Speaker 1 (00:38):
Hi. Can you believe maybe after I don't know, twenty
five years, we're finally not been twenty five years. Well
at least am I dating us? No?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
No, okay, because I'm forty two. It can't be twenty
five because I moved on.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Twenty is twenty years, twenty twenty twenty years, twenty twenty years.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Okay, let's test someth might put it right up to
your mouth, Nancy, let's hear hello.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Oh it's perfect one today, lovely. I mean you could
not look you her? Thank you and your pants.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
You're so onerable your son brand because you grew up
on a horse farm.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
I did.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
I live on a horse farm. That's right, and you
have horses? Came full circle? Did you ever know that
was gonna happen in your life?
Speaker 1 (01:16):
I always knew I wasn't like a city chick. But
when I was on the farm. It was the happiest
time of my life. I mean, I had the best childhood.
I loved my siblings. You're one of five, one of five, yeah,
but from my my dad's first marriage. Uh, there were
three olders, so me and my brother from my mom
and my dad and then the three Debbie Donna and
(01:39):
John's wait say it again, Debbie down and John. Debbie
Donna and John. I love that. And they they were
consecutive like my dad and his ex wife, may Or Mayor.
They were like little bunnies. Boom boom boom, so they
go for they go. I think now they're like fifty five,
fifty six, fifty seven or sixty sixty one, sixty two.
(02:00):
I can't keep drying. They're older than us. They're a
lot older than us, so a lot, a lot. Just
to clarify, we're not anywhere near those ages.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Obviously, we were very young in our mid thirties, yes, forever,
right though.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
You haven't aged a day, No, you have either, you
haven't either. You've never done one thing to your face,
nothing like you've never done fillers, you've never done botox,
You've never done lips, nothing, not a thing, nothing, and
I used to get made fun of for my big brownies.
What's a frownie? Those things you put on your face?
You don't get lyned? No and raise your You don't
have any lines? You got nothing? No I do? Is
(02:35):
that that Italian? Yeah? Well eat it? I drink olive
oil every day. I mean no, I don't. I eat
it all the time.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
You're also an amazing chef, thank you. I mean unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And I went through all of my twenties without having
any alcohol. So was that a reason for that? Yeah?
I just became like really, you know, just I guess
goody goody. I just didn't want to drink. I didn't
want to go. I didn't want to do it.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I don't know why'd you become goody goody? Which is
great to be goodie goody, But what prompted that?
Speaker 1 (03:01):
I just a bad experience, bad people around me bad?
Share any of this? Yes? Or do we want to
keep it personal? Probably just right now? You know, I
tell you anything, but just you know you don't want
to share all your dirty luncher.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah yeah, okay, so you had said it prompted you
you were in a situation that you didn't like and
you're like, you know what, I'm just gonna do one eighty.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah, what age was this? Twenty okay? So wait twenty okay?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
And that's after you left, right when you you left
Florida and you.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Moved to Nashville. So I moved to Nashville. I have
been wanting to. I took a road trip in nineteen
ninety seven from Florida to Nashville and back, and I
stopped in like twenty different cities along the way, and
I wanted it to be like did you ever see
Vacation which heavy taste? Like the original the og? I
loved that movie, and I wanted to do all the
things like I stopped in Dodge City, Kansas, and I
(03:48):
did the whole like saloon like that. I just did
everything that they did, the grand candy, all the things
and read by yourself. Now. I was with my ex, Oh,
the one who suck his penis in someone else's vagina.
You remember him? He was a Balltenza A series. Oh yeah,
oh yeah. I was with him from from when I
was nineteen to twenty nine, ten years. He was my
(04:11):
first everything and is cheating on you? Yes? Did you
know it? Well? I found out later. We'll get to that.
Oh yeah, for ten years, ten years I was with him.
Where'd you meet? It was he in Florida. Yes, Florida.
Wasn't an artist because you have had it artist now
we don't have to talk about He was the botenza.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Okay, he was the bartender and literally was running around
on you, running around Okay.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
So anyway, I I was with him and we went
to all the stops, all the stops, and on the
way back we did like ten you know, the I
ten and then we did the forty on the way
home to Florida, and Nashville was one of the last stops.
And this is when they had Auberland, you know, the
theme park. The theme park was still here, and downtown
(04:55):
was so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
And it was such a such a It's crazy because
you and I have lived through so many Nashals. We
have the National Room we were in our prime is
not here.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
No, it is gone. It is it's a graveyard.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
It's a graveyard. Yeah, I know, it's so weird. Okay,
rest in peace.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I know. Yes, you came here and you did opu Land,
you went downtown and you're like, did all the thing this? Yes,
I fell in love with it. I walked I'll never
forget because I lived in Boca at the time and Florida, Florida,
and I'll never forget walking through the mall and like
maybe just walking down Broadway and just people were like
looking at me in my eyes, how you doing? How
(05:34):
are you? And I was like, what what do you
want for me?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
No?
Speaker 1 (05:40):
But it was such a just such a drastic difference
from Boca and where everyone, you know, it was like
what do you do? How much money to work? You know?
What kind of car do you drive? I mean, it
was like so blatantly like ridiculous there. So I was
just like, I have to have this. It reminds me
of growing up on a farm, you know, and my roots.
And I loved the food and the hills. Florida was
(06:04):
so flat and the seasons. Florida didn't have seasons. So
I fell in love with it immediately and I had
to have it, Okay, And that's why. So, but you
went back to Florida though with your boyfriend? Yes?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
And then did he end up moving here with you?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yes, we moved here years later. But I had been
begging for years and so I'm finally we did and
then cheated, divorce, You married him? Oh, I was married
to him for ten year married. Yeah, he was your husband. Yes, man, what.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Is that like when you found out your husband's cheating
on your Boyfriend's bad enough?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
But like husband, Oh it was so bad? How'd you
find out? Oh, this is a good story, your story.
I care. I can laugh now because I don't care.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Obviously your life has ended very well.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I'm happy where I am.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yes, and it was. I just feel like it was
a blessing in disguise, and it was it was meant
to be. God has a plan, and this is where
he you know, he didn't want me there, he wants
me here now. So but but yeah, so this is
random and totally date dating me again. But I found
panty hose in the back of the car. Panty hose, puzzy,
(07:14):
So are they doing this in the back of the car.
So I brought it to his attention because I obviously
don't wear panty hose, and I was like, excuse me,
what's this And he's like, oh, I don't know, I
don't know. That was just he just made up some
random excuse. So I had this idea and you guys
all should try it too, because it's really good. If
you ever think that your a significant other is cheating
(07:37):
on you, do this. So like, think of his best
friend who he tells everything to. Okay, So I made him.
I said, I'm leaving you if you don't do this.
So I made I said I'd like, you know, kind
of tricked him and said, I forgive you. You just
tell me the truth all the things. But deep down,
I wasn't gonna FREGI of this shit. No, sorry, no no.
So I made him call his best friend and gave
(08:01):
him some things to say, and I was listening. He
was on speaker, and I said, hey, uh, Nancy found
out that I cheated on her. So he did this.
He did it. He did it because I was going
to leave if he didn't. Was he denying the cheating
though of this, yes, he was denying it one percent okay,
And so the I don't know what he was thinking
(08:22):
that he was hoping that this guy would say. But
he said, oh dude, how'd she find out? Oh?
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Well, of course, so you divorced him right after that?
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Oh yeah, immediately.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Were you into modeling already or.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Did you get oh? I was yeah, yeah, no, I
was since about seventeen.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Okay, because let's run through some of these things that
you were doing. Was he jealous of your modeling because
I didn't realize you did all this?
Speaker 1 (08:44):
You have? Have you been on one hundred covers? Yeah,
you've been on the one hundred You've been on this
random stuff is not like Vogue, but the one hundred
magazine covers you have you worked with Oscar Dala Rinta,
I have. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
You served as the face of a major fortune five
hundred brands, including Fruit of the Loom, Hilton Hotels, McDonald's,
Miller Lite, Bacardi, BMW, Kellogg's, Snickers, Ritz Crackers.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
You model for all these Toyota I mean, yeah, I
haven't thought about that in a while. Toyota was a
SAG National commercial and and it was, uh, at the time,
my biggest paying gig. It was a huge deal. Yeah,
they aired it during Super Bowls and this and that.
It was it was pretty amazing. What are you doing
in the commercial? I'm just in the car, just like
(09:32):
the hot girl. Yeah, there was a I think it was,
uh maybe it was NASCAR where I was Well, let's
let's edit that. Why because I can't I couldn't remember
if Toyota was. I'm sorry, I couldn't remember if Toyota
was the NASCAR one, but that wouldn't make sense. But
(09:52):
I did a commercial with Dale Earnhardt. No, that was
Mountain Dew. I did a commercial with with Dale Earnhardt Junior,
and that was Mountain Dew and that was pretty cool.
You're with him in the commercial. I'm with him in
the commercial. What are you doing? I'm like, so, I'm like,
I have the microphone and I'm telling him to back
(10:13):
his car up. And then he's asking me if I
like Dia Mountain Dew or regular Mountain Dew. I'm like, no,
Die Mountain Dew. You know, I'm like picking the one
he should drink. And then oh, and then I did
one with Darryl Waltrip. Okay, I guess I think that
might have been the Toyota one where I'm like, you know,
just like holding up the trophy. He just won the
(10:34):
race and I'm like next to him holding up the
trophy and anyways, just I.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Mean, so you had a season where you were just
like doing so many commercials, so many covers. Yeah, you
were constantly modeling, and then your music videos bon Jovi, Yeah,
Dolly here, what were you?
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Were you like the leads in these? I was the
lead in Dolly parton. I was just like a barfly
cum full circle, just a bar fly in the bon
Jovi one. But I had some good air. Oh yeah, amazing,
sweetest guy and of course Italian, so we had that
in common. Yes, But but the Dolly I was. I
(11:13):
was a legit, h like principal in that one. And
I was the lead in that one. And she got
to set and I had a character name. So my
name was Jenny and she would call me Jenny the
whole day. Okay, what song was this? This was called Heartbreakers.
It was a duet with Rhonda Vincent album that she did. No, No,
(11:34):
it was before, but it wasn't like in the early days. Yes,
ron of Vincent. Yeah, so did you guys do some
some things with Ronda Vincent when you had your band,
because I feel like you did something. I love Navincent though. Yeah,
she's great, but no, they had a duet, her and
Dolly did a duet and yeah, so what was what
was your name Jenny? And what did you do as
(11:55):
Jenny in this music video? So I was the one that.
So I was in the car with this guy is
convertible and we were driving and he had blindfolded me
and he was taking me somewhere. And then turns out
I was the mistress and I didn't know that, and
I lifted up the blindfold and they were like, you know,
(12:19):
I was like not blind anymore. I guess it was
like a metaphor for me finding out that he had
a wife. Or was he taking you to show you them? No? No,
he was just the girls, Yes, exactly. Oh yeah, it's
a good video. I need to watch it again. I
need to rewatch it.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
So you're hanging out in the car with Dolly and
Ronda Vincent.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Dolly and Ronda Vincent were in front of the car.
They were like singing and doing all that. So you're
hanging out with them all day on set? How was that?
It was amazing?
Speaker 2 (12:46):
What is Dolly parton? Like like in between takes?
Speaker 1 (12:49):
She is just as authentic as you can get wheat
and just funny and just on. She was on, you know,
she was she was amazing.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
She's ever not on that, you know, because her whole
I know, almost like a stage.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yeah, you know, true, She's amazing and now Holland my
daughter for she is obsessed with her. Did you see
how she dressed up for Yes? Yeah, it was so cute.
She loves her. She knows all the words to all
the songs. It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
So how did you get into modeling and entertainment? You're
also in your extras and you had roles in Little
Fokkers and an iron Man too, like you're like one
of the girls all.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Over j did you see? And then I had and
then I had a little one liner in the Duke's Hazard.
But that was pretty cool because I got to work
with them for for a whole week, and so I
was like spending time with Reynolds. How was that? I
feel like that that was a celebrity crash Shane. Oh,
that's you know, Burt fucking Reynolds. I mean that's what
(13:49):
they call on. I mean, that was a He's a legend, okay,
And how was a legend? Amazing? Very handsy. He was
very handsy like on you, I mean, but like fuddy,
like he's Burt Reynolds. I don't really care. What are
you single at the time? No, you weren't. Were you married?
I was too bad? I know what a wasted opportunity.
(14:10):
That was I'm kidding. And then Willie Nelson. How is Willy?
Oh amazing? He was so sweet to everybody and legendary moments. Yeah,
and I knew him before, like I actually became in
the in the music scene, so you know, just from
the movie. Oh yeah, yeah. So, and then Jessica Simpson,
of course, how was she was? She was pretty cool
(14:31):
and she was a little you know, included, you know,
to herself a little bit, which is like her first
movie Girl Too. It was yeah. And then I had
a swimmer company at the time actually because I used
to do Hawaiian Tropic and all the contests and and everything,
and and I would I would always get suits like,
(14:53):
you know, made for me right and custom suits made.
And then I was like they would always do it
wrong and have to go back for fit and fittings.
And I was like, I'm just gonna do this myself.
And so all the girls started getting their suits for me. Anyways,
So I had like suits and I made her. I
brought to the set a Daisy Duke bathing suit. I made.
It was pretty cool. It had like you know, it
(15:14):
was made out of leather and like or blue Swede
and it had like daisies on it and fringe and
it was really cool and so I just gave it
to her as a gift and anyway, so we just
became chatty after that and she was She's real sweet
and seen her only a few times since that because
you know, we had run in the same circles after that,
you know these business anyways, So but yeah, it was
(15:37):
pretty It was an amazing experience. That is so wild.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
So did it all just start snowballing once you start
doing one thing to other things to start coming in,
because there's a season of your life where you.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Were like non stop working. Yes, was that fun? Did
you like it? I No, I loved it. I loved
creating a bikini all the time. I probably was at
the time. I mean only ate like fish and vegetables
and I watched my portions. Yeah, you couldn't have any
type of flabbergast and like flying around, flipping around anything,
(16:10):
so you had to be like in tip toppy. You
really did stressful. It was a little stressful. Yeah, yeah,
I don't remember like being stressed at the time, but
I know I had to be. I know, I definitely
was on like a strict diet, so and I worked
out a little bit. But back then you didn't have
to really work out, you know, when you're that age,
(16:30):
have to work out, I know. Yeah, and these little
influencers today they're like, oh, honey, I know, I've been there.
I know.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
But so we started with the modeling, and then you
kind of got into the film team app to be after.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Yes, So modeling first, well, first the pageants pageants okay.
And it wasn't pageants pageants, yes, in Florida. It was
Hawaiian tropic okay. And I just wanted to get out
of the house, you know. I wanted to you know,
go on tours, and I wanted to do this and
they have so many fun things and so I wanted
(17:07):
to be a part of it because one of my
girlfriends was doing it and I was like, well I
could do that too. So I just started winning everything
and then I was getting all these titles and going
to all these pageants and and all these country you know,
like all the things that they would you know, do
and and it was just really really really fun and
it taught me discipline and camaraderie and a lot of
(17:29):
things that.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Were Girl was the sisterhood strong or was it was strong?
Speaker 1 (17:34):
There was groups that were strong and there was groups
that were competitive for sure. Okay, where'd you fall in?
Right in the middle?
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Okay, have not to probably be a little competitive, because you.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Are as definitely competitive. I mean growing up with my siblings,
like we would flip board games. I mean if we
weren't winning, we'd be like, really was that competitive? Because
you'realient a board flipper? But you're Italian? Was your other
heritage Italian? At three quarters Italian and one quarter Irish? Okay?
And ancestry DNA like totally confirm that, like seventy five
(18:04):
percent Italian and a quarter Irish.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
So that you got an intensity to you. Oh yeah,
but you're also very true.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yeah yeah. How would you describe yourself? Nancy? I'm a
good mix, Like, don't cross me. What happens when you
cross you? The Italian feisty hot Tomali comes out? Okay? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:24):
And is that like screaming at people? I have been
known ruining lives? Would you like like Carrie Underwood, uh
before before he cheats huw is that you like bashing
in a car?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Do you go crazy? Now? I don't go that crazy. Okay, okay,
back maybe in my twenties, but I've never done anything
like that. Okay. But even when I mean I felt it,
even when I was cheated on, I was like, bye,
were you glad to be on that relationship? Yeah? I was.
So maybe that had something to do with it too.
What happened when you're thirty years old? Because you're like
twenty nine and so.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
When you got divorced, Yeah, twenty nine, So that's time
in life, because that's what people, I guess are either
like you're thirty you're thinking, right kid.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Thirty yeah? Yeah, yeah, you're in the middle of your career.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, you're in the middle of settling down your life
and now like it's like starting over. Is that terrifying?
But you said you're relieved. I was relieved because I
really knew he was not the right guy. But you're
kind of in it and stuck.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Yeah, yeah, I was stuck. I was really religious and
still am, but I was really religious and I did
not believe in divorce. And this was the only reason
that you know, in my book, in the Bible, I
guess infidelity and abuse and things like that. So this
was my out. I guess you could say I wanted
I guess I wanted an out deep down. You know
(19:49):
what happened when you got divorced? What was life like?
It was fun. I felt like I was reliving all
of my twenties. I was dating my agent at the time,
who became a psycho stalker. Do you remember, is that
Rotten Robbie? No, oh, I hope he's not watching. And
I didn't make up that name for him, Rotten Robbie.
(20:11):
He sounds like a terrible agent. Well it was. They
had a gas station named Rotten Robbie. So my girlfriend
Ashley you know Ashley, Oh, yeah, she made up that
name for him. So we'd all call him Ron and Robbie.
But he one time he came over to my house
and he started acting a fool, and I was like,
(20:32):
you have to leave. And it was around fall time,
and I had all these displays of pumpkins and scarecrows
and hey and all the things. Because you know me,
I go out, I go hard.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
I do you go hard for decorating parties anything, which
is amazing.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
You are a party planner, which we'll get into, okay,
And so I said you have to go, like you've
got to go and so he reluctantly left, but on
his way out, he started like ripping the heads off
scarecrows and taking the pumpkins and smashing him down and
all the things. And I was like, what an idiot.
But anyway, next season, this is crazy around I should say.
(21:08):
I was in and out because I was traveling for
work and stuff like that. But I started seeing these
like little vines grow around my pathway and I paid
no mind, paid no attention, and then around May they
started to really be coming out. April, June, July, August, September,
I was getting full blown, like pumpkins, pumpkins. Did you
(21:31):
kind of love it? Oh? I loved it. I was
like these And it didn't hit me at first because
it had been so long and he was in jail
at this point, and I'm just kidding. Geez, Nancy, Well
he did. We had to go to court because I
had to get a restraining order because he was so
crazy snatty.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
You would be a good person talk to about dating advice.
Nancy has lived through it.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Oh, I have. He He broke my phone one time,
and then he was so scared he took all the pieces,
ran out the door and then he came back to
my house. He had repaired it. He didn't buy me
anyone who repaired it, and like stuck it through the
little you know, mail slot, and I was looking at
it to see if it worked, and I was going
through it, and I was like, wait a second, he
(22:12):
had erased all the male contacts in my phone, brothers, cousins,
and all its STOM contacts in there. Nancy, youaset tell
me you didn't keep dating him? A no, no, no.
And then when I did cut him off, he he
called me from a private number like at least two
hundred times a day. And that's when I had to
(22:34):
take it to court and get the restraining order and
all that stuff. Nancy, Yeah, it was. That's terrible. There
was so much more. How did you change your dating? Uh?
What you were going for? You know, because clearly you've
ended up. You're now happily married. Happily married. You've been
married for a while now, Yeah, twelve twelve years, well,
(22:57):
twelve years. We celebrated twelve years to gather in on
April twenty sixth and May, no sorry, and November it
will be twelve years married. Because we only dated for
six months. We got married.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Yeah, we got Did you had you done internal work
to change what you were looking for? Because it sounds
like in the past there were some crazies.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Oh yeah, did you do something to change you after
after the agent, I went to the musician.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yes, and that was a long time. Was that like
ten years?
Speaker 1 (23:33):
No? No, it felt like ten years, but not like
I'm not like putting it down, but it was it
was five.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Years, okay, And you did a very successful musician for
like five years.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Yes, okay.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
And dating an artist is a league of its own,
you know, there's all different flavors.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Yeah, so you had some flavors. And then it was
a good time, it was a bad time. It was
all the time. It was I was a good hearted woman.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yes, of country songs were probably about you and that, okay.
But so then that ended and that was that was
a hard That was a heart break up, a hard time.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
That was a hard time. And did you like.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
After that, we're we're like, okay, I've got to like
I've got something's gonna.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Shane definitely did some I definitely can't keep dating these
kind of searching some some hard work. Church was just
a lifesaver and just really got back to my roots
and got back to just needing you know, something, something wholesome,
something pure, something you know that was deep down inside
of me, you know, just needed a home life and
(24:39):
just want a family. I wanted a family.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
So Jesse James Decker, Yeah, gotta love her. She's like
the matchmaker of the world. I feel like she considers
that a part time job she does.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
She was good at it. She definitely was good at it.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
She was I mean, is she still doing it or
she retired.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
I think she's retired, but I mean she's not above
doing it.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Like if she found a match in her head, she
would match it. Well, you know, she told me to
write like the Letter to God.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
That's what I was about to say. Oh yeah, she
told Jesse told me to write my letter to God.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Well you know what, and this is all young people
listening who are not in a relationship, This is this
is what you need. How it happened, we got to
give Jesse James sext Yeah I doubt us.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Look at us both married.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Okay, tell us about the Letter to God because that
was kind of the moment.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
That was the moment that changed everything. So I was
at my church and I was just so sad. I
was just looking at, you know, all these families and
with all their little babies, and I was just like,
I was probably thirty five at this point, and you're like,
oh my gosh, my Chanese and my my has my
like biological clock ticking like is it done? Is it broken?
(25:43):
Like you know, I'm just nervous. It's scary.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
So yeah, when you want it more than anything, and
then all these the age thing, it's a huge thing
for women.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yeah, So I I remembered what Jesse said. I think
it was like the night before, and I was like, Okay,
I'm going to do it. So I went out and
I sat on this bench under this tree. I'll never
forget it, and I just started writing in my notes.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
And She's said in the letters to God, you have
to be super sicky, like explain like the psye color,
like how you want him to treat you, what he likes,
what you like, you know, what you want in common,
Like you love Disney family, you like put in there
like that you have to love Disney.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yes, and he had season tickets like I mean what
like what man?
Speaker 2 (26:25):
I know, you know, and like personality traits everything interest
and like cooking and stuff.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Did you have like cooking in there, because yes, everything,
all the things. I mean, his family's in His dad
was in a band, My dad was in a band.
His dad was in the horse business. My dad was
in the horse business. I mean, I could go on
and on and on to the point of after I
met him, I'll rewind, I'll get back, I digress. But
after I met him, I felt so comfortable with him,
Like a week later, I read him this letter a
(26:54):
week and he goes, there is no way that you
wrote that before you met me, like he thought that
I had met I read I wrote it after I
met him, because all of the things like there was
no way. Well.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
And the reason why I feel like the Letter to
God is so crucial is because when you write the
letter to God, you're writing from your heart what you
truly believe you want in your life and deserve in
your life. And so it kind of like weed all
the red flags because then if you meet someone and
they aren't kind of in this blueprint and they're not,
(27:28):
I know, we're getting all choked up about it. You know,
if they're you kind of realize immediately, Okay, Like when
you meet someone if they don't have the outline of this,
you realize it's probably not the one, right, And it
makes it clear, It makes it clear to what you're
actually looking for, like in that like you said, it
goes from job to how they spend like do they
(27:48):
have a temper?
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Are they? Are they funny? It was part of yes.
Sense of humor was super humor.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
All these things like how do they handle stress?
Speaker 1 (27:58):
How do they yes? How are they treating you? Like?
Speaker 2 (28:01):
You know, just so many things. So then when you
actually meet someone, you're like, oh my gosh, you're matching
my letter to God or you're not.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Exactly, And it just weeds it out because I don't
have time to waste at this At that point, I
did not have time to waste, right, and so and
it also just really clarifies a lot of things that
you're feeling inside and you want and you need when
you write it down and when you pray over it. Right,
So that's what I did. I wrote it down and
I prayed over it a lot. And how long after
(28:29):
you got the letter to God? A little less than
a year, Okay, so you were really were you dating
in that time? Were you kind of not really well?
Remember oh you kind of dating a surfer? Well do
you remember when I came over to your house? So
you had a part in hooking us up too, So
this is funny. That's always been connected. I've been oh
(28:50):
my gosh. So yeah, I was like dabbling here and
there are nothing serious, nothing serious, but I was dating
this like surfer guy, and and you were dating, well
you weren't.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
I had been with Michael for two four years and
we had broken up, but like in my heart, like
I feel like we just needed a break because I knew, right,
I was obviously married Michael.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Right, right, But she went on a date with my husband.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Well because Jesse was trying to Jesse was trying to
set me up with people too, and it was him, yeah, yes,
And we went on a date and it was so nice.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
He was so sweet.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
It was literally like I was like, this guy is
a great guy. Yeah, like he's not my guy, right,
And we became friends, like and then you came over.
I came over to watch the oh super Bowl because no, no,
it's amazing, amazing, race, just amazing.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
I like introduced you to get you on.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Yes, awful, certain people you introduced jin to the agent
or whatever that got us on because they were looking
for country singers.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Yes, well, they asked me to do it originally, and
I was like, I don't think I can. I wasn't
in a good place at the time. I was like,
I don't want to. I don't know. I was even
actually scared to fly at the time. And this all
pertained water did another show master chef or something a
master chef? So you that was after okay, because I
was not into this at the time, didn't want to be.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
I do think something like that was a big It
was just stress, stressing on your system.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
And also I was it was so ingrained in me,
like you know, reality is going to ruin your life.
Uh yeah, yeah, I guess, yes. So I just I
introduced what was from your ex. Well, I mean just
like you know, not like he didn't want me to
uh really do like work and like get out, not
like that. Maybe I'm saying it wrong. I just wanted
(30:31):
you to kind of but yeah, just yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Just more like behind the scenes, I guess.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Okay. Anyways, so you had to rewire a little bit.
I had to rewire.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Yeah, I had to rewire, and you were in the
rewiring phase, yes, after you wrote your letter to God.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
That's what this whole year was. Yes, exactly. So I
so then I inter I introduced Jen and and brought
you in and all the things.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
And Jen Wayne was who I did the amazing race with.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
Yes, and so I was coming over to watch the
finale of that because I hadn't even seen you know,
you guys doing that and anyway, so we got to
talking and you said you were you had just went
on this date with this guy that was really cute
enough for you and and Jesse set you up with them,
and I was like, well, I was wishould we trade
(31:16):
because I was at this guy that was like not
you know, no, uh, chemistry whatever. And I was like,
wait a second, Jesse, Jesse My Jesse's introduced you guys too. Yeah,
So I was like I called her immediately and I
was like I want him because you showed me a picture.
And I was like, did you know right away? Yes?
Did you feel it? I felt it when I saw
(31:36):
his picture. You knew and I heard his last name, Doll,
and I was like, Nancy Dall.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
I was like, okay, you knew right away. When y'all met,
it was like electricity, fireworks.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Instant, the world stopped. It was y'all were meant to be.
When I opened up that door to my house for
our date, it was like a blind date. It was
a blind date. I hear the story again. I love
this you. I open up that door and it felt
like that was my home, not behind me, like you
know what I mean, like back in my townhouse there,
(32:08):
this was my home. I was going towards home, not leaving.
We just it was love at first sight. It was
love at first sight.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
But what did I feel like when when love at
first sight hit you, Like where you.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Just breathe, you can breathe, it.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Was you instead of not being able to breathe, you
actually could breathe.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
You could breathe, and it just felt so right and
so comfortable. And you don't you didn't want to leave,
like I didn't want to leave him. I just wanted
to stay. And I'm a good girl. So I didn't
do anything that night, but I stayed at his hotel.
We stayed at the hermitage. We watched a movie and
in the morning he said, my driver will take you
wherever you want to go. No, my driver will take
(32:47):
you home. And he's like, has some breakfast, you know, yeah,
but I didn't want him to leave because he had
to get on a plane. So it was just anyway.
Six fast forward. Oh, so after we started dating, I
told him about the letter. I told him where I
wrote it, at my church on Main Street in downtown Franklin.
(33:07):
I told him all about you know, downtown Franklin. Now
he has to come and see it. It's so cute,
all the things. So he was so attention to detail
that next time he came to visit. We were driving
down Main Street in downtown Franklin and we passed a
church and he goes, is that your church? Is that
the tree? Is that where you wrote the letter to God?
And I was like yes, And six months later that's
(33:29):
where proposed. Yes, that's where he proposed. Guess who drove
us at the wedding That.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Same driver, Rick the driver stop it.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
It was really cute and we had our first night,
our wedding night before we went to Italy. We went
to Italy for our honeymoon. Before we flew out, we
stayed at the Hermitage for the wedding night. You love traditions,
I do. I do love tradition.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
You love traditions yes, and you love creating special moments.
So the fact that Brandon is so attuned to that
is of crucial.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
That was exactly and that was in my letter to God.
It's so crazy. Well, it was one of the things traditions,
you know, special, you know, just the little things, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (34:11):
And why is that so important to you?
Speaker 1 (34:14):
I think just because growing up we didn't have a
lot of that, like you know, we I didn't grow
up in the same house like he did. He grew
up in the same home. You know that he can
still come back and visit today. Like we moved around
so much. We were gypsies, you know. Oh sorry, should
(34:37):
I turn my sound off on my phone? Was that
your phone? That was my phone? Oh? I thought that
was a computer. No, it's okay, okay, yeah, so should
we she's blown up? Yeah? Okay.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
So he you wanted you wanted stability, you wanted memories,
you wanted stability.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Yes, I wanted memories, I wanted stability, I wanted traditions,
I wanted I wanted peace and you have gotten it. Yeah,
that little pond farm.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
You go out there and it just feels like peace.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
It does. Oh my god, it really does.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
I've created a sanctuary.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
And I want to get into a little pond farm.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
But before we get a little pond farm, I want
to get into your journey to motherhood because you and
I both a lot.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Yeah, we had quite the journey to motherhood. We did.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Ours were different, but we were going through it at
the same time, a lot of loss.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
We both experienced a lot of loss.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Like I had five miscarriages just like naturally and you
had you did, were on the I be journey.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Not at first. I always thought, oh, I was so fertile, myrtle,
you know. Yeah, And and I'll but did you just
think that? I just thought it, Yeah, I just my
mom was fertile. Yeah, so I was like, I'm going
to be fertile. I never thought I would have problems.
I never thought I was going to have problems. So
I was always so scared and and and then uh,
and then so we got pregnant Immediatelyden Brandon and I. Yeah,
(36:05):
and we had a miscarriage. And I'll never forget this
because I tell now any girls to ask me to
go to the doctor immediately, no matter your age, no
matter what, make sure all your levels are good, your progesterone.
You're you know, all the things that are supposed to
be on track because this was due to low pedesterone
and I had no idea and I called immediately when
(36:26):
I found out, and you know, they didn't. I was
thirty six and they and that should have been like, hey,
come in, you know, but they're like, no, we won't
see you until you know. I can't even remember ten
weeks or something.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
That's so much happened to those first time Yes, most
miscarriages had exactly exactly well mind yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Yeah, mine too. So so that sucked? That was that
was hard?
Speaker 2 (36:51):
How did you handle that one? How did you handle
the miscarriage?
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Like? How?
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Because that mine took me down?
Speaker 1 (36:58):
That one didn't take me down as much as the
one that I had a heartbeat with. That was that
was a So was that a life changing one? For me?
Was that hard?
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Did you get pregnant naturally or did you have.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
That was an iui an?
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Iui okay, first, IUI pregnant, okay, so you you're getting pregnant.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
I'm getting pregnant. Yeah, so and that was, uh, that
was gosh. Mom and dad Doll were sending us baby clothes,
his baby clothes, like we were picking out names. We
had celebrated I think Mother's Day and Father's Day or
one of the two, and we were giving each other
cards and we were we were, we were, you know, invested,
(37:36):
and and then it happened, and it was It wasn't
an easy one either, because I didn't want to do
you know, the DNC. So I wanted to do it
naturally because at my age at this point, I think
I was thirty seven or thirty eight, maybe even I
don't even know. And and I didn't want that scar
to shoe. I didn't want anything to hinder me more
(37:58):
than whatever was already hindering me from getting pregnant. So
I decided to do it naturally, and I'll just pass
it and and it'll be fine, and i'll try next month.
Six months goes by, and you didn't pass it. I
passed it partially in a few months. But it was
hard mentally knowing that I was carrying that around, and
(38:19):
it was hard. It was really hard. First I was
in denial, so I didn't even want to do it
because I was in denial. They're wrong, there's a heartbeat,
they're not finding it. And so I went back for
ultrasound after ultrasound, and it was just maybe TMI but
just you know, shrinking, and it was just shrinking me.
It was. It was devastating. So I finally had come
(38:41):
to terms with it and I, uh, you know, I
I they wanted me to take these you know, pills, pills,
but I said.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
No, So so you just did it completely natural nothing.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Yeah, I I was. I was at home and I
started cramping and I was like, okay, the is it.
So I passed some things and I was like that
was it. And it wasn't that bad. It was super painful,
but all now I can grieve. And then later that
night and Brady was in California. Later that night, I
(39:15):
started being I started having real pain, real pain, and
I was like, what's going on? And the doctor had
given me some pain pills. And I, coming from my
Florida man, Florida woman, you know, childhood lifestyle, I didn't
want to take any I didn't like to take any
pills or anything, you know, because I saw what that
did to you know, my mom and stuff. So I
(39:36):
was anti pill, anti everything. So I didn't take anything.
But it was becoming so painful that I had to
call the emergency room. I didn't know what to do.
I was ready to take these pills, that's how bad
the pain was and it and I just had to,
like I just sit on the toilet and because that
was a little bit of a relief, and all of
(39:59):
a sudden, like I was calling Braidon, I was freaking,
and then it passed the real uh huh.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Yeah, I've passed one on the toilet too, and it's
like it's.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Like a huge well mine was still on a stackne
was like a ball. Yeah, and it hurts. Oh, it was.
It was almost like a little mini labor. Yeah. And
I called Braiden. He had a for me. Is just
like flushing it down the toilet. I couldn't do it.
(40:28):
I made Braiden come home and uh, I think he
got it out and buried it and like we had
a thing. But I couldn't do it.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
I should have done that, I probably, I just well,
it's just hard.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
I couldn't process it. I couldn't even I couldn't. I
didn't even look at it.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
M M.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
I couldn't. And I just remember him saying, you did
really good protecting you know, the baby, And I was like,
I don't know just maybe it was intact or something
and he saw it was something. And I don't know,
maybe this is two TMI. Maybe no, I don't know.
A lot of women do they do, and nobody talks
about it. I talked about it all the time. I
(41:04):
talk about it all the time too. I think it's easier,
it's therapeutic, and and it helps one person. Yeah, then
why not? I don't care.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
Did you ever find out what was wrong to make
you miscarriage or miscarry? Or did did you ever get
like a diagnosis?
Speaker 1 (41:16):
Because I never did. I didn't. I didn't know how did.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
How did Holland finally stick? Because that was your last?
Speaker 1 (41:23):
That was my last you had?
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Did you have five embryos?
Speaker 1 (41:26):
We had five and three weren't viable viable, so you
had two two, So you'd already had two miscarriages, and
then you had two more because you did the I
U I. I had the first total miss miscarriage.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
And then you're down to your last embryo.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
I remember that was another that was an I U I.
So okay, we had two embryos, Yeah, I had I
had Yes, we had two and I said put them
both in and they said, I recommend highly not too,
because your chances for twins are very high at your
age and all the thing, which would be awesome. I thought, yeah,
let's do it, let's do it. Yeah, get up, let's
(42:03):
do it. And they they did it against my or
against their you know, suggestions, and and my numbers were
through the roof. I got pregnant with twins. Well, I
don't know, I don't know, the numbers are through the roof.
And I said, do you think it's twins? And they said,
we actually do think it's twins, because I mean, that's
(42:25):
what your numbers are saying. And then they started to
go down. And then of course you go through that
whole like panic, mine panic. And then they leveled and
I just had a uh, the smoothest, the easiest, so
only I just sved it pregnancy. Only one stuck, So.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
The other one's kind of like it's like a vanishing
twin or whatever. Just kind of like, yeah, well, that's
good to know that, like if one doesn't stick, it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
Well, I said, the other's case scenary exactly. Sometimes I mean,
I don't know, you know, for me, but worst case scenario,
I said, you know, I I'm just going to go
for it because this is I'm not going to do
another It's certainly not going to do another retrieval. I
didn't have any eggs, you know, and certainly.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Not exhausting process. Did you cheat yourself up with hormones
then you have to get them taken out?
Speaker 1 (43:14):
I mean, it's like it's very I was so careful
after this. I wouldn't even let Braiden go go over
any bumps on the road. I made him trade in
his like truck with the big wheels for a smoother ride.
I wouldn't fly. I wouldn't like at first, like for
that first day, a couple of days of implantation. I
wouldn't let him laugh. I wouldn't like. I would try
(43:37):
not to let him make me laugh. I didn't want
to like laugh it out. I was just you. I mean,
after seven years I'm trying, yeah, and losing loss and turmoil,
and you know it does a number on your brain. Yes,
so I was. I was psychotic about it, you know,
but I wouldn't eat anything that was Yeah, here comes
(43:58):
our miracle and.
Speaker 2 (43:59):
And she is just is she just your dream come
true from start to finish.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
She is just had to toe my little angel. I
know she is God send. She is a miracle. She
is a miracle. And it's like you don't understand every time.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
I mean I talk about this all the time, but
every time you go through this, like being a mother
is so incredible no matter how you get there. But
when you have gone through loss and loss and loss
and loss, I love you too, But when you go
through so much loss and then you actually get a
little miracle, it's like unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Yeah, it is, it is, you know, I do, it
is I do.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Whenever Sunday came through, I was like, I can't believe it.
I literally cannot believe it.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
You appreciate it so much more, not saying that somebody
who hasn't struggled doesn't, but.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
You just know that you very well might not have
gotten it. Yeah, And the thought of not being a
mother when you want to be a mother is the
most devastating thought.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
It is. It is, And I ache for all.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
The feeling that because so many women feel that, And
it's like the most devastating mindset to be stuck in. Yeah,
because there's nothing you can do, especially when you're trying
everything and it's not working and it's not stuffy, and
you're getting results back that say everything's fine.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
But vitamins, the diet, the the uh you know, the tube,
the diet. Oh yeah, the die test, all that, all
the painful things, all the things. And then I've never
taken birth control my entire life, and they made me
go on birth control to get my I guess cycle
regulated or just because they had to like time it
in their time. Oh, it just felt so counterproductive and
(45:34):
not natural. And not that none of it felt natural,
you know. Yeah, just I prayed a lot, and I, uh,
I just came to terms with them. I mean, this
was you know, this was my journey and and and.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
And now you're here with your beautiful family. You got
your love. After all the heartache and break break breakups
that broke you, you finally got your happy ending with
your love. You got your beautiful daughter, and now you
live in your farm, little pond farm, which I want
to talk about now because this is where we are now. Yes,
after all of your life, you lived such a big life, Nancy.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
I want to write a book. There's a lot after
there's a lot in.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
The cracks in the book. But so now you're back
at a horse farm, it's y'all's farm. You have, Like,
what how many horses?
Speaker 1 (46:17):
Y'all have? Five? We have ten now. Actually we rescued
five from a house that I helped my friend my
friends by I'm a real chor too, so I helped
them buy. I know, you lived so many lives, so
I we we found them this house and it came
(46:37):
with five horses, and they had to move so sad,
and they had to leave their horses, and they're like,
what are we going to do these horses? I was
selling it for them, you know too, And we listed
it and we found a buyer and and the buyer
didn't want the horses. Crazy, so I mean to each
his own again. But we so we said, well we'll
(46:57):
take them because they were going to go to who knows,
So we took them. And so those were our first
five babies. And then now we bored four and so
we get to like, you know, have them and their
pasture horses, and they're amazing and they're the sweetest big
dogs ever. And then we just we just got our
(47:17):
latest edition, who's actually a stall horse. We take full
care of her and she's gorgeous, black and white, like spotted,
beautiful beautiful horse. So we have a very very decorative pasture, a.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
Little pond farm. So now it's turned into a venue,
like it's like or what do we call it? What
is it now?
Speaker 1 (47:35):
Like a destination spot for it is for special events,
special events and music videos, photography everything, little bridal showers.
We're doing a bridal shower next week.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
And where is like, where do people do like the
shower in the barn.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
No, we're gonna do it now in the garden. We're
having a garden party. So we did garden party there
a couple of weeks ago. We had a cookbook shoot there.
Jesse's Jesse Jesse Zucker Cookbook. She's like one of your
besties of all time she is, Yes, yeah, for gosh,
I met her through and then uh Truck and Cassie
they shot their cover cover for Brentwood Lifestyles or yep,
(48:18):
so it's already been on the cover. And then this
little clothing brand Princess and Papa with a beautiful backstory,
they shot their clothing brand shoot there. So we've had
a variety so far in just a couple of months
we've been open for business. I kind of feel like,
you know, it's fine because people I know everyone told
us like we need to shoot out of here, like
(48:39):
okay fall fall minis like all the photographers have, like
all the weekends, like photo shoot.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Out there in my family, on a professional photo shoot
in my family. Are you you got it was born? Okay,
we're gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
Oh come out, yes, yes of course.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
So Little Pond Farm is open for booking and just
kind of like whatever you need, dream up.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
That makes sense. We have a wedding next year. Oh,
this is what I want to talk about. So in October,
October twenty third, we are doing our first barn dinner. There.
You know how the South Paul has the rambling and
they have the Creek dinners and stuff like that, Well,
we're going to do a barn dinner. We're gonna have
it's gonna the theme is going to be spaghetti Western
(49:18):
because it's so may right, I mean Italian and Western
and oh my gosh. And we'll be debuting the barn
basically like a ribbon cutting. We're going to have all
kinds of fun stuff and it's going to be epic.
We're going to have square dancing or line dancing. Custom
embroidery handkerchiefs are going to be there. I'm even talking
to Jen about her hat company maybe doing a little
(49:41):
partnership with her there and some live music from Alyssa
Bonnegera love her saying she's great, and yeah, so can
you buy tickets to it? We're gonna buy. Yeah, it's
going to be a ticketed event for some first serve.
I think we're only going to have forty seats available, Okay,
So yeah, so it's gonna be fun, it's gonna be amazing,
(50:02):
which is gonna be insane, which leads Nancy. Okay, so
we got to talk about this too.
Speaker 2 (50:08):
You're also an incredible party planner, Like I have never
seen someone plan parties like you. You are so detail oriented,
going back to like when you met Branden, how you
love the details and that was part of the love story.
You are so detail oriented. I came to my first
Nancy Doll party last summer. You put on a Goonies
party and I just thought, like, Oh, we're just gonna
(50:29):
go out to Yil's beautiful little pond farm and watch
a movie.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Oh contraire.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Is literally you have every food dish is a play
on something with the Goonies.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
It's like the decorative, it's all throughout. I love food.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
And then you do like you did, like a wall
with like I just I can't even quite describe.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
How much pictures.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
Well flash the pictures.
Speaker 1 (50:54):
We'll flash the pictures. And then you did like fun,
it's so fun.
Speaker 2 (50:57):
Collin's birthday party, uh, run for the Roses.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Yeah, so she had turned four and of course, you know,
growing up with the horse theme and everything like that,
we did Run for the Roses. It was a Derby theme, yeah,
and it was next level. Yeah, it was amazing. And
then you did a Jaws party again, and so a
jaw Roomy night. Every summer we do a backyard movie
night at the farm and this year because it was
(51:20):
the fiftieth anniversary of the movie Jaws that came out
in uh seventy five. So yeah, we did it and
it was it was epic. It was also it was
so fun that business is Also we had a live
shark there. Just kidding. I mean it would not shock me.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
So just I feel like in this part of your
life you are kind of moving into the entertaining space,
like the you've done so you've been entertained tainer entertainment
with modeling and TV work and all that, and now
it's like you have this such this creative outfit that
I love that is coming into this part of your
life where you're like got your venue which is where
you live, and it's amazing you have your entertaining business.
(51:58):
Does that have a name yet? Do we have our
like or is it just because it's kind of just
through word of mouth? But I feel like it's having
to take a word of mouth.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
I don't know, but do you have any suggestions? It
has to do something with the doll obviously obviously.
Speaker 2 (52:10):
But I love to see like this whole next shock, Well,
that was delicious?
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Delicious? Was I have mis astallisious apron and and some
of my I talk about when I do recipes on
Instagram and stuff like that, I'll do it's delicious and
I'll like, you know, do stuff like that. I don't
know what's the book next year? Next year? Ever? You
just like whip stuff up. I scratch.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
We went over to your house and like you had
made this drink that had so many things in it
that was so good, and you're like from the garden,
put us off from the garden, Like what because also
in your past life. You're on Master Chef, which weren't
about to get into that, but like you were on
Master Chef, I mean, you've just lived such a wild life, Nancy,
and now to just settle down into the homestead.
Speaker 1 (52:51):
I just love it. It's the dream, living the dream.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
What are you loving the most of your life right now?
Speaker 1 (52:56):
I love this season in life. I love the flexibility
and the freedom to just be able to It's before kindergarten,
so it's you know, we can pick up and go
and go on vacation and just show her everything that
you know that there is out there. It's a big world,
and I just want to show her everything. So we've
(53:19):
just been going away on vacation a lot, you know,
and and also just staying home too and taking care
of the animals. And I love I just love being
home with her. You know, we have a pool, so
she's just really into the pool and really into swimming
and kitten and we just got a brand new little
baby kitten. She's so cute. She fits in my hands
(53:40):
and she's just like she's just a white she looks
like a snowball. She's blue eyes and all white. Little
she'll be complete like owl bait if we put her
outside or bait, I don't know. So she stays in
right now. And she's the only one, you know, of
the animals, because everyone loves to be outside. You know.
We have a dog, we have two barn cats, we
(54:01):
have nine chickens, and just holland just I love watching
her grow up on the farm, like I did, you know.
I love watching her go feed the chickens and feed
the animals and giving the horses treats and pulling the
stuff out of the garden and if I'm lucky, bringing
things back in the house because she'll literally pull it
(54:21):
out and just start eating it, you know. And and
it's fun to watch her develop and learn and just
you know, we don't send her to school like every day,
but when she goes to school, she'll come home and she'll,
you know, sing this new song or she'll just you know,
just start teaching us things, you know. And she's four,
(54:44):
and it's and it's just pretty amazing, just.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Like all your dreams are coming true, every last one
of them, every last.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
One, Nancy. Okay.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
I always wrap up with leave your Light, and it's
just super open ended. What do you want people to know?
Just drop some inspiration.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Well, if you can, if you can see it and
believe it and feel it and you want it, then
it can be yours. And that is really, really, really
true because I didn't come from anything. You know. I
came from a very abusive family, very abusive, and they
abused us, and they abused themselves. Your mom and dad
(55:25):
drugs and alcohol. No, dad was a little No, he
was not abusive at all, but he was very submissive
and he would let the abuse happen. So so I
guess that is a form of abuse, you know. And
that went on for pretty much my whole life. So
the confidence was attacked, you know, the worth you're worth,
(55:48):
worth was attacked, everything was attacked. And I had to
completely build that up and with God and you know,
going to church on my own and just and and
strictly just you know, wanting to get out and believing it.
And you know, I developed self worth and I developed
all these things and and I just fought for it.
(56:09):
And you have to, really just you have to fight
for it. I mean I did coming from where I
came from. So I know that's not like I'm going
back to the non light that I am bringing out
the light like that, like I now see the light,
you know, and I didn't when I was growing up,
but you kept putting in the hard work to get there, exactly.
(56:31):
I put in the hard work and and we've built,
really we've cultivated something really special with our you know,
with our farm, and we really built something beautiful with
our family, and that together is just a miracle and
it's a blessing. And I'm just I give all the
(56:52):
glory and honor to God every single day. So I
love that, Nancy, Nancy. Sorry, Okay.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
So if people want to find Little Pond Farm, where
can they find it? Where can they find all your stuff?
They want to hire you for events? Where can they
where can they reach you?
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Let's give them a little, uh a little tagline maybe
I don't know, at Little Pond Farm, t n t
En Okay. And then and then we'll give them my
my contact information. Okay.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
So every if they want to contact you, just go
to at Little Little Pond Farm Ta in Yes.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
And I think my contacts, my email and phone number
on my Instagram, so okay, they can. And I think
the website is going to be done, I think next week.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
So okay, I'm so proud of you, find being your
friend for twenty years, and just to te you where
we both ended up. I know what a journey this,
I know. And now my daughters are like literally like
one O the par and they have so much they
love each other, which is so cute.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
I know. I love that. I love it.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
Thank you so much for joining, so grateful for having
stick around for a quick little Monus episode of a
few questions.
Speaker 1 (57:58):
Tell me, Mark, I love it. I love that. Yes,
let's do it. Okay,
