Speaker 1 (00:00):
He's got one of the most iconic voices in Hollywood,
you'd say, up there with Morgan Freeman.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
He also inspired me, I reckon, I.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Think it's a stretch too, all right, come like him,
a Llegian, and he inspires us to write our journals.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
All right, all right, all right, yes, indeed, you are
the author of your story, of your journal.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
In this journal, you will get to know yourself better,
and you better get to know.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Do you know what I like?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
A quiet achiever, someone that quietly gets to work and
gets the job done. Well, did I see a great
example of that this week? Well, I was stuffing my
face with pizza, pasta and beer in Italy. Stready was
diligently turning up to Flix fitness getting the job done.
And because I was away a month, as soon as
she slipped into her sweaty bitty training gear. And that's
what it's called the changes. The changes are right there

(00:59):
in front of my eyes. And this is well timed because,
as we all know, summer bodies are made in winter,
and Streaty has set herself up perfectly for the golden
window of opportunity. She has time to reach dizzying new
heights just in time for the bikini season. Congrats Streaty
on losing ten kgs. The new goal is to get
to the point where people think you're using a zmpig

(01:20):
when you're not.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
You have you have overstated my way. This is high,
this is defamation.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
That's when you know you've made it and you can
do it. Go for us.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
You are looking, she knows why are you are overstating?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
It's definitely ten kg And.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Also it wasn't a quite achieved because I had someone
yapping in my ear. Is nothing I like wore the
samon I see me at the gym.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Self appointed coach can love it? No, you can love it.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Well done.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Hi.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Anyone who's been a parent, caregiver or teacher of any
kind knows it to minefield. And as as hard as
we try, no one's one hundred percent sure of what
we're supposed to be doing.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
We just hope for the best.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
I've read books, have done courses, and been to parenting seminars,
and I still just cross my fingers and hopes be
as optimistic as I can. Our sons eleven and eight,
and my wife Louise and I are trying to teach
them about the dangers are becoming addicted to screens. They
use chromebooks at school, and they know about online safety.
But we're also trying to show them good habits, like
putting our phones and devices down, spending time outside, or
doing things as a family without our faces buried in

(02:14):
the screens.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
This week because they've.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Helped us wash the cars, pun the trees, kick some
soccer goals, and write some cards for people. We also
tried playing board games before bedtime. We chose Monopoly, yes,
a game notorious for starting fights. So on the first
night we tried this, our boys not only learned about
money and property, they also learned the value of pitfalls,
of bankrupting your spouse and can management, the wonderful value
of conflict resolution, and several new words that can never repeat.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
So yes, so far, so good. I think this weekend
was going to watch TV.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Jace. You pruned that the hedges, you made cards. You're
the Swiss family, Robinson. I'm pretty sure mine were on
devices most of the week.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
A vicious board gone with you, especially nex.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Week week, leasily for the weekend till you can go
and tell them to stay their room. I did jo
all the Olympics have been given me life. Isn't it
amazing to have something to look forward to each and
every day? Even though I've been staying up way past
my bedtime and the mornings have hurt, these games have
been feeding my soul. The nail biting events, the near missus,
the triumphs, the despair, but more than anything, the passion.

(03:14):
Isn't it great to watch people that care so much
about realizing their dream and they're prepared to sacrifice so
much to get there. That's the biggest like lesson that
I think we can all take away from these games.
Find your passion, have a focus, have something you really
care about, and work hard to get there. Because on
the other side of all that effort is a glorious reward.
So many of us will never know that feeling because
we're too scared to give it a crack. Let these

(03:36):
Olympics be your inspiration.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Love's a bit snapshot of our thoughts this week. Hopefully
you've had a really good one on either way, you're
