Speaker 1 (00:00):
I just want to be with you all the time,
as does everyone who's in your presence, because you are
such a goddess and I mean that like from my
full heart, Like you really are. You are like a
goddess and a guide of life, and it is so
awesome to be friends with you. And I love that
we're born on the same day. Like I feel like
I feel so connected you in so many ways that
I'm like, I literally look up to you so much
as a spiritual guide and sister, and I just am

(00:22):
so thankful to be in your orbit. So how to
for someone who is literally like what in the God's
green earth are they talking about? This is so insane,
Like I am sitting down here with a mortgage payment
to kids, Like are we going to get like a
paycheck that Bailey covers anything? Like we're not healthy, we're
eating at McDonald's. I'm not on a routine. There is

(00:43):
no self care, Like I'm so tired, I'm not doing
a job that's my passion, you know, Like so many
people who have gotten into this place in life that
they know it's just not their highest and best self,
but they feel like they want to get there. Your
word for this year is joy, and you are all
about joy, and you've gone literally on a Your whole
life has been a pilgrimage to find your true truist,

(01:04):
highest self. And like after Egypt, it was so clear
to you joy being in the divine feminine. So how
does someone who who has no idea how to implement
joy in their life but knows they are desperately lacking
it and needing it and craving it and burnt out
on the break brink of burnt out? How do you
implement joy into your life when you feel like it's

(01:25):
just almost impossible to do Such a good question. I'm
gonna sit with that for a second. What comes to
me is just, you know, picturing that woman with the
mortgage and the kids, and you know, no time and
in a sense of scarcity, and isn't being able to
make the time to take care of her body. If
you can just find one thing, one small thing every

(01:49):
day to focus on that is beautiful, that brings you joy,
that brings you a sense of conscious awareness outside of
the day to day, and that can be something as
simple as you know, my my five year old kissed
me three seconds longer before she left for school, today
than she normally does. Or I'm taking my kids on

(02:12):
a stroller walk and I see, you know, about of
flowers that I pass every single day, I just stop
and I stare at it and taking the beauty of
that flower, like simple tiny little acts of consciousness and
unplugging and unplugging intentionally. Yes, if you can really afford it,
Because here's the thing. I think we need time away

(02:34):
from our lives as much as we need sleep, water, food, sex,
you know, nourishment, money, Like we needed time away and
that creates you know, that can manifest as a vacation. Sure,
but someone like who you're talking to you might not
have the ability to take a vacation. So maybe it's

(02:55):
just a few hours that you take to yourself when
you draw a bit of boundary and you make it
your your focus and assignment that hour to sit still
and listen and be with yourself or connect to something
that just makes you feel good for you, for no
other you and your own true indulgence in feeling good. Oh.
I love that. That that and making that as much

(03:19):
of a practice as you can. And I think you know,
being able to be our own arbiters of discipline around
things like that and not getting getting out of our
own way. And that goes back to our conversation about
stepping outside of our comfort zones. And I know that
sometimes those things can feel and are a luxury. So

(03:41):
if you have the capacity to take just a little
bit of time, a little bit of consciousness, maybe you
don't even have the ability to take a couple of
hours away. How can you bring a little bit more
conscious awareness in your day to day of your every
day that feels good by looking at it differently, by
becoming them to it. I love that, and I think

(04:01):
that that goes back to what why everyone always talks
about meditation and figuring out ways to have moments of stillness,
Like you really do have to like block time for yourself,
even if it's just a small window. And this is
where boundaries come to such play. Which boundaries I my
new Like that's like almost one of my words this year.
I had no idea it was codependent until last year.
I had a breakthrough with Kathy Heller and Terry Cole.

(04:21):
They had a conversation and I was like, oh my god,
I'm totally codependent and had no idea. But so boundaries
are huge. But you have to block out a moment
of time for yourself every day where you get out
of your loop of what's going on, and you're, like
you said, get out of your life because you never
get a moment. And it's even what you and Mary
and Williamson we're talking about it, like if you don't

(04:42):
have a moment to like take that bath, to like
decompress from the hustle and the intensity of all the
responsibilities and what you're doing in the world, you have
to have a moment too to separate from it and
calm down and let your nervous systems calm down and
detach
