Speaker 1 (00:05):
What's up? You guys are listening to a Velvet Edge minisoda.
I'm here with Adam Bobo from Arite. Is that I
say it always meet paranoid as that it wrong, which
is a company that does I VS. Right. So I'm
currently getting an ivy. As you can tell, my voice
is still a little raspy. I've been struggling with this
for like three weeks now, and um, Bobo texted me
(00:26):
and said, this is seriously going to help you if
you just get an IVY. Why is this going to
help me? Well, the big part of it just at
its base of being fluid, you're getting hydrated. Um. One
of the most difficult parts of your body, so to speak,
to hydrated, your vocal cords. So the reason you see
a lot of artists use the can humidifiers and different
(00:47):
things like that. Um, we're constantly dehydrated from travel and
coffee and um just not enough fluid intake in and
of itself. That hydration is as a key to uh,
you know, recovering your voice in and of itself. That
has to be what's happening. Because I was sick, like
I just had a cold, and then this is lingered
(01:08):
for like three weeks, but I've been really busy, so
I probably haven't been drinking enough water. Do you think
it's just like stuck in my vocal cords? Yeah? That,
and I mean you're always only go you're talking a
lot things, you know, it doesn't those aren't aren't things
that actually help promote recovering your voice. So that's a
big piece of it. And then on the sick front, UM,
you know, we add some different things to the bag.
(01:30):
So in your bag you'll have vitamin C UM. People
usually associate vitamin C with airborne and emergency. It's the
quick grab at cvs that you can pop when you're
not feeling good or you're about to fly. UM. The
problem is with that is you're really only getting about
a thousand milligrams of vitamin C and the absorption rate
of that orally is around twenty six. So if we
(01:53):
give you fifty on the high and you're getting about
five milligrams UM, your bag alone has fifteen thousand milligrams
in it, which is a pretty potent dose of antiviral,
antioxidant cell regenerative property UM. So you're actually getting a
more adequate dose for what your needs are. UM. Tames. So,
so that is like, that's an intense boost from my
(02:15):
immune system. I'm exactly exactly Wow, Okay, what else is
in there? Um, you've got some B vitamins is a
B complex. You know. B vitamins have both antioxidant properties
as well as energy creating properties. It's the same thing
with like a B twelve you'll get a B twelve
shot as well. UM. The thing with B twelve people
always associate B twelve with energy. That's the most common thing.
(02:40):
B twelve does help your energy levels, but it does
it by um working as a catalyst, making your body
more efficient at converting fats, proteins, and carbs to energy.
So it's not like you're actually getting a shot of caffeine.
I have clients at night that I give B twelve
two or who are always concerned like they're going to
stay up. UM. Usually what keeps you up at night
(03:02):
from an ivy is being completely hydrated, because that's a
big part of why you get afternoon fatigue in general,
you're dehydrated. That so B twelve does that, but it
also boost your immune system. It's great for your skin. UM.
It also has um it augments your red blood cell production,
which basically means you get more red blood cells, so
your endurance is picked up. Um, there's a lot of
(03:24):
benefits to it. So all those B vitamins kind of
fall into those categories of antioxidant and energy producing things.
So it'll like help heal my voice faster too, probably
exactly interesting. Okay. Another thing will end up doing is
um a quartico steroid shot. Okay, I've been bagging people
because I want to give me Yeah, I'm not a
(03:45):
big proponent. Really I love steroids. I mean that sounds
like I'm like a meathead, but it makes you get
better faster every time. Yeah, so it can help with inflammation.
My big thing is it's it's something you don't want
to be basically putting quote of course steroids into your
body all the time, but really when you lose your voice,
that can help recover it faster. Um, when you get sick.
(04:08):
It's the kind of thing that you know, you go
to a dock in the box and you get a
steroid shot in a zipac will. Really most times it's
just a viral thing you never needed antibotic for, but
the steroid helps you go through the next seventy two
hours feeling better, and then you finished the antibotic two
days after that and you think, oh great, I'm better now,
when really you just have the virus from its course,
(04:29):
you never needed the antibotic, but the steroid really can
help minimize some of that inflammation. And then the other
thing that we'll use to help minimize inflammation is UH,
an anti inflammatory called toward all. You talk about this
one all the time, right, yeah, I mean it's it's
one that you don't want to use a lot again
(04:50):
um it, but it's a super potent UH anti inflammatory.
It would basically be like you know, the steroid meathead
dose of atil. So that's kind of what that is,
and that'll kind of suppress some of the swelling inflammation
that's probably going around going on around your vocal cords.
(05:12):
So that's kind of the shot piece of it. And
then I'm a huge proponent of UM. This kind of
falls in the skin beauty piece of it. UM Glutathon
this is the one you talk about. So this is
the one I talked about today everyone UM I nerd
out to it because of the cancer prevention. So there's
a lot of research right now in the cancer space
(05:34):
with glutathone um in augment or using it alongside chemotherapy
and radiation, and cancer patients are having better outcomes, less
side effects of chemo, and so I kind of nerd
out to that. And they've done some studies and seeing
that a lot of people high high high ninete percentile
of cancer patients have low GLUDA found levels. So I've
(05:57):
kind of started using it in myself. I mean, yeahs
your skin look better, but it's a huge antiosty. Do
you mean it makes your skin look better? Like what?
So the way I tell people imagine, um, you use
a topical antioxidant serum, it's usually got vitamin C in it.
That's pretty much the most common thing that's in there. Well,
(06:20):
we work so hard on our skin, which is an
organ in our bodies. Topically, we do botox and filler
and creams and lotions and sunscreens and antioxidant serums. Why
don't we do that at the cell level from the
inside out? UM, Vitamin sees a massive antioxidant. The thing is,
glutathione is an even bigger antioxidants, the most potent antioxidant
(06:41):
in our body. It decreases with age by the time
you hit thirty, it's dropped by and it only goes
down from there. So when I say it helps your skin,
I usually tell people that consistent use of glutathione will
give your skin kind of a porcelain glow to it,
like makeup free. Who wouldn't want that? Yeah exactly, Yeah,
(07:03):
she's okay, so I'm getting that today. Yes, so you'll
get that today. Okay. When I always remember the first
time I met you, I was like, we'll have to
call you next time I have a hangover and You're like, Okay,
there's a lot more to I VS. Than hangover prevention
or hangover help. So what are the other kind of
things you do? I know you talk a lot about
Like you just talked about the glue to thigh perfect
(07:24):
you say it, I'll just just like just point um.
But that does that go into what do you call it?
The beauty bag? Beauty bag? Yes, this is another thing
you guys do. Yeah, so we do stuff. I call
it the beauty bag. I hate. You know a lot
of other ivy companies out there have cute names for
their services, like the flu Buster and the cold Buster
(07:47):
and the athletes Performance Bag. And we try to stray
away from that, but in the beauty space, it's easier
just to say we have a beauty bag and keep
it simple. Yeah, we have a beauty bag. It's great
for your skin, it's great for um any occident, detox
of your organs. Biggest organ, invisible organ is your skin.
So didn't you tell me, like one of your clients
(08:10):
went in to get her botox or whatever had stopped
using the beauty bag for a month and her person
could tell Yeah. So she has a you know, a
topical person that she goes in to see. And we
used to see her like every week every other week
pretty consistently, and holidays things get busy. She took about
a month and a half off and she had gone
(08:31):
in to see her girl who does her injectables, and
they said, um, do you still do the I V s?
And she was like, well, yeah, but I haven't done
it and you know, a month or two and they said, yeah,
your skin looked better the last time you were here
when you were doing those regularly. And she was like, well,
I'm gonna go back to doing that. Agree. Yeah, So
is it just because of the hydration. Mainly hydration a
(08:52):
big piece um the glutathiou on the bottom and sea like.
I feel like everybody thinks their skin looks better when
you put that topical antioxidant ceremony, But you're not really
doing anything to the cell. You're just putting it on
the surface of your skin, and it gives your skin
that smooth, attractive appearance. Well. With glutathon and vitamin C
(09:16):
being such potent antioxidants, you're actually detoxing the cell. You're
detoxing the cell at that level as opposed to, you know,
just putting something on your face. I have a lot
of clients who get botox who swear that they get
less botox when they get IVY s. I mean, it
makes sense to me. It's the same reason I try
to eat certain foods or detox with tea, things like that. Interesting,
(09:39):
So that's a big What are some of the other
reasons you would tell people to get an IVY besides hangovers?
I think anybody can benefit from an IVY. I usually
tell people the one person I exclude from IVYES is
the person who works a nine to five, who eats
a really well balanced, healthy diet, who exercises three times
(10:00):
a week, doesn't work out. I'm talking about thirty minutes
of exercise, who goes to bed at the same time,
wakes up at the same time, who doesn't travel much
and lives a pretty you know, standard healthy life without
doing too much of anything. Um, that person's benefit from
ivy's would be more marginal and they drink about a
gallon of water a day. Okay, basically the opposite of
(10:23):
my life. Exactly the opposite of a lot of our
clients and a lot of young entrepreneurs, older business people, UM, artists, athletes,
people like that that that just live more rigorous lifestyles. UM.
And I usually tell people like parents with newborns like
that always struggles your sleep so erratic, you're not getting
(10:45):
effective sleep. Like those people can really benefit from IVYS
because for especially like their first or second kid, Like
you're in that moment of my life is no longer
about me, and IVY can help me take care of
myself without me having to do it because your life
becomes about a child. So yeah, do you see a
(11:06):
lot of correlation between people who are sleep deprived and
like their need for IVS like hydration or anything. Does
there anything any correlation? Usually because I usually say why
are they sleep deprived. Their usually sleep deprived because they're
traveling and working a lot. That usually comes along with
coffee and yeah, it's hard to get good quality food
after you know, nine o'clock at night. Um, people, you know,
(11:31):
those lifestyles that come along with being sleep deprived are
usually lifestyles that that there's a reason you're sleep deprived
because you're working so much and that just requires another
level of energy and caffeine and different things. And I
think those people usually end up being a lot more
dehydrated and and could use a lot more additional hydration
(11:52):
and vitamin supplementation to to make them more effective at
their life. Yeah. So basically I need to see like
every week is what you're telling me, Yeah, or twice
a week every day whenever you know, whatever you want
to do? Okay, where can people find you? Um, you
can find us a few different places. We have a
new small little office down in the gulch This is
(12:14):
in Nashville. If you're in Nashville, in Nashville and the
gulch Um, it's just inside of a cycle place called
Tilt Cycle Um on the North gulch Um. And then
our Instagram is Airte Nashville and you spell at a
r e t e again. So Airte is Greek and
(12:34):
it means excellence of any kind. Uh. Socrates used it
to describe people of moral, spiritual, um, overall healthy well being.
So we kind of stepped away from the traditional IVY
names of I'm not going to use them, but you know,
the traditional IVY company names, and UM wanted to be
(12:57):
a company more about total body, wellness, mind, yeah, body,
the whole thing. So that's what air ta means is
excellence of any kind. I love that, so find that
on Instagram if you guys have any more questions about
this kind of stuff. UM, I call him Bobo this
that's his last name. But Adam can help you with
all of your questions. And thanks for doing us with me.
(13:18):
I'll keep you guys posted on my voice too. Hopefully
we're going to see some miraculous well yeah, all right,
thank you guys for listening. Bye,
