Okay, So the group text, who was it? They said
they were crying when they.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Saw that Tanya was crying.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
I was crying. Tanya was crying. So I get this
group text. Have you seen anybody seen this thing about
the monkey? The punch? The monkey. It's an orphaned baby monkey, right,
His name is Punch.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Punch was rejected by his mother at birst. This happened
sometimes with primates, and so he had to be raised
by the zoo uh workers, and so he became really
attached to humans versus his own kind. And so when
they try to interact him with the other monkeys, they
were really mean to him, and they wouldn't play with him,
and they would punch him around and like they just

literally just like smack him. And so the zoo gave
him this stuffy that is now sold out at Ikea
by the way, it's an orangutang stuffy, and he would
basically when he would get punched from these other monkeys,
he would run to his orangutang and then just hold
onto his little stuffy and carry it around like the
whole like habitat. And so they little by little every

day got a little bit better for Punch and Punch
never gave up. He continued to try to interact with
the other monkeys, and finally some have accepted him, and
he's now, you know, being included in like the grooming,
like where they groom each other, and every day is
getting better for Punch.

But we are just obsessed with him. Am I like
less of a person that that kind of breaks my
heart sometimes? More like animal stories break my heart more
sometimes than human stories. It just breaks your heart. It
