March Madness Day 1 didn't disappoint at all with upsets all around and plenty of close games. Eddie gives a report from the Des Moines games after he went to the Arkansas vs Illinois game. because she was a cheerleader in college and she had
a friend that was on the cheerleading team at Princeton.
So she picked Princeton. So if you look at her
final four, it is best on which school has the
best cheerleaders. Obama they have great cheerleaders, apparently, Kentucky apparently

they're a strong cheerleading program. Texas have good cheerleading. And
also she is a big Texas fan and she works
with the Texas cheerleading. I don't agree with that. I mean,
she has four of the top top teams, like, no, no,
she has Kentucky in the final four. That's fine. I mean,
that's fine. But that's what I'm saying. She based it
off of I'm telling you her picks are based on cheerleading.

Anything she knows about cheerleading, that's how she picked. That's

someone that cheered at that school, or if she works

So you get a chance to look at everybody else,

Kansas going to the Elite eight and losing to Gonzaga. Correct.

night proved that he could not play. And he is

not going to play tomorrow. There's no chance he plays tomorrow.

But he can't. He did one cut into the lane
to get a jump shot and he immediately grabbed the groin.

to side I guess, And they're gonna play Auburn, whose

know the health status of Sasser. When I watched him
get hurt in the conference tournament and he was writhing

he didn't look fine to me. But that tells me
that he's not going to be able to play tomorrow,
and that that was already four days off that he
had between games. So if they are lucky to get

by Auburn, is another four days going to be the difference?
Is he gonna be able to play? No, it's not
looking good to me, and he's their best player. Without him,
they look lost. I think Houston looked sad when he
got hurt. The body language of the team was like,

we're not good enough to win a national title. We
we can't win a national without him. We can't win.
That's where that's where as a coach, you say, we're
gonna do this for Sasser. But he tried. He was
trying to. But they the body language was they were defeated.
They won the game, but they were defeated. They were
getting outrebounded by these little guys from northern Kentucky who

have no business outrebounding them big old freaking monsters. Yeah
they got They got a lot of rebounds, and that
tells me. They just they were so sad. And they
saw Sasser sitting on the sideline with whatever he had
wrapped around his leg and they said, icy hot pack. Damn,

with him, but we can't win it without him. We can't.

As much as you want to say, oh, next man up,
he is their best player. He has everything to them.
So to me, the highlight, the headline from day one
is Houston is dead. Houston, It's over. If you picked
Houston to win it, you're not gonna win your bracket. Period.
I didn't do that. I think the Sasser is their MVP,

and he's their best offensive player, and he's not gonna
be there. He's not gonna be able to play against
Auber if he made one cut and was out against
Northern Kentucky, he's not gonna keep up with the speed
of Auburn's guards. Now, can Houston beat Auburn without him? Maybe,
but they can't win a national title without no, no chance. No.
I agree with that. So there's my reasoning. That's my bracket.

And did you watch basketball all day? I watch to
take a break, zero breaks, just checking coach. I don't
take breaks, not one break. I may win pe during
the commercial and food you brought it to the living room.

you know, you know what's cool when you go to
a live game, you don't know what the hell is
going on in other games. And then no, that's not true.
They played on the on the JumboTron. If there's a
close game happening, they extend the timeouts, so and everyone
there in the middle of a time out, drawing the plays,
and then I think it was at that point it
was Virginia about to lose, and they stopped thirty seconds

left in the game, and both teams just stopped and
looked at the JumboTron, watched the end of the game,
and then they're like, all right, pay attention, let's go,
let's get back. That's cool. Yeah, yeah, that I thought
that was really cool. I've never seen that before. I
haven't been to a live like NC double a tournament
game and since college. Yeah, this is my second. So

I that is so interesting that so the fans can
watch it on the JumboTron, because I thought maybe league
close games, or if they're time out they played, they'll
play something else that's like somewhat close. I just thought
when I said, oh, he's one of the game, there's
no way he saw the ending of the Virginia game.
I thought there was nobody saw that. Let me tell you,
Oh my god, that was unbelievable, because hey, I have

A Clark gets trapped in the corner. He's on the
right baseline. They inbounded to him and he gets trapped

But the smart player is to call a timeout. But
the fact that that guy caught it at mid court?

Who was that? Who is that guy? I don't know exactly.
No one knows his name, No one knows. I don't
know the guy's name that made the shot of it,
but I know Kya Clark or whatever, the senior from
Virginia that blew the freaking game. But he was smart
enough to catch it. And Furman was still composed in
looking and he made a great pass instead of trying

to dribble it. You know what I mean, to dribble
into a three. He hits the guy boom, huh. Two
point two seconds left. But here's the problem. They still
let Virginia get off a great shot in two seconds.
They let him get all the way over mid court
for a good three pointer. Where was the defense like

it in. I don't know, but unbelievable you would have done.

get there. If I'm a top athlete in college, I'm not.
I'm looking at Virginia. There is no way in hell

guys immediately turn around and start running back. On defense,
they don't even try to rebound on the offensive glass.

Because they run such a slow offense that there's really

and what were you impressed by? Texas didn't watch bunch
of their game because there was a blowout most of

you look at the beginning of the term tournament, the

beginning of yesterday. You look at these teams, You're like,
I mean, Arizona's got a shot, Houston, I mean for sure,
number one seed, Like, yes, these teams have good shots.
But then you look at Duke dominating the way they did.
You look at Texas dominating the way they did. Yeah,
they played Colgate, but still, I mean, still, it's all good.
They're all gonna supposed to be good games. We didn't
see who played Houston again. No, Northern Kentucky. Northern Kentucky

did not see that coming, didn't. I didn't see that
close of again coming. I thought they were gonna win
the damn game. I really did. For a little bit,
I started thinking they were gonna win, which would have
been crazy. Again, would have been awesome. But you see
these you see who's kind of separating the men from
the boys a little bit. Texas is one of them,
Kansas is one of them, Duke's one of them. You

love about the NCUBA Tournament because game one, if you
play lights out, oh my god, they can win the tournament.

If you look at Saint Mary's last year, you might

run next game they got beat by twenty. That is

You can adjust your game plan with that, you can

you rely on your point guard? Did you run all
your offense to your point guard? Yes? Change it up though,

they could really be dangerous. Here's the problem is the
people that are bringing the ball up now are not
used to dribbling the ball. They're not used to be

fast as soon as you cross the half court. But
if you pressure them even a little bit back court,

the game. But I'm just saying they're not used to
being the ball handler. They're not used to being the
