This “pomegranate theory” going around on TikTok could speak volumes in your relationship.

Peeling a pomegranate is a mess and takes effort, right? So the idea goes if someone takes the time to do that without being asked, it’s a sign they see you, they care about you, and are willing to put in the work. And yes, it can be the literal fruit, but more often it’s any small gesture that says “I notice you.”

Things like making your morning coffee, running errands you dread, or just quietly doing something because you know it matters to them.

A relationship expert quoted in the article even says that doing hard things together is a huge green flag — it shows you’re each willing to step in when the other person’s strength runs low.

Thanks for being here. Okay, just hear the whole thing
out before you cast judgment. But I'm going to tell
you right now where I stand on it. Fan, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
I wonder if you're a pomegranate theory type of guy.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Okay, tell the whole thing. Okay, maybe you'll change my mind.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
So it's going around TikTok right now that this pomegranate
theory could speak volumes of what your relationship is and
like and kind of just revealed. Yes, that's kind of
just like where it stems from. Because pomegranates are messy,
they take effort. So the idea goes, if somebody takes
a time to do that without being asked, it's a

(00:38):
sign they see you and they care about you and
are willing to put in the work. And yes, it
could be the literal fruit, or it can be small gestures.
It's just to kind of say I notice you. Whether
it's just making your morning coffee, running errands that you
don't like to run, filling up your gas tank, things
like that could mean that you're in a very meaningful relationship.

(00:58):
So It's kind of one of those things to just
reflect about your relationship right now. And does your partner
do things like this for you? If they do, rate
if they don't.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
I didn't read anything but the headline. I thought it
was literally about if someone cleans up a pomegranate for you,
I'm not taking a determine they're a good person or not.
I was like, that sounds not smart. Kind of yes,
so I think that is a sign of a great character.
So if you take it not literally, which I did,
then I actually subscribe. It is the little things, It
is the nuance. It is the way people treat other

(01:29):
people that they don't know that tells you. Everything on
air filled by the Home Depot.
