Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, So when you're looking, when you're saying, like you
found lanterns, held lanterns for you, if someone's in a
spot right now and they're here in this conversation, they're like, man,
I am resonating with this. How does someone start looking
for lanterns in their life? Like, you found these people
to help guide you, and you kind of connected the
dots and now you're sharing that information. Obviously you are
a lantern, but like, how does someone look around their
own life and realize who are the people to reach

(00:23):
out to and who should you ask for help and guidance?
How do you know if someone's meant to be a
mentor and a guide for you? Like, how did you
find that? There's just so many different categories for this,
I mean there it just depends on what it is
you need. I mean, in every community, whether it is
in person or it's virtual, there is the possibility of

(00:46):
therapy of a therapist, of a counselor. That was a
key lantern for me. My all of my therapy was virtual,
so my therapist it was during COVID and so there's
always the possibility of therapy and finding somebody who can
guide you through your own emotional sort of landscape. It

(01:07):
can be way more like nerdy and practical than that.
Like for me, I was in a space where I
needed so much financial mentorship. I had never run my
own traps. I don't know how much money I made.
I did not know if we had a retirement plan.
I do not know how many bank accounts. We had nothing,
no swords, no clue. I mean I was in the

(01:28):
red on knowledge. And so I had these nerdy helpers
called my local banker, my like CPA, my little bookkeeper,
like nothing fancy here. These are just like Victoria at
Chase Bank a half a mile away from my house,
who I office, I said, in so many hours and
just went, can you help me work this out? And

(01:50):
so it depends on what you're looking for. But there's
a lot of people in our communities who know what
we don't know. They're good at what we're not good at.
They have experience and information in the places that to
us just feel like a quagmire, like this is so confusing.
It's not confusing to someone someone. And what I discovered

(02:12):
is most of those people are so willing to help.
It's what they're good at. It's what they're good at
and so I think the bigger thing is not where
do I find them? Because helpers are everywhere. It's more
are you willing to? Are you willing to raise your
hand and say I am confused. I do not understand
interest rates. I do not know how to deal. I

(02:35):
don't know how to sleep. I can't sleep anymore. I
don't know how to handle this high blood pressure in
my body like my doctors were winters, And so are
you willing to? Are you willing to say? I do
not have this altogether. I do not understand this space.
I don't know what to do next. I need help.
I need guidance. I need a teacher, I need instructors.

(02:57):
I had no pride. Absolutely then there was nobody that
I would pretend to know something too. I was just like, no,
I don't know, Please teach me, like, please teach me
what this means. And they did, and it changed my life.
That is so huge because I feel like I've hit
this place in my life where it's like I have tried.
I've done so many things in my life, but I'm
hitting an area where I have not It's uncharted, and

(03:19):
it's like getting to a place where I actually don't
have a clue, and like people have been asking me
this lately, like what are your goals? What are your dreams?
And I'm like, I don't actually have any goals and
dreams right now, which is so bananas because I have
been someone who has been so fueled and motivated by
my goals and dreams my whole life that I've been
on like a hamster will with them chasing them down.
But like my whole mentality has been switching about, like

(03:40):
what is actual happiness and success and what of my God?
And so but I'm just like I'm just so confused
on like next steps and what to do? Is That's why,
like I literally, women like yourself are such incredible guides
because you have created a life and a business out
of who you are, but you've been able to share
that so effectively, and it's so inspiring to see people

(04:04):
use their life as their message, as their career as
But it's just it's it's but it's such a personal
journey navigating this when you don't know the way and
only your inner guidance can tell you that, and so
you have to go find it. It's like a treasure hunt,
you know. Like learning all this information, piecing it together,
taking this from that person, but not all of this,
and some of that, and you piece it together and

(04:25):
then it's like you make a mean course, which is
so awesome because you've conglomerated all this knowledge out there.
It's just just just wild how it takes so long
to find it and put it together and make a picture.
