Peeling a pomegranate is a mess and takes effort, right? So the idea goes if someone takes the time to do that without being asked, it’s a sign they see you, they care about you, and are willing to put in the work. And yes, it can be the literal fruit, but more often it’s any small gesture that says “I notice you.”

Things like making your morning coffee, running errands you dread, or just quietly doing something because you know it matters to them.

A relationship expert quoted in the article even says that doing hard things together is a huge green flag — it shows you’re each willing to step in when the other person’s strength runs low.
