya Red.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Well, the White House is launching a new effort to
keep immigrants who entered the US illegally detained by denying
them bond hearings. The Mayan Theater on Hill Street downtown
announced plans to shut down. The theater, originally opened in
nineteen twenty seven. Avello Airlines announced that it is leaving
Hollywood Burbank Airport and will cease its southern California operations

(28:22):
by the end of the year. And Corona High School
cemented its place into baseball history as the first high
school ever to have three players selected among the top
fifty picks in the MLB draft.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Seacrest assistant on vacation. Tanya is here, Ruby and the
gang in the back room. And before we get into
five hundred dollars in summer cash, you know, we were
talking about that new law that bars they have to
carry lids for you alcoholic drinks, and if you ask
for a lid, they've got to provide you a lid,
so no one can mess with your drink, put anything
in it if you're walking on our set it down,

(28:57):
which is great and it's good, but it's also a
shame we have to have a law like that. Now,
this is something about driving. Ruby's got some details, but
there's a new law that will not allow you to
do saying while you're driving. So what's the story, Ruby, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
So California recently implemented a strict no touch phone law.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
So yes, I know, you can't touch it.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Can't touch this.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
So if an officer spots you looking at your phone
or touching it while behind the wheel, it can result
in hundreds of dollars in fines. And it's a little
bit different from the no texting while driving. Obviously that's
been a thing for a big no no for a while,
but even if you're simply holding your phone behind the wheel,
regardless of whether it's for you know, navigation purposes or

(29:39):
you're changing the music, you can be stopped and receive
a ticket just because you're like looking through the nave
or you know, trying to change the song.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
Doesn't matter, It does not matter.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
So yeah, they said they will make an exception if
you have your phone mounted on your dash and you
give it a quick tap, but no scrolling and absolutely
no typing.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
So the mounting is interesting because it is convenient, it's easy.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
It's it's easy to convenient to look at. But what
if what if you.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Are looking away at your phone mounted or down in
the center divided there, like looking away looking down at it,
that's just equally as potentially bad too. Yes, but that's legal.
You're allowed to stare at it not looking straight ahead.

Speaker 8 (30:22):
I'm technically if they see you, I've just seen if
the cop sees you looking down at as like looking down,
not touching it, but looking down at it, not looking
straight ahead, it feels like that should be equally as.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
This is right, because it's equally as distracting for sure.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
You know what, so how do you navigate? I mean
it's a trick right to look at the navigation because
I use ways. Yeah, it's always changing. It's never the
same way sometimes, I mean changes my roots all the time.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
But ways can talk to you. They can like tell
you you don't have to look.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Yeah, it's it does talk to me too, But I
still like to see. Sometimes I actually think that I'm
I put in the address and then I'm like, this
doesn't feel right.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Yeah, I do that too to.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Make sure the destination the checker flag is still where
I want to go.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Yeah, and it is.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
But I have also put in the wrong thing and
on the opposite direction and realized later than I'm going
the wrong way.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
That can happen.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Oh that's the worst.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
So what are the tickets for this violation?

Speaker 4 (31:19):
So a distracted driving ticket in California can cost between
one hundred and seventy dollars and three hundred dollars for
a first offense, with higher fines for repeat violations.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
So definitely be careful.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Wow, all right, it's good to remind people of that too.
And if you see somebody doing it, like a friend
of yours, just go hey, head's up.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
That's now.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
I'm down with this new law. Because I can I
find myself getting I can totally be distracted by my phone,
and I just the more the more I have to
not the better.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I have had friends having like lunch of dinner with
me over the summer here and they'll have their phone
that we have their phones if it I'm right by
the silverware on the table, and I actually, without asking,
pick up their phone and put it on the table,
like move it. I actually don't say, hey, could you
mean I just take their phone and put it somewhere else,
like on a chair, another seat, or somewhere's your seat, Yeah,

(32:09):
like another seat at the table, or a piece of
furniture behind the table. Like I it's not cool to
have your phone that close to you where you're trying
to connect with people, like on your silverware.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Yeah, but I think it's like just such like a crutch.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
We all just do it.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Your phone, just put it on the table.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Highly annoyed, highly annoyed by it.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Yeah, tonight, La Sparks versus Washington Mystics, Crypto dot Com
Arena seven pm.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Ruby's just sort of.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Going through the detail now of a new law where
you're not allowed to even be holding your phone at
the steering wheel or holding your phone while you're driving.
But if you are holding it, you can be pulled
over and ticketed if you have your phone in the
little the thingy the thing, what's the thing he called?

Speaker 1 (32:49):
We're just talking about the tripod.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Not the pod, the holder with the apparatus, the sad
the mount funny how you can't remember words out then
you're allowed to tap it. They' let you get away
with that, but you can't be holding it. So have
you gotten caught holding your phone? And it might take
a minute to retrain ourselves not to be grabbing it

(33:12):
and holding it while driving. Brent, you got caught already, Huh?

Speaker 7 (33:16):
I did?

Speaker 9 (33:16):
I got pinched. I feel very lucky, kind of like
first comment in an online post.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Okay, so what happened.

Speaker 9 (33:25):
I was commuting and actually saw a motorcycle police officer
in our little hometown, and I was wondering to myself,
kind of wonder if he's trying to enforce that new
no touch law. And then by three lights later, I'd
forgotten about him, and I tried to initiate the zoom
call while I was stopped at a red light, and

(33:48):
I realized to my right, this motorcycle cop had pulled
up next to my car and was looking into my car,
And as soon as I pulled forward into the intersection
which turned green, he lit me up and pulled me over.
And yeah, I mean that was the That was how
I pulled over. And then when he he he got
me over to the side of the road of the

(34:09):
Safeway parking lot, he said, you know why I'm pulling over?
And I said, I have a pretty good guess. And
he said, what were you trying to do? And this
is where he got me to admit guilt, which is
a lesson to all your listeners. I said, oh, I
was just trying to initiate a zoom call, like it
was some innocent thing I was doing. And he said, yeah,

(34:29):
I saw you holding your phone. And if you had
realized that you need to have your phone mounted on
your dashboard and you are allowed to do one touch
to initiate voice only, that I wouldn't have pulled you over.
But because you were holding your phone, even at a
red light, that's why I pulled you over.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
And did he any let you go?

Speaker 9 (34:52):
No, no, no, he he took great pleasure in handwriting
out a very long ticket and he only saw us.
That I got was he said that your first and
your first infraction is not regarded as a moving violation.
It's just a ticket that you can appear in court
to fight and pay. But your second one is a

(35:13):
dot on your record.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Got it. That's bad. They're being strict about it. There
should be. I guess it's very serious if you're not
paying attentional driving. But zoom calling, Brent, I mean really
like a zoom meeting while driving. Come on, that's like
you're not joint meeting while driving.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Join me someone, it's literally just hitting joint.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Oh but sometimes I know I put on that grid
and I'm looking at people and on my zoom because
I'm want to see everybody, and that's not okay while driving.

Speaker 9 (35:41):
You're absolutely right, right, I shouldn't have done it. It
was it was just trying to be a dutiful employee.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
I understand.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Well, thank you for dutifully sharing the news here, brent
On because of em and good luck.

Speaker 9 (35:53):
Safe driving, yeah, safe not touching phone driving, Thank.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
You very much.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, thanks brother, Take care? Just what just
talking about the you know, police for sacing the motorcycle cops.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
I like their look where the trousers going to the boot.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
I never want to say it to them because I
feel like that would be weird. I will say it
to you now, any motorcycle officers that are listening.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
I just think that's a great look.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
That that shiny boot, that long boot, that high boot,
and the trousers neatly tucked into that boot.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Good luck, it's good look in Thousand Oaks, Paula, good morning,
good morning. How are you super? Are you ready to
play Summer in LA higher or lower? Sure?

Speaker 7 (36:38):
Yes, I am ready Summer in LA.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Higher or all right, And here's how it works for
the Silk City tickets.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
I'll ask Tanya here a very difficult number related question.
If she gets it right, you will automatically win. If
she gets it wrong, you just say higher lower, meaning
you get that point, So say higher lower and got
to get three right before you get three wrong. That's
always the framework. Are you ready, Paula, I'm ready?

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Okay, are you ready talking?

Speaker 3 (37:11):
I'm scared? This is pressure.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Is your hair different today, Tanya? Why?

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Thank you for asking? It is a little bit different.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Yeah, I like it a little smoother. I'm happy about
the fact I actually noticed it.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
I'm excited. Here we go.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
The first one. What is the highest temperature on record
in Los Angeles County? The record for the high in
LA County?

Speaker 1 (37:36):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (37:37):
One hundred and twenty degrees?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Says Tanya. So that's not right. So, Paula, you have
a chance here to get this correct by guessing it right?
Is it higher? Lower the on record high tempt for
La the county.

Speaker 7 (37:52):
Let's say a higher?

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Yes, erect by one degree? No, no, you're right by one degree.
And Tanya, good job.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Oh, thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Okay, next one.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
How many gallons of water are used to maintain the
Groves Dancing Fountain each day during peak summer? Twenty gawns
of water to grove the Dancing Fountain each day of summer.
People want to know, Tanya, Uh, fifteen fifteen?

Speaker 3 (38:21):
What gallons?

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Fifteen gallons?

Speaker 2 (38:23):
All right, Paula, is it higher lower than fifteen gallons
per day?

Speaker 3 (38:30):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (38:30):
No, definitely higher?

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yeah, well done, she knows her water it's higher thirty
five thousand per day sum is recycled.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
By thousand gallons.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Yeah, I would not have I would have no idea
what to guess?

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Yeah, for the dancing fountain all right, so you've got
two one here to win. We're playing summer in La
Higher or lower for the wind? PAULA thousand oaks? How
many Dodger Dogs are sold at Dodger Stadium each year?

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Tanya, your guests? How many Dodger Dogs each year?

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Oh my gosh, I don't even know how many games
there are in a year A lot. Let's say fifty
a game. If there's fifty games, I don't even know
the math. I'm going to say a thousand Doctor Dogs.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
A thousand Dodger Dogs at Dodger Stadium, and you know
the capacity there's more than a thousand.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Well, because it's very in my mind not right, but
I'm not going to give it away. Paul, what what
is it? Higher or lower?

Speaker 2 (39:26):
I think I know some people that can down a
thousand in a game, so I would say higher. That's
tell me how you came to the conclusion of a
thousand a Dodger Stadium in fifty eight.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
I'm just curious about the real you got, because what.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
If there's like some vegans and.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
A thousand, a thousand, a thousand, you know, many people
go to Dodger Statum for a game fifty thousand fans
a game.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Also, I don't want I want her to win the tickets,
so like.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Oh so you did, You're welcome?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Was to make it obviously okay, well done, you win.
Congratulations two and a half million, two and a half million.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Dodged gosh, I would not have.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Guessed that a year.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
It's the most of any MLB stadium, Fyi, Paula, enjoy
your not Silk City tickets.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Wow, thank you so much, and thank you, Tanya.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
I know you, thank you, thank You're so welcome. I
love you.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
We appreciate you listening to it, all right.

Speaker 7 (40:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Second, I would never want to be a contestant on
that game like you were. That's hard. Big numbers are hard. Yeah,
I know I woulday.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
And you want them to win. So like, why do
I even want to get close.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Reputation ego?

Speaker 3 (40:33):
I have no ego reputation. I don't think I have
a reputation.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
Had a second Date update this morning, which actually was
probably one of our sweetest, most successful Second Date updates ever.
If you want to hear it, it'll be in our podcast,
which is up at noon on iHeartRadio. Kate is on
the phone here before your summer cash Kate, Good morning, morning.
So you want to know how to tell if you're
roommate and you don't want to live together anymore?

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Why is this a concern? Why is it on your mind?

Speaker 10 (41:06):
So before the pandemic, I got a two bedroom apartment
for a really good price. But then during the pandemic,
I was furloughed, so I got a roommate to make
rent cheaper. And I still live with her, and like,
we're still really good friends. But now I'm ready to
live on my own again. And the liase is under
my name and not hers, and I just don't know
what to do, Like, do I just like kick her out?

(41:27):
Do I tell her that we can't live together because
I want to live alone? I'm just really not sure.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Okay, you can't kick someone out. You just can't.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Yeah, why do you think you can kick her out?

Speaker 10 (41:44):
Well, the lease is under my name and not hers.
But it's just like I feel like I'm ready to
live on my own again and the apartment was mine before.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Do you have a significant other? Maybe you can say
you're ow. Can you pretend to start getting a significant other?

Speaker 10 (42:07):
I could, but we're fairly close. We're still like good friends.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Oh makes it so hard and uncomfortable. Can you grin?
And Barrett's can you just suck it up?

Speaker 10 (42:23):
I mean I could also just like get my own place,
but like where I live is rent controlled, so I
really have a great price. I just feel like, because
now I'm in my thirties, I just want to live
by myself without a roommate.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
Well can you just say that?

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Yeah, but then she's gonna be like, okay, then get
out and find your own place.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Is she okay?

Speaker 2 (42:46):
She could like, yeah, let's just rehearse as quickly, so
you're gonna you're you obviously, I can tell it's on
your mind. You want to tell her a version of this?
What do you think the best way to say? Knowing
her and knowing what you want, what is the best
way to say it for you?

Speaker 10 (43:05):
I just probably honesty, But I just worry that she's
gonna think I don't want to be friends anymore, But
I still do.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
I think there's a way to like just be honest
and sensitive to the situation and thoughtful with some flexibility.
Doesn't have to be so rigid and happened tomorrow. Like
maybe there's some ramping here. But in my mind, Kate,
if this is someone that you live with and you
know them pretty well and you like them and they're
your friend. Like just a heartfelt, honest conversation is okay,

(43:35):
see where you are after that?

Speaker 10 (43:38):
Yeah, yeah, I could do that.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Okay, So do you want to.

Speaker 3 (43:43):
Try that or just oh it doesn't open honest, heartfelt conversation.

Speaker 10 (43:49):
Yeah, I just I just I guess I could give
her some time and put out like a super close deadline,
be like in the next year or so.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
All right, there you have it. You's got some runway
an honest conversation, Kate.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
We'd love that we came to I think a fair
conclusion and appreciate you reaching out to us and asking.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
We have all had roommates.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
I had so many of them early on when I
moved here and over life, so I understand what you're
going through.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
Good luck, Thank you, Okay, good got that. I like that.
What the big grin, Tony?

Speaker 3 (44:19):
I just feel like you can't you can't suggest somebody
moving out. They either have to say I want to
move out or.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Like, no, no, I think you can say that you
want to be on your own in your thirties and
let's figure out a solution in a year, or whatever
it is I think.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
